On a 12-day Gujarat Wildlife Tour Package with Asiatic Lions from Mumbai, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Gujarat is known for its diverse wildlife and this tour package allowed me to explore the various national parks and sanctuaries in the state. The tour started from Mumbai, where I was picked up from the airport by a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, providing us with interesting facts about Gujarat and its wildlife during the long drive to our first destination, Gir National Park. Gir National Park is the only place in the world where you can spot the majestic Asiatic lions in their natural habitat. We were fortunate enough to see a pride of lions lounging in the grassland, just a few feet away from our jeep. It was an exhilarating experience to see these rare and endangered species up close. Next, we visited the Velavadar National Park, which is home to the blackbuck antelope, Indian wolves, and a variety of bird species. The park is known for its large population of blackbucks, and I was lucky enough to witness their graceful movements and beautiful coat patterns in person. Other highlights of the tour included a visit to the Little Rann of Kutch, where we saw the endangered Indian wild ass, and the Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary, which is a paradise for birdwatchers. We also had the chance to go on a jeep safari in the Banni Grasslands and see the unique wildlife and landscapes of this region. Apart from the wildlife, this tour also included visits to historical and cultural sites such as the Sabarmati Ashram and the Rani Ki Vav stepwell. The accommodation provided during the tour was comfortable and the food was delicious, giving us a taste of the local cuisine. Overall, this 12-day Gujarat Wildlife Tour Package with Asiatic Lions from Mumbai was a well-organized and unforgettable experience. Day 01: Ahmedabad - Bhavnagar

Day 02: bhavnagar - palitana - diu.

Morning you will depart for Palitana by surface approx. 70 kms /2 hrs. On your arrival you visit the famous pilgrim site - PALITANA. Visit the Jain Temples situated on top of the Shetrunjaya hill. One has to climb 3000 steps to visit these 900 year old temples. Later proceed to Diu by surface approx. approx. 140 kms / 3 hrs. On your arrival in Diu you will check in at your hotel. Evening will be at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: In Diu

Today you will be at leisure for the full day or you can enjoy the beaches, churches and Portuguese Fort of Diu. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Diu - Sasangir

Early morning go for game viewing in the Gir National Park. Later proceed to Rajkot by surface approx. 90 kms / 2 hrs. Enroute we visit Junagadh famous for its 9thCentury Uparkot Fort &19thCentury Rang Mahal palace. Later proceed to Rajkot. On arrival in Rajkot you will check in at your hotel. Day 06: Rajkot ( Gondal) - Jamnagar

Information on Gujarat Tourism Corporation's achievements:

(a) Strengthening of Public Infrastructure:

Vadnagar: Approximately Rs. 100 crores of projects have been completed in Vadnagar, including development around Sharmishtha Talav, toilet blocks, theme parks, and Tanariri Garden. Additional works such as the Inspiration School, Transport Hub Plaza, etc., are ongoing with an estimated expenditure of Rs. 50 crores.

  Saputara Lake: Development work worth Rs. 25 crores has been carried out, including musical fountains, amphitheaters, adventure parks, boating jetties, etc., to provide complete facilities to tourists around Saputara Lake

Sasangir-Devaliya Park: Facilities including an interpretation center have been completed at Sasangir-Devaliya Park for Rs. 32 crores.

  Reconstruction and conservation of Uparkot Fort (Junagadh): Reconstruction and conservation work of Uparkot Fort in Junagadh is underway for Rs. 74 crores.

Nada Bet: Border tourism development work has been completed for Rs. 125 crores, including infrastructure development.

  Nal-Thol Lake: Development work for bird sanctuaries at Nal and Thol lakes has been carried out for Rs. 60 crores, including gates, toilet blocks, theme parks, nature trails, etc.

  Mokarsagar (Porbandar): Infrastructure development worth Rs. 187.06 crores has been carried out at Mokarsagar, Porbandar, including Wetland Park, Community Zone, Keeping Ground, Sunset Point, etc.

Dholavira (Kutch): Infrastructure development worth Rs. 200 crores has been carried out at Dholavira, including roads, Main Jackson, Tents City, Craft Market, Food Court, Bhunga Resort, Amphitheater, etc.

Dhorado: Dhorado has been awarded the Best Tourism Village 2023 by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Various events and festivals are being organized with an expenditure of Rs. 40 crores.

Kadana Dam (Mahisagar): The primary development work for Kadana Dam in Mahisagar district is underway for Rs. 25 crores.

(b) Other Attractive Developments:

 Gujarat Tourism Corporation started a Tourism Information Center in Varanasi and Ayodhya in August 2023 to provide information about tourist places in Gujarat.

The Government of Gujarat plans to build a Gujarat Tourist Bhavan in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government will provide 6929.82 square meters of land for this purpose.

 Gujarat Tourism Corporation has organized two conferences in December, focusing on MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and adventure tourism, with an expenditure of Rs. 700 crores.

(c) Organization of Various Events:

Various events are organized throughout the year to promote local culture and showcase glimpses of culture to all age groups, including children and the elderly. These events and fairs are organized throughout the year to uphold local culture, including (1)the Kite Festival, (2) Navratri Festival, (3) Ran Utsav, and (4) International Kite Festival.

Even travel destinations host festivals and events to entertain travelers, including (1) the Monsoon Festival in Saputara, (2) Madhavpur Fair, (3) Gandhi Jayanti, (4) Megh Malhar Festival in Kevadiya, (5) Heritage Festival (including Adalaj Stepwell, Champaner, and Dholavira), and (6) the inclusion of Udavada Festival.

 With the support of district administration, various separate festivals and events are also organized, including (1) Tribal Day, (2) Dong Darbar, (3) Panch Mahotsav, and (4)Food Festiva

(d) Special Note:

 The number of tourists visiting Gujarat state was 152.2 million until November 2023, compared to 137.6 million in the previous year 2022.

According to the National Tourism Statistics 2021 report, Gujarat state was ranked 12th for foreign tourists and 9th for domestic tourists. Currently, due to the development of tourism in Gujarat, as per the National Tourism Statistics 2022 report,

Gujarat state has moved to the first position for foreign tourists and the fifth position for domestic tourists.

What is included?

According to the rule, only expenses related to travel made by rail, road, or air are covered under LTC. We provide the complete breakage of costs with an accepted layout which can be submitted to your office for an LTC claim.

Sightseeing:

The sightseeing costs i.e. vehicle charges are provided within a KM wise table for accurate pricing.

The table will mention the pricing that we provide for our sightseeing tours which should be either equal or lower to the standard cab costs to destinations in Andaman, defined properly by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration.

There are no additional costs added to it, so you can claim your LTC without any hassle.

To claim LTC, you need to have all transfers to the inter-islands with a Govt. Ferry.

The information about the ticket price timing and the distance will be included in our bill along with the official ferry ticket so you can submit it to your office.

Flight Tickets:

For flight tickets, the information about the itinerary along with the boarding pass needs to be submitted to the government for an easy claim. The provided ticket will be directly from the airline with accurate PNR number.

The maximum amount that can be refunded for flight tickets will be Rs. 25166/- for a one way trip.

‍ How to claim?

LTC for Port Blair and other islands in Andaman can be claimed by submitting the filled LTC form along with proof of travel to your HR or accounts department.

The claim needs to be a valid travel to the destination that you have mentioned in your flight tickets.

The proof of travel consists your traveling journey and other information which can be provided by the tour operator you have selected. Only verified operator registered with the Government can provide a valid one.

Does it cover my family?

Yes, all your family members can be covered in LTC, which includes:

• Children (up to a maximum of 2)

The only condition is that they need to be dependent on you. Moreover, other members of the family such as parents, brothers, and sisters can be added to the claim, only if they are dependent on you.

How agents in Andaman provide full refund under LTC 80?

As discussed earlier, some agents provide complete coverage of the trip under LTC, which is either a fraud or a false claim.

In some cases, we have seen that the agent manually edits the bill of the airline ticket to the maximum amount permissible (25166) and adjusts the price of the trip in it.
