So we've reviewed the best sites based on their price, of course, but also on the way they work, with the ease of use and clarity as important features. We also checked to make sure you won't suffer any extra charges added on top at the last minute. Plus, we took rewards schemes into account, which could help you save money upfront or in the longer term if you use some sites more than once.

Expedia is a big name in online travel sites and hotel booking services and owns many popular sites like Hotels.com and Hotwire.com. We're fans of the original, though, thanks to its clean and straightforward to use interface. Hit the packages section of the site, and you can add up to five connecting flights, choose to add accommodation for all of or only part of your trip, and tag on car rentals too. 

It's all suitably well laid out, and it only takes a few seconds to start putting together your itinerary. However, we do wish there were a few more options for filtering out accessibility issues. Still, for most people, Expedia.com has everything they'll need, and there's even the option of a cruise too if you fancy it. It's as aspirational to look at as it is useful to, well, use and there are extra discounts for booking multiple parts of your vacation with the site. A Things To Do section rounds off the site's bid to help you plan your entire trip in one place.

2. Booking.com: Best for ease of use

Booking.com

Booking.com is a giant in the world of holiday bookings and not only offers over half a million properties in more than 207 countries but also offers flights and car rental services too. As such you can do it all from this one spot which makes it a very easy-to-use option. That said, there is a lot going on, and the user interface can be a little overwhelming at times. 

But with a superb rewards program, it is a great option that encourages you to keep coming back, making it easier to use as you become accustomed. You can even sort your taxi hire from this site meaning there is very little to think about when you get traveling as it's all been planned ahead of time. You also don't have to pay a booking fee on lots of hotels, allowing you to remain flexible – ideal if you're traveling about a lot on your journey.

3. CheapTickets.com: Best for finding things to do 

CheapTickets.com

CheapTickets is another site acquired by Expedia, but it does things a little differently. You can easily add on flight, hotel, and car or any combination of the three for package deals, although multiple flights are under a different option. So far, so Expedia (if less intuitive), but you can also clearly purchase event tickets from the site, which is far more useful if you want a one-stop-shop place to buy your trip. It's something other sites provide, but CheapTickets is that bit keener to entice you into the process, even if the site itself is a little cheesier looking than others. 

There's also the site's Vacation Value Finder, which lets you tweak how much you're willing to spend and what you're looking for from a vacation before making some fun suggestions. It's perfect for finding a last-minute deal if you don't have your heart set on one place. Students will also appreciate a section dedicated to them with extra discounts once you verify you're a student. All in all, it's a great varied site for numerous different needs. 

4. Priceline.com: Best for user reviews 

Priceline.com

Priceline is a big deal in the online travel site world for a good reason. It's effortless to use with options available for flights, cars, hotels, or any combination of the three. It's mildly annoying that Priceline's super cheap Pricebreaker deals don't extend to bundles, so you won't get an incredible bargain like you would if you booked separately. However, combining the set is still a worthwhile deal with discounts offered for the more you bundle together. 

One thing we really appreciated is that every hotel we looked at had dozens of reviews, and they're all from verified customers. It takes seconds to gain a reasonably accurate picture of what to expect from wherever you're considering booking. That's the perfect peace of mind when you're booking online, and you can't be sure of what you're getting without user reviews backing hotel statements up. Clearly laid out, you can focus on enjoying rather than worrying. Finally, Priceline is keen to make its VIP scheme easily accessible with straightforward discounts offered to you over time -- something that not all sites so clearly highlight. 

5. Kayak.com: Best for aggregated results 

If you're short on time, Kayak is pretty useful. That's because you simply enter where you want to go, and it aggregates results from multiple different sources. While it means you never book directly with Kayak, it does mean you get results quickly and without having to search around yourself, even if you will feel a bit overwhelmed with adverts while you search. 

The site itself looks a little basic, but under the hood is a surprising number of different filters (although no accessibility ones to speak of) and all the critical information you could require, although obviously you'll be sent to another site for the full details. The site also has a deals section, which has some great bargains for things you can do once you reach your destination, along with cheap car rental deals. It might not be pretty, but if you simply don't want to do the groundwork yourself, Kayak has you covered. It can be a real time-saver, and we reckon it's particularly useful if you're mostly researching possible trips in the future and want rough price estimates. Just watch out for the fact you can’t bundle in car rental deals. 

6. Hotwire.com: Best for renting properties 

Hotwire keeps things straightforward. All you need to do is enter what you're looking for, and a somewhat dated interface tells you what's available. It's not as pretty as some sites, but we really liked the extensive property type filters available. Want to stay on a houseboat or in a chalet at your destination? Hit the relevant filter, and you can find out if that's an option in the locale. That might not matter if your heart is set on a hotel, but it's a nice bonus even amongst the awkward site layout. 

Elsewhere, it's mostly business as usual, but that's no bad thing. Well laid out discounts are available to compare reasonably quickly, and most locations have plenty of reviews. If you feel like tracking down specific deals, you can do that too, with the site keen to offer up discounts to central locations if you're not quite sure where you'd like to visit next. It feels like the site needs updating when you compare it to its rivals, but it works well and speedily enough.

7. Agoda: Best for private home rental in Asia 

Agoda is a great option if you want to look for accommodation that isn't a hotel as this specializes in offering apartments and private rentals. In fact, there are dedicated market managers that work on finding properties, especially in Asia. As such you can find unique destination rentals at decent rates and should you change your mind there is a helpful 24-hour free cancellation policy in place. 

Everything is very easy to use and if you want to make more than one booking you can make great savings. Customer support is also a plus, as there is a 24-hour multilingual customer support service available when booking. With millions of reviews, Agoda makes finding a property very easy with a feeling of trust that can offer great peace of mind.

We looked at how easy each site is to use during our testing, such as how quickly the site loaded and how easy it was to find what we were looking for. We considered whether the site felt cluttered with adverts or seemed like a dated interface. We also looked at how easy it was to find Contact Us pages, price guarantee information, and any kind of special deals section. 

We also considered how easily bundle deals could be arranged and how extensive they were and any potential discounts tied to them. We checked filter options to see how flexible and easy it was to look up different needs along the way.

We looked at trips between Los Angeles and Miami, Paris to Lisbon, and New York City to Los Angeles during testing. We also looked at lesser-known routes to see if they were also catered for appropriately.

How technology has transformed the travel industry

There has been a digital revolution for holidaymakers, and technological advances may see increased personalisation take off

At the turn of this century, planning a holiday might have entailed a visit to the local travel agent. Or for the more adventurous traveller armed with a well-thumbed guidebook, relying on trusted word-of-mouth recommendations to set their travel agenda. Today, thanks to breakthroughs in technology and high-speed internet, travellers can book their own flight and hotels online, choose to stay in a stranger’s house, and rather than entering that unfamiliar restaurant with trepidation, search online reviews on their mobile while connected to the hotel Wi-Fi.

“Digitalisation has given us choice in a big way,” says Tamara Lohan, co-founder and chief technology officer at boutique hotels website Mr & Mrs Smith . “More people are travelling than ever before, and companies like Airbnb encourage younger people to explore sooner, and in a more cost-effective way. Technology has also given us more information on the place we are going than ever before. Want to know if there is an artisan chocolatier close to your hotel in Amsterdam? Well, now you can – in seconds.”

In the digital age, we’ve become a generation of DIY travellers who plan, manage and book travel online. So what has this meant for businesses in the travel industry?

For travel agents, the rise of digital has severely disrupted the industry. “Traditional travel distribution in which high street travel agencies played a dominant role was revolutionised with online travel agencies and direct distribution through airlines and hotels’ websites acquiring a key role,” explains Angelo Rossini, contributing analyst at Euromonitor International .

“Low-cost carriers and online travel agencies were the clear winner of the online travel revolution over the past 15 years, changing the way today consumers plan and book their trips. Tour operators suffered the rise of independent travel and are today embracing the online and mobile channels in order to stay competitive,” says Rossini.

While the internet killed off many high street travel agents, others have been forced to adapt to a very changing marketplace, with many embracing the internet by introducing online bookings.

“As part of our omnichannel strategy, Thomas Cook has seen the need to make sure our customers can be served in a seamless way through whatever channel they wish – online through mobile, tablet, desktop or offline in a store or over the phone,” says its group head of digital operations, Graham Cook. The company has stepped up its digital innovation of late, even introducing virtual reality experiences across select stores.

One of the biggest disruptors to the travel industry has of course been Airbnb , which spurred the launch of other similar online-only companies such as One Fine Stay . Thanks to the rise of such sharing-economy companies we’re more likely to book a room in a stranger’s house, with 9% of UK and US travellers having rented space in a private home or apartment.

“The digital revolution has impacted almost everything in the world as we know it,” says James McClure, country manager for UK and Ireland at Airbnb . “In Airbnb’s case, technology has also brought tradition into the mainstream. The concept of staying in people’s homes when travelling is not a new one and dates back many centuries, but what technology has been able do is accelerate this to a fast-moving and easily-accessible global phenomenon.”

Technology has also presented new opportunities for small businesses in the travel sector, allowing consumers worldwide to stumble across say a B&B in Brighton or luxury safari park in Kenya through online review sites, social media and the businesses’ own websites.

“We pivoted from a hotel guidebook to become an online travel agent just as the internet started to become a place people could finally trust with their credit cards,” says Mr & Mrs Smith’s Lohan. “In the whole of that first month online we did 10 bookings – now we do 300 a day.” While she says the business changed its model due to internet and allows online bookings, it still runs 24/7 customer service support via phones “for people who want that human element”.

For travel brands it’s meant they have had to get smarter and adapt as consumers expectations rise. Take airlines, some of which now allow passengers to check-in online, access their boarding pass on mobile and operate Wi-Fi on flights.

“Digital technology has changed the way we connect with guests, creating a 24/7 relationship in and out of stay,” says Stephan Croix, vice-president of marketing at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, owner of hotel chains W Hotels and Aloft .

“It is also transforming every phase of hospitality – from finding a hotel, to checking in, to unlocking your door and personalising your stay. As travel is inherently mobile, travellers expect to use their mobile devices to enrich their travel experiences,” Croix says.

As a result, Starwood has adapted and invested in mobile, leading to overall mobile gross bookings rising more than 50% in 2015 compared with the year before.

Like others in the sector, the company is continually embracing technology to woo its digitally-savvy customers. It recently launched “Let’s chat”, enabling guests to communicate with its front desk associates via WhatsApp, Blackberry messenger or iPhone before or during their stay.

So how will technology shape the future of travel? “The next few years will see travellers requiring an increasingly personalised service, with companies able to suggest them customised products on the basis of their profiles and past behaviour,” says Rossini. With many travellers already seeking a more customised and “local” experience, truly personalised trips are already beginning to take off.

Depending on where you live in the world, you might only get between 15-30 annual leave days per year. 

Some countries don’t even offer paid vacation time which sucks!

If, like us, you’ve got a huge bucket list of amazing places to visit around the world , then it’s impossible to prioritise where you’d like to visit during your limited time off each year.

But what if you could work remotely and explore the world as you go?

Luckily, that’s not only possible but is actually extremely common as there are plenty of awesome jobs that you can travel with! 

This article is going to dive into the best travel jobs out there and take a look at the income range and requirements for each one. 

Travel and work don't have to be mutually exclusive , so let’s see which option suits you the best!

How can I work and travel the world at the same time?

Many people think it’s impossible to work and travel around the world at the same time - but we’re living proof that’s just not true! 

Understandably, having the freedom and flexibility to travel whilst making an income is high on many people’s agenda.

Especially after the past few years (which I’m not going to mention how awful they’ve been), people are really starting to reconsider their careers and alternative job possibilities.

This is because many jobs have now switched to remote whereas beforehand, these positions were only ever deemed possible as an on-location position - so for example, office work etc. 

Now, however, there are plenty of remote jobs out there which allow you to travel whilst making an income. 

They all require the same things - determination, work ethic, and commitment. 

You also need to be prepared to upskill yourself and of course, have a dream so you’re passionate about this way of life!

Our story (briefly)

Cazzy and I graduated university back in 2016 and immediately set off on a whirlwind 4 month trip of South America .

It was amazing, but once we returned home, we had spent almost all our savings but now had this burning desire to continue traveling.

Over the next 6 years, we have done a number of online jobs, mostly based around freelance copywriting in order to fund out travels around cheaper destinations in Asia.

All the while growing Dream Big, Travel Far into the site it is today.

It's now one of the world's largest travel blogs, offering us the freedom and flexibility to travel constantly all whilst working as remote digital nomads .

But our story is not unique in any way, and along our travels we have met countless people (both online and in person) living nomadic lifestyles that involve large amounts of travel each year.

And the following showcases just how diverse these jobs can be.

I would certainly not say everyone should start a travel blog, and neither is it the only way to make money traveling.

Types of Travel Jobs

So, there are three main types of travel jobs that can help support your travels.

I’m going to dive into each one here and break down the differences so you’ve got a rough idea of which type suits you the most! 

1. Digital Nomad travel jobs

A digital nomad is essentially anyone who works from a computer and requires access to the internet. 

This could be anything from teaching English online to being a virtual assistant , so there’s no limit to what you can do. 

In my opinion, digital nomad travel jobs offer the ultimate flexibility as you can work from anywhere in the world. You can literally choose your own travel itinerary like we’ve done with our epic road trips .

Not only that, but you can work on your own schedule and as little or often as you’d like. Many of the popular digital nomad destinations like Bali and Thailand also offer co-working spaces, working cafes, and shared hostel areas with fantastic Wi-Fi.

For these types of jobs, it’s essential you have a great-quality laptop but don’t worry as there are lots of excellent options out there.

2. Jobs that literally pay you to travel

If you’d prefer to not work on a computer then this option may be more suited to you! 

Believe it or not, there are actually jobs that PAY you to travel which sounds like a dream right?

This includes working as a flight attendant or on a cruise as a bartender, entertainer, or cabin steward.

You’ll essentially work throughout your dedicated working hours, and then once you’re finished you’re able to explore the area you’re travelling in. 

Many people prefer this type of work as it offers a salary, FREE hotel and cabin stays, and is more ‘secure’ than freelancing or being self-employed.

However, just keep in mind it’s still the same principle as a 9-5 but you can explore during your downtime. 

These job positions don’t offer nearly as much flexibility as digital nomad travel jobs, and still require a lot of time commitments. You also won’t have much time off either! 

Though, if you're simply looking for jobs that let you travel these types of careers are still a fantastic option.

3. Local travel jobs for travellers/backpackers

Many travellers like to get jobs as they travel to offset their costs. 

This often includes positions like bartending, working at a hostel, or being an Au Pair in a specific location. 

Seasonal jobs are also a great option if you’re travelling on a budget and include fruit picking, ski resorts, and working on the fishing rigs. 

These positions often don’t require any previous experience and are temporary which makes them perfect for travellers that are always on the road. 

Just keep in mind that this is typically only effective when travelling through cheap continents like Asia, Central America, and South America . 

The pay for these positions often isn’t great although many do pay cash in hand (shush).

This isn’t a problem if you’re paying $5 a night for a hostel in Thailand but becomes an issue if you’re trying to pay for accommodation in more expensive countries like Australia. 

The Best Digital Nomad Travel Jobs

1. freelance travel writer/copywriting.

Job Income: $0.01 - $1.00 per word

Requirements: Laptop, can write in the English language (depending on the employer), great writing skills, knowledge of SEO (in some cases), WiFi

This is without a doubt one of the easiest ways to become a digital nomad ! It allows plenty of flexibility as you can take on as much work as you want (or as little), leaving plenty of time to explore the destinations you travel to.

This is actually how we actually funded our travels before the blog took off!

Similarly, you can also choose to be a travel writer for other publications which is HIGH in demand right now. 

Not only can you travel yourself, but you’ll also get to write about other destinations and add these places to your ever-growing bucket list. 

As you can see above, there’s a wide range of pay as what you earn depends heavily on several factors; such as experience in that industry. 

The best way to get started is often writing articles on your own blog for the experience (if you have one), or creating a portfolio that you can show to clients.  

Now, you can find your clients on Facebook groups like DNW - Making Money from Blogging and Make Traffic Happen - SEO & Social Media Support , as you’ll find plenty of listings from bloggers who are looking for a ghostwriter!

• Can work to your own schedule so is VERY flexible
• The ability to take on as little or as much work as you like

• You don’t have a guaranteed income each month

Being a travel blogger is a dream for many, and it’s not hard to see why!

Although we may be biased - we absolutely love being travel bloggers as it’s allowed us to see so much of the world whilst working a job we adore ! 

However, it doesn’t appeal to everyone and understandably so as it requires years of hard work. You’ll also need to be prepared to put in the time to learn, as there’s a lot to know about. 

Being a travel blogger allows you to earn passive income through advertising and affiliate marketing if you’ve got plenty of monthly viewers.

This is why there’s such a HUGE range of income, as it all depends on how many readers your travel blog has. 

Some travel bloggers will also get invited to destinations by tourism boards and can make money from sponsored posts and photography too.  

There are plenty of awesome companies out there where you can start your own blog including Wordpress , Squarespace , and Webflow . You can work with the templates already there or create your own depending on who you use!

Of course, if travel blogging itself doesn’t appeal to you then the same goes for being a mommy blogger, or a food blogger.

This can be one of the highest-paying travel jobs out there if you've got the right audience but it's not easy!

3. Teaching English online (TEFL)

Job Income: $1,000-$3,000 per month (depending on the country)

Requirements: Laptop, TEFL certification course, WiFi, speaking fluent English, some companies require a degree

One of the most popular ways to make money whilst travelling is by teaching English online.

You can do this from anywhere in the world as long as you’ve got a very strong WiFi connection, and many of the lessons are only 30 minutes to an hour long. 

All you need is a laptop, which is where you’ll teach English to children over zoom or skype calls.

If you’re looking to teach online there are endless TEFL companies available to help you start your journey including Cambly , Tutor.com , and English Hunt .

Just keep in mind that each company may have a specific set of requirements like being a U.S citizen or a minimum amount of work hours.

Pros of teaching English online:

• The pay is relatively good, especially as the start-up costs aren’t high!
• You can work anywhere in the world

4. Online Translator

Job Income: $20 - $80 per hour

Requirements: laptop, WiFi, fluent in other languages, a degree (in some cases)

If you’re looking for jobs where you can travel, have you ever considered being an online translator?

For this type of work, you’ll need to be fluent in at least one other language, with the most profitable language translations being Arabic, Chinese, and Japanese to English.

Another great option if you’re looking to make money whilst travelling is to become a virtual assistant or VA for short. 

There’s no specific skill set for this job position, as it could include a variety of different roles. 

Essentially, you’ll be providing a service to a company from a remote position whether that is social media management, email management, or content creation.

Even if you have no experience, many of the tasks VAs do are often things you’ll do for yourself anyway like checking emails and finding the best hashtags for an Instagram post.

Previous experience in a gym setting is beneficial, and you may need specific nutrition and fitness certifications if you’re planning to include meal plans etc in your packages.

You can either work for a large travel agency where you’ll get all the perks, or you can work independently once you have the experience .

The great thing about being a freelance photographer is that you can niche down too whether that be luxury travel, adventure travel, or a specific part of the world. 

The best way to get started is to pick up your camera and practice every day! You’ll also want to build a website where you can sell prints and create a portfolio that you can show to clients.

Of course, if you’re looking to produce short films then that’s likely to be much more lucrative. 

The best way to start is to invest in a camera and editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro. Then, get out there and shoot some footage that you can bring together in a project. 

There are plenty of platforms where you can show off your skill set including Tik Tok, Instagram reels, and Youtube (but we’ll dive into that in a minute).

You’ll also want to create a website and a portfolio that’s easy for clients to find!

• It’s not an easy career and takes years of practice to develop your skill set
• The equipment is VERY expensive, so be prepared for high start-up costs

10. YouTube/Travel Vlogging

Although we’re travel bloggers, we’ve recently fallen in love with YouTube and travel vlogging!

It’s a great way to showcase your travels, create memories and videos you can reminisce on, and build up a fantastic audience that loves the same things as you do!

There are plenty of travel vloggers out there, and many of them get paid to visit destinations and shoot content for their audience. 

However, just keep in mind that it’s not a cheap career as you’ll need to invest in a good quality camera and microphone , as well as other videography equipment too.  

If you don’t want travel vlogging to be your full-time job, you can also think of it as a side hustle or a way to promote another business.

This goes for other niches too like food, fashion, gaming, and tech!

You’ll just need to invest in some specialised software first including Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator among others!

Although website development and graphic design are different, they often go hand in hand which is why I’ve grouped them together.

12. work on a cruise ship or yacht.

Job Income: $1,000 - $3,500 per month

Requirements: Prior experience for some positions, but it's generally not needed for many roles

If you’re looking for jobs that require international travel with no experience, then I’d recommend working on a cruise ship or a yacht.

The positions include entertainers, chefs, childcare, and bar staff - so there’s something for everyone! 

If you’re a cruise ship worker or you get a job on a yacht, all your accommodation, food, transport, and insurance are generally covered. This means you’re literally getting PAID to travel! 

However, just keep in mind that it’s still the same principle as your 9-5 so doesn’t offer as much flexibility.

13. Flight Attendant

Job Income: $1,000 - $3,000 per month

Requirements: No specific requirements apart from training and enhanced background checks

When people think about paying travel jobs, the first one that often springs to mind is a flight attendant. 

This career offers you the chance to explore the world, with a ton of great perks too including FREE or discounted flights, hotel discounts, and expense reimbursements. 

When it comes to finding flight attendant jobs, there are a couple of options! You can either look on general job sites like Indeed or there are specific websites for this position.

This includes the likes of All Flying Jobs and Airline Career . Depending on your location, you can also search the specific airline companies to see whether they’re taking on recruits.

Requirements: No previous experience needed or requirements, just training

You don’t need to be local either, as many tour operators will also have a local guide with you throughout the trip.

Cons of being a tour leader: 

• You won’t have free time during the tours, so any ‘extra’ exploring will have to be done afterwards
• It’s a demanding role as you’ll have to deal with the needs of at least 10-15 people

15. Teach English Abroad

Job Income: $1,500 - $3,000 per month (depending on the country)

Requirements: TEFL certificate, a degree (in some cases), fluent in English

If you don’t like the idea of working online, then you can teach English abroad instead! 

The same as working online, you’ll require a TEFL certificate before you apply for any positions, and some schools may want you to be degree-level educated.

However, once you’re good to go there are a ton of fantastic opportunities waiting for you.

Once you’ve found your ideal destination, the process is pretty simple and many schools will offer you an interview straight away.

If you've dreamed of being an English teacher but you still want to travel the world on a regular basis then this is the perfect option!

• You’ll be getting out of your comfort zone which is what travel is all about!

The Best Local Travel Jobs

16. working at a hostel.

Job Income: $7 - $10 an hour 

Requirements: No necessary requirements

If you’re just looking for a simple on-the-go travel job, then working at a hostel is a great option!

It usually includes roles like working on reception, minding the bar, and housekeeping so there’s plenty to be getting on with.

Although it’s not the most glamorous of jobs, your accommodation is sometimes included or at least heavily discounted. 

There are also plenty of job positions to be found throughout the world, so make sure you check out websites like Hostel Jobs and World Packers .

This travel job is extremely popular with budget backpackers and nomads, and is a fantastic way to offset costs while you travel.

Pros of working at a hostel:

• One of the less stressful travel jobs out there
• You’ll find positions across every part of the world - so there’s no shortage where you can travel to

Cons of working at a hostel:  

• Not very well paid, but accommodation is sometimes included too
• You’ll often be working long hours

Before you decide on whether to work abroad or not there are a couple of things you should consider. 

Now, this may be the more ‘boring’ side of working remotely but they are vital factors to think about! 

Working Holiday Visas

The type of visa you require whilst travelling will depend on what type of job you’re looking to do. 

However, the standard option is the working holiday visa. This allows you to live and work in countries such as Australia, Canada, and Japan for up to 12 months. 

Although this is only a recent thing, many countries are now offering digital nomad visas too which is INSANE!

This means you’ll be covered if you want to work remotely from your laptop, and is perfect for people always on the move!

Although many people don’t like to spend their money on travel insurance it’s an absolute must!

It covers you for medical care, flight or hotel cancellations, and any baggage losses - although if you have lots of equipment you’ll probably want a separate gadget cover.

Work/life balance

Computation of Accumulated Spend: Multiple Metrobank credit cards under the same customer number will be considered as one unique cardholder. Qualified and posted transaction transactions made by supplementary cardholder/s and/or other Metobank credit card/s (if any) which share the same customer number will be combined in computing the total minimum accumulated spend. A cardholder will only qualify for one (1) incentive throughout the promo period regardless if the accumulated spend exceeds the spend tier.

Redemption of Token Code:

A registered customer will not be automatically registered in the promo if he or she changes or updates his or her mobile number.

If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after successful registration, a cardholder will not be automatically registered in the promo. It is the responsibility of the cardholder to inform Metrobank by calling our Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700 that he or she changes and/or updates his or her mobile number and would like to register the new mobile number. To avail of the promo, a principal cardholder must register from November 15, 2023 to January 15, 2024 and must follow the registration process stated in number 4 promo mechanics. Transaction/s made before the successful registration as long as it’s within the promo period and within the qualified transactions will be included in computing the total accumulated spend of the cardholder.

Note: The metrobankcard.mymcc.gift powered by Giftaway will only ask for your mobile number and verification code sent to your mobile number. Metrobank and Giftaway will never ask for your card number, expiry date, CVV, OTP via links in e-mail, SMS or phone calls.

Supplementary cardholder/s is/are automatically registered once the principal cardholder has successfully registered for the promo. Transaction/s made by the supplementary cardholder/s will be included in the primary cardholder’s transaction/s.

By completing cardholders’ registration, he or she agrees that his personal informational shall be subject to confidentiality, data privacy and other security terms of Metrobank’s service provider, Giftaway.

A visual transaction and incentive tracker where all qualified transaction and incentive will be available to registered cardholders starting by November 24, 2023. Only the principal cardholder can access the tracker which will be updated within 8 to 10 banking days after the transaction has been posted in Metrobank system. Metrobank will no longer send token SMS with links in compliance with the BSP Memorandum No. M-2022-015.

Multiple Metrobank credit cards under the same customer number will be considered as one unique cardholder. Qualified and posted transactions made by supplementary cardholder/s and/or other Metrobank credit card/s (if any) which share the same customer number will be combined in computing for the total minimum accumulated spend. A cardholder will only qualify for one (1) incentive throughout the promo period regardless if accumulated spend exceeds the spend tier.

The computation of the accumulated spend will be considered on a customer level.

Once the cardholder reached the first tier of the accumulated spend, the cardholder will receive an SMS on how to claim the cash rebate and has the option to claim it for first tier OR disregard the SMS and accumulate for higher tier to receive higher incentive. If the cardholder redeems the incentive for first tier, a cardholder can NO LONGER qualify for higher tier. A cardholder is only allowed to qualify for one (1) incentive and redeem once throughout the duration of the promo period.

In the Giftaway website or visual tracker, a cardholder must click the "Use This" button within sixty (60) calendar days after the receipt of the confirmation or qualified SMS to get the cash rebate eGift posted in the website. The redemption period is from November 15, 2023 to March 5, 2024. All unredeemed token code will be forfeited after the expiration date indicated in the website. Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to extend the validity of the token code once the sixty (60) calendar days has passed.

The registered and qualified cardholder who reached the minimum accumulated spend by using his or her credit card will receive a qualified or confirmation SMS from Metrobank and may redeem the Metrobank Cash Rebate by following the How to Redeem instruction in the Promo Highlight. The cash rebate will be credited to the primary cardholders’ account with the highest overseas spend within 60 calendar days after the end of the redemption period.

The cash rebate earned under this promo will be reflected in the cardholder’s’ Statement of Account with the transaction description: 2023 Q4 Big Travel Bonus

Metrobank will not accommodate request of cardholder to cancel, reverse or applied to other incentive or reward once a valid redemption is made. All redemption will be considered final.

“Qualified Transactions” Includes all card present and card not present transactions made international or overseas.

“Non-Qualified Transactions” includes all local retail purchases at groceries, department stores, gasoline stations, restaurants, Internet, and Mail Order/Telephone Order, foreign currency transactions, merchant installment such as 0% installment, Shop Now, Pay Later, reduced rates, regular rates, Bills2Pay, Balance Transfer, Balance Conversion, Cash2Go, Cash Advance, mobile payment / mobile wallet transactions, online payment system and transactions with merchant category code of 6540 (such as but not limited to Lazada Top Up, PayMaya Add Money, Shopee Pay, GrabPay) found in Metrobank’s database are excluded from this promotion.

The incentive cost equivalent is valid in conjunction with any ongoing promos.
