Our sportfisher operates out of the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, which is located in Nags Head, NC. The waters we sail are home to some of the finest sportfishing in North Carolina. We catch a variety of different species aboard the Sinbad including Speckled Trout, Amberjack, Flounder, King and Spanish Mackerel, Blues, Cobia, Drum, Croaker, Fall Rockfish, Channel Bass, Black Sea Bass, and Small Shark.

Our charters are available for anglers of all ages, skill levels, as well as first timers. Whether trolling, casting, drifting, bottom fishing , or wreck fishing; we’ve enjoyed watching our crews experience what nature has to offer. Once aboard, we supply the tackle, bait, ice, and your saltwater fishing license for the trip!

Our boat has a comfortable cabin and can carry up to 6 passengers, making us ideal for:

Where is the boat located.

We have two different boats to fish off of to make your special day a success at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center .

Choose either to fish out of a flats skiff to reach those unpressured fish in the secret backwaters area, or fish from our 26 foot custom built sounds boat which handles well when the weather or seas are a little choppy.

Can we keep the fish we catch?

Absolutely! As long as the fish meet the local and federal size limits.  There is nothing fresher than cooking up a dinner with the fish you just caught!

Do I need a fishing license?

No, the boat has a blanket license to cover everyone on board.

Fish The West Wind Sportfishing Boat New to the water June 2001, The West Wind is a 57' custom sportfisher built by Leonard Rigsbee in Morehead City. The West Wind has twin 735hp Detroit diesel engines with a cruising speed of 25 knots. History of Captain I have been fishing for more than 20 years. I started out commercial fishing in 1989 on a long line boat. After commercial fishing I had several mating jobs until 1997. That year I was Captain of a private boat called the Sea Bear. I started building my own boat in 2000 and put her in the water summer of 2001 and kept on fishing! We made our home here on the Outer Banks since 1996 and our 2nd home the gulfstream as much as we can, so lets fish!!! Our professional crew will blow you away!
