Bottom Line
I started my career as an emergency department registered nurse and understand how difficult and tiresome the work can be. Companies saying thank you to healthcare workers is honorable. I personally know how cumbersome nursing is, and just how hard our first responders work. Any discount is always welcome, and I especially welcome this 25% discount for a future vacation to say thank you to those who have provided so much to our communities. Thank you Princess Cruises!

Thank you for sharing. If my memory served, the promotion seemed to be better the last time they offered it; however, you really don't know for sure til they reveal the prices for selected sailings. Difficult decision for us as there's a great balcony price for a January Mexican cruise with the Love Boat promo...kind of a roll the dice if this new promo will be better or not.
Last time, I believe Canada was included as we are part of the N.A. market sector. This time, not. Too bad for our healthcare workers - or any other country - would be deserving of it.
I 'think' it was 50% off last time - I'll try to go back and check. We've got a cruise already booked in 2023 with $200 OBC and $1 deposit - so will have to see if it's eligible , and go from there with the 'new bookings clause.
Yep, 50% last time
As a thank you for all you do, we're taking 50% off 1 your next cruise with us! Sail to Mexico, the Caribbean, the California Coast or other famous destinations before February 2022 and save big. Just be sure to book by December 31!
Last year, Princess also had a teachers' offer, I wonder if they will have that again. Any one have a clue?
we/she is verified ... will now wait and see
Me too..going to wait and see but I'm aliitle unclear:
"This offer is based on discounts to Princess Standard fares"
What exactly constitute Standard Fares? I view prices on PCL's website and they vary all the time. Hopefully, the % discounts are NOT based on some artificially high "standard" fare.
Too bad it's for "new bookings only". Our son is a CHP officer and is booked with his family and us for their first ever cruise in 2024. I hate how they run these promotions that block out people who are already booked for a future cruise.

25% won't offset cancel and re-book? loss of perks, price increase?

Holy cow! Just checked and the cruise in 2024 is Not Available. It may already be sold out. I know cabins were going fast but didn't think it would be full. Probably not a good idea to try to cancel and rebook.

"Standard fare" is the full fare which almost no one ever pays. The cruises are always 30-40% off, so this could still be a decent savings. Hopefully they have not restricted it to a small number of cruises during off peak tines.

I received an emailed notification & maybe there'll be one for teachers.

I couldn't get verified even though I qualified last time. ☹️

Standard fare is the fare that does not include internet, beverage package and crew appreciation (tips).
Any discount for this promotion will be off the current standard fare.
I assume that for $50/day/person you could add the internet, beverage package and crew appreciation which would bring it up to the Plus fare amenities which is the standard fare plus $50/day/person.
Does this offer include retired workers also or just active?
4 hours ago, runner2013 said: Does this offer include retired workers also or just active?
Last time we had to provide proof of current credentials. So if you are retired and your certification has expired, probably not, if this one is the same. DW has retired since the last one so would like to find that out also.

Based on the conditions of the offer your assumption is correct about adding Plus or Premiere.
- This offer is based on discounts to Princess Standard fares. If you wish to book Princess Plus an additional $50 per person per day will apply. If you wish to book Princess Premiere an additional $75 per person per day will apply.

When beginning the verification of status process the following is stated: first responders must be active; medical must be licensed & a member of a medical branch of the medical profession.
