Our customer service team are unable to give accurate availability or prices on fuel as the information may change by the time that you get to the petrol filling station. We always do our best to look after items you've lost. If you think you've left something behind, the best way to find out is to pop back in to the store. If you're returning to a Superstore or Extra, please ask at the Customer Service Desk. For Express stores, please speak to a Duty Manager. We only keep bank cards until the end of the next working day. If you think you've left your card behind, please contact your bank.

It's always a good idea to have some Euros handy for essentials like food, drink, tips and transport when you arrive.

Buying your Euros before you head off means you won’t need to worry about finding an ATM while you’re away. You’ll also be able to avoid any additional withdrawal charges.

It’s worth remembering that foreign exchange rates can go up and down. When you buy your Euros in advance, you can be sure of the rate you are going to get. Withdrawing cash abroad may not give you the same exchange rate.

You can use Click & Collect to arrange a time to pick up your Euros as part of your weekly shop, either from a Tesco Travel Money bureau or customer service desks. You can also use our home delivery service, which is free for online orders of £500 or more.

Some common questions about the Euro

The Euro is used in a range of European countries. It was created by the European Union in 1999 and launched in 2002, when it replaced the local currencies of most EU member states. So, when you travel to Italy or Spain, you need Euros to spend while you’re there instead of Lira or Peseta.

The Euro is used by a wide range of countries, most of them member states of the European Union – although some non-member countries use it too. If you’re travelling to the following countries, you can expect to use Euros:

Notes come in 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 euros. 500-Euro notes are no longer being printed, but existing banknotes remain legal tender and can continue to be used.

Croatia has also joined the European Union’s borderless Schengen zone, allowing people to travel freely between member countries without going through border controls.

No matter how you purchase your travel money, whether it be in store, online or over the phone, you will not be charged any card handling fee by us. However, regardless of your card type, your card provider may apply fees, e.g. cash advance fees or other fees, so please check with them before you purchase your travel money.

Click & Collect cancellations

You can cancel a Click & Collect order any time prior to collection. We'll refund you with the full Sterling amount that you paid for your order, unless you cancel less than 24 hours before your collection date, in which case we'll charge a £10 late cancellation fee.

We are unable to refund any fees charged by your card issuer, so please contact them if you have any further queries.

When you get home, we'll buy your travel money back

Let us turn your unspent holiday money into Pounds. It couldn't be simpler.

Just pop into one of our in-store Travel Money Bureaux when you get home. We buy back all the currencies we sell in most banknote values and also the Multi-currency Cash Passport™. Buy back rates may vary during the day.

SHOPS across the country shut down over the weekend for the Easter holidays with many stores altering their opening hours.

Asda , Aldi, Tesco and many other stores shut on  Easter  Sunday, with only a  few select stores remaining open.

Some opening hours might vary for today while select stores remain completely closed.

While there's no mail on the bank holiday, Amazon packages might still be delivered.

McDonald’s opening times during the Easter weekend vary depending on the store.

As a result, it’s best to use its  online store locator  or call ahead for opening and closing times.

However, many McDonald’s restaurants in the UK will be open over Easter.

How to see what pharmacies are open

Anyone who has to take  medications  regularly will tell you how important it is to ensure your supply doesn’t run out.

It is best practice to be prepared for any and all situations, so if you know your refill is coming up it is advised to visit your pharmacy before the  bank holidays .

There is no set rule on pharmacies staying open over the Easter  bank holidays .

However, the  NHS website  has provided a list of pharmacies that will remain open.

These will be open for limited hours in order to help customers get any essential medicines or treatments.

Avoid a wasted journey

Retailers’ opening hours will vary over the bank holidays, so you should check each specific store to avoid a wasted journey.

Most supermarkets and large high street chains have store locators on their website which you can use to find the opening hours for your nearest branch.

The opening times of stores generally vary depending on the location and size of the store.

What time will Morrisons open today?

Morrisons  observed special opening hours over the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Stores were closed on Easter Sunday, but they will all be open between 7am and 8pm today.

M&S stores are open today

M&S’  stores will open as usual on Easter Monday, with the majority opening between 8am and 8pm.

Opening times  at M&S stores vary so it’s also always best to check your local store to avoid disappointment.

Don’t expect any post

Royal Mail  says that it delivers on most days of the year, including Saturdays.

But it doesn’t deliver or collect on  bank holidays , which includes Good Friday and Easter Monday.

As for other companies such as Amazon, you can expect parcels to arrive today if they match the delivery date shown online.

Are Greene King pubs open this weekend?

Greene King  is one of the biggest pub chains in the country, with over 300 locations in London and 2,600 across the UK.

Opening times over the bank holiday vary depending on which pub you are looking to visit.

You can always check the pub locator on the brand’s website which shows you when your local is open.

What about John Lewis?

Luckily, all of  John Lewis’  stores will be open between 10am and 6pm on Easter Monday.

Some may even be open later than that.

Are Boots shops open over Easter?

Opening times on Bank Holidays at Boots vary from store to store, with the brand recommending you check online to find out if your local shop is open.

Usually, Boots stores are open from as early as 7am and some close as late as 10pm, with many staying open past 6pm.

But Easter means some stores may be opening later than usual and shutting earlier.

Sainsbury's Easter Monday opening hours

On Easter Monday, most Sainsbury's stores will be open between 8am and 8pm while Local stores will be open from 7am to 10pm.

Opening and closing times differ from store to store though and can depend on size and location.

Iceland opening hours

Regular opening hours will apply for Easter Monday, apart from shopping centre branches.
