okay so i initially wanted to go to the first show at 9 pm, but it was sold out. then i found out a few days later that there was a 2nd show right after at 11 pm, so i immediately bought the tickets to that one. and i got there and it was also packed.
we went inside, there was not a lot of white people. almost none. this is not a bad thing, though. don't get me wrong here. the cool thing about the crowd was that there were a lot of pretty women (in high heels showing the hell out) that came out to the show because obviously bryson tiller is an r&b singer who talks about love and females that he has fell out of it with, so i was expecting that. however, there were also a lot of dudes there. and they were just as excited to see tiller. i cannot front. one reason can be that, obviously, wherever the girls go the guys will follow, but at the same time they really enjoyed the music. i think it was also because bryson tiller was talking from a perspective that a lot of guys find themselves in or are familiar with, which resonates with them. also, the beats are hard, to be vague about it. they just slap. i'm not going into detail on what that means. if you know you know.
anyway, yeah it was a cool show. bryson tiller was swagged out. he did his thing. he's a new artist but he didn't look nervous, but he did look like he was just a bit inexperienced in taking over a stage. i mean, i'm not mad at him. he did his thing, he played all the joints i wanted him to play, and when "don't" came on, THE WHOLE CROWD SANG ALONG. it was crazy.

Having been to nightclub "concerts" in the past, I already knew the main show wouldn't start until 2AM. That was expected, and I figured the soothing sound of Bryson Tiller's voice would make up for the sobering headache and unbearable pain of my heels. What I did not expect was for Bryson Tiller, the headliner, the main attraction, to exit the building without not only failing to perform a single song, but also without even stepping foot on the stage. The only proof that he even graced us with his presence was the MC's announcements that "Bryson Tiller is in the building" and "Bryson Tiller has left the building". If a tree falls in the woods and no ones there to hear it, does it make a sound? If Bryson Tiller shows up at a nightclub and no one even sees him, was he ever actually there? Hmm, seems suspicious to me. What also seems suspicious is the multiple announcements of celebrities that were supposedly in the building, yet were never seen. The only walk through that anyone really noticed was Wiz Khalifa. Other than that, there was a (very long and drawn out) performance by 2chainz, Bryson's co-headliner, in which many people left in the middle of. This will definitely be my last nightclub concert. The next time I go to a concert, it will be at a venue, so I know the concert is more about the actua artist and less about getting heads in the door to promote a nightclub.
I've seen him live in Amsterdam a few months ago. It was his first ever show there and the venue he performed at (Melkweg) was remotely small - he sold it out in a couple of seconds.
Me and my friend got to the venue early and managed to get to the front row! As soon as he came on stage, everyone went crazy. To sum it up for you, the show was amazing. Though there were no big screens with exciting visuals or anything like that (it was just Bryson rocking the stage), every single moment was fun to watch. You could clearly see how much Bryson enjoys performing and how passionate he is about it. All the notes were spot on, there was no lip-syncing: at some points there was a tape playing in the background, but only so he could sing harmonies over it. He nailed both the rap and the singing verses and sounds just as good live as he does on record. If you ever get the chance to attend one of his shows, you should go for it. It's definitely worth it.
AMAZING! The venue was beautiful and had great acoustics and seating. We sat in the 3rd mezzanine which i was worried about but i didn't feel like i missed anything. I could see everything. Bryson Tiller performed all the songs from TRAPSOUL and some songs from his soundcloud and mixtapes. Basically it was lit..i'm glad i went and it was worth every penny. Im looking forward to new music from this guy and possibly seeing him in concert again.
eh....Bryson sounds great but his stage presence is kind of boring. I would have enjoyed actual instruments instead of technology. I cant really pinpoint a super exciting moment throughout the entire show which is disappointing considering we waited an hour and a half for him to come on stage, only to perform for 45 minutes. overall a decent show, but def wasn't one to write home about.
It was a great concert! It was extremely crowded at the venue and the energy Tiller put out there was awesome. He's got cool stage presence as a solo act and he sounds just like his recorded songs. It was a great night besides the fact that my good friend exposed my feelings for my other friend who was there. He doesn't like me back. But wonderful concert! 10 out of 10 would go again!
Best show I've seen in years. The vibes were simply amazing. He sounds even better live in comparison to his recorded tracks, that's not often that an artist is that great. I was able to meet him after the show and I wasn't VIP. Amazing person, artist, and performer. 10/10 Would go to another Tiller concert any day.
Everything about this concert was amazing. It was everything I had hoped for. He mentioned being a little under the weather, but I didn't notice any difference at all! He had amazing energy, as did the crowd, and the venue was remarkable.. All I can think about is the next time I'll be able to see him! :)
The Bryson Tiller concert was amazing! His voice was beautiful throughout, he made good eye contact with all the audience. The opening act "They." Were brilliant too, they got that the crowd really hyped up and had great music. The whole show was amazing to be honest and if I had the chance I'd go again.
The venue was very packed, too many strobe lights and way too many drumming solos by his drummer, and he did a little bit too much talking for my liking. There was also too much coloured smoked so you couldn't see him. I love his music so I did enjoy all the songs. I think I just don't like the venue.

Bryson Tiller’s Self-Titled Album Will Come To A City Near You Thanks To ‘The Bryson Tiller Tour’
Later this year will mark four years since Bryson Tiller released his third album Anniversary . That project at the time was released to celebrate the fifth anniversary of his breakout debut album Trapsoul . Since Anniversary , things have been moderately timid for the Louisville singer who released a Christmas project in 2021, and his three-part Slum Tiller mixtape series with a few singles sprinkled in between. Tiller is about to get a bit more active in the music world as he recently announced his self-titled album and released a new single “ Calypso .” As if that wasn’t enough good news, the singer will also embark on a tour in support of Bryson Tiller .

By Jon Blistein
Jon Blistein
Bryson Tiller will hit the road this spring for his first U.S. tour in six years.
The 25-city “Back and I’m Better” tour will kick off May 4 at the House of Blues in San Diego, California. Tiller will criss-cross the country over the next month-and-a-half, the tour wraps June 12 at the Showbox at the Market in Seattle. Special guest DJ Nitrane joins Tiller throughout the trek.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale March 24 at 10 a.m. local time. A Live Nation presale will take place on March 22. Full info is available on Tiller’s website .
Tiller’s last full-fledged tour was in 2017, when he was on the road in support of his second full-length album, True to Self . He was unable to properly tour behind his 2020 effort, Anniversary because of the pandemic, though he has played various festivals and one-off concerts over the past few years.

Bryson Tiller proves he's Back and Better with sold-out concert at Eagles Ballroom
If you're going to be bold enough to name your tour, "Back and I'm Better," you'd better deliver, especially if you're in Bryson Tiller's position.
The last time the Louisville-born R&B singer and rapper toured was 2017, a banner year that included a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 for his sophomore album "True to Self" and collaborating with Rihanna and DJ Khaled on hit single "Wild Thoughts." He retreated a bit from the spotlight, only for the pandemic to turn the world upside down in 2020, stunting the commercial impact of his third album, "Anniversary," released that October.
So Tiller's tour, which made its fifth stop Thursday at the Rave's Eagles Ballroom, comes with a bit of pressure to reclaim some lost ground — and given the Milwaukee show's sellout, some heightened expectations. And ultimately, this "Back and I'm Better" tour stop lived up to its name, in more ways than one.
Tiller may be back, but working in his favor, the sleek R&B and hip-hop he specializes in never went away.
If anything, past collaborators and tour mates like The Weeknd and Drake, and emerging stars like SZA, have made it an even more central sound in the pop culture landscape. Few pop, hip/hop or R&B songs dating back to 2015 would sound very contemporary today, but Tiller’s breakout track “Don’t” definitely did Thursday, the crowd erupting like it was the biggest new hit of the year, even though many of the babyfaced fans in the crowd likely didn’t hear it eight years back.
Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.
Newer songs like “Canceled” or “Inhale” may not have received the same giddy reaction, but they gripped the crowd nevertheless, extending Tiller’s formula for success from “Don’t”: sparse, sleek, often trap-seasoned production; candid often cutting lyrics; cool, engrossing vocal delivery.
"If you came to vibe tonight, we came to perform tonight," Tiller purred early in the evening, and the crowd was content to chill in the ambience. But Tiller found ways to heighten the drama, like when the music and video screens suddenly glitched, an intentionally jarring transition into stinging kiss-off "Sorry Not Sorry," his vocals and demeanor fittingly more agitated as visuals inspired by '90s arcade game "Street Fighter II" flashed across the screen.
It was one of several inspired visuals Tiller's team conjured up for the tour, the impact more dazzling and creative than many arena-scale spectacles. Performing alone on the stage, Tiller was flanked on either side by two retro arcade games whose screens flickered from eight-bit animations to high-tech visuals. Tiller frequently performed strutting across a video screen lined with sharp LED lights, a wall of dozens of screens fluctuating from soft enhancement, like the resemblance of a pink sunset centered behind Tiller during "7:00," to dizzying, blinding spins of the backing screens during DJ Khaled collaboration "Body in Motion," the screens looking like they were getting sucked up into a tornado.
Between these effects and Tiller's stage presence, Tiller definitely has become a better performer compared to earlier in his career, when a sleepy set at Lollapalooza in Chicago in 2016 prompted a large exodus. But he stressed to the crowd he's better in another, arguably more important way, talking a couple times Thursday about the insecurities he felt as an introvert new to the music scene. His conquering of those doubts was manifested Thursday through contagious confidence.
But there was still one way Tiller's Eagles Ballroom show fell short: it clocked in at just an hour. In my mind this wasn't as egregious as, say, Future at Fiserv Forum in March, who has a far larger catalog, plus Tiller was comparatively more engaged Thursday with his stage production.
The packed crowd still filed out of the Eagles Ballroom happy. But a longer show is one area where Tiller can and should do better.
Three takeaways from Bryson Tiller's Milwaukee concert
- Beyond the staging, Tiller's get-up had some nice retro touches, including a Nintendo 64 baseball hat, a Nintendo Power Glove, and light-up sneakers inspired by the self-lacing shoes from "Back To The Future Part II." That sci-fi film series inspired some other visuals Thursday, including newspaper headlines from the movies that appeared briefly on the screens.
- Beyond occasionally dipping into the pit to get close to the crowd and shouting out fans who had lined up for hours for the show, Tiller singled out one woman in the front toward the end of his DJ Khaled collaboration "Body in Motion," repeating Khaled's compliments in the track ("You're incredible, you're beautiful, you're phenomenal, you're amazing, most importantly you're a queen") and directing them to her.
- With Tiller only on stage for an hour, his opener DJ Nitrate was ultimately on stage longer than anyone else that night, but the crowd never tired of his 65-minute set, which leaned heavy on R&B hits like Beyonce's "Drunk in Love" and a medley of SZA songs, including "Kill Bill" and "Nobody," most of them prompting widespread belting from the teens and twentysomething women who dominated the crowd. There was also a sudden push to the stage, phones out by many, when Tiller made a cameo.

BRYSON TILLER
As heartfelt as he is inextricably modern, Bryson Tiller has helped define a generation of atmospheric, trap-inflected R&B. Since releasing his 2015 debut album, T R A P S O U L, the Louisville native has merged delicately powerful melodies with sleek, ambient soundscapes for earnest stories of lust, fractured love, and his own fairy tale come-up, theme music for people with emotions to unfurl and dreams to pursue. Laced with ruminations on romance, as well as spurts of chest-thumping machismo, his maiden LP proved his penchant for hitmaking, as songs like “Don’t” and “Exchange” were both certified 7x platinum by the RIAA. T R A P S O U L itself has been certified 3x platinum. Tiller continued building on his success with 2017’s True to Self, a reflective sophomore LP that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart before eventually being certified gold. That same year, he popped out for a feature on DJ Khaled’s Rihanna-assisted single, “Wild Thoughts,” a lusty, infectious single that’s since been certified 6x platinum. The following year, he joined H.E.R. on “Could’ve Been,” a contemplative single that has been certified 2x platinum. In 2020, he reaffirmed his status as an R&B tastemaker with A N N I V E R S A R Y, an LP released on the fifth anniversary of his first album. Featuring production from Noah “40” Shebib, a guest spot from Drake (“Outta Time”), as well as the trapsoul stylings that made him a star, the album is both a tribute to fans and a reminder of Tiller’s status as a genre-shaping force in the world of music. Around the same time, he pulled up on “Luv Is Dro,” a nostalgic single from his fellow Kentucky native Jack Harlow. The video for the song has earned over 8.2 million YouTube views since its release. Pairing honesty with musical invention, Tiller has secured more than 12 billion streams, 3.1 billion worldwide video views, multiple BET Awards, Grammy nominations, and a legacy as one of the most successful R&B artists Kentucky’s ever produced.

About Bryson Tiller:
Bryson Tiller became one of the key breakout stars in 2010s contemporary R&B with the single “Don’t” and a descriptively titled parent album, T R A P S O U L (2015), a moody swaggering set of slow jams that neologized a subgenre the singer/rapper took to the mainstream with multi-platinum certifications and Grammy nominations. True to Self (2017) and A N N I V E R S A R Y (2019), his subsequent studio albums, have either topped the Billboard 200 or reached the chart’s Top Ten. Tiller’s additional hits as a featured artist and duet partner are highlighted by DJ Khalid’s “Wild Thoughts” and H.E.R.’s “Could’ve Been.”
Tiller started singing and rapping as a high schooler in his native Louisville, Kentucky, and in his late teens released a mixtape, Killer Instinct, Vol. 1. He was just into his twenties when SoundCloud uploads such as “Don’t,” “Break Bread,” and “Let ‘Em Know” brought him greater recognition. Timbaland reached out to collaborate and convinced Tiller to quit his job to do so. Drake expressed interest in signing Tiller to his OVO Sound label, but after some deliberation, Tiller accepted an offer from RCA, and made his major-label debut in May 2015 with the commercial release of “Don’t.” The sparse ballad peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 (and eventually went multi-platinum). The full-length T R A P S O U L followed a few months later and reached number eight on the Billboard 200. Within six months, the album was certified platinum, supported by additional multi-platinum hits “Exchange” and “Sorry Not Sorry,” the latter of which was co-produced by Timbaland. “Exchange,” a number 26 pop hit, was nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best R&B Song.
Featured appearances and non-album singles as a headliner led to the May 2017 release of Tiller’s second album, True to Self. Another set dominated by thumping slow jams, it went straight to number one. Around the same time, Tiller was featured beside Rihanna on DJ Khaled’s number two hit “Wild Thoughts.” Additional featured appearances and other stray tracks preceded Tiller’s third album. Most notable were duets with Jazmine Sullivan and H.E.R., respectively “Insecure” (for the soundtrack of the like-titled series) and the Grammy-nominated “Could’ve Been.” Issued in October 2020, A N N I V E R S A R Y landed at number five and contained “Outta Time,” featuring guest vocals by Drake and production from 40, Nineteen85, and Vinylz. A year later, coinciding with both Halloween and the tenth anniversary of his first mixtape, Tiller offered his second tape, Killer Instinct 2: The Nightmare Before. Another holiday-themed recording, A Different Christmas, was out the next month with Justin Bieber, Pentatonix, and Kiana Ledé on the guest list. The EP included mostly original songs and an update of “Winter Wonderland.” In 2022, Tiller guested on Diddy’s “Gotta Move On” and released the solo single “Outside.”
