Dinosaurs are incredible, ancient beings that are a source of wonder for both children and adults alike - but what if you could travel back in time and meet these astounding creatures face-to-face? For the rest of this year only, part of the ExCeL Centre in London will be transformed into a real-life pre-historic playground for Jurassic World: The Exhibition , becoming home to dozens of animatronic dinosaurs that will wow and woo visitors of all ages.

Fans of the hit Jurassic World films are in for a treat, as the entire event has been designed by set makers and artists from the franchise. Visitors will be able to creep past species such as a velociraptor and towering Brachiosaurus, and even see the fierce Tyrannosaurus Rex too.

Exhibition-goers will be able to watch them move, roar and even feed as they come to life in a 20,000 sq ft space. Park rangers will also be on the premises to guide adventurers around the huge Jurassic Park - but they should watch out for the fierce beasts lurking behind every shrub or forest path.

In addition to experiencing the world inspired by the beloved films, exhibition guests will be able to pose for one-of-a-kind “Instagram-able” photo moments throughout the event. There will also be an interactive dig site where youngsters can become palaeontologists for the day and scavenge for dinosaur bones and remains.

James Cassidy, COO of FKP Scorpio Entertainment UK says: "The entire Jurassic World: The Exhibition experience has been designed to be as immersive as possible for visitors. From the moment our guests walk through the doors, all the sights and sounds of the event will be geared towards fueling the experience of being in the dinosaurs' domain.

"The Jurassic Dominion movie came out quite recently and the entire exhibition has been organised in collaboration with its creative film team, and it will be held in collaboration with Universal studios and NBC. All of our dinosaurs are animatronic so they move and hiss on their own - guests can go up to them and touch them as well as get plenty of selfie opportunities."

Jurassic World: The Exhibition tour has previously taken major cities across the world such as Chicago, Philadelphia, Paris, Madrid and Seoul, Shanghai and Chengdu by storm. A record-breaking number of tickets have already been sold for the London event.

The exhibition will be open from Thursday, August 25, until the end of 2022. It will provide the ideal day out for both children and adults across the city and elsewhere in the UK, who are seeking an unforgettable experience.

Tickets for the Jurassic World: The Exhibition start at £26 per adult and £18.50 per child. Car parking will be available on-site and visitors can also travel to the ExCeL Centre directly on the London Underground via the new Elizabeth Line.

What's there to discover?

As well as seeing lots of giant species throughout the day, there will be plenty of opportunities for families to interact with incredible baby dinosaurs. This includes “Bumpy” from the hit Netflix series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, which premiered in 2020 and released season 4 in December 2021.

Fans will even have the chance to play Jurassic World Alive – the popular location-based AR mobile game. In the game, dinosaurs are back on Earth and they roam free in our world.

Players can explore their surroundings to find their favourite Jurassic World characters. The app is available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play.

When the exhibition opens, players who visit ExCeL London and open the game on their device can locate an exclusive Jurassic World: The Exhibition incubator, which are capsules that contain valuable resources to use as an in-game reward.

Those who want to relax after walking the perilous path housing Jurassic World's ancient beasts will be able to buy refreshments from a range of food and drink outlets in the ExCeL Centre. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés to choose from.

Film fans will also be able to purchase souvenirs from the full merchandise retail store on site, including t-shirts, stationary and more, as a memory of their incredible experience of visiting the dinosaurs' domain.

JURASSIC WORLD DINOSAURS STOMP INTO LONDON FOR THEIR FIRST IMMERSIVE UK EVENT

JURASSIC WORLD: THE EXHIBITION, an over 20,000 square-foot immersive experience based on one of the biggest blockbusters in cinema history, will be landing in London on August 25, 2022 at ExCeL London, just 15 minutes from central London on the brand new Elizabeth Line. Visitors will walk through the world-famous “Jurassic World” gates, encounter life-sized dinosaurs and explore prehistoric environments. Guests will have an up-close look at a Velociraptor, stand in awe under a towering Brachiosaurus, and encounter the most fearsome of them all, the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex. Fans will be able to imagine what it would have been like to roam among these breathtaking creatures and even interact with new baby dinosaurs, including “Bumpy” from the popular animated series Jurassic World : Camp Cretaceous, created by Universal Pictures, Amblin Entertainment and DreamWorks Animation, which is currently streaming globally on Netflix.

Welcome to jurassic world: the exhibition, land of giants.

The Brachiosaurus is part of a group of a family of gigantic sauropod dinosaurs that includes some of the largest creatures ever to walk the earth.

DID YOU KNOW?

The name Stygimoloch literally means Demon from the River Styx (or Hell) . They were small bipedal herbivores with large domed bony heads and a prominent crown of horns around them.

You never know which adorable baby dino you will encounter in the exhibition. From Baby Raptor to everyone’s favorite tiny dinosaur from Camp Cretaceous, Bumpy!

TAKE A PICTURE WITH A BABY DINO!

Hammond creation lab.

In the Hammond Creation Lab , Jurassic World’s geneticists unlock the secrets of the past to bring dinosaurs back to life. One of the techniques they use is to extract dinosaur DNA from mosquitoes trapped in amber.

Meet the Park’s NEWEST Parasaurolophus babies created by our EXPERT geneticists.

T. rex kingdom.

Tyrannosaurus Rex was one of the largest meat-eating dinosaurs that ever lived. Everything about this ferocious predator, from its thick, heavy skull to its 4-foot-long (1.2-meter-long) jaw, was designed for maximum bone-crushing action.

The high-voltage fence is not the only thing you should worry about!

The raptor experience.

Velociraptors were small, carnivorous dinosaurs from Mongolia. Raptors had sharp serrated teeth and sharp-clawed hands and feet. Each foot carried a large recurved claw on the second toe used for slashing and pinning prey to the ground.

Continue your journey through Gyrosphere Valley where you can see a life-size gyrosphere display, take a picture with a baby dino, and discover whats under the dirt at the Dig Site.

The bony backplates were intended to attract mates, but her massive spiked tail could keep most predators at bay.

IT’S FEEDING TIME…

Watch as the Indominus Rex gets fed. Her hybrid DNA is a combination of aggressive carnivores like Carnotaurus, T. rex, and Raptors with the genome of modern animals such as cuttlefish and tree frogs. Highly intelligent and extremely dangerous.

New ‘Jurassic World’ Movie Gets 2025 Release Date, David Leitch in Talks to Direct

“Bullet Train” director David Leitch is in talks to direct a new “ Jurassic World ” film for Universal. The currently untitled project is slated to release on July 2, 2025. 

David Koepp , the original screenwriter of “ Jurassic Park ” and “The Lost World: Jurassic Park,” will write the script for the film, which will be executive produced by Steven Spielberg through Amblin Entertainment. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley will produce and David Leitch and Kelly McCormick will also produce through 87North.  

This film will mark the beginning of a fresh storyline in the juggernaut series, which has spanned three decades. It’s not yet clear if any previous stars, including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern or Jeff Goldblum, will return. 

Universal’s executive VP of production development Sara Scott and creative executive of production development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project for the studio. 

Since the June 1993 release of Spielberg’s original “Jurassic Park,” the six-film franchise has earned more than $6 billion worldwide. The most recent entry in the series, 2022’s “Jurassic World Dominion,” surpassed $1 billion worldwide. 

David Leitch’s directorial credits include “John Wick,” “Atomic Blonde,” “Fast & Furious” spinoff “Hobbes & Shaw,” “Deadpool 2″ and this year’s Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling-led action comedy “The Fall Guy,” out May 3. He is represented by CAA, Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole and 42West.

Sam Neill addresses Jurassic World return for new movie

"Maybe that's it."

The actor played palaeontologist Dr Alan Grant in the original Jurassic Park films and reprised the role in the third Jurassic World instalment, Jurassic World: Dominion , alongside former co-stars Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern in 2022.

The fourth Jurassic World movie was announced earlier this year, but it doesn't sound like Neill has gotten the call for his return yet.

"All I know is what I see on social media, that I hardly ever look at. I have no idea what anyone’s thinking at all," he shared in a new interview with Forbes .

After pointing out that you can watch him play tennis in his new show Apples Never Fall , Neill added: "But far as running from dinosaurs, maybe that’s it."

The upcoming film, which is slated for a July 2025 release, will now be directed by The Creator 's Gareth Edwards following the departure of Bullet Train 's David Leitch .

David Koepp, who wrote Jurassic Park and its sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park , will return to write the script, while Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall will serve as producers.

Last year, Neill revealed that he had been treated for stage three blood cancer , though by October confirmed he had been in remission for 12 months .

However, he will require infusions every fortnight after taking an anti-cancer drug for the rest of his life.

After revealing that doctors told him the drug will stop working one day, Neill shared: "I'm not in any way frightened of dying, that's never worried me from the beginning. But I would be annoyed I'd be annoyed because there are things I still want to do. Very irritating, dying. But I'm not afraid of it."
