What time is pick-up and drop-off? Upon reservation, you’ll find the exact information about the closest pick-up point and time to your accommodation. In any case, you can find the approximate pick-up and return times here from the various tourist areas:

*Return times are approximate under normal conditions.

How much will it be between being picked up and when the tour starts? Faced with the option of creating a single meeting point for our convenience or of defining several collection points so you can be picked up at your accommodation or close to it, we have chosen to offer the second option for your convenience. The service is slower, but it will be much more comfortable.

It should be considered that the areas further away from the starting point of the tour are normally the first pick-up areas and the last ones to be dropped off.

Can the described route vary? On special occasions the routes may vary. Due to road closures and other types of force majeure situations, the itinerary may be modified. In these cases, we’ll try to inform you as far in advance as possible.

Are there stops to eat? When can I reserve my food? We will make a long stop to eat. Throughout the excursion, the guide will inform you about the restaurant and mealtimes, as well as the different menus that you can reserve.

Restaurants have been selected considering 3 factors: 1.- It should lie within the tour route, so we don’t waste time traveling to other places. 2.- It should have the capacity and space to feed 50 people at the same time in the shortest time possible. 3.- Quality/price of the service.

How is the reservation payment made? If there are less than 5 people, an amount will have to be paid as a guarantee when making the reservation and the rest will be given to the guide, in cash, when boarding the bus. If there are more than 5 people, the entire reservation will have to be paid when booking.

How can I pay for the reservation? Reservations can be paid by credit or debit card or through PayPal

What happens if I get an error message when booking? Occasionally there may be a problem with your credit card or PayPal account. Please try to reserve again if an error appears, try with another browser or device. If the reservation is still not completed correctly, contact us through our customer service channels.

How will I know that the reservation was made correctly? At the end of the reservation, a locator or reservation number will appear and, in less than 5 minutes, you should receive the booking voucher in your email inbox.

What happens if I have not received the reservation voucher? If you haven’t received an email in your inbox, follow this procedure:

  • Check your spam or junk mailbox.
  • Contact us.

How long in advance should we book? We always recommend booking as far in advance as possible since places are limited, and you could miss out on the excursion.

What happens if, when booking, there are no more places for the day I want to go on the excursion? If you notice that you’re trying to book in a day shaded orange, that’s because there are no more places left. Try to book for another day or click on that day and fill in the form to add yourself to our waiting list in case there’s a cancellation. In more than 50% of the cases we usually find a solution.

How many stops does the tour make? We make quite a few stops to see the places we’ve planned to visit and others to go to the bathroom from time to time.

How will the babies go on the bus? Babies don’t have to pay for this excursion and will go on their parents’ lap.

It’s worth signing up for this type of thing. I was already a little bored on Lanzarote because I had seen everything in 3 days and decided to go on this route to Fuerteventura.

Fuerteventura day trip from Lanzarote

The islands are nothing like each other, each has its charm. My wife loved the birthday gift I gave her.

Good price. They included the boat ride there and back, the air-conditioned bus that I took, the excellent guide … the lunch was not included even though we were there all day, but it’s still worth eating there to try the delicacies of the island.

I almost prefer Fuerteventura to Lanzarote, haha. They are truly very different. Fuerteventura has many stunning beaches that look like the Caribbean, and Lanzarote has many more things to see and has some beautiful things as well. 10/10!!

It’s great that they pick you up from the area where you’re staying. We were in Costa Teguise. I have no complaints for the day.

The beaches are huge, it’s a true Paradise. Also, the guide treated all of us extremely well.

Everything was on time and the visits were just as expected based on the webpage.

Perfect excursion that was very well put together by the company. Many thanks.

Impressive views. Throughout the tour I could see the sea from the road.

You don’t have to get up very early, the day is quite pleasant and I think I remember that we returned around 6-something in the afternoon to catch the ferry back to Lanzarote.

Hemos ido recomendados y nos ha encantado. Solo hubiera faltado que estuviera abierto el mercado de artesanía de Teguise pero no nos cuadró por el día que era.

Great price for everything included.

It seemed like a dream when I was standing on that natural and almost transparent sand. I always wanted to go to the Caribbean, and I was practically there…..

After the tour I came to the conclusion that it would be impossible to live on the island but that for a few weeks on holiday, it’s the best there is.

I have fallen in love with the town of Betancuria. I took thousands of pictures of it, it’s so incredibly beautiful, far from all the noise and with a very peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. There were no hotels so now I don’t know where to stay during my next holiday.

The cheese on Fuerteventura is spectacular, I couldn’t resist and I brought a large chunk home to share with family while showing them my photos.

It’s an island that hasn’t been exploited or built upon very much. It’s well-preserved, as it should be. It was a fabulous day, even if I did get a little sunburnt.

It’s a good thing to do as a family. There’s not much walking and my 7-year-old son was able to do the entire trip. We’ll come back.

Fantastic tour. I liked the idea of visiting another island for a day for a good price. Many thanks.

There are no words for what’s in Corralejo, I have never seen that many dunes close to the coast and beach. It seemed a little exploitive that the road we were on went right through those dunes, but even so it is all very beautiful.

Great trip guys. Thanks for always helping my mother and always being aware of her, I am very grateful.

Very beautiful. It was the only island I hadn’t been to and since I was on Lanzarote and saw this excursion, I had to sign up.

Lanzarote to Fuerteventura Day Trips

An excursion from lanzarote to fuerteventura.

Lanzarote is separated from Fuerteventura by a strait of only 14 kilometers width. Therefore, you can see the neighboring island from the south coast of Lanzarote with the naked eye. Furthermore, the ferries from Playa Blanca to Corralejo only need 25 to 35 minutes to transfer. There is a ferry leaving Lanzarote for Fuerteventura about twice an hour. With such a good ferry connection, a day trip from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura is definitely worthwhile. You start after breakfast and are back at the hotel before dinner. And in between, there is an unforgettable day spent on the big sister island.

Island hopping at least makes one vacation choice easier: Lanzarote or Fuerteventura? Because it makes both possible: Holidays in Lanzarote with a trip or two to Fuerteventura. The second largest of the Canary Islands delights its visitors primarily with miles of absolutely wonderful sandy beaches. For surfers and kiters there are the best wind conditions to practice their favorite sport. Right on the city limits of Corralejo you will find a huge sea of dunes – after all, the largest of the Canaries. Would you like to visit Fuerteventura? Read here how you can organize the trip to Fuerteventura best and what you have to consider so that nothing goes wrong.

Lanzarote Fuerteventura Island Hopping

Some operators offer trips to Fuerteventura as a complete package. This means that you pay the price and you will be picked up from your hotel, taken the ferry to Fuerteventura, carry out your excursion there and then brought back to your hotel in Lanzarote, without any extra costs. Depending on the type of activity, these packages are even cheaper than self-organized day tours. We offer different package tours on our website. Please find a brief description the most popular below:

With the Buggy or the Quad on Fuerteventura on the Way

Day Trip from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura

This is island hopping of the most spectacular kind. The  buggy  or  quads  are all set for you on the other side of the strait. The ferry takes you from Playa Blanca to Corralejo and there you get on your four-wheeled fun mobile. You can then drive off the asphalt roads over dusty off-road slopes past the sights of the big sister island. And all of this is already included in the price: pick-up and drop-off to the hotel, ferry trips back and forth and the exciting buggy or quad tour on Fuerteventura. What are you waiting for?

Boat Trip From Lanzarote to the Coast of Fuerteventura

Day Trip from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura

A real island vacation inevitably includes a beautiful day at sea on a chic yacht or catamaran. Of course, some of the  boat tours  also go from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura. After the impressive sailing tour along the breathtaking coast of the neighboring island, you anchor at one of the heavenly beaches. Fine, white sand and turquoise blue water invite you for a refreshing dip in the cool water. You can snorkel and go by kayak. Or stay on board and enjoy the fantastic view from a comfortable lounger under the warm sun. Meanwhile the crew provides cool drinks and delicious meals.

The island of Isla de Lobos, which is located directly off the coast of Corralejo and belongs to Fuerteventura, is also a popular destination for the boats in Lanzarote. This small, uninhabited island with its special charm attracts countless visitors every day. Let yourself be carried away by the sight of Fuerteventura on a wonderful sunny day.

By Bus From Lanzarote to Fuerteventura

A comfortable, fully air-conditioned bus will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to Playa Blanca first, from where you can then take the ferry. The actual excursion finally starts after the crossing. Once you reach the island, the journey continues by bus. The tour guide is very familiar with the neighboring island and is happy to share all his knowledge about it with you. On your  bus tour  you will visit the most beautiful and important sights in Fuerteventura. In between you have lunch in a restaurant.

The following services are mostly included in the price of such a bus tour: bus transfer, ferry costs, lunch, tour guide, tastings and, depending on the motto of the excursion, entrance fees for museums or parks. If you want to explore the neighboring island in a comfortable manner at an affordable all-in-one price, you are in good hands with a bus tour.

Ferry Lanzarote Fuerteventura

Day Trip from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura

If you don’t feel like joining others on an organized tour, you can easily go solo by ferry from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura. The three providers Naviera Armas, Fred Olsen Express and Lineas Maritimas Romero take turns alternating about every 30 minutes. This timetable applies daily from around 6 a.m. (first ferry to Fuerteventura) to 8 p.m. (last ferry from Fuerteventura). If you go without a vehicle, the return trip for an adult costs between 35 and 60 euros. With a car you have to expect about 80 euros. However, be sure to inquire with your car rental company beforehand whether you can take the rental car to another island. We recommend planning your ferry crossing from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura in the longer term. Visit one of the ferry websites such as  directferries.com . There you will find all information about the ferry times and prices. In addition, you also have the option of directly making the booking.

In the Plane From Lanzarote to Fuerteventura

Day Trip from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura

There are no direct connections by airplane between the two islands; simply because they are positioned too close together. Check-in, boarding and flight would take much longer than the ferry crossing. For this reason, local airlines such as  Binter Canarias  do not offer this. The flight from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura would theoretically be possible with a stopover in Gran Canaria. But that would be too unpractical and take so long that it doubtless is out of the question for anyone. This leaves the option to charter a private plane. On the other hand, for most people, this alternative makes no sense from a financial point of view.

Interesting Facts For the Crossing to Fuerteventura

What is necessary for island hopping.

Day Trip from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura

First of all, you need to be able to identify yourself and your companions. A valid identity card or original passport is mandatory. This also applies to children. You must present these documents when you check in on the ferry. This is the rule for both ferry crossings on your own and with organized tours to Fuerteventura. Therefore, always check our tour descriptions under the menu item “Please Note!” whether you must have documents with you for this excursion and which ones. For example, if you take a boat trip to the neighboring island without going ashore, your papers are not required.

In addition, for ferry crossings on your own, we recommend that you arrive at the port at least one hour before departure. Because checking in takes time and there can also be longer waiting times in front of the counters. Boarding can also take a long time, especially if you want to take your rental car with you. All this “paperwork” is unnecessary when you book an organized tour. Because the operator gets all the necessary data in advance and can already prepare everything for the ferry crossing. And then you will only be picked up from your hotel and you do not have to worry about anything else, except that you have your original IDs with you.

What Should You Pay Attention to When Booking?

From Lanzarote to Fuerteventura

Before you leave for your vacation to Lanzarote, you should think carefully about when you want to take the trip to the neighboring island. Take the time to compare the individual offers to find the right one for you and your family. The trip will definitely be less stressful for you if you book an organized tour to Fuerteventura, as the operator takes care of all the necessary formalities for the ferry crossing.

Check which services are included in the price for the tours. Most of the time, children pay less than adults. Pay attention to the age at which the children’s price no longer applies. It is best to book your desired excursion in advance, as during peak seasons it can happen that all tickets are sold out days in advance. It is also important to know whether and which documents you need to carry with you.

The Canary Islands Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are waiting for you. Have a great time.

Fuerteventura to Lanzarote Day Trips

Leave in the morning and get back in the evening. And in the meantime you have the opportunity to extensively explore Lanzarote. You will find that the Isle of Fire is very special.

Lanzarote or Fuerteventura? Many people are already asking themselves this question when planning their vacation. But why chose only one island if you can have both, at least for a day? You have the opportunity to experience the fourth largest Canary Island on a day trip from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote. Fire and ashes formed this extraordinary island, which was the first island to be declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in its entirety. There are several different ways to get from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote. You can find out what these are and what you need to consider when island hopping in the following article.

Fuerteventura to Lanzarote

Fuerteventura Lanzarote – 2 Islands – 1 Day

Organized day trips from fuerteventura to lanzarote.

The simplest and in some ways also the cheapest option are organized day trips from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote. In any case, it will be cheaper if you take into account the various services included in such a day tour. Different types of guided tours are offered. We will now briefly discuss the most interesting ones.

A Bus Trip from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote

Fuerteventura to Lanzarote

The most comfortable way to get to know the fire island is in a comfortable and air-conditioned coach. He will pick you up at your hotel and after the ferry crossing; you will continue your comfortable air-conditioned journey. The tour guide takes care of everything, including the “paperwork” on the ferry. Once you arrive in Lanzarote you will visit the different emblematic places over there depending on the chosen  bus tour . The tour guide will provide you with all the information about what you see. The included services of such a bus excursion mostly are the costs for the ferry, lunch, tastings, the tour guide and in some cases also the entrance fees for various museums or paid sights. A bus trip from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote is worthwhile for all those who prefer an all-around package and want to get to know as much from the neighboring island as possible in one day.

A Boat Trip from Fuerteventura to the Coast of Lanzarote

Fuerteventura to Lanzarote boat

As is well known, the Canary Islands Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are both surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. Therefore, a vast variety of  boat tours  are offered off the coast of Fuerteventura. Some of them even lead a little further away to Lanzarote. Starting from the port of Corralejo you will either go on tour by catamaran or yacht. And many of these excursion boats also anchor in front of the famous Papagayo beaches. There are beautiful, partly natural sandy beaches in eight separate bays. You will be able to visit them by simply swimming across from the boat. Other boats moor in the port of Playa Blanca so that you can visit this beautiful former fishing village, stroll over the market or have a nice meal there. Depending on the type of boat excursion, food and drinks, snorkeling or kayaking equipment and entertainment programs are included in the price. In some cases,  water sports activities  such as jet skiing can be booked on board. If you like the sea, enjoy the view of an island from the water and want to experience an extraordinary vacation day, you should definitely consider a boat tour to Lanzarote.

The Ferry from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote

Fuerteventura to Lanzarote boat

If you prefer to travel the island on your own, you can take a ferry from Corralejo to Playa Blanca. There are three different companies: Naviera Armas, Fred Olsen Express and Lineas Maritimas Romero, of which Lineas Maritimas Romero are not transporting vehicles. The prices for an adult without a car are between 35 and 60 euros for a return trip. With a car it costs around 80 euros. According to the timetable, you can assume that there is a ferry leaving every 30 minutes. The crossing takes between 25 and 45 minutes, depending on the provider. The first ferry leaves from Fuerteventura around 6 a.m in the morning and the last one from Lanzarote goes back around 8 p.m. The best thing to do is to inquire about prices and times in advance on one of the relevant ferry booking portals, such as  directferries.com , and you can also make a fix booking on there.

By Plane from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote

Fuerteventura to Lanzarote boat

Unfortunately there are no direct flights between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. Even the so-called island hoppers like  Binter Canarias  do not offer connections between the two Canary Islands. With Binter, for example, you can fly from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote with a stopover in Gran Canaria. But you can see that this is not really worth it. If you like it very exclusive and have the appropriate financial means at your disposal, you can charter a private plane. But we are talking about upper 4- to 5-digit euro amounts, consequently this option is probably not suitable for most people.

This Has to Be Considered

What is important for island hopping.

Fuerteventura to Lanzarote boat

The most important thing you need to have with you, to get from one island to another, is your documents; i.e. your identity card or passport. You won’t get on any ferry without them. This applies to all travelers, including any  children traveling  with you. If you want to take a ferry to Lanzarote on your own, you should be at the port about one hour before the scheduled departure. This is necessary because your boarding pass has to be printed and your documents have to be checked. Depending on the time of day, there can be long queues in front of the counters. And boarding also takes some time, especially if you travel with a car. But if you take part in an organized tour, this process is less complicated. You will be informed about your pick-up time at your hotel with the reservation confirmation. You can find out whether you need your papers for one of the tours in the detailed descriptions of the tours under “Please note!”. You will only need to provide documents, if a there is a ferry crossing included in a tour. For boat trips with catamarans or yachts, for example, these are not necessary.

What should you pay attention to when booking?

Fuerteventura to Lanzarote

Our recommendation is to book your trip from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote days, better weeks in advance. It doesn’t matter whether you choose an organized day tour or a trip on your own. By doing this, you have time to compare the offers carefully and to check which services are included and what it will cost you and your family at the end. Also pay attention to the age from which you have to pay for children and the age up to which the children’s price applies. In the high seasons, such as the summer holidays and the winter half-year, tours and ferries are sometimes fully booked up. If you decide to take a trip at short notice, you might be unlucky. And finally: Find out what exactly you will need to have.

We wish you a wonderful time on both Canary Islands: Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.

Take a tour from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote and discover the most interesting sites in a single day.

We propose 4 tours around Lanzarote, which include different routes, so you can choose the one that catches your attention the most.

tour lanzarote e fuerteventura

Even though all the tours start and end in Lanzarote, we’ll provide you with all the information you need so that you can get from the Corralejo pier, in northern Fuerteventura, to the Playa Blanca pier, in southern Lanzarote, on your own.

Where to catch the ferry from Corralejo to Playa Blanca?

Two ferry companies travel from the Corralejo pier to the Playa Blanca pier and back. The approximate sailing time between both ports is just 35 minutes and you can check the departure times for both companies and book your ticket here: Fred Olsen and Naviera Armas .

Before booking your tickets, check the tour’s departure and return times and make sure to book at times when you can arrive with ease, since both the ferries and tours can suffer unforeseen events.

Where will I be picked up in Playa Blanca?

During the reservation process you’ll need to write, as a meeting point, “CICAR Dock Playa Blanca” . With few exceptions, the pick-up time for all tours is 10:10 a.m. at the Playa Blanca Pier bus stop. In the reservation voucher you’ll find a picture and a map that will help you locate the bus stop, which is about 200 meters from the dock.

playa blanca pick up

Lanzarote’s main attractions

Due to the high number of interesting places to visit, Lanzarote is a theme park in itself. Below we present the 6 most outstanding sites, so that you can choose a route.

Timanfaya National Park

The Timanfaya National Park is Lanzarote’s great landscape pride, and that’s why all the tours propose a visit to the park.

In this 51 square km site, you can find 25 active volcanoes, even though the last eruption was in 1824.

Visita guiada al Parque Nacional de Timanfaya

During the tour to Timanfaya we will travel the 14 km Volcano Route so you can contemplate the spectacular landscape that has been formed by craters, lava and rocks.

Montañas de Fuego

In the place known as the Islet of Hilario, you will discover that volcanic activity is still latent in the area through different experiments and why this area is also known as the Fire Mountains.

Experimentos con el calor de Timanfaya

*All tours, except in Lanarote Highlights tour, include a stop in the park so you can enjoy one of the most demanded activities on the island: a camel ride in the Timanfaya National Park. Camel riding is optional.

Paseo a camello por Timanfaya

Jameos del Agua

The Jameos del Agua are a great work by the artist César Manrique. In this volcanic tube area, caused by the eruption of the Corona Volcano more than 3,000 years ago, the brilliant artist managed to merge both nature and art in a unique space in this world.

Los Jameos de César Manrique

When visiting the Jameos del Agua you’ll find a compound made up of an indoor auditorium, an outdoor pool and a beautiful indoor lake inhabited by albino crabs known as jameitos.

The Green Cave

Like the Jameos del Agua, the Cueva de los Verdes (Green Cave) is part of the volcanic tube that was created by the eruption of the Corona Volcano.

During your visit to Cueva de los Verdes we’ll travel through approximately 1 km of underground galleries of various levels and heights, some including cavities, greater than 50 meters.

Cueva de los Verdes

You cannot leave Cueva de los Verdes without discovering the secrets it holds.

** This visit is not recommended for people with reduced mobility, due to the steepness of some of the steps, or for people with severe claustrophobia.

The Green lagoon

Like almost all tourist attractions in Lanzarote, the Laguna Verde, also known as the Charco de los Clicos, Lago Verde or Laguna de El Golfo, has a volcanic origin. In this area, declared a Nature Reserve, you’ll find a lagoon whose green color contrasts with the black volcanic sand that surrounds it, as well as the blue of the sea which lies near the lake.

Charco verde en Lanzarote

La Geria is the wine-growing area of Lanzarote and here you’ll find the vines of the two most prestigious varieties that hold the Lanzarote Denomination of Origin: Muscatel and Malvasia.

Cultivos de La Geria

During your visit to La Geria you’ll see how the vines are cultivated, buried in conical holes in volcanic soil and protected by stone walls to shelter them from the wind.

Los Hervideros

Located on the southwest coast of Lanzarote and very close to the Timanfaya National Park you’ll find these volcanic lava cavities through which, when the tide is high and the sea water penetrates through them, water is forcefully expelled through its cavities towards the surface.

Fuerteventura tour from Lanzarote

What to expect.

Fuerteventura is the second island in extension of the Canary Islands with its 150 kilometres length . It is impossible to cover it all in one day, but this guided tour gives a good approach to its history, customs and habits, lifestyle and future projection. The tourism industry, (we will see an example in Corralejo), makes it increasingly known in Europe, first for its beaches, but also for its interior and protected areas, since it has recently been declared Reserve of the Biosphere.

We will see the contrasts in its interior visiting Betancuria , the old capital, the town of Pájara , and its areas of wild mountains and viewpoints, but also beach areas like Las Dunas de Corralejo . The island moves in its interior betting on rural tourism, the cultivation of aloe vera, tomatoes or the recent implantation and production of extra virgin olive oil.

A long day, with infinite and desert roads, but satisfactory in terms of knowledge and discovery that may make Fuerteventura your island in the Canaries, to enjoy your next vacation.
