Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil reveals plans for 2024 tour and third Vegas residency

"We're far from being over", the frontman said of the band's recently finalised Stadium Tour

vince neil house tour

Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil has revealed that the band is planning a 2024 tour, and has intentions of completing a third residency at Las Vegas.

Neil – who last week (September 9) wrapped up this year’s stretch of the group’s Stadium Tour alongside bandmates Tommy Lee , Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars – revealed the band’s future schedule in an interview with Las Vegas Review-Journal .

“I am kind of sad, because it’s been so much fun,” Neil said of The Stadium Tour’s completion, “[but] we’re far from being over. When we come back in ’24, we’re going to do it all over again.”

The Stadium Tour,  which has thus far  taken Mötley Crüe across the US and Canada from June through to September, will re-commence in February of next year. The band is expected to again enlist tourmates Def Leppard , Poison and Joan Jett for the 2023 run of shows, which will take place across Mexico, South America, Europe and more.

Nothing as big as this comes from any one person alone. Yes, you see us onstage and sometimes it seems as if it’s all… Posted by Motley Crue on  Saturday, September 10, 2022

Earlier this year, Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen revealed similar long-term intentions for the tour, telling Chile’s Radio Futuro that The Stadium Tour would run for “at least three years”.

“Definitely next summer is gonna be Europe, and then South America, Australia [and] Japan. Next year, hopefully at some point, we’ll be playing all of those markets,” Collen said (as per Noise 11 ). Sixx echoed similar intentions in August.

While Neil didn’t reveal specifics of the prospective 2024 tour, he did say that he intends for Mötley Crüe’s return to include a residency in Las Vegas. Should it come to fruition, the residency would mark Mötley Crüe’s third stint on the strip, having completed runs of Vegas shows at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in 2012 and 2013.

“We have definitely talked about doing [another Vegas residency], and everybody loves to do the residencies. So I say, ‘Yeah, we’re gonna do it.’ We just have to look at sometime in ‘24, to be back in Vegas, but we will be back,” Neil said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Neil confirmed that despite their plans to continue touring, a new Mötley Crüe album is not on the cards. “We are strictly a touring band,” he said “there are a lot of cool special effects [on the tour], and we’re just a cool band putting on a rock show.”

Mötley Crüe’s Stadium Tour, which began in June and marks their first tour since officially reuniting in 2018, has been rife with complications. In June, Lee left and later rejoined the tour after an injury left the drummer with broken ribs . Last month, a man attending the band’s tour date in Indianapolis was injured after falling from the upper level of the Lucas Oil Stadium.

Earlier this week, Lee revealed to crowds at one of the final Vegas shows that he’d joined OnlyFans . The drummer referenced the full-frontal nude photo he’d posted to Instagram last month, which he said came off the back of “a motherfucking bender.”

via AXS TV / Youtube

Vince Neil, the iconic frontman of Mötley Crüe, recently gave viewers an inside look into his Nashville home on an episode of AXS TV’s Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar.

Hagar, the former lead singer of Van Halen, traveled to Nashville to visit Neil and explore his property. The episode showed Neil giving Hagar a tour of his stunning home, complete with an impressive collection of guitars and a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside.

The episode began with Hagar and Neil reminiscing about their early days on the rock and roll scene. They then headed to Neil’s home, where the tour began in his spacious studio filled with guitars and other musical equipment. Neil showed off his favorite guitars, including a beautiful Les Paul, and shared some of his favorite stories from his time with Mötley Crüe.

The tour continued outside, where Neil introduced Hagar to his horses and showed off his custom-built garage filled with his impressive car collection, including a vintage Cadillac and a sleek Lamborghini. Neil also showed off his stunning pool and outdoor entertaining area, which featured a built-in bar and a beautiful view of the Tennessee hills.

Throughout the episode, Neil shared his passion for music, cars, and his beautiful home, offering a glimpse into the life of a rock star. Hagar, for his part, was clearly impressed with Neil’s property and his rock and roll legacy.

Watch MÖTLEY CRÜE's VINCE NEIL Play His First Solo Show Of 2022

MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil played his first concert of 2022 last night (Friday, January 14) at Hollywood Casino in Columbus, Ohio. Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be seen below.

The Columbus show marked Neil 's second live appearance since he reportedly broke his ribs while performing with his solo band at the Monsters On The Mountain festival at LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on October 15. Fan-filmed video of that gig showed the 60-year-old rocker walking to the front of the stage with his guitar strapped around him. He encouraged the crowd to clap along while playing the 1989 MÖTLEY CRÜE hit "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)" when he suddenly fell and dropped out of the camera's view almost instantly. TMZ later reported that there was a small gap between the speaker and the stage that Neil didn't notice. His roadie and a security guy helped him get to his feet, and Vince "limped away."

Last May, Neil made headlines when he struggled to complete his solo concert at the Boone Iowa River Valley Festival in Boone. Based on fan-filmed video footage of the gig posted on YouTube , the rocker, who hadn't performed in more than a year and a half due to the COVID-19 pandemic, began losing his voice several songs into his set, which consisted exclusively of CRÜE classics and cover songs previously recorded by the band.

MÖTLEY CRÜE 's "The Stadium Tour" with DEF LEPPARD , POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS was originally scheduled to take place in the summer of 2020 but ended up being pushed back to 2021, and then to 2022, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In December 2019, CRÜE manager Allen Kovac told Fox Business that "some of" the bandmembers had enlisted outside help to get in shape for the trek. Kovac was referring to criticism of Neil for his supposed diminished singing ability and weight gain, as well as the health status of guitarist Mick Mars , who has been dealing with a chronic form of arthritis that led him to undergo a hip replacement.

Kovac explained: "Some of them are working with a trainer, some of them are working with a nutritionist to make themselves the best they can be. The greatest insecurity for an artist is: Is anyone going to care about my music? Is anyone going to buy a ticket? We were in November [2019] when the discussions were happening, and these guys were already into regimens of how they get ready for a tour."

Speaking specifically about Neil , Kovac added: "Let's see what Vince sings like and looks like when the tour goes out."

CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx also said that Vince was "killing it" while working with "trainers" and "nutritionists" in preparation for "The Stadium Tour" .

Vince Neil Returns to the Stage After Thwarted Festival Performance

Motley Crue 's  Vince Neil  triumphantly returned in concert on Thursday (Aug. 5) following a May festival gig many saw as an embarrassment when the vocalist left the stage amid a less-than-stellar solo performance.

Rock radio personality  Eddie Trunk shared clips that showed Neil singing strong at a closed-to-the-public event in Austin, Texas, on Thursday. And Neil wasn't the only famous rock singer in the house — "Private show I hosted tonight with Vince and [ Sammy Hagar ]," Trunk relayed in a series of updates on social media.

See the footage near the bottom of this post.

Next year, Neil will lead Motley Crue on the band's anticipated  Stadium Tour  with Def Leppard and more. The trek was  already twice postponed , because of restrictions related to the  COVID-19 pandemic , before fans worried this spring if Neil had hurt his voice.

Fellow musicians were concerned about the Motley Crue singer too. (Neil  canceled his concert  directly after the May misfire, only his second planned show of 2021.) After all, the Shout at the Devil trailblazers remain an influential force in the world of rock and metal.

"I feel bad for Vince," Nonpoint drummer Robb Rivera said in June . "Motley Crue is such a great band. He's got a year to get it together for next year. I mean, it's sad, but I still love Motley Crue, regardless. I know he's had some struggles and getting older … it happens."

It was at Iowa's Boone River Valley Festival on May 29 that Neil struggled to sing Motley Crue's "Girls, Girls, Girls" and other songs before walking offstage, reportedly telling the audience, "My fuckin' voice is gone." He's scheduled to perform with his solo band at Tennessee's  Monsters on the Mountain Festival  this fall.

Hopefully all is well with the singer now. Below, see videos of Neil's onstage return, with the performer belting out Crue's "Dr. Feelgood" and "Looks That Kill." Hagar performed Van Halen's "Poundcake," as also shown in one of Trunk's updates from the event.

Vince Neil Announces Another MÖTLEY CRÜE Stadium Tour For 2024

Vince Neil Announces Another MÖTLEY CRÜE Stadium Tour For 2024 | Society Of Rock Videos

via anushkacz1 / YouTube

In a recent interview with The Music Universe on June 29, MÖTLEY CRÜE’s iconic frontman, Vince Neil, spilled the beans about the band’s covert club performance in London, England.

Operating in secret under the alias “DÖGS OF WAR,” MÖTLEY CRÜE orchestrated a sensation with their covert performance, selling out tickets in the blink of an eye.

Vince Neil’s enthusiasm was palpable as he shared the thrill, saying (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET ):

“Well, we went in the studio not too long ago — about six months ago — and recorded three new songs. And one of ’em is called ‘Dogs Of War’. And we’re doing a show tomorrow night at a club here in London [under the name] DÖGS OF WAR. And I guess word got out, ’cause it sold out in less than a minute. So it was pretty cool”
View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Mötley Crüe (@motleycrue)

Reflecting on the recent studio sessions with renowned producer Bob Rock, Neil expressed his contentment:

“It’s neat. There’s three brand new MÖTLEY CRÜE songs. And we’re gonna film it tomorrow night. I hope people like it.”

When the question of inspiration arose regarding their return to the studio, Vince shared insight into the creative process, stating:

“Well, we’ve written the songs, and then we had Bob Rock, our producer, come in and take a listen to ’em too. We got some studio time and went in and recorded. I didn’t record with the band, ’cause I’m in Nashville, and they’re in L.A. They recorded the tracks in Nashville, and then I did like a Zoom call with the producer for three days. And I did all the songs. And they turned out really well. One of them is the BEASTIE BOYS song ‘Fight For Your Right’… That turned out really cool.”

Anticipation brewed as Neil was prodded about the possibility of a new full-length album.

With a hint of mystery, he replied:

“I don’t know if we’re gonna do a whole album or not. We’ll see how these songs go first.”
View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Backstage Magazine (@backstagemagazinecr)

Peering into the future, Vince divulged MÖTLEY CRÜE’s exciting plans, revealing:

“We’re gonna finish up. We have eight shows in the U.S. after [our current European tour with DEF LEPPARD]. Then we go to Australia and Japan. And then we do… I think we’re gonna go back in the studio for a couple of more songs. And then we will announce a new stadium tour for next summer. And we’re not sure who’s gonna be on it, but there’ll be another tour.”

MÖTLEY CRÜE fans have a lot to look forward to, with fresh music on the horizon and the promise of a stadium tour that’s bound to rock the world once more.

"I need support, not criticism": Watch a snippet of the new Vince Neil documentary

Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil: My Story will show on Reelz this Sunday, and promises an insight into the singer's turbulent career

Vince Neil sitting in front of a pool table

With Motley Crue back in the public eye as the Stadium Tour shifts into top gear, US television network Reelz have seized the opportunity to make a documentary about band frontman Vince Neil.

Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil: My Story will air this Sunday, and was made with Neil's full cooperation. The channel promise that the two-hour film will lift the lid on the singer's often turbulent career, from the band's beginnings on Sunset Strip and their subsequent rise to stardom, as well as covering more difficult ground like the tragic death of his young daughter and the car crash that killed Hanoi Rocks drummer Razzle .

“Vince Neil's story is an extraordinary tale," says executive producer and director Scott Sternberg. "When he decided to do this two-hour documentary, he said what was most important to him was he wanted it to be a tell all. The good, the bad, the ugly and the truth.

"His on camera interviews became the voice of the project and from there, we were able to bring on others to support it, including his kids who had not spoken out before. I'm very proud of our entire team for getting this powerful story made."

In the snippet below, Neil talks about the grind of the road, and about unhappy experiences working in the studio.

"I hated being in the recording studio," says Neil. "I would sing something, and they'd be like 'No no no, don't sing it like that... do it like this .' It was just criticism. And finally I was like, 'go fuck yourselves', and I'd just leave. You know, I don't need criticism. When you're singing, you need support. Not criticism."

The new documentary, which features interviews with bandmates Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx , would seem to reflect a much improved relationship between Motley Crue and Reelz, who were described by Sixx as "the bottom of the barrel" in 2019 after the broadcast of an episode of their Breaking The Band series that centred on the band .

The channel were also slammed recently by Wolfgang Van Halen , who took exception to a recent episode of their long-running Autopsy series which explored the death of his father, Eddie Van Halen .

Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil: My Story will air this Sunday at 5pm PT / 8pm ET.
