GloRilla Arrested for DUI in Georgia: Report

Trending on billboard.

The tour kicks off on October 4 in Lexington, Ky., before making its way through cities like Nashville, Tempe and Orlando before wrapping up on October 25 in Las Vegas. While Carter will be honoring his Backstreet Boys pop roots, fans can also expect to see a new side of the singer.

“I’m going to go out with a band, and I play guitar. I’m going to be playing drums throughout the show. So, it has a bit more creative personal expression and is a little bit more organic, I guess you could say,” he says of how his tour differs from a BSB run, before sharing the “surprising” songs he hopes to add into the setlist. “There’s no walls for me when it comes to music,” Carter says with a laugh. “One of the songs I really want to do is Simple Mind’s ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’ from The Breakfast Club and another one I want to do is Bon Jovi’s ‘Wanted Dead or Alive.’ I’m actually going to do some rap because I grew up listening to rap music. I’m gonna tear up some rap and do my own East Coast versus West Coast!”

Carter’s Who I Am tour comes at a particularly poignant time in the superstar’s life. In November, his younger brother and fellow pop star Aaron Carter died at age 34 after he drowned in the bathtub at his home in Lancaster, Calif., after inhaling difluoroethane and taking alprazolam. His cause of death was deemed accidental .

“It’s been a very rough year for me and my family and losing my brother is still something that I’m processing,” Nick shares. Following Aaron’s death, Nick and his sister Angel launched a donation fund in their late brother’s memory to benefit On Our Sleeves , which advocates to break the stigma surrounding mental health and provides children’s mental health resources to families and teachers nationwide.

“You try to find ways to cope with the things that are being thrown at you in life. Leaning into anything philanthropic or charitable, it makes it about something bigger than yourself,” Nick says of his past few months. “When my sister and I [launched the donation fund], I think that was the only way we were able to process what we’ve been going through. It’s become about how can we turn what we’ve been feeling into something that can hopefully help somebody else, and then we can learn from it and then somebody else can learn from it.”

“I love my brother. He’s my baby brother and I love him. Losing him, it’s been really hard,” he adds, before taking time to offer some advice for those also going through the loss of a loved one. “You just have to take life as it comes and learn from it and, most importantly, just know that you’re not alone.”

As for now, Nick says that the Who I Am tour has provided a much welcomed beam of light in a particularly tumultuous year. “I’m a musician. I’m an artist. I’m a performer, but I’m also a human first,” he explains. “Music is therapeutic to me and we all find ways to manage the things that we’re going through in life. Getting out there and performing for fans and just being who I am — it’ll help me during this this time.”

I'm a fan of yours vs your fan

Haven't found any evidence that there is any meaning difference I'm a fan of yours vs your fan Jimmy Fallon in his interview with Emma Watson says the first version and to my ears it sounds less plain then simply saying "I'm your fan". Also, I vaguely remember something like: the first way of saying may be more evocative of the fact that there are other people in this category of "fan". Btw, when two friends talk I don't think they would refer to themselves as "I'm a friend of yours" -- like in -- how could you accuse me of that -- I'm your friend. (rather then the other variant) Can you help map out this issue?

lingobingo

As you imply, I’m your fan would be a strange thing to say, as it implies I’m your only fan. I’m a big fan of [someone or something] = I really like [them or it] I’m a fan of yours/hers = I’m one of your/her [many] fans I would never do that. I’m your friend = I’m your friend [not your enemy!]

Nick Carter Takes Fans on a Journey Through the ’80s with his ‘Who I Am’ Tour

Nick Carter (Photo credit: Brian Doherty)

Nick Carter is on the road solo for his “Who I Am” Tour, a show that carries fans through a personal journey with recognizable songs from the ’80s and early ’90s, Backstreet Boys hits, and tracks from Carter’s solo albums.

I recently attended the show at the Wilson Center in Wilmington, NC, just one of many stops in the “Who I Am” Tour, and it was one heck of a good time. Every performance was energetic and felt like a love letter to fans just as much as it showcased Carter’s own journey.

He even talked quite a bit about how much it meant to connect with fans in such a personal way.

The concept behind the show itself is brilliant. It incorporates music from the year he was born up until the time he first met the Backstreet Boys in the early ’90s, along with the Backstreet Boys songs and solo tracks. It traces his entire life and the 30 years he’s been a performer.

Doing this kept the audience excited throughout the show, and mixing in the kinds of songs from the ’80s and early ’90s that everyone could sing along to was a great way for Carter to showcase his many talents.

There was plenty of singing and dancing, and he also played guitar along with a full band, showing he could rock just as much as he could sing a tender love ballad. There were even a few costume changes.

Carter began the show with “Larger than Life” by the Backstreet Boys , then followed with familiar ’80s covers “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” and, after throwing on a pair of sunglasses, “Sunglasses at Night.” Every cover felt organic and natural, with Carter throwing himself soulfully into every performance.

The singer stated ahead of the tour that one of his goals was to create new memories with fans, and he certainly did that during this show. He also previewed that there would be a few surprises , and well, he wasn’t kidding.

Perhaps one of the most surprising moments of the night was when Carter belted out “You Shook Me All Night Long,” by AC/DC , genuinely capturing the raspy, high-pitched singing style of Brian Johnson.  As I said, Carter was really showing off his many talents!

Other songs included “Get Over Me” from his third solo album, All American , “With or Without You” by U2, “Wanted Dead or Alive” by Bon Jovi, and “I Want it That Way” by the Backstreet Boys , among others.

For a few songs, he offered personal feelings and anecdotes.

Before singing Don Henley’s “Dirty Laundry,” for example, he asked the audience to listen carefully to the lyrics. “Sometimes you wanna say something, but you just can’t say it, but you can say it through a song,” Carter said.

And before performing “Sharp Dressed Man,” he described his first time seeing ZZ Top on TV. He was a young boy watching the MTV Music Awards. “These three guys in these really long beards came on,” he recalled, “And I think they scared the entire stage.”

As part of a segment dedicated entirely to love songs, Carter sang “Right Here Waiting” by Richard Marx. He then shared that he performed a Richard Marx song for his audition to be in the Backstreet Boys , which got him the gig. So, this was a bit of an ode to Marx.

Carter’s most emotional moment of the night was his performance of one of “Hurts to Love You,” a single released early this year, a few months after the death of his brother, Aaron Carter.

“As time has gone by and we’ve gone through life together, and things have happened to all of us, we share those stories together,” Carter said. “Through music, you hear other peoples’ stories as well. And this song right here is a very important song that I have written recently. So I hope you like it.”

His performance of this song was deeply powerful and heartfelt, with the song itself being full of raw emotion.

Carter also performed an upcoming single, “Made for Us,” and his most recently released single, “Superman,” which fans were already more than capable of singing along to.

However, one of the best fan moments was at the end of the night, when Carter performed “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).”

It was not only a fun and energetic way to end the night, but it was one that truly got the audience involved. The entire crowd was able to do the fan chant at the beginning of the song, and the feeling in the room was one of real camaraderie.

The evening was truly unforgettable. And even though Carter shared the history of his 30 years performing, in a lot of ways, it feels like the singer is just getting started.

Review: Nick Carter’s “Who I Am” Tour (Karah’s Version)

Review: Nick Carter’s “Who I Am” Tour (Karah’s Version)

Seeing Nick Carter solo in concert is one of my favorite things. There is nothing like hearing him belt out lyrics to songs that have touched me.

My first solo Nick Carter concert was his first solo concert back in October 2002 in Tampa, Florida. I have seen every solo tour he has done multiple times, so I knew I would be going when he announced the “Who I Am” tour.

This tour was different. He wasn’t going to be singing, just his solo material. He would be covering songs that he grew up on, that we grew up on. Being the same age as Nick, we like many of the same things, which could be one of our connections.

See, Nick wanted to do this tour for people to remember who he is. People have tried to tear him down with lawsuits, lies, and more, but he has continued to stand tall through it all and will come out stronger on the other side.

This tour was the first step in doing that.

While it was a small first leg of the tour across mostly the north and southeast United States (with two shows in Canada just across the country line), it served its purpose.

Those who didn’t remember certainly remember who Nick Carter is.

Soundcheck & VIP

i am tour fan

The first show on this tour for me was Wilmington, North Carolina. I’d never been there, but it would be a special show. My best friend from high school would be seeing and meeting Nick for the first time.

Soundcheck is one of my favorite parts of the VIP experience, so I was glad it returned. I have this habit of always asking questions. Maybe it’s the former journalist in me. It’s an ongoing joke with Nick because he knows I will ask something. He’s even told me before that he expects it out of me.

In Wilmington, I asked how his songwriting had matured or changed since he started writing songs with the Backstreet Boys up to his most recent piece, “Made For Us.”

In Boston, I asked if he could star in any ’80s movie, what would it be? Then gave him my suggestions which ended up with me telling him he’s hot.

In Bethesda, I asked about his comment on rerecording “Now or Never,” and if he did, would he be like Taylor and add songs that didn’t make the album, such as “Not Like You,” a song that he performed on his “Now or Never” tour, but never released a real recorded version of. He remembered the music to my amazement and was eager to get this done.

Soundcheck is just fun because not only do we get to hear him sing songs that aren’t in the show, such as my fave, “Lovesong” by The Cure, which I told him he should perform back at ’90s Con, and even “White Wedding,” which has its backstory that I can’t write about on this blog.

It’s also another way to connect with an artist. For example, in Boston, Nick walked out on stage, looked at me, and said, “Hey Karaaaah,” and shocked me a little. I wasn’t expecting that.

i am tour fan

Opening Acts

Nick is known for having opening acts for his shows, and “Who I Am” was no different. Although this may have been the best set of opening acts he has ever had for a tour.

Caldwell, a country/pop/rock artist who is being produced by Nick’s producer Vic “Billboardkiller” Martin, was on the entire tour and made a hit with the audiences.

On the first leg, American Idol winner Maddie Poppe performed acoustically. She performed original songs and explained to the audience what each was about. She also had a wicked sense of humor.

On the tour’s second leg, Carly Waddell, who was on Season 19 of “The Bachelor” and Season 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” performed acoustically. She stood out among the opening acts with a mix of her music and covers. One of the highlights was her merge of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s hit “It’s Your Love” with Taylor Swift’s “Tim McGraw.” Can you say perfection?

As I started this post, seeing solo Nick is my favorite thing besides cats in clothes and extra cheese on pizza.

i am tour fan

The music Nick picked to perform couldn’t have been more perfect, not only because they are songs I love but because they showcased his voice. From the low tones of “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” to hitting the high notes on “19 in ’99” to the raspy, rock feel of “You Shook Me All Night Long,” Nick showcased his voice perfectly, just like us fans have known he could do forever.

Besides performing some of my favorite ’80s songs, he performed my top two favorite Backstreet Boys songs – “Just Want You To Know” and “Shape of My Heart.” That made this fangirl extremely happy.

For the last two shows I saw, Boston and Bethesda, he added in rock versions of “Show Me The Meaning (Of Being Lonely)” and “We’ve Got It Goin’ On,” which, let’s face it, rocked. There’s nothing the man can do that I would hate, but those new versions are excellent.

The one thing I appreciated on this tour was that Nick performed more songs from “Now or Never.” It’s an album that, in the past, he seemed as if he was a bit embarrassed by, but it’s a work of art. Now he’s performing songs such as “Do I Have To Cry For You?,” “Help Me,” “Blow Your Mind,” and even music that he performed on the “Now or Never” tour – “Just What I Needed.” It takes me back to when we were younger.

One of the highlights of the show was when Nick performed some of his new songs, such as “80s Movie,” which is perfect for this tour, “Hurts To Love You,” and “Superman.” But let’s face it, the highlight is really “Made For Us,” a song that Nick says is for the fans. Some of the lyrics sound a little naughty, and I even pointed that out to Nick a few months back when he first posted a clip of the song, and he sang the lyrics to me, face to face. I could have died.

But “Hurts to Love You,” especially the performance in Bethesda, was possibly the most passionate that I have ever seen Nick sing a song. He put his entire heart and soul into it and you could tell he was feeling the lyrics. The first time I heard him perform it, in Wilmington, I was in tears. Aaron died two weeks after my Mom, so a lot of what Nick has been feeling, I’ve been feeling at the same time. And I could feel that in that performance.

Another highlight? Having a real band. I miss the days when the Backstreet Boys had a backing band, so Nick’s band on stage with him makes him perform better. Don’t get me wrong, I love acoustic Nick, but having a band brings something unique to Nick. He has people to play off of.

The “Who I Am” tour is Nick Carter’s best solo tour to date. And I’m not saying that because everything he does is perfect. It’s just that this tour is pure Nick from top to bottom – from the songs to outfits to the excitement he brings to songs that we’ve heard our entire lives.

Yes, he could sing the phone book and sound perfect, but this tour is unique. He’s one of the few artists that actually cares about fans, what they think, how they are feeling about what he is doing, and likes to be in touch with them. In my life, I’ve loved a lot of artists and he is one, just like Taylor Swift, that stays in contact with fans as if they are a member of the family.

And he’s always been like that – from his old school Nick’s Corner videos to his livestreams during COVID. This tour is an extension of that. It wasn’t about selling out arenas or being flashy. This tour was about an artist who loves to perform.

And that’s who Nick is.

Luke Combs crushes 2024 stadium concert tour kickoff at Milwaukee's American Family Field

i am tour fan

Luke Combs took to the stage in Milwaukee Friday like a bear roaring out of hibernation.

"First show back in five months — here we go," the country superstar cheered after the third song for the kickoff of his "Growin' Up and Gettin' Old Tour" at American Family Field. The tour's second show, for the only the second time in the city's stadium concert history, includes another night at the Milwaukee Brewers' ballpark Saturday.

Combs clearly relished being back in tour mode, roaming all over the stage and runways, crooning and belting until his face turned heirloom-tomato red for show starters "Must've Never Met You," "She Got the Best of Me" and "Lovin' On You" — the latter two among 13 No. 1 Billboard Country Airplay chart-toppers that made Friday's 27-song setlist.

But I'd wager there were a whole lot of Combs fans in Milwaukee Friday who were more excited for this show than he was.

More: What you should know about parking at Luke Combs' American Family Field shows in Milwaukee

The full-volume singalongs were Exhibit A in that argument, but some historical context is important.

Milwaukee is spoiled by the sheer volume of country A-listers who routinely come to town (Dan + Shay were here last week, and Tim McGraw is going to be here next week). Combs, too, came through early in his career for three shows at the Rave and the late Northern Lights Theater; he also opened for Blake Shelton at Summerfest in 2018 and made a Farm Aid appearance at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in 2019.

But that's it. As his trophy case filled up, as the hits kept coming, as he moved on up to stadium headliner status, Combs — very much still at the top of the A-list with a leading eight ACM Award nominations announced this week — had yet to do a major Milwaukee headlining show.

Until this weekend, when he rewarded Milwaukee fans' patience with an impassioned, hits-loaded show and a couple of custom nods to the city — from the blue Brewers ballcap that served as the signature piece of his humble concert ensemble to the lyrical swaps of "Milwaukee" into a handful of songs. That didn't quite work as a sub for Panama as he sang about deep sea fishing for "When It Rains It Pours" Friday — but the cheering crowd made it clear the gesture was appreciated.

And the Milwaukee fans adored the beer-centric portion of Friday's program. Fans got to vote for one of three songs via text to make the setlist Friday, and "Beer Can" beat out "Don't Tempt Me" and "Memories Are Made Of." He paid his respects to hometown favorite Miller Brewing — possibly displeasing any American Family Insurance execs in the crowd when he suggested he still thought of the Milwaukee Brewers stadium as Miller Park — and shotgunned a can of Miller Lite during "1, 2 Many."

And of all the big hits Combs played Friday night, "Beer Never Broke My Heart" had one of the most heartfelt singalongs.

That, and his cover of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car." The biggest hit of his career, Combs' take is pretty straightforward, letting Chapman's beautiful lyrics and melodies lead the way. But there's still clearly something special about his version, isn't there?

It's the same thing, Friday's show indicated, that has made Combs' such a superstar.

As a songwriter, as a storyteller, he's as polished as any of his peers in heavy rotation on country radio. But there's more soul and vulnerability in his voice, with just a touch of grit, than most of his centrist country star contemporaries.

So Combs, a back-to-back CMA Awards Entertainer of the Year recipient, was as expected a likable, stadium-electrifying party host.

But his ability to make the stadium filled with 41,000 to 44,000 feel small, to make songs feel personal in that space, that was his greatest strength Friday — whether he was crooning "This One's for You" alone on electric guitar while his seven-piece band took a breather, or tenderly belting "Better Together" accompanied by pretty melodies on a piano.

But the most intimate and moving stretch of the night included "Love You Anyway," "Forever After All" and "Beautiful Crazy," which Combs said were inspired by his wife Nicole Hocking, who was in attendance Friday. Combs prefaced the song singing her praises, including how she helped him with his daily anxieties — and expressed remorse for missing the birth of their second son last year while he was on tour in Australia. Calling it the best and worst day of his life, Combs choked up, took a beat, and wiped tears from his eyes. And then he poured all the emotion, all the gratitude that he felt in that highly vulnerable moment into those songs.

As the show hit the hour-and-50-minute mark Friday, and Combs more than earned the right to head backstage for some family time, he struggled to peel himself away from the stage.

Nine minutes after Combs sang the final lyrics of the night's final song, "The Kind of Love We Make," the seats across the stadium were largely empty. But the pit was still full of fans, and Combs was still on that stage, signing autograph after autograph after autograph.

Cody Jinks, Charles Wesley Godwin and the Wilder Blue opened Friday night's Luke Combs concert

Cody Jinks was a standout at the Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival in Veterans Park last summer , fueled by a hellbent desire to win over the crowd as the event’s lone country act. As the primary opener Friday at a big ol' country show, that kind of pressure was off. And, consequently, Jinks’ fire didn’t burn as brightly, despite solid renditions of tunes like “Fast Hand” and “Mamma Song” aided by a honky-tonk-tuned band.

Immediately winning points with a customized Brew Crew jersey, singer-songwriter Charles Wesley Godwin turned out to be the most animated of Friday's openers, storming the catwalk and banging his head for “Hardwood Floors.” But even in “stadium mode,” Godwin brought intimacy and tenderness to tearjerkers like “Miner Imperfections,” which he dedicated to his father. Godwin may not be at the level of his good friend Zach Bryan yet ( who he opened for at Summerfest last year ), with stadiums full of people mesmerized by every word, but Friday’s set suggested it could be in the cards. Next up for Godwin in Milwaukee: a headlining set at Summerfest’s Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard June 28, which could prove to be too small a stage for his fanbase.

Alt-country act the Wilder Blue started off the night with a gentle but effective rendition of the national anthem, then kept things mellow for Eagles cover “Seven Bridges Road” and “I’m Your Man,” a new single out Friday that, played live, was more blue-cool than red-hot swagger. The polite but understandably sleepy crowd would have to wait for something, well, wilder.

More: How Milwaukee became a must-play market for country music

6 takeaways from Luke Combs' Milwaukee concert Friday

  • At the risk of ruining this for everyone catching a concert at American Family Field in the future (including myself): I once again followed Journal Sentinel reporter Claire Reid's traffic-avoiding tips and drove into the stadium lots from Blue Mound Road. I first hit the brakes at 5:28 p.m., and I was parked by 5:41 p.m. The Journal Sentinel splurged on premium parking this time out, so that cut down on my parking time, but I still was shocked at how quickly I got in. But getting out, there's really nothing drivers can do to avoid that headache. People started filing out in large numbers around 10:50 p.m., but the drive out of the lots around me didn't really clear up until about 12:10 a.m.
  • A friend texted me a photo from his seats at Friday's show — with a massive, suspended speaker stack blocking a good portion of the stage, even though his tickets weren't classified as "obstructed view." He debated with customer service to no avail and embraced a positive attitude, and I gathered he was still able to see Combs on the screens clearly and when he'd walk the stage. But given the complications getting to the show and the cost, it's too bad my friend and others seated near him had to deal with that.
  • Beyond "Fast Car," there were other covers Friday, including a stirring take of Ed Sheeran's "Dive," a rendition of Brooks & Dunn's "Brand New Man," and a medley of three songs with a few of Combs' bandmates taking lead vocals: Shania Twain's "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?," Train's "Drops of Jupiter" and Dierks Bentley's "What Was I Thinkin'?"
  • Combs covered a whole lot of hits, but not every one of his Billboard Country Airplay chart-toppers made the setlist. Left out Friday: "Even Though I'm Leaving," "Does to Me" and "Doin' This." But it was worth cutting one of those to make sure he added unreleased fatherly love song "The Man He Sees in Me" Friday.
  • A head's up: Combs’ openers Friday won’t be the same openers Saturday. Expect a more country radio vibe with (in order of appearance) Colby Acuff, Drew Parker, Mitchell Tenpenny and Jordan Davis. And if you get to the lots by 3 p.m., you can see two more acts — Ryan Larkins and Graham Barham — at the Third Base Plaza at American Family Field.
  • Most interesting conversation from the pit: A woman near the stage yelled at a security guard, “Next time I have to pee you’re coming with. That was (expletive) brutal coming back in here.” Understandably, the security guard looked horrified.

Ina Garten said she was up until 3 a.m. to buy tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Paris

Garten said she is “totally a fan” of swift while chatting with people in anticipation of her memoir release, by joy saha.

In conversation with People about the upcoming Oct. 1 release of her memoir “Be Ready When the Luck Happens,” Ina Garten revealed that she’s a devoted Swiftie. So much so that the “Barefoot Contessa” star sacrificed sleep to purchase tickets to see Swift in concert next month.

“I'm going to be in Paris in May, and I thought, ‘Wait a minute, isn't she going to be in Paris in May?’” Garten said. “At 3:00 in the morning, I was online, seeing if I could get two good tickets, and I did.” She confirmed that she is indeed going to go see the Eras Tour in Paris, not with her husband Jeffrey Garten, but instead with “a very good friend” who is local to the area.

“Now I'm trying to figure out what I can wear that's sparkly,” Garten continued, speaking about her outfit for the concert.

Garten said she is “totally a fan” of Swift and first met the pop star a decade ago. “I met Taylor actually when Food Network Magazine asked rock stars 10 years ago who their favorite Food Network people were, and Taylor chose me,” Garten recalled. “So she came for a photo shoot for the day, and then we saw each other for a while afterwards. She invited me to lunch and she came back for lunch one day in East Hampton. I just so admire her.”

Garten also saw Swift during her 1989 world tour in support of the singer’s studio album of the same name: “She invited us to come to the party afterwards, and we just had an incredibly wonderful time.”

Swift is also a huge fan of Garten. In October 2022, Swift celebrated the 20th anniversary of Garten's “Barefoot Contessa.” Swift hailed Garten as a “magnificent woman” who “changed my perspective on cooking and reframed it as something relaxing.”

What to Look For at The Chevron Championship This Week

Players to watch: 2024 chevron championship.

i am tour fan

Tournament week kicks off Tuesday with Official Pro-Am; practice rounds on Wednesday; competition begins Thursday

THE WOODLANDS, Texas (April 16, 2024) –  The first major of the season for the LPGA Tour is finally here, as  The Chevron Championship  gets underway this week at The Club at Carlton Woods. Featuring a star-studded field of the best golfers on the planet and an updated Jack Nicklaus-designed course, the Chevron promises to deliver unforgettable thrills, action and drama throughout the weekend.

From April 17-21, the best female golfers on the planet will come together north of Houston to vie for the chance to become a major champion or, for a few, add another major championship to their résumé. Fans can purchase tickets to The Chevron Championship or view details on ticket options at  SeatGeek.com . Adult general admission tickets start at $25, and kids age 17 and under are free with an adult ticket.

The field is headlined by the brightest stars in golf, including the red-hot Rolex Rankings No. 1  Nelly Korda , who enters The Chevron on a four-tournament winning streak, and LPGA icon  Lydia Ko , who could secure her place in the LPGA Hall of Fame with a win this weekend. Defending Chevron champion and Rolex Rankings No. 2  Lilia Vu  isn’t ready to relinquish her hold on the Dinah Shore Trophy yet, either.

The players will take the course on Wednesday for practice rounds, which are open to spectators and offer the opportunity to watch the professionals up close in a more relaxed setting. Beginning Thursday, it’s all business as the tournament officially gets underway.

There are  a wide range of activities  for spectators of all ages to enjoy outside the ropes, as well. From autographs and selfies with the players, to the opportunity to design (and potentially win) your own golf shoes, to a STEM lab where guests can create prototype equipment, to the chance to play the same course as the pros in a swing simulator, there truly is something for everyone.

The tournament will also raise money for worthy causes in a variety of ways throughout the weekend. Through the Chevron Challenge, Chevron will donate $10,000 for every birdie made on the 17th hole all weekend to a number of charitable organizations. For any hole-in-ones scored on the par-3 hole, Chevron will donate $1 million to the pool.

Spectators can support worthy charities through the Chip for Charity, where they can take a chip shot toward the floating Texas-shaped green in the middle of the lake with the proceeds going to a different local charity each day. The merchandise store will also feature a pair of clothing lines, the Dream Big Collection and the Trophy Collection, which support the LPGA’s efforts to grow the game.

Daily and weekly  General Admission  tickets start at just $25 and include access to tournament grounds, various open seating options across the course and food and beverage options available for purchase at concessions stands. Juniors age 17 and under are free with an adult ticket.

Fans can enjoy the taste of an upgraded hospitality experience at the  St. Luke’s Health Pavilion , where guests will receive an upgraded experience that features all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverages, premium views, access to upgraded restroom facilities and more. Alcoholic beverages are available for those over 21 through four redeemable coupons, included with ticket purchase. A portion of the proceeds from St. Luke's Health Pavilion tickets will benefit a local charity.

Fan Outcry Against Tiger Woods to Cease as Alleged Secret Note Buddy Makes Unexpected Revelation

i am tour fan

The 2024 Masters week was a rollercoaster for Tiger Woods . It had everything from setting new records and hoping to win another major to carding the worst scores of his career. Despite the turbulence, he called it a “good week.” And a rollercoaster? That’s precisely how Low Amateur Neal Shipley would describe his week, starting it at a Waffle House and ending it with a 1-over on Sunday, 4 shots better than his 48-year-old playing mate. But to cap off the remarkable week, Shipley fielded an uncomfortable question.

“On a fairway, [Woods] wrote down something and handed you a note. What was that about?” asked a reporter. Visibly confused, Shipley looked around and replied,  “No, that didn’t happen.” Per Augusta National Rules, players aren’t allowed to take advice from or touch other competitors’ equipment. That alleged secret note may not have been all it was made out to be. But something else that Shipley revealed was more than enough to silence Woods’ critics.

Heading into the first major of the year, there was incessant chatter on social media that Woods was simply coming on the greens for fun without any serious preparation. The noise grew only louder yesterday, after his worst round at the Masters . Woods shot 10-over 82 on the Moving Day, dotted with 8 bogeys and 2 double-bogeys. However, Neal Shipley offered a glimpse into Woods’ preparation – 3.45 AM alarm. Practice rounds. Swing analysis with Charlie Woods . Just some of what the former World No. 1 went through ahead of the final round.

Following the final round, the 23-year-old said, “ Certainly rooting for [Tiger Woods] and rooting for good golf shots. He was awesome. Wish him nothing but the best. I really appreciate all the work that he does to keep his body ready to come out here. He told me that he woke up at 3:45 this morning just to get ready for the day, which is—I got about three hours more sleep than him. ”

Given Woods’ performance on the last two days – leaving Augusta with a 16-over 304 – some people in the golf community even called for this retirement. Besides his subpar score, it was the fact that he was seemingly struggling to walk owing to all his ailments in the recent past. On Friday, Woods even had an adhesive pain patch on his back and was spotted rubbing an Icy Hot-like balm on his torso.

The five-time Masters champion played 23 holes in a long Friday. Acknowledging the amount of effort the 48-year-old put in, Shipley added, “He’s  really grinding and making a big commitment to be out here for everyone. It’s awesome to see the patrons really appreciative of him and really enjoy having him out here .” From what the 23-year-old said and the fact that Woods completed all 4 rounds, fan sentiment did change for the better as the Masters concluded.

Tiger Woods may have had his worst Masters, but he shouldn’t be disappointed

The 2024 Masters was the first time since the 2023 Hero World Challenge that Tiger Woods finished all four rounds. He may have carded his worst score at Augusta, walking away with a 16-over 304. But at the end of the day, most were just glad he made it through. One fan wrote,  “Tiger played the entire 72. Score doesn’t matter. What an incredible accomplishment.”

With the injuries and operations he’s had to nurse for quite some time now, this was the first time he took to the course after withdrawing from the Genesis Invitational earlier this year. That, coupled with concerns about him having to walk the entire hilly Augusta course, everyone was impressed that he achieved it. “Tiger Woods finished four rounds of golf at Augusta National. That alone is incredible in 2024,” wrote one.

Bringing up a striking stat about Woods, another fan expressed,  “Tiger completes four rounds at a major for just the second time since … the 2020 November Masters (which feels like it was 25 years ago).” There’s no denying that his return to Augusta didn’t go how he would’ve wanted it to. Alluding to this, an X user wrote, “Tiger Woods has to be disappointed in his performance, but he shouldn’t be. His body survived 4 rounds of golf, he had some good moments here & there. The precision he had at his peak will start to show the more he plays & consistency will come w/ conditioning.”

As Woods continues working on his game to regain his lost form, one fan only focused on the positive. “No matter how good or bad of a day it is on the course, there’s nothing like watching Tiger Woods play golf.” What were your thoughts on the 48-year-old’s Augusta outing?

    1. "I'm a fan of yours" sounds most natural. "I'm your fan" is grammatically correct and understandable, but makes it sound like they have only one fan (and it's you). As AmateurDotCounter noted, "I'm your biggest fan" is a set phrase that is an exception, but it's an exception because logically there can be only one "biggest fan".

I'm your friend = I'm your friend [not your enemy!] Last edited: Feb 3 ...
