I took my truck, just a box truck to do express oil change at TA, Wheat Ridge near Denver, Co and got horrible experience. First the supervisor directed a trainee to enter it as rapid oil change which apparently means something else. When her shift was over, another lady came in and directed the trainee to enter it as express oil change. Now, I asked for express because I did not have much time to wait as I already had a load to deliver in LA,CA. It took 3 sold hrs for the technician to finish the express oil change, not because it takes that long, but because the technician was jumping from here to there and for sure did not know what he was doing. When I was told he is done, he had only changed 2 filters, the Freightliner box truck has 3 filters. He went back to change one more. When that was done, the vehicle could not start, apparently he had not done something right, another senior technician came and corrected him and the vehicle started. When I went to pay the bill, there were 3 steps of oil change that I should have seen and should ask the technician to show me if I did not see him doing. I approved the bill, thinking I will go to the technician and he would show them to me when I'm taking out the truck. When that time came and I asked him, he replied with an attitude, "now what don't you see?" I told him never mind; I did not want to lose any more time. Whatever he did to the truck I'm not so sure it was all fine because the truck brought on engine check lights which I had to drive with till i could find another repair shop. I tried to ask the senior technician, he told me they would go off after a short drive. I drove more than 300 miles when they're still on and had to truck the shop for another phase of repairs for the problem I did not have. Though the oil change was shoddy and took too long to finish which wasn't necessary, I was billed $551 compared to $365 that I had paid at Speedco previously moreover the speedco bill included greasing which my TA technician did not do as that would be another billable work. - Exuberantly charged, - for shoddy work, - got extra problems and had to pay for another repair services, - lost time and nearly missed my delivery appointment That is my experience with TA and tell me why I should ever go TA or advise anyone else to go there?

Credit card at pump was awkward to use, but there is plenty of room to pull in and out and the pumps were fast.

So i guess you can say the lizards arent too picky on your cleanliness haha this place is sketchy so try not to look like a victim. • KEVO September 9, 2022, 6:55 am My alternator went out on my box truck. I called road service and they matched me up with this location. Two mechanics came out. First of all they arrived in less than 90 minutes! When they arrived they went right to work! They had to call around to get the part but they eventually found it. They left to go get the part and came back. When they came back to my truck they immediately got to work. These two guys tonight I didn’t get their names but they were very professional, made a couple of jok es which was great because I was already having a stressful couple of days but these guys made it great for me today. This is the first review I ever did on a truck stop but this one in particular has two of the best diesel mechanics I’ve ever did business with! Thanks guys!!!! … – show 0 0 Reply

First Quaker Steak & Lube Express Opens at TA in Gary, Indiana

Travel Center Undergoes Extensive Renovations

Known for its “Best Wings USA,” the new quick-serve Quaker Steak & Lube counter-service dining concept will offer many fan favorites, including jumbo bone-in wings, grilled boneless wings, breaded boneless wings, and fried chicken, all of which can be sauced with any of eight signature sauce choices; steak sandwiches; ½ lb. steak burgers; salads; wraps, crispy shrimp; mac & cheese, and a variety of side items, such as Lube Fries and Lube Chips. Guests can enjoy dining in food-court style seating with tables and booths to accommodate more than 110 customers, with six wall-mounted TVs to watch their favorite sports and games.

“We are excited to bring this new walk-up concept of The Lube to professional drivers, motorists and the Gary community,” shared Bruce Lane, Vice President of Quaker Steak & Lube. “We understand that eating great tasting food that is served quickly is a priority for those who are dining on-the-go. Quaker Steak & Lube Express combines quick service with food and flavors guests won’t find anyplace else on the highway,” he added.

Guests can also purchase bottled sauces as well as gift cards that can be used at nearly 50 Quaker Steak & Lube locations nationwide. Coming soon to the Quaker Steak & Lube Express will be online ordering for those who want to pick-up and go. A breakfast menu also will be added in the coming months. The hours of operation for Quaker Steak & Lube Express are 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. seven days a week. Members of TravelCenters’ UltraONE® Professional Driver Rewards Program may redeem Points at Quaker Steak & Lube Express.

Visitors at TA Gary will also enjoy a number of renovations throughout the travel center, including a remodeled Minit Mart® travel store, renovated restrooms, and new signage boasting the TA logo in sleek black and silver letters.
