Family Visit Visa Application Eligibility

You can only apply for family visit visa for your

– Parents – Children – Husband / Wife – Mother in law / Father in law – Sister in Law – Grand Parents – Brothers / Sisters of Foreign Husband / Wife married to Saudi locals

Family Visit Visa Application requirements – Valid Passport of the Sponsor – Valid Iqamah of the Sponsor – Valid Passport of the Applicants – Nafath Application Activated on Phone – Any Iqama Profession (Including Labor or House Driver)

Visit the MOFA Website

Open your browser, preferably on a computer, and visit https://visa.mofa.gov.sa/Account/Loginindividuals

Change Website Language

Change the website language to English by click on the E Symbol at the top left of the screen

Login Using Nifad (National Sign On) with Absher Account

Click on Login to proceeding to login via your Absher Account

Change Nifad Site Language to English

This step is optional

Enter Iqama ID, Click on Login

Enter your Iqama and Click on Login. You must have Nifad Application Downloaded and Signed in on your Phone with the registered Phone number. Click here to download from Google Playstore or Click Here to Download from Apple Store . Enter the code displayed on your phone to Complete Login Process.

Enter Address, Phone Number, Email. Click Save

Enter your Address, Registered Mobile number and Email ID. Click on Save

Once Data is Saved, Click Close

Click on close to proceed to the Visa Platform Dashboard

In the Visa Platform Dashboard, Choose Family Visit Visa Application for Residents

Add Applicants for Visit Visa

For the ‘ Visit Objectives ’ cell, you will be required to type in ‘Family Visit’ in Arabic (طلب تأشيرة زيارة عائلة) For ‘ Entry Visa Number ’ cell, Enter your Visa Number stamped on top of your passport. However, you can also choose to leave it in case of a first-time visit. Under Wanted to Visit , Click on Add to Start Adding Applicants.

Fill Visit Visa Application form

– Fill in all the Personal Information of the applicant, including their Nationality, Arabic Family Name, Arabic Grand Name, Arabic Father Name, Arabic First Name, Birth Date, Birth Place, Gender, Occupation ( must be typed in Arabic) , Mobile, Email, Religion and Relation. – The applicant’s information provided must match accurately with their passport. – On the same page fill in the applicant’s Passport Information, including Passport Number, Passport Type, Passport Issue Date, Passport Expiry Date, and Passport Issue Place. – Fill in the applicant’s Visa Information, including Coming Place ( your nearest Saudi Embassy city in your country ) and Number of Entries which is the type of family visit visa (Multiple Entry/Single Entry) you want to apply for. The single-entry visit visa is issued for a period of 30 days only with 8 possible extensions of 30 days each i.e. 270 days. The multiple-entry visit visa is issued for a period of 90 days only which can be extended for 30 days (Grace Period) via Tawasul Request Click on ‘Add’ after filling up all the required information correctly.

Save Visa Application form

The Applicant’s personal information will now be displayed on the screen under the ‘Wanted to Visit’ Table. If you want to apply for a family visit visa for more than one family member, click on the “ Add ” button again to enter the details of the second applicant who wants to come to KSA. Otherwise, Check “ Agreement Approval “ and Click on the “ Save ” button

Click on طباعة to Print in Arabic. Note the application number that is generated

Visit Visa Application form Official Submission

The next step is to take this VISA application form to your sponsor (Kafeel) to sign and stamp the document. The Chamber of Commerce attestation for private employees is being carried out online. So once you have completed the application, just share it with your Public relationship Officer (PRO) or the Human Resource(HR) Team to attest it. Only once the Application form is attested by Chamber of Commerce, Your Application is officially submitted . You can check your Visit Visa Chamber status by visiting visa.mofa.gov.sa and Entering your application number and Iqama ID number. You should see the screen as shown.

Track Visit Visa Application Status

After the sponsor has signed and stamped the application form, it typically takes a week or less for the approval status to appear in the MOFA site. On the MOFA website, under the ‘Enquiry’ column, you may use the order number and the applicant’s record number (Iqama number) to verify the progress of the MOFA visa application. If the visa application has been granted, the MOFA website will display ‘ Visa Document ’ in place of the ‘ Request a Family Visa ’ application form. Additionally, the applicant’s ‘Order Number’ will now be changed to the applicant’s ‘ Visa Document Number ’.

Family Visit Visa Stamping Procedure and Fees

Visa Stamping must be done within 90 days of MOFA Visa Approval date. Upon successfully obtaining the visa, share the copy of the visa along with the respective passport to travel agents in India who will obtain the stamping.

Saudi Arabia, officially known as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has excellent infrastructure and offers all the amenities and facilities to its residents and visitors from around the world. All visitors to Saudi Arabia need to obtain a visa relevant to their stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – such as tourism, business, work, residence and business. Saudi Arabia business visa

Saudi Embassies issue visitors’ visas to business people with commercial and industrial interests in Saudi Arabia. A visa applicant’s firm or agent in Saudi Arabia applies for the visa on his/her behalf to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the visa is approved, the embassy or consulate issues the required visa, following the instruction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

However, embassy and consular officers can directly grant a short-visit visa to foreign businessmen, if the applicant works for a large corporation already in Saudi Arabia.

Religious visa

Religious visas are issued to Muslims from all over the world who wish to visit Saudi Arabia to perform religious activities like Umrah or Hajj in the Holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.

Tourist visa

Saudi Arabia tourist visa allows tourists from around the world to discover the rich heritage, the vibrant culture, diverse and breathtaking landscapes, and experience the warm hospitality of Saudi people.

The Saudi Arabia e-visa is a one-year, multiple entry visa that allows tourists to spend up to 90 days in the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia Work visa/ residence visa

Saudi employers are required to apply for work permits with the government bodies – Interior and Labor & Saudi Affairs Ministries – on behalf of the foreign workers. Individuals who wish to stay in the Kingdom for more than three months must obtain a residence permit (Iqama). Issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iqama is valid for two years.

Dependents of foreign employees can get a residence visa, which doesn’t allow them to seek employment in the Kingdom. Residence visa holders need to obtain an exit visa to leave the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia visa application

You can get in touch with registered visa agents to apply for a visa to Saudi Arabia. Check the list of licensed agencies on http://embassies.mofa.gov.sa/ . Here is a list of Saudi Arabia visa requirements:

A passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of application and has at least two blank pages for stamping.

Based on the eligibility criteria and documents submitted, your visa application will be approved or rejected. If your application is approved, you are advised not to overstay the duration mentioned on the visa.

Visitors are required to follow the Islamic laws and regulations of Saudi Arabia and respect the traditions and values of KSA. There is a severe restriction on possession of alcoholic beverages, pork products, firearms, explosives, edged weapons, prohibited drugs and narcotics, and pornographic materials.

Saudi Arabia visa fee

Visa fee will be charged based on the visa type as under:

VIP business visa: S.R.1,000
Business visa multiple entry: S.R.500
Business visa single entry: S.R.200
Work/residence/transit/student visa: S.R.50
No fees for the purpose of Government, Hajj, Umrah, and Extension of exit re-entry

Eligibility criteria

Business visit.

Visa fee: The visa fee needs to be paid online only. As per the current rule there is no provision for any kind of offline payment.
Passport: A passport that is valid for at least 6 months with at least two blank pages.
Photographs: Passport size photographs with a white background.
Recommendation letter: A Recommendation letter from the Chamber of Commerce.
Covering letter: The covering letter must contain details of the business and contact addresses of the Business Associate in Saudi Arabia, with the company’s seal on it. The covering letter should also include details like the nature of the business, the designation of the applicant.
Invitation letter: Invitation letter arranged by the sponsor in Saudi Arabia needs to be submitted through the Chamber of Commerce.
Visa validity: The visa is issued for a maximum of 90 days from the date of issue.

Temporary work permit visa

Visa fee: The visa fee needs to be paid online only. As per the current rule there is no provision for any kind of offline payments.
Covering letter: You need to submit a cover letter from an Indian organization or an individual company that includes business details and contact information. The covering letter should also include details like the designation of the applicant, nature of the business with the company’s seal on it.
Invitation letter: Invitation letter from the Indian Chamber of Commerce attested by Saudi Arabia Chamber of Commerce with the agreement from the company in the name of the applicant.
Company registration: A copy of the company’s registration.
Medical certificate: Medical certificate from an embassy approved doctor.
Experience letter: Experience letter for the past two years.
Education documents: Based on the type of work, you must submit your degree/diploma/ certificate attested by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of External Affairs, and the Embassy.
Air tickets: Copy of confirmed airline tickets.
Visa fee: The receipt of visa fee payment of S.R. 2,000.
Visa processing: If you fulfill Saudi Arabia work visa requirements, The visa application is processed in 4-5 working days.
Visa validity: The visa is issued for a maximum of 90 days from the date of issue and can be extended by the sponsor.

Family Visit

Visa processing: The application is processed in 4-5 working days.
Visa validity: The visa is issued for a maximum of 90 days from the date of issue.
Dependents: Dependents of an applicant are required to provide a marriage certificate (for married applicants) and medical certificate and birth certificate for children to visit Saudi Arabia.

Transit Visa

In order to travel through the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to your destination, you need to get a transit visa if you spend more than 12 hours within the KSA territory. Here are the eligibility criteria to apply for a transit visa:

Visa fee: Visa fee: The visa fee needs to be paid online only. As per the current rule there is no provision for any kind of offline payments.
Passport: Passport that is valid for a minimum of 6 months.
Visa validity: The visa is issued for a maximum of 72 hours and is valid for 60 days from the date of issue. Transit visas can be extended to two weeks.

(v) Applicable Visa Fee in Cash Saudi Riyals (vi) Copy of Saudi ID card/ Copy of Iqama for Foreigners (vii) Proof of confirmation of hotel accommodation in India (viii) Airlines ticket for India (ix) A letter from Employers or Sponsors or a Bank Statement of the applicant (last one month). In case of minors, document(s) from either parents may be submitted

Requirements for issue of Business Visa:- (i) Original Passport (valid for a minimum period of six months at the time of submission of visa application) (ii) Copy of Passport (iii) Two recent Passport size photographs. Please See Photograph Requirements Document ) (iv) Duly completed Online Application Form - Click here. (v) Applicable Visa Fee in Cash Saudi Riyals (vi) Copy of Saudi ID card/ Copy of Iqama for Foreigners (vii) For upto Six months multiple entry - A letter of request from a business establishment in Saudi Arabia attested by the Chamber of Commerce; For more than six months multiple entry - A letter of request from a business establishment in Saudi Arabia attested by the Chamber of Commerce and letter of invitation from Indian Co duly attested by respective Chamber of Commerce. [NOTE : Visa application for Business visa will also be vetted by the Commercial Wing of the Embassy.] BUSINESS VISA FOR RECRUITMENT OF MANPOWER FROM INDIA

Requirements for issue of Business visa for recruitment of manpower from India (Documents to be Submitted (in duplicate) for Recruitment of Visa) ::- (i) Visa application form duly filled in with two photographs. Please See Photograph Requirements Document) (ii) Passport (with one photo copy) (iii) Duly completed Online Application Form - Click here. (iv) Letter from the company requesting visa for the applicant (v) Applicant's I/D copy (vi) Copy of Visa issued by Saudi Labour Ministry for Indian workers (vii) Salary offered by the company to the Indian workersand other provisions such as food, accommodation and transport etc. (viii) Correspondence with recruiting agent (s) (complete address, tel/fax Numbers/Email address of the agent in India).. (ix) List of addresses of all the recruitment agents in India whose services the company utilized in past or propose to utilize in near future. (x) List of all Indian workers working in the company/concerned branch of the company (xi) Copy of Registration Certificate of the sponsoring company (xii) Copies of three employment contracts signed by the company with its employees in the recent past for the same category of employees as are being recruited [Note :- The applicant himself has to come for interview by Attache (Labour) at the Embassy. The visa application thereafter will be processed by the Consular Wing of the Embassy which may take 4-7 days.]

Requirements for issue of Transit Visa:- (i) Original Passport with copy of passport(valid for a minimum period of six months at the time of submission of visa application) (ii) Two recent Passport size photographs. (iv) Copy of Saudi ID card/ Copy of Iqama for Foreigners (v) Applicable Visa Fee in Cash Saudi Riyals (vi) Photocopy of the onward journey ticket. (vii) A letter from Employer / Sponsor

Requirements for issue of Student Visa:- (i) Original Passport (valid for a minimum period of six months at the time of submission of visa application) (ii) Copy of Passport (iii) Two recent Passport size photographs. Please See Photograph Requirements Document ) (iv) Duly completed Online Application Form - Click here. (v) Applicable Visa Fee in Cash Saudi Riyals. (vi) Provisional admission letter in original along with a copy from a recognized educational institution in India. (vii) Travelling Cheque or DD for US $ 2000/- (viii) A letter of financial support from parent / guardian along with a bank guarantee worth SR.7,000 (Saudi Riyals Seven Thousand) for the duration of the course/study. (ix) Father's employment letter indicating position held and salary attested by Chamber of Commerce/foreign Ministry. (x) An undertaking from parents/guardian for meeting all the expenses for their child/children studying in India and to the effect that their child will not be engaged in any unlawful and undesirable activity. (xi) Iqama/Bataka copy.

(vii) Medical Reports / Hospital References in case of medical treatment. Saudi Arabia has updated its entry rules to make the country more accessible to visitors .

A new decree signed by the country's Minister of Tourism allows GCC residents to apply for e-visas through the dedicated online portal, www.visitsaudi.com/visa, and makes it easier for travellers from the UK, the US and the EU to enter the kingdom.

“Tourism bridges cultures and connects communities, it provides opportunities and uplifts neighbourhoods, and I am proud to lead the ministry as we build this future together,” said Ahmed Al Khateeb, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism.

In order to be eligible for an e-visa, visitors must have a residence visa issued by a GCC country with validity of at least three months, and a passport that is valid for more than six months. Applicants must also be employed in specific occupations, which are listed on the portal.

Single-entry visas are valid for three months and multiple-entry visas last for one year. The single-entry option allows travellers to stay in Saudi Arabia for a maximum of one month, while there is a 90-day length of stay for multiple-entry visas. Applicants cannot specify which option they want — this will be decided on a case by case basis by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This e-visa allows holders to perform Umrah outside of Hajj season, as declared by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Pilgrims hoping to perform Hajj will still need to apply for special visas through their nearest Saudi embassy or consulate.

For children under the age of 18, parents are required to apply for their e-visa first and then reapply for minors. The cost per application is 300 Saudi riyals ($80), plus the cost of valid health insurance.

Rules for US, UK and EU travellers

As part of Saudi Arabia’s new entry rules, residents of the US, the UK and the EU can apply for a visa on arrival. Applicants must hold a permanent residence permit from the US, the UK or an EU country, and a passport that is valid for more than six months. Visas will be granted on arrival at all of Saudi Arabia’s air, sea and land ports.

The cost per application is 300 Saudi riyals, plus the cost of valid health insurance. Again, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will decide on a case by case basis whether to grant single or multiple-entry visas. Validity and duration of stay is the same as for GCC visitors.

Holders of US, UK or Schengen visas, whether for business or tourist purposes, can also enter Saudi Arabia without needing to apply in advance, as long as the visa has already been used at least once and has an entry stamp from the issuing country.

As with GCC visitors, this visa allows holders to perform Umrah outside of Hajj season.

All other nationalities must acquire their visa through their nearest Saudi embassy. Tawakkalna, which contains your vaccination data and permits;

It is now possible to apply for an Umrah visa without personally contacting a travel agency through the Umrah eVisa process, which is available for some countries. However, even in this case, an Umrah package is required as the Umrah visa is restricted for pilgrimage purposes. This means that pilgrims must stay during the allotted period of time in the allotted places. Applications through an Umrah package is the way to organize this.

Without a package, pilgrims may apply for a tourist visa, as we have mentioned above.

Make sure the photo you submit meets the following parameters:

The photo must be in color;
The format must be squared. The required size may vary depending on the agency, but in most cases, it is the same as for the e-visa: 200x200 pixels.
The height of your head in the picture should range at 70-80% of the overall photo height;
The photo must be no older than six months;
The background must be plain white;
Glasses are allowed. The frame must not cover any part of your eyes. There must be no glare on the lenses. Dark glasses are not permitted;
You can wear a head covering for religious or medical reasons. Your full facial features must be visible. You cannot wear head accessories for any other reason;
Your photo must be in focus and balanced lighting;
There must not be any shadows on your face or behind your head;
'Red eye' in photographs is not acceptable;
Keep your facial expression neutral and look straight into the camera.
