January 19 & 20, 2024, the Toughest Monster Truck Tour will return to Denny Sanford PREMIER Center . Tickets go on sale to the public FRIDAY, August 25, and ALL tickets are $5 off and include a FREE Pit Pass (a $15 value) through September 10.

In addition to the monster trucks, the internationally popular Freestyle Motocross team will also be featured.

The Pit Pass gets fans early entry to walk on the dirt track, see the trucks up close, get autographs from the drivers and take photos. After September 10, pit passes can be purchased for $15.

What makes the Toughest Monster Truck Tour the “toughest” around

Monster truck enthusiasts bring 90s dirt track designs back to the budweiser events center..

The Toughest Monster Truck Tour, presented by Fort Collins Dodge, is returning to the Budweiser Events Center on August 13 and 14.

When people think about the Toughest Monster Truck Tour, they imagine an action-packed, two-hour event that never loses momentum. The show offers monster trucks flying high in the air, nail-biting racing, and freestyle sessions that include donuts, wheelies – and yes – sometimes crashes.

This is a real competition showcasing teams from all over the country in pursuit of one goal: to be named the Toughest Monster Truck at the end of the event.

That this event is considered the “toughest” monster truck event is no accident. A group of people got together in 2010 with a vision to create a monster truck event that would bring back the excitement of monster trucks from the 1990s.

In the early days, monster truck events were considered an event geared primarily to male motorsports fans. But as the sport progressed, it quickly became apparent that monster truck shows were an affordable event that the whole family enjoys. Monster truck events rapidly became one of the most popular family shows.

In 2010, many truck promoters transitioned into using more flat, table-top tracks with no big jumps and no cars to be crushed. Some promoters even took out the dirt altogether.

But creators of the Toughest Monster Truck Tour envisioned bringing back the tracks of the past. Dirt obstacles and the old-fashioned crush cars result in big air, intense racing, and everyone’s favorite part of the show, the monster truck freestyle! The challenge of bringing back these tracks was making sure the competing trucks would be up to the task and ensuring events could be exciting not only in outdoor venues and large stadiums but also just as exciting when taking place in indoor arenas.

The tracks are the brainchild of Brian Manson, the son of an engineer and the grandson of a farmer. His upbringing gave him the skills to operate the large equipment needed to move a lot of dirt and bring to life these special track designs. As a lifelong fan of monster trucks, Manson is also a natural in recognizing new competitive teams and drivers.

“One of the essential components of spotting talent is, of course, the skill of the drivers,” said Kelly Hess Goldman, one of the event’s promoters. “Drivers on the Toughest Monster Truck Tour must have a competitive spirit and a willingness to attack the track in all events with a strong desire to win.”

According to Goldman, “The other way that a strong monster truck team can show they are above average is recognizing the limitations of some of the mechanics, and instead of accepting those limitations, creating innovations and technology.” Most of the monster trucks on the Toughest Monster Truck Tour were built from scratch by the very people driving them. And it’s not just a matter of putting parts together. Several of the teams have taken the initiative in toolmaking to design new, cutting-edge technology from scratch.

“My favorite thing about the Toughest Monster Truck Tour is that I get so engrossed in keeping track of the points standings during the event – who is winning, who is losing and who just crashed – that for a brief moment in time, it seems like the most important sporting event I have ever attended,” said fan David Issacs.

Teams competing at the Toughest Monster Truck Tour at Budweiser Events Center on August 13 and 14 include:

• Bigfoot , the King of the Monster Trucks, and the team that started it all will be driven by Daron Schnell of St. Louis, Missouri.
• DIRT CREW , “the Flying Dump Truck,” owned and driven by Jerry Beck of Lafayette, Indiana. Beck operates his own construction business, so when he decided to get into monster trucks, the idea to create a monster dump truck was too good to pass up.
• Quad Chaos , a larger-than-life ATV-themed monster truck will be driven by Bailey Shea, who spent most of her teens racing ATVs. Shea started her monster truck career driving Scooby-Doo on the Monster Jam Tour until finding the massive pink Quad Chaos truck to be a more perfect fit.
• Building and racing monster trucks is often a family affair, as it is for these next two competitors. After watching and helping their father on the monster truck circuit, they set out on their own and have become known as some of the hardest charging drivers in the business. Paul Jensen in KAMIKAZE and Michael Christensen in VENDETTA will certainly be contenders to take home a Toughest Monster Truck title.
• Rounding out the lineup of competitors is a man who is never afraid to push his truck to (and often past) its limits in the quest for victory. Missouri’s Tim Jones calls his willingness to break his truck, fix it, and do it all over again, his TWISTED ADDICTION , the inspiration for the name of his monster machine.

For the motorcycle fans, Freestyle Motocross’s high-flying tricks and stunts will also be featured.

Fans are invited to come early and walk on the track, see the trucks up close and take photos at the Pit Party. Pit Passes are $5 at all points of purchase or free at participating Les Schwab Tire Center locations.

The Toughest Monster Truck Tour returns to  The Dow Event Center on  March 4 & 5 ! The Toughest Monster Truck Tour begins at 7:30 p.m. on March 4. March 5 has two events at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The Pit Party is 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. before the March 4 event and from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. before the March 5 matinee event (at 1 p.m.) and from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. before the March 5 evening event (at 7:30 p.m.).

“We are beyond excited to bring this event back to Mid-Michigan, especially as it will feature the King of the Monster Trucks, the truck that started it all —  Bigfoot , but also several other premier trucks including the world’s largest dump truck  Dirt Crew and the world’s largest ATV  Quad Chaos just to name a few,” event promoter Kelly Hess Goldman said. “The Toughest Monster Truck Tour event features larger obstacles in the form of oversized dirt jumps with old-school crush cars incorporated into the all-dirt track than most other indoor monster truck events.”

Improvements Coming To The Dow Event Center Parking Ramp

To improve your entertainment experience, The Dow Event Center is in the process of renovating its parking structure across from venue. These capital improvements include repairing and replacing the elevators and lighting, and performing structural upgrades to the parking ramp.

While this is in progress, parking will be available at the following locations:

• 400 lot across from The Dow Event Center, 400 Johnson
• Delta College Lot, corner of Jefferson and Johnson, .1 miles, 3 minute walk

The promoter of the April 2nd Toughest Monter Truck Tour event at Rupp Arena has made the decision to change the start time from the originally scheduled 7pm to the new start time of 2pm. Fans who already have tickets don't need to do anything other than to remember that event event now begins at 2pm. The Pit Party will now start at 11:30am and run until 1pm. 

April 2nd,  the Toughest Monster Truck Tour  is coming  to Rupp Arena  for the first time ever.  Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday, October 29 at 10am and ALL tickets are $5 off and include a FREE Pit Pass (a $15 value) through November 15.  

The line-up includes Bigfoot, Quad Chaos, Dirt Crew and several more. Plus, the high-flying tricks and stunts of the daredevil Freestyle Motocross team will also be featured.

To celebrate the return of monster trucks to Rupp Arena, ALL Toughest Monster Truck Tour tickets will be  $5 OFF and ALL tickets purchased will come with a FREE pit pass, regardless of price level  during the Early Bird Offer from October 29-November 15 with no special code needed during the Early Bird.   

The Pit Pass gets fans in early to walk on the dirt track, see the trucks up close, get autographs from the drivers and take photos.  After November 15, pit passes can be purchased for $15.

The Pre-Sale and Early Bird deal is the deepest discount that will be available.

The Toughest Monster Truck Tour returns to the CAJUNDOME March 18 & 19! The Toughest Monster Truck Tour has several of the nation’s best monster trucks including the Original Monster Truck Bigfoot, the monster-sized dump truck Dirt Crew, the world’s biggest ATV Quad Chaos and more, plus Freestyle Motocross!

Six monster trucks will compete on an all-dirt track in the wheelie, racing and freestyle competitions to see who will be named the Toughest Monster Truck.  The truck line-up will be:

• Bigfoot driven by Brandon Budd
• Dirt Crew driven by Jerry Beck
• Quad Chaos driven by Bailey Shea
• Kamikaze driven by Zach Jensen
• Jurassic Attack driven by Dalton Widner
• Tailgator driven by Tim Jones

• Children under the age of 2 years old are free.

Clear Bag Policy

NEW CLEAR BAG POLICY FOR CAJUNDOME & CONVENTION CENTER EVENTS

Each ticket holder, including children, may carry one approved clear bag, such as a one-gallon storage bag, plus a small purse.

The following bags will be permitted inside the CAJUNDOME & Convention Center and are subject to search.

• Clear plastic bag that does not exceed 12” by 6” by 12”.
• Clutch or small purse, with or without a strap, that does not exceed 6.5” by 4.5”.
• Equipment bag for necessary medical items.
• Diaper bag for age-appropriate children accompanied by an adult.

Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to: large purses, duffle bags, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, mesh bags, or any bag larger than the permissible size 12" x 12" x 6". Tinted or printed-pattern plastic bags are not clear, so they will not be permitted.

Pit Party Information

The Pit Pass includes early admission into the venue for fans to walk around on the dirt track, see the trucks up close, request driver autographs and take photos with the monster trucks and drivers.  Pit passes can be purchased at the Box Office for only $10. Regular event ticket required for entry into Pit Party.
