A detailed look at the new eight Druid Travel forms introduced in the 9.1.5 update.

Scribes will be able to learn new recipes and create "glyph-like" marks that teach Druids new Travel forms in Patch 9.1.5. All of the models already exist in the game.

wow this is pretty hype

New forms is great it is definitely a step in the right direction for druid xmogs, but I don't want the same tired boring expansion models I want some kind of armor model that can be worn with the shapeshifted form rather than changing the form itself, and while I dont like Boomkin bring some love to my feathered friends they are lacking most of all. I spend 90% of my gameplay in cat form and would rather see character models improved and expanded in those areas than another glorified mount.

Any chance of updated cheetah form ?? cause i hate the stag form is looks so fugly, even the new model. *shivers* This is why my druid is a Zandalari Troll.......land travel form is a bloody raptor and the flight travel form is a flying dinosaur. No need to change the travel form models in the barbershop.

if the new flight forms won't permit the passenger-carry I earned in Legion then I'm probably sticking with the lovely giant bird. I did find the Night vendor for the sable ardenmoth, haven't bought it yet though.

New Druid Forms and Ardenweald

I love the fact that druids are getting a ton of customisations but i would have loved to have seen some of the animals turned into druid forms from ardenweald. Like the moth for a flight form, runestag as a travel form etc

Both of the examples you cited do actually exist in game and I’m running around with them right now (unless I’m missing your point entirely).

Eight New Druid Forms are Now Available - Raven Flight Form, Runestag Travel Form and More

• Visit Droman Dawnblossom in Ardenweald and follow the dialogue prompts
• Pick up the Fae Net
• Go to Val'sharah and find a Vale Flitter
• Use the Fae Net while targeting the Vale Flitter
• Make sure you get the Glowing Moth buff - you now have 20 minutes to get back to Droman Dawnblossom
• You will learn Mark of the Shimmering Ardenmoth

I love these! I'm really glad that one of my druids is a scribe. Hope we get more glyphs in general, and especially more (and/or updated) forms for other classes too.

With the vale flitter moth, you can actually use someone else’s pet vale flitter to get the buff. Source: me who did it yesterday

As someone who actively used Tmorph back in Wrath era, I can assure you that making these "new" forms for druids did NOT take more than 10 minutes. Cheap work done over lunch break. Really really disappointing. Almost makes me wonder --- what are they even doing at Blizzard. From the looks of it, their entire WoW team gotta consist of like 3 people. If it was so quick and easy and didn't interfere with anything you consider important right now, can you explain why adding more customization for players is a negative thing? This is just complaining for the sake of complaining, imo. No, it's not complaining for the sake of complaining. Why should we praise them for something that's done so cheaply? Will you praise BMW for making a new belt buckle after they've been using the same one for over a decade? You defo won't. None of these are new forms. They are existing models. Sure, it's nice for a change to be a magical goat instead of a deer. That's about it. Thank god Blizzard ignores players' feedback, if they heard to people like you, nothing would get added to the game.

As a Mage, I strongly dislike Druids being given Raven form before Mages. That's kind of the whole thing with Medivh/Khadgar. Sad. It's not a new thing. Night elves, Worgen, and kinda sorta the Tauren, default flight form is a crow. Storm crow to be exact. While only the Worgen version is black this new one is obviously more so. Khadgar and Medivh are special characters. With special exclusive "features" unavailable to us. An by 0 means the whole thing for either of them.

Yes been so looking forward to these new forms, especially the crow, will fit my worgen druids so nicely. I do hope for future there would be more unique forms, more race specific, the ardenweald stags and butterflies weren't really what I wanted for new forms. But they'll do. I hope shaman ghost form gets some love next.

As a Mage, I strongly dislike Druids being given Raven form before Mages. That's kind of the whole thing with Medivh/Khadgar. Turning into a Raven isn't because they are mages. It's because of Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian . A weapon wieldable by not only mages, but druids, warlocks, and priests.

I predicted once that atiesh’s raven form would be a Druid form for 9.1.5, but now that I got the pitch black raven for free, I can save 15k gold, do it during the day, or else the lady will be a worgen at night

It's because of Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian . A weapon wieldable by not only mages, but druids, warlocks, and priests. The staff does not give them that ability. How do we know this? Medivh can still transform without the staff. We see this in RtK several times. Khadgar also specifically says on the way to Aszuna that the form is meant to look like Atiesh's raven. He does not say that the staff gives him that ability. Khadgar also says it is his favorite spell that he had learned from Medivh. We learn this from the Harbinger audio story. Therefore Medivh crafted the spell to mimic Atiesh's raven headpiece and taught the spell to Khadgar, and does not require Atiesh to use the spell. With that said, the raven form should have been given to Mages. Perhaps as a fun glyph for Slow Fall.

As a Mage, I strongly dislike Druids being given Raven form before Mages. That's kind of the whole thing with Medivh/Khadgar. I really get tired of people saying this. Raven form is not a mage thing. The only reason Medivh and Khadgar can turn into a raven is because of their staff of Atiesh, which was held by every guardian before them. So if anything, it's more of a guardian power, and not all guardians were mages before they were imbued with those powers. On the other hand, Ravens and druids go way back. In BC, druids had to acquire Raven Stones to piece together into The Book of the Raven, and then use it's knowledge to defeat Anzu the Raven God for their first Swift Flight Form.

Not sure if I'm missing something, but went to talk to Droman Dawnblossom and the only dialog option I have is to have her talk about the grove and nothing else. There is no option to pickup a Fae Net and therefore cannot use the workaround of a pet to get the buff. Do I have to use a druid who is not already max level?

The article is incorrect. Patch 9.1.5 actually includes nine new Druid forms; six new Flight Forms, two new Travel Forms, and a new bear form. :) What exactly is incorrect? Title says 8 are available now (which is correct because we don't have TW for the bear form yet) and the article says 9.1.5 includes eight forms which is also correct, because if it's right to say 9 formas are included it is also right to say 8 are included. It's also right to say 1 is included. It would be wrong to say "exactly eight are included", but they didn't write that. :)

Is Mark of the Sable Ardenmoth bugged? I bought it on the AH because it says "Travel Form" but when used it shows in the Flight Form options and not Travel Form. Disappointed!

Where exactly are these on the AH ? cause it's not the druid glyph tab for whatever reason, you have to manually search for them to show up. just search for "mark" or "mark of the" and they'll show up amongst other things.

Can't ride druids in travel form?

I was in an old raid today with a druid and I was VERY UPSET to find out I could not jump on the back of a druid in travel form like usual. Did something change with this? Is this game even worth playing if I cannot ride on random druids in my raid?

Can’t carry passengers in travel form any more. Has to be the stag form. Druids need to go learn/buy it if they haven’t already had that form.

Moonglade also works – one of the vendor NPCs in one of the buildings should have a bunch of druid only tomes to purchase, one of which is stag Mount form.

Please tell me this form doesn’t actually change the looks of your travel form, I just spent 3 day grinding 8 hour sessions to unlock Zandalari trolls and I don’t wanna dismiss that hard work because Blizzard decided that using these new forms they made would make too much sense

Nope, it stays the ground mount form. But there’s a difference between Travel form and Mount form.

Travel form will change automatically on its own according to the context youre in.

Mount form will stay as the ground mount regardless

Ah sorry. For your main Druids (Tauren, Troll, Night Elf), default is stag form for all 3 (slight variations but all 3 still stag)

Ah well I’m playing a Zandalari with their raptor travel form, that’s why I was asking if it would change that to a default stag or not. Thank goodness it doesn’t.

Btw has anyone noticed that it seems they nerfed the speed of the travel form? I’m pretty sure it’s at 80% speed now instead of 100% as evidenced by the fact that I lag behind people on their mounts in bgs and there is a new warmode talent that “increases the speed of travel from by 20%”.

You don’t get the +60% movespeed bonus (for a total of +100%) from Travel Form L2 in BGs or Arenas. You still do get it in War Mode in the open world (for a total of +120% with the extra +20% from the war mode talent).

People use the term “stag form”. But now that we have options, my females always use “doe form”.

This is not new. I used it in bgs throughout BfA.
