About Gracie Abrams

Since making her debut with “Mean It” in October 2019, Gracie Abrams has emerged as one of the most compelling songwriters of her generation.  She is a consummate songwriter who names iconic figures like Joni Mitchell and Taylor Swift as her most formative influences.

With the arrival of her debut project  minor  in summer 2020, she received glowing reviews from the likes of Pigeons & Planes, i-D, Vogue and NME. Executive-produced by Blake Slatkin — and also made with leading producers like Joel Little and benny blanco-  minor  features her beloved singles, “21,” and “I miss you, I’m sorry”.

In November 2021, Abrams returned with  This Is What It Feels Like , a 12-track project exploring such complex emotional experiences as self-betrayal, insecurity, and failed attempts at connection.  Abrams took on a greater role in the production process here, working with The National’s Aaron Dessner, Joel Little and Blake Slatkin to dream up each track.

Abrams kicked off 2022 with a headline tour of North America followed by a support slot on Olivia Rodrigo’s tour.  She reconnected with Dessner to release two songs this year – “Block me out” and “Difficult” – and continues to work on her debut album.

About GAYLE

GAYLE’s debut EP,  a study of the human experience volume one , captures the 18 year old’s most specific and vividly real emotions: the tension between longing for connection and fearing vulnerability, the risk and thrill of refusing to compromise your own needs. Released in early 2022, the project features her electrifying chart topping smash single “ abcdefu ”: a double-Platinum anthem that propelled the Nashville-based artist to over 2 billion streams globally and such milestones as being named as a Billboard Music Awards finalist, and earn such honors as American Music Award and People’s Choice Award nominations for Best New Artist, and 2 MTV VMA nominations. In the midst of navigating that whirlwind success, GAYLE headed back into the studio to create  a study of the human experience volume two —a powerful new EP that doubles down on its predecessor’s unapologetic truth-telling, with  American Songwriter  writing “GAYLE’s uncensored honesty as a lyrical storyteller is what makes her music so captivating.” Highlighted by the playfully chaotic “ fmk (with blackbear) ” and the blissful “ snow angels ,”  a study of the human experience volume two  is out now. Heralded as a magnetic live performer, GAYLE has spent the past year on a headline tour, playing alongside Tate McRae, AJR, My Chemical Romance, and at festival dates around the world.

HAIM are sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, hailing from Los Angeles, CA. The band made history as the first all-female rock group to be nominated for GRAMMY® Album of The Year with their third album, ‘Women In Music Pt. III.’ The album received two GRAMMY® nominations, the band’s single “The Steps” was nominated for ‘Best Rock Performance.’  The band again made history winning a Brit Award for Best International Group, the first time an all-female act has won this award since Destiny’s Child in 2002.  ‘Women In Music Pt. III’ was released in June and was met with an overwhelming amount of critical acclaim, rave reviews and included on a variety of year-end Top 10 lists. Named a “Critic’s Pick” by  The New York Times  and “Best New Music” by  Pitchfork , they heralded, “the third album from the trio is far and away their best. Intimate, multidimensional, and wide-ranging, the songwriting shines with personality and a great curiosity for melody and style.” ‘Women In Music Pt. III’ debuted at #1 on the Album Sales Chart, Alternative Chart and Rock Chart following release week in the US. The band also earned the #1 album in the UK, marking their second time at the top of the UK albums chart. Haim released their debut album “Days Are Gone” in 2013 which earned them a GRAMMY® nomination for Best New Artist. Renowned for their engaging high-energy live performances, HAIM have toured the world playing headline shows and festival stages including Glastonbury, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and more.  On their most recent headlining tour in support of Women In Music Part III, HAIM sold out shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden as well as Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and 02 Arena in London

About OWENN

This Summer, OWENN, the talented multi-hyphenate, brought his enigmatic spirit and smokey sense of soul to the forefront as he formally introduced himself on his debut tour, highlighted by a Main Stage East show at Lollapalooza Paris; OWENN carried the momentum from Europe having just recently opened for Lil Nas X on the two sold out New York, Radio City Music Hall shows – Long Live Montero Tour.

OWENN has attracted attention contributing dance moves on stages worldwide with A-list artists such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Normani and others. Including, most recently working with Lil Nas X to choreograph his tv performances for MTV VMAs and live show appearances on the iHeart Jingle Ball Tour.  OWENN became a staple of Taylor Swift’s show on her  1989 Tour  and  Reputation Tour .  In 2019, he starred alongside Taylor in her video for “ Lover ,” as well as Normani in her video for “ Motivation ”.

Inspired by Prince, Marvin Gaye, Usher, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, and the Smiths, among others, OWENN’s emotional and spiritual approach to dance translated to writing and recording. OWENN’s debut EP will be released in fall of 2023.

Popular on Variety

“I can’t believe I’m saying this,” Swift told the crowd early in Thursday’s show, “but this is the last city on the U.S. leg of the Eras Tour, and we really wanted to spend it somewhere special.” Flattery will get her everywhere, but there’s an asterisk she could have put on that statement and didn’t, which is that the SoFi run marks the end of just one U.S. run for the tour, as she announced earlier in the day that she is adding North American dates for fall 2024, albeit more in what looks like a regional mopping-up exercise than a full-scale return after the Latin American, Asian and European globetrotting to come in the next year. No matter — Angelenos do like to believe we’re special, and were happy to treat it as a closer to what began in Phoenix four and a half months ago, even if, in the overall picture, she’s only just begun.

Otherwise, the map remains the same, apart from the two surprise songs that arrive as the penulimate section of the show. Thursday, the first of these was the very much anticipated live debut of a Vault track that became her latest single, “I Can See You,” treated in concert as a real rocker, even if performed as a solo acoustic guitar number. The other was a “Midnights” track that hadn’t previously made the grade, “Maroon” — even better on piano than enmeshed in Jack Antonoff’s booming co-production on record.

The biggest changeup for L.A. might have been something as seemingly basic as the glowing wristbands left on all 70,000 seats or so prior to gates opening, making for a light show far beyond anything seen at the beginning of the tour. When Swift launched into her abbreviated version of “You Need to Calm Down,” perhaps needless to predict, the SoFi audience became a huge, blinking rainbow flag in surround-vision. It would probably not be a spoiler for the remainder of the run to reveal that red gets some special consideration, but clearly a lot of thought as well as expense and effort went into the color-coding for each of the nearly 45 numbers that bring the audience’s wrists into the picture, above and beyond what will seem like glorified glow sticks the next time you see an artist passing these trinkets out. It has a particularly startling effect on the senses at SoFi Stadium, which, built deep into the ground, has such an extreme rake in its medium and upper seating areas that it’s almost like being surrounded by canyon walls, now set aglow by benign alien forces.

Swift does her very capable best of making sure the crowd feels part of the show, and not just because of what’s been handed to them: “Is there anyone here tonight who put in an extensive amount of effort to be with us at the Eras Tour?” she asked. And then, even more solicitously: “Did anyone here tonight put a lot of thought and preparation into one of these two things: lyric memorization, and your cute outfit?” As is customary on the tour, only one audience member is allowed near the actual proceedings, typically a tyke brought onto the B-stage for the gifting of a hat during “22.” On Thursday, it was Bianka Bryant, the 6-year-old daughter of Kobe and Vanessa, getting the bestowing.

It all adds up to an athletic feat a fan might undervalue just because the audience is busy being self-impressed with its own athleticism — getting into the stadium, walking down those ramps for another 10 minutes if the ducats are floor seats, and then standing from 6:30 p.m., when opening-opening act Gracie Abrams first goes on, until 11:45, when Swift has finally finished her last karmic duty for the night. (Seats, at a Taylor Swift concert, are ways of marking out personal space, not something really intended to bear weight.)

Sitting alone at the production’s mossy piano, Swift explained in the most basic terms, accessible to even the fans Brianka Bryant’s age, what exactly her mojo is. “The reason we didn’t tour for five years — that was not a normal or scheduled thing. We had a global pandemic; we had much more important things that we had to worry about. But I’ve been playing shows sort of as a coping mechanism my whole life, since I was about 12 years old. I go through this process where I feel things, I write a song about that thing, I show it to you and I go, ‘Do you like it? Did you ever feel this way too?’ And so when you guys are at at a show, if you even nod your head or make eye contact with me or sing the words to a song during a show, that to me validates that emotion and makes me feel like I wasn’t alone in feeling it. It’s sort of my coping process in life — so all of a sudden that was gone. And so I decided,” she continued, “in order to keep that connecton going, if I couldn’t play live shows with you, I was going to make and release as many albums as humanly possible .”

Hence, she explained, touring behind four new albums instead of one. The thought that kept driving her toward an eventual tour, Swift explained, was: “How cathartic would it be to get to sing ‘Champagne Problems’ with you?” She was even kind enough to call out “Bridge!” just before getting to one of this decade’s oddest pieces of sing-along bait — the forceful reading of a passage describing the spurning of a marriage proposal, including the shout-along line “What a shame she’s fucked in the head!” This is not the portion of what Swift does that she would explain for the pre-teens in the audience, necessarily, but the 30-and-up crowd that’s grown up with Swift certainly recognizes the value in the songwriter being outrageously free in sharing her neuroses, probably most of all in “Anti-Hero.” The day that “Midnights” came out last fall, we confidently predicted that it would be deeply cathartic to hear an entire stadium chanting “I’m the problem, it’s me,” and, dear reader, it feels like as blissful a moment of mass self-effacement as anyone could have hoped.

But what’s especially fulfilling about that is, by the time Swift closes the show with seven selections from last fall’s “Midnights” album, the obvious career bangers are already well out of the way. It feels for that last, looser stretch like we’ve joined the artist at an after-hours joint, with music that happens to feel clubby, even if it includes some of her most sophisticated lyric-writing. The after-party has been built into the fabric of the show. And how many superstars would end a hits-packed extravaganza with “And now here’s a solid half-hour from my new album”— and make it feel like a welcome and even deliriously appropriate conclusion, not a forced one?

At the point she kicks into the “Midnights” material, Angelenos may feel tempted to act like Angelenos — i.e., to start running for the car to beat the traffic, like Dodgers fans confident that it’s in the bag and nothing important could really happen in the final couple of innings. But that’d be a mistake at this show: Yes, the show has already climaxed 25 times, and this is the wind-down. But “Karma” — and karma — demand seeing it out to the finish. Chances are we won’t see a life-flashing-before-eyes tour like this again, not even from Swift. The memory of that epic-length bonding will be more than just a relaxing thought, if her Eras are the ones that help define yours, in the way that only great pop can.

Taylor Swift Taps Paramore for European Eras Tour Run

Taylor Swift knows we need more — so she’s giving us just that. The singer has added 14 more shows to the European/U.K. leg of her Eras Tour , and announced that Paramore will provide support throughout the trek.

“Really can’t contain my excitement because… we’re adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour,” Swift wrote on Twitter Wednesday, July 5. “And I get to travel the world doing shows with @paramore !! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m screaming???”

Last month, Swift added dozens of shows to her Taylor Swift: The Eras stadium tour — bringing the total count of shows to a whooping 104 nights . She also extended her run at Los Angeles’ So-Fi Stadium with a sixth show scheduled for Aug. 7.

The new addition comes after the singer announced shows in Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Europe earlier this week. (See below for the full tour dates.)

“EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY 🙋‍♀️,” she wrote on Instagram. “I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!”

She also added more dates to her already-announced Latin America tour. After wrapping her U.S. dates in Los Angeles on Aug. 9, Swift will head to Mexico City for four straight shows at Foro Sol starting Aug. 24. She’ll then stop in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and both Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in Brazil in November.

Swift first announced the tour last October after she completely took over the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 with Midnights . The added dates, which follow the addition of eight new shows last week, were slotted in “due to unprecedented demand,” according to the singer’s camp.

“Good Morning America, it’s Taylor,” Swift said during the announcement. “I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time and I’ve been planning for ages, and I finally get to tell you I’m going back on tour. The tour is called the ‘Eras’ tour, and it’s a journey through all of my musical eras of my career.”

The tour began on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona and extends through Aug. 9, where the singer will wrap with a fifth night at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Swift still has stops left in Detroit, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Seattle, and Santa Clara.

Slipknot Announce Here Comes the Pain Summer Tour

Taylor swift dominates entire top 10 on hot 100. again, billie eilish unveils 'hit me hard and soft' world tour dates.

Across the tour, Swift is being supported in select cities by a combination of special guests including Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN.

The Eras tour follows the cancelation of her planned 2020 Lover Fest tour, which was originally going to see her make stadium stops in Los Angeles, Boston, and New York, along with Brazil, Denmark, Norway, and Poland. “This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future,” she wrote in 2021.

Swift last went the road in 2018 for her massive Reputation Stadium Tour , which saw Swift accompanied by the likes of Charli XCX and Camila Cabello across the United States, the United Kingdom, along with Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. The tour was the highest-grossing music tour by a female artist that year.

Since her last tour, Swift has released four albums and two re-releases: Lover , Folklore , Evermore , Midnights , and Taylor’s Version editions of Fearless and Red with additional songs. In total, she’s dropped 90 tracks of new material, not including collaborations with the likes of Haim and Big Red Machine.

Fans have long wondered what music she’ll be performing on the road, with some theorizing that she’d host a residency in Las Vegas or a music festival where she’d perform different “eras” on different nights.

Along with packing her setlist with songs from Reputation in 2018, she surprised each city with an acoustic rendition of fan favorites like “Red,” “Holy Ground,” and “Wildest Dreams.” At select shows, she also brought out special guests. Shawn Mendes, Selena Gomez, Hayley Kiyoko, and Maren Morris were among the artists to be brought out by Swift.

The stadium tour was accompanied by a concert film released on New Year’s Eve that year.

She previously took her 1989 album on the road for 85 dates, where she was accompanied by the likes of Mendes, James Bay, Vance Joy, and Haim. Before then was The Red Tour in 2013 and 2014, and her Speak Now World Tour from 2011 to 2012.

Important information for buying tickets during the TaylorSwiftTix Presale powered by Verified Fan:

Our goal is to maximize the number of fans who have an opportunity to shop.

The link in your text will direct you to the show you were selected for — either a show that was available during registration or a show that was announced after registration closed.

If you were selected for a show available during registration, your code will enable you to shop  that  show  or any show in the same city  that was announced after registration closed. (You will not be able to shop a different show that was available during registration).

If you were selected for a show announced after registration closed — i.e., the link in your text directs you to one of those shows — your code is good for that show. We recommend you use the code for that show as it will have the greatest availability for you. If you choose, you can use your code instead for the show you prioritized first during registration; however, we expect demand for that show to be higher and your wait to be longer.

Remember, each code only allows you to purchase 6 tickets.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour: All the U.S. and international dates and opening acts

taylor swift eras tour august 4

Taylor Swift opened the Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — which rebranded itself as "Swift Cit y" for the March 17 and 18 concerts — with a triumphant return to live performance as the first act in the history of that venue to sell out two nights on the same tour.

By that point, she'd already broken the all-time record for most concert tickets sold by an artist in a single day and passed Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour as the highest-grossing tour in history by a female artist.

It's the first tour since Swift's 2018 "Reputation Stadium Tour," which kicked off in 2018 in support of her "Reputation" album.

The song "Anti-Hero" has the top spot, followed by "Lavender Haze" and "Maroon." Two official music videos for "Bejeweled" and "Anti-Hero" have combined over 60 million views on YouTube since the album's release.

Taylor Swift is, at long last, headed back on the road. Following this week’s monumental chart debut of Midnights , her tenth studio album, Swift announced the U.S. leg of her 2023 Eras tour on Tuesday morning (Nov. 1), confirming her first official tour in nearly five years following months of rumors.

“I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time. I’ve been planning for ages and I finally get to tell you: I’m going back on tour,” Swift said on GMA . “The tour is called the Eras tour and it’s a journey through all of the musical eras of my career.”

Taylor Swift Is ‘IN SHAMBLES’ Over ‘Midnights’ Dominating the Hot 100 Top 10

Swift said that after kicking off in the U.S., the tour will go on an international swing, with those dates to be announced soon.

Support on the tour will come via a rotating cast of opening acts including Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, Muna, Haim, Gayle, Gracie Abrams and Owenn. The public on-sale date for the tour will be 10 a.m. local venue time on Nov. 18. Swift has partnered with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program, with fans able to register here for the TaylorSwiftTix presale now through Nov. 9 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Registered fans will get a code with exclusive access to purchase tickets on Nov. 15 starting at 10 a.m. local venue time.

Previous Lover Fest Verified Fan purchasers will get preferred access to participate in the TaylorSwiftTix presale; make sure to register with the same Ticketmaster Account as your Lover Fest purchase. Capital One cardholders will have priority access to purchase tickets on Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. local venue time through Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. local venue time or until supplies last.

Swift’s planned follow-up to the Reputation tour, Lover Fest, was scheduled to take place in 2020 following the 2019 release of her Lover album, but was canceled due to the pandemic. Since the Reputation tour, Swift has released four original studio albums — Lover , 2020’s Folklore and Evermore , and Midnights — as well as two re-recorded albums, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) , both in 2021.

This week, Midnights blasted in atop the Billboard 200 albums chart with 1.578 million equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 27, according to Luminate — the biggest week for any album in nearly seven years. Meanwhile, Swift made history on the Hot 100 by becoming the first artist to claim the chart’s entire top 10 in a single frame, with “Anti-Hero” debuting at No. 1 to become her ninth career chart-topper.

Everything We Know About Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ Tour

Taylor Swift performs onstage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour "

Taylor Swift keeps adding more tour dates as fans buy up tickets to her Eras tour. Late last year, she announced eight extra concerts on the U.S. leg of the tour after releasing the first 27 dates—which were, apparently, not nearly enough for her robust fan base.

“UM. Looks like I’ll get to see more of your beautiful faces than previously expected… we’re adding 8 shows to the tour,” Swift wrote in a tweet .

The singer didn’t stop there though, on November 11, the tour gained 17 additional dates, totaling 52 concerts. As if that weren’t enough Swift has recently announced that she will head to Latin America, Asia, Australia, and Europe to continue to success of her tour’s U.S. leg.

“EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY. I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!” she posted on Instagram . On August 3, she announced yet again that she’s added new shows in the U.S. and Canada.

Here’s everything we know about the Eras tour, below.

When does the “Eras” tour start?

The U.S. part of Swift’s tour began on March 17 of 2023, in Glendale, Arizona. The first U.S. portion of the tour will wrap up at Los Angeles’s SoFi Stadium on August 9 but Swift has announced a range of international dates that will see her in spots well into the latter part of 2024. She will head back to North America on October, 18th 2024 for over a dozen additional dates.

Who is opening for Taylor Swift?

It’s practically worth going to one of Swift’s shows just to catch the warm-up acts. On the roster are Paramore , beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers , girl in red, Muna , Haim , Gayle, Gracie Abrams , and OWENN for her US stops.

Sabrina Carpenter will accompany Swift on the Latin American leg of her tour as well as dates in Australia and Singapore. While special guests have yet to be confirmed for later international dates, fans can certainly expect some big names.

Abrams will again join Swift for 15 dates across the United States and Canada, starting on October 18th and ending on November, 23rd, 2024.

Where, exactly, is she going on tour?

After her first show in Arizona, Swift headed to Las Vegas; then, Arlington, Texas; Tampa, Florida; back to Texas for a show in Houston; Atlanta; Nashville; Philadelphia; Foxborough, Massachusetts; East Rutherford, New Jersey; Chicago; Detroit; Pittsburgh; Minneapolis; Cincinnati; Kansas City, Missouri; Denver; Seattle; Santa Clara, California. She will play her final U.S. show in Los Angeles on August 9th.

After her whirlwind around the United States, Swift will then head to Latin America for dates in August and November. She will perform in Mexico City; Buenos Aires; Rio de Janeiro; with her last date being in São Paolo, Brazil in late November.

Just two weeks after announcing the Latin America tour dates, Swift added a roster of new stops throughout 2024 in Europe, Asia, and Australia. The singer will start in Tokyo in early February and then will head to Melbourne; Sydney; Singapore; Paris; Stockholm; Lisbon; Madrid; Lyon; Edinburgh; Liverpool; Cardiff; London; Dublin; Amsterdam; Zürich; Milan; Gelsenkirchen; Hamburg; Munich; Warsaw, and Vienna. Pending any additional shows, Swift will end the European leg with two nights at London’s Wembley Stadium on August 16th and 17th, 2024.

After a brief break, Swift will head back to North America for additional dates in the fall of 2024. She will start in Miami, Florida on October 18-20th and then will perform in New Orleans; Indianapolis; and Toronto. Pending any further dates, Swift’s “Eras” tour will conclude on November 23rd.

When and where will the shows take place?

Swift added even more dates to her now multi-year tour on August, 3rd. The singer announced that she will perform in several North American cities starting in the fall of 2024.

On June 27th, Swift added nine more shows to her already packed Eras tour schedule. There will be another L.A. date in addition to the already scheduled five as well as eight new shows in the United Kingdom and Europe.

The singer added 38 overseas dates in Asia, Australia, and Europe.

View on Instagram

On June 2nd, Swift announced eight dates across Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.

Swift announced her Eras tour on November 1, 2022.

Where can fans buy tickets for the Eras tour?

Ticketmaster was the official partner of the Eras tour, however, due to a massive influx of pre-sales (over 2.4 million in one day) they canceled a planned public sale of tickets which led to Swift issuing a statement as well as several lawsuits .

“Well. It goes without saying that I’m extremely protective of my fans,” she said. “We’ve been doing this for decades together and over the years, I’ve brought so many elements of my career in house. I’ve done this SPECIFICALLY to improve the quality of my fans’ experience by doing it myself with my team who care as much about my fans as I do. It’s really difficult for me to trust an outside entity with these relationships and loyalties, and excruciating for me to just watch mistakes happen with no recourse.”

For the remaining US dates, it’s best to purchase tickets through a verified reseller like StubHub or Vivid Seats .

There was a verified fan sale for shows in Latin America, which ended on June 7th, with tickets selling out almost instantly. However, fans can purchase tickets on StubHub , Vivid Seats , MegaSeats and TicketNetwork . For dates in Asia, Australia, and Europe fans can visit Swift’s tour page for specific information for registration, pre-sale, and on-sale dates.

The last time the musician toured was back in 2018. At that time, she’d just put out Reputation— since then, she has released Lover , Folklore, and Evermore , Midnights plus re-recorded her Red and Fearless albums. That’s a lot of material to catch up on.

KABC logo

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- Did Taylor Swift play your favorite song at her much-anticipated The Eras Tour? And what were her surprise songs each night? Here's where you can find out.

Swift officially kicked off the L.A.-leg of her tour Thursday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.

If you couldn't snag tickets, lucky for you, we'll be tracking down all the songs she played at each show -- including the surprise songs.

Swift's setlist for each show has been very consistent, with performances of specific songs from each album. This is likely due to her heavy stage production, which relies on specific cues for lighting, dancers, special guests, etc.

But during each show, there is a special section for two surprise songs.

Night 1, Aug. 3 surprise songs:

  • I Can See You (live debut; on guitar): A new track from her "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" album from the vault. Before the performance, she told the crowd that it would be her first time ever performing the song live.
  • Maroon (on piano; second time this tour): A clear fan-favorite from her latest new album, "Midnights." The crowd went wild during her performance, cheering and singing along word-for-word.

Night 2, Aug. 4 surprise songs:

  • Our Song (On guitar) from her self-titled debut album
  • You Are in Love Performed on piano at 11:15 p.m. She hasn't played this song since 2015.

Night 3, Aug. 5 surprise songs:

  • Death by a Thousand Cuts (repeated surprise song; on guitar)
  • You're on Your Own, Kid (performed on piano; repeated surprise song.)

Night 4, Aug. 7 surprise songs:

  • Dress (tour debut; first time acoustically)
  • exile (performed on piano; tour debut)

Night 5, Aug. 8 surprise songs:

  • I Know Places (On guitar; first time live since 2018)
  • King of My Heart (Tour debut, on piano)

Night 6, Aug. 9 surprise songs:

Taylor Swift Announces More Tour Dates: "Turns Out It's NOT the End of an Era"

Taylor Swift performs at the Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has officially added more North American dates to her Eras Tour. On Aug. 3, just before the final shows of her initial US run, Swift revealed that she'll be playing 15 additional shows in four cities across America and Canada in 2024. "Turns out it's NOT the end of an era," she wrote in a social media post . "Miami, New Orleans, Indy and Toronto: The Eras Tour is coming to you in 2024 with @gracieabrams! Verified fan registration for all shows is open now – visit TaylorSwift.com for more information."

Swift first shared her vision for the Eras Tour with the world on Nov. 1, 2022, writing that it's "a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!)." The tour's first leg kicked off in the US in March, and will conclude in Los Angeles on Aug. 9. In June, Swift added 50 international dates to her schedule , including stops in the UK, Singapore, and more.

Despite some initial issues with Ticketmaster , Swift's Eras Tour has been a massive success by all counts. It's attracted stars (and their kids) , from Josh Gad and Reese Witherspoon to Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Garner, and it's also reportedly on track to become the highest-grossing tour of all time, per a June report in Pollstar . Swift has also netted praise for her elaborate outfits and thrilled fans with nightly surprise acoustic songs .

Swift initially teased that a tour was in the works on an episode of " The Graham Norton Show " that aired on Oct. 28, 2022. "We will sometime soonish. It's going to happen," she said of going back on the road. "We will do it, and it will be great."

The "Midnights" singer also teased the tour before during an Oct. 24, 2022, appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," when the late-night talk-show host pressed an answer out of her after pointing out the fact that she hasn't toured in four years. "We want you to," said Fallon, to which Swift replied, "I think I should do it." Fallon added: "When it's time, you'll let us know." "When it's time, we'll do it," Swift said, confirming his statement before she added how much she misses seeing her fans IRL.

Swift's record-breaking "Midnights" album dropped on Oct. 21, 2022, and she released " Speak Now (Taylor's Version) " on July 7. As Swift continues on with her star-studded Eras Tour, read on to learn everything you need to know, including the new show dates.

How Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Conquered the World

The pop star’s record-breaking, career-spanning show has dominated the summer, commanding attention and whipping up demand at a level thought unachievable in a fragmented age.

Reporting from Kansas City, Mo., and New York

As Taylor Swift rolled into Los Angeles this week, the frenzy surrounding her record-breaking Eras Tour was already in high gear.

Headlines gushed that she had given $100,000 bonuses to her crew. Politicians asked her to postpone her concerts in solidarity with striking hotel workers. Scalped tickets were going for $3,000 and up. And there were way, way too many friendship bracelets to count.

These days, the center of an otherwise splintered music world can only be Taylor Swift.

The pop superstar’s tour, which is now finishing its initial North American leg with six nights at SoFi Stadium outside Los Angeles, has been both a business and a cultural juggernaut. Swift’s catalog of generation-defining hits and canny marketing sense have helped her achieve a level of white-hot demand and media saturation not seen since the 1980s heyday of Michael Jackson and Madonna — a dominance that the entertainment business had largely accepted as impossible to replicate in the fragmented 21st century.

“The only thing I can compare it to is the phenomenon of Beatlemania,” said Billy Joel, who attended Swift’s show in Tampa, Fla., with his wife and young daughters.

In a summer of tours by stars like Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen, Morgan Wallen and Drake, Swift’s stands apart, in numbers and in media noise. Although Swift, 33, and her promoters do not publicly report box-office figures, the trade publication Pollstar estimated that she has been selling about $14 million in tickets each night. By the end of the full world tour, which is booked with 146 stadium dates well into 2024, Swift’s sales could reach $1.4 billion or more — exceeding Elton John’s $939 million for his multiyear farewell tour, the current record-holder.

Swift has now had more No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 over the course of her career than any other woman, surpassing Barbra Streisand. With the tour lifting Swift’s entire body of work, she has placed 10 albums on that chart this year and is the first living artist since the trumpeter and bandleader Herb Alpert in 1966 to have four titles in the Top 10 at the same time.

“It’s a pretty amazing feat,” Alpert, 88, said in a phone interview. “With the way radio is these days, and the way music is distributed, with streaming, I didn’t think anyone in this era could do it.”

But how did a concert tour become so much more: fodder for gossip columns, the subject of weather reports , a boon for friendship-bracelet beads — the unofficial currency of Swiftie fandom — and the reason nobody could get a hotel room in Cincinnati at the end of June?

“She is the best C.E.O., and best chief marketing officer, in the history of music,” said Nathan Hubbard, a longtime music and ticketing executive who co-hosts a Swift podcast . “She is following people like Bono, Jay-Z and Madonna, who were acutely aware of their brands. But of all of them, Taylor is the first one to be natively online.”

Swifties have chronicled the stream of celebrity fans who have turned up each night: Julia Roberts, the New York Jets’ new quarterback Aaron Rodgers, even Flavor Flav of Public Enemy. But Swift has also made each show a news event by adding two “surprise songs,” often with headline-grabbing guests. On the July day that she put out a music video featuring Taylor Lautner, an ex-boyfriend, the actor backflipped across the stage in Kansas City, Mo., and paid Swift effusive tribute — “not just for the singer you are,” Lautner said, “but for the human you are.” The crowd registered its approval with an earsplitting roar.

The Taylorpalooza extends to every level of the news media, which began the coverage cycle by chronicling Swift’s ticketing fiasco last November, when fans — and scalpers’ bots — crushed Ticketmaster’s systems, leading to a heated Senate Judiciary hearing . Since then, seemingly no nugget of Swift news has escaped coverage, from the stars in the stands to oddities like a Seattle concert that, according to one researcher, shook the ground with an intensity equivalent to a 2.3-magnitude earthquake .

Music critics have portrayed the Eras Tour as showing Swift at the top of her game as a media-savvy, big-tent talent, a pop star with a knack for grand spectacle as well as the polished artistry of a classic songwriter.

Shania Twain, the country-pop star whose career in some ways prefigured Swift’s, caught the Las Vegas stop of the Eras Tour, a 44-plus song production that goes as long as three and a half hours. She praised Swift’s “beautiful balance” of high-tech stagecraft and intimate performance segments. “I have to applaud her,” Twain said in a telephone interview. “As a performer, I know that work that goes into it.”

The power of Swift’s fan army — and fear of crossing the star, or even appearing to — has kept nearly all of the press about the tour sunny. Though some fans (and parents) balked at the ticket prices and challenges of securing seats, most frustration was directed squarely at Ticketmaster, not Swift. After a few weeks of headlines romantically linking Swift with a frontman some fans considered to be problematic, reports spread in the celebrity pages that they had split. (Swift’s representatives declined to comment for this article.)

For fans, the shows are a pilgrimage, and a rediscovery of the joys of mass gatherings. Flights are packed with Swifties, and travelers trade stories and compare outfits — drawn from looks associated with Swift “eras” — in stadium corridors and parking lots. In Kansas City, the comedian Nikki Glaser was attending her eighth show, a commitment that she estimated has cost her $25,000.

“This year I decided not to freeze my eggs,” Glaser said. “I’m going to put that money toward the thing I love most in the world, which is Taylor Swift.”

Before Eras, Swift hadn’t been on tour since 2018. And her catalog has grown by seven No. 1 albums since then, fueled in part by three rerecorded “Taylor’s Versions” of her first LPs — a project hailed by Swift’s fans as a crusade to regain control of her music, though it is also an act of revenge after the sale of Swift’s former record label, a move that, she said , “stripped me of my life’s work.”

“Folklore” and “Evermore” expanded her palate into fantastical indie-folk and brought new collaborators into the fold: Aaron Dessner from the band the National and Justin Vernon, a.k.a. Bon Iver, rock-world figures who helped attract new listeners.

The other major tour this year that is enticing fans to book transcontinental flights, and to show up costumed and in rapture, is also by a woman: Beyoncé, 41, whose Renaissance tour is a fantasia of disco and retrofuturism. Like Swift, she is also a trailblazing artist-entrepreneur, maintaining tight control over her career and fostering a rich connection with fans online. Together with Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie,” a critique of the patriarchy told in hot pink, they are signs of powerful women ruling the discourse of pop culture.

But in music, at least, the scale and success of Swift’s tour is without equal. Later this month, after completing 53 shows in the United States, she will kick off an international itinerary of at least 78 more before returning to North America next fall. Beyoncé’s full tour has 56 dates; Springsteen’s, 90. (Recently, Harry Styles wrapped a 173-date tour in arenas and stadiums, grossing about $590 million.)

Outside Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, fans posed for selfies and shared their ticketing ordeals. Esmeralda Tinoco and Sami Cytron, 24-year-old former sorority sisters, said they had paid $645 for two seats. A stone’s throw away, Karlee Patrick and Emily DeGruson, both 18 and dressed as a pair in angel/devil costumes after a line in Swift’s “Cruel Summer,” sat “Taylorgating” at the edge of the parking lot; they said they had paid $100 for parking but couldn’t afford tickets.

As Swift’s opening acts finished, the crowd rushed in. Glaser, the comedian, later said that of the eight shows she had been to, her favorites were the ones where she had brought her mother — and converted her to Swiftie fandom.

“Everyone is in love with her,” Glaser said her mom told her after one show in Texas. “Now I get it.”

With interest soaring, the travel planning website recently crunched the numbers, analyzing the average cheapest cost of concert tickets, hotel rooms, meals, drinks and transportation in addition to city safety scores to determine the cheapest places to see Swift live abroad.

Islands determined the total lowest average cost of attending the Eras Tour at each location by calculating the cost of one concert ticket, looking at the average ticket cost available per location, a two-night hotel stay, six inexpensive meals, one domestic beer and two taxi rides within 5 miles of the venue. The total lowest average cost doesn’t include flights or merch.

Warsaw, Poland — where Swift will perform Aug. 1-3 — is the cheapest destination to experience the Eras Tour in 2024, with an average cost of $712 before plane tickets. The city also receives an impressive safety index score of 72.98 out of 100.

Although Warsaw isn’t the cheapest ticket at $443, the city’s low hotel rates ($93.92), meal costs ($10.19) and taxi rides ($8.19) will appeal to budget-conscious Swifties.

Fans seeking to minimize costs should also target Germany, as the country boasts three Eras Tour cities among the top six cheapest, including Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich. Each city features a total lowest average cost of $1,000 or less before flights.

Stockholm, Paris and Lisbon are also options that won’t break the bank and also provide fans the opportunity to explore iconic European cities.
