TOM Cruise's daughter Suri Cruise has been spotted on the streets of Manhattan looking like a full-blown adult.

The 17-year-old was seen in New York's Soho while walking with some friends.

Suri is the daughter of actors Tom Cruise , 60, and Katie Holmes , 44.

She was wearing a black tank top and a knee-length denim skirt which gave early 2000s vibes.

She paired it with several silver bracelets and a black string choker necklace that had a large silver flower on it.

On her feet were black sneakers and tall white socks that were scrunched down at her ankles.

In August 2021, Katie and her lookalike daughter turned heads as they stepped out in New York City .

It was hard to miss that her daughter had a striking similarity to her actress mom in the early days of her career.

With her tall frame and long dark locks, the teen looked just like Katie when she starred in Dawson's Creek over 20 years ago.

Katie starred as Joey Potter in Dawson's Creek from 1998 to 2003, joining the show as a fresh-faced 18-year-old.

On their Friday outing, Katie kept it casual in a cream T-shirt tucked into white pants. Suri wore red shorts and cropped tank top.

Enjoying her evening stroll with her only child, Katie affectionately played with her daughter's brunette tresses while they waited for a crosswalk to turn green.

FATHER-DAUGHTER RELATIONSHIP

Suri has reportedly not seen  Top Gun  star Tom in more than a decade after her mom divorced him when she was five.

Katie gained sole custody of Suri in 2012, along with a generous settlement that has Tom paying a reported £325,000 a year for his daughter’s care.

After the split, Katie took Suri to New York which was 2,400 miles away from LA -based Tom.

The actor has been accused of putting his religion before his daughter, with ex-Scientologists claiming he has been ordered to shun Katie and Suri as non-believers.

Katie Holmes Shares Rare Update About Daughter Suri Cruise On Her 17th Birthday

Suri Cruise is 17 now, and we feel very old.

The high-profile relationship of her parents  Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes made Suri’s birth in April 2006 one of the most publicised celebrity events of the entire noughties. 

Thanks to the soaring public profiles of her celebrity parents, their whirlwind romance, and their relationship with Scientology, Suri’s childhood was a constant point of fascination for tabloids and a hungry public. 

As a toddler, Suri became a fashion icon, drumming up controversy for wearing baby heels and handbags to style-out her designer outfits. 

However, after Cruise and Holmes separated in 2012, Suri and Holmes took a large step back from the spotlight. While Holmes inched back into headlines for her relationships and various professional moves over the years, Suri has not yet returned to the public eye.  

So, where is the world’s most recognisable celebrity baby now?

Where is Suri Cruise now?

As of April 2023, Suri Cruise was still living mostly away from the spotlight.  However, with an apparent knack for singing, it seems Suri may one day make a return.

Suri Cruise recently leant her vocals to two of mum’s film soundtracks. The 17-year-old performed ‘Blue Moon’ for the soundtrack of the 2022 film  Alone Together , and has sung yet-to-be-released tracks for Holmes’ latest directing project, Rare Objects . 

“ I hope she always does something on my films,” Holmes said in an interview with Glamour . “I always ask her. But both of those experiences came out of the same sense of what I love about our industry, which is, you have these projects and you become a family with people. And it’s this safe, beautiful, creative space. So it comes out of love for me to include someone who I love dearly. That’s how I like to work. I like to have that kind of feeling. It was very meaningful to me to have her there, because she’s my heart.”

According to the Daily Mail , Suri is reportedly applying for college to study fashion.

While a source said Suri was “applying for schools all over the place”, they also divulged that Holmes would prefer she stay close to home in New York City. 

In her interview with Glamour , Holmes confessed a continued desire to protect her daughter.

“What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her,” she said. “I’m very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She’s an incredible person.”

Suri and Holmes are frequently sighted together around New York, and reportedly quarantined together at their home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Does Tom Cruise see Suri Cruise?

According to recent reports from Page Six , Tom Cruise does not have a relationship with his daughter. 

Sources say he has not seen Suri in a decade, with their last meeting thought to be in 2013, around a year after Cruise’s split from Holmes.

It is rumoured Cruise’s Church of Scientology prohibits him from seeing “non-believers”, which includes Suri and Holmes. Holmes’ choice to leave the faith is reportedly part of the reason behind the pair’s divorce.

TMZ previously reported that the divorce settlement required Tom to pay child support of USD $400,000 (approx. AU $) per year until Suri is 18.

The 44-year-old actress leads a notoriously private life with Suri, only occasionally speaking out about their relationship in the years since her split from Tom Cruise. Suri's early life was well documented in the press, thanks to the spotlight on her famous parents.

Katie recently adressed the fame and attention Suri garnered at a young age, a dmitting that it is because Suri spent her childhood in the spotlight that she has opted to keep her out of the public eye as a teenager.

"What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her," the star told  Glamour.   "I'm very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She's an incredible person."

Her comments echo those made to  Town & Country Magazine   in 2017, where she spoke of stepping away from the limelight to focus on parenting.

"It's very important that I'm present and she has a stable, innocent childhood," she told the publication.  "M y child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now.  I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there's nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed."

When did Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise get married?

Katie and Tom's whirlwind romance was the stuff of Hollywood tabloid dreams. The  Dawson's Creek star had a well-known crush on the actor; just five months before meeting Tom she told  Seventeen magazine " I think every little girl dreams about (her wedding). I used to think I was going to marry Tom Cruise."

The couple were spotted on their first date in Rome in April 2005, just weeks after meeting to "discuss a role related to the new  Mission: Impossible  movie."

They welcomed their daughter Suri one year later in April 2006, before tying the knot in November later that year. Just five years later, their love had fizzled out and they divorced in record time in 2012 (she filed for divorce on June 29, the proceedings were over by July 9).

Why did Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise get divorced

Tom was reportedly blindsided by Katie, who filed for divorce "without warning" and left him "deeply saddened" - according to his publicist. Katie's publicist emphasised she was doing what she thought was in Suri's "best interests." 

"This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family," her lawyer Jonathan Wolfe told   People   magazine at the time. "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

Citing "irreconcilable differences," Katie filed for divorce in the state of New York. It's reported that she believed she would have a "better chance" of gaining sole custody of Suri by filing on the East Coast. It was widely reported that Katie wanted New York  apartment, Tom was said to still have access to significant custodial time with his daughter.

Following their brief divorce proceedings, Katie's lawyer said: "We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life. We thank Tom's counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution."

Katie and Tom tied the knot in 2006.

Does Tom Cruise have a relationship with daughter Suri?

In 2013, a year after the split, Tom sued a magazine for a story that claimed he had abandoned Suri. In a deposition regarding the story,  Tom was asked if his ties to Scientology had played a part in Katie's decision to file for divorce. T om replied: "Did she say that? That was one of the assertions, yes." He  also confirmed Suri was no longer a member of the Scientology Church at that time. 

Throughout the trial, Tom also c onfirmed that he had not seen Suri for several months immediately following the split.

“Listen, when there is a divorce… things change,” he said.  “ And it’s more complicated, as everyone know when that is, when that occurs, and there are certain agreements; now you have to ask for permission and organize schedules to make things happen. So it wasn’t — it’s not an ideal scene. It’s not an ideal situation.”

It was later reported by InTouch Magazine in 2016 that the actor hadn't seen or spoken to his youngest child in more than 1,000 days (over two-and-a-half years).

“They used to Skype and text, but that trailed off drastically,” a source told InTouch at the time.

The most recent update from  Page Six  claims that Tom plays "no part" in Suri's life - though he still pays his child support bills. The publication claimed he still pays a large child-support sum of US$400,000 and will continue to do so until she turns 18.

Despite the tabloid speculation, little is known about the actual inner workings of their relationship.

While Tom has not commented on their father-daughter relationship in some time, Katie has occasionally broken her silence on their private lives...

Tom reportedly does not have a relationship with Suri now.

Inside Kate & Suri's close relationship

In the first few years following their divorce, Katie rarely addressed their ill-fated romance or her family life without Tom. She briefly mentioned her love of her daughter in a few interview snippets in 2014. 

​​"I didn't know how much love I had in me. It's overwhelming," she said in an August 2014 interview with  Glamour . "Every day I discover more about this spectacular human being I get to be the mother of."

"The most important thing for me is letting her know how proud I am and that her accomplishments mean everything. Whatever I do is whatever. It's really just about her and that's what I think is most important," she said on The Today Show later that month.

"Motherhood means everything to me," she told  People Magazine later that year. "I'm learning every day, and I have been since the minute I became a mom.

"My main goal is to just let her know how much I love her," she said. "Just to let her know that she is so loved. When that's the through line, who cares that my first two pancakes are always burned?

"Between tickle fights and glitter art, I try to throw in some manners along the way. I try to have good manners too, so that's what she sees. I also try to be very creative with her, because I know she's an artist, and that speaks to the girl in me," she said.

"Motherhood means everything to me," Katie has said.

Katie told  People that she relied on her mother, Kathleen Stothers-Holmes, and her close girlfriends to get through life as a newly single mother.

"I lean on them. For advice, for recipes, for all of that stuff: 'What am I supposed to do? Can you come over and watch? Can you be a helping hand?' And I do have help, yes, but … it's your baby, you know? You want to be the one who is there," she told the publication.

She also acknowledged that she questions "am I enough?" and "am I doing enough?" on a regular basis. 

"You do the best you can. Some days you feel really good about yourself and some days you don't," she tells People . " Motherhood has taught me to just let go of some things, to relinquish control. I've had to learn to ask myself, 'Is this worth it? Is it going to make her smile?' And if it is, then yeah, we're probably gonna do it. Maybe that means dinner at 8 instead of 6, and a snack in between. Fine.

"Things don't have to happen a certain way. I think we all need to ease up on the expectations. We're all trying to do the best we can. Motherhood taught me that."

Katie relied on her close loved ones as she navigated becoming a single parent.

Inside Suri Cruise's life now...

As Suri continued to grow through her teens, Katie kept her out of the spotlight save for a few comments here and there.

"I love her so much," she   told   InStyle   in April 2020. "My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality, to make sure she is 100 percent herself and strong, confident and able. And to know it. She came out very strong — she's always been a strong personality."

In November 2020, she told  Vogue Australia the pandemic had further shaped their close relationship.

Katie has revealed that life in the pandemic strengthened their bond.

In an interview with  Variety in 2023, Katie offered one last glimpse into their home life. She shared that they were watching the iconic  Dawon's Creek together, reliving her years as Joey Potter.

"She has seen   Dawson's Creek,   and I think it's probably weird since she's a teenager. I'm not like, 'You need to watch mommy's work.' But during the pandemic, we had a good laugh about it," she said. "It's wild to have a daughter who's almost the same age as I was when I began all this."

Katie Holmes is celebrating her mini-me daughter Suri Cruise 's birthday with some rare pictures.

To celebrate her daughter turning 15 on Sunday, Holmes, who is famously private about the teen, posted three Instagram photos of Suri taken throughout the years. Homes shares the teen with ex-husband Tom Cruise , to whom she was married from 2006 to 2012.

In one of the pictures, Holmes cradles her look-alike daughter in arms. In another, Suri smiles for the camera while giving mom a big hug.

"Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!!" Holmes wrote in the caption. "I can’t believe you are already 15!"

Other stars gushed over the cute photos in the comments.

"Happy birthday," commented Viola Davis, adding a heart emoji.

"Happy happy 15th!!" wrote "Good Witch" star Bailee Madison. "Can’t believe she is 15 now. All my love to you both"

Though Holmes is known for keeping her daughter out of the spotlight, the "Dawson's Creek" star, 42, opened up about bonding with Suri during the coronavirus pandemic  in her November cover story for Vogue Australia .

In yet another sign time goes by way too fast, Katie Holmes' daughter Suri Cruise is one year away from her sweet sixteen now. Holmes marked her daughter's 15th birthday with an adoring tribute on Instagram, complete with new (old) photos of Cruise. Holmes has largely kept photos of her daughter off social media, so the tribute is a very rare look into Cruise's life with Holmes.

“Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!! ❤️💕😘 I can’t believe you are already 15!” Holmes wrote to Cruise. She shared a carousel of photos, featuring two of Cruise and Holmes hugging.

“It’s been nice that our ages fit… how do I put this? Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match. We kind of grew up together,” Holmes said.

She later added that yes, she, like most other parents, worries about the world Cruise is taking in. When asked if she's concerned about her teenage daughter being subject to bad influences, Holmes responded, “Doesn’t every parent? But, yes, of course I’m worried. There is so much bad news and hate and things that don’t make sense… The atmosphere around the world is… terrifying.”

No parents, no problem. Suri Cruise ‘s 15th birthday included two friends and neither of her parents. Suri, who is the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes , turned 15 years old on Sunday, April 18, and from the looks of her bday, Suri had a grand old time exploring New York City without any parental supervision.

Suri was photographed Sunday with two friends as they bought flowers, ate ice cream and took selfies in downtown Manhattan, Suri’s mom, Katie Holmes , wasn’t far away however. Holmes was also photographed in the same neighborhood, shopping for Suri’s birthday present as her daughter enjoyed some alone time with her friends.

For her birthday outfit, Suri dressed in a leather jacket, a white T-shirt and dark-wash jeans. She completed the look with a white face mask and light sneakers. Suri, whose long brown hair came well below her shoulders, also looked noticeably taller from the last time fans saw her. (Her mom, FYI, is 5’9″.)

Suri is Holmes’ only child from her marriage to Cruis e, whom she was married to from 2006 to 2012. Cruise also has two children from his marriage to Nicole Kidman: son Connor, 26, and daughter Isabella, 28. Kidman and Cruise divorced in 2001 after 11 years of marriage.

In honor of Suri’s 15th birthday , Holmes took to her Instagram on Sunday with a post about how she couldn’t “believe” how fast her daughter had grown up. “Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!! ❤️💕😘 I can’t believe you are already 15!” she wrote.

In April 2020, A source told Us Weekly  about how “in sync” Suri and Holmes are as a mother-and-daughter duo. “You’d struggle to find a mom-daughter duo who are more in sync with each other,” the insider said. “They’re a real team— their connection is a beautiful thing to witness.” The source continued, “Suri is very naturally athletic and excels at physical activities like gymnastics and dance.” The insider went on to reveal that Suri is also “well liked” among her close group of friends.

A source also revealed to Us Weekly in April 2019 that Suri is “really protective” of her mother. “If Katie’s feeling stressed or down, Suri’s very compassionate and loving. Katie feels like her daughter really is her little angel,” the insider said. The source continued, “She’s is a great kid. She’s extremely polite and well-mannered. She’s a good girl who’s a joy to be around; she doesn’t come across as spoiled or like a celebrity kid at all.”

Katie Holmes and her doppelgänger daughter, Suri Cruise, popped out for a cheerful stroll in New York City on Monday.

The “Dawson’s Creek” alum, 45, and the 17-year-old looked strikingly alike as they walked side by side in the buzzy Soho neighborhood with smiles on their faces.

Holmes looked laid-back in an oversize denim jacket layered over a red sweater and black trousers. She accessorized with white sneakers, sunglasses, a chunky statement necklace and a soft leather black tote by Mansur Gavriel , which retails for $795.

The teenager, who is nearly as tall as her 5-foot-9 mom, went with light-wash bootcut jeans, beat-up brown cowboy boots and a stunning Maje Western-style shearling coa t ( $2,695 $1347).

She also carried a worn-out brown leather crossbody decorated with two lions.

The look-alike mother-daughter duo appeared to enjoy their day out together, as they were seen laughing and gabbing while making their way down the pavement.

Passersby did not seem to recognize the actress or her child, whom she shares with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Holmes and Suri rarely step out together, though they got all gussied up to celebrate the “First Daughter” star’s 45th birthday in December.

The high school student clearly loves celebrating her mom, as she was also seen buying Holmes a bouquet of flowers for Mother’s Day last May.

And the feeling is mutual for Holmes, who gushed about how much she loves spending time with Suri in 2019.

“I feel very blessed to have such a special daughter. Being her mom is absolutely the greatest gift and privilege,” she told Shape magazine at the time. “Sometimes I work out with my daughter. It just depends on the day.”

Suri seems to want to follow in her parents’ footsteps and chase a career in acting. Page Six exclusively reported in December that the teen landed a lead role in her school’s play .

We’re told she played Morticia Addams in “The Addams Family: A New Musical,” with one audience member calling Suri’s performance “amazing.”

The Hollywood scion is believed to be estranged from her father , who was married to Holmes from 2006 to 2012.

A source told Page Six last year that the “Top Gun: Maverick” star, 61, has not seen Suri in a very long time and is not a part of her life.

Tom — who was previously married to Nicole Kidman from 1990 to 2001 and Mimi Rogers from 1987 to 1990 — is reportedly now in a serious relationship with Russian socialite Elsina Khayrova .

The Scientologist shares daughter Isabella, 31, and son Connor, 29, with Kidman, 56, who married Keith Urban in 2006.

New Photo Of Suri Cruise Makes Clear She's Beating Dad Tom's Height

Since she entered this world in April 2006, the media has been fascinated by Suri Cruise, the daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise. Katie and Tom tied the knot in 2006 and ended their marriage in 2012. However, since the divorce,  Suri reportedly does not have a relationship with her father . Per  Page Six , this is due to Tom's connection with the Church of Scientology. Suri and Holmes, on the other hand, are two peas in a pod. Although Holmes prefers to keep her daughter out of the media, this hasn't stopped her from gushing about her in various interviews.

Speaking to  InStyle  in 2020, Holmes opened up about what it's like raising Suri and said, "I love her so much. My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality. To make sure she is 100 percent herself and strong, confident, and able. And to know it. She came out very strong — she's always been a strong personality."

Suri turned 17 in April 2023 and  has transformed  from a toddler in heels into a beautiful young woman. That said, Suri shares many similar physical traits with Holmes, and she seems to have inherited her mother's height.

In the exclusive photo above, Suri Cruise looks casual in a pair of gray sweatpants, sneakers, and a zip-up sweater. With her long legs, Suri is clearly on the taller side. In April 2023,  Suri and her mother, Katie Holmes, were pictured side by side at the Los Angeles International Airport . Suri's exact height is unknown, but it appears that she and Holmes are around the same height, and in some of the photos, she looms slightly over Holmes. Holmes is said to be 5 feet, 9 inches tall, meaning that both she and Suri are taller than Tom Cruise, who is reportedly 5 foot 7.

With Tom having little involvement in her upbringing, Suri lives a lowkey life in New York City with Holmes and will be heading to college soon. A source told the  Daily Mail  that Suri wants to study fashion and said, "Suri is applying to schools all over the place. [Katie] really does want her to stay in New York so they can be close to each other. Katie takes great pride in her but is also extremely overprotective."

Like her parents, the teenager has dabbled in the entertainment industry. Suri's singing voice can be heard in the two films Holmes directed, "Alone Together" and "Rare Objects." Suri wore a pink dress and gold tiara, and looked enraged as tears rolled down her face and Katie knelt patiently by her side. 

They later emerged from the store looking calm and collected with Suri being treated to a lollipop and some toys.

She paints a very different picture today, as she is often spotted out and about in New York with her mom or friends, acting like a regular teen. 

Most recently, the 17-year-old was snapped with beautiful long hair, as she headed off for her last vacation with Katie before her 18th birthday on April 18,

The mother-daughter duo were pictured getting into a car with their luggage as they headed off for the Easter weekend. 

Katie is exceptionally private about her daughter, and has not revealed whether or not she will go to college.

While she's close to her mom,  Suri is reportedly estranged from her famous father.

It appears she's inherited her parents' passion for the entertainment industry, however, and showcased her incredible singing voice in 2022 when she sang the opening credits of Katie's film, Alone Together, when she was just 15. 

Chatting to Yahoo! Entertainment about her daughter's role in the movie, Katie said: "She's very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it and I let her do her thing. "That's the way I direct in general: It's like, 'This is what I think we all want - go do your thing'."
