Dynamic and uplifting show in a rather small venue in Riga.
Iyeoka was utmost proactive in her approach towards the audience, it was very much welcomed at the end of the working day/week.

Boston-based Nigerian-American recording artist, award winning poet, and TED fellow Iyeoka is at the forefront of creating a new artistic genre that gracefully interweaves spoken word poetry with pop, R&B, dance, hiphop and electronic soul. She is a powerful songstress whose vocal talents invoke the spirit of soul-shakers Nina Simone, Sade, Lauryn Hill and Amy Winehouse. Her warm spirit, stirring lyrics and passionate performances leave audiences not only entertained but also transformed with empowerment. Iyeoka’s song, “The Yellow Brick Road Song” is the theme song for the USA network TV show Fairly Legal and it has also been heard in the HBO series How To Make It In America .
Iyeoka has completed recording her second album, Gold , for US-based label Underground Sun. The new 13-song collection of work was released worldwide on July 1, 2016. The album was recorded in Venice, California. Key songs include the inspirational “Thunder,” “Hurricane,” and “Akomen of Udomi,” a song dedicated to the captured girls in Nigeria. Similar to the last full length effort by the writing & producing team Iyeoka and producer/songwriter David Franz, the album captures an eclectic mix of afrobeat, pop, jazz, dance and rock. “Sinnerman” is an ode and nod to the great Nina Simone who also covers the song. “Sweet Song” features an award winning poem.
Although a resident of Boston MA, Iyeoka spends many months in Hawaii where the core of her band Rock By Funk Tribe call their home base. It was in Hawaii where the hypnotic and melodic songs “Who Would Follow” and “Gold” were created and came to life. The album also includes the single “Every Second Every Hour,” which was released in May 2015. A few of Iyeoka’s many accolades include recipient of 2010 TED Global Fellow and winner of 2009 Individual World Poetry Slam Champion. 2016 brought her back to TED to host a conference last June. Her family started and runs the Amenawon Foundation to help less fortunate people in her home country of Nigeria. This is a repeating theme in many of her poems and songs.
Iyeoka means “I want to be respected” in her native Esan language and the artist is the true embodiment of her name. Daughter of Nigerian-born parents who both hold Doctorate degrees from Boston University, Iyeoka was a practicing pharmacist before launching her career as a poet, singer, activist and educator. By channeling her culture and ancestral influences, she delivers an authentic and inspiring message of healing through her expression in the arts. Iyeoka has toured in support of artists such as Femi Kuti, Zap Mama and Soul Live, as well as played several musical festivals throughout 2014 and 2015 including Cully Jazz Festival, Colours Festival, Afro Pfingsten, and Helsinki Festival to name a few. The buzz surrounding her poetry has also garnered her national attention through performances at the TBS Trumpet Awards, the Sullivan Honors Awards at the Kennedy Center and Russell Simmon’s Def Poetry Jam on HBO.

Since breaking out on TikTok in 2020, Noah Kahan has become one of the most sought-after musicians. Now, the "Stick Season" singer is heading out on his first stadium and arena tour. The performances kick off in North America in March, and we've got all of the details on the "We'll All Be Here Forever Tour," including how to get Noah Kahan tickets.
While Kahan has been active in the indie pop community since 2017, the 27-year-old musician found nationwide notoriety by sharing snippets of "Stick Season" on TikTok during the pandemic. He leaned into his folk interests and released the "Stick Season" single in July 2022, before dropping the whole album a few months later. Since then, he has charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and received a Grammy nod for Best New Artist.
Whether you've been a longtime fan or you've recently discovered Kahan's music, you're probably one of the many people seeking tickets to Noah Kahan's 2024 tour. Here's our breakdown of the "We'll All Be Here Forever Tour" schedule, purchasing details, and original and resale prices. You can also look through StubHub and Vivid Seats on your own if you're interested.

2024 Valspar Championship: Live stream, watch online, TV schedule, channel, tee times, golf coverage, radio
The pga tour visits the copperhead course for the last event of the florida swing.
Major championship season may be lurking, but before players can set their sights on the Masters, they must first traverse the final stop of the Florida swing. The 2024 Valspar Championship welcomes a strong field to the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook, where a difficult finishing stretch coined "The Snake Pit" awaits.
Last week's runners-up at the Players Championship, Brian Harman and Xander Schauffele, are among the cast of players that will make the trip from Ponte Vedra to the Tampa area. The two Americans are joined in the field by a number of their U.S. Ryder Cup teammates, including Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth and Sam Burns.
Both Spieth and Burns have proved victorious at the Valspar Championship in the past, with Burns claiming back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022. It has been just about a year since Burns has entered the winner's circle and nearly two for both Spieth and Thomas.
They hope to end their skid, with Cameron Young and Tony Finau rounding out the American fold. Min Woo Lee and Sungjae Im headline the international contingent and look to find the winner's circle before the tour transitions to Texas for the next couple weeks.

Jeff Lynne’s ELO Announce Final Tour: ‘Over and Out’

Jeff Lynne’s ELO have announced their final tour, dubbed “The Over and Out Tour.” The 27-date excursion, produced by Live Nation, will kick off in Palm Desert, CA on August 24 and travel across North America before concluding in Los Angeles on October 25.
Artist presale will begin on Wednesday, March 20 at 10 a.m. local time and the general onsale will start on Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. local time. Exclusive VIP experiences will be available March 20 at 10am local.
“A brilliant catalog returns to U.S. stages and gives the strings-starved people what they want,” Variety wrote of the group’s previous tour in 2018. “The ELO catalog speaks for itself… and it was a glorious thing to behold… in a 19-song set that reprised the closest thing to truly Beatle-level pop the 1970s had to offer.”
ELO — originally named the Electric Light Orchestra — was formed in 1972 by singers/multi-instrumentalists Lynne and Roy Wood and drummer Bev Bevan from the ashes of legendary rockers the Move, with the intention of fusing rock music with classical instruments. Wood left after one album and Lynne assumed leadership of the group — taking on lead singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist roles — which went on to score such massive hits through the ‘70s as “Evil Woman,” “Strange Magic,” “Living Thing,” “Can’t Get It Out of My Head,” “Mr. Blue Sky,” “Telephone Line,” “Don’t Bring Me Down” and more.
The group officially disbanded in 1986 and Lynne went on to a solo career and extensive production work with George Harrison, Tom, Petty, Roy Orbison, Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Bryan Adams and even the Beatles’ two new songs on their 1995-96 “Anthology” series. With Harrison, Petty, Orbison and Bob Dylan, he was also a member of the 1980s all-star group the Traveling Wilburys. Lynne is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
