The Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, located north of central Madrid, is the city's main fútbol (soccer) stadium and the domain of the world's most successful club: Real Madrid. It was named after the legendary Madrid manager, who presided over the club for 35 years. After its opening in 1947, the stadium was completely refurbished leading up to the 1982 World Cup, which it hosted. Fútbol is an integral part of Spanish life, and the stadium's sheer size is an example of this (it can accommodate more than 80,000 fans).
In 2019, Real Madrid began remodeling Santiago Bernabéu. Among its new features are a retractable roof and a removable pitch that can be reassembled, which allows the stadium to be used for other events like concerts, conventions and other sports.
Should you want to take a tour, tickets cost 25 euros (about $27) for adults and 19 euros (about $21) for kids ages 5 to 14. You can also book a guided visit, if you're willing to fork over a little more coin. Tours typically include access to panoramic views of the stadium and the Real Madrid C.F. Museum, where you can admire the team's Champions League titles. Interactive screens are also interspersed throughout, in which you can review the club's most defining moments.
Tour hours vary by season and the team's schedule, but recent travelers said they are not worth it until construction of the new stadium is complete. Families recommend the trophy room for kids, while football fans enjoyed being in such a massive stadium, suggesting a visit for the atmosphere of a live game with cheering crowds to get the real experience. For more information, visit the stadium's website . You can find the venue off the Santiago Bernabeu metro stop.

To the east of central Madrid, Parque del Buen Retiro (El Retiro Park) can be translated as "Garden of the Pleasant Retreat," and that's what it is – a sprawling swath of lush greenery filled with formal gardens, lakes, cafes, playgrounds and more. This 300-acre park previously housed Felipe IV's palace and gardens, and wasn't open to the public until the late 19th century. In 2021, it was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site along with Paseo del Prado as "a landscape of arts and sciences."
Today, you can still rent a rowboat before heading to the Palacio de Cristal (Crystal Palace), which holds regular art exhibitions. You can also stop and smell the roses in the Rosaleda (Rose Garden), which boasts more than 4,000 roses; May and June are the best months to see them in full bloom. Plus, for those traveling with little ones, the Teatro de Titeres hosts puppet shows most weekends. To the south lies a fountain where uncannily, the angel Lucifer stands before his fall from grace. Madrileños claim that the Ángel Caído (Fallen Angel) statue is the only one in the world depicting the Prince of Darkness before his transformation.

real madrid tour
i visited the real madrid tour & museum and now realise that they are the biggest football club in the world, even though i support other teams. the view from the top of the stand over the pitch is great. the museum tour is brilliant with interactive screens that explain the history of the club. the trophys on display from the club's foundation to present day is astounding, but when you eventually reach the star attraction it is superb. the cabinet with the 11 champions league trophies is worth the ticket cost alone. this is a must see for any football/soccer fan.
If you're in Madrid, you have to go don't you? Easy to get there on the metro, just did the basic tour. Well laid out, get a grandstand view of the pitch, then museum , VIP area, pitchside, dugout, changing, press room, and more. Lots of good interactive stuff with infinite information on the club and players. Photo ops all the way. About two hours.
Here soccer lives, one can feel it. From the fine restaurants with great views over the playing field, to the guided tour visiting the trophy room and the team's wardrobes, everything is set up to deliver an experience to remember.
Been there for a classico, and what a dream come true, amazing ambiance, the organisation is perfect.
I have been many times at Bernabeu, but realized till now Inever reviewed it. Most important, it's safe, nice to bring kids and feels epic to be there at least one time. There are really no bad seats, I have been close to the field, business seats, 1st and 2bd ring, it's all good. Also recommended is a stadium tour. Prices for tickets can be expensive, but just buy early. Next to the Bernabeu are lots of bars where you can eat and drink before and after the match.
Real Madrid's home stadion didn't impress at all. Ticket's to see the stadion without a game is 25€! Incredible! I understand tje business, but this was toi much for me

Real Madrid Stadium Tour
Great, well worth the 15 Euros , visited all around the stadium , all trophies seen, changing rooms, referees room, dug outs, pitch side, vip seating ... One of the best stadiums I have ever visited in the world.
for 19 Euros we had a full tour around the stadium and got pictures taken that we could buy at the end a very enjoyable visit and worth the money paid.
Visited the stadium to watch a match, great place, amazing fans of Real Madrid. Very friendly, welcoming and hospitable. Food at half time was cheap compared to UK prices. (And edible)! Following day did the stadium tour, Real Madrid know how to look after fans! Spectacular!
Amazing tour for all football fans even the misses enjoyed herself and an absolute bargain at 19 euros per person.
We were there in November 2010. It was our first day in Madrid and the weather was cold and rainy. I think the stadium was closed at the moment so we just saw it from outside. I liked the small shopping kiosks located near the stadium. Hope one day I visit Madrid again and she the stadium from inside
Visiting the stadium is dream-like as I always wanted to attend it. Very convenient dislocation and very friendly and efficient (!) security. Any location of seats is very cosy and has a great view so you can save money and have the less pricy seats.
