Live from Paris: Taylor Swift adds 'Tortured Poets' songs to Eras Tour in France

PARIS, France — The Chairman jump-started her tour after a two-month hiatus, and anticipation was high over whether Taylor Swift would incorporate her 11th era album into the Eras Tour set at La Défense Arena on Thursday.

She did and then some.

Swift extended the set list by one track to land at 46 songs. But many changes were made along the way. She added a new era for "The Tortured Poets Department," cut a handful of songs and rearranged most of the eras including combining the sets for "Folklore" and "Evermore."

She also debuted a number of new outfits along the way.

Delivering all the updates were Bryan West, the USA TODAY Network's full-time Taylor Swift reporter, from inside La Défense Arena in Paris, with Swiftie and trending reporter Anthony Robledo assisting from his desk.

We hereby present the minutes from the first Eras Tour meeting in Paris, France.

More: Taylor Swift unveils new Eras Tour set list in Paris

'Midnights' set follows secret songs

Swift stuck to her original set list for the "Midnights" era by singing "Lavender Haze," "Anti-Hero" and "Midnight Rain." She ended the night with a triumphant rendition of "Karma" as usual.

'loml' is second secret song

Fans got one more taste of "The Tortured Poets Department" when Swift played the heartbreaking song "loml" on the piano during her secret set.

'Paris' is a secret song, of course

Swift started her secret set with "Paris," a bonus song from her "Midnights" album.

'Tortured Poets' set list

Swift played these songs from her newest album:

  • "But Daddy I Love Him"
  • "So High School"
  • "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me"
  • "Fortnight"
  • "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived"
  • "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart"

New 'Tortured Poets' set is here

Toward the end of her show, Swift officially launched the long-awaited “The Tortured Poets Department” section of the tour after the 1989 era.

Swift performed the track “But Daddy I Love Him” off the April 19 album for her ecstatic fans while wearing a new beige dress with cursive letters.

A road spiraled down the catwalk in an animation to initiate the era. The background animation showed a deserted road while large cages animated and fell on the road.

“Oh my god you should see your faces,” she sang.

She quickly segued into a brief moment of “So High School,” the beloved track speculated to be about her romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. She quickly performed the powerhouse anthem “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me.”

Swift switched to “Down Bad” before seamlessly transitioning into the lead single “Fortnight.” Stage production recreated an asylum that resembled the music video for the song with Post Malone, recorded harmony played concluding the song.

Dancers entered the stage in a marching band style format playing drums as she performed the wrath-fueled song “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.” Jan Ravnik and Kameron Saunders then revived Swift in a jazzy skit to set up “I Can Do With A Broken Heart,” where she debuted another new outfit.

“The End” text displayed wrapping up the era that’s likely here to stay. Other beloved tracks like “Guilty As Sin” and “Florida!” did not make the cut.

New '1989' outfit

Swift never goes out of Style. During her “1989” set, she debuted a new, sequined outfit of blue and pink. Her sparkly shoes matched with a different colored heel on each. For the bridge of “Blank Space,” the crowd started chanting in Sydney, Australia, “Syd-ney” as a nod to the 1989 World Tour concert movie where Swift would chant the name of the city she was in after hitting a pole with a club two times. Singapore followed the chant and Taylor Nation tweeted they want every city to incorporate the fan-fueled chant. In Paris, thousands chanted “Par-ee,” the French way to say the capital city.

Swift made no cuts to the "1989" set.

Four songs cut from 'Folklore' and 'Evermore'

The new set list cut four tracks from the "Folklore" and "Evermore" eras:

  • "'Tis the Damn Season"
  • "Tolerate It"
  • "The Last Great American Dynasty"

The combined set included eight songs altogether and wrapped up with "Willow."

'Folkmore' set debuts

Swift revealed she merged the 2020 pandemic albums “Folklore” and “Evermore” into one section. She told fans she wrote “Folklore” to represent spring and summer with “Evermore” representing fall and winter in what she always considered sister albums.

“On the Eras Tour we have now reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter,” she said. “You can call it whatever you want as long as you promise to sing ‘Champagne Problems’ with me.”

'Folklore' set: 'Cardigan' makes the cut

Many fans had speculated "Cardigan" would be cut from the set list. But Swift actually moved it to the top of the "Folklore" set.

Up next: 'Reputation'

Swift kicked off her fifth set with "Ready for It?"

Another surprise: 'Speak Now' era comes fourth

Swift updated her "Speak Now" set with an intro dance featuring Raphael Thomas and eight other dancers wearing flowy purple dresses. She then sang "Enchanted."

Fan favorite track "Long Live" was cut from the set list.

Order of eras changed

After a fairly routine "Fearless" set, Swift altered her concert by including the “Red” era third instead of the expected “Evermore” set. Previously, "Red" came fifth.

With a new shirt that read “This Is Not Taylor’s Version,” the singer performed "22" and showed her audience that they needed to leave any expectations at home.

The relocated "Red" set included the same four songs: "22," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "All Too Well (10-Minute Version)."

Beflore playing “All Too Well (10 Minute Version),” Swift talked about bringing all of her favorite memories to France. She did her 2019 “Lover” live show here but hadn’t brought a tour to the country since the Speak Now World Tour 13 years ago.“I cannot thank you enough. I’m so moved," she said.

Follow along with set list changes here .

First set list change

Swift cut "The Archer" from her "Lover" set before beginning her "Fearless" set in a silver and black minidress as opposed to her classic gold one. A graphic showed her "Lover" house with a new addition in the attic for "The Tortured Poets Department." Her "Fearless" set remained the same with "Fearless," "You Belong With Me" and "Love Story."

'Je m'appelle Taylor'

In her monologue before playing the song "Lover," Swift said the night would span 18 years of music. Previously, the concert covered 16 years. Get ready for a "The Tortured Poets Department" addition some time tonight.

She confirmed the tour would still go era by era, and also spoke about how Paramore is a band she idolized since she was a teenager. She ended with some French: "Je m'appelle Taylor."

First new outfit

Swift debuted a new, orange bodysuit and jacket for the "Lover" set.

Snippet of 'Tortured Poets' in intro

A snippet of the song "The Tortured Poets Department" was included in the intro music Swift kicks the concert off with. Is she foreshadowing other changes ahead? It seems likely.

Taylor Swift takes the stage

Swift took the stage about 8 p.m. in Paris (2 p.m. ET) to relaunch her Eras Tour in Europe. She kicked it off with a countdown clock and the Lesley Gore song "You Don't Own Me" as usual. Then she began her "Lover" set with "Miss Americana."

Paramore covers Blondie, Talking Heads in Paris set list

At the Paris show Thursday, Paramore energized fans with eight tracks including their cover off the upcoming “Stop Making Sense” tribute album out May 17 featuring artists like Miley Cyrus and Lorde.

Debuting a blond mullet, lead singer Hayley Williams encouraged fans to dance without fear of judgment ahead of Swift’s performance.

“Enjoy your time with Miss Taylor, we will see you next time,” Williams said.

Paramore's set list included:

  • "Hard Times"
  • "Burning Down the House" (Talking Heads cover)
  • "Caught in the Middle"
  • “Brick by Boring Brick”
  • “The Only Exception”
  • “That’s What You Get”
  • “Ain't It Fun”
  • “This Is Why”

Paramore begins their set

At about 6:45 p.m. in Paris (12:45 p.m. ET), Paramore began their set, officially restarting the second year of the historic Eras Tour. Lead singer Hayley Williams sported a new, blond mullet hairdo.

Paramore opens European leg of Eras Tour

The American rock band is joining Swift on her European leg of 51 shows. Paramore also opened the show for two nights in Glendale, Arizona, in 2023. Their setlist then included nine songs:

  • "This Is Why"
  • "That’s What You Get"
  • "The Only Exception"
  • "Still Into You"
  • "Rose-Colored Boy"
  • "Misery Business"
  • "Ain’t It Fun"

Where to watch the Eras Tour livestreams

The Eras Tour is one of the first tours that has been followed, globally, by thousands of fans on digital platforms. Fans dedicate part of their concert experience to livestreaming as Swift performs. Taylor Swift brings new setlist, fresh looks and famous friends to her crowds: The best photos from the 'Eras Tour' kickoff in Paris

All the world’s a stage for Taylor Swift.

The pop star kicked off the European leg of her “Eras Tour” in Paris with four back-to-back shows from May 9 to May 12 at Paris’s La Défense Arena. The performances were her first since the release of her latest album , The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19.

Swifties have become well-versed in all things “Eras” since the “Fortnight” singer began what’s now the highest-grossing concert tour of all time back in March 2023. Swift’s fans can name each track of her 40-song-plus setlist, predict her surprise songs and recognize even the subtlest tweaks to her wardrobe.

But the release of Tortured Poets, just ahead of the European leg of her tour, stirred suspicion among fans as to how the songstress planned on integrating her newest era into her meticulously planned out live shows.

From new looks to new additions to the setlist, Swift did not disappoint.

‘Female Rage The Musical!’

Swift took to social media to celebrate the new Tortured Poets section of the “Eras Tour” on May 12. Referring to the era as “Female Rage The Musical!” — a term she’s since filed a trademark for — Swift thanked her team for helping bring the surprise together.

“To my crew, fellow performers, and band who worked tirelessly in their break to concoct this surprise for you — but mostly for the fans in Paris. I’m so thankful that it was you we got to show this to for the first time because you gave us so much excitement, passion and love,” she wrote in her posts on X and Instagram. “I’m SO fired up to play this for every crowd on the tour.”

With a new era come new costumes.

On May 9, Swift debuted ensembles for the Tortured Poets chapter of the show, which included a custom Vivienne Westwood gown with white lace-up ankle boots by Christian Louboutin . The corseted bodice and high-low skirt was covered in cursive writing that reads “I love you, it’s ruining my life,” a line from “Fortnight,” the album’s debut single featuring Post Malone.

Swift’s other eras received a fashion facelift too. With the exception of her Reputation era, the pop star debuted new variations of her previous tour costumes.

New outfits included an orange-hued Versace bodysuit , ethereal Alberta Ferretti gowns (in both yellow and red) and sparkly Roberto Cavalli separates .

Folklore/Evermore

The tortured poets department, famous faces in the crowd.

Swift’s famous friends are known to drop in to catch her shows, and fans were in good company on the fourth night of the “Eras Tour” in Paris.

Gigi Hadid and boyfriend Bradley Cooper were spotted dancing the night away alongside Swift’s NFL superstar boyfriend Travis Kelce.

The fourth Paris show marked Swift’s 87th “Eras Tour” performance, which also happens to be Kelce’s jersey number. Fans speculate that Swift honored her “So High School” beau by wearing Kansas City Chiefs colors — red and gold — for the 1989 section of her performance.

What’s next for Swift?

Swift is heading to Sweden for three performances at Stockholm’s Friends Arena from May 17 to May 19.

For fans who didn’t score tickets, here’s the setlist to sing along to at home.

Every Taylor Swift Album In Release Order (And Which Are Taylor's Versions)

Taylor swift’s the eras tour return ironically just reversed a great change she made in disney+’s movie, taylor swift: the eras tour's 4 hour version must surely be coming now, right.

  • Taylor Swift removed six songs from the Eras Tour setlist to make room for the new The Tortured Poets Department set, five of which were featured in the extended cut of her concert movie, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version), on Disney+.
  • The only song Swift cut from the setlist that was never featured in The Eras Tour movie is "'tis the damn season" from Evermore.
  • Two of the songs now cut from the setlist, "The Archer" and "Long Live," were initially excluded from the theatrical release of The Eras Tour movie. "Long Live" also wasn't added to the setlist until three months into the tour.

Taylor Swift has removed six songs from her Eras Tour concert setlist, five of which were featured in The Eras Tour movie on Disney+. After a two-month hiatus, Taylor Swift resumed The Eras Tour in Paris, France, on May 9, 2024. During her hiatus, Swift released an extended cut of The Eras Tour concert movie on Disney+ which features almost the whole concert and a bonus section with the four remaining surprise songs from the filmed shows' acoustic sets. Swift also dropped her new album, The Tortured Poets Department , on April 19, which turned out to be a double album.

Now that she's back on the road and has entered a new era, Swift added seven songs from The Tortured Poets Department to the Eras Tour setlist . to her show. To accommodate this, Swift had to make some changes to the existing Eras Tour setlist. Along with rearranging the order of the existing eras and combining the Folklore and Evermore sets, Swift removed six songs from four different eras on the setlist to make room in the three-and-a-half hour concert for the new The Tortured Poets Department songs .

The only song from the permanent setlist that was absent in all three versions of The Eras Tour movie is "'tis the damn season" from Evermore, which Swift has now removed from the setlist.

Because they were part of the permanent setlist, all but one of these now-cut songs were featured in Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) , the extended cut of the concert movie on Disney+. A couple of them were initially excluded from the concert movie's theatrical release to shorten the runtime, but when The Eras Tour movie was released on Disney+, almost all of the previously cut setlist songs were included in the streaming version.

The only song from the permanent Eras Tour setlist that was absent in all three versions of The Eras Tour movie is "'tis the damn season" from Evermore , which Swift has now removed from the setlist. "'Tis the damn season" is missing from The Eras Tour movie because Swift swapped it for "no body, no crime," her duet with opening act HAIM, at the three L.A. shows that were filmed for The Eras Tour movie . However, "no body, no crime" was never included in The Eras Tour movie either, leaving the Evermore set one song short in the concert movie.

“Seven (Interlude),” a pre-recorded, spoken word rendition of Swift’s song “seven” that served as the intro for the Folklore era at the live shows, has also been cut from the Eras Tour show. Like “'tis the damn season,” this interlude was part of the permanent setlist but was not featured in The Eras Tour movie either.

Every Taylor Swift Album, Ranked From Worst To Best

Taylor Swift has released 11 albums (and re-recorded four) over the course of her 18-year career, some of which are better than others.

5 The Archer

The lover era.

The first song that Swift cut from the permanent Eras Tout setlist is "The Archer," which used to close out the Lover set. Despite rearranging some of the eras, Lover remains the opening era of the show, but "The Archer" no longer serves as the sixth and final song. Instead, the Lover era is now only five songs long and closes with the album's title track.

When the movie hit streaming in March 2024, "The Archer" and the other missing songs in theaters (except "no body, no crime") were finally included in their respective eras in The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) on Disney+.

"The Archer" is one of the least surprising casualties of the post- TTPD setlist given that it was also one of the casualties of The Eras Tour movie's theatrical release. Exactly three months after the theatrical premiere on October 13, 2023, The Eras Tour movie was made available to rent on demand, featuring "The Archer" and two other previously cut songs as bonus features. When the movie hit streaming in March 2024, "The Archer" and the other missing songs in theaters (except "no body, no crime") were finally included in their respective eras in T he Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) on Disney+ .

"The Archer" is one of Taylor Swift's famous track 5 songs , two of which have now been removed from the Eras Tour setlist. Ever since her debut album in 2006, Swift has always made the fifth track on all her albums a deeply vulnerable, soul-baring song like "The Archer," an introspective examination of her deepest anxieties and insecurities. It's a well-known album tradition that Swift nearly continued with the Eras Tour itself by placing "The Archer" just one away from the fifth spot on the full concert setlist.

Taylor Swift's New Album Continues A Sad 18-Year Trend That The Eras Tour Setlist Avoided

Taylor Swift's new album, The Tortured Poets Department, continues a trend dating back to her debut album that the Eras Tour setlist narrowly avoided.

4 Tolerate It

The evermore era.

Evermore used to be the third era on the Eras Tour setlist, but because Swift combined the 2020 "sister album" eras, all the surviving Evermore songs now appear in the Folklore section before 1989 . Swift also rearranged the song order and placed "willow" at the end instead of "tolerate it," which did not survive. It's such a shame Swift got rid of "tolerate it" because her live performance of this harrowing account of unrequited love was so moving.

Swift would then be joined by Raphael Thomas, one of her backup dancers on the Eras Tour, who played the role of the narrator's neglectful lover.

On the Eras Tour, Swift brought the meaning behind the lyrics of "tolerate it" to life onstage during the Evermore era. Inspired by Daphne du Maurier's 1938 novel Rebecca, about a woman whose older, wealthy husband is haunted by his ex-wife's ghost, "tolerate it" is written from the perspective of someone whose partner completely undervalues them and merely "tolerates" their love no matter how hard they try to impress them. The theatrical number opened with Swift acting out the lyric " lay the table with the fancy sh*t " by carefully setting the long dining table in the middle of the stage.

Swift would then be joined by Raphael Thomas, one of her backup dancers on the Eras Tour, who played the role of the narrator's neglectful lover. Thomas sat across from Swift and would either look annoyed or ignore her completely as she grew more frustrated while singing. During the explosive bridge in which the narrator's grievances all boil over, Swift would climb onto the table and angrily knock all the " fancy sh*t " off to try and get his attention.

"Tolerate it" is the other "track 5" song that Swift has now removed from the Eras Tour setlist, along with "The Archer."

9 Taylor Swift Songs That Are Even Better In The Eras Tour Movie Than On The Album

Some of Taylor Swift's songs are even better as live performances in The Eras Tour movie than as studio recordings on their respective albums.

3 Long Live

The speak now era.

Arguably the most gutting song to lose from the setlist is "Long Live," partially because of the tumultuous journey the Speak Now song has been on ever since the Eras Tour began. Originally, "Long Live" wasn't even included in the setlist and the Speak Now era only consisted of "Enchanted." It wasn't until after she released Speak Now (Taylor's Version) on July 7, 2023, that Swift officially added "Long Live" to the permanent setlist . Since then, she's performed it at every show on the Eras Tour, including the three filmed shows in L.A. the following month.

The Taylor Swift album release order was complicated by the onset of her Taylor's Version series, but it represents the artist reclaiming her legacy.

Despite the spectacle of adding it to the setlist three months into the tour, Swift snubbed "Long Live" again when The Eras Tour movie premiered in theaters. Like "The Archer," "Long Live" was one of the songs Swift cut from The Eras Tour movie that was later restored on VOD and streaming. Going through all that just to lose "Long Live" again would still be frustrating if it was any other great song, but it's especially devastating because of what this song represents.

As a celebration of both her success and the people who contributed to achieving it, "Long Live" encompasses so much of what the Eras Tour is all about.

Swift wrote "Long Live" to express gratitude to her longtime bandmates and fans , so it's always been a special song for the Swifties. This makes Swift's neglectful treatment of "Long Live" especially baffling. As a celebration of both her success and the people who contributed to achieving it, "Long Live" encompasses so much of what the Eras Tour is all about. Plus, the Speak Now era is already the shortest set in the show; continuously leaving "Enchanted" to represent Speak Now all by itself just makes the setlist feel unbalanced.

One of Taylor Swift's recent adjustments to the Eras Tour setlist reversed a long overdue change she'd finally made to the Eras Tour movie on Disney+.

The Folklore Era

Previously tied with Midnights as the longest era on the setlist, the Folklore era lost two songs to the TTPD invasion, the first of which was "the 1." At the live shows on the Eras Tour, Swift opened the Folklore era with "the 1" after the spoken word "Seven (Interlude)," laying on the mossy roof of the famous F olklore cabin as she reflected on the "one" who got away and wondered what could've been " if one thing had been different ." Since "Seven (Interlude)" was not featured in The Eras Tour movie, "the 1" set the tone for the Folklore era.

When Swift embarked on the Eras Tour on March 17, 2023, she initially opened the Folklore era with "invisible string" instead of "the 1."

Swift's removal of "the 1" doesn't come as much of a surprise, though, considering it wasn't always meant to be part of the Eras Tour setlist. When Swift embarked on the Eras Tour on March 17, 2023, she initially opened the Folklore era with "invisible string" instead of "the 1." However, after just four shows of performing this fate-centered love song as the Folklore opener, Swift replaced it with the more bargain-stage-oriented "the 1." Now that she's merged the Folklore and Evermore eras and switched up the song order, Swift opens the combined "sister album" set with "cardigan" instead.

After making this change to the setlist, the only time Swift performed "invisible string" instead of "the 1" on the Eras Tour was at her second Nashville show on May 6, 2023, in honor of the city dedicating a bench to her at Centennial Park (which is mentioned in the song).

As of her Paris show, Taylor Swift officially added The Tortured Poets Department to her Eras Tour setlist, making fans wonder about a new movie cut.

1 The Last Great American Dynasty

The second Folklore song and last song from The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) on Disney+ that Swift removed from the Eras Tour setlist is "the last great american dynasty." Swift performed "TLGAD" as the third song in the era, between two of the three Folklore love triangle songs, "betty" and "august." Like "tolerate it," Swift brought the story of "the last great american dynasty" to life onstage during the F olklore era , only this time, it was a true story.

Swift wrote "the last great american dynasty" about an eccentric socialite named Rebekah Harkness who became the widow of an extremely wealthy oil heir named Bill Harkness. In the song, Swift paints a picture of the notorious Rebekah from the perspective of snobbish gossips. She goes from describing the couple's lavish parties at their Rhode Island mansion, to Rebekah's reputation as the " maddest " and " most shameless " woman in town who supposedly caused Bill's fatal heart attack (" she had a marvelous time ruining everything "), to her outlandish activities at their "Holiday House" after his death.

At the end of the bridge, Swift would take Reid-as-Rebekah's place onstage as she revealed that she actually bought the Harknesses' Holiday House in real life long after Rebekah was gone, drawing parallels between the socialite's public image and her own as a high-profile celebrity.

While Swift performed "the last great american dynasty" on the Eras Tour, her dancers would act out the story onstage , with dancer Natalie Reid playing Rebekah. At the end of the bridge, Swift would take Reid-as-Rebekah's place onstage as she revealed that she actually bought the Harknesses' Holiday House in real life long after Rebekah was gone, drawing parallels between the socialite's public image and her own as a high-profile celebrity. Now that it's been taken off the Eras Tour setlist, Taylor Swift 's performance of "the last great american dynasty" has thankfully been immortalized in The Eras Tour movie.

For Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Tonight Was Not the Night: Concert Review

Neil Young

Maybe it was the chilly temperatures, steady breeze and light spatterings of rain, which take a toll when a person is standing outdoors on an elevated platform — like the stage of a concert venue — for two hours. Or maybe it was just an off night. But the feverishly passionate reviews for the first dates of Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s “ Love Earth” tour — their first in a decade — bore little resemblance to the band that plodded through its set Wednesday evening in the second of a two-night stand New York’s Forest Hills Stadium. And the fact that they were plodding through a stunning setlist of songs from the peak of Young’s illustrious career only made it worse.

Popular on Variety

But a band, especially a live rock band, is only as good as its rhythm section, and on Wednesday night, the once-mighty Crazy Horse began wandering off the track as soon as they’d started. Most of the songs were played significantly slower than their recorded versions, sometimes approaching a sludgey, almost doom-metal tempo. Drummer Ralph Molina and bassist Billy Talbot, both 80, could barely keep things moving, missing beats and losing time. Rhythm guitarist Micah Nelson — country legend Willie’s 33-year-old son, who is new to this band but has been playing with Young for a decade — did his best to hold it together, but Young was cutting songs off at the earliest opportunity, where in the past he’d often just be getting started.

To be fair, the last time I saw Neil and Crazy Horse was in 1996 — when they blew the roof off of Madison Square Garden with an electrifying set filled with so many great songs that you just couldn’t believe it — and a spot listen to YouTube recordings of other concerts on this tour, including the previous night’s , finds the band playing better, sometimes much better. But this show had a killer setlist too — and apparently the tour’s debut of “Mansion on the Hill” — and hearing those timeless songs played by what at times sounded like your uncle’s covers band only made things worse. Young, who usually includes at least some more-recent material in his sets, kept it classic — just one song from the ‘90s, nothing newer — which suggests that maybe he knows this is probably Crazy Horse’s last ride.

It’s a fact of biology to say that elderly rock and roll is always going to be like an old-timers’ baseball game: No matter how much energy they display onstage, nearly all vocalists past a certain age must sing in lower registers. Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Elton John and many others in the 70-and-above group are able to deliver stadium-sized sets thanks to low-key but essential support from auxiliary players and singers — Springsteen’s current tour band totals 18 musicians. Drummers, obviously, have it hardest of all: The Stones’ late, great Charlie Watts must have been a freak of nature to power through two-hour sets into his late 70s; most older bands with their classic-era drummers are supported on tour with percussionists. And let’s be honest, whether we realize it or not, prerecorded backing tracks have become so ubiquitous at major concerts that our ears may be unaccustomed to not hearing them.

Neil Young has never done any of that and never will — he even made a crack about it early in the show, while waiting for his roadie to tune his trusty, battered Gibson Les Paul. “We have to make sure all the backing tracks are in synch,” he joked.

None of this is to say that older humans can’t be superhuman musicians or shouldn’t be touring and performing. But this band has two months’ worth of dates ahead of it, and on Wednesday night, it was hard not to wish that Neil had put the spurs on.

Taylor Swift changed The Eras Tour set list to include 'The Tortured Poets Department.' Here are all 46 songs she performs now.

  • Taylor Swift's blockbuster Eras Tour resumed Thursday in Nanterre, France.
  • Swift altered the set list to include songs from her new album, "The Tortured Poets Department."
  • The current Eras Tour set list, which includes 46 various hits and deep cuts, is cataloged below.

Insider Today

Taylor Swift is back on the road for her record-breaking , economy-altering Eras Tour.

The stadium series kicked off last year in Glendale, Arizona, and quickly became a sensation . After making stops across the US, Mexico, South America , Japan, Australia, and Singapore , Swift will continue to perform throughout 2024 in Europe , plus a second North American leg scheduled for later this year.

On Thursday, Swift resumed The Eras Tour in France after a multi-week hiatus.

During that break, Swift released her 11th studio album, " The Tortured Poets Department " — so she adjusted the original 44-song set list to include brand new tracks, though other fan favorites (including " The Archer ," " The 1 ," and " Tolerate It ") were cut for time.

The updated show stretches for over three hours and includes 46 songs. The complete set list is cataloged below, in order of Swift's performance.

"Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince"

The Eras Tour is Swift's first live tour since 2018. The show opener includes the lyric, "It's been a long time coming, but / It's you and me, that's my whole world."

"Cruel Summer"

loki tour setlist

"Cruel Summer" was released as the second track on 2019's "Lover" and never promoted as a single.

However, once The Eras Tour was underway, the song experienced a delayed surge in popularity and became Swift's milestone 10th chart-topper on the Billboard Hot 100 .

"The Man"

"The Man" was promoted as the fourth single from "Lover," alongside an Easter egg-filled music video .

"You Need to Calm Down"

"Lover"

loki tour setlist

"Lover" is the solo-written title track from Swift's seventh studio album. Before she performs the song during The Eras Tour, she tells fans that she hopes it'll hold a special meaning for each individual who hears it.

"These are songs that I have written about my life or things I felt at one point in time," she says in the concert movie. "But after tonight, when you hear these songs out and about in the world, my dream is that you're gonna think about tonight, and the memories we made here together."

"Fearless"

loki tour setlist

"Fearless" is the title track for Swift's 2008 sophomore album, which is still known as the most-awarded country album of all time .

"You Belong With Me"

The third single from "Red," coproduced by Max Martin and Shellback, peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100.

"All Too Well (10 Minute Version)"

The extended version of "All Too Well" was released as the final track on " Red (Taylor's Version) " after years of fan anticipation.

It debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100, becoming the longest song ever to hold the chart's top position.

"Enchanted"

loki tour setlist

"Enchanted" is the only song from Swift's third album, "Speak Now," that she currently performs during The Eras Tour.

For a brief time, following the release of " Speak Now (Taylor's Version) ," Swift added the fan-favorite deep cut "Long Live" to the set list. It has since been removed.

"…Ready for It?"

"…Ready for It?" was originally teased during ABC's "Saturday Night Football" broadcast in 2017. It was later used by ESPN in college football commercials.

"Delicate"

loki tour setlist

Swift's performance of "Delicate" during The Eras Tour features a stage animation that cracks beneath her feet .

"Don't Blame Me"

loki tour setlist

"Don't Blame Me" is the sole non-single that Swift performs during the tour's "Reputation" segment. The fan-favorite track is often cited as a highlight of the show .

"Look What You Made Me Do"

loki tour setlist

"Look What You Made Me Do," which interpolates Right Said Fred's '90s hit "I'm Too Sexy," was released as the lead single from "Reputation" and debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100.

"Cardigan"

loki tour setlist

The No. 1 single "Cardigan" was released alongside Swift's beloved album " Folklore ." The song references Peter Pan and introduces the album's "teenage love triangle."

"Betty"

loki tour setlist

"Betty" is told from the perspective of a high schooler named James , who broke the heart of the titular heroine.

"Champagne Problems"

loki tour setlist

The heart-wrenching piano ballad "Champagne Problems" often inspires a minutes-long standing ovation during The Eras Tour.

"August"

loki tour setlist

Swift's debut performance of "August" took place at the 2021 Grammy Awards. Later that night, she won album of the year for "Folklore," her record-tying third trophy in that category.

"Illicit Affairs"

loki tour setlist

"Illicit Affairs" is widely interpreted as a song about marital infidelity, though its descriptions of forbidden love and "clandestine meetings" adopt new meanings through a queer lens .

"My Tears Ricochet"

loki tour setlist

In Swift's own words , "My Tears Ricochet" was inspired by the image of an "embittered tormentor showing up at the funeral of his fallen object of obsession."

"Marjorie"

loki tour setlist

"Marjorie" is named after Swift's late grandmother, Marjorie Finlay , an opera singer who died in 2003. Finlay is credited with background vocals in the song.

"Willow"

loki tour setlist

"Willow" was promoted as the lead single from " Evermore ." Like "Cardigan," it was released simultaneously with its parent album and debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100.

"Style"

loki tour setlist

Swift briefly dated Harry Styles before releasing her fifth studio album, "1989."

When Rolling Stone asked about the inspiration behind the album's third track, "Style," she replied, "We should have just called it 'I'm Not Even Sorry.'"

"Blank Space"

loki tour setlist

"Blank Space" is a widely celebrated satire about Swift's reputation as a "serial dater."

"'She only writes songs to get emotional revenge on guys. She's a man-hater. Don't let her near your boyfriend,'" Swift explained at the time. "It was just kind of excessive and, you know, at first it was hurtful and then I kind of found a little comedy in it."

The song dethroned "Shake It Off" at No. 1 on the Hot 100, making Swift the first and only woman in history to replace herself in the chart's top spot. (She has since done it twice.)

"Shake It Off"

loki tour setlist

"Shake It Off" was released as the lead single from "1989," Swift's official pivot from country to pop music .

The song became her first to debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and remained there for four weeks. It also inspired a sketch on "Saturday Night Live"  about adults realizing they love Swift's music.

"Wildest Dreams"

loki tour setlist

"Wildest Dreams" was released as the first rerecorded song from "1989 (Taylor's Version)."

"Bad Blood"

loki tour setlist

"Bad Blood" was famously inspired by Swift's then-feud with Katy Perry , whom Swift accused of trying to "sabotage" her "Red" tour. (The two pop stars have long since buried the hatchet .)

The remix includes a feature from Kendrick Lamar , who returned to rerecord his verse for "1989 (Taylor's Version)."

"But Daddy I Love Him"

loki tour setlist

Following the release of her massive double album , "The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology," Swift added seven brand-new songs to The Eras Tour setlist.

The first is "But Daddy I Love Him," a sharp rebuke of Swift's own fans , many of whom criticized her dating life last year.

"So High School"

loki tour setlist

"So High School" is widely presumed to be about Swift's current boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce . The song's lyrics seem to reference their different professions: "You know how to ball, I know Aristotle."

"Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?"

loki tour setlist

Swift is the only songwriter credited for "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?"

The song title is likely inspired by "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" — a celebrated play written by Edward Albee that tackles themes of truth versus illusion, fate versus choice, and feeling trapped.

"Down Bad"

loki tour setlist

"Down Bad" is a heartsick serenade that compares falling in love to being abducted by aliens.

"Fortnight"

loki tour setlist

"Fortnight" was promoted as the lead single from "The Tortured Poets Department," alongside a music video that costars Post Malone and references "Dead Poets Society."

"The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived"

loki tour setlist

"The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" is a scathing breakup song that may have been inspired by Matty Healy , whom Swift dated while writing "The Tortured Poets Department." According to reports, their relationship lasted about one month .

"I Can Do It With a Broken Heart"

loki tour setlist

In a meta twist, "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" was apparently inspired by The Eras Tour itself. The lyrics seem to reference a string of concerts last year, when Swift felt "miserable" but continued to perform as usual ("They said, 'Babe, you gotta fake it 'til you make it,' and I did").

Surprise Song No. 1

loki tour setlist

During each show on The Eras Tour, Swift performs a two-song acoustic set that changes every night . The first song is always played on acoustic guitar.

The first-ever surprise song Swift played in Arizona was "Mirrorball." For the first stop on the European leg, she chose the "Midnights" bonus cut "Paris."

Surprise Song No. 2

loki tour setlist

The second surprise song of the evening is always played on the piano.

In Arizona, Swift's first-ever surprise song on piano was "Tim McGraw," the lead single from her 2006 debut album. For night one in France, Swift played the "Tortured Poets" heartbreaker "Loml."

"Lavender Haze"

loki tour setlist

"Lavender Haze" is the opening track on Swift's 10th studio album " Midnights ."

"Anti-Hero"

loki tour setlist

"Anti-Hero" was promoted as the lead single from "Midnights." It debuted at No. 1 and became Swift's biggest hit to date, reigning atop the chart for eight weeks.

The same week that "Anti-Hero" arrived in the top spot, Swift became the first and only artist in history to  occupy the entire top 10 on the Hot 100 .

"Midnight Rain"

loki tour setlist

"Midnight Rain" doubles as a breakup song and an ode to Swift's own ambitions: "He wanted it comfortable, I wanted that pain / He wanted a bride, I was making my own name," she sings, calling back to the rejection of '50s gender roles in "Lavender Haze."

"Vigilante Shit"

loki tour setlist

Put simply, "Vigilante Shit" is about getting revenge. Many fans believe the song was inspired by Scooter Braun , who purchased Swift's back catalog in 2019. Less than two years later, he sold Swift's master recordings to a private equity company .

"Bejeweled"

loki tour setlist

The music video for "Bejeweled"  includes a variety of celebrity cameos, including Laura Dern, the Haim sisters, and Dita Von Teese.

"Mastermind"

loki tour setlist

In the chorus of "Mastermind," Swift seems to serenade her longtime fans: "What if I told you I'm a mastermind? / And now you're mine."

The song also references Swift's penchant for Easter eggs and her keen business acumen, which has allowed her to build a billion-dollar empire .

"I'm sick of women not being able to say that they have strategic business minds — because male artists are allowed to," Swift told Rolling Stone in 2019. "And so I'm sick and tired of having to pretend like I don't mastermind my own business."

"Karma"

loki tour setlist

Swift closes the elaborate show with "Karma," a song that mocks her enemies and salutes her own longevity: "Ask me what I learned from all those years / Ask me what I earned from all those tears / Ask me why so many fade, but I'm still here."

Taylor Swift's European Eras Tour leg kicked off in Paris with a new setlist. See which songs are in and out.

May 9, 2024 / 8:24 PM EDT / CBS/AFP

Taylor Swift fever struck Paris on Thursday as the highest-grossing tour in history finally arrived in Europe, with fans treated to the first-ever performance of songs from her latest album.

The Eras Tour began its European leg with four dates at the La Defense Arena in Paris.

"I wish I could have toured Europe more. This is a dream crowd," the 34-year-old megastar told the ecstatic audience.

There were deafening shrieks as images of typewriter sheets indicated that songs off the new album "The Tortured Poets Department" were starting late in the show.

Emerging in a lyrics-covered dress, she ran through several of the darker new tracks starting with "But Daddy I Love Him" and "Fortnight", a particularly furious rendition of "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" and an elaborate "I Can Do it with a Broken Heart," with a golden-era Hollywood dance routine.

Other "The Tortured Poets Department" songs performed included "So High School," "Down Bad" and "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," according to ETonline .

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour - Paris, France

"You were the first crowd to see songs from 'The Tortured Poets Department'," she said, before adding: "Or, as I like to call it, 'Female Rage: the Musical.'"

That was a dream come true for many in the audience.

"I've been so excited for so long, I can't believe it's actually happening," said 11-year-old Emma, who had flown in with her mother from New York.

Adding songs from "The Tortured Poets Department" wasn't the only change to the show and its 45-song setlist.

Perhaps the biggest change, according to ETonline, is the "Folklore" and "Evermore" setlists were combined, cutting four songs across the two albums: "'Tis the Damn Season," "Tolerate It," "The 1" and "The Last Great American Dynasty."

"On the Eras Tour, we have now reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter," Swift said, according to video posted to social media. "You can call it "Folklore, Evermore" or you can call it the Sister Albums! You can call it whatever you want as long as you promise to sing 'Champagne Problems' with me."

"The Archer" was removed from the "Lovers" portion of the show and "Long Live" was cut from the "Speak Now" era setlist, according to ETonline.

One of the secret songs was, fittingly, the "Midnights" bonus track "Paris."

Parts of the show were also rearranged to make room for the newest era. The "Red" era was moved from the fifth to the third slot, according to ETonline, and the newest album was introduced following the "1989" set.

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour - Paris, France

The venue said a fifth of the crowd were from the United States — many attracted by Europe's rules against charging huge mark-ups on resale tickets that can save Americans thousands of dollars compared with shows at home.

Georg'Ann Daly decided to celebrate her 23rd birthday with the Paris show. It meant flying from Nashville to Chicago to London and catching the Eurostar to Paris.

"I've always been obsessed with Taylor Swift," she told AFP.

A handful of superfans camped out from Tuesday in Paris to ensure they got a prime spot.

"I didn't plan to, but I came to check it out and I saw the first tents and I panicked a little," said Chris, 30.

Noah, 20, is seeing all four Paris concerts — he used 22 email addresses to get through the lottery system and secure the tickets.

FRANCE-MUSIC-AUDIENCE-TAYLOR-SWIFT

After wrapping up her run in Paris, Swift will head for dates in Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland and Austria.

The Eras Tour has worked its way across North and South America and Asia since starting in March 2023.

By the end of the year, it had already become the first to sell more than $1 billion in tickets and is on track to more than double that by the time it concludes in Vancouver this December.

Swift's popularity shows no sign of dimming — the new album sold 1.4 million copies on its first day and broke every streaming record , reaching a billion streams on Spotify within five days.

Swift's tell-all dissections of her love stories have been the fuel powering her global domination, and fans have been poring over "The Tortured Poets Department" for cryptic clues about ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, her short-but-dramatic fling with Matty Healy (lead singer of The 1975), and her current partner, American football star Travis Kelce.

"Taylor talks about toxic relationships, impossible love, politics, mental health, and so much more," said Chris as she waited by her tent for the big moment. "I think we can all find a song that resonates with our experiences."

Taylor Swift Adds TTPD Songs (and Subtracts Others) from Eras Tour Setlist as European Leg Kicks Off in Paris

The singer's May 9 show marks her first since releasing 'The Tortured Poets Department' — see all the setlist changes

  • Taylor Swift resumed her Eras Tour in Paris on May 9
  • The concert marked her first since releasing her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department
  • She added songs from TTPD to the tour setlist, while removing a handful of other album tracks throughout the show

Taylor Swift is back and better than ever!

After a nearly two-month break from her historic Eras Tour , during which she released her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department , the singer has taken the stage once again, and this time, she’s in Europe.

The pop star, 34, took the stage at Paris La Défense Arena in France on May 9 to perform her career-spanning set list — which has been edited to make room for TTPD tracks, meaning some others have been cut (at least for now). New outfits, set pieces and choreography were also present.

Fans realized they were in for a fresh Eras Tour experience when the concert's introduction video was changed to include a TTPD section of the Lover house representing each of Swift's eras.

As per usual, she opened the show Thursday with the Lover section — but skipped "The Archer." From there, the Grammy winner went into Fearless followed by Red , performing the sections in a different order than during the previous tour legs. Another nod to the setlist switch-ups? Swift sported a t-shirt that read, "This Is Not Taylor's Version," while performing "22."

Next came the Speak Now section, and she removed "Long Live," which was initially added following the July 2023 release of the album's rerecorded Taylor's Version .

The Reputation segment then arrived, followed by a combined Folklore and Evermore section with "The 1," "The Last Great American Dynasty," "Tolerate It" and "'Tis the Damn Season" getting cut.

"I have always talked about Folklore and Evermore as sister albums," explained Swift on stage. "On the Eras Tour, we have reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter, you can call it 'Folkmore,' 'Everlore,' you can call it whatever you want as long as you promise to sing 'Champagne Problems' really loud."

The 1989 section came afterwards, and then The Tortured Poets Department . The section highlighting Swift's latest album featured "But Daddy I Love Him," "So High School," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me," "Down Bad," "Fortnight," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" and "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart."

Swift then performed two surprise songs: "Paris" from Midnights and "loml" from TTPD .

The show concluded with the Midnights section, with all seven tracks from previous shows remaining in the setlist.

Since Swift's last round of Eras Tour shows in Singapore in March — which the pop star dubbed an “unforgettable way to end this leg of the tour” — she has kept busy, attending Coachella , enjoying date nights with boyfriend Travis Kelce and, of course, releasing her latest album.

The ”Florida!!!” singer will play three more shows at the Paris La Défense Arena on May 10, 11 and 12 before heading to the rest of her May tour stops, which include Stockholm, Lisbon and Madrid.

Then, the Eras Tour’s European leg will continue, returning to France (Lyon this time!) and hitting the U.K. before heading to Dublin in late June.

Swift will continue performing in Europe throughout the summer before wrapping in London in August and heading back to North America for a slew of shows in Toronto and, finally, Vancouver.

Taylor Swift debuts ‘Tortured Poets’ songs live as Eras Tour resumes

Swift made some significant changes to the 3-hour-and-15-minute set when she kicked off the European leg of her record-shattering tour Thursday after a two-month break.

loki tour setlist

Taylor Swift’s record-shattering Eras Tour has essentially been a well-oiled, steady machine since it launched in March 2023 — she switched up a few songs on occasion, but mostly stuck to the same set list during the 3-hour-and-15-minute spectacle. And Swift’s loyal fan base has spent hours studying footage from around the world, with millions tuning in on fan-hosted live-streams to memorize every detail.

But on Thursday, Swift made some significant changes to the show for the first time as the tour kicked off its European leg at Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France, for the first of four sold-out concerts. As many predicted, she debuted live performances of her songs from her 11th studio record, “The Tortured Poets Department,” a double album that contains 31 tracks and sold the equivalent of 2.61 million albums in its first week (combining physical sales and streams) when it dropped in mid-April .

“You are so present and it means the world to us as performers when you show up to a concert and when you act this way. … It makes us want to show you all kinds of fun surprises,” Swift, 34, told the extremely enthusiastic audience early in the night, calling the Eras Tour “the best experience of my life, honestly.”

The concert was live-streamed by fans on TikTok. One viewed by The Washington Post featured a news ticker running at the bottom of the video with updates about the show: new outfits, new video screen visuals, a new order for some of the songs. Swift, who divides her set list into “eras” from her 18-year career, kicked off the “Tortured Poets” era about two hours into the concert with “But Daddy I Love Him” — a track that many interpret to be a message to her fan base about their, ah, extreme interest in her love life and the men she dates.

The Style section

“I’ll tell you something about my good name, it’s mine alone to disgrace,” Swift sang, running back and forth across the stage throughout. “… God save the most judgmental creeps who say they want what’s best for me, sanctimoniously performing soliloquies I’ll never see.” At the end, she sat down with her dancers and added a verse from “So High School” with lines that include “You know how to ball; I know Aristotle” — thought to be a reference to her boyfriend , the very famous football player Travis Kelce. (Swift did not sit for any interviews about the album and has provided very little detail for the ideas behind the lyrics.)

Even if they were being scolded, the fans loved it. The ecstatic screaming and cheering continued in the audience as Swift continued through “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?,” which appears to detail the downsides of fame, along with breakup anthems “Down Bad” and “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” along with her new single with Post Malone, “Fortnight.” Swift added all kinds of new dance routines and set pieces, including one that made it look as if she were levitating across the stage.

And she performed a brief play before “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” an upbeat track about how she was able to perform on the Eras Tour even through heartbreak. Two magicians dragged her lifeless body to another part of the stage where they “forced” her to change into another sparkly outfit as she rolled her eyes and reluctantly got ready to dance.

“So you were the first crowd ever to see ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ chapter of the Eras Tour!” Swift said cheerfully during the next set where she played a couple of surprise acoustic songs. “Or as I like to call it, ‘Female Rage: The Musical.’”

Otherwise, many chapters of the show stayed the same. Though some wondered whether Swift would simply extend the concert to four hours, she cut six songs overall and condensed the “Folklore” and “Evermore” eras into one, explaining that she considers them “sister albums” because she recorded them during the same year early in the pandemic.

“I’ve always thought ‘Folklore’ to me represents spring and summer and ‘Evermore’ represents fall and winter. So on the Eras Tour, we have now reunited the sisters and combined them into one chapter,” she said. She wrapped up the concert with “Karma” a little after 11 p.m. Paris time after running through 45 songs, and thanked her dancers and band for learning all the new material.

The European leg of the Eras Tour will run through mid-August, and the tour will resume in the United States and Canada in the fall.

Rolling Stones setlist: Every song they sang in Phoenix on the 2024 Hackney Diamonds Tour

loki tour setlist

The Rolling Stones are now three concerts into a 2024 tour in support of last year's "Hackney Diamonds," their first new album of original material in nearly 20 years.

And Mick Jagger is thrilled to have those new songs in the set, sharing space with such crowd-pleasing classics as “Honky Tonk Women” and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”

As Jagger enthused in a recent interview with The Arizona Republic, “I love playing the old songs and all that. But it's great to be able to have something new because you haven't done it before. It's a challenge to you to get it over to the audience and see if they like it.”

The Stones played three songs from that new release when the Hackney Diamonds Tour hit State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ, on Tuesday, May 7, the same as they’d done at the tour launch in Houston on April 28 and again on May 2 at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

For Mick Jagger, 3 new songs seems right for a stadium setlist

Jagger told The Republic he would love to do more songs from "Hackney Diamonds," but three seems about right for a stadium crowd.

“It's more difficult with a stadium crowd,” he said. “Because they want to hear, you know…. 'Oh, I've come here to hear 'Paint It, Black...' 'When are they gonna play 'Honky Tonk Women'?"

There were plenty of songs as iconic as “Honky Tonk Women” and “Paint It, Black” in the mix at Tuesday’s concert, from the opening riff of “Start Me Up” through “Sympathy for the Devil,” “Gimme Shelter,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and an encore-closing “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”

Keith Richards took the mic for “Little T&A” from “Tattoo You,” a song they hadn’t done since 2016 before this tour launched, introducing it as "She's My Little Rock 'n' Roll."

Rolling Stones 2024 concert review: Time is still on Mick Jagger's side as Rolling Stones rock State Farm Stadium

Rolling Stones dropped 'Out of Time' from the setlist after New Orleans

Houston saw the first appearance on a U.S. setlist of “Out of Time,” a classic that first appeared on the U.K. edition of “Aftermath” in 1966. They also dusted that one off at Jazz Fest, but Jagger said the U.S. crowds weren’t feeling it, so Phoenix didn’t get that one.

As Jagger told the Republic , “In Europe, they all sang along and everything. Here, they don't seem to know the song, you know? I mean, it's not a particularly well-known Stones song. It got a bit of popularity because it was in that (Quentin) Tarantino movie as a playout song. But they don't seem to know it. I put it in the front of the set, or near the front. And everyone's looking around like, ‘Ehh, what's this?’”

Glendale saw the tour debut of 'She's So Cold,' 'It's Only Rock 'n Roll' and 'Monkey Man'

With all those staples to get in the set, there’s not a lot of room to change things up, but they've been managing.

New Orleans saw the tour debut of “Let It Bleed,” “Time Is on My Side” as a duet with local soul queen Irma Thomas, whose 1964 recording inspired the Stones to cover it, and “Whole Wide World” from the new release.

At State Farm Stadium, we got three songs that hadn’t made the setlist yet on this tour — "It's Only Rock 'n Roll (But I Like It)," "She's So Cold" and "Monkey Man," which won the online fan vote, beating out a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Like A Rolling Stone,” “Emotional Rescue” and “Heartbreaker.”
