This tour includes; Lake Ballard Art Installation, Esperance boat cruise, Super Pit in Kalgoorlie, National ANZAC Centre, Torndirrup National Park, Historic Whaling Station, Australian Wildlife Park, Kalgoorlie to Perth train journey, motel accommodation, plus seven evening meals and seven breakfasts.

Leaving Perth you travel via Albany Highway through Kojonup and Mount Barker to Albany and take in the sights of Albany including the ANZAC Centre.

Explore the majestic beaches of Bremer Bay and Esperance including a marvellous boat cruise in Esperance Harbour and nearby islands.

Travel north via Norseman and Coolgardie to Kalgoorlie where you will explore the history of the gold mining town with a visit to the Super Pit Lookout and famous Two Up Ring.

Come along with us for a day out at the Boddington Lions Club annual Rodeo. This awesome day that started in 1976 is the largest rodeo in WA and has something for everyone. Enjoy the street parade as entertainers wind their way around the street with floats, then shop up a storm in the Community Markets.

The main event starts after lunch with heats commencing from noon, with such an entertaining schedule of Riding, Roping, Racing and Steer Wrestling including food, novelty and retail stalls, the Ute Muster and Shearing competition too.

Tour includes Walga Rock sunset barbecue, Jokers Tunnel, Landor Race Track, two nights Mount Augustus, cabin accommodation, four evening meals, four breakfasts and two lunches.

Travel via the picturesque Swan Valley to New Norcia onto Dalwallinu and Wubin along the Great Northern Highway to Paynes Find where you will have a break, then move onto the gold mining towns of Mount Magnet, Cue and Meekatharra.

Leave the bitumen travelling to Mount Gould Police Station and later onto Landor Station, famous for its bush race meeting.

At Mount Augustus, enjoy a tour including Edney Spring and Flintstone Rock. Later a visit to Cattle Pool on the nearby Lyons River. Rest and relax in this outback oasis.

This tour is hosted by an onboard Botanical Guide to ensure that you get an outstanding experience of the Northern Wildflowers, which are different from the Southern species.

This tour books out very quickly as everyone wants to experience the elusive Leschenaultia or better known as the infamous Wreath Flower. You will be taken through remarkable outback roads in search of this flower.

They call into the Coomberdale Wildflower Farm for an interesting talk and wander through the amazing display including venturing into the Coalseam National Park, a small reserve north of Mingenew, which is rich in history and geology.

Everyone on tour receives a Casey Australia Tours “Colour Coded Field Guide of Western Australia Wildflowers” to assist with the experience. This Guide was produced in conjunction with a Botanical Expert who has been working with these natural beauties for more than 40 years.

Travel through to the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park then on to Jurien Bay. In the afternoon, they visit Lesueur National Park and Port Denison.

They visit the HMAS Sydney Memorial and tour Geraldton overlooking the town then take some time to enjoy the new foreshore area. On the peninsula, they visit the Stromatolites of Hamelin Bay and Shell Beach before reaching Denham.

Then on to Monkey Mia to visit the wild dolphins and take a cruise of the marine park in search of dugongs and turtles. They have a barbeque dinner at Peron Homestead, and enjoy a dip in the artesian-fed hot baths.

Departing Denham, they head back down the peninsula to the North West Coastal Highway. Crossing the Murchison River at Galena Bridge they head to the coast at Kalbarri.

Travel north through the Swan Valley to peruse and purchase honey and honey related products. Up to Berry Sweet Strawberry Farm before morning tea and a visit to the Local Goat Dairy for handcrafted goats cheese. Through Gingin on the picturesque loop in Gingin Brook before Roast Lunch at the Gingin Hotel, a classic country character establishment. They head through the ranges to Toodyay and the Coorinja Winery to sample and purchase produce. Last stop at the Whistler Chocolate Company on the way home. Including Morning Tea and Hotel lunch.

Down the Forrest Highway for morning tea on the Leschenault Inlet at Australind. Winding through the green pastures of the Darling Scarp to Wellington Dam to view artist Guido Van Helten’s 8000 square metre mural spanning the downstream side of the dam wall. Over for a wander around the sprawling village of Gnomesville with thousands of Garden Gnomes taking over the bushland. Settling into lunch at the Dardanup Tavern before a visit to one of the stunning wineries of the Ferguson Valley. On your way home visit the Harvey Cheese Factory to purchase some of the delicacies grown on the irrigated farmlands. Including Lunch and wine tasting.

Morning tea in Nambung National Park while you explore the Pinnacle Desert. Further north experience the region’s multimillion dollar lobster industry first hand at the Lobster Shack in Cervantes.

Here the marine crustacean is captured, brought onto shore, sorted, and then live packed in preparation of being dispatched world wide. In the afternoon enjoy a lunch of fresh crayfish and chips before taking a leisurely stroll along the shore of the Indian Ocean. Including Morning Tea, Pinnacles National Park Entry and Half Crayfish Lunch.

First opened in 1979, the Bibbulmun Track stretches 1003 kilometres from Kalamunda to Albany.

Head to Dwellingup to experience three sections of this iconic trail, the first walk is a lovely return walk near Inglehope where a bush Morning Tea is served. The second walk follows the Hotham Valley Railway from the Holyoake Siding into Dwellingup with a roast lunch at the hotel. The afternoon walk starts south of town and meanders through the eucalyptus forest to a striking bush setting and to the waiting coach. There is a refreshment stop in town before returning to Perth.

Notes: All walk sections are planned for about three kilometres in 60-75 minutes and are optional, please bring; a jacket, walking shoes and drink bottle.

Take a trip via rolling farmlands through historic York, then to the Wheatbelt town of Quairading for morning tea. On to Corrigin, Kondinin, Hyden and our destination, Hyden Rock, better known as “Wave Rock”. Visit Hippo’s Yawn, the Wave itself, climb to the top and generally explore this interesting natural wonder. Optional visit to the Lace Museum, Soldier Display or Wildlife Park. Return with a stop at ‘The Corrigin Dog Cemetery’. Including Morning Tea & Entry to Wave Rock.

Down to Eaton to board the “Elandra”. Cruise the Collie River where the dolphins, birdlife and many forms of wildlife unique to South Western Australia are abundant. Elandra explores many hidden spots, that other vessels cannot reach, taking passengers drifting by modern day mansions, then back through time. After the cruise enjoy lunch and free time in Bunbury, WA’s third largest city with almost 70,000 people. On the way home we drop into the Bunbury Farmers Market to pick up some local produce. Including River Cruise and Morning Tea.

Through the south west to beautiful Nannup on the Blackwood River. Enjoy Nannup and the Nannup Flower and Garden Festival, stunning stalls, gardens, displays, information and sales. This show has grown in variety and size in the last few years to now be one of our most popular regional events. In the afternoon we take one of the most delightful drives in Western Australia to quaint little town of Balingup. Including Morning Tea. Lunch not Included.

The Perth floristic region offers the interested, inquisitive wildflower hunter many delights throughout Spring, 220km long and 50km wide the area contains over 2100 species of native plants, with 53 endemic to the region and 50percent endemic to the South West, (this is a similar number to the whole of the UK). Come out for an interesting and colourful day with our Botanical Guide looking though the array of wildflowers just out of Perth. Including Morning Tea, Picnic Lunch and Botanical Guide.

North onto the Midlands Road for our first wildflower stop and Morning Tea at the old Wannamal School Site. From here it’s out to find Lechenaultia Macrantha, the Wreath Leschenaultia. One of the world’s unique, rare and odd flowers, wreath flowers are not endangered but limited to small areas of the wheatbelt. After lunch we stop at another wildflower location with our Botanical Guide on the way back to Perth. Including Morning Tea, Picnic Lunch & Botanical Guide.

A spectacular display of seven varieties of Verticordia flowering in the Northern Wheatbelt, these petite, diverse flowers give rise to the common name Feather flowers. The name Verticordia is a term derived from Latin verto cor, translated as ‘the turner of hearts. The town will have live entertainment, stalls, photography exhibition as well as a guided walk of the Reynoldson Reserve. Including Botanical Guide and Afternoon Tea.

Jump aboard and head into the Australian Bush to settle in at Drakesbrook Tavern, Waroona, to watch The Cup before Lunch. We will run a sweep on the coach, and each passenger will be given a mystery trifecta bet and drink on arrival.

Dress in the spirit to enjoy the day with all the fun and laughter of Australia’s biggest horse race with prizes for best dressed male and female. Including Sweepstake, Mystery Trifecta and Hotel Lunch.

Great experience

Chose 5-day Mt Augustus tour. The best experience of our 6 week holiday in Australia. Very well organised, very professional yet informal, expert leadership from Kitty and Barry, met some great people. Can't recommend enough!

Well, I have been to a few countries and visited many places here in Oz myself but never on an organised coach tour. I figured I better start seeing my own 'backyard' and after some investigation, Casey Australia was going to be the one for me. I was not dissapointed. My first point of contact was a 'phone call to the office where Jacinta handled my inquiry and booking easily and the follow up paperwork was very well documented . The whole trip turned out to be a 'well oiled adventure' under the guidence of Greg and Choccy. Between the company sorting the motels and the itinerary and Greg and Choccy looking after us, I was able to just sit back and enjoy it all. I won't go into the details of the trip as that is all in their brochure. However, I will say that I did the 6 day Shark Bay, Monkey Mia and Kalbarri trip 8th - 13th March. The choice of motels was brilliant and the various sights to see were interesting and fun. For me the highlight was the catamaran day trip to Dirk Hartog Island. What I do need to say here is that all my fellow travellers and I were looked after like we were family. Some of the other travellers had been with Casey Australia before and kept coming back. That's always a good sign. One of the important things was that we were always kept informed as to what we were doing and when we were doing it. I didn't find confusion anywhere on the trip. Their professionalism and good old Aussie congeniality made the trip fun. Thanks guys, this may have been my first trip but certainly won't be the last :)

Just returned from the 20 day Adelaide to Broome overland tour. Our driver and guide Greg and Choccy were wonderfull. The accomodation was better than expected and in good locations. Awesome country to travel through with some spectacular scenery. Could recommend this tour to anyone seeking value for money with great outback experience in comfort.

Our tour began in Broome, but the package also included airfares to Broome and from Cairns . The tour was well organized, but with a certain amount of flexibility, due to weather conditions as the tour takes you to remote locations "off the beaten track", Each traveler is expected to help with camp chores such as putting up and taking down tents, and helping with kitchen duties. Barry, our driver had a range of skills. His driving skills and knowledge of the countryside helped make our trip such a great experience. His stories kept us amused during the evenings when sitting around the camp fire. Kitty, our cook provided interesting meals with lots of variety. Kitty was always very friendly and helpful, with lots of good stories to tell also. You need to have a reasonable level of fitness due to the nature of camping, Although a lot of distance is covered, the bus is very comfortable and there are regular stops for morning tea and lunch: usually at interesting places. This was our second tour with Casey's, and once again it was a great tour and I would highly recommend the tour for those who enjoy an adventure.

I have just returned from a great trip with Casey's to Mount Augustus. Greg and Choccy were the best, great drivers, finders of points of interest. So willing to listen to the travellers requests and in many cases doing more than was asked. Wine and cheese overlooking Mount Augustus at sunset. Pity it was cloudy. I would really enjoy another trip with this couple. The trip was certainly up the the standard expected of a Casey Tour. Great fun good company.

Absolutely awesome experience. We have just returned today ( 15/3/15) from a day tour.... We went to the Harvey Festival and the Mandurah Crab Fest. We where a little unsure what to expect...and where totally blown away... Luxurious spacious large coach bus... Nice sized seats with seatbelt that reclined and had a footrest. Toilet and cold water fountain on board too. Our driver was very friendly and helpful... She gave " just the right amount of commentary" telling you just enough information about the sights and some of the local highlights and stories without going over the top and just talking constantly about nothing... She gave you enough " quiet time" to sit back and enjoy the sights around you. The coach was also well equipped with air conditioning, reading lights, CD player and TV screen/DVD player. The morning tea provided was very nice... Big kettles of hot water...tea..coffee and some type of " sweet treat" ( we got mini muffins/lamington fingers ) most of their tours include lunch usually...ours didn't because it was to the two different festivals..but it was still well worth the price. We where picked up at the East Perth Transport Terminal...and it appears there is a pickup point at the depot too ( in O'connor) It was a fun filled but very relaxing day...They do longer trips too...both Western Australia based and ones that go to Adelaide, New Zealand and other areas. They do " Camping" ones too...but it's not the basic tent and a sleeping bag type...they appear to be roomy tentlike huts with camp stretchers...and again include all meals...so they look to be excellent value for money. We will certainly be looking into doing a day trip again and possibly one of their longer trips. Our trip had mostly " very mature aged" passengers ( senior citizens) and they had no issues...the steps are wide and there is handrails..plus I am sure the staff would be more than happy to lend a helping hand on and off the coach.

Video has captured the incredible moment a massive octopus with three metre-long tentacles grabbed a scuba diver’s hand and led her to a secret shrine.

Seasoned diver Jules Casey assumed the enormous octopus was merely curious about her when he stretched out a long tentacle and wrapped it around her hand.

But when he began swimming away, leading her alongside him, she was the one who was intrigued.

Where were they going?

“He would swim a little way, then stop and turn around to look at me, almost as though he was making sure I was still following,” Ms Casey said.

“It felt like he was coaxing me along, so I thought, OK – I’ll follow along and see what happens.”

After several minutes of swimming together through the icy waters off the Mornington Peninsula, the unlikely new friends arrived at their destination.

Ms Casey had been led to an eerie and secret shrine on the ocean floor.

“It’s this block, like a headstone,” she said. “I was amazed. It was very cool and pretty special.”

The shrine features a photograph of a man holding a fluffy white dog and bears a plaque with the name ‘Lorenz’.

Her new octopus friend hovered around, clutching onto it, seemingly celebrating that he’d been able to guide Ms Casey to it.

The incredible encounter gave her the answer to a mystery she’d been searching for since discovering several submerged garden statues, secured to the ocean floor with metal pickets.

“I’d gone out further than I normally would and the first thing I noticed were these metal star pickets in the ground,” she said.

“Then I saw the statues. I thought, ah, someone is building an artificial reef.”

Over the few weeks on subsequent dives, more stakes and PVC pipes had also appeared as well, each about five metres apart.

Together with the figurines, they formed a large loop.

“The whole artificial reef thing is a little bit naughty because Fisheries and the like wouldn’t be happy,” she explained.

“But any kind of object underwater allows for soft corals and plants to grow into a kind of artificial reef, which brings life. It creates a little ecosystem.

“Our bay is predominantly sand based, so you can swim for miles and miles and just find grass and sand. Any time there’s a rocky structure or a pier or, like this, an artificial reef, it’ll attract life.”

The headstone the octopus took her to is the final piece of the special submerged puzzle.

But what about the PVC piping captured in her video?

“Octopus like to hide in them,” she explained.

Ms Casey has been diving for many years, both freediving and scuba, and is out in the water virtually every single day – even in the depth of winter.

“That’s when all the good stuff happens,” she said.

“It’s all about just having the right gear because I used to hate that shock of cold water when you first jumped in, but I have a freediver’s wetsuit. It’s a little bit different so we don’t get that cold rush. It makes it so much more bearable for me.”

The diving community in her neck of the woods is a tight knit one.

Recently, while at a local dive shop, she got chatting to a man and mentioned the incredible experience with her octopus tour guide.

“It was the person who made the reef,” Ms Casey said. “I couldn’t believe it. But he showed me a little map he’d drawn of the structures in a loop for his friend Lorenz who’d passed away.”

Totally by chance, Ms Casey had discovered Lorenz’s loop – with the help of the octopus. It’s the kind of magical moments that are waiting to be found underwater.

“It’s such another world down there,” she said.

“When you immerse yourself in that environment and it invites you in like this, it’s incredible. It’s so addictive.”

She has encountered the same animal in the past while diving, but these days he has a few white patches and has lost the tips of some of his tentacles.

Those physical changes indicate that he has been mating and is perhaps nearing the end of his life.

Close encounters like those aren’t unusual, she said.

“They’re very curious and, and I find more often it happens around their mating season. They’ll reach out and they’ll touch you. They do spend quite a bit of time like exploring your camera.

“They’re amazing creatures. It’s so cool when one of them wants to come and explore you.”
