What information do you require about the Nepal Himalayan Motorcycle Tour?

Nepal Motorbike Tours provide a variety of exhilarating excursions for both beginners and those who have traveled the world’s most difficult roads.

One of the many sights to see is the towering Himalayas, which glimmer from afar and gleam with unspoiled glaciers while guarding the country’s breath-taking splendor. Stunning vistas of evergreen forests, rivers, streams, colorful temples, and monasteries will improve your experience as you wonder through the serpentine roads, inquisitive what the next bend in the road would be like.

The villages and cities that dot the Kathmandu valley and lay concealed in the mountain ranges will reveal Nepal’s rich and intriguing history.

Paperwork required for Motorcycle tour in Nepal:

When riding in a foreign nation, always bring originals and good copies of your documents. I’d have the color copies laminated and cut to make them look as natural as feasible.

If they ask for the documentation, I always attempt to give them a copy first and only give them the originals if they ask for them. You don’t want your originals to be destroyed by being handled too much, especially on a long trip.

Passports and Visas:

It is recommended (and in many situations required) that you carry your passport with at least six months’ validity and a number of spare pages as soon as you leave your home country.

You’ll need to check with each nation you plan to visit to see if you’ll need a visa and if you’ll need to apply for one ahead of time or just show up and acquire one at the border. This is entirely dependent on the passport you are using, and you should contact the consulate or embassy of that country in your country for more information. If you’re heading to a distant or sensitive location, check to see if you’ll need a local permit, a filming permit, or something else.

Driving License:

Traveling with your complete driving license from your home country (attempt to get a duplicate if it’s a long trip) and an International Driving Permit (easily accessible for $5-$20 from your local post office or car club) is the recommended method.

If your driver’s license does not have a photo, the IDP is very important. In short, it’s worth having one for the small amount of money it costs.

Registration/Ownership Documents:

What to bring depends entirely on where you’re from and where your motorcycle is registered, but it’s even more necessary than your driver’s license! It would be your ‘logbook’ or vehicle registration document (VRD) in the UK, your registration certificate in Australia, and your state registration document AND a ‘title’ or ownership document in the United States.

In any event, they’ll require your chassis and engine / VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) as well as your name/address that matches your other identification. Customs officers will inspect these at every border crossing, and police officers will inspect them frequently if you are stopped over.

We will discover the most incredible off road traks and ride our bikes to the limit in the most unaccesible roads on the planet...

Can you imagine? Don't imagine, just come with us and ride this incredible motorcycle tour

Day 1 Kathmandu - Kathmandu - 0 km

Day 1 I will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in Thamel. Thamel is a tourist hub in Kathmandu. All the benefits for tourists are concentrated here. Hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, all kinds of shops and souvenir shops. If you arrive in the morning, then after a short rest we will have time to visit the Monkey Temple (Swayambu). We can also go to the Shiva temple in Pashupatinath - a place where adherents of the Hindu worldview are cremated on the Bagmati River. In the evening, I will tell you in detail all the nuances of driving a bike in Asia. Tomorrow is our first day on the road. Rest and prepare…

Day 2 Bandipur - 110 km

Day 2 Go! After breakfast, we will break out of the embrace of Kathmandu and rush towards the big mountains. Getting used to the bike and traffic. Today, all day long, we drive along serpentines, along asphalt to the cozy town of Bandipur, which is located on top of a huge hill and is famous for its views of the Himalayan range.

Day 3 Bandipur - Annapurna - 80 km

Day 3 Today for the day, we will gain about 2000m in height. Tomorrow we still have a kilometer of climb, so we need acclimatization and today we will not go higher. We drive along the gorge, between two giants - Annapurna and Manaslu, a mountain river flows below, peace and grace around, which is blown up only by the measured hum of our motors. In the evening we will find ourselves in alpine landscapes, in a pine forest, where we will spend the night in the clean mountain air.

Day 4 Annapurna - Manang - 110 km

Day 4 Today is a very busy day. We will see the mirrors of Time - Muldashev and crystal mountain rivers and lakes. By lunchtime we will reach the destination of our trip - Manang, and drive around its surroundings. We will see the archaic life, ancient monasteries and the hospitable faces of the highlanders covered with a severe tan.

Day 5 Manang - Gorkha - 110 km

Day 5 After a day of skiing on dirt roads in the gorge, having passed through all climatic zones, in the evening we will get to the asphalt road, which will lead us to a cozy hotel at the very exit from the gorge.

Day 6 Gorkha - Kathmandu - 90 km

Day 6 We return to Kathmandu. 170 km of asphalt serpentines along the Himalayan ridge. Last glances at the big mountains, lakes and rivers and by the evening we are in the capital. Souvenirs, gifts and our last joint dinner on this trip. I really hope that you enjoyed this short but very interesting motorcycle trip around Nepal.

Day 7 Kathmandu - Kathmandu - 0

Day 7 Departure The program of this day, as well as on the first day, depends entirely on the time of your departure. If the departure is in the morning, then I will arrange a transfer and take you to the airport. If the departure is in the afternoon or in the evening, then we have every chance to spend time in Kathmandu with maximum benefit. As it is not sad, but our trip to the Himalayas is over. Here is a map of the route traveled, and ahead of you is the road home and meeting with loved ones! 100% will have something to tell and show them! A full-fledged baggage of off-scale emotions and unusual stories from the trip is guaranteed!) I, in turn, will perpetuate our trip on video and willingly share it

DETAILED   ITINERARY

Day 1 -  arrival at kathmandu .

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our crew member will pick you up and check in to the hotel.

We will meet in the evening for a briefing followed by a welcome dinner.

Day 2 -  Kathmandu to Pokhara

Miles - 125.

The first official ride day of the Nepal Motorcycle Tour will start from Kathmandu; we will have early breakfast at the hotel and start our journey towards Pokhara. We advise leaving Kathmandu town a little early so that we can beat the heavy traffic of Kathmandu. The journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara is one of the best routes in Nepal to Travel on Motorcycle, the ride passes through beautiful small villages and rural towns. The altitude of Kathmandu and Pokhara are almost the same, but still, Pokhara is a little cold when compared to Kathmandu due to its close to the Himalayas. After riding for about 6-7 hrs we will be able to reach Pokhara by early evening.

Day 3 -  Pokhara Sightseeing to Sarangkot

Pokhara is the base for most of the important trek routes in Nepal, soon after the breakfast, we will apply for Permits to lower and Upper Mustang and start our day to explore Pokhara. At first, we will visit Pokhara Shanti Stupa, Phewa Lake, and a few of the oldest temples as well. After lunch, we will start our ride towards Sarangkot where we will stay there for tonight. Sarangkot is a small untouched hill station located 30 miles from Pokhara at the height of 1650Mtrs. Sarangkot is the most popular tourist destination from where the tourists can enjoy the great view of the Pokhara Valley and the magnificent view of the mountains such as Annapurna Massif, Fishtail Mountain, Dhaulagiri range, and Manaslu.

Day 4 -  Sarangkot to Lete

We will wake up around 4 am to witness a golden sunrise over the Himalayan Mountains, after that we will have breakfast and start our Lo Manthang motorbike trip towards Lete. The roads are in decent condition from Pokhara for the first 40 miles, later the road will disappear and a road full of slush will welcome us from Beni. After that, we will never get a tarmac for the next 6 days till we reach the same place after exploring the Muktinath Temple and Lo Manthang region. The roads are very slippery and narrow; we need to be very extra cautious while riding on these terrains. After riding for about 7-8 hrs we will reach Lete village which is situated in the lap of the Himalayan Mountains. Lete is about 2200 Mtrs ASL and the weather is mostly cold most of the time.

Day 5 -  Lete to Muktinath (Lower Mustang)

After breakfast we will start our Nepal Motorbike trip further towards Muktinath, Muktinath is a Vishnu temple, sacred to both. Hindus and Buddhists. It is located in Muktinath Valley at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass in Mustang, Nepal. It is one of the world's highest temples (altitude 3,800 m).

Muktinath temple is also called as Temple of Salvation.

We will spend the whole day there exploring the unique culture of Hinduism and Buddhism.

Day 6 -  Muktinath to Lo Manthang (Upper Mustang)

This day will be the longest and toughest ride of this Upper Mustang Motorbike trip; we will be riding from Muktinath to Lo Manthang through Kagbeni. Again we will be riding through off-road trails till Lo Manthang.

It will take 10-12hrs depending on the weather condition; we will be able to reach Lo Manthang during the evening.

The altitude of Lo Manthang is 3840Mtrs ASL.

Day 7 -  Explore the Forbidden Kingdom of Lo Manthang or Upper Mustang

After a tiring ride from Kagbeni to Upper Mustang, today we will explore Lo Manthang. Lo Manthang was the walled capital of the Kingdom of Lo from its founding in 1380 by Ame Pal who oversaw the construction of the city wall and many of the still-standing structures, the village is noted for its tall whitewashed mud-brick walls, gompas and the Raja's or Royal or King's Palace, a nine-cornered, five-story structure built around 1400.

There are four major temples: Jampa Lhakhang or Jampa Gompa, the oldest, built in the early 15th century and also known as the "God house"; Thubchen Gompa, a huge, red assembly hall and Gompa built in the late 15th century and located just southwest of Jampa Gompa.

Day 8 -  Lo Manthang to Kagbeni

Again we will start our ride today a little early, we will ride on the same road to Kagbeni and stay there for a night. This is also gonna be one of the tiring rides on this 13-day motorbike trip to Upper Mustang.

By late evening we will reach Kagbeni, Kagbeni altitude is 2804Mtrs ASL.

Day 9 -  Kagbeni to Tatopani

We will start ride towards Pokhara today, to begin with, we will ride through Jomsom and Marpha villages, Marpha is famous for its apple orchids in entire Nepal. After riding for about 6-7hrs we will reach a small village called “Tatopani”. Tatopani people are of ethnic Sherpa and Tamang.

Historically and today, it is a huge trading post between Nepal and China. There is also a natural hot spring in Tatopani, in the evening we can take a dip at Tatopani Hot Springs.

Tatopani altitude is 2400Mtrs ASL.

Day 10 -  Tatopani to Pokhara

During our 10th day on the Nepal Motorcycle Trip, we will ride from Tatopani towards Pokhara; the journey will again take us through some mesmerizing small Himalayan villages and breathtaking views. By early evening we will reach Pokhara and in the evening one can enjoy the beautiful lake of Phewa Lake or go for massage therapy or just relax at the hotel.

Day 11 -  Pokhara to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we will start our last day of the Nepal Motorbike trip towards the Capital of Nepal “Kathmandu”. It’s a 125 Miles journey which will take

6-8Hrs based on the traffic.

After reaching Kathmandu we will bid goodbye to our Royal Enfield Motorcycles, which was the vital part of this 12 days trip to Upper Mustang.

Day 12 -  Explore Kathmandu

Today we will explore Kathmandu by private 4 wheeler and by foot, exploring the ancient town. We will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Thamel area as well.

Annapurna circuit motorbike tour highlights

  • Adventure, incredible and scenic drive to Besisahar. The riding is quite challenging because of the big movement of the vehicle on the highway. You will see the big traffic flow of the vehicles on the way to Besisahar.
  • Adventure ride from Besisaghar to Manag, as there is an off-road the riding is more adventurous because some parts the road is too dusty and some parts very muddy. You might feel difficult when there is dust because the motorbikes tyres spin a lot.
  • The ever-smiling local people and their unique and authentic cultures. Gurung and Magar are the people you can see on the lower parts of the trek while Manages people stay in the villages above Chame.
  • The amazing landscape of the trekking area, as it is covered with the tropical forest. The pines, juniper and oaks trees are the major plants that you see on the way to Manag. Walnuts are also plants that you may see on the roadsides.
  • Hot Spring in the Chame to enjoy the nights at the Chame. Lamjung Himal is perfectly visible from the Chame. View of Mt. Manaslu and Mt.Manaslu North, Himalchuli from Timag and Chame which is very fascinating.

Annapurna circuit motorbike tour itinerary

Nepal trek hub receives you in the Kathmandu airport. Then together we drive to your hotels. We also suggest and check your gear list for your Annapurna circuit motorbike ride tour. You have to bring your riding clothes but other insufficient clothes like rain gears, warm clothes, gloves and other items you can buy in Thamel.

Today we will bring you to Kathmandu sightseeing on the motorbike. The objective is to make you familiar on your Motorbike that you are going to ride on your entire trip. We use Royal Enfield 500 CC Motorbikes some are Royal Enfield Himalayan with big height as compared to the old ones. Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu durbar squares are the 4 World heritage sites that you visit today.

After breakfast early in the morning we start a scenic ride to Ngadi. The ride is quite stressful for you because of the pressure of the vehicles. Traffic jams can be on the way as well. As you cross the valley the ride now becomes more smooth and you can see the picturesque views including farmland, jungle and occasional glimpses of snowy peaks. Prithivi highway separates from Dumre then the road becomes single lanes till the Besisahar. Talking lunch at Besisahar we go further drive to Ngadi and stay overnight at Ngadi.

The day starts with having breakfast at Ngadi. It is a very beautiful morning with the view of Ngadi peak and some other snow-capped mountains. We have a mostly off-road trip today that is the reason you have to prepare yourself for offroad riding. Crossing the river at Ngadi bazaar we further ride and cross the village-like Syange, Jagat and Chamje. Crossing Chamje you will see the spectacular and rocky hills around you. The road now is concrete filled but often motorbikes jump. Crossing the Tal villages from the sides of the hill we further drive to Dharapani.

Chame is our destination for tonight. As we do breakfast and be ready for the next amazing rides. Ridders can see the view of Mt. Manaslu and Mt Manaslu north. You can see the green hills around the valley of Timang, Danaque, Bagarchap, Thanchowk, koto. Final destination for today is chame. Chame is a district headquarters and a nice place to stay Overnight and enjoy at the hot spring at Chame.

Manag is our next destination today. From Chame to Manag the trails are very good and smooth too. You can see the fabulous view of the mountains like Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna and many other mountains. One the way to Manag you will see the biggest apple farm of Nepal. Dhukurpokhari, Lower Pisang and Humde are the villages that you cross with the motorbikes. Stay overnight at Manag.

For a better view and good acclimatization we suggest you go to the Ice lake 4600 meters. The ice lake hiking offers a spectacular view of the Annapurna ranges. The hike takes around 5-6 hours to the top of Ice-lake. There are two lakes in the ice lake. Back to Manag and stay overnight at Manag.

There is a road till Khangsar 3756 Meters. Stopping motorbike here we trek to Tilicho base camp. Trek to Tilicho base camp is quite dangerous during the day because of the day stone falls. That is the reason we have to try to reach the Tlicho base camp as early as possible. The hike offers an incredible view of the mountain peaks and colourful landscape. We have to be very careful on the landscape where the stone might fall.

Early in the morning we start our hike to Tilicho Lake. The trail is not that difficult as you go higher because of the altitude gains it is much harder. The colourful landscape and early sunrise in the mountains is very fabulous to see. It is a 3 hours hike to the top of Tilicho lake. Reaching Tilicho and taking photographs we will go back to Tilicho base camp and have breakfast. Having breakfast here we go back to Khangsar villages and stay overnight here.

We Ride Tal villages today. As we go down today from the same way you are familiar with the scene and landscape.

Our plan is to go to Bandipur today which is an enchanting Newar village. This is actually a hill station from where you can see the Annapurna mountain ranges. Marsyangdi River Valley is perfectly visible from here. You can also see the local temples around the Bandipur villages.

We ride back to Kathmandu via Prithvi highways. The road is quite busier and tricky as well. Arrive at kathmandu hotels and stay overnight.
