NCL Logo Evolving?
By Beezo , August 17, 2022 in Norwegian Cruise Line
Recommended Posts
I was curious on everyone’s thoughts here - I’ve noticed an adaptation/evolution of NCL’s logo.
You may notice on the Prima that the funnel simply has “NCL” and the wave, but does not have the formal NCL logo (blue) like all the other ships in the fleet. I’ve also noticed this is the same at their new terminal in Miami. Yes, they do have the primary logo blasted on the parking garage, but on the building itself and within you only see the actual letters.
I’m wondering if they are slowly moving away from the current logo? Not saying I love the current logo, but it’s significantly better than the bland-looking letters on their own….

Given that the Prima still has the wave I would not say that the terminal is an evolution.
As for the Prima, I can think of a couple of reason why they just went with the letters and the wave:
1. The funnel shroud is curved so it might be more complicated that it's worth to fashion the background piece of the logo.
2. The funnel shroud is an artistic element and the full background of the logo would have covered it up excessively.

Great point. Thank you for sharing!
What I do find interesting as well is how they’ve maintained the dark purple funnels with light blue logo on top, even though most of the ships (excl Sky, Sun, maybe Star) today were not in service with the old purple and gold branding. Nothing against it - Just always figured they’d paint all the funnels the light blue color.
For those interested, here are some logos of past. Any favorites?

I actually prefer the bottom one, which I believe is the current one? It's crisp, the block letters are pleasing to my eye, and it has elements of the first logo you posted (which I guess was the first logo?).

Completely agree! Current logo is my favorite out of the NCL's logos. Didn't realize how many "waves" have been a theme within the logos/branding throughout the variants and decades.
One I never really liked was the one right above the current. Didn't look that great on a funnel and always thought it looked like it belonged on a bar of soap, lol.

Is it just me or do the two waves on the next to last logo suggest motion in a not-so-good way? The single wave on the current logo seems more serene.
Love this topic! I find logos to be fascinating.
Of the examples above, the current one is my favorite by far!
Rough seas ahead is what the three waves looks like to me! One is good for singularity, unity, that vacation bliss we all desire on NCL!
Well at least we know what should be stamped on the bar of soap if NCL ever makes a branded soap line. 🙂
Sand and Seas
A trip down memory lane for me!
I've sailed NCL with all of these logos except maybe the first? Guess I'm getting pretty old!
My latitudes number is just 6 digits, although my DH's is a standard 8 digits and all of our cruises have been together.
The 6 digits has confused a couple of agents I've called. It was hard to convince them I had it right!
Also - Can see the last two logos in the example below. On the Star, you can still see the shaping of the previous logo painted over in before/after:
With my earlier comment regarding using the same purple funnel with the old gold logo - you can see it here on the S/S Norway as a point of reference. While it is a very nice contrast with the light blue/dark purple like it is today (even with the purple on the background of "NORWEGIAN STAR" above). I always wondered what it would've looked like with the whole funnel the light blue color - even a mix like the Norway before going purple gold:

Me too. I like the color, approach, and simplicity.
I'm not opposed to change either, I'm just trying to decipher what/where they are going.

This angle and lighting… looks like they went with the light blue on the whole funnel! Never noticed how much it really popped like that over the past few weeks.

That photo looks highly edited. From all of the other photos I have seen I think the actual color is darker and less saturated.

I think the photo is quite zoomed in (or possibly taken from a drone) and that might be affecting things. This is the Skarfabakki cruise port in Reykjavik, and the islands are much further out than they look in this photo and there isn’t anything super high nearby. The colors of the scenery and other things in the photo look correct compared to when I was there a few weeks ago, so I don’t think it is super edified.
marktwothousand
I like the new logo and actually starting to think the whole brand needs a bit of a refresh at this point. The dailies, the restaurants, even the in-house TV promo videos…all could use a make over. And they can probably drop the “freestyle” language too. It’s a little outdated now.

From this angle, it looks amazing...but I'm afraid @Karaboudjan is right that this is an edited photo. Definitely a cooler looking funnel than some previous ones. Not gonna lie though, I might not be old school in a lot of my thoughts, but I do love the old funnels from way back in the day (like 1950's).
- 7 months later...
Favor to ask of @Beezo and @Cruise Wonderland - can you tell me where you found the logo evolution frame on the Getaway? We are sailing at the end of this month and this would be an awesome little find to share with my kiddo.
My son loves logos and logo design; in his graphic arts training he spends a lot of time in not just animation but looking at shapes and colors and how they relate to expressing a brand's "concepts and mindset". The psychology of logos is fascinating. If you've ever go on Fivrr or or similar sites to try to build a brand logo it's amazing how an artist can take a few important words, core concepts, meaningful colors, and come together to find a perfect logo for a brand. As somebody with no artistic skills whatsoever I truly appreciate both the art and science of this form of graphic arts.
Warmest, Amy
laudergayle
Logo creation is so much more difficult than what we see on the surface. In addition to the branding elements @amygutman mentions, there is the execution factor. What might look perfect on a brochure has to be scalable to outdoor building signs, highway signs, smokestacks, all the way down to an imprint on soap. Loose elements (like the NCL waves) are very difficult to manage on signage. Spaces between elements may look great on paper…but when scaled up or down, they can look outrageous or disappear all together. Same with words or typeface with serifs.
I find it interesting that the registered trademark now follows the words “cruise line” vs. earlier logos where it followed “Norwegian”. They must have updated their registration to now own the whole name. Typically you wouldn’t be able to register a generic phrase like “cruise line”.
I, too, find the current logo the most pleasing.
I took my first NCL cruise in 1976 on the Skyward and remember all of these logos. One of my all-time favorite ships was the S/S Norway (cruised aboard her in 1980, 1987, 1994 and 2000). Although it now seems dated, I still have fond memories of the first logo (the bold wave logo) shown above. I like the way that most of these logos have a wave element that seems to reference the original logo.
I will be cruising aboard the Norwegian Prima later this month.

In 2017 it was displayed at a corridor on Deck 6, near to the card room / meeting rooms. I am not sure if it still exists now.

Well...that gives me a place to start the hunt.
Much appreciated. After reading this thread, I hit Google for past NCL logos and had a fun time watching the evolution. The more "plain block" font is now favored by many brands and there is lots of discussion online re: "brand blanding". Super interesting (for those geeky enough to appreciate such dives into brand psychology).
Warmest. Amy

A History of Cruising Innovations
Our story began more than half a century ago when Norwegian Caribbean Line was founded by Norway’s oldest and most respected shipping company. In 1966, we made a groundbreaking maiden voyage with 550 passengers that changed how the world viewed holidays at sea. No longer simply a means of transportation, the ship became a destination unto itself, offering guests an exciting, affordable alternative to land-based resorts. As the cruise industry began to gain popularity, Norwegian led the way with its introduction of a fleet of sleek, new “white ships” in the late 60s and early 70s and continued to add capacity and expand itineraries throughout the next two decades. Norwegian Caribbean Line became Norwegian Cruise Line in 1987 to reflect an expanded route structure. Throughout the 90s the company continued to expand its fleet with newer and larger vessels built to replace the now retired “white ships.”
NCL’s journey began in 1966 as Norwegian Caribbean Lines, the first cruise line to offer weekly departures to the Caribbean. The Company then began launching its fleet of sleek, white ships making regular calls to exotic island ports.
The 70s were an era of expansion and growth for the Company. In 1977, the company purchased Great Stirrup Cay, becoming the first cruise line to offer a private “out island” experience.
In 1984 Norwegian Caribbean Lines purchased Royal Viking Line and in 1987 it changed its name to Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) to reflect an expanded route structure.
Throughout the 1990s NCL continued to expand and focus on an increasing array of destinations as it retired its classic white ships. As it ushered in a new generation of ships, two ships the Norwegian Dream and Norwegian Wind underwent extensive reconstructions with each ship stretched 130 feet with the largest “mid-body” inserts done in the industry. The 1990s also marked a series of other firsts including the first WiFi capabilities on a cruise ship and later cell phone service fleetwide even while ships were at sea.
In February 2000, Norwegian Cruise Line was acquired by Genting Hong Kong Limited (formerly Star Cruises Ltd.) for approximately $1.8 billion. Following the acquisition, Star Cruises became the third largest cruise line in the world and launched an expansion program of new ships, onboard improvements and innovative itineraries.
In May 2000, Norwegian Cruise Line introduced Freestyle Cruising® , a revolutionary product offering that provided guests freedom and flexibility in a cruise vacation for a more relaxed, resort-style vacation experience versus traditional cruising.
The first purpose-built Freestyle Cruising® ship was built in 2001 and due to the company’s unique capability to deliver this product offering and its tremendous success, all newbuilds since have been purpose-built for Freestyle Cruising®.
In August 2007, we sold a 50 percent ownership stake in Norwegian Cruise Line to private equity groups Apollo Management, LP and TPG Capital for a $1 billion cash equity investment. The investment closed on January 7, 2008.
In January 2013, we completed our initial public offering and listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange, trading under the ticker symbol “NCLH”. We sold 27.1 million shares for net proceeds of approximately $477.64 million. Our IPO was a huge success and priced above the range. Post-IPO, all three sponsors sold down their stakes and exited their long-term investments by year-end 2018.
In November 2014, we acquired Prestige Cruises International, Inc., the parent company of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, in a cash and stock transaction for $3.025 billion, including the assumption of debt. This transaction diversified our portfolio to include three award-winning, global cruise brands.
We are a leading global cruise company operating world-renowned cruise brands: Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Our combined fleet of 32 ships carries millions of guests to approximately 700 destinations across the globe. Our future is bright, and we will be introducing five new ships across our three brands through 2028.

Cruise ship barred from docking in Mauritius amid outbreak of stomach illness
Officials in the island nation of Mauritius blocked a Norwegian Cruise Line ship from docking there Sunday after more than a dozen passengers were stricken with a stomach illness.
Around 15 passengers aboard the Norwegian Dawn remain in isolation because of an undisclosed "health risk" and are undergoing testing, according to the Mauritius Ports Authority .
"The decision not to allow the cruise ship access to the quay was taken in order to avoid any health risks," the authority said in a statement.
The sick guests “experienced mild symptoms of a stomach-related illness,” Norwegian Cruise Line said in a statement Sunday. The cause of the outbreak has not been released.
“Due to additional testing being required by local authorities before being allowed entry, the government of Mauritius has delayed disembarkation for the current cruise and embarkation for the next cruise by two days,” the Norwegian statement said.
It’s expected that the ship will be allowed to dock Tuesday, the cruise line said, after results of tests conducted Sunday become available.
The Norwegian Dawn has more than 2,100 passengers and 1,000 crew on board. About 2,000 of those travelers were set to complete their journey on Sunday by disembarking in Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean just east of Madagascar, the Ports Authority said. Then more than 2,200 new passengers were scheduled to board.
The authority said that the passengers who were due to start their cruise Sunday would not be able to do so that day and that they would have to be relocated to available hotels.
Norwegian Cruise Line said the ship's "management team met with local authorities to confirm precautions and actions were being taken to ensure the wellbeing of all on board."
Gastrointestinal illnesses are often identified on cruise ships for a few reasons , according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: The ships' close living quarters make it easier for viruses to spread, and the regular addition of new passengers creates opportunities to introduce illness. However, because public health officials track illness cases on cruise ships, such outbreaks may also be reported more often than ones on land.
Last month, an outbreak of norovirus — a common stomach bug that causes vomiting and diarrhea — sickened 92 passengers and eight crew members on a Celebrity Cruises ship.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is scheduled to report fourth-quarter results on Thursday morning. Over the past year, shares of Norwegian have lagged its two main rivals, and Wall Street analysts are looking for direction from the cruise operator.
NET LOSS: The company is expected to report a loss of $54.5 million, according to the consensus of 11 analysts surveyed by FactSet. That would be narrowed from a loss of $439.7 million in the same period a year earlier.
ADJUSTED LOSS: Norwegian Cruise Line is expected to report an adjusted loss of 12 cents a share, according to 15 analysts surveyed by FactSet.
REVENUE: The company is expected to report fourth-quarter sales of $1.97 billion, according to 12 analysts surveyed by FactSet. In the same period a year earlier, Norwegian posted revenue of $1.52 billion.
The stock price rose about 22% during the quarter and recently traded at $16.12 a share.
WHAT TO WATCH
--Analysts will be looking for some annual financial guidance from Norwegian as well as an update on the booking season, referred to by industry insiders as the WAVE booking season. Norwegian rival Royal Caribbean Group last week said the booking season started off so strongly that the cruise operator raised its annual guidance, which it had issued just weeks earlier.
--Norwegian shareholders have missed out on much of the broad rally in cruise stocks. Over the past year, shares of Royal Caribbean and Carnival are up about 72% and 42%, respectively. Norwegian stock is down nearly 2% over the same period. Norwegian has a smaller fleet of ships and typically prices tickets higher than both Royal and Carnival. Royal, the industry's outperformer, has the most exposure to the Caribbean market, according to analysts at Truist. Investors will be looking for a reason to stay with Norwegian stock.

I've been on 50 cruises. Here are 3 routes I'd sail again in a heartbeat and 3 I'd probably skip.
- I've been on 50 cruises (at least six a year), and some routes are better than others.
- I try to avoid cruises that make stops at Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas.
- My favorite cruise I've ever been on was a Mediterranean voyage from Barcelona.
I've taken 50 cruises with family and friends, and I'm always looking to try out new routes with different port stops .
Before I ever book a cruise — which I do about six times a year — I try to find either a new-to-me ship or a new-to-me route. If neither of those options works for my budget or timeframe, I opt for a familiar favorite.
Here are my favorite cruise routes that I'm always happy to book, and the ones I don't need to sail again.
My favorite route is a Mediterranean cruise that starts and ends in Barcelona, Spain.
Mediterranean cruises start and end in various ports of call around Europe, typically throughout the summer sailing season.
Last year, my family and I took a Disney Cruise that started and ended in Barcelona, with stops in France and Italy.
My favorite part of this trip was splitting a day between Nice and Eze in the French Riviera . I was able to walk through cobblestone streets overlooking the ocean while sipping on limoncello.
I love Caribbean cruises along the western ports.
I've taken many western Caribbean routes over the years on Carnival Cruise Line and Disney Cruise Line, and they never disappoint.
The route usually includes stops at Cozumel, Mexico, and Georgetown, Grand Cayman. But it may also include ports of call at Falmouth, Jamaica; Costa Maya, Mexico; or Roatán, Honduras.
I always get off the ship in Cozumel, even if it's just to have lunch at a taco shop. Don't get lured into the restaurants right at the docks because the best food is in the spots farther down the main street.
I also love getting off in Roatán. On a recent cruise, I took an excursion to Roatan Island Brewing Company to try different beers made with local ingredients.
I also enjoy routes that only stop at private islands.
Every once in a while, I can find a short three-night cruise on Royal Caribbean or Disney that only visits the brand's private islands.
These short cruises are ideal weekend getaways and go to some of my favorite ports of call, like Royal Caribbean's CocoCay and Disney's Castaway Cay.
I love both of these destinations because there's so much to do — you really can spend the entire day at the beach or exploring the various parts of the island. I also love that food and drinks are all provided, so I don't have to return to the ship for lunch.
On the other hand, I don't need to go to Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas again.
I love short cruises from Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but they often mean stopping at Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas .
I don't really think there's much to see at either stop once you've done it once or twice. If my route includes them, I usually stay on the ship to enjoy the less crowded pool and spa.
The trade-off for these two ports is often getting to visit a cruise line's private island , so I think it's worth it for that. But I don't need to go on another long cruise through the Bahamas.
I'm also not a big fan of Bimini, Bahamas.
Many cruise lines, like Carnival and Virgin Voyages , are now taking cruisers to Bimini for an easy beach day. But if you're not a big fan of chilling at the beach, there's not much else to do on the island.
I’d probably skip cruising to Key West.
I love Key West in the Florida Keys , but as a port stop, it was hard to see a lot of the island and explore beyond Duval Street.
I'd prefer to spend a few days in the destination to explore all that it has to offer instead of making it a cruise stop.

Italy is putting a big hybrid floating solar–floating wind farm in the sea
A 540-megawatt (MW) hybrid floating solar–floating wind farm is going to be developed off Italy’s southern coast, in the Ionian Sea.
Dutch-Norwegian offshore solar company SolarDuck , Italian investment fund Arrow Capital, and Italian developer New Developments are jointly developing the Corigliano project, which will be in the Gulf of Taranto off the Calabrian coast of Corigliano-Rossano:
SolarDuck is a spin-off of Damen Shipyards, a major shipbuilder in the Netherlands. It’s tapped into that knowledge to design elevated solar platforms made of offshore-grade aluminum that sit 10 feet (3 meters) off the water to withstand rough waters. The elevation also reduces salt deposits on the solar panels. (Floating solar farms on lakes and ponds tend to sit directly on the water.)
The triangular floating platforms are modular, so they can be connected to form large plants. Plus, the platforms have slip-resistant walkways and fences for access and maintenance.
The hybrid floating solar–floating wind farm will feature 420 MW of offshore wind and 120 MW of floating solar. It will have 28 floating wind turbines, but SolarDuck’s announcement doesn’t indicate who is developing them. We’ve reached out to SolarDuck for details and will update when we hear back.
The Corigliano hybrid floating project is expected to come online in 2028.
SolarDuck is running an up to three-year 5 MW pilot with multinational energy company RWE in the North Sea, 7.5 miles (12 km) from The Hague’s Dutch coast. In December, it secured €15 million in funding, and it’s going to install Japan’s first offshore floating wind farm.

Norwegian Cruise’s stock jumps after company says it expects profit this quarter
Shares of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. rallied toward its biggest gain in 16 months, after the cruise operator provided a surprising profit outlook for the current quarter, citing continued “healthy consumer demand” and record bookings.
The company said it took delivery of three new cruise ships in 2023, which represents the most deliveries in a single year in its 57-year history.
“The company continues to experience healthy consumer demand and is at an all-time high booked position and pricing reflective of some of the best booking weeks in the company’s history beginning with Black Friday and Cyber Monday,” Norwegian said in a statement.
The stock shot up 14.7% in morning trading, which puts it on track for the best one-day performance since it soared 16.8% on Oct. 4, 2022 .
The rally was enough to make it the S&P 500 index’s best performer. It also helped boost the stocks of rival cruise companies, as Carnival Corporation’s climbed 8.3% and Royal Caribbean Group’s gained 5.2%.
For the fourth quarter to Dec. 31, the company said net losses narrowed to $106.5 million, or 25 cents a share, from $482.5 million, or $1.14 a share, in the same period a year ago. Excluding nonrecurring items, the adjusted per-share loss of 18 cents compares with the FactSet loss consensus of 12 cents.
Revenue grew 30.8% to $1.99 billion, above the FactSet consensus of $1.97 billion, as passenger ticket revenue increased 31.8% to $1.33 billion and onboard and other revenue rose 28.7% to $653.4 million.
Occupancy was 99.2%, compared with 106% in the third quarter, as cruises to Israel were canceled and redirected as a result of the ongoing conflict in Israel and disruptions in the Red Sea.
For 2023, occupancy was 102.9%, compared with company guidance of 102.6%.
Read : This is what the Red Sea attacks means for U.S. retailers, says Moody’s .
For the first quarter, the company said it expects adjusted EPS of 12 cents, while the current FactSet consensus is for a loss of 20 cents.
For the full year of 2024, the company expects adjusted EPS of $1.23, which is well above current expectations of $1.21.
Norwegian’s stock has advanced 27.1% over the past three months, while the S&P 500 has gained 11.4%.

Join the Camping Craze for a Fun Total Solar Eclipse Viewing Experience
The april 8 celestial phenomenon is almost here. don’t wait to book your campsite.
Heather Mundt,
Of those intending to witness the total solar eclipse on April 8, 71 percent are leaning toward camping, according to research by Kampgrounds of America (KOA).
“As the sun and moon align, you’re there, right in the middle of it all, perhaps enjoying a campfire and the company of friends or family,” says Erin Stender, chief marketing officer at Campspot, an online reservation platform for booking private campgrounds in North America.

Travelers are craving that very experience, planning outdoor vacations around celestial events in a burgeoning trend known as astrotourism. That’s particularly true for the April 8 event, according to KOA, where 70 percent of campers are booking outdoor vacations specifically to see the eclipse.
There’s still time for you to reserve your site. But not for long.
A phenomenon that occurs when the moon passes between the sun and Earth, causing the moon’s shadow to obscure the sun, a total solar eclipse generates temporary darkness along the path of totality. April’s event will span the U.S. from Texas to Maine and allow 99 percent of residents throughout all 50 states to see the partial or total eclipse from where they live, according to NASA.
Indeed, experts believe conditions for the coming eclipse are so favorable, it may outshine what was dubbed the Great American Eclipse of August 2017.
The path of totality is 72 percent wider than the one seven years ago, according to NASA figures, at most a width of 122 miles versus 71 miles.
“There were approximately 11 million people who lived within the totality zone in 2017,” Joe Rao, associate and guest lecturer at New York’s American Museum of Natural History’s Rose Center for Earth and Space, said in an email interview. “But this year, nearly three times as many people (32 million) will have an opportunity to witness the cosmic vision of a lifetime.”
The 2017 eclipse is especially fresh in our collective memories because it followed a 38-year gap, says Michael Zeiler, eclipse cartographer and cofounder of the Great American Eclipse, a leading online source of solar eclipse information and products. April’s eclipse will last longer: up to 4 minutes and 28 seconds, according to NASA, or about 77 percent longer than in 2017 (2 minutes and 42 seconds).
The wider path, combined with a lengthy duration, may draw up to 4 million spectators, Zeiler says.
“There is a lot of hype around a total solar eclipse,” he says. “But it is the rare phenomenon that lives up to the hype.”

That anticipation is spurring a massive surge of reservations at campgrounds across the U.S.
Stender says prime camping spots offering the best views of the eclipse are in high demand, made all the more so by locations organizing special celestial events and celebrations.

“This turns the eclipse from a mere few minutes of darkness into an opportunity for a unique mini-vacation,” she says.
Campspot’s user searches along the path of totality were up 97 percent in the last quarter of 2023 compared to the same time period in 2022. Reservations for campgrounds in states along the path are also skyrocketing: a 500 percent increase in Arkansas and Vermont; 300 percent in Oklahoma and Ohio; and more than 100 percent in Texas, New York and Missouri, Campspot notes.
Hipcamp, an online marketplace for reserving private campgrounds, shows a 4,000 percent increase in bookings around the April 8 time frame compared to last year. Reservations in states like Ohio and Missouri are approaching 80 percent occupancy.
The enthusiasm is evident in other travel sectors, too. Comparing the same time in 2024 versus 2023, Priceline searches for flights to Indianapolis have spiked more than 2,000 percent, while Buffalo, New York, has seen an 8,000 percent increase in queries on hotels.
Priceline found surges in airfares to destinations such as Austin, Texas, where flights cost more than double the average (and drop 30 percent immediately after the eclipse). Cleveland is seeing a 1,500 percent increase in car-rental demand as well, according to Priceline.
Now you may be asking: Am I too late join in the stellar-themed celebrations?
Not yet, says Kevin Long, CEO of The Dyrt, an online resource for researching, reviewing and booking campsites throughout the U.S. Although most popular national and state campsites were reserved more than a year ago, there’s still inventory for last-minute planners.
“All along the path of totality, sites are booking up fast,” he says.
“While many of the campgrounds on The Dyrt are fully booked April 7–9, 2024, it is still possible to find available campsites at private campgrounds for those dates,” Long says.
Where to find campsites
Long says travelers to Texas are likely to find open campgrounds because the path of totality covers such a large portion of the state. A few other options are camping near the path of totality or considering northern destinations that aren’t as coveted because of colder spring conditions.
Less-searched states at Campspot, for instance, include Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Maine, Stender says.
“It can be tricky to find campgrounds in these locations due to seasonal campground closure/opening times,” she says. “But there are still some spots remaining.”
Although Texas and other warmer-weather states along the path of totality are selling out, according to Hipcamp, Arkansas remains a “hidden gem” with plenty of inventory.
There are also opportunities to reserve KOA sites and cabins.
“We still have several campgrounds with availability along the path of totality, spanning locations like Texas, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and New York,” says Diane Eichler, senior vice president of marketing. “But we strongly encourage travelers in pursuit of a unique viewing experience to secure their bookings now.”
And for those who aren’t planning a camping adventure for the eclipse?
Take a day trip to the path of totality nearest your home, Zeiler says. Just be sure your location’s weather forecast for April 8 predicts clear skies or a low cloud probability. Your plan should also offer quick access to alternative routes in case clouds appear and you need to relocate.
If you miss this event, he says, the March 14, 2025, lunar eclipse is another good opportunity. But for a total solar eclipse, you’ll have to head to Greenland, Iceland or Spain in 2026. Or wait until 2044 for the next one to cross the U.S.
“It’s like a scene from a science fiction movie,” Zeiler says about a total solar eclipse. “It’s unlike anything else you’ve ever seen before.”

Hello! I was curious on everyone's thoughts here - I've noticed an adaptation/evolution of NCL's logo. You may notice on the Prima that the funnel simply has "NCL" and the wave, but does not have the formal NCL logo (blue) like all the other ships in the fleet. I've also noticed this is the same at their new terminal in Miami.
