You Don't Have to Wait in Line to Buy Taylor Swift's Eras Merch

Meet her at midnight. With her highly anticipated Eras Tour in full swing, demand for Taylor Swift's new merchandise is at an all-time high. But the good news is, you don't have to endure hours in line to secure the latest apparel. The new collection features hoodies, crewnecks, and T-shirts with a colorful grid depicting 10 different versions of Swift — one for each of her studio albums. And most of the items are easily accessible from her website .

In addition to the rainbow graphics, the Eras Tour merch also includes simpler styles like washed blue hoodies with classic black lettering, a white hoodie with a black-and-white collage of Swift, and cropped pullovers in beige and lavender. Fans of certain eras can also purchase shirts dedicated to specific albums, including a sweet pink heart graphic for "Lover," a collage of memorable costumes for "1989," and a navy clock illustration for "Midnights."

Swifties can also find accessories such as a multicolored "bejeweled" bracelet with rainbow stones and a two-toned poncho emblazoned with photos of the singer. Prices range from $10 to $75, and while additional exclusive pieces of merch may be available at the venue the day of the show, this is a great place to start for people who already know what they want (or didn't get that elusive presale code).

Swift previously dropped limited-edition merch in honor of her "Midnights" release, showcasing ten miniature versions of herself in outfits from various points in her life. She also put out clothing for the albums preceding "Midnights," including cute cardigans for "Folklore" and a snake-themed launch for "Reputation." Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Outfits: See All the Looks She's Worn on Stage, Divided by Eras

Taylor Swift's long-awaited Eras Tour has finally started and the singer is delivering on all fronts — from performance to vocals and, of course, fashion.

On opening weekend, Taylor Swift gave us plenty of whimsical, elegant, and nostalgic looks as we traveled with her through the eras of her career. She wore a handful of familiar styles, with slight tweaks to fit her current style, and gave us plenty of sparkle and shine. Throughout 15+ more stop stops (and counting), Taylor has given us even more memorable fashion moments.

If you are scouring the internet to find out where each look is from, fret not. Here's a look at all the looks Taylor Swift has from during her Eras Tour — from opening night in Glendale, Arizona, to some of her most recent shows in New Jersey and Chicago — and what you can expect to see her wear if you plan on attending one of the upcoming shows.

1. Lover era

The first era is  Lover , a time that signified growth, comfort, and basking in the glow of the daylight. Taylor starts the night off in a  custom Versace bodysuit , bright and bold. She pairs it with an equally shiny pair of  custom, studded Louboutin boots . Night one's bodysuit was a playful, iridescent purple color, and she opted for a slightly more elegant, gold-colored one for the second night of the Eras tour kickoff weekend. 

The shoes are sparkly, but they aren't really the star of the show until she puts on a blazer, also studded, and also Versace, and performs "The Man." The shoes instantly grabbed the spotlight as she kicked her heels up and flashed the red bottoms. This is the first of several pairs of custom Louboutins that Taylor wears throughout the night – they're the  sole footwear provider for the tour , just like during the  Reputation  tour.

At her show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the star debuted a new Versace bodysuit that sparkled even brighter than the original one she wore. There are brighter crystals, shining in purple, and extra details, like tassels down her thigh. She paired the new bodysuit with a pair of ombré bedazzled Versace heels, also in purple. Adorning her neck was the Versace Crystal Butterflies Chain Necklace to complete the look.

2. Fearless era

In a seamless transition to the era that sealed the deal for her as a stage performer and style icon, the  Fearless  era portion of the night brought back shimmery dresses made to move around. The boots stay on, but she trades out the sparkly bodysuit to dance in a storm in her best dress. 

One of the big themes in her clothes throughout the night is fringe, which becomes an accessory to the singer as she moves around the stage and dances around singing her best hits. This  custom Roberto Cavalli dress  allows her to do just that, move around freely and shine bright. 

On the second night of the tour, Taylor opted for fringe down the legs in  another Roberto Cavalli custom dress  embellished with Swarovski crystals. Again, the movements looked just as mesmerizing in this dress as the first night. 

As the tour has continued, Taylor has debuted another equally stunning dress to embody the  Fearless era. The dress is similar to her custom Roberto Cavalli dress with fringe down her leg, but in silver.

3. Acoustic interlude

During the opening night, Taylor referenced her debut era playing her first-ever hit song, "Tim McGraw." This era falls into an acoustic set, where Taylor does one of her favorite things: She plays two surprise songs each night to give every fan a unique experience during the show they choose to attend.  The acoustic, slowed-down portion of the show gives the fans a breather, a time to connect with their favorite singer as she’s able to take a seat at the piano and chat with the crowd before she gives a surprise performance. 

During this segment, she has so far worn a  Jessica Jones  dress with ruffles that hug her frame as she sits by the piano. The first night she wore a magenta-colored version of the dress. On night two, it was green. We first wondered if we'd see more colors as the tour continued and TSwift delivered. She’s also worn the stunning dress in a yellow shade as well.

4. evermore era

Next up is  evermore  era, for which Taylor wears a simple but bright mustard dress from  Etro , also custom. To perform the songs from this quaint but grand era, the stage is set with trees along a foggy backdrop. The tone of the show shifts here. This is where Taylor gets to sit at the piano and commandeer the crowd with her lyrics. There is no need for fringe and sparkles as the crowd sings along at the top of their lungs to "champagne problems" to accompany her.

5. Reputation era

During the  Reputation  tour, Taylor made a bold choice to abandon the pants and embrace the bodysuit. She brings that energy back to represent this era with one of the fiercest ones we've ever seen her in; an asymmetrical, show-stopping  black and red colored custom Roberto Cavalli one . As we've realized by now, nothing on this tour will be dull on the sparkle, and this number features sequins studded along the leg in that infamous snake pattern familiar to this era.

6. Speak Now era

To sing one singular song from the  Speak Now  era, the fan-favorite "Enchanted," Taylor emerges ready to impress. You can't help but be enchanted by the soft glow reflecting off the sparkles of the  Nicole + Felicia Couture bespoke gown  she's wearing. This is reminiscent of the Valentino gown she wore when she sang this song on the  Speak Now  tour but grander, and of course, with more bling. 

On night two of the tour in Glendale, Arizona, Taylor switched up this look and gave the audience an equally shiny but slightly different look, opting for a  Zuhair Murad Couture custom gown  with a starburst design embellishment.

This portion of the show is where she’s been able to switch it up the most. As the tour progressed, the star has given us plenty of glorious gowns to “ooh” and “aah” at. Another Zuhair Murad Couture custom gown was added to the  Speak Now era collection, with thousands of sequins sewn on in a starburst design.

Some nights, she graces the stage in an Elie Saab Fall 2020 Couture gown that is full of tulle and drama. Other nights, she opts for something a bit more simple, but elegant: an Ellie Saab Couture gown from Fall/Winter 2022, straight from the runway that has fabric flowers sewn down the bottom half of the dress. This dress’s train drags behind her as she walks down the catwalk of the massive stage softly and slowly, matching the tone of the song.

The next era is introduced in a spirited manner as Taylor revisits a popularly recreated look: the "Not A Lot Going On At The Moment" T-Shirt from the "22" music video. This look is paired with a Gladys Tamez hat that she gives to a lucky audience member during the performance.

On the second night of the tour, she opted to poke a bit of fun at herself with a T-shirt that read "Who's Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew" after lyrics from the song "22" instead.

As the North American tour reached its halfway point, she introduced another shirt that says, “We Are Never Getting Back Together, Like Ever.” The sequined shirts are all  custom by Ashish , who also made the original shirt in the “22” music video. Once the t-shirt is removed, a beautiful red-to-black ombré bodysuit is revealed, fittingly so for the  Red  era. 

When it's time to sing her magnum opus, "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)," a sparkly red overcoat is added atop the already striking bodysuit. She puts her best foot forward for a song that has a story as remarkable as her career, with a red guitar to match.

She also used this time, for the first half of the tour, to bring out her collaborator and tour opener  Phoebe Bridgers to sing their acoustic and emotional song “Nothing New.” On Bridgers’s last night on the Eras tour, Swift showed off a chain around her neck that held a small pendant. It was later revealed that the pendant was the  Give You The Moon Charm from Phoebe Bridgers’ Catbird collection. Her footwear for this portion of the show is a seemingly comfortable pair of  loafers from Louboutin .

8. folklore era

For the  folklore  portion, we see the singer in a beautiful, muted  purple Alberta Ferretti dress  full of ruffles and flares. It's "fairy in the woods meets cozy baking in a cottage," which are exactly the right vibes of this imaginative and rustic era. 

During her performance of "august," Taylor uses body movements across the stage to express her frustration, and the lavender-toned dress added the perfect amount of drama and flair to the performance. As she moved, the  chiffon fabric  moved along with her seamlessly. On night two, she wore a similarly graceful  Alberta Ferretti dress , but in white. It had curtain drapes with delicate hanging threads, adding a  beautiful texture  to its movement.

Taylor loves to swiftly move around the stage in various Alberta Ferretti dresses during the most emotional portions of the  folklore  era. She’s shown us two more versions of custom dresses that were created for this portion of the show. 

9. 1989 era

As the night progresses, we see more and more fringe. How else would we see the iconic "Shake It Off" movements except in another  Roberto Cavalli custom two-piece set  covered in chunky fringe with sequins in various shapes and sizes? This look is similar to what the singer wore on her  1989  tour.

On the first night of the tour, the co-ord set was  magenta . On the second night of the tour, she swapped it for the same set, except in bright green.

As the tour has continued, the pop queen has added an additional color to the 1989 co-ord repertoire. We’ve now seen the same Roberto Cavalli set in orange as well. How many colors will we see in total throughout the tour?

10. Midnights era

As we reach the present-day era,  Midnights , we get to the peak of extravagance and pomp. It's time to celebrate the eras past that have allowed Taylor to become the artist and performer she is today. The dress she chose to perform the culmination of her career is a custom  Oscar De La Renta  that's looser fitting but still heavy and studded in iridescent crystals. It's paired with a new set of custom Louboutins studded in black crystals. To add more drama, she has a fur coat on, also a custom piece from Oscar De La Renta. Everything about this look screams "Bejeweled," a song placed near the end of the setlist but a vibe that's exuded for the entirety of the night. 

As this era progresses, she sheds layers. The dress is shed to reveal an  Oscar De La Renta custom bodysuit , an article of clothing she seems to be very comfortable performing in. This time, there's black detailing. It's soft but striking and just sexy enough to perform the Cell Block Tango-esque choreography to "Vigilante Sh*t" with chairs and all. She even added a garter to her thigh to give a bit of a sexy edge to complete the look.

To finish off the show, another layer is added with even more fringe and even more sparkle, if that's even possible. This multi-colored statement piece is fabulous, and it's a perfect way to physically represent just what the last three hours and 15 minutes were all about: Taylor celebrating and shining with the 70,000 other people in the room with her.

How to visit Sergiev Posad from Moscow

If you have a car, there’s free ample parking about fifteen minutes away, close to Hotel Optimalniy.  To visit Sergiev Posad from Moscow, you can take the express train towards Aleksandrov and get off at Sergiev Posad.

Alternatively, you can take the suburban train from Yaroslavsky train station.  (You may need to ask for help at the ticket booth as I personally struggled with the suburban ticket machine.)

If you’re less keen on figuring out the trains, you can take a private tour of Sergiev Posad from Moscow, including transport .

History of Sergiev Posad

Sergiev Posad was originally a lavra. A lavra is monastery with with cells to enable monks to have time to privately reflect on religion.  Sergiev Posad was founded in 1337 by St Sergius of Radonezh.  St. Serguis is one of the most well known Russian saints who went to become a monk together with his brother and decided to build this lavra in a secluded forest to enable them to reflect more on religion.  After, this time other monks chose to join their lavra.  In 1345, the lavra became a monastery, which had a small wooden church at its core.

In 1408, the monastery was burned down by the Tatars although it was rebuilt again. By the 1500s, Sergiev Posad held the Moscow Patriarchate and it became one of the most important places in the Russian Orthodox religion.

Eventually, the lavra turned into a posad.  A posad is a fortified settlement that that adjoins a monastery.  These craftsmen and merchants often created their own shops in the surrounding area.  This was the basis of the city of Sergiev Posad, which surrounds the monastery today.  Even Ivan the Terrible came here for a blessing. Sidenote:  Ivan Vasilievich Changes Profession  (a Soviet movie filmed in 1973) was filmed in an almost identical location.)

In a later period, the walls kept out an army with over 30,000 soldiers.  As a result, it was often a hiding place for royal family members.  Luckily, this stunning monastery survived the Stalin era with its icons intact. The most famous icon at Sergiev Posad is the Trinity, which was painted by famous Russian painter Andrei Rublev.

What you need to know before visiting Sergiev Posad

Avoid major Russian holidays and popular tourist holidays.

Did you really think that one of the major Russian Orthodox monasteries outside of Moscow wouldn’t be visited by many tourists? It’s a popular destination with tour bus groups visiting Russia from all over the world.  You can avoid the bulk of the tourist groups by visiting early or late in the day as most groups will visit in the early afternoon.

Be  very careful about when you visit as there will be major crowds if you overlap with a major Orthodox holiday.  In particular, the Russian Christmas season and Easter season are popular times to visit Sergiev Posad as the monastery is a major place for pilgrims.

I visited after New Year’s Eve in the week leading up to Orthodox Christmas.  It was busier than usual with pilgrims, according to my friend, so check the Orthodox calendar before you visit.

You  must  dress appropriately.

The Trinity Monastery of St. Sergius is one of the most holy places in the Russian Orthodox Church, so you must think about what you wear.  Even if you visit in winter, you’ll want to dress warmly as the Russian winters live up to their reputation.

In winter, appropriate dress isn’t as much an issue, however I was actually a bit self conscious about my hair showing as many women had their hair covered.   I also saw many women in long skirts although it’s not required.

I’d recommend avoiding skimpy clothes and/or ripped clothes.   If you’re a woman visiting in non-winter months, I’d recommend wearing a long skirt and wearing something to cover your shoulders/arms with .

In winter, bring a baklava (if you struggle with breathing in cold air), warm gloves that allow you to use your camera/phone (I prefer leather gloves with a wool lining) , a hat , a good winter coat , and a good scarf.   You’ll spend most of your time walking around the grounds, so it’s important to dress warmly.  I was wearing jeans with tights underneath in addition to regular sneakers although winter boots are a good idea.

Bring cash for food

We had several issues at the monastery where the restaurants didn’t accept cards.  Simply, bring cash if you intend to buy things although the official gift shop accepted credit cards.  At the gift shop, you can purchase a number of souvenirs, including intricately wooden souvenirs as well as religious texts.

Buy bread and dumplings

Although a couple of people online complained about the high prices at the restaurant by the monastery, I was very pleased to have the tea as well as the dumplings on the cold day that I visited.   The monastery bread is famous among Russians and absolutely delicious, so be sure to follow the lead of the locals. (The restaurant near the entrance was cash only at the time that I visited earlier this year.)

Be careful with your selfie sticks & respect pilgrims/monks

Many people are here to pray, so be careful with your selfie sticks as they’re not appreciated here due to the crowds. Similarly, try to be respectful of those in prayer as this is truly a very meaningful pilgrimage location.

The water is holy!

There’s a famous well here–and it’s considered good luck to purchase holy water at St Sergius Lavra.  The water is considered to be holy as one of the first to drink the water was a blind monk who was cured after drinking it. (You can purchase it at the gift shop.)

Most buildings aren’t for the general public, only pilgrims

You will see a lot of people lined up around the grounds of St. Serguis Lavra at some of the smaller chapels intended for the general public as the main churches are intended for monks.  Most of these people are awaiting blessings.  If you’re not Russian Orthodox, abstain from waiting in line as you are not allowed to take photos inside.  Behind the most beautiful buildings, you’ll see the seminary as well as a number of buildings reserved for monks/pilgrims, rather than the general public.

Visit the museum to see the treasures

You can book a tour of the monastery by the monks in English by reserving ahead on their website or calling one of the numbers on their websites to book an excursion.  Be sure to book in advance as this is popular and not that many tours are offered. Phone number to call: 8 (496) 540-57-21

If you’re interested in viewing some of the 120,000+ artifacts that are housed here, be sure to visit the museum of church treasures behind the Trinity cathedral, which costs an entry fee.  The main monastery is free to visit, so this is a good deal by comparison.

History of Klin

14th century.

The first mention of Klin was made in the Nikon Chronicle under the year 1317 when Prince Yuri Danilovich of Moscow arrived in Klin from Dmitrov. The city was founded on the banks of the River Sestra.

15th Century

In 1408 the city was sacked by the Tatars led by Edigu during his rampage against Rus lands. Klin was then part of the Tver Principality, and since it was located between Moscow and Tver it was often involved in the struggles between the two rival Russian principalities. Eventually in 1482 , along with the rest of the Tver Principality, Klin was absorbed into the Moscow Principality.

16th Century

Ivan the terrible and the oprichniki.

Under Tsar Ivan the Terrible, Klin suffered greatly at the hands of the feared oprichniki. In the autumn of 1569 a group of oprichniki numbered in their thousands and led by the tsar himself set off to punish Novgorod Veliky for its perceived treachery. On their way they passed through Klin and, as a foretaste of what was awaiting Novgorod, they ravaged the town and killed it citizens. Later in 1572 Tsar Ivan the Terrible granted Klin and the surrounding lands to his son Ivan. Later these lands were then given as inherited estates to the Romanov noble family.

17th Century

Time of troubles.

During the Time of Troubles in 1617 , Klin was besieged by Polish Interventionists. However the defence of the city was led by Prince Dmitri Petrovich Pozharsky-Lopata (not to be confused with the Time of Troubles hero with almost the same name). Under Pozharsky-Lopata's leadership the Polish siege proved unsuccessful.

Angels and artillery: a cathedral to Russia's new national identity

Cathedral of the Armed Forces blends militarism, patriotism and Orthodox Christianity to controversial effect

The imagery inside Russia’s vast Cathedral of the Armed Forces blends militarism, patriotism and Orthodox Christianity to breathtaking and highly controversial effect.

An hour’s drive from Moscow, the cathedral has a metallic, khaki-green exterior, topped with golden domes and crosses that rise to 95 metres (312ft). Inside is the largest amount of mosaic of any church in the world, with many of the work depicting battles from Russian history and the second world war in particular.

During Vladimir Putin’s two decades in charge of Russia, the Soviet victory in the Great Patriotic War, as the second world war is still called here, has gradually become the main building block of a new Russian national identity. Now, the war victory has its own religious shrine, and when future historians look back at the Putin era, they may well decide that this cathedral is its defining building.

Soviet war medals are rendered in stained glass on the ceilings, while mosaics show various key battles. Symbolic numbers have been coded into the dimensions – the diameter of the main dome, for example, is 19.45 metres. Trophy weapons and tanks seized from the Wehrmacht were melted down and used in the creation of the cathedral’s metal floors.

“Think of this as you step into the cathedral. As you walk across the floors, you are symbolically delivering a blow to the fascist enemy,” a guide told a tour group of older women in headscarves as they entered the building earlier this month.

The cathedral was the brainchild of Russia’s defence minister, Sergei Shoigu, and the opening was originally planned for the 75th anniversary of victory over the Nazis, in May. In the end, owing to the coronavirus pandemic, the ceremonial opening was delayed until June. Shoigu, Putin, and the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow attended the opening, on 22 June, the anniversary of the Nazi attack on the Soviet Union in 1941.

“Only a nation that loves God could build such a grand cathedral,” said Bishop Stefan of Klin, who heads the Russian Orthodox church’s department for cooperation with the army and regularly holds services at the cathedral, where he is the patriarch’s designated representative.

The 59-year-old bishop, who was an officer in the Soviet and Russian missile defence forces before becoming a priest, defended the use of Soviet symbols, saying the cathedral depicted “all the epochs of our state, Holy Rus” and it would be wrong to leave out the second world war, given how many Soviet soldiers were religious.

But the imagery has proved controversial. “For many priests, who were young in the 1970s and 1980s and personally came up against the repressive Soviet machine, which targeted the church, they are in shock and they can’t get over it,” said Sergei Chapnin, a religious scholar in Moscow. “This is not really an Orthodox cathedral, it’s a cathedral of our new post-Soviet civil religion,” he added.

Some minor changes have been made after the original outcry earlier this year, most notably the removal of a mosaic about the Kremlin’s 2014 seizure of Crimea that featured images of Putin and Shoigu.

“It was the wish of our president, who is so modest that he thought it wasn’t right for him to be represented on the mosaic, to remove it,” said Stefan. The mosaic detailing the Crimea events now has no Putin, but does depict the infamous “little green men” – Russian special forces, without insignia, who ran the annexation of the peninsula and whose presence in Crimea was initially denied by the Kremlin.

In a large mosaic devoted to the Soviet and Russian armies since the second world war, two angels look down at a group of soldiers carrying modern weapons, and there is a list of commemorated conflicts, ending with “forcing peace on Georgia” in 2008, “the return of Crimea” in 2014 and the “fight against international terrorism” in Syria. There is space for future conflicts to be added.

The panel also lists the two Russian wars in Chechnya, as well as Soviet military interventions to crush the Hungarian revolution in 1956 and the Prague spring in 1968, and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Asked if the church really wanted to suggest that all these interventions were sacred, Stefan said it was wrong to focus on particular conflicts.

“We are not talking about the geopolitical background at any particular time, we are talking about the fact that our armed forces have sacred help from above, from God and from the heavenly saints. That’s what the cathedral is about.”

The cathedral is located at Patriot Park, a “military Disneyland” that was opened by Putin five years ago . Three years ago, Shoigu was among 5,000 spectators who watched a re-enactment of the 1945 storming of the Reichstag at the park , involving tanks, planes and a giant model of the Berlin parliamentary building.

With the opening of the cathedral, there are even more options for a family day out. About 20,000 visitors a day have visited on recent weekends, and even on a Tuesday afternoon this week there were hundreds of people inside the cathedral, and many taking excursions.

Wrapped around the cathedral’s perimeter, in a mile-long horseshoe, is a bombastic, interactive museum called 1418 Steps to Victory – one step for each day of the Soviet war effort – that opened at the same time as the cathedral. Many of the rooms have computer-game-style recreations of episodes from the war playing out on huge screens, and some also have temperature and “smell” elements. Children can pose for photographs with a mannequin of a surrendering Nazi soldier, and there are jigsaw puzzles, souvenir mugs and toy missile launchers for sale in the gift shop.

But while there are plenty of war museums in Russia the cathedral is something altogether new, making explicit the quasi-religious subtext of the way the war is remembered in Russia.

Dmitry, a 28-year-old altar server working at the cathedral, claimed that the military and religious images on its mosaics, far from being a jarring combination, are in fact a perfect fit: “In the war, our soldiers martyred themselves so that we could be free and independent. Only Russians are capable of sacrificing themselves to save humanity, just like Jesus did.”

Moscow Patriarchate removed Metropolitan Leonid of Klin from his position as Patriarchal Exarch of Africa

Metropolitan Leonid of Klin submitted a report to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia outlining the reasons that prevent him from fulfilling his duties as Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, on October 11, 2023.

The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church decided to remove Metropolitan Leonid from this position. They expressed gratitude for his work and informed him that he would temporaryly remain in post in the Yerevan-Armenian Diocese.

Bishop Constantine of Zaraysk was appointed as Patriarchal Exarch of Africa replacing him.

It is recalled that Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria had sent a letter to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow in which he insisted in a very strict tone that if he would not withdraw the “Exarch” Metropolitan Klin from Africa and would not lift his relevant appointment, he would proceed to his deposition.

In his letter, Patriarch Theodore pointed out once again the non-canonical in every sense of Orthodox Ecclesiology, decision of the Holy Synod of the Church of Russia, regarding the establishment of an “Exarchate” in the canonical territory of the Patriarchate of Alexandria.

The Patriarch of Alexandria clarified that we “tolerate” the non-existent creation of an “Exarchate”, awaiting the revocation of the decision, without imposing an ecclesiastical ransom on Metropolitan Klin.

Therefore, the Standing Holy Synod of the Church of Greece had made known the removal of the Metropolitan.

However, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church had declared the decision of the Patriarchate of Alexandria to remove Metropolitan Leonid of Klin as non-canonical and, therefore, invalid .
