This ultimate Oahu circle island tour takes you around the entire island and includes stops at the beautiful Byodo-In Temple, the Pali Lookout, the botanical garden at Waimea Valley, the Dole Plantation and more! From Waikiki heading east, the first stop is at Amelia Earhart Point on the foothills of Diamond Head, a great lookout point. Traveling along Oahu's southeastern shore, we arrive at the Halona Blowhole and the "From Here to Eternity" beach, made famous by the only Oscar-winning movie made in Hawaii. Continuing on, we'll drive by Sandy Beach and Makapu'u Lookout, where you will see the island's most recent lava flows and enjoy incredible panoramic views of offshore islands, turquoise and azure ocean water and breathtaking sea cliffs above. Next up is the popular Pali Lookout, which Mark Twain called one of the most beautiful views on the planet. Driving north, we'll visit the picturesque Byodo-In Temple, located at the Valley of the Temples. This Hawaii state landmark is home to wild peacocks and a large reflecting pond with koi fish. We'll then head north along the windward coast and drive by Chinaman's Hat Island. In Kahuku, we'll stop at one of the locals’ favorite shrimp trucks, where you can try some delicious locally farmed garlic shrimp, fish or a chicken plate and refreshing drinks. You will be served your choice of nine different sautéed shrimp plates, fresh lemon and steaming rice while your nature guide provides information about Hawaii's aquaculture efforts. (*Chicken Katsu, Cheeseburger and Veggie Chow Mein options are also available!) After lunch, we'll continue driving along Oahu's famed North Shore, home to several big-wave surfing beaches, including Sunset Beach and Waimea Bay. Then we visit the Waimea Valley botanical garden and waterfall. The garden is home to over 5,000 species of tropical flowering plants, ancient archaeological sites, and one of the most scenic waterfalls on the island. The trip and the wealth of knowledge Brandon imparted was so good we really did wish we had booked it at the very start of our trip so we could take advantage of ... all the tips and suggestions he made to maximise our experience whilst visiting the island . Every stop we made added to our fabulous experience of the island . My only wish having now taken the tour was to have the bus stop on the north shore for 15 mins maybe to fully experience the fabulous waves we only saw from the bus window .. Brandon was a wealth of knowledge and kept the bus engaged at all times .

We continue to visit Sandy Beach, known for its notoriously powerful shorebreaks, pounding waves and bodysurfing opportunities. Driving by Makapu'u Lookout you will see the island's most recent lava flows and enjoy incredible panoramic views of offshore islands, turquoise and azure ocean water and breathtaking lava cliffs above. We continue to the world-renowned Pali Lookout that Mark Twain called the most beautiful views on the planet. Driving north we arrive at the Valley of the Temples and visit the colorful Byodo-in temple, a photographer's dream. This Hawaii state landmark is home to wild peacocks and a large reflecting pond with koi fish. Continuing on the relaxing windward coast we also visit scenic Chinaman’s Hat, a picturesque islet located in the warm, tropical waters of Kaneohe Bay. Our local guide will spend the day with you on our semi-private shuttle escorting you and your family to some of Oahu’s Hidden Gems on our Oahu circle island tour.

Itinerary: Waikiki Pickup (7:15 a.m.) Our semi private shuttle will arrive at 7am for pick up in Waikiki, with a local guide to help you prepare for a day of exploring the island of Oahu. The first lookout we visit is an elevated view perched on the eastern side of Waikiki’s famous Diamond Head Volcano. This lookout grants us a great opportunity for pictures of the south eastern coastline of Oahu, with notable sights as far as Hanauma bay and Maui on a clear day. The location is more formally known as Amelia Earhart Lookout, known for where bystanders gathered to watch Earhart make her first solo aviation journey from Hawaii to North America.

Stop At: Halona Blowhole, Kalanian’ole Highway, Oahu, HI 96825

Halona Blowhole Molten lava tubes from volcanic eruptions that occurred from Oahu’s Koko Head crater formed the natural occurrence known as the Halona Blowhole. This lava tube extends into the ocean with a very narrow opening at the top, and when the surf is just right, water pressure builds up within the lava tube and erupts through the narrow opening creating a special Hawaiian Geyser for your viewing pleasure.

We stop at a North Shore Fruit stand where you can gorge on local fruits such as mangos, dragonfruit, pineapple or quench your thirst on a fresh coconut.

The exceptional botanical collections at Waimea Valley feature dozens of distinct gardens representing flora from different parts of the world. Examples include the Ogasawara Islands, Central and South America, Fiji, Guam, and the Mascarene Islands. Stroll through the Hawaiian collection and enjoy an assortment of plants found only in Hawai’i, many of which are rare and endangered. Many were brought here as seed or cutting from the places where they evolved. Waimea Waterfall is also a splendid highlight of the park. Guests can swim in the waterfall if they want. Lifeguards are on duty. Admission included in the cost of the ticket. Swimming is allowed at the waterfall. Please bring a bathing suit and towel if you wish to swim. Lifejackets are provided and lifeguards are on duty at all times. Guest should be advised it is a 1.5 mile roundtrip walk to and from the waterfall. There is a $10 tram but that is not included into the cost of the tour.
