This Traveler (Anemo) build focuses on shreding enemy RES through the use of the Viridescent Venerer set while also dealing a decent chunk of Anemo DMG.

Traveler (Anemo)'s Talent Priority

Prioritize on leveling up the Traveler's Elemental Skill first as you'll be using it more frequently than their Elemental Burst. Only level up their Normal Attack talent if you plan on using them on the field for Normal Attacks.

How to Use Traveler (Anemo)

Spread elements to nearby enemies.

The Anemo Traveler's Elemental Skill, Palm Vortex, can be used to not only pull enemies in but to also spread any elemental auras or applications to near by enemies. This is usefull for setting up large chains of Swirl and other Elemental Reactions.

Elemental Burst Can Deal AoE DMG

The Elemental Burst, Gust Surge, summons a tornado acts similar to Palm Vortex in spreading elemental effects but will also pick up and carry off smaller enemies. Like all Anemo Element skills the tornado can also absorb other elements and deal additional elemental damage.

Constellation 6 Can Reduce Elemental RES

Their sixth constellation gives the Traveler's Elemental Burst another skill. It can lessen their enemies' Anemo RES by 20% and if their burst also absorbed an element then it will have an additional 20% Elemental RES effect.

Combine Skills With Cryo to Cross Water

The ability of the Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst to spread elements does not work only on enemies. When a Cryo character freezes water with their Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst, the Anemo Traveler can switch in and use their own Skill or Burst to spread the ice further along the surface of the water.

Better as a Sub-DPS or Support

We don't recommend using the Anemo Traveler as your Main DPS, because other characters can deal more damage overall. Instead, use the Anemo Traveler's Elemental Skill and Burst for great crowd control!

Normal attack: foreign ironwind.

Stop hand

Aether / Lumine , also known as the Traveler and the Outlander , is the main protagonist and player character of the 2020 action role-playing fantasy video game Genshin Impact , as well as a cameo character in its accompanying webcomic series of the same name.

Both them and their sibling were traveling out of Teyvat, but they were blocked by an Unknown God and were both defeated and sealed away. They were separated from each other and had their powers sealed away. While the Traveler's sibling eventually returned to Teyvat, the Traveler was sealed until an unknown amount of years later. Afterwards, the Traveler wandered around Teyvat until they came across Paimon , who helps guide the Traveler around Teyvat in search for their missing sibling.

Aether is voiced by Shun Horie in Japanese, who also voiced, Asta in Black Clover : Jump festa 2016 special. In English, he is voiced by Zach Aguilar, who also voiced Genos in One Punch Man , Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer , Koichi Hirose in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable , Slaine Troyard in Aldnoah.Zero , Sieg in Fate/Apocrypha , Otto Suwen in Re:Zero series, Arthur Pendragon in Seven Deadly Sins , and Byleth male voice in Fire Emblem: Three Houses . He is also voiced by Lee Kyung-Tae in Korean and Luyin in Chinese.

Lumine is voiced by Aoi Yūki , who also voiced Yuuki Konno in Sword Art Online II , Diane in Seven Deadly Sins , Madoka Kaname in Puella Magi Madoka Magica , Tamaki Kotatsu in Fire Force , Tanya von Degurechaff in Tanya the Evil , and Fremy Speeddraw from Rokka no Yuusha. In English, she is voiced by Sarah Miller-Crews, who also voiced Noelle and Qiqi from the same game, Angela in Trials of Mana , and Roxanne in Pokémon franchise. She is also voiced by Lee Sae-a in Korean and Yanning in Chinese.

Appearance [ ]

The Traveler is at least an unknown amount of years alive and they both appear as young adults. Both Aether and Lumine have blond hair, have golden eyes, fair light skin, and are both twins. They both have different outfit colors from each others.

As the older twin, Aether has long braided hair and wears a black, white, gold outfit. He wears a gold earring, white scarf, gold and white cape, a gold and brown midriff shirt with a short sleeve, black gloves, black pants, a belt with a star and black boots.

As the younger twin, Lumine has short hair and wears a blue and white dress and she wears two white flowers (known as Inteyvat, the national flower of Khaenri'ah) on her head, a white scarf, a white and blue cape, a light blue skirt with shoulder length, white stockings, and white boots.

Personality [ ]

The Unknown God sends them and their twin to Teyvat when they were both imprisoned and their powers sealed. Due to this, the Traveler is keen on finding their missing sibling. However, they do not remember too much about the past after being sealed away for an unknown amount of years. After finding their twin, now affilated with the Abyss Order, in the "We Will be Reunited" Archon Quest, their main goal changes to wanting to get help from the Seven Archons of Teyvat. Occasionally, the Traveler calls Paimon "emergency food" much to her frustration.

The Traveler has befriended and became great allies to many people in Teyvat, including the Archons of each nation. While the Traveler was uninterested in Teyvat's problems, they are also shown to be a compassionate, selfless person. They are highly wary of the Abyss Order and the Fatui, being a major enemy of both organizations.

Powers and Abilities [ ]

Hailing from another world, the Traveler is capable of performing feats unheard of within Teyvat. Aside from using their sword as their primary method of combat, they are able to resonate with multiple elements even without possessing a Vision of their own.

  • Aerokinesis : With the power from Lord Barbatos, the Traveler can create a suctioning currents of air from their palm, or summon a tall tornado that carries away small-to-medium enemies caught in its path. With Anemo, they are also able to create a cutting gust of wind with the final hit of their sword.
  • Geokinesis : Acquiring the power from Rex Lapis, they can disgorge meteorites, and create a radial shockwave that pushes foes away and erupts many rocks after a set distance. Furthermore, they can deal Geo damage with the final hit of their sword slash combo.
  • Electrokinesis : Obtaining Beelzebul's power, they can release three blades of lightning at once, or coordinate lightning strikes with every attack.
  • Dendrokinesis: Obtaining Kusanali's power, they release leaves widely and can summon a Dendro bulb.
  • Hydrokinesis: Obtaining Focalors's power, they release breath in the water, shooting waters splash, and can summoned the large spiral water go through it.
  • Underwater Breathing : after obtaining Hydro power, Traveler can breath under Fontainian inland waters (and only these waters), granting Paimon, other Gods and Vision holders with this ability.
  • Elemental Sight : Even without a Vision, the Traveler is capable of detecting elemental traces left by monsters, or other sources.
  • To highlight how skillfull Traveler is combat. When Alhaitham give Traveler the can knowledge, their performant only increase by 0.073 percent. Show that how much twins accumulate their fighting experince since before they even come to Teyvat to the point there is almost nothing to gain from can knowledge. After you use can knowledge, your Travler attack permanently increase by 3.
  • Enhanced Durability : The Traveler is able to withstand attacks from strong opponents alike without taking a severe toll on their fighting abilities, such as during their battle with Tartaglia, second encounter with Signora, rematch with Raiden Ei herself, the battle against Beisht (Osial's wife) and Scaramouche as the Shouki no Kami.
  • Interdimensional Travel : The twins traveled through multiple dimensions, prior to being intercepted and had their powers sealed by the Unknown God. The Traveler intended to find the statues of the Seven in order to get back their former powers.
  • Flight : As shown by the opening cutscene, the Traveler was able to fly using their wings. It is unknown if they are machinery or can be summoned at will. Nevertheless, after their powers have been sealed, they are only currently able to glide with the glider given to them by Amber.
  • Cooking Proficiency : The Traveler can learn multiple dishes from various regions and gradually master them through repeated cooking.
  • Alchemy Proficiency : With a Crafting Bench, the Traveler can transmute various materials into more precious ones via alchemy.
  • Otherworldly Physiology : The Traveler is immune to certain cursed items that would otherwise bring harm to a normal person, such as the Festering Desire sword. Furthermore, they have the ability to purify corrupted items, such as Dvalin's tears. They immune to erosion and Irminsul memory manipulate. (However, the sibling lose their descender status and become part of Teyvat, make them vulnerable to Irminsul and can't leave Teyvat.)
  • According to the Wings of Descension. The twins witness the birth and the death of stars. Even if it mean the massive stars which have short lifespans, it's still mean the twins millions years old if the description is to be take literally.
  • However the game still share the same cosmolgy with Gun Girl Z , Honkai Impact 3rd , and Honkai: Star Rail , and thus Genshin Impact is still a de facto spin-off of Honkai series, but it is not referenced as much as in Star Rail like Honkai Impact.
  • From the beta test, it's implied that their world was destroyed by the Honkai, the same phenomena from Gun Girl Z and Honkai Impact 3rd . (Might no longer be canon.)
  • Despite sharing abilities, the twins have different fighting styles. For instance, when using their Geo-element Burst Wake of Earth , Aether punches the ground while Lumine stomps instead.
  • Lumine has a stronger charged attack while Aether runs faster.
  • The Traveler and their sibling is both separated in a different world, which is similar to Akame and Kurome from Akame ga kill who also has a lost sibling.
  • Their game is similar to the open world adventure video game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
  • The Traveler's favorite music is rock music.
  • In most official media, Aether is depicted as the Traveler, with Lumine as the Princess of Abyss Order.
  • As of Version 4.4, Aether is still at the top of Genshin Impact character list when sorted alphabetically.
  • The Traveler was depicted by Rozaliya Olenyeva during the Honkai Impact 3rd x Genshin Impact collaboration.
  • Both siblings always call each other Aether (male) and Lumine (female), despite how the player named the Traveler at the beginning of the game.
  • Both the siblings have no birthday unless assigned by the player.

The best Genshin Impact Traveler build

Learn how to put together the best possible Traveler builds for every element!

Want to learn how to create the best build for the Traveler in Genshin Impact? The Traveler is your starting character in Genshin Impact , and they're a little different from the other playable characters in the game. For one thing, you get to customise them a bit to suit your preferences, at least in as much as choosing their gender and nickname can be considered customisation. Secondly, and more importantly from a character build perspective, their elemental vision is unaligned and can adapt during gameplay.

Despite these unique features, the Traveler has a lot in common with the rest of your character roster in that you can still customise their build with weapons, artifacts, ascensions, talents, constellations, and party composition. Read on below to learn all the basics you need to know about the Traveler in Genshin Impact.

Pages in this guide:

  • Genshin Impact Traveler: General build advice
  • The best Anemo Traveler build in Genshin Impact
  • The best Geo Traveler build in Genshin Impact
  • The best Electro Traveler build in Genshin Impact
  • The best Dendro Traveler build in Genshin Impact

What is the Traveler's best role in Genshin Impact?

Because of the Traveler's unique power to switch their element, their best build and party role differ depending on the element they currently wield. In general, though, the Traveler isn't one of the strongest characters in the game, and usually finds their place as a sub-DPS and/or elemental support character in a party. However, thanks to their elemental switching, they do make for one of the best exploration and puzzle-solving characters in the game.

Elsewhere, we've put together detailed build guides for the Traveler in relation to each of their individual elements: Anemo , Geo , Electro , and Dendro . You can also naviagate through the pages in this article to view each build guide in order.

Should I play as the male or female Traveler?

At the start of the game you're offered a choice between two Traveler characters: the male Traveler (default name: Aether) and the female Traveler (default name: Lumine). The differences between them are mainly cosmetic. However, thanks to subtle differences in their animations, the Traveler's gender does have one minor impact on gameplay: Aether traverses slightly faster, while Lumine attacks slightly faster.

But those differences are extremely small, so unless you're out to ruthlessly min/max, it's best to just pick whichever you prefer the look of. Bear in mind that after making your selection you can't switch to the other Traveler without taking the rather drastic step of starting a fresh save on a different server. So make your selection on the basis of the gender you'd like the game to recognise you as, or just whichever character's design you like better!

General build advice for The Traveler

The traveler's unaligned talents.

When their element is unaligned (as happens at the very beginning of the game and briefly during occasional story beats), the Traveler is unable to perform elemental attacks or benefit from passive talents. However, they can still perform normal attacks with their sword, as follows:

  • Past Memories (Normal Attack):
  • Normal Attack: The Traveler performs up to 5 rapid strikes.
  • Charged Attack: The Traveler consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.
  • Plunging Attack: The Traveler plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Outside of the aforementioned story moments, you can't revert to an unaligned Traveler through normal gameplay, and therefore Past Memories can't be levelled up. When the Traveler becomes unaligned for story reasons, Past Memories' level seems to mirror that of Foreign Ironwind (the normal attack for the Anemo Traveler) for the purposes of determing their attack strength.

The Traveler's Ascension Materials

To fully ascend the Traveler, you need the following materials. Note that unlike their talents and constellations, the Traveler's ascensions carry over between their different elemental forms, so you only need to collect these materials once overall:

Brilliant Diamond pieces are obtained as Adventure Rank rewards, and they're drip-fed to you in just the right amounts to ascend the Traveler, since they have no other use in the game other than as the Traveler's ascension materials. Windwheel Asters are native to Mondstadt and easily farmed from the surrounding countryside, while masks are obtained by defeating Hilichurl enemies (found throughout Teyvat) at various difficulties.

How to switch the Traveler's element in Genshin Impact

You can switch the Traveler's element at any time by having them (as the active character) interact with a Statue of the Seven, and choosing the "Resonate with [Element]" interaction from the list of options. Their new elemental alignment will then persist until the next time you interact with a Statue of the Seven in another nation to change their active element.

Interact with Statues of the Seven in the following map regions to gain the corresponding element:

  • Mondstadt: Anemo
  • Inazuma: Electro

Genshin Impact: Best Builds For Traveler

We take a look at the best builds for Traveler, including options specific to different elemental choices.

When you first start up Genshin Impact , you choose between playing as either Aether or Lumine, who soon become known as the Traveler. Despite being free and the very first character you receive, both of the twins are classified as five-star sword users. Additionally, they have the ability to swap between what element they are using simply by visiting the different statues of the seven scattered around Teyvat.

As of version 2.0, you can choose between the anemo, geo, or electro element. Each element will slightly alter the way you play, as they give the Traveler a different skill and burst.

Best Weapons For Traveler

While Aether and Lumine may be able to change their element, the recommended weapons for them stay pretty much the same. This can easily change at any time, though, especially since there will be Inazuma swords that will likely buff electro abilities coming out in the future. For now, the sword belows are some of the best that the Traveler can use:

As of right now, two of the best weapons for Aether and Lumine are four-stars, and many players will already have the Festering Desire from the Dragonspine launch event.

Best Artifacts For Traveler

Getting the very best artifact for each Traveler variant is pretty easy as they work well with the five-star elemental artifacts that can be farmed from domains for free . Below are the three artifact sets you will want to get your hands on for your Traveler build:

In addition, those who use the Geo Traveler may opt for the 15% geo buff from the two-piece Archaic Petra, mixed with the Gladiators Finale's 2-piece effect above.

Keep in mind the geo element plays more of a support role. The Anemo and Electro abilities of the Traveler can be easily used to make a strong DPS character using the swords and proper artifact set mentioned above.

Geo Traveler Guide and Best Builds

Geo Traveler Guide and Best Builds for Genshin Impact

The Traveler is the character you start with, being a 5-Star Sword character with no set Element. Instead, you choose the element you want to use. While the Traveler tends to be very simple in design, Geo is a peculiar elements to use, as Geo is generally viewed as one of the weaker elements to use. But despite this, the Geo Traveler can excel pretty well as a support unit, providing good damage buffs to your team and can act as a Battery for other characters, especially other Geo Characters like Navia and Noelle .

Geo Traveler Introduction

Geo Traveler is a 5-star Geo Sword Character DPS and Support in Genshin Impact who mainly focuses on providing Geo Constructs, CRIT Rate buffs and the occasional Crystallize shield. Their Burst and Skill also have high damage multipliers, which can enable them to be a DPS. This guide will focus on Geo Traveler's best weapons, builds, artifacts, teambuilding and more!

Strengths and Weaknesses

Traveler geo support build.

The Geo Traveler's Support build focuses more around staying off-field, swapping in to cast your Elemental Skill and to keep your Elemental Burst running at all times. The walls created by your Burst last 15s and has a 15s cooldown, which means you can keep 100% uptime as long as you generate the 60 energy required to cast the Burst. Furthermore, the 6th Constellation extends the duration by another 5 seconds, making the walls last longer than the cooldown. So for this build, we are building Energy Recharge to maintain this uptime. With the addition of Navia , Geo Traveler has seen some renewed use as a Support, as Navia greatly benefits from the CRIT Rate buff on the Burst with the first Constellation, Invincible Stonewall , and the Energy that the Traveler can provide.

Traveler Geo Dps Build

As mentioned at the start, The Geo Traveler's Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst have pretty good scaling, which enables them to be a dps. The Skill has 6s CD and deals damage a second time with the 2nd Constellation Rockcore Meltdown , where the Meteorite created explodes when it is destroyed (this also happens when the timer runs out).

Between the two builds, the Traveler tends to work best in the role of a Support. This is because of the way the Traveler works when it comes to leveling talents, as every talent needs to be leveled for each of the Traveler's elements. This makes it very expensive to try and use the Traveler offensively for multiple Elements, especially because Geo is not the strongest element to deal damage with. However, when you use the Traveler to support, leveling your talents comes secondary. This means you can still use them while building your team, instead of depending on the talents to deal damage. You still want to level them as it is more damage, but less important.

You will not need to build a lot of Energy Recharge for either of the builds, although it is crucial to keep up 100% uptime for the support build. The reason you don't need to build that much is due to the 4th Constellation, Reaction Force which can return up to 25 Energy per cast. This means your Burst has an effective cost of 35 instead of 60, on top of the Skill having a short cooldown. In the DPS setup, you can afford to wait for the Travelers energy particles, however as Support you will need about 180-200% Energy Recharge to maintain uptime.

Outside this, the Support build is very flexible and can fit into most teams that have open Flex Slots, hence why it is mainly recommended to build the Geo Traveler as a Support character instead of DPS. Focus on getting your Energy Recharge into a comfortable range, and then slowly get artifacts that increase your damage while maintaining your Energy Recharge.

Combos and How to Play Geo Traveler

The Geo Traveler is very simple to play, as with most of their Elements. Your Starfell Sword Skill has 6s cooldown, so you want to cast that as much as possible. Meanwhile Wake of Earth has a 15s CD, meaning that when you play with the Geo Traveler, you end up quickswapping characters regularly. Keeping up your Burst and getting as many Meteorites out is important. As a Support, this is what makes the Geo Traveler great.

The hardest part of using the Geo Traveller correctly is placing your Skill, as it will push displacable targets away from it. This means that you generally don't want to summon it infront of your target, as it will then make it harder for yourself to hit the target. Try to aim it behind or on the side of your enemy. When holding the Skill, you get a small circular aim on the ground that you can move around before releasing. The circle motion will ripple, making it look like its formed by 3 circles. Try aim the skill so that the target is hit between the area created between the 2 outer circles. Outside of this, you can use the Skill to block missiles aswell as use it to climb with.

Geo Traveler's Best Team Comps

Geo Traveler's main team compositions will typically see them supporting another Main DPS. Outside this, you typically see the Geo Traveler together with Zhongli , as Zhongli's Dominus Lapidis Pillars resonates with the Traveler's Meteorite construct.

Navia/Geo Traveller

This team comp revolves around Navia dealing damage, with the Geo Traveler acting as a Battery for her. The Traveler can easily eliminate most of the Energy Recharge requirements for Navia. Potentially all of it depending on Navia's Constellations or choice of weapon. Other than that, it is the increased CRIT Rate from your Burst which allows the Geo Traveler to be a very good pick for this.

Geo Traveler's Mono Geo Quickswap Team

This Mono-Geo team is a very Burst heavy team comp. You want to quickswap between all characters, using their Skills and Burst off cooldown. Make sure that they all stand within the area of Wake of Earth to benefit of the 10% increased CRIT Rate when cycling through characters. With Zhongli's shield having a 100% uptime, a healer is not needed, however it does mean you may want to have food available just in case.

Noelle/Geo Traveler

Another support team, however here the last 2 slots are very flexible. The job of the Geo Traveler here is to enable Noelle to use her Burst as much as possible. Noelle used to be considered a weak character, however she can really output good numbers with the right team. Typically you want to support Noelle with Gorou and/or Yun Jin , however characters like Xingqiu , Fischl and Rosaria can also work. In the slots above, you can choose any supports within the 2 listings.

Xiao Infinite Spin Team

This team is a bit of a funny one. It utilizes the fact, that you can't stand on top of the wall created by Wake of Earth together with Xiao 's Bane of All Evil , enabling him to jump higher to trigger Plunge Attacks. You want to drag your target up against one the walls, then jump above the wall and trigger Plunge attack on Xiao. This Plunge attack won't be able to land as you are unable to stand on top of the wall. Additionally, there is no space between the target and the wall, resulting in you spinning mid air. The game tries to push you along the wall to make you land at some point though.

Geo Traveler's Ascensions, Talents and Constellations

Geo traveler's ascension passives and materials.

Geo Traveler requires a range of materials to ascend to the 6th ascension. Starting from the second ascension they gain additional ATK % as bonus stat giving a total of 24% increased ATK at the final ascension. The total cost to upgrade all ascensions is:

Geo Traveler's Talents

Listed below is each talent and a brief explanation of how they work.

Due to how the Traveler works, the cost of upgrading your talents is different from all other characters. All 3 Talent materials are in use in different amounts, as each upgrade will require a different kind. To level a single talent to 10 costs:

Geo Traveler's Constellations

Since you can get all of these Constellations by grinding, getting all 6 is preferable You gain them through out the Liyue Archon quest, one at the end of Act II and III and you buy the other 4 from Xingxi in her Souvenir Shop in Liyue.

Screen Rant

Genshin impact 4.6's new character already has one annoying problem.

While Arlecchino has not yet been officially confirmed as a playable character in Genshin Impact 4.6, leaks point toward her imminent release.

  • Leaks suggest Genshin Impact 4.6 will introduce Arlecchino with a unique weapon and gameplay kit.
  • Arlecchino's Ascension materials may be located in a new rumored area, which may require extensive farming.
  • Historical precedent shows that new character releases often tie Ascension materials to new areas in the game.

The new rumored character for Genshin Impact 4.6, Arlecchino, already has one major problem ahead of her speculated release as a playable unit. One of the eleven Fatui Harbingers, the Knave is one of the most pleasing members of the enemy faction, much like Childe. The head of the House of the Hearth already made her debut as an NPC during the Fontaine storyline, though she has been anticipated as a playable character, despite the lack of a formal confirmation from developer HoYoverse. There have, however, been leaks about Arlecchino, hinting at details about her and her gameplay.

The most recent leaks highlight a unique weapon for Arlecchino in Genshin Impact 4.6 that may not fully operate when equipped by another character. Leaks about the Fatui Harbinger date back before the release of Fontaine in Version 4.0, but have become more consistent since the Nation of Hydro’s release back in August 2023. Now, as updates go by and the game moves toward the release of Natlan later this year, rumors hint at Arlecchino’s imminent release, which may occur sooner than later – but it is not immune to problems which may already be in play.

What Region Is After Natlan In Genshin Impact?

Genshin impact 4.6 may add arlecchino & a new area.

So far, there have been many leaks pointing at Arlecchino’s release in Version 4.6. Aside from the aforementioned details about her alleged weapon, there have also been details about her gameplay kit, obtained by the leaker known as Uncle K, and shared by a user on Reddit . If the leaks are correct, Arlecchino will release in Version 4.6 . Additionally, a whole new area in Genshin Impact 4.6 has been leaked, as highlighted in another post on Reddit . It seems like the dead zone west of Chenyu Vale and south of the Morte region in Fontaine will be filled in.

It is expected that the new zone will be part of the region of Fontaine rather than Liyue or even Sumeru, which is located to the south.

Arlecchino’s Materials May Be In Genshin Impact 4.6’s New Area

The main issue with the overlapping release of the character and the new area is that it is very likely that Arlecchino’s Ascension materials and perhaps even some of her Talent materials will be part of the new zone itself. This means that players will have to farm some of the materials for her from scratch , without anything in their inventories to get them started.

Map extensions to Teyvat tend to come accompanied by a new set of enemies, occasionally bosses, and commonly Local Specialties. If the leaks are true, to Ascend Arlecchino in Genshin Impact 4.6, players will likely have to do a lot of farming.

Players are expected to put in a lot of effort gathering these materials. If new enemies are introduced, there is a chance that the materials that they drop will be necessary for Arlecchino’s Ascension process . This means that players will have to run routes and eliminate all the enemies they can to see if they drop the required materials and repeat this process over days if they do not gather enough.

Similarly, this may also happen with Local Specialties. Every Genshin Impact character needs a certain Local Specialty to Ascend. If Arlecchino arrives in Version 4.6 along with the new area, players will likely have to hunt down the nodes of an entirely new Local Specialty. The problem with Local Specialties is that these materials only respawn every 48 real-life hours , meaning players have to wait two full days before running a farming route again.

Players can optimize their farming if they visit another player’s world and gather resources there, but they should follow the common courtesy rules for Genshin Impact ’s co-op mode .

If the rumored area in Version 4.6 also includes a new world boss, which is very possible, then it is also likely that the materials this boss drops will serve for Arlecchino’s Ascension. Essentially, if the Version 4.6 leaks and the speculation about what is included in the rumored new area are true, adequately pre-farming will be impossible .

The only materials players will be able to pre-farm for Arlecchino are the Agnidus Agate elemental stones, since the character is rumored to use Pyro, and Mora. This, in turn, means that players who obtain Arlecchino will spend the first few days of Genshin Impact 4.6 farming vigorously within the alleged new zone.

Rumored Genshin Impact 4.6 Farming Problem Is Not Exactly New

While this may be an inconvenience for players who enjoy pre-farming, the problem involving Arlecchino’s leaked release along with the rumored new area in Teyvat is not something new. In fact, it is very common for new characters that are released in updates that introduce entirely new areas to experience something similar.

Very recently, in fact, Xianyun was released as a playable character in Version 4.4 . This was the same patch that added Chenyu Vale to the northern portion of Liyue. With this, most of Xianyun’s Ascension materials in Genshin Impact (not all) were tied to the new area and its resources, from the Clearwater Jade Local Specialty to the Cloudseam Scale world boss material.

All Clearwater Jade Locations In Genshin Impact

A new set of enemies, called Xuanwen Beasts, were also introduced with Version 4.4’s Chenyu Vale, but their Feathery Fin, Lunar Fin, and Chasmlight Fin materials are not required to Ascend Xianyun. They are, however, necessary to Ascend Xianyun’s signature 5-star weapon, Crane’s Echoing Call.

If something similar happens with Arlecchino’s rumored release and the alleged new area, any new enemy types added alongside the zone may not drop materials for the character herself, but for her signature 5-star weapon. This would also allow players to pre-farm some enemy materials , making the release of Arlecchino much less problematic.

Of course, for now, everything is mere speculation and should be treated as such. Arlecchino’s release as a playable character has yet to be confirmed – possibly at some point in mid-March – and players will only likely get an official update on the contents of the next patch with the Version 4.6 livestream, which should occur in mid-April if there are no delays. Leaked information may also be incorrect or subject to change ahead of its in Genshin Impact , so it is best not to create expectations before official confirmation by HoYoverse.

Genshin Impact: The Best Weapons For Traveler

The Genshin Impact Traveler, also known as MC or Main Character, has various best weapons thanks to its ability to switch Elements.

One of the most known facts in Genshin Impact ever since it started is that the Traveler’s performance is always underwhelming. To the fanbase's surprise, Sumeru introduced an excellent Dendro MC that can cover the field with their Lea Lotus Lamp, spreading Dendro all over the battlefield in Genshin Impact . Of course, the other Elemental Travelers are not weak, it’s just there are better characters out there that can do their jobs, especially if players put in the time to build these characters. So to perform better, the Traveler should be built properly

What makes the real difference in a character build is what weapon they’re carrying. Since there are Anemo, Geo, Electro, and Dendro Travelers out there, it’s important to know which are the best weapons for each of them.

RELATED: Genshin Impact: The Best Weapons For Xiangling

Best Weapons For Anemo Traveler In Genshin Impact

Anemo Traveler doesn’t need offensive weapons in Genshin Impact . People can either use Anemo MC with the typical ATK/Anemo/Crit, or Energy Recharge and Elemental Mastery. So any weapon that grants one of these stats is most probably a good fit. Other than the listed weapons, players can also opt for swords like Freedom-Sworn, Primordial Jade Cutter, Mistsplitter Reforged, and Skyward Blade.

  • Primary Stat: 510 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 165 Elemental DMG
  • R5 Effect: Dealing Elemental DMG increases all DMG by 12% for 6s. Max 2 stacks. Can only occur once every 1s.

Iron Sting’s 165 Elemental Mastery immediately puts the Anemo Traveler in a better position in their party since most Swirls now deal more DMG . There’s nothing better than a Support that can still inflict some decent DMG.

Favonius Sword

  • Primary Stat: 454 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 61.3% Energy Recharge
  • R5 Effect: CRIT hits have a 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 6s.

As an Anemo character, the Anemo Traveler has access to shredding enemies’ resistance to the Element they Swirl with and such Supportive ability is valuable in Genshin Impact . Favonius Sword adds another Supportive ability to the Anemo Traveler by giving them the ability to regenerate their team’s Energy. Other than that, having an extra 61% Energy Recharge on the Anemo Traveler makes their Elemental Burst easier to refill and cast.

Best Weapons For Geo Traveler In Genshin Impact

It may be surprising to some players, but the Geo Traveler can really wreck some high DMG. So it’s best to buff their offensive stats. Apart from the two included, Crit and ER weapons like Primordial Jade Cutter, Summit Shaper, Skyward Blade, and The Black Sword are all great options.

Mistsplitter Reforged

  • Primary Stat: 674 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 44.1% CRIT DMG
  • Effect: Gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for all elements and receive the might of the Mistsplitter's Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, Mistsplitter's Emblem provides a 8/16/28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character's Elemental Type. The character will obtain 1 stack of Mistsplitter's Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack's duration is calculated independently.

RELATED: Genshin Impact: How To Beat Aeonblight Drake (& Where To Find It)

Mistsplitter Reforged is a great sword for any character that wants to deal DMG during combat and Geo Traveler is just the unit for that purpose . When wielding Mistsplitter Reforged players need to make sure the Geo Traveler Energy is not full by continuously casting their Burst. It’s really this easy to maintain Mistsplitter Reforged’s stacks.

Festering Desire

  • Secondary Stat: 45.9% Energy Recharge
  • Effect: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 32% and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 12%.

For a F2P choice, Festering Desire is a decent weapon that enhances the Geo Traveler’s Elemental Skill. Since most of the Geo Traveler DMG comes from their Skill, it’s a great addition to their kit.

Best Weapons For Electro Traveler In Genshin Impact

Since the Electro Traveler greatly depends on their Energy Recharge to operate as a battery in Genshin Impact , it’s crucial to maximize this stat.

Skyward Blade

  • Primary Stat: 608 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 55.1% Energy Recharge
  • Effect: CRIT Rate increased by 4%. Gains Skypiercing Might upon using an Elemental Burst: Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and Normal and Charged hits deal additional DMG equal to 20% of ATK. Skypiercing Might lasts for 12s.

RELATED: Genshin Impact: The Best Builds For Albedo

Electro Travelers can effectively regenerate their team’s energy when they cast their Elemental Burst. Skyward Blade can match this strategy because the sword increases their Energy Recharge.

Sacrificial Sword

  • Effect: After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 80% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 16s.

For a full battery build, the best sword for the Electro Traveler is either Favonius or the Sacrificial Sword since both add a whopping 61% Energy Recharge.

Best Weapons For Dendro Traveler In Genshin Impact

Just like the Anemo one, Dendro Traveler mostly depends on their Elemental Mastery stat alongside a bit of Energy Recharge.

Freedom-Sworn

  • Secondary Stat: 198 Elemental Mastery
  • Effect: Increases DMG by 10%. When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" for 12s. "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" increases Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 16% and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20s. Of the many effects of the "Millennial Movement," buffs of the same type will not stack.

RELATED: Genshin Impact: Best Team Compositions For Beidou

Freedom-Sworn grants the Dendro Traveler some high amount of Elemental Mastery. This is super effective for the Dendro Traveler's kit since it gives them the ability to deal more DMG with their Dendro Elemental Reactions in Genshin Impact . With that increased DMG, Freedom-Sworn also adds more Supportive abilities to the Dendro Traveler by making them able to buff their team’s DMG and ATK%. For non-spending players, then Sacrificial Sword is also great for a Sub-DPS Dendro MC.

Sapwood Blade

  • Primary Stat: 565 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 30.6% Energy Recharge
  • Effect: After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, a Leaf of Consciousness will be created around the character for a maximum of 10s. When picked up, the Leaf will grant the character 120 Elemental Mastery for 12s. Only 1 Leaf can be generated this way every 20s. This effect can still be triggered if the character is not on the field. The Leaf of Consciousness' effect cannot stack.

Sapwood Blade is one of Sumeru’s forgeable weapons in Genshin Impact . The F2P sword doesn’t really benefit the Dendro Traveler that much stat-wise, but it gives them the ability to enhance their main DPS Elemental Mastery by 120. This effect can be crucial when the Dendro Traveler is teaming with characters that count on their EM to inflict DMG, such as Tighnari in Genshin Impact . For other support options, people can also use Favonius Sword to enhance the team's energy regeneration.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.

Genshin Impact: How to Get More Lakelight Lily Flowers

G athering Lakelight Lily flowers in Genshin Impact is a very important task, especially if you are intent on leveling and ascending Furina, the 5-star Hydro Archon. Lakelight Lilies are a Local Speciality item introduced with Version 4.2 and could not be obtained prior to the release of that specific update – thus making the process of farming materials for Furina’s Ascension in Genshin Impact a little bit more complicated, as you need to rush after these items in order to max the character’s level. Lakelight Lily is a blue-colored flower with a big bubbly bulb at the center and can easily be spotted when exploring.

These Local Specialty items only spawn in very specific areas of Fontaine (so far), so you will need to head to a specific island rather than run or swim across the region randomly in search of them. It is possible that more of these will be added as the game progresses through regular updates and the region of Fontaine expands. These Lakelight Lily flowers are directly related to Version 4.2’s addition in Genshin Impact , which means they are not found near the Court of Fontaine, Poisson, or Beryl. Instead, you must dedicate your farming efforts to the northeast region.

Related: Genshin Impact: Furina Character Builds (Weapons, Artifacts, Team Comps)

Best Lakelight Lily Farming Route In Genshin Impact (Spawn Points)

The only locations that feature Lakelight Lily are northeast of the Fountain of Lucine and the Opera Epiclese. While it is spread across several areas of the Erinnyes Forest map, introduced with the release of Genshin Impact 4.2 the two main spawning points for Lakelight Lily are at the Weeping Willow of the Lake and Loch Urania .

If you need a consistent amount to gather quickly, these are the best locations to visit. As seen in the official interactive map on HoYoLAB , the two main clusters form around these inland water bodies. You can check the image below for a more accurate understanding of the spawn points:

There are other smaller clusters of Lakelight Lily in the area. The Local Speciality normally forms around water bodies . As such, any small lakes or riversides in the area are prone to having at least a few Lakelight Lily flowers nearby. The exceptions are the northeasternmost lake, as well as the closest water body to the northeast of the Fountain of Lucine in Genshin Impact .

Curiously, these two small lakes do not feature any Lakelight Lilies to farm. As registered by Game8 , there are a total of 77 Lakelight Lily flowers that can be found – seven of which are only unlocked after completing the Wild Fairy of Erinnyes questline.

The respawn time for Lakelight Lily is 48 hours in real time. Fast-forwarding the time in-game by 48 hours will not make the clusters available for farming.

There are, essentially, two ways of grabbing more Lakelight Lily beyond the 77 clusters that are available for farming in the Erinnyes Forest portion of the Fontaine map. The first one allows players to grab an additional 15 Lakelight Lily . In order to grab the extra count of Local Specialties used in Furina’s Ascension, you will first need to complete the Wild Fairy of Erinnyes quest in Genshin Impact . Once this is completed, you will unlock a vendor by the name of Pahsiv. They are a Melusine and can be found in the Loch Urania area of Erinnyes Forest. There, you can exchange 2 Tidalga for 1 Lakelight Lily.

For reference, Tidalga is a material that you can obtain underwater in Genshin Impact . It resembles a blue jellyfish, with a small pink-colored nub between its tentacles.

Up to a total of 15 Lakelight Lily can be obtained through this method, which means you will need to have at least 30 Tidalga to buy the entire stock from Pahsiv. Her inventory, unfortunately, does not refresh, meaning 15 is the limit of Lakelight Lily you can purchase from her at any given moment. The second alternative method of increasing your gains when farming Lakelight Lily is to visit other players’ worlds in Genshin Impact . If they have not collected the items there, then you may be able to find them in the same locations they would normally be on your own map.

Of course, there is a matter of cordiality involved when farming resources from other players' worlds. In case you have a friend who has unlocked Fontaine and is not planning on Ascending or even obtaining Furina, for instance, you should schedule a farming period in their world. Gathering these resources will not make a difference to their gameplay experience, so it is the most recommended way of grabbing these. Alternatively, you may join a co-op session in Genshin Impact and, in the game’s chat function, ask if you are allowed to farm Lakelight Lily or if they plan on doing so. If granted permission, you can essentially double your profits .

In case you are struggling to locate all 77 spawn points of Lakelight Lily, you can equip Lyney. The premium 5-star character has a Talent that makes Local Specialties in Fontaine appear on the mini-map, which makes it much easier to farm.

How To Use Lakelight Lily In Genshin Impact

Lakelight Lily’s primary usage is for the Ascension of certain characters from Fontaine. So far, only Furina utilizes the Local Specialty, but there is a chance that upcoming heroes will utilize it as well. It is common for a Local Speciality to be part of one or two characters’ Ascensions. The need for an abundance of Lakelight Lily flowers stems from the sheer amount required during the Ascension process. To get Furina to level 90 in Genshin Impact – or at least through her level 80 Ascension threshold – you will need a total of 168 Lakelight Lily .

Because of the limited 48-hour respawn time, obtaining all these items in a single run or day can be impossible. Getting Furina may take a few days, mainly if you are not visiting other players’ worlds. If you have the chance of farming more through co-op, then you can guarantee you will get all the necessary items to fully Ascend her in a single day. Lakelight Lily is easy to farm in Genshin Impact , though you may need to go off your regular route if you want to quickly increase your farming potential.

Changed my year (in only three months)

I know this is gonna sound insane, but I’ve been playing Genshin for 3-4 months now, and it’s changed my life. For starters, I started watching anime again, somehow bringing a certain joyous nostalgic feeling that I’ve longed for. The graphics are also fantastic, I wish I could live every cut seen again. It’s like watching an action anime! I’ve never spent a single dollar on it and I still feel like I’m on equal ground with all the other players. Watching Zhongli and Mona mains struggle to complete challenges whilst I’m still rocking the traveler, moving along just as easy beside them. The characters feel real, like they’re actually judging me from behind a screen, it gives an exciting deep feeling everyone yearns for. Lastly, it’s been a great experience with other people. This ought to make you pay for my therapy, but sometimes I feel proud puffing out “my chest at school and saying that though people could probably beat me at Halo and Fortnite, I could take them on in Genshin any way day and tear them in half. It’s also been a bonding experience with my best friends, knowing that even if I’m struggling to keep an A in my classes, I can go home, hop on my PC, and have a fantastic afternoon shouting and crying with my friends. Yes, me and the rest of the community is addicted. But sometimes you have to grab your device, murmur “screw it.” And defeat one more boss.

best game in the universe! <3

this game is the best game I’ve ever downloaded! it’s a great open word game, the plot is amazing and all the characters very well designed and have great backgrounds. i love all the fun things you can experience in this game like domains, bosses, and the wishing system (getting characters). and the system of daily commissions, and you’re reputation in different places to get wind gliders is super fun! also there’s gods that rule over the seven nations of Teyvet, and all the gods will eventually become playable characters, like Venti (anemo archon), Zhongli (geo archon), and Baal that will be coming soon (electro archon). also every nation has something special like Mondstat is the city of freedom, Liyue is the city of contracts, and Inazuma is the city of eternity and etc. some things are a little too complicated for me, for example building characters with artifacts, also artifacts help a lot with getting though with enemy’s faster (better dmg, def, hp.), but I just try my best. something I don’t understand is and I don’t like is that you can’t craft and unlock teleport waypoints and talk to people while in co-op mode. and I also love the new map, but I’m not so good at puzzles lol. also visions and all the elements, pyro, hydro, anemo, electro, dendro, cryo, geo. something I wanted added to the game is being able to pet animals, although it seems kinda silly I still think it’s cute. pls download this game its the best, enjoyy! 🤍
