We provided everyone with their camping forms when they checked in for the Bluegrass. Most had them turned in before they left the park and few didn’t.

Those who didn’t turn in the form, have until JANUARY 31st to turn it in and All sites need to be paid in full By the 31st. – We will release your spot to those that are on the waiting list if we don’t have your forms and payments. (Same rule as last year.)

• Seating is a daily first come, first serve.  * Saving seats are ONLY allowed if your attending the show and need to get up to use the restroom, breaks, food, phone calls, etc.
• Pets are to be kept on a leash and left at your campsite. No pets allowed in the concert area.
• Pets MUST be cleaned up after.
• Any pet that is barking or becoming a nuisance to its neighbor will not be permitted to stay.
• Out of respect for others do not bring pets into the bathhouse.
• No smoking or cell phones in concert area.
• No audio or video recording.
• We reserve the right to refuse admittance to anyone. Rules Strictly Enforced!
• Armbands must be worn at all times. Broken armbands will not be accepted.
• No high-backed chairs, lounge chairs, chairs with attachments (foot rests, tables, etc.) or coolers in seating area.
• We allow one car per campsite. Extra cars per campsite will be charged $5 per night plus applicable festival ticket admission.
• All golf carts need to be registered at the front gate for $20. You must be a licensed driver to operate a golf cart. $50,000 liability insurance required on golf cart.

We are totally dedicated to promoting an atmosphere at this festival that your whole family will enjoy. No Alcoholic Beverages Allowed.

Nightly- Join the Malpass Brothers for a jam session, all is welcome, till 12:00am located at the band merchandise shelter next to the Music hall. 

Saturday Only : FREE Children’s Area Available with Rides and Games Sunday : 9:00 am Church Service

BBQ Chicken Meal & Open Stage, the day before at 6 p.m. Plates includes: BBQ Chicken, Slaw, Baked Beans, Bun, Dessert, Tea, or Coffee. Plates Prices: $14.00 in advance or $16.00 at the gate.

30 amp campsite (water & electricity hookups only) : $35.00/per night

30 amp campsite (full hookups) : $45.00/per night

50 amp campsite (water & electricity hookups only): $50.00/per night

Please print off and Mail in application with a form of payment. If you don’t wish to mail, you can Email us the camping form with a card number or include your phone number to pay over the phone.

When you are at the ticket gate upon check in, you will be given a form for next years show. Make sure when you’re renewing for next years event that you please have the form turned in before you leave show grounds with payment; if you wish to save the same spot you have been given.

**Any RV’s dropped off early (not occupied) to reserve site before festival begins will be charged $5.00/per night without hookups, or $10.00/per night with hookups. Anyone planning to occupy their RV on dates before or after festival dates will be expected to pay the appropriate nightly fee (listed above) for each night of stay**

**Due to new insurance regulations, Denton FarmPark will be charging a $20 registration fee along with proof of insurance to register golf carts that are brought in as a convenience to our campers. Otherwise Golf Carts can be rented for $145 a day or $400 for the 3 Day festival.**

Christopher earned his first talent show trophy at age 7, and Taylor was playing mandolin by the time he was 10. Today, they promote the work and music of classic country artists they treasure while creating new music and making their own mark in the lineage of a rich American cultural heritage.

Tickets to The Malpass Brothers are $35 each. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for an additional $20 each. VIP tickets include a pre-show meet and greet with photo opportunities and light refreshments. VIP tickets are purchased as an “add on” as you purchase your regular ticket.

We are so excited to welcome back The Malpass Brothers to Tomball, Texas to perform on the Main Street Crossing stage. What an honor it is to host you for a live concert with an artist up-close. Buy your tickets and read a little more about The Malpass Brothers below.

As young boys, Christopher and Taylor Malpass soaked up the music of their granddad’s phonograph records. Christopher earned his first talent show trophy at age 7, and Taylor was playing mandolin by the time he was 10. Today, they promote the work and music of classic country artists they treasure while creating new music and making their own mark in the lineage of a rich American cultural heritage.

With sincerity, honesty and an utter ease on stage that belies their years, their smooth vocal blend and skillful musicianship layer infectiously into the deep respect they pay to legends who have paved the way. Add the funny, off-the-cuff quips between the two 20-something siblings, and the engaging concert becomes a magnetic time-traveling journey to when a calmer rhythm reigned supreme.

The Malpass Brothers toured with the late Don Helms, former steel guitarist for Hank Williams, have opened for music legend Merle Haggard on multiple tours and appeared on stages from the Shetland Islands to Ryman Auditorium to Merlefest. Gifted musicians and songwriters, the brothers have shared billing with artists including Ray Price, Willie Nelson, Doyle Lawson, Rhonda Vincent, Marty Stuart, Doc Watson and more. The title cut video from their “Memory That Bad” album hit CMT Pure Country’s Top Ten. Their most recent self-titled recording, produced by bluegrass legend Doyle Lawson, was released by Crossroads’ Organic Records in 2015.

If you like cornbread & hush puppies, you’re gonna love the Malpass Brothers. If you like sweet tea, barbecue & collards, you’re gonna love the Malpass Brothers. • Sounds of the Mountains: The Malpass Brothers - RESCHEDULED

The Blue Ridge Music Center and Yadkin Arts Council present the Sounds of the Mountains concert series each January. The series kicks off this year with a performance by The Malpass Brothers and special guests The Foreign Landers.  Tickets are $30.

The Foreign Landers is a duo hailing from opposite sides of the Atlantic united by their love of bluegrass and traditional folk music and their love for each other. Together they combine the musical styles of their respective homelands, along with their instrumental prowess and haunting vocals to create something new.

• Please clean up after your pets.
• Any pet that is barking or becomes a nuisance to its neighbor will not be permitted to stay.

Concert Area

• No smoking in concert area.
• No cell phones in concert area.
• No audio or video recording.
• Armbands must be worn at all times. Broken armbands will not be accepted.
• Seating is first come, first serve.
• No high-backed chairs, lounge chairs, chairs with attachments (food rests, tables, etc.), or coolers in concert area.
• One car allowed per campsite. Any extra cars will be charged $10 per night plus applicable festival ticket admission.
• All golf carts must be registered at the front gate. Golf cart registration is $20. $50,000 liability insurance required upon registration.
• You must be a licensed driver to operate a golf cart.

June Jam 2024 lineup announced, featuring an ‘American Idol’ winner

A labama isn’t waiting nearly as long between June Jams this time. Last year, the Country Music Hall of Fame group held their all-day concert for the first time since 1997.

Now, Alabama, still led by singer Randy Owen and bassist Teddy Gentry, have announced the rest of June Jam 2024′s performers. The lineup features former “American Idol” winner Taylor Hicks , as well as country acts Old Dominion, Shenandoah, Montgomery Gentry, Exile, John Berry, Malpass Brothers and The Castellows.

June Jam ‘24 tickets ($49 - $250 plus fees) are currently on sale via ticketmaster.com.

Last year’s June Jam reboot drew a sold-out crowd of around 11,000 fans, who took in performances by Alabama, Jamey Johnson, Jake Owen, Oak Ridge Boys, Janie Fricke, Chapel Heart and others. That 2023 version was the first June Jam without Jeff Cook, Alabama’s beloved guitarist, who died in 2022 at age 73 .

Formed by cousins Cook, Gentry and Owen in the early ‘70s as Wildcountry, Alabama bloomed into superstars in the ‘80s. The group scored more than 40 country number-one hits, including “Mountain Music,” “40 Hour Week,” “Feels So Right,” “Old Flame,” “The Closer You Get” and “Song of the South.” They also sold more than 73 million albums.

During the 1980s, Alabama had 10 straight albums go platinum or multiplatinum, including iconic LPs like “The Closer You Get…” and “Roll On.” The group released their most recent studio album, “Southern Drawl,” in 2015. They released a Christmas album in 2017.

According to a press release, last year’s June Jam “raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, which will be used as future grants for those in need of disaster relief.” In total, the previous 17 June Jams have raised more than 20 million dollars for charities, according to the band.

“We are excited and look forward to playing our songs for y’all at this year’s Jam,” Owen said in a statement. “We have a true mutual love for our fans, and they always support the band and the June Jam Foundation.”

In a statement, Gentry added, “When we started the first June Jam in 1982 as a charity concert event, it was attended by over 30,000 fans. At the time, it was the largest country music festival in the United States. Now we are getting ready for our 18th concert. We want to welcome everyone to Fort Payne, Alabama, our hometown. Come have a great time and help others in need.”

In addition to Alabama, performers at June Jams from ‘82 and ‘87 included the likes of Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, The Judds, Charley Pride, Steve Earle, Clint Black, Charlie Daniels Band and Glen Campbell. Attendance peaked in 1991 at around 67,000.

A C T   O N E  SCENE 1

Dr Silbergaus hosts a Christmas Eve party for his daughter Clara.  The guest of honour is Clara’s Godfather Drosselmeyer, arriving with gifts for the young girl, including a book entitled The Nutcracker & the Mouse King.  Clara becomes enthralled with the book as other guests arrive and admire the Christmas tree. Drosselmeyer appears as Santa Clause, with toys for the children and carnival masks for the adults.  Later, he surprises everyone by appearing as a magician.   He orders mechanical toys to be brought into the room.  At the wave of his wand, three puppets appear – a Nutcracker, a Doll, and a Mouse King.  

The Nutcracker starts dancing declaring he can gain victory over everyone.  Everybody joins in the dancing, except Clara who watches the Mouse King come to life and challenge the Nutcracker for the right to dance with the Doll. The Nutcracker and Mouse King are soon fighting, and Clara realises this is just what she read in her book.  The Doll throws a slipper at the fighting pair, who stop just as Drosselmeyer re-appears.  The guests congratulate him on a wonderful show.   Clara’s brother Fritz challenges the Nutcracker to a duel.   In the ensuing fight, the Nutcracker is wounded. Fritz is punished, and the toys are covered up.   Clara is comforted by her Godfather, who tells her that she will see more later that night.   

The guests depart, thanking the host Dr. Silbergaus.  Clara sits in her darkened room with the damaged Nutcracker.  She wonders what her Godfather had meant ….what surprises will be in store for her.   Soon she is awakened by a strange rattling noise. “Mice,” thinks Clara. But these are not ordinary mice they are dressed to celebrate Christmas.  She tries to escape when the clock strikes midnight, the mice are still and Clara sees her Godfather sitting on top of the clock. When she begs him for help Drosselmeyer takes her in his arms.   

As the Christmas tree begins to grow, the Nutcracker comes back to life. He leaps to his feet and calls upon his friends to help fight the mice.  An army of toy soldiers appear.  At the height of the battle, Clara hurls her slipper it at the Mouse King who is knocked down.   Clara faints.   As darkness returns, Drosselmeyer covers Clara and the Nutcracker with a shawl. Minutes later, Clara reawakens to find she has become a beautiful Princess and as her Godfather lifts the shawl, she sees the Nutcracker has turned into a handsome Prince.  She is overcome with joy and hugs her Godfather as the Prince beckons her to follow him.

As Clara sleeps, Drosselmeyer appears and transforms the room into a pine forest.  It starts to snow and Clara awakens and stares in amazement at the magical sight.

Drosselmeyer appears and completes the transformation – flowers appear everywhere.

Clara arrives with the Nutcracker Prince.   She is overjoyed but fails to notice that Drosselmeyer has transformed himself into a young man.  The Flower Fairy appears and hears the Nutcracker boast about his defeat of the Mouse King.   Drosselmeyer is upset by this and once again conjures up the Mouse King.  The fight resumes and the Nutcracker faces defeat.   Clara begs her Godfather to help and with a final wave of his wand a crown of flowers appears on the Mouse King’s head!   The Nutcracker thanks Drosselmeyer for his help and they both ask Clara to dance.  Amazed to see how similar they now look, Clara chooses to dance with the Nutcracker.   Her Godfather feels rejected and turns himself back into the Magician.    Dawn breaks and as the Kingdom of the Flowers fades, Clara finds herself back in the family living room.   She rushes to uncover the Nutcracker but under the clock she finds only a basket of flowers.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Do they speak English in Moscow?

As Russia’s capital city, tourists are well accommodated in Moscow. There should be English-speaking staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and attractions in tourist hotspots, and there are also English-speaking tourist police. Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. If you get stuck and cannot communicate, it’s fine to use Google Translate.

Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. Do not take unlicensed taxis; book in advance or take public transport, which is widespread and perfectly safe. If you encounter any problems, look for the special tourist police who can help you.
