Food tours used to bring me out in a cold sweat. Our first-ever walking food tour was with Devour Seville in 2015, and I remember Marley, our 10-year-old, refusing to eat so many things I wasn’t sure if we would ever go on another again.

I was so worried that Jamie, our guide, would be upset or the stallholders. I was so very wrong. Devour really is a family-friendly option for food tours in Europe

Devour Tours is kid-friendly

Both of my girls thoroughly love going on the tours with all the guides we have had.

They now have the confidence to say yes or no to food. If they do say no they are encouraged but not forced to try it. Most of the time they will try and at the times they have said no there has always been something else they can try.

The stallholders and food shop owners always seem to want to encourage them too and talk to them like they are just as important as the adults on the tour which we appreciate! Devour is the first choice for Paris food tours for families.

The stallholders are also another reason why Devour Food tours stand out to me. I love the stories that they have behind their shops, stall or their great food and I love learning about it. They all have a personality that goes into their food and one that shines in the food they develop.

No stall is the same and no story is the same, which I love. History is wound easily into the le marais tour and you are learning while you are eating delicious food for a a few hours on this excellent food tour.

All the stallholders have a pride in their food because it’s not just good, it is magnificent and they know it. They put their best foot forward for the guided tour.

The pride they have in their food and business is an added element so many stores can lack. It sets them apart as excellence in their fields

Lulu was great! She was very informative, gave us good history regarding the stomping grounds of Julia Child. We walked through beautiful neighborhoods and ate at various places which all had great food (crepes, Perisian sandwiches, chocolate, eclaires, quiche, patisserie, wine and cheese). This was a decent amount of walking but not too much. At the end of the tour, including a walk to the Metro, including a quick stop to the Louvre, we were only at 10K steps.

Aneesh Kulkarni

We thought Benoit was an amazing guide on this twilight walking food through Le Marais. Engaging and interesting conversation throughout the tour. Great choices for stops, history and food. We would highly recommend this tour and Benoit. We were a family of four with two teenagers and they loved Benoit and for the tour that they made exciting.

Jessica Lowe McCraw

The BEST adventure through Montmartre BOOK THIS TOUR!!!! Our guide was absolutely FANTASTIC. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and you could tell he has a passion and love for food and the city. He has the best personality and we enjoyed every minute of the tour and learning about the food and history of Montmartre. We had the very best food and wine. We tried escargot for the first time and it was incredible. We had a fantastic group and the most memorable experience.

Kathi L

We were a family group of 12 ranging from 21 to 77 years and this absolutely suitable for everyone! Silvana was phenomenal in her knowledge of the area and her sense of humor was on point. The food and the wine were outstanding - our collective favorite was the pita at Miznon. We thought the food selection was well balanced - we loved that Silvana shared the French influence that has been incorporated in this amazing Jewish district. Absolutely would do this tour again!

rebecca s

We enjoyed Ben and all the food! He bent over backwards to accommodate our luggage so we wouldn’t miss the tour! There was plenty of food so come hungry! One of the best vegetarian pita sandwiches we ever had. Yes they accommodate vegetarians! I’m really hooked on food and wine tours now!

Stephanie Slaviero

Tris was amazing! He was so knowledgeable on everything French cuisine! He taught us so much about French food and how to choose the best! The food was also amazing! So much great food and so much great wine! I really wish we did this on our first day in Paris and not our last so that we could have eaten at some of the place Tris told us about!

Elisabeth Hess

We had a terrific tour with Chef Tris in Momartre! He was so much fun and full of great knowledge. The food was terrific and the day ended with an unbelievably great pastry called a choupette. Wow! Highly recommend this tour if you are in Paris. Yum yum!!

Melanie Abrahams

Claire is an amazing guide! We loved hearing about all the Paris history and the history specifically of Le Marais. She also shared interesting anecdotes about local businesses. And stopped at 2 secret gardens we would have never discovered in our own. The food stops were so delicious! The kouginettes from Maison George Larnicol were perfection. We finished with an amazing selection of cheeses and Pinot Noir at a quintessential Paris spot. The tour was a great way to explore Le Marais, meet some new people and enjoy great food and drinks

Jennifer Edgerton

My husband and I loved the food tour of Montmartre. We learned so much about French cuisine while we were eating our weight in delicious French food! We had escargot, beef bourguignon, cheese and fruit, macrons, and of course some lovely wine. We can recommend this tour enough! Our guide was so knowledgeable and such a fun character. Definitely take this tour if you're in Paris!

Tamarah B

The tour was amazing! Camila was a fantastic tour guide very informative and friendly. We learned so much about the history of Paris Le Marais is filled which such a rich fascinating history and a cool present filled with delicious classic and unusual food, desserts, and drinks.

Amy Tarleton

Chef Tris and Chef Karl provided a most memorable experience with their charisma, knowledge and storytelling. We did exactly what the tour described with walking in Julia Child’s footsteps on an average day in Paris. We started with a delectable crepe that could be either sweet or savory next door to the creperie that Julia regularly visited (sadly now closed). Then we ate Eclairs, shared jambon beurre baguettes, pain aux raisins, sampled various cheeses with a lovely glass of wine that was Julia’s favorite at her favorite restaurant just right around the corner from her Parisian home. Intermixed with the food was sightseeing and walking through the Latin Quarter and Saint Germain neighborhoods. All in all, our group had a tremendous time and would recommend to anyone even if you aren’t familiar with Julia Child.

Bruce Ewing

We went on the Eating Europe Food Tour of Montemartre. We had a blast! It was the best!!! We learned so much -- We ate & drank so much!!! It was an amazing afternoon we had! We are so grateful!!!

David Lee

I don’t normally write reviews. But this Montmartre food tour was hands down one of the very best things we did in Paris. Our host, Tris, was absolutely awesome - knowledgeable, funny, personable and very instructive on food, sourcing high-quality foods and wines, and giving us great insider-tips on local restaurants and specialty shops. This is not a typical food tour where they speed-walk you around town to sample tiny morsels. We learned about Parisian history and food culture and visited several shops, all culminating in a long, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable (and delicious) lunch with multiple courses and many different wines. All throughout, Tris was simply amazing. This truly is a must-do tour. My daughters (16 and 19) are still talking about it.

Taylor Reeves

Claire was a great tour guide! She gave my sister and I a one of a kind experience in France. We learned all about history, culture, and traditional food of the area. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to the area!

Tricia Finch

Camile was a delight to have as a food tour guide in the Marais district. Her knowledge of the area and it’s history were awesome, making the afternoon a delight. Camile gave us recommendations for cafes, Boulangeries, places to tempt our tastebuds and hidden areas to relax for the rest of our stay. We highly recommend her as a guide. Thanks Camile.

WHAT WE'LL DO

We propose a fantastic two hour walking food tour of Paris’ most historic market area. We specialise in family-friendly experiences and therefore offer four tastings of foods or drinks that children love: pastries, chocolate, macarons and ice cream/hot chocolate (seasonal). We also visit cheese shops, an escargot restaurant, and parent-friendly venues on our leisurely walk along a pedestrian only street in the heart of Paris. This tour will focus on food culture and the origins of some of Paris’ most iconic treats and dishes.

WHERE WE'LL GO

On this tour we visit one of the most charming streets in Paris. We visit or pass by cheese shops, fleuristes, chocolate shops, cafes, restaurants, bakeries and fine food shops.

Paris by Mouth food tours

Coming to Paris? We’d love to welcome you on one of our Paris by Mouth food tours.

We offer small-group tours led by food & wine experts, delivering some of the best French food you’ve ever tasted in about three hours. We focus on incredible cheese, breads, chocolate and wine. Some tours also load up on pastries or charcuterie. Our tours are designed for adults, and they sell out quickly in high-season.  Rated the #1 Paris food tour on TripAdvisor for more than a decade.

The calendar below shows our availability, and you can scroll down for more detail about our tours.

Paris by Mouth food tours

ABOUT PARIS BY MOUTH FOOD TOURS

For nearly a decade, we’ve been organizing the  most popular food and wine tours in Paris .  Here are some key points at a glance, but you can scroll down for more detail or send us an email with your questions.

  • Our group tours are  small  (8 people max) and led by  English -speaking experts.
  • They last around 3 hours. We are in and out of shops during the first half of the tour. During the second half, we are seated cozily inside a wine shop for a seated educational tasting of all we’ve collected.
  • Because we spend so much time inside of shops, our tours are a great activity for cold or wet days in Paris. Still, we encourage you to dress appropriately for the weather and to bring an umbrella.
  • Small group tours are priced at  130€  per person, including generous food & wine tastings. We don’t offer discounts for children or non-drinkers.
  • We do offer private tours, but these sell out quickly in high season. If you’re traveling in winter, click the button below to learn more about our 25% discount on private tours through March. If you don’t see a private tour option on our calendar, please email us at [email protected] and let us know your preferred tour, available dates, and group size. We’ll respond right away with more information.
  • Because our tours are heavy on information, complex flavors and wine, they’re not always a hit with kids. For this reason, we don’t allow children younger than 10 years old on our small group tours. Send us an email at  [email protected]  if you have questions – we may be able to host you privately.
  • We offer  5 different neighborhood tours  that all include very similar tastings of exceptional bread, cheese and wine – the so-called “trinity” of the French table, with some bonus tastes added on every route. You can expect to visit around 5-6 exceptional shops and to be quite full. Scroll down for information on the small differences between our routes (three options are vegetarian). We also offer the  French Cheese Explosion  for those who want a deep dive into  fromage .
  • We can navigate most food allergies, but if you are lactose or gluten intolerant or have another severe allergy, please reach out to us at  [email protected]  and let us know the nature of your allergy. We can not guarantee against cross contamination in our shops but we are able to avoid most ingredients. We can easily accommodate guests who are avoiding meat and alcohol. We don’t recommend our tours for vegans.

6 DIFFERENT FOOD & WINE EXPERIENCES

You can read more about our routes by clicking the following neighborhood tour options ( East Saint-Germain , West Saint-Germain , North Marais , South Marais and the Left Bank ), but here’s the bottom line: our neighborhood tours all focus on the so-called “trinity of the French table” – copious cheese, bread and wine, and then we add in extra stops that vary depending on your cravings, the guide’s expertise, what’s open that day. It could be chocolate, it could be charcuterie, it could be pastry, or something else. It’s sure to be delicious. We visit around 5 exceptional shops and finish with a blowout tasting that could double as a meal for most people. If there’s something you really want to taste or avoid, send us an email and we can suggest the best route for you. Most people choose a tour based on what fits best into their schedule, which neighborhood they want to explore, and what isn’t already sold out. If you are a vegetarian, we recommend the Left Bank, East Saint-Germain and South Marais tours, which do not include any meat.

Paris by Mouth food tour - our Left Bank food tour

The French Cheese Explosion is for fromage fanatics, and includes a visit to a cheese shop followed by a seated tasting and deep dive discussion of around 10 different cheeses, representing a wide variety of French regions and cheesemaking styles. Wine and bread will accompany our selection. Cheese is included on all our tours, but the French Cheese Explosion presents double the amount of cheese and three times the amount of cheese-geeky explanation.

Paris by Mouth food tour - our French Cheese Explosion

* Our tastings for the Left Bank tour, the South Marais tour, the West Saint-Germain tour and the French Cheese Explosion take place in beautiful spaces that are only accessible by one flight of stairs. If you’d prefer to avoid any stairs, we recommend joining our East Saint-Germain or North Marais food tours. Please email us with any mobility concerns at [email protected]  and we will be happy to point you in the right direction.

EXPERT GUIDES

Our guides are mind-bogglingly great. These aren’t part-timers who have memorized a tour script – these are trained chefs, certified sommeliers, food journalists, and other food geeks who know their stuff and are delighted to share.

RAVE REVIEWS FOR OUR FOOD TOURS

Our tours are rated the #1 Paris food activity on  TripAdvisor  with more than 3,350 five-star reviews. We’ve been celebrated by the  New York Times ,  the Washington Post ,  Rick Steves ,  Ruth Reichl ,  Dorie Greenspan  and  Travel & Leisure . Even so, more than half our bookings are repeat visitors and referrals from happy friends.

Purchase a gift certificate for a Paris by Mouth tour and share the most delicious food that Paris has to offer. We can make a gift certificate in any amount, and your recipient can use their gift card code – like a promotional code – to  book a tour  whenever they are in Paris. Learn more and  purchase your gift card here.

Five-Star Reviews left on TRIPADVISOR in April 2023:

Miranda W The Parisian experience I was hoping for! Our East St Germain food tour was easily one of the highlights of our trip! We had the BEST guide, Isabelle, she was so kind and very pleasant to listen to! She was extremely knowledgeable on French gastronomy, we learned so much! I wish there was an all day food tour with Isabelle, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner! We would definitely be interested in doing that next time because we enjoyed this one so much haha! Either way- we will absolutely choose Paris By Mouth food tours when we visit again, and would recommend this tour to anyone! I loved the wine tastings at the end, which all paired well with our collection of cheeses and bread! Isabelle gets 10 ?? stars from our group!!!

paulabsimon A foodie must in Paris! This was our 2nd Paris by Mouth food tour. We rarely duplicate an experience when we travel but we had such a great time on our visit in 2017 that we decided to do another tour in a location that we were less familiar with-the North Marais- and it was a perfect way to spend a Sunday. Stephen was a fantastic guide. Among the many stops – an award winning boulangerie where Stephen provided a lesson on how to judge a baguette, a beautiful fromagerie to learn about French cheeses, a stunning chocolate shop. This is a tour for foodies, lasting almost 3.5-4 hours. As a bonus, you get a subscription to the Paris by Mouth newsletter which is an absolute “go-to” for restaurant reviews and recommendations. Can’t say enough positive about Stephen, the food tour or the insights of Paris by Mouth!

Katie G A perfect way to taste a bit of Paris! A tour with Paris by Mouth with Diane R was recommended to me and my friend for our trip to Paris, and it did not disappoint! This tour was a perfect way to spend the morning, learning more about French culture and food, and get the inside scoop on a neighborhood in Paris. Diane planned the perfect tour, stopping at a boulangerie, fromagerie, charcuterie, wine shop (where we got to sit, eat, drink, and enjoy for a couple hours!), and chocolate shop. It was all within about a two block radius – so there was not too much walking involved. Diane was extremely well prepared with everything we would need like hand sanitizer, trays, plates, etc. She called ahead in some locations to ensure we could get the most out of exploring (and eating!). She was so knowledgeable on the food and history. I loved learning about what goes into making “the best croissant in Paris” or the innovation of a fromagerie that ages cheese on site. She tailored the experience and ingredients for our little lunch based on the interests and tastes of everyone on the tour.

If you’re headed to Paris, you should definitely take a tour, especially with Diane! I can’t wait for my next trip to Paris, so I can explore another neighborhood with Paris by Mouth.

Kim87507 Heavenly experience for cheese fanatics My husband and I attended the “Cheese Explosion” experience, and it was excellent. Our guide, Marion, was energetic, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, and had such a fun way to help us better understand the world of cheese. But not just cheese, but how to do pairings with wine, how to arrange a cheese tasting, why raw milk cheeses are superior, and why it makes a difference to go to a fromagerie that also has a cave to ripen the cheeses.

Sophia L High Expectations Exceeded! A MUST DO! My husband and I did the North Marais tour. We’ve traveled quite a bit and done our fair share of tours around the world so we have high expectations – and this exceeded it. It was a perfect combination of timing/pace, information/history and of course FOOD. Our guide was able to not only knowledgeable about what we were eating/drinking, he was able to give the story and history behind each thing. It is a walking tour, but it’s not overwhelming and you do get to sit for the last ~hour for the wine tasting. It was raining during most of our tour and even then our guide was able to adjust to ensure a good experience. If it’s raining, do bring a jacket/umbrella and you’ll be just fine. I honestly wish we had more time to do all of their tours.

kemabu1 Fun in North Marais Faye may be new to Paris by Mouth but she is not new to food and wine. She led our group with a wealth of information and was fun to spend our time with. We literally wanted to bring her around with us the rest of the night!! We enjoyed the stops along the way and learning more about French wine, cheese, meat and chocolate! Unfortunately it will make eating cheese back in the states a sad experience as we can’t get these unpasteurized cheeses! Thoroughly enjoyed by our group ranging in age from 15-71. We were a group of 7 so we ended up with a private tour…. Bonus!!! Thanks PBM and Faye! Now how do I get my hands on one of those PBM bags!!??

Kathleen L The hit of our trip to Paris! Great tour from Christina of the Left Bank. Fantastic information and food. As someone who knows cheese, I was very impressed with the quality of the cheeses Christina selected for us to try. The tasting was held in a wine store cellar — a nice, private space. And the patisserie, the chocolate purveyor, and the boulangerie were of the highest quality. We brought along our teen-aged granddaughter on her first trip to Paris — this was definitely a highlight of our trip. We enjoyed walking through the area. We had previously been on a tour of the Marais with Aurélien, and it was equally fantastic. Paris by Mouth, you are two for two! Thank you.

Phoebe B My favorite thing we did on my first trip to Paris! This was, by far, my favorite activity my friend, Katie, and I did during our first trip to Paris! Diane R. came highly recommended so we knew we wanted to book her for our Paris by Mouth tour of North Marais.

Diane had an amazing day planned for us where we visited a boulangerie, a fromagerie, a chartcuterie, a wine shop, and we finished in a chocolate shop. Diane was extremely prepared – I was very impressed that she had called many of the places ahead of time to place orders which reduced our waiting times. She came prepared with hand sanitizer, trays, napkins, and gave us all plenty of time to take instagram pictures of the food! She made sure to ask each of us what we were interested in learning and tasting and made sure to include that in the tour – a nice personalized touch!

Diane was extremely knowledgeable and I enjoyed learning about the history of France and Paris through the incredible food it has to offer. I HIGHLY recommend this tour and Diane!! Will definitely be coming back (as soon as possible)! Bon appetite!

Annika U The best of the best in Paris The only regret I have about this tour was not planning the tour at the beginning of our trip! We learned so much and the food was amazing! Marion, our guide, was an excellent resource for food and restaurants to try during our stay. Too bad we only had two days left on our trip! I guess we will have to go back. FYI, our family did the Left Bank Tour with our 3 kids, ages 10-17. We all agreed it was one of our favorite experiences of the entire trip. If…no, WHEN we go back, we will absolutely try another tour.

Jason B Delicious and Amazing for the Family This was an incredibly tasty, fun, and informative food and drink adventure! We did the original St Germain tour. It was my wife and me with our two teenagers (15 and 14). We all loved it! Savannah was a fantastic host as was her colleague, Sarah. The tour was just 8 people in total so it made for an intimate experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! This was an incredible way to start our day as the tour was from 10am-1pm. The rest of the day was simply better as a result. We had apple tarts, chocolate, breads, cheeses, wines and more. Absolutely delightful!!

Samantha C West Saint Germain food tour exceeded our expectations! We did the food tour of West Saint Germain and what a delight it was! Amber’s knowledge of the history and food is incredible. We learned about baguettes, croissants, chocolates, many cheeses, charcuterie, chefs and wine. The tour was a great way to intimately know a region in Paris and we enjoyed it so much that we returned on our the next day to explore further on our own. Amber followed up after the tour with an email which summarized our afternoon including everything we had sampled. We highly recommend Amber and look forward to returning to Paris to take another one of the tours by Paris by Mouth!

CHERIEParisFrance Your mouth will be happy! A great way to enjoy your time in Paris. Our guide, Mathieu, showed us some amazing places. The foods on the tour were top notch: breads, charcuterie, cheeses, chocolates and wine. Tres, tres Bon!

Lindsey S Fantastic food and wine My son and I loved our food and wine tour expertly led by Deniz. Fantastic food, history, drink – all delivered with so much passion and love for Paris. The South of Marais tour includes very interesting history and is a charming neighborhood not to be missed but is way better with an expert guide. Come hungry as all these bites add up! We loved this tour and highly recommend it for those who love gourmet food, history, and trying new things.

Oksana B Paris food with Diane was a Five Star experience This really made our trip to Paris. We always do food tours, but this is exceptional and unique. Diane was a phenomenal host for our learning trip through the Left Bank. Getting to better understand the Paris food culture really was a wonderful experience. All the foods were amazing and eating together in a beautiful wine cellar continued the learning, the deliciousness, and hospitality! Highly recommend, it is not to be missed!

Elizabeth M SO. MUCH. FUN. We felt like we struck pay dirt when two spots opened up on the sold-out French Cheese tour! Jennifer is incredibly knowledgeable about cheese (of course!), but also wine and food and chocolate and … Although we’ve been to Paris many times, we’ve never taken a food tour; it gave us a new appreciation for the dedication to the cheese-making craft in France and we loved having now some ‘insider’ info. Thanks to Jenn and Paris By Mouth for such a beautiful experience.

Thomas M If you like French food and wine… The interaction between Diane and all of the guests was fantastic and made the tour enjoyable and memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the company and left with our stomachs full. Definitely a “do not miss” tour for a great afternoon!

pam Perfect Food Tour – for adults and family We LOOOVED our food tour with Neil —- we took our 16 year old twin girls and were joined by 4 other people and enjoyed this SO much! Neil was clearly incredibly knowledgeable about the food and wine in Paris and took us to such great spots for cheese, bread, sweets and delicious wine. Neil made the tour enjoyable for all of us and would highly recommend this tour for food lovers who also want to see Paris and learn some of the history and facts about Paris food!!

Lauren K Food Lover’s Rejoice By far the highlight of our time in Paris, as informative as it was delicious! Marion was FANTASTIC! So much fun, so knowledgeable and ready and willing to share that knowledge – her background in hospitality was evident from the moment we did round-robin introductions. And then there’s the food, OMG the food! I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention that our initial tour in North Marais was impacted with protests and Paris by Mouth was exceptionally communicative and as flexible as possible in helping us change our tour at the last minute. Overall a fantastic experience that I would do again and again (if only I could be in Paris all the time!)

Daniel G Great Afternoon It was a perfect way to spend late morning and lunch. Marie did a great job giving us the back stories on the places we visited. The food was amazing and the company delightful. We would highly recommend this tour. As a side note, we tried on the restaurant recommendations and it was probably our favorite meal this trip.

Anne I What a blast! We had the best time on our tour with Marion. She is knowledgeable, friendly, funny and adorable. Our 13 and 16 year old boys had a great time as well. I recommend this to anyone traveling to Paris.

Krista S Delightful tour We had the most amazing tour with Stephen yesterday. His knowledge of the food and wine scene in the region was incredibly educational and his bright personality made the tour extra special. Definitely take advantage of this gem of a tour next time in Paris!

kriselis An amazing tour and taste of Paris We took the North Marais tour with Andres and it was definitely the highlight of our trip to Paris. My husband is still talking about how this was the best day of our trip because of the food tour. We started off with a boulangerie, stopped by a chocolate shop, and ended with a wine, cheese, and meat sit down meal. We were both so full but we were able to take some leftovers with us. Everything was top notch and highly rated. We learned so much about food and wine from Andres who was an absolute expert. This food tour is a must do while in Paris.

Carolyn H Learning with Lynn! April 23, 2023, thoroughly enjoyed the West Saint Germain, Paris by mouth food tour with Lynn! She was an excellent guide and provided wonderful and educational information on chocolate, breads, pastries, cheeses, and of course wine. This is my second tour with the company and I would definitely do it again and recommend to All. Cheese and wine for breakfast is not a bad way to start your day. Thank you, Lynn.

Michelle Marion’s Left Bank Tour was AMAZING!! We had the best time w Marion’s food and wine tour on the Left Bank. The best croissant. The best baguette and cheeses. Beautiful pastries and chocolates. And delicious wine. It was all perfect. My college age son even gave rave reviews! Marion was so informed, gracious and warm. We highly recommend this food tour to orient yourselves to French wine and cheese. And Marion even helped us w our dinner reservations! Thank you Paris by Mouth, we will tell everyone about this amazing experience!!

Discover35539904919 Fun and delicious West St. Germain tour Enjoyed an excellent tasting tour-the guide Isabelle was so informative and good-natured. We went to five wonderful shops, all of which I would return to, and ended up at a lovely wine store where we went upstairs and shared delicious bread, cheese, charcuterie, wine, chocolate and pastries while Isabelle explained everything. So much fun-highly recommend.

Catherine T Tours for foodies Love these food tours. I did a back to back tour of the Left Bank and North Marais, luckily with Aurélien who was really knowledgeable on the food, history and local information. It was a nice combination of walking, talking about food and later on sitting down for wine. We had bread, cheese, pate, charcuterie and pastries. The tour was well curated, offering the best of the neighborhood. The storytelling was awesome, felt like you’re talking to a food nerd friend. Later on we got a very detailed email on what we’ve eaten. Will definitely go back again and tour the other areas.

Kendall E Yummy tour! Be ready to learn and eat! We had a wonderful tour lead by Christina! She was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic, which made us feel welcomed and engaged during the entire tour! By the end, we were full and very happy to have experienced the left bank food tour!

Denise N The WOW experience We enjoyed the North Side tour with Marion. It was fantastic. I think I had the best croissant ever, we leaned about the different cheeses, chocolates and wine. We also went to a special bakery where they only serve a themed pastry for that day, our day was French pastry with a Japanese flare. Everything was incredible. That being said Marion is the one that brought it all to life. Her passion, knowledge and zest for life created an extraordinary experience. She made learning fun and really created a magical moment for us. I highly recommend taking this tour. Super fun!

Megan S The Best Way to Eat Your Way Through Paris! We had the best time on the South Marais tour where we ate our weight in baguettes, cheese, chocolate, and pâtissière. Everything we had was divine and meeting the proprietors and learning more about each gave us a deeper appreciation for Parisian food culture. Stephan, our guide, was an Irishman who’d lived and cooked in Paris for 29 years. He was both knowledgeable and loads of fun. We didn’t stop laughing (or eating) the entire tour. Stephan, if you host Dublin pub crawls, count us in! All you want to do in Paris is eat anyway, and this is the best way to do it. Highly recommend!

Stephanie p Amazing Food Tour Marion was amazing tour guide! So knowledgeable about wine, cheese, Paris, pastries, you name it! We learned so much from her and we enjoyed some amazing food and wine. The Left Bank Tour was definitely one of the highlights of our Paris trip. Marions’s amazing energy and expertise made the whole experience wonderful.

tony g. Small Food Mongers of Marais Par Excellence We did the Marais South tour with the very charming and impressively knowledgeable foodie Irishman Steven. It could not have been better. Wonderful choices of artisan cheese, pastry and chocolate vendors and Steven taught us things about cheese in particular which opened our eyes to the incredibly diverse flavors inherent in raw milk cheeses( All 5 kinds) , pastries and traditional baguettes, with small histories of the area thrown in. Our end of tour sit down tasting was in a cave below a wine shop in an older Paris building, quite cozy and atmospheric. As seasoned lifelong world travelers with considerable touring experiences we can be critical however Steven gets only praise for a relaxing and educational experience we will not forget . I better appreciate fine cheese. Thank you Steven.

David K Marais Cheese Explosion — A+++ The Marais Cheese Explosion tour was the highlight of our week in Paris. Our host Marion took us on a gastronomic tour of france pairing 10 cheeses with four perfect wines. Marion was the most genial, informed, and lovely host we could imagine. Her bright and bubbly personality was the perfect complement to her knowledge fo the food and wine she presented us. Five stars!

Barbara C Yummy Tour! Aurelien was simply marvelous! He was charming, knowledgeable and provided wonderful follow up of our tour. We would do again!

Marie L Left Bank Food Tour: Exquisite The Left Bank food tour with Marion was excellent. Her passion for highlighting the best France offers is palpable. I learned so much from this food tour, thanks to Marion: how to shop a cheese store, how to read the labels, MOF designations, and the list goes on….I will definitely share Paris by Mouth with any of my colleagues/friends that find themselves in Paris. Exquisite.

Charles G Yummy Paris Food Tour We had a delicious and informative tour of traditional Paris breads, chocolates, wine, etc. our engaging and delightful guide Marion was delightful, articulate, and knowledgeable. If you want to know how informed Parisians eat and drink miss this tour. Wonderful!

dianeecw French Cheese Explosion—Do It! My husband and I went on the French Cheese Explosion tour with Marion Caves. We highly recommend this tour. The cheeses and wine pairings were terrific. Marion is very knowledgeable and made the entire experience lots of fun. We will definitely take another tour with Paris By Mouth. (Also, the list of restaurants via their blog is great in identifying local finds.)

Kate B Foodie Alert Our guide Savannah and her co-host were one of the highlights of our trip to Paris. We started with warm croissants, she took us along as she shopped our picnic which was then held in a very cool wine cellar. We had a small group so very easy to ask questions. I will definitely take another tour with this company.

Alex M A must do activity for foodies visiting Paris! Visiting and walking around North Marais was an unforgettable experience. Not to mention the food was delicious! We learned so much about the cuisine and got to try so much food I would have never otherwise been able to order myself. Diane was our tour guide and she was kind, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. The group was small enough that it didn’t feel intimidating at all. This was one of the highlights of our trip!

ilana m Fabulous experience Our tour guide Neil was amazing. He was excellent with my children and was extremely patient and flexible with their needs. He was knowledgeable in the area and followed up with a detailed email where we had been. I highly recommend him and this tour company and will be hiring them again.

Gretel H A Must Do Experience We booked a Left Bank Food Tour with Marion and it was one of our favorite experiences on our trip to Paris. We had 4 kids with us, varying in ages from 11-15 and adults (8 in total). One was gluten-free. Marion worked with our group to make sure everyone enjoyed all aspects of the food we tried. My only regret was booking the trip on our last day in Paris, so that we did not have time to revisit some of the places we went on our tour. I can’t say enough about this experience–it was so special for everyone.

2centsSanFrancisco Amazing food tour Great walking, eating, & wine tasting tour! Our family of 3, including our 13 year old, all loved this tour. Our guide, Aurelien, was very knowledgeable, fun, & engaging. Highly recommend!

Renee S North Marais with Stephen Stephen was a fantastic guide and not only showed us many hidden gems in the North Marais neighborhood but also taught us so much about food culture in France. My favorite thing was the map he used to show us, as we tasted each wine and cheese, what part of France it came from. It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon

Barbara L An amazing Experience! This was an amazing food tour. Our guide Deniz was incredible. She was extremely knowledgeable about food and wine and made this tour so enjoyable! We took the South Marais tour, the neighborhood is so fun and the food and wine was amazing! Cannot recommend this tour and guide highly enough !

Jordan B Fantastic! We had the best time! Diane was so knowledgeable and made it a great tour. I also took my 6 year old daughter – always a bit of a risk 🙂 but she had a great time, too. This was a highlight of our trip!

rebecca b THE BEST! AMAZING! Even better than expected. Jennifer was friendly and thorough, and it was a great tour. We tasted 4 wines and 11 cheeses!!! Highly recommend.

howdybonjour Super fun and informative tour Had a super time with this small group tour. Our guide Neil took great care of us… was knowledgeable and fun! I’ve been to Paris many times and taken quite a few food tours but still learned a lot and just had a really enjoyable afternoon. One tip: be prepared for the weather! I hadn’t realized how much of the tour would be outside talking and walking (probably should have, didn’t read carefully).

Kabradle Highly recommend Paris by Mouth tour We had such a lovely experience on our tour of the Left Bank. Diane’s expertise and warm demeanor made the experience feel less like a tour and more like experience the area with a friend of a friend. I’d highly recommend Paris by Mouth to anyone who enjoys food!

JBond214 Get a taste of the local experience Awesome tour, highly recommended! Great local guides. Nice to go in the neighborhoods where you might not otherwise go and sample all the best local treats!

Our Food and Wine Tour of the Left Bank, with our guide, Marion, was amazing! Marion brought energy and excitement to the tour. The food selections were out of this world. It was a great learning and tasting experience.

My friend and I took your French wine and it was amazing ! Paris is always a good idea and we think it would be good to book another one when we come again to Paris !

Five-Star Reviews left on TRIPADVISOR in February 2023:

Highly recommend Our tour of East St. Germaine was a highlight of our Paris trip. Jennifer was a wonderful guide – extremely knowledgeable and fun to spend time with, taking us on the perfect blend of stops with wonderful tastes and stories along the way (although nothing could beat the bakery where we started)! We would absolutely do another PBM tour again on our next trip. — Tasting Paris Visiting museums and important sightseeing spots is certainly important in Paris. Also tasting and delighting in all that Paris offers is truly a must! No one better than your guide from Paris by Mouth tours. Aurelien was so knowledgeable and enjoyable. Because of him, we ate the most delicious bread and croissants , cheeses and chocolates and fruit pates. Ended our tour in a wine shop. A fabulous experience ! Matthieu, a future guide added to the fun! — Delicious way to learn I did the Left Bank tour during a short stay in Paris and it was fantastic! Isabelle, our tour guide, shared great info about the different foods and makers. The group size was small and everyone really enjoyed the day. The pace was easygoing, but we covered a lot of territory. Capping the day off with a tasting of cheese, wine, and desserts in a very old wine cellar was a great way to end the tour. Highly recommend! — You don’t know that a macaron is until you try the one in this tour! Absolutely heavenly!! We did the Left Bank Small Group Tour last Wednesday, February 15. We had an absolutely fantastic experience. This was, by far, the best food tour I have had in my life. The quality of the products/places we visited, the pace, and the variety were just the best of the best. We learned a lot in the most relaxed, delicious, and fun way. Having Marion as our guide was like winning the food tour guide lottery. She really is the best! She is personable, funny, and knows so much!! We absolutely loved this tour and will definitely do other tours with Paris by Mouth when we come back to Paris. Thank you Marion and Paris by Mouth! Mirtha and Steve. — Definitely Recommend! We had such a wonderful time on our tour of North Le Marais today. Marion was an amazing guide to the food of an amazing city. The food and wine was carefully curated and Marion was an expert on both. She tells great stories and made the tour upbeat and interesting. She also makes suggestions for restaurants in other parts of Paris. Great day! — One of the best Paris experiences! The Paris by Mouth tour in a north Marais was a top experience for our trip! Our tour was led by Diane who was so congenial, kind, and knowledgeable. We were lucky to have an intimate tour of five. Diane allowed the tour to become more of a conversation vs a lecture and we were able to learn so much about our neighborhood purveyors and their crafts alongside the French traditions and way of enjoying food. This tour will become a top recommendation for me to my friends. The price may seem like a lot at first glance, but it is incredibly worth it! I was told to book the food tour both early in my trip and in the neighborhood where I was staying to get to know the area we’d be calling home. This was fabulous advice and I hope others do the same. Also just an FYI- my mother joined us and she has limited mobility/endurance due to a current cancer treatment. She was able to participate and do the walking part with no issue. — Fully Satisfied! I found this tour company through Tripadvisor and have nothing but great things to say! Our Left Bank food tour with Neil was excellent – even according to my husband who was initially sceptical that a guided tour would be worth the time and cost. Neil was knowledgable and personable and available even after the tour for dining and other food suggestions! The food on the tour was also so good – we ended up going back to the bakery 2 more times during our stay for the amazing pastries and croissants. I would absolutely recommend this tour. We found Paris by Mouth over on instagram as well and ended up subscribing for restaurant recommendations and were wowed by every place we ate at during our stay – exactly the type of meals we were hoping for and much better than most of the random places we found on our own. We were 100% not let down by any of their suggestions! — Eating our way through the South Marais A friend and I did the South Marais tour with Marion this week. It was my second Paris by Mouth tour, and Denise’s third. Marion is thoroughly knowledgeable and perfectly delightful, as well! Although we’ve been staying in the Marais when visiting Paris for more than 6 years, we were introduced to places we didn’t know … but to which we will now be happy to return! These food tours are a great way to immerse yourself in Paris through the medium of food and wine … what’s not to like? I’d recommend these tours to anyone who likes to eat and drink, and Marion is a keeper! — Yum! We took the Marais tour with Isabelle. It was fantastic. She was a great group leader who put everyone at ease and had a deep knowledge of the subject matter, having worked in fine dining. The formula for these trips (croissant, cheese, pastry, chocolate, wine) is delightful. Can’t wait to do another! — Outstanding Jennifer, our guide was warm, friendly, personable, knowledgeable and funny! A great personality and very knowledgeable based on her personal and professional background. 15 stars out of 10…. Take the tour!!!! — Best Tour Ever A highlight of our Paris trip was our Paris by mouth tour/tasting of the best spots for bread, chocolates, cheese, and wine in Paris. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Jennifer was so knowledgeable (food and history), kind, and anticipatory. She immediately greeted us and welcomed us with a smile and friendly hello in English which was a little refreshing since feeling like an outsider trying to keep up with your French. The tour has the perfect timing. Just when you are getting chilly you are back inside learning again. The perfect amount of stops shopping for your goods before you arrive at – what feels like a secret wine cave – the wine shop that has a basement table and comfy chairs. We spread out and kicked back and enjoyed the yummy finds. Everything we ate and drank was delicious and selected perfectly for us. Wonderful assortment. We had great conversation over our yummy bites. It felt like we were hanging out with friends. We would have never known to go to the local spots on the tour. Felt like an insider. I loved the secret garden we had our pastries in. Was a great way to explore Paris. Overall 10/10 would highly recommend including this your in your Paris itinerary. Will be back!! — Thank you Marion! Thanks to Marion we had the most fantastic day in Paris on the North Le Marais tour. Her energy and knowledge was outstanding. We learned so much and really appreciated her attention to detail. So friendly, so fun, was absolutely the best part of our Paris trip! Thank you Marion! — An informative and enjoyable tour Thank you Aurelian for such an informative and enjoyable time! We tasted some delicious cheeses, meats, bread, chocolate and champagne. — French Cheese Explosion Tour with Jennifer Jennifer was the perfect tour guide for the French Cheese Explosion Tour. She was knowledgeable and passionate about French cheese, and wine, and more. We learned a great deal and had a wonderful time – my husband and I were thrilled with the experience, and it was a delight to see our young adult sons enjoying the event as well. It was a highlight of a very special week in Paris – thanks again to Jennifer!

Great tour A very informative and enjoyable tour, our guide Neil was knowledgeable and approachable and very kindly supplied an extra treat of champagne as we were in Paris for an important birthday. The food was delicious and we now have some excellent places to revisit in future trips to Paris. — Paris by Mouth is Fantastic Our family of four went on a Paris by Mouth tour of East Saint Germain with Neil in January 2023. Neil was a fabulous guide with amazing information about the neighborhood and the food. Everything we ate and drank was absolutely delicious! We learned a lot and had a GREAT time! We would highly recommend Paris by Mouth! — Perfect introduction to food in Paris We were lucky enough to score a Left Bank food tour with Marion on a chilly January Day in Paris. It was our first full day of a one week stay and it was the perfect orientation for the week. It was fun, educational, delicious, and inspiring. If you want to laugh a lot, taste a lot, and learn a lot, take one of these tours. Marion is fabulous. — Enrichment to both the mind and the tummy! We had Marion today who gave us a wonderful experience. As it turned out, there was only a very small amount of walking to do. While our stops were at what were seemingly ordinary places, Marion brought to life the significance of each of those places with interesting historical accounts and background information. Marion was very well versed in French cuisine, in particular, wine and cheese. I learned so much about these cultural gems of France and felt intellectually enriched. The yummy food on the way was a bonus. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes food and wine, not just gastronomic connoisseurs and buffs as Marion made everything very accessible and fun. Thanks Marion, vous étés merveilleuse !!! — Great way to try delicious new food, explore new places, and learn about food and wine We had Marion for our tour guide and we had a fabulous time! She is so knowledgeable about everything we tried- the bread, croissants, cheeses, wines, pastries, and chocolates. The Latin Quarter was also such a cool place to explore while trying new things. This tour was recommended to me and I would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Paris. — Perfect way to start your visit in Paris Marion was a supremely knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging tour guide. We enjoyed her vast culinary knowledge as well as her sense of humor and willingness to offer recommendations both during and after the tour. — Paris with a local Marion and the Paris by Mouth tour were sensational! The experience was like meeting an old friend you haven’t seen in months, hitting up the best local spots for bread, cheese, chocolate and wine followed by a relaxed gathering in a cellar to remanence about the days of old. Marion was knowledgeable, informative, entertaining and had a clever name for everyone, whiskey boy!!! I highly recommend this tour! — Left Bank Food Tour with Amazing Guide Marion The Left Bank food tour was amazing. Our guide Marion was so knowledgeable, warm and fun – she even gave us restaurant recommendations for later in our trip. She took us around the area to some awesome spots before we finished the tour with a wine and cheese tasting. It was our favorite activity on our 6 day trip to Paris and would highly recommend this food tour! — Aurélien was a terrific guide! Aurélien was an excellent guide for our Left Bank food tour. We were the only two people on our small group tour, so it was effectively private. Aurélien tailored the tour to our interests and was highly knowledgeable. The highlight was definitely the wine and cheese tasting. I would certainly recommend a tour with Paris by Mouth. Their website and Substack are also great sources of restaurant reviews and recommendations. — Very enjoyable, highly recommended! The tour and tasting experience was highly enjoyable, and Aurélien is a top-notch guide and host! It was great to not only sample various delicacies from local shops (including the best croissant in Paris, from Isabelle’s), but also to get a bit of a neighborhood tour on the Left Bank. As for the tasting lunch itself, the wines and cheeses were all superb. I’ve already recommended Paris but Mouth to other friends who will be traveling to Paris soon. — Well worth doing! We had a great tour with Aurèlien. Croissants, cheese, chocolate, pastries and wine! In addition, Aurèlien gave us a bit of the history of the area. There were 4 of us and we were joined by 4 others. Really nice group! Highly recommend this tour. — A wonderful food tour in the North Marais! I took the North Marais Tour in September 2022 with Amber and absolutely loved it! Amber was so knowledgeable and I felt as if I were on a tour with a friend. I loved that we had a small group and we were able to sit down at a table after visiting several shops and truly enjoy the samples Amber chose for us — with some amazing wines, of course — and leave feeing full and happy, but not overly so. It was a delightful tour and I would do another one again without question! — Day in Marias Oui Oui! My 21 year old daughter and I had the most delightful tour yesterday in Marais with Stephen. I recommend this tour highly! Who knew there were five kinds of cheese made in France and that I should look for “traditional” baguettes! Thank you again wonderful day. — A great foodie walking tour We did the South Marias food tour in mid December with Jennifer and it was fantastic. Jennifer was knowledgeable and really friendly, and the tour was interesting, generous and DELICIOUS! What a great way to find some of the genuine and ‘real’ spots in Paris, and to have some fun along the way. — Best tour – as if a friend took you around the city and shared favorites with you Wonderful food tour led by Diane. Learned about the neighborhood, its culture and people. Diane was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of our questions. Felt like a friend was taking us around her neighborhood. Got to eat some delicious breads, cheese, charcuterie and sweets — all enjoyed with fantastic wine. Our group was also so joyous and fun. — Awesome experience! Myself and my 12 year old daughter participated in a tour and I could not recommend it highly enough! We both thought it was so much fun. Our guide Deniz was incredibly knowledge, so fun and we were so impressed! Highly recommend!

Five-Star Reviews left on TRIP ADVISOR in December 2022: I’m visiting from NYC and am a food enthusiast and also have many friends in the industry. Our guide Isabelle, was very knowledgeable, and also did a great job at making everyone feel included and making the experience approachable. I have been on very mediocre food tours in Paris and would definitely seek out Paris Bu Mouth again. — The perfect food tour! I could do this cheese tour a hundred times and I would never tire of it. Jennifer was so knowledgeable and personable. I wouldn’t hesitate booking other tours with Paris By Mouth in the future. Thank you so much, Jennifer! — Expert guide of the best in class Marion provided four couples (all of us unknown to one another) a delicious education in the best of Paris. The best croissant, amazing cheese, wine, baguette, and chocolate. All the finest places to visit in the 6th Arrondissement. She was friendly, engaging and funny — just the best experience we could ask for. Thank you Marion! — This is worth it for sure!!! Neil was a fabulous tour guide,, lots of fun and easy going!!! We learned a lot and would highly recommend this tour. You learn about various foods in Paris , places to eat and more. Neil is someone you want to have for dinner, a great person and easy going!!! — Perfect tour of the Marais Marion was bright, inquisitive of our needs, cheerful, and everything you’d want in a guide. The food to her in the Marais was simply sublime. I tasted the best caramel, cheese, croissant, and terrine. — Highlight of Paris Trip! Was in Paris visiting my daughter, who’s studying abroad, and heard this was a good tour from a friend. It turned out to have been the highlight of the whole trip! The food and wine was delicious, but it was our tour guide, Marion, who made the experience unforgettable. She is super knowledgeable and funny and entertaining! If you book this tour, ask for Marion, you definitely won’t regret it. — What a great way to spend the afternoon! What a wonderful evening on the Left Bank of Paris, 14/12/22! We were a group of eight, I was traveling solo, and we got to experience baguettes, cheese, chocolates, pastries, and wine. Each shop we visited was award winning. We gathered food from each location and ended our evening in the wine cellar of a wine shop. We had tastings of the cheeses and the three wines and enjoyed our pastries. The wine discussion was so helpful. I wish I had taken notes! When I return to Paris, I know I will take another tour. Marion, thank you so much for a beautiful tour! — AMAZING experience! We had the BEST time on our Paris By Mouth tour! Our guide, Marian, was AMAZING. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and FUN and her passion and enthusiasm were completely infections. We learned SO much! The small group was great – we got to know each other a bit and it was easy to hear and learn about wine, cheese, and bread in Paris. We’ll be back! — What a great way to spend the afternoon! What a wonderful evening on the Left Bank of Paris, 14/12/22! The food was great and the atmosphere and company even better. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Paris. — Awesome experience! Myself and my 12 year old daughter participated in a tour and I could not recommend it highly enough! We both thought it was so much fun. Our guide Deniz was incredibly knowledge, so fun and we were so impressed! Highly recommend! — Expert knowledge of French pastries, cheese and wine! My wife and I have been to Paris before and have done food tours in other cities but Neil with Paris by Mouth was definitely one of the best. His knowledge of the Latin Quarter and the traditional breads, croissants, wines and cheeses is exceptional. We tasted a wonderful selection of all four during our tour! What a great way to experience this charming part of Paris. — A unique experience every time My boyfriend and I visited Paris over a long weekend this month. I had done the Paris By Mouth tour before and the only one available was the exact same option (Left Bank) that I had done before. We chose to do it anyway, hoping for a similar but different experience, and it did not disappoint. We were the only two in Neil’s group, which was lucky! He did a great job customizing the experience for the two of us. He was curious about us but also very knowledgeable about Paris having lived there for several years. I love that this tour ends in a wine tasting with cheese pairing because I am interested in both (of course) and learned even more than I did last time. We bought a half-case from the wine shop to check-in on our way back to Chicago. Highly recommend doing this tour, even if you’ve done it before! I’m not sure if she’s still with the company, but my cousin and I had Amber last time and loved it all the same. — Terrific Left Bank food tour My wife and I attended a Left Bank food tour in December of 2022. It was exactly what we were hoping: educational and delicious. High standards for the good while casual for the experience. Isabelle was impressively knowledgeable, very personable. Highly recommended. — Highly Recommend Paris By Mouth Our family had a lot of fun with Neil on our left bank food tour. He selected delicious baguettes, croissants, chocolates, pastries, and wines for us to enjoy and educated us about the history and origin of each type of food as well as about the shops, shop owners, and left bank neighborhood. We left knowing far more than when we started and most importantly, had a ton of fun along the way. — A Delicious way to spend the morning Jennifer was really knowledgeable about cheese, pastry, chocolate, and wine. Her portions were generous (we could have shared everything!) and we had so much fun trying new places in a neighborhood we know. We spent more than the allotted time together, and she was generous enough to let us enjoy the tour. I would absolutely do another tour with Jennifer, and I highly recommend her! — Great Experience I did the left bank tour with Marion, who was a phenomenal host. She showed us around the various spots for bread, cheese, chocolate, and wine. I learned so much from Marion more about what goes into the quality of making these products. Marion was so sweet and answered all of our questions. We also got other recommendations for other food places in Paris as well. Highly recommend booking this tour to learn more about food and wine in Paris! — A must for all cheese lovers! I cannot rave enough about Jennifer and the Cheese Explosion tour with Paris by Mouth! We tasted 11 different cheeses paired with wine and bread. I learned so much about each type of cheese, reaized that I have never had real goat cheese before and learned that yes, cows can be divas (in a good way). This was more than just tasting cheese – this was a total cheese imersion tour! Highly recommend and will do this tour again on my return to Paris! —- West Saint Germain tour with Diane Can’t say enough about this tour and our guide Diane. We have done other Paris by Mouth tours and this is our hands down favorite. We started with a small art tour of the Beaupassage which was a nice touch as Diane wove in bread and croissants, followed by incredible chocolates, pastry and the best cheeses I have ever had. Highly recommend! —- A must in Paris Wonderful tour! Our guide, Stephen was truly knowledgeable and very friendly. We walked and stopped in boulangeries, patisserie, chocolate shops, cheese and charcuterie specialties and also a small butcher shop, all in west st germain. We learned a lot! We also ate sooo much good stuff. The tour ends in a wine shop where we were seated and offered different kinds of wines, cheeses, in very generous amounts.I am celiac and Stephen brought gluten free bread for me. I was pleasantly surprised to see how professionally and seriously handled the whole experience is. Congratulations to paris by mouth. Don’t hesitate to book your tour —- Absolutely worth it – a great way to get to know Paris / France and its food We loved our East Saint Germain tour with Stephen. He was so knowledgeable about the food and the city. His background in cooking and his love of great food was clear. Everyone was welcomed. The foods we tasted were fantastic! Would highly recommend. —- What could be better? I had a wonderful Left Bank cheese, bread, pastry, chocolate and wine extravaganza with Stephen on the cold afternoon of December 16, 2022. In an unusual and mysterious turn of events, my scheduled compatriots did not show up, and my tour turned into a private one, allowing me to ask, and have answered, my thousands of questions. Stephen is a chef with experience in many other aspects of the food and wine world too, and was very knowledgeable, patient and tons of fun. While the odd turn of events I experienced is extremely unlikely to happen to you, I have no doubt you’d have the same great time with him in a group. The tour is not inexpensive, but it was very much worth it — portions were generous and certainly on the afternoon schedule, the tour easily passes for an early dinner. — Excellent tour in the latin quarter Marion was a delightful and knowledgeable guide through the Latin Quarter. We sampled the best cheese, croissants, bagettes, cheeses , pastries, chocolate and wine. Marion made food/wine in Paris come to life. I would definitely take another tour with this group. — Trip Highlight Our tour of North Marais with Deniz was one of the highlights of our trip—it was fun, educational, and absolutely delicious. The restaurant recommendations we received prior to our trip and during our tour helped us make the most of our time in Paris. Very much look forward to touring a new neighborhood on our next trip!

Five-Star Reviews left on TRIP ADVISOR in November 2022: — Excellent in every way — do it! So much fun, and so delicious — we enjoyed every minute of the Left Bank tour. Marion, our super friendly and knowledgeable guide, led our small group to numerous local spots that were consistently inspiring. In about 3 hours, I enjoyed more delicious baked goods, cheese, and wine (and learned more about them) than days of solo exploring would ever have yielded.

Pro tip: arrive hungry. I’m hungry right now just thinking about it! We’ll definitely return for another tour in the future. — A must do! What a great way to get to know Paris, le Marais and so many nice things to know and to taste. Andres was a wonderful guide, enthousiastique about wine, food and neighborhood. We had a great time! — Best Food Tour Ever Having done several food tours before, and even many with Paris by Mouth, the West Saint Germain tour is my favorite. Diane, our favorite guide of them all, was thoughtful with her food and wine choices to create an unparalleled experience. Her knowledge of wine in particular was impressive and the way she walked us through the wines was so easy to understand. So much learning in such a short amount of time delivered in a fun and low-key way. — Inspiring and delicious This was an amazing experience. Very knowledgeable guide, great stories and lots to learn. The food was great and the atmosphere and company even better. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Paris. — Tasty Paris Isabelle was so pleasant to lead this tour. So knowledgeable and easy to follow. Choosings were great and such a fun time. — Emily Guided Us to Deliciousness with Context Wow! Emily’s knowledge is encyclopedic and her down-to-earth, friendly manner came through in all she did. She was polite, engaging and knew how to make each of us feel a part of all we learned together. We have two teenagers whom she made feel welcome and included. We learned so much about Paris—from how she came to be here to its wine history to how the neighborhoods and their shop owners connect. We had choices in what we tried, did a little walking and enjoyed a seated tasting that was delicious. Thank you, Emily! — Excellent experience. Marion was great! An excellent food tour. I had a great expeRience with Marion as my guide. She is extremely knowledgeable about all things food in Paris. And, showed us the best of the best (Meilleur Ouvrier de France or MOFs) places. I’ll definitely be sending my friends and family your way when they visit Paris. Overall, great vibes and very happy to have done this tour with Marion. — C’était parfait! We had a fantastic South Marais tasting tour with Neil. Neil was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating to our family of ten that included grandparents in their 70s and the 4 children in our group ages 11-15. The shops we visited were lovely, the food and drink delicious and we all enjoyed ourselves and learned so much about the area and the food, especially the cheeses we tried. Neil was so personable and added on an ice cream shop stop to the tour which was such a treat. One of the highlights of our trip! — Educational and delicious! Wonderful small group tour led by the amazing Marion! Her knowledge was extensive and she worked hard to make sure everyone was engaged and included. Sadly, she has ruined me forever for pasteurized cheese. It is just not as good as raw milk cheese!! Thank you, Marion! — First time in Paris Paris by Mouth was absolutely fantastic we went to five different locations, all we excellent. We ended with a wine tasting that was also very well done. Our guide Neil was the best. If you visit Paris these guys are a must do. — Best guide and experience! I had a wonderful day learning about bread, cheese, pastry and wine in Paris with a fantastic guide Neil! He was very knowledgeable and fun. I learned about best food spots in Paris and plus fantastic wine! I highly recommend this tour and guide Neil! — Amazing food and wine experience We had a tour of north Marais today with Marion…what a wonderful experience…she was amazing, so gregarious and engaging…so knowledgeable about food and wine…I loved the blind taste tests…what a great way to really think about what you’re tasting..thanks so much Marion for the amazing afternoon of food and wine! — Excellence at its finest! Marion was amazing today. This sets an all new bar for us. We’ve don’t about 10 food tours in the past and this was by far, superior to all others. Our tour guide was super upbeat, energetic and knowledgeable. Which is exactly what we needed. Our entire group was sooo Happy with this experience. And we would 100% do this tour again! Thank you Marion! — One of the best experiences in France! What an amazing experience! Fun, lively, educational and delicious. Marion gave us the most wonderful tour of the N Marais. She is a highly educated and great tour guide that was one of our best experiences in all of France. Cannot recommend Paris By Mouth and Marion enough! Already planning our return trip to include additional tours with Marion. Thanks! — Relaxing tour with lots of new food and drink discoveries We had a nice afternoon on a private tour with Neil – we learned a lot not only about food, but also about Paris as a city. Neil was very good at explaining things and also tailored the tour to our taste (like we didn’t really want sweets, so there was just a short stop etc.). Overall, this is almost a must, if you want to go to discover how people really eat in Paris 🙂 — Left bank food tour with Marion My husband and I (in our young 30s) went on the Left Bank food tour with our guide Marion and LOVED our experience. I would consider myself an advanced foodie (I am well-versed at french cuisine and have been to many gourmet food tours all over the world) and would put this tour up there as one of the best. Marion was warm, entertaining and extremely knowledgable, and the places that they chose to take us were exquisite. Marion’s passion for the food and wine we were enjoying was infectious; she was even sweet enough to give us many personalized recommendations for the rest of our visit to Paris. The tour ran from 3pm – around 6pm, and we ended up cancelling our dinner reservation after because we were so full! Highly recommend for a fun afternoon for any foodies. — Lovely food and wine tour of Paris We did the small group Left Bank tour and had Marois as our guide. Marois was passionate and so knowledgeable about both food and wine. The tour takes up to 3 different VOF (award winning best of the best) establishments and covers croissants, baguettes traditonelle, chocolate, cheese and more cheese and of course wine. Our group was lovely from all over the globe. A wonderful way to spend a late afternoon/evening in Paris. — Paris By Mouth South Marais Small Group Tour My husband and I spent a week in Paris and our South Marais Tour with Marion was so fun. Marion has the perfect personality and knows how to please her guests. We learned so much about the neighborhood, shops and the cheese and wine we tried. One of our best days for sure. Book your tour now! — Deniz is a superb guide Deniz was a superb guide to the North Marais tour. She was knowledgable and quite keen to share her knowledge and answer every question of our food-obsessed tour members. It was a wonderful experience, very much a worthwhile use of our tourist time and the food was spectacular. — I want more French wine, French cheese and another tour with Marion! Marion and the South Marais Tour were exceptional! From start to finish we had an amazing experience with Marion and our other new friends. So many laughs and an abundance of great information that left you wanting more …and we definitely have all acquired a taste for the MOF perfection and “happy cow” cheeses and those exquisite wines! Concluding the tour in the “Wine Cave” was perfection! We have numerous friends heading to Paris in the near future and we have already told them all that this is a MUST. — Neil is the best! Neil was the best guide you could imagine. He was was not only a great tour guide with all of the food and area knowledge but so friendly and personable, all of us on the tour loved him immediately. We could not have had anyone better! Thank you Neil for making us feel welcome in Paris and for sharing your extensive knowledge with us. We loved the tour! — A highlight of our trip to Paris My husband and I recently went on the South Marais tour with Marion and it was great!! We visited a chocolate shop, cheese shop, pastry shop and finished at a wine shop where we sat down as a group and tasted everything. Marion was so friendly and obviously very knowledgeable. I highly recommend! If you do an afternoon tour, you will not need dinner. — Experience Paris Neighborhoods Like a Local For travelers looking to experience Paris neighborhoods like a local, this is a DO NOT MISS experience! Marion was a phenomenal hostess in the Marais and maneuvered locations and selections with comfort and ease. We visited 5 shops, ending at the Marche Des Rouge Enfants to enjoy wine, cheese, bread and charcuterie. What an intimate and unique experience. A small group of 5 enjoying Parisian tastes while hearing their history and the local perspectives made for a truly immersive afternoon and evening. Definitely come hungry/thirsty and don’t make plans for dinner if you choose an afternoon tour! — Oui, cheese, wine and chocolate! Marion, our very knowledgeable guide, showed us the best of the South Marais district. Not only does she know her “stuff” she created a fun and friendly environment which allowed us to get to know each other and ask questions. I highly recommend a Paris By Mouth Tour and, if you’re lucky, you’ll get Marion! — South marais tour We booked the South Marais food tour with Stephanie. This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Each stop was better than the last and Stephanie had an incredible amount of food and history knowledge that made the tour so fun and enlightening. This is a special experience and we couldn’t recommend more. — West St Germain – Don’t miss out We did the brand new West St Germain tour with Isabelle and it was the best food tour I’ve experienced. Roaming the streets of St Germain stopping to sample baked goods and decadent chocolates? End it with a food and wine tasting? Absolutely great way to spend the day. Highly recommend. Isabelle was engaging and professional. Her descriptions of the different cheeses and wines really made for a great experience. — Amazing cheese selections, great value, awesome host! My wife and I recently took the French Cheese Explosion tour with Jennifer and could not recommend it more highly! Jennifer was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the subject, and selected a wide range of incredible cheeses for us to try. There was a wonderful walk from our meeting place to a cheese shop then to our tasting room, which was in a beautiful wine cellar. We had a few delicious wines along with the tasting as well. Just an absolutely delicious afternoon.

Can’t say enough good things about these folks. I had inquired about a tour ahead of a date being available, and as soon as they opened up a date, they emailed me to let me know. The website/newsletter is fantastic as well. Can’t wait to get back and book another tour! — Fantastic Foodie Adventure My friend and I took a Left Bank Food Tour with Marion and really loved it. Marion is a true foodie, and her background, knowledge, and enthusiasm for food in Paris really enhanced the experience. She provided so much useful information about how to taste and appreciate the food that we were eating and to help us find flavors we like in the future by knowing the various categorizations of cheese and regions of wine in France. — A tour four real foodies, can’t say enough great things Paris by Mouth leads the best food tours I have ever come across in all of my travels throughout the world. I recently did my second tour with Paris by Mouth on the left bank. My first tour with Paris by Mouth was 7 years ago. Both were excellent tours. My tour guide Marion was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about French cuisine having worked in the food and hospitality industry herself for many years. We tasted the best Paris had to offer in terms of bread, cheese, pastry, chocolate, and wine. This is a tour for real foodies as many of the other individuals on our tour were either chefs or food writers back in their home countries. Can’t recommend this group enough. I am already looking forward to the next time I get to enjoy another Paris by Mouth tour. — Fantastic! Our guide Deniz was awesome! The pace of the tour was great. The variety of foods was great. Deniz’s knowledge of all the foods was incredible. Just an overall great experience! — Loved Diane’s Tour experience! Diane was awesome!! We had an amazing experience filled of delicious food, education and personalized attention. Would recommend!! — Paris Food Tour with Marion This was a fabulous tour! Marion our guide was well versed in wines, cheese, chocolates and sweet treats. She is very personable and obviously loves what she does. I would highly recommend this tour in the St Germain area of Paris. — North Marais Food Tour We took the North Marais Food Tour as part of our trip to Paris in early October. Our tour guide was Marion. Marion was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide who provided an exceptional amount of insight on the some of foods of France (baguette, croissant, chocolates, sausage & pate). After visiting a number of shops our tour ended at a Marais Wine cellar where our group was able to enjoy a selection of different wines along with items picked up along the way from the various shops that we had visited. While we we did other tours during our stay, this one was the best. Based on our experience, I would recommend any of the tours being offered by the Paris by Mouth company and if Marion is representative of the guides, you will definitely be taken care of. — Fabulous Food Tour Fabulous food tour guides by Isabelle. Highly recommend. Extremely knowledgeable and very enjoyable. She made the tour fun and enjoyable. — Extrordinary Day in the Marais! Our guide, Neil was superb! Such a delightful & informative morning filled with delicious foods & wine. Definitely, a must when visiting Paris. MERCI! — Left Bank Tour We did the Left Bank Food Tour with Aurelien as our host. It was absolutely one of our favorite parts of our trip! He was very knowledgeable and engaging, not only about food and wine, but historical sights and points of interest we walked past. My senior parents were treated with great care, as they can’t walk as fast as some of the group…they’re in great shape, but were well taken care of throughout the tour, without being made to feel as if they were holding the tour back. We would definitely do this tour again, as well as try some other Paris By Mouth tours. If you’re planning a trip, I highly recommend subscribing to their emails for tips on great reatsurants, as well! I went with my sister and our parents, no young children…but family with young children or with teens is the only option closest to my experience and the review forces a choice. I do think teens that are intereated in food would enjoy it. Not sure if young children would do that well… — A Must-Do in Paris Paris by Mouth never disappoints. They know Paris food and purveyors. Stephen was a fantastic guide. His background in history and food is very impressive – especially chocolate and cheese! This is a must do in Paris. Worth every penny! — North Marais Tour This was a fabulous way to spend a few hours being educated, having fun & being fed extremely well. Being part of a small group makes it much more enjoyable & Andres was warm, inclusive of us all & overflowing with information. — Paris by Mouth is a blast Super fun tour last week in North Marais with Marion. Such a perfect combo of information and learning and delicious yummy food and wine – we had the best time. Marion is super upbeat, perfect English, really fun and funny. — A Paris Highlight This was our second time doing a tour with Paris By Mouth, and it was even better than the first time. The South Marais tour with Diane was excellent! Diane’s food background gave us some great insight to our food and wine tastings. We loved it, and we’ll definitely do another tour the next time we’re in Paris. — A lovely introduction to Paris We thought Diane was delightful and the tour was well paced and comprehensive. We would recommend Paris by Mouth as an accompaniment to any Paris visit. — Sensuous food and drink —tastebud explosion—with Stephen, a superb guide! We had such an extraordinary experience in France and Stephen of Paris by Mouth was a big part of it!

Merci beaucoup for the wonderful ways Stephen gathered us and educated us and uplifted us and yes, treated us to exceptional French food. “The trinity of the table!” Ouais—-cheese, wine, bread. Plus ice cream, pastry and chocolate!

Stephen’s laid-back, friendly style plus enormously qualified background made for such a fun and relaxing way to experience the heart of France, its food, its protected elements. There was a reverence about it that has stayed with me, thanks to Stephen.

Experiencing all of this with people from around the world, plus our very dear friends Steph and Tom from Cape Cod, made for the ultimate high. And breaking bread and toasting in an ancient wine cellar? Over-the-top!

What a gift the email of resources Stephen sent each of us after our tour! Now we can look for these fine cheeses and wines and continue the French tradition here in Virginia and for Steph and Tom, in Massachusetts.

When in Paris, you must do Paris By Mouth! Make reservations well in advance so you get a slot. Groups are limited to eight. There are a number of different tours. We did the one in Marais. I’m sure they’re all spectacular! — Paris by Mouth = best part of my trip! On a week-long girls trip to Paris, escaping the normal day-to-day of work life, mom life, all that…. Paris By Mouth was *easily* the highlight of an already amazing trip. We did the South Marais tour with Stephanie. Our group was really fun and cohesive, the places we visited to were top notch (and have the stats to back them up), and Stephanie was sooooo knowledgeable and engaging. What a true gem! I would recommend this to anyone who is visiting France and is interested in food and local culture. — Super Special Paris Food Experience! Had an amazing experience with Diane on the South Marais Paris Food tour. Diane was so knowledgable about Paris and about food. I learned a ton, ate amazingly delicious food, drank fabulous wine, and had an incredibly special and fun experience. Highly recommend! — 11 stars out of 10 Diane was such a great tour guide – very informational while still being fun! We got a little bit of everything, and you could really tell she knew her stuff. The food was amazing, and the pace was set wonderfully. We walked around the Left Bank, listening as Diane pointed out interesting historical tidbits, and other places that might interest us based on what she had gathered. It was a very easy, free-flowing group, and I would highly recommend it to anyone still questioning! Taking a food tour in Paris is unparalleled. — Fun and Educational! This tour was recommend by some friends and SO worth it! We had Diane for the left bank tour. She was really an incredible guide and led us on a culinary experience. Not only was the food incredible but we learned so much. This will make us better travels next time we come to Paris. A MUST for anyone coming traveling through Paris! — North Marais Food extravaganza! As a travel advisor I have been sending clients on tours with PBM for the last 7 years…as a traveler I could not wait to go on MY first tour! The North Marais tour was delicious and informative. Diane not only told us about the food but the culture of French food—-just because you sell bread doesn’t make you a boulangerie. You’ll learn that and more:) Merci Diane for your warmth & expertise. I can’t wait to do another tour!! — Great introduction to the flavors of Paris! I was gifted a tour for my birthday and couldn’t wait for the experience. It was nice to have the option of neighborhood and even meat/no meat tours. Our East Saint Germain tour was led by Diane who was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the neighborhood and the food items we saw along the way. The timing and flow of the tour worked for all of us – stops at stores were enough to learn and buy, and the walking between stops was not difficult or long. I liked the format of Diane buying items along the way, then sitting around a table to taste and discuss at the end. I highly recommend a Paris by Mouth tour for an introduction to Paris and the flavors that are unique to France. Diane is a fantastic guide and I would sign up for her tour again! — Interesting and Fun We had a very enjoyable time with guide Marion. She was delightful and knowledgeable. We learned a lot and shared many laughs with our group. The food and wine was delicious. —

Five-Star Reviews left on TRIP ADVISOR in October 2022: — Why you come to Paris to eat Our second food tour with this company. Excellent! We loved the North Marais food tour we took with Melanie 3 years ago, and we loved our West Saint Germain food tour this week. Stephen was very knowledgeable and charming, and we tasted the best Paris has to offer in baked goods, pastry, cheese, meat, chocolate and even champagne. We were so full after our 10:30 tour and leisurely tasting, that we skipped supper that night. Then returned to the shops the next day to sample some more! Other food tours do not compare in quality and expertise of guides. Yes, it is expensive but you eat what you paid for 🙂 — Enjoy the best of Paris food shops in 3 hours The Paris Left Bank food tour was a great experience for anyone who wants to learn about (and sample) authentic high quality French offerings. Our group was led by Diane R who gave us a lot of background on each shop, food items sourcing, how they are made, even etiquette during the shop visits! She followed up by sending a detailed email with names of the 5 shops, names and contents of the 7 cheeses in case we wanted to return on our own. The tour included samples of chocolates and ended with 3 bottles of wine shared in front of the shop. Diane did behind the scenes work to purchase some items ahead of the tour in order to fit this into a 3-hour tour length. All participants were fully satisfied by the quantity and quality of food. We kept talking about it for several days afterward. Also the tours are easy to fit into your schedule and can be booked on a weekend. If we get a chance to visit again it would be fun to take one of the other Paris by Mouth tours to see more of Paris! — Dizzyingly delicious and fun with the effervescent Marion This was a beautiful experience for me, a cheese and chocolate LOVER from Portland Oregon and brand new to France. Marion was a perfect guide, effervescent with energy and generous with her knowledge and love for the finest foods in Paris. She is adorably enthusiastic and very experienced for her age. The tastes are still fresh in my memory because they were among the most heady and dizzyingly wonderful flavors I’ve experienced in my life. WELL WORTH the price and only 3 hours long. — The best food tour I’ve taken–EVER!! Our food tour of the North Marais district of Paris was the highlight of our two weeks in Europe. Our guide, Aurelien, was not only knowledgeable but entertaining. If I could have booked this tour twice while in Paris, I would have. Highly recommended. — Your best bet for a Paris food tour! Amber is a joy to experience Paris food with. She visited the #1 Boulangerie in Paris (won the awards and supplier to Macron). We learned about croissants, baguettes and more…but the tastings incredible! Moves on to the most impressive chocolatier…just do it.

But the fun really started after visiting the charcuterie and cheese shops. All of them were at the top of their trades. She then sat us down in a special wine shop to put the bread, cheeses and charcuterie together with wine. The food was great, but Amber makes it all come alive. Don’t miss one of these tours when in Paris! — Stroll the Marais with your most knowledgeable culinary friend! Wonderful! Andre was a fantastic guide for our North Marais tour. It felt like a (very knowledgeable) friend was sharing their favorite neighborhood spots, all while providing a richness of history and context to the incredible food we enjoyed. Do this early in your trip so you can return to your favorite places throughout your stay. — Stephen is a real expert and fun! Had the food and wine tour with Stephen a week ago. It was sooo worth it. He has a great style to explain what we were shopping for, the difference in the types of bread, cheese, meat, wine and pastries. It was the perfect amount of time and food and wine tasting. Would highly recommend to anyone (who can drink wine of course). Andy – Chicago IL — Wonderful Experience! Delightful tour! My family group of 8 recently took the Left Bank tour with Deniz and thoroughly enjoyed it. Deniz was informative, witty, and fun and tailored the tour to our interests. We learned so much and used the information when selecting food for the rest of our trip. Highly recommended! — Foodie’s delight along the left bank Truly the highlight of our trip to Paris. We did the left bank tour lead by Marion in mid September and we were astounded by how knowledgable she was about all the different shops that we stopped by. She had infectious energy, and it didn’t hurt that every bite that we had seemed better than the last! Will be recommending Paris by Mouth and Marion to all of my friends heading to Paris. — To see the city’s food scene up close PBM and Jennifer are excellent. Jennifer is the queen of cheese and a host of other things including wine chocolate and bread. We did her tour 2 days in a row last week and while we covered some of the same topics in 2 different parts of the city she was very fun and knowledgeable. And we ate and drank some great items. Highly recommend the tour. — Delicious tour in North Marais We had such a fun and delicious tour with Marie in North Marais. She was is knowledgeable and helped us gain a greater appreciation for the beautiful food culture of Paris. Great to do on your first day in Paris so you can use the tips throughout your trip. — We learned so much! More than worth the money, this walking tour of E. St. Germain was a highlight of our 3 weeks in Paris. Neil kept us informed and interested the entire afternoon and evening. So much attention to detail at each stop along the way made us feel competent to shop on our own. — The best Parisian Food tour! Paris by mouth came recommended from a coworker who recently had the pleasure of doing one of the food tours and I must say I am very glad I took her recommendation! Marion was a wonderful tour guide who was very knowledgeable and very passionate about all things food! She made this tour of 8 strangers a fun and exciting experience that I wouldn’t hesitate to do again ( in another neighborhood). If you want a food tour that covers all the essentials of eating like a Parisian then look no further! — 10/10 recommend this tour and our guide Isabelle! WOW! So glad we did this on our first day in Paris, as it gave us an appreciation for how rich and complex Paris’s food heritage is.

We were blown away by our guide Isabelle. She has mind-boggling depth-of-expertise in everything – cheese, wine, pastries, you name it. Her passion for food is energizing and made the tour a TON of fun. She is also so sweet and welcoming – cannot say enough positive things about Isabelle. — A superb experience! Marion was a fantastic tour guide! She was smart, fun, knowledgeable and personable. The cheeses were amazing, the wine just superb and the fine desserts were amazing!! Finally, ending the tour in the historic wine cave was just spectacular!! I would recommend Marion to anyone coming to Paris who wants to really learn about wine, cheese and fine desserts. Fantastic afternoon!!! — Terrific exclusive experience! Neil is a fantastic guide! He really created a sense of fun mixed with history and great food. Our group was a mix of ages and nationalities but we came together for cheese…and chocolate…and wine! — High praise for an awesome tour I take this tour every time I come to Paris because I always learn something new and find wonderful new food places. This visit was no exception. Our guide, Marion, was amazingly friendly, energetic, enthusiastic, and very attentive to our wishes. She picked excellent places and made excellent choices for our tasting. Delicious bread, cheese, pastries from two shops, chocolates, etc. made for a yummy trip. We ended with a wonderful wine tasting in a beautiful, authentic wine cave in one of the oldest parts of the city. I sing high praises for this tour which is always a revelation and a real treat! — Fantastic experience I loved the St Germain tour with Stephen so much that I had to book a second tour, last minute, in the Marais with Stephanie! The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. I learned so much about French food and wine, and got to taste fantastic examples of cheese, desserts, and wine. I highly recommend Paris By Mouth and would have taken more tours if I had the opportunity. — Yum and fun Isabel was a delightful guide and an utterly enjoyable person. We had a relaxed pace at bakery, chocolate shop, meat market, cheese store as well as the wine store where we paired the purchases with whites and reds. Just the right blend of information and discovery, walking and talking and enjoying. Food quality was fantastic and Isabel let us make some of the choices. Totally recommend — Informative and Delicious Food Tour in South Marais Out of the two weeks I’ve spent in France this has to be the best highlight. Quick note before I begin, be ready to walk (nothing extreme but just have good shoes as you will cover a lot of ground). I went on the South Marais tour with Neil. He was ready on time and remembered I had mentioned a peanut allergy and helped me navigate this through each location. After getting our small and manageable group introduced we hit the ground running! It felt like we did it all: cheese tasting, wine tasting, cheese store, chocolate shop, dessert shop, bakery, and more! Neil was an excellent guide; he was knowledgeable and funny and shared so much information. This tour was everything it promised and more, it’s worth every penny. I’ll be joining you guys again when I return to Paris. — South Marais tour – first class We experienced the South Marais tour today with Aurelien and Denise, it was fabulous, Aurelien was an amazing guide, his knowledge was awesome, and we learnt so much about food, wine, history all weaved into one fascinating fabric. His choice of wine and cheese and the pair was flawless. We highly recommend this tour. We are doing the Saint-Germain one in the next few days and are excited about it. This is the best way to learn and experience the gastronomy of the area along with history. — Just lovely, on so many levels! We try to experience a food tour in every city we visit… you learn the neighborhood, culture, and culinary customs/delights! This is the second tour that we’ve booked with Paris by Mouth and both were outstanding! Marion as well as Isabelle were passionate about the food and their city…And their knowledge base and personalities were amazing, sooooooo much fun! — A must do!! If I could give this tour more stars I would! I was afraid it would be boring and tourist, it was anything but. With only six people the tour was easily managed. Guide Marion was personable and incredibly knowledgeable We learned a lot, and went to places we would never have been to. Will absolutely do it again when in Paris. — East St. Germain food tour — just great in every way We generally shy away from guided tours and sightseeing, preferring instead to stroll about at our own pace and stop when we see something interesting. But this tour was so well reviewed that we thought we would give it a shot and I’m very glad we did! Isabelle, our tour guide, was immediately so friendly and personable and knowledgeable without being commanding at all. It felt like she had the latitude to make choices about what to buy and share with us, depending on what looked best that day and what was special, and I loved that personal touch. The small group size is really smart; we ended up having great side conversations with everyone in our diverse group and it was one of the best aspects of the tour. Every stop was a gem. — Outstanding In Paris with my wife for a week, celebrating our 50th anniversary. The Paris by Mouth tasting tour in East Saint-Germain was a real highlight of our trip, exceeding already-high expectations. Stephen was superb, providing interesting insights into not only bread, pastries, wine and chocolate that we tasted at wonderful establishments, but also the uniqueness of France. The highlight was sitting at a table in a small wine shop sampling various cheeses and wines. With 4 couples, the group was not too large or small, and it was fun for us to interact with each other as well as with Stephen. Great experience! — Go on this tour Stephanie was so great! It was such a fun tour. Very informative and the wine @the end was the best! — Great time, great knowledge, great food in the Marais Today we did the South Marais Food Tour that focused on wine, cheese, bread and pastries. Check, check and check! Our guide, Marion, was friendly, warm, patient with my mediocre French, fluent in English, and very, very knowledgeable. I mean, she had a deep understanding of how to choose cheese, tricks for pairing wine and cheese, explaining regional differences across France, and even recommending a few places to try that we didn’t visit.

We went to a delicious chocalatier, a cheese monger, a bakery, an absolutely decadent pastry shop and finished in a wine cave. I enjoyed our last PBM food tour a few years ago and this far exceeded that. We went with my in laws (in their early 70s) and Marion was excellent in making everyone feel welcome and part of the experience. We walked a bit, but the last hour was mostly seated and a relaxed education in the wine cave.

If I had a chance, I’d book another tour with her on this trip it was that good. We do these at least once per vacation and I’d put this at the top of my list. Marion was just perfect. Wonderful time. — A wonderful foodie walk! My husband and I did a tour of the North Marais. Our guide was Andres and he was wonderful, very informative and responsive to the needs of everyone in our group. We loved every stop on the tour which included a local boulangerie, chocolatier, charcuterie, fromagerie and wine store. A highlight was the the Marché des Enfants Rouges, which we spent more time enjoying after our tour. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in exploring this beautiful area of Paris, loves a short walk, and wants to learn about some of the delicious Parisian food. — Great tour! Left us smarter and full of great food and excitement about the Marais district of Paris. Very impressed with the great delivery of knowledge, guidance and enthusiasm from our guide Stephanie!!!! — Thoroughly enjoyable tour We spent several days in Paris and booked a Paris by Mouth tour at the recommendation of a family member who had taken a tour. We took a number of tours while in Paris and this was by far the highlight of the trip. Aurélien was our guide and was informative, engaging and enjoyable to spend time with. The stops we made and the food we learned about and tasted were all amazing. I’d highly recommend the trip for anyone looking for a great way to immerse yourself in a Paris experience. — Absolutely wonderful! Marion was wonderful! This tour is a must do when in Paris! We enjoyed wandering the streets and learning about some of the best Parisian food! Marion is very knowledgable, personable and a genuine joy to spend the day with! We did the south Marais tour and loved it! I can say enough good things about this tour! — An intimate exposure to the role of food in Paris culture. This is a fantastic way to get an insight into the importance of food in the Paris’ psyche and also a lovely way to see parts of the city you might not otherwise experience. Andres is a perfect guide/host, he is tailor made for this role and has intimate knowledge of the subject matter, possesses a wonderful and gentle disposition, a great command of the English language and is genuinely warm in his approach. We will do this exercise with friends when we attend for the Rugby World Cup next year and will definitely ask for Andres to be out host again. — Fantastic Tour; Worth Every Penny What can I say except WOW! Neil showed us the goods and gave us the lowdown of the South Marias. Not too many people within the tour and we learned so much. Neil was personable, highly engaging and very funny. I couldn’t believe how intimate the wine and cheese tasting was. Just take the tour. It’s great. — North Marais with Diane – Fantastic Tour! While this wasn’t my first time to France, it was my first time to Paris and taking a Paris by Mouth tour was an absolutely fantastic experience! The small group size (our group was 5!) makes for a really intimate tour where the guide can really cater the experience to your particular group. — We opted for the North Marais tour, and our group was led by Diane who was stellar! Diane mentioned growing up in an area near where some of us in the group were from, in addition to the North Marais area being the area in which she lived, so the tour really felt like having a very casual stroll about the area with an old friend who also happened to be a food expert! Diane really took the time to discuss the cultural significance in the preparation of certain foods, the history behind awards, and the best way to order cuts of cheeses and meats so that we would have the ability and confidence to order from other shops during our trip. And! At the end of our trip Diane sent us all an email recapping every place we had visited, and everything we had ordered to snack on, because after that wine there was no way I was going to remember! 🙂 I highly recommend not only taking a food tour with Paris by Mouth, but the North Marais tour with Diane specifically! You won’t regret it and you’ll have a wonderful P.S. skip the Munster cheese. It stinks! 😉 — Taste of the Left Bank with Neil. We did the Taste of the Left Bank tour with Neil. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour from tasting awarding winning croissants, cheese and chocolates to the history of the St. Germain neighborhood. Neil was a great tour guide. He was funny, knowledgable and very engaging. We loved that our group size was only 8 people. Ending the tour in a small wine shop “cave/cellar” for our wine pairing and cheese tasting was the perfect ending. — A must-do on your next Paris vacation! Our Paris food tour in the North Marais neighborhood, given by Andres, was exceptional! The food was outstanding and Andres is a gem! His knowledge of cheese, bread, wine and chocolate boggles the mind. And the food- wow! Croissants, charcuteries, pastry, wine, cheese. Thank you Andres for making our Paris trip so memorable! — What a delight! What a fabulous afternoon. Marion blew our minds and taste buds with the most excellent tour of the Marais. We enjoyed every bite and morsel of delicious food and stimulating information. After shopping in the neighborhood the wine cave was the perfect place to take it all in. A treat and a delight! — Terrific food tour in St. Germain Our food tour in the St. Germain area was a pure delight. Neil was personable, knowledgeable, and interesting. He was well-prepared and planned, so when one of the shops had posted a sign announcing an unscheduled closure on our afternoon, Neil barely blinked and led us to another chocolatier down the block. The “substitute” shop was so amazing and interesting, it was hard to believe the original could have been better. Neil did a great job creating an inclusive atmosphere during our 3+ hours, so we got to know one another a little. So, our sit-down tasting at the end was a comfortable time with friendly acquaintances. Neil followed up almost right away with a summary of where we had gone, and information about each of the cheeses and wines we had had. Well worth the time and money! — Food Tour-Exceeded Expectation! My wife and I took the left bank tour expecting samples of “this is what you eat in Paris” but it was so much more. Marion was our guide and she was perfect-just the right mix of fun and lightheartedness as well as knowledge and in-depth learning. We walked away knowing what stores to look for, what foods to seek and how to hold and intelligent conversation with the store. Thanks to Marion we started as my wife, myself and six strangers and ended up nine friends. I can’t say enough. We hope to be back next year — Taste of the Left Bank with Deniz My friends and I joined the left bank tour with Deniz and it was absolutely amazing. She is not only knowledgeable on food but also on wine and champagne. We really enjoyed our time with Deniz learning, tasting, laughing and enjoying each others company. This tour is a must do while in Paris. — Great experience, totally worth it especially if you love cheese Neil did an awesome job! We booked a cheese tour as a gift as it was my birthday. We both love cheese but did not go on a food tour before. Our expectations were exceeded as Neil presented us the neighbourhood with all sorts of interesting historical (food related) facts while leading us to the various stores picked by him. We went for cheese of course, then for chocolate, boulangerie, patiserie and wine bar. The wine bar was the last stop where we ate most of the things bought by Neil and of course paired with the wines. We had 7 cheeses, 3 wines (champagne , white, red), traditional baguette and dessert. It was a real treat! Neil walked us through all the cheeses and wine while also discussing other type of cheeses and their regions.

If you are a cheese lover (like me), you will love his tour. Furthermore, we asked for additional restaurant ideas based on what we wanted to eat. After we parted ways, we received a comprehensive list of restaurants which cover the food we asked for. I was expecting to get something automatic, but Neil went through and filtered the places to match our needs, which i am sure took some more time.

On top of this, without realising, we stayed with Neil significantly longer than we should have. We were also fortunate enough to have met amazing people during this tour and the time just flew by. We had such a great time and we hope Neil won’t be too mad at us :). Given we received the mail with his recommendations AFTER we parted ways, i think he was ok with it. Big thanks Neil! Will surely book another tour the next time i’m in Paris (most likely, next year around this time :). Again, many thanks for an awesome experience! — Fun and educational and YUMMY! Marion was the perfect tour guide! Our group had so much fun thanks you Marion! We learned so much about not only the foods we tasted but also about Paris in general and the wines of France! Marion really makes this tour special. She is fun, witty, and has incredibly vast knowledge regarding all aspects of cheese, wine, and food in general. Thank you, Marion for a wonderful experience!!!! — Great “Paris by Mouth” food tour. Our Taste of the Left Bank Paris by Mouth food tour was fabulous! Our guide Aurelien Laban was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and informative. We could not have had a better tour. Will definitely book another tour when back in Paris. — Interesting and fun We had a very enjoyable time with guide Marion. She was delightful and knowledgeable. We learned a lot and shared many laughs with our group. The food and wine was delicious. — Taste of St. Germaine Food & Wine Tour – WONDERFUL My friend and I joined a tour with Stephen and we thoroughly enjoyed! He was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed every stop! — Only straight croissants! A friend and i took the Left Bank tour with our guide Diane in September. She was so much fun, and so informative. I had no idea that curved croissants are not made with butter! We started with REAL croissants (yum) and finished with wine and cheese pairings, learning about cheese, wheat, artisanal chocolates and pastries as we strolled through the 5th and 6th on a gorgeous late summer day. Diane was a wonderful companion for this tour, as she so obviously enjoyed her work. — Fun tour! Totally enjoyed our time during the Left Bank Food Tour with Deniz. It was informative, fun and we tasted a variety of delicious food and drink.

Five-Star Reviews left on TRIP ADVISOR in September 2022: — Left Bank Food & Wine Tour Our guide, Marion, was wonderful!!! We tried croissants, baguettes, macarons, chocolates, and ended up at a wine room where we tried 6 cheeses, 3 wines and pastries!!! It was a great way to discover the area with a wonderful group of people! Marion taught us so much about the cheeses and wine. I would highly recommend this tour!!! — Wonderful & Educational! My husband and I took the North Marais walking tour with three other couples. Our tour guide was Aurelian. He conducted a perfectly delightful and informative tour. He was very well prepared and we found him quite knowledgeable. And he emailed us a detailed list of the various wines, cheeses, meats, etc. we had sampled on our tour, which we will be referring to in the future – which we considered “above and beyond.” We returned to the chocolatier and purchased chocolates to take to our family on our return to the US. We highly recommend this tour. If you are lucky, Aurelian will be your guide! — Great way to see and experience Paris This food tour was excellent. We strolled through the Marais area and saw cheese, wine and chocolate shops. We ended the tour with a tasting in a very cool wine cellar. Our tour guide, Diane, was the best. Would definitely do this tour again. — Loved St Germaine Tour! Wonderful tour of the St Germaine food scene with Marion!!! Our small group size (8) was perfect. Marion was a wealth of knowledge and we learned so many interesting facts about cheese, breads, wine and pastries. We did our tour on our first afternoon in Paris, what a delicious introduction to a beautiful city. — A top highlight of my week in Paris! This was an absolute highlight of my time in Paris! I gained such an appreciation for how and why the French food and wine is so unique and amazing, all while getting a great walking tour of the Latin Quarter. Aurelian was a fantastic guide – so knowledgeable and so nice! Our small group bonded, and by the end of the tour we felt like old friends (enjoying our wine and cheese and chocolate feast in the wine cellar!). Such a great experience! I highly recommend! — Great adventure We took a tour with Neil, he was fabulous. We went to the oldest bakery, which was delicious. A pastry shop and chocolate shop, both with great history and tastings. We ended the afternoon with wonderful cheeses paired with wine. Neil provided great info and was a super fun guide! I highly recommend this tour with him. — Must do in Paris. Great tour, perfect guide and unforgettable experience. Everything was very well planned & organized. Our guide Marion was amazing, extremely interesting way to convey the information. We can’t wait to come back & try another tour. — Enchanting experience. Stephanie has the food and wine knowledge for making our tour by mouth an experience to remember. The cave where we had the “degustation”was the perfect setting! Merci! — Highly recommend and definitely bring your appetite! We went on the food tour in Le Marais, and it was so much fun. Tried to book for one of our first days, but it was full. Glad we got in part way through, because we received so many great suggestions and recommendations for the rest of our stay in Paris. The tour was great fun, the guide was personable, knowledgeable, and interesting. The chocolates, Les pain, Les fromages…. such great choices. Really worthwhile, highly recommend. Definitely our favorite day in Paris! — Exceeded Expectations My husband and I did the cheese and wine tasting with Jennifer. There were three other people. We spent about 30 minutes in a fancy cheese store then did the tasting in a historic home. Jennifer was very knowledgeable and engaging. We had 10 cheeses and three wines with artisan bread. We couldn’t believe how 3 hours flew by and we were full until late that night. Would highly recommend for anyone who is intimidated by selecting cheese – she makes it easy to understand how to experiment. — The very best in food tours These people hardly need another five star review, but I’m trying to relax after blowing out my calves at the Louvre and Musée D’Orsay yesterday (17 miles!) so another five star review is what they’re getting.

I did a small group tour of the Left Bank with an extremely knowledgable guide who showed us the BEST of everything per national awards: the best croissant, the best cheesemonger, the best chocolate, etc. The bounty was predictably delicious (I had a bleu cheese that quite honestly rocked my world) but the highlight of the experience was the guide’s obvious passion for food and wine. Every cheese we ate received a 25 minute commentary about flavor profile, method of production, region, history, and even etiquette. This could have easily become boring, but the guide’s sense of humor and downright poetic descriptions of everything were nearly as succulent as the food itself. Along the way there were some good-natured digs at American cheese and consumer culture, too, if you prefer your food tours with a just a hint of sauciness.

In addition, the Paris by Mouth website is indispensable for English-speaking visitors who don’t know their way around.

BOOK IT! — Delicious food with knowledgeable guide. We did the South Marais tour led by Diane. Diane was amazingly knowledgeable and clearly had a strong background in food. South Marais was a wonderful little area with delicious food, beautiful buildings and interesting history. I especially appreciated how often we were fed throughout the tour. I highly recommend this tour, along with Diane as your tour guide. If/when I come back to Paris, I will 100% be doing another tour with Paris by Mouth. — Left Bank Tour My wife and I did the Left Bank tour yesterday with Marion. While the bread, cheese, chocolate and wine were delicious, Marion’s informative and entertaining explanations made the tour special. She was also very patient with my French, merci. These tours are a nice introduction to each neighborhood. It’s also nice to meet fellow travelers and hear their stories and tips for enjoying Paris. I’d highly recommend them. — Amazing tour and guide. Definitely book with Paris by Mouth! The tour was fabulous! Neil, our guide had amazing knowledge of the location (St Germain), the food and the local sights. We visited an excellent boulangerie, pâtisserie, chocolatier and marché couvert for cheese and wine at the end which we sat down as ate as a group as Neil explained every step of the way what the cheese and wine were, where from etc. Very fun, very interactive and Neil was just brilliant. Do not hesitate to book…highly recommend!!! — Wonderful tour of the Marais and the foods it offers We had an absolutely stellar tour of the Marais and the foods it offers. Diane, our guide, was over the top good. The group was limited to six which made it very convivial. Many thanks Paris by Mouth for that wonderful tour and for all the good advice we got by subscribing to the newsletter and corresponding by email. Highly recommended. — Fun Food Tour! My fiancee and I had a great time on the PBM tour. Out guide Neil was super knowledgeable not just on food but French culture as well, and did a great job making the tour fun and welcoming for all! I would strongly recommended this activity for all foodies especially those who are just arriving in Paris. — Educational and Charming From start to finish this was enjoyable & fun. We met Jennifer at a small cafe where she brought us all together in spite of not knowing one another! We sampled croissants, baguettes, chocolates, carmels, wine and cheese. Her depth of knowledge was extensive & the quality of the items exceptional. The end was sitting around a table together sampling wine & cheese-you couldn’t have asked for a more Parisian experience!!! Thank you Jennifer — A Must-Do in Paris! Absolutely wonderful tour of the Left Bank with Marion. She is so knowledgeable and we absolutely LOVED all of the pastries, wine, cheese and chocolate. A real highlight of our trip! — Make this the 1st thing you do We did the Left Bank tour with Neil and had a wonderful time. He was genuinely interested in learning where we were from and where we were staying so he could give us restaurant recommendations in our area. We got to sample a variety of foods from award winning locations, and Neil helped people with ordering if they wanted to make purchases. Paris immediately felt more like home after getting to talk with other friendly visitors and gain inside knowledge of the city. The tour price was worth it alone just for Neil’s restaurant recommendations. Wow! If experiencing the food in Paris is on your list of things to do, start here! — Yummmmmm! Our tour guide, Diane, was so knowledgeable but not too professorial. She knew exactly how much information to give us, answered our questions thoughtfully and sparked more curiosity and love for the food. — Fabulous tour! Marion was our wonderful tour guide for the Left Bank tour. We were a group of eight. Her knowledge of the intricacies of wine, cheese, and bread was excellent. We highly recommend a Paris by Mouth tour to anyone visiting Paris and to make it special, request Marion. — Fabulous Experience! Wow! This is a must in Paris. Marion was our guide and was engaging, fun and wildly informative. She took the time to teach our small group of 8 all about the best of the best cuisine in Paris.

The food she had presented to us was top notch and the wine pairings were perfect. She even found a wine I would never have turned to before that I loved so much that I bought a bottle.

Thanks Marion for the unforgettable afternoon! It was a true delight.

Oh, and she made my 81 year old mother on the tour feel like a queen with how she interacted with her. ?? — Great guide Our guide Deniz was very knowledgeable and generous with her time and experience. As people who generally would never join a tour, we loved the small group experience and felt very welcomed. We’d highly recommend! — AMAZING Tour Andres was a FABULOUS tour guide. He gave us so a truly fascinating education about the food and culture surrounding it, and so much information on how it is created and sourced. And the food!! It was DELICIOUS. I was so full after the tour that I didn’t need dinner!! I’ve already decided that I want to stay in North Marais next time I visit, just so I can return to the spots Andres showed us. HIGHLY recommend this tour, and Andres in particular!! — Best food tour in Paris! Fantastic tour! Emily, our guide, was wonderful – incredibly knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions, whether they had to do with food or not! We not only got to sample a variety of great foods, but Emily was able to give us the background on everything we ate, as well as provide us with some history of the area. The follow-up email was very helpful, including a description of everything we had tasted, the shops we had visited, as well as an extensive list of Emily’s favourite restaurants in the area. Not only that, Emily went above and beyond helping me with something the following day, after our tour. Highly recommended! — A must-do for any foodies My husband and I went on the 3:30pm Left Bank Food Tour with Marion and had a fabulous experience. Marion was the perfect tour guide- extremely knowledgable, energetic and passionate and which made the experience so much fun. We were in a small group of 8 people which was the perfect size. The shops we toured and food we tasted were the highest possible quality which we now appreciate so much more.

I have done many food tours all over the world and this was right up there as one of the best. Even though I consider myself a foodie that is very familiar with French cuisine and have been to Paris many times, there was much to still enjoy and learn. Highly recommend.

(p.s. do not book a dinner reservation for after the tour- you will leave stuffed!) — A Must-Do when in Paris. Definitely worth doing this tour. It was fun to learn about the great food and wines and see some lovely shops we may not have seen otherwise. Our guide Neil was great- knowledgeable and fun. It was a great experience. Highly recommend this — Simply a don’t miss for any food and wine lover Amazing tour. Exceeded my expectations. Learned a lot about wine, cheese, baguettes, croissants, the French way! Marion was phenomenal. She made the tour. Friendly, informative, nice. Knew our names right away. Highly recommend this tour to anyone trying to learn more about how to eat like the French. Small intimate group, high-end food. Guide was incredibly knowledgeable. Well worth the money. — Learn the where and what to eat of Paris Our guide, Diane, was lovely. Very knowledgeable and fun to be on tour with. This is a great experience for getting to know Paris and where and what to eat. Don’t miss it! — Eat, drink and learn a few things as well! Our guide, Stephen, greeted all of us warmly and shared so many interesting stories all while painlessly teaching us about the intricacies of bread, cheeses, charcuterie and chocolate as we strolled around the 7th arrondissement. The group was small (8), which made it easy to converse and hear all the important information Stephen shared. We ate our products acquired throughout our stroll accompanied by some wines selected by Stephen. This is a highly enjoyable activity, and also one which imparts some important information about some essential French foods and how the country supports and protects its production. — First Food Tour This was our first food tour and we had a great experience. My wife and I love Paris and have traveled here many times, but saw lovely parts of the city on the tour that we had never visited before. Jennifer and Meg were gracious hosts with a wealth of information and they introduced us to some incredible cheese, bread and chocolate. The tour ended with a tasting in the perfect setting paired with some nice wine and interesting conversation. Prior to meeting Meg and Jennifer, we thought ourselves as relatively knowledgeable of baguettes and French cheese, but they showed us a whole new level. Highly recommend Paris by Mouth! — Outstanding Charcuterie, Cheese, Bread & Chocolate Experience Our small group tour guide was Stephen. He trained as a chef for two years in Ireland before moving to Paris to work in restaurants for a number of years. He’s also a certified chocolate taster (more to this than one might think) and a font of knowledge related to the foods we tasted and their history. As a “foodie” who makes sausage and breads at home, his explanations made this a tremendous tour for me. We had five charcuterie samples, five different varieties of cheese, and outstanding banquettes. I highly recommend this tour and would definitely encourage you to request a tour with Stephen. — Perfect intro to Paris Andres was AMAZING! So much info to share…we loved his attention to fresh locally sourced ingredients. We enjoyed touring the Marais and learning about the icons of the neighborhood. The portions of croissants, breads, meats cheeses, and wines were extremely generous (we all left stuffed). Highly recommend!!!!! — Fantastic! I did the tour in West St Germaine with Diane and it was fabulous. Diane is knowledgeable and friendly. The variety of food and wines were great. It was nice tasting a few things along the way. The tasting room at the end to enjoy our food and wine was great. I would highly recommend including this tour on your itinerary. — Fun Food and Wine Tour Wonderful experience! Our guide Diane was knowledgeable, kind and fun. We went to places we would have never have known to visit without going on the tour. The cheese selections were amazing. Highly recommend to anyone! — Informative and fun! Steven was incredibly knowledgeable about not only the current food scene, but history behind traditions a Highly recommended if you are inquisitive and enjoy a variety of aspects of the current food scene in Paris in the Marais. — A great experience I joined the Left Bank food tour – Neil was a great guide, he kept the group engaged all throughout and took us to some great shops for tasting. He also sent us an email afterwards with a summary of our tour, along with some additional recommendations.

I would strongly suggest doing this tour at the start of your visit to Paris, so that you have time to go back to your favorite places from the tour, or to visit all the other great restaurants/shops that your guide will recommend.

I was initially hesitant to join the tour because of the cost, but it was definitely worth it. If you’re even the slightest bit curious about the experience, please take my word for it and sign up. — Wonderful North Marais I joined the North Marais tour and was lucky enough to have Andrea as the guide. Andres was able to show us some amazing producers of the best in French food and explain to us why it was special. Bread, croissants, chocolates, meats and cheeses and more. A lovely communal feasting with wine allowed us all to ask questions and learn more from Andres. An absolute bonus is the familiarization with a Parisian neighborhood that I can go back to and explore more. Andres added to our knowledges of the area as we went, providing more local recommendations to make a really rich tour. Thank you Andres. — Definitely at must do! We had a lovely, delicious and very educational wine, cheese, pastry and chocolate tour with Marion. I would suggest doing it towards at the beginning of your visit to Paris, to add to your enjoyment of Paris! — Terrific! This was truly a highlight of our visit to Paris! Our guide was knowledgeable and explained everything in an interesting and sometimes humorous fashion. We enjoyed every moment! — Take this tour! Neal was a wonderful guide. Very personable, knowledgeable about culinary traditions and the histories of the businesses highlighted during the tour. It was fascinating and fun. Highly recommend for anyone interested in the delicious cheese, pastry and wine making arts. — Marion – food goddess We took the Latin Quarter food tour. This was our second P by M tour and it was even better than our first which I loved years ago. Our guide,Marion, was incredibly knowledgeable and fun as she took us from shop to shop introducing us to the shop keepers and their food. We visited award winning Cheese monger, bakery, chocolatier and pastry shop. We ended our tour at a wine shop where we ate our bread and cheese along with three bottles of wine. Limited to eight – the portions are generous and filling! Marion was great! — Left bank tour with Marion is a must!! The left bank tour was absolutely amazing all thanks to our guide Marion! She took us around the best of the best fromager, chocolatier and pâtissier all with mof awards (meilleur ouvrier de France!) highly recommend if you want to get the best taste of France with high quality products! A unique experience! — Incredible Left Bank Food Tour!! Going on this food tour was the best decision ever! It was the perfect way to kick off my first trip to Paris and I highly recommend this experience. Marion was our guide for this tour and her energy, knowledge, and passion for what she does made the entire experience absolutely enjoyable and memorable!

The tour was also well paced and interactive. Marion was very accommodating of our preferences and took the time to answer any questions we had about the places we visited, French fare and culture etc. Everything we had sampled on this tour was just top notch and we certainly came away from the tour feeling really satisfied and well-fed! — South Marais Delights with Stephanie We did the south Marais tour this morning with Stephanie. She was absolutely terrific, informative, welcoming, fun, engaging and knew everything about everything we tasted. Her selections were delicious and varied. We couldn’t be happier with this tour. — Delectable and delightful. What a most amazing 3 hours. Our tour guide, Diane, shared her 20 years of food writing knowledge and experiences with our small group by selecting breads, cheeses, chocolates and wine to delight our taste buds. She did this in the most affable manner. I learned more about these French favorites in this one day than I had in all my previous visits to the City of Light. And I also appreciated the various points of interest she shared with us as we meandered through the neighborhood. I can’t wait until my next visit to Paris to try another food journey with Paris by Mouth. — Goody tour in North Marais A wonderful experience. Andres did an amazing job of educating the group on why and how French good tastes so good. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. A very nice tour. — Excellent experience! I loved this tour! It was a small group – 11 of us and our chef-hostess, Isabelle Auzou. Isabelle was very friendly, knowledgeable, & had a great relationship with all of the vendors. Wonderful experience & tastings! Thank you so much to all! —

Reviews left on TRIP ADVISOR in August 2022: —- You MUST do one of these if you’re going to Paris! I am going to say that this should be at the VERY top of your list for Paris, and you should try to do it early in your stay so that you can take full advantage of the knowledge you’ll gain – not just about the very best patisseries/chocolateries/fromageries but also about the food itself! We had **such** an enjoyable afternoon today – we did a ‘left bank’ tour and had an amazing tour guide, Marion. The food was SO good, the information was SO interesting, and it was just so much fun – Marion was super friendly and helpful, and really made it such a positive experience even for our travel group which spans ages 9-71! I spent 9 months living in France during college and even for me, a lot of the information was new. Also, you could spend literally days trying to sort through reviews and articles to find the best food in Paris – this makes it really easy to know that you at least won’t miss some of the top highlights. I honestly cannot say enough about these tours. I will definitely do another one, of a different area, next time I’m in Paris and they will be the #1 thing I urge everyone else traveling to Paris to do. PS – if you do a 3:30 tour, you won’t need dinner that night. I recommend eating a light lunch around 12. —- Outstanding experience Stephanie gave a wonderful tour in the South Marais area of Paris. Stephanie is knowledgeable on the food topics, especially wine, so she is an excellent source of information as well as providing very enjoyable conversation. Highly recommend Stephanie for anyone interested in tasting some of the wonders of French food and wine in Paris. —- A taste of the Marais Marie was our guide from the North Bank Tour. We came away historically informed, with greater local knowledge and full belly’s! I would highly recommend this food tour and will hopefully be able to return for a second tour one day. —- Perfect way to sample the French trinity of food I took the Left Bank Food Tour. Our guide was Neil and he was superb. First stop a boulangerie. We had a croissant each but before the tasting lots of explanations about the art of bread and pastry making. Next the cheese shop, where we were filled with interesting facts. But hold one, where’s our cheese? We had to wait…next stop an amazing chocolate shop. We tried two orgasmical pieces of chocolate. We received a lot of info about chocolate making and this particular chocolatier. On the way to our wine tasting shop we were given more interesting facts about the area. And voila, at the wine shop the magic happened. We tasted 2 wines which were perfectly paired with the cheese from the cheese shop and some amazing baguettes du tradicion. We were talked through the specific cheeses and wines. And last, yet another stop at a patisserie. Neil was a great host and the tour was just perfect. Thanks to the Paris by Mouth team x —- The best experience you can book in Paris AMAZING. Incredible. The best activity/tour we’ve ever done!! Our host (Aurélien) was incredibly fun, easy going, and made so much effort to make sure the group felt relaxed and comfortable. In our Paris By Mouth group was a family, a solo traveller and a couple, so perfect for all ages and styles of travellers. The tour was also incredibly organised and ran very smoothly. He took us to all these hidden spots that we never would have found ourselves, while giving us an excellent breakdown of history – from culinary to cultural to landmarks. We are recommending this tour (and Aurélien to everyone). Book it now. Please! Thank you so much Aurélien!!!! Recommend going on an empty as you get to taste so many delicious things! —- An Enjoyable Afternoon in the Left Bank! We booked the Left Bank tour and our guide was Marion. She was very good! We visited several shops along the way – fromagerie, boulangerie, patisserie, & chocolatier. We got to sample a few chocolates, macarons and baguette along the way. It was an incredibly hot day so we didn’t spend as much time out walking about and sampling as might be done if weather was cooler. We took all the goodies that were bought back to a wine cellar where she paired up the food with several wines and we learned even more about the cheeses we sampled (6 in all). All of the food was very good – and it was filling. The wines that were chosen were very good and Marion told us about the various wine regions and what they are known for, etc. we had cheese, baguettes, croissants, and pastries with the wines. We enjoyed the chocolates & macarons while we visiting the stores. All in all – a wonderful day which all four of us enjoyed. One of the top things we did while in Paris! Would definitely book another tour if back in Paris! Thanks Marion for an enjoyable day! —- Incredible Food Tour with an Awesome Guide! Incredible experience, and super fun way to explore a new neighborhood in Paris. Our guide, Marion, was amazing! She was so insightful, and taught all of us so many new things about amazing French food and wine. Not to mention, everything that we ate and drank was amazing! Best food/wine tour in the city no doubt!! —- Activity is not to miss Stephen was a fantastic guide. We had a really fun time, learned a lot about cheeses, pastries, chocolate, baguette and wine. —- Great intro to fresh pastry, cheese, and more A wonderful way to learn about French food and taste amazing pastry, cheese, desserts paired with wine. We did this on our first day in Paris with guide Isabelle. She was great and our kids ages 15 and 18 thought it was great. Will do another one next time we are in Paris —- Highlight of the trip! We had such a fun time on this food tour, which was a highlight in a city of highlights. I learned so much about bread, cheese, chocolate, pastries and wine, and their importance in France. Neil and Marie were so knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend! —- Excellent tour, highly recommended! I live in Paris and think I know it well. The tour I joined, led by Stephanie, was well-organized, informative and opened my eyes to places and things I did not know. Well worthwhile. —– Perfect! Marion was our food guide. She has a great personality and excellent knowledge of food and wine. We went to the best places for dessert, wine and cheese. I would highly recommend her tour to anyone that really wants to experience the best the left bank has to offer. —- Incredible food tour! If you want to discover the absolute best places to buy cheese, chocolates, dessert, baguettes and wine, take this food tour! Our wonderful guide, Jennifer, not only knows the owners of this wonderful places, but shares the history of the food and delightful stories at each place we stopped. I was a little skeptical of all the positive reviews for Paris by Mouth, but now I know each reviewer is sincere in their praise.

You will receive many emails confirming the tour and reminding you of the location the tour will begin. I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail the company provides in the emails, so you know exactly where to meet your guide. Our guide also tried repeatedly to contact people who did not arrive for our tour; I was impressed how hard she tried to connect with them.

Groups are very small, so there is ample time to ask questions, talk to the other members in the group and hear the information the guide is sharing.

And finally, be forewarned- this is NOT tiny little tastings-we were so full of delicious food after the tour, we did not need to stop for dinner on the way back to out hotel.

I highly recommend Paris by Mouth tours and hope to take another tour the next time we visit Paris. —– Fabulous Food Tour Neil was absolutely fantastic!!!!! So knowledgeable and fun! He is a great conversationalist. We enjoyed every minute of this very special tour! —– Fantastic Paris food tour with delicious food stops and a wonderful guide Although I’ve visited Paris many times, this was my first time taking a food tour. I’d heard great things about Paris by Mouth, so my expectations were high, but the Saint-Germain tour our fantastic guide Neil took us on exceeded them all. Neil is super-knowledgeable, not only about the amazing foods purveyors he brought us to for baguettes, croissants, cheese, chocolates, wine & choux pastries (aka cream puffs), but also the neighborhood, architecture, French customs/culture, Paris food scene, many arcane French laws governing food & wine nomenclature/production, and more. At each stop, we tasted the shop’s specialty (and could procure more if we desired) while Neil gathered items for our fun end-of-tour wine & cheese party in a neighborhood wine shop cellar. Neil has a great sense of humor, and it was an absolute pleasure learning from and spending time with him (& the rest of our small group) as we shopped, ate, and drank for 3.5-4 hours. Afterward, Neil followed up with a comprehensive email detailing all the stops we made, and everything we tasted. What’s more, he shared a list of his favorite restaurants in Paris. I really appreciated the email because we didn’t have to take notes during the tour & could just focus on enjoying. We visited 3 of the restaurants Neil recommended during the remainder of our stay in Paris & each one was absolutely delicious! Neil definitely knows his food! I highly recommend Paris by Mouth Food Tours and especially our wonderful guide Neil! —- Another excellent Paris by Mouth food tour! This was my second Paris by Mouth food tour, the first was three years ago and we had the good fortune of Aurélien as our guide both times. Taste of the Marais was the first tour, it was excellent. This year we did a private Left Bank culinary walking tour with our extended, multi-generational family of 6 ranging in age from two to 72. We all had a wonderful time and learned so much, about foods in France and the history of Paris. We received in-depth information afterwards with a focus on cheeses, the regions they come from and their production. I now live in Paris and having a list of the places we visited and the things we tried is just fantastic, I can return to each and know what to ask for. Highly recommend. Even if you are coming to Paris for just a short visit, make the time for one of these tours! —- Food Tour in Marais with Marion was EXCELLENT! Our food tour in Marais with Marion was one of the highlights of our stay in Paris! We visited a boulangerie, fromagerie, charcuterie and chocolate shop before settling down in a wine shop to taste our cheeses, charcuterie and wines. Can’t say enough good things about Marion who was friendly, entertaining and oh so knowledgeable about all of our foods and wines and what makes them uniquely French. We learned so much from her! Also enjoyed the small group of 8 we were with. There was plenty of food so be sure to come hungry. Book this in advance to make sure it doesn’t sell out – you’ll be glad you did! —- North Marais Food tour We did the North Marais food tour with Marie in early July, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to France. Marie’s knowledge, energy, and passion for food and wine shone throughout the tour, and we loved learning how to pair wine and cheese based on terroir, and we also ate award winning croissants and chocolates. We had to bring our 20 month old toddler at the last minute, and Marie even brought a toy for her to play with while we did the tour! We received a detailed follow-up email after the tour, and we returned to several of the stops since we were staying in the neighbors. Highly recommend this fun and unique way to expand your knowledge of French wine and cheese! —- A wonderful afternoon! A wonderful afternoon. Highly recommended. Neil was a knowledgeable and fun guide. We learned so much about delicious cheeses, pasteries and wine, and the ornate French system and interesting craftspeople that produce them. It was a superb lens on French culture. Definitely do NOT make dinner plans after this tour. One last bite: Neil provided a detailed follow up note shortly after the tour, rife with tasting notes, restaurant recommendations and French classes. A superb resource. —– South Marais Food Tour The South Marais Food Tour with Aurelien was a real highlight of our trip. Aurelien is such a fun, friendly, personable guide who is able to impart his knowledge in a manner that is interesting and accessible to all. He seemed to effortlessly get to know everyone in the group… —– North Marais Tour We did the North Marais tour with Jennifer in late July and had a wonderful time. Jennifer was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everybody had enough to eat and drink! Oooh the cheese! We also had croissants/baguettes, chocolates, charcuterie, and of course wine!!! Communication was great and there actually was not all that much walking for the tour – it was all within a few blocks of each other. Highly recommend and will try a different neighbourhood with Paris by mouth if we’re lucky enough to be back! —– Eat great food and learn at the same time! We did a South Marias neighborhood food and wine tour with Andres, a long-time resident of Marias and an amazing food and wine navigator. What a great experience! We learned so much about identifying the best food purveyors and how to pick out exceptional cheese, wine and bakery items from the common stuff. A great, stomach-filling way to spend a few hours and to learn about French cuisine. —– Really fun (and educational too)! Paris by Mouth had been recommended by a friend, and I am so happy she did. My travel companion (another friend) and I had Neil as our guide, and he was delightful. The experience took us to an incredible bakery (that I went back to multiple times), a cheese shop, a chocolate shop, a sweets bakery, and a wine store. At the wine store you get to sit and eat what has been gathered by Neil, and learn a great deal more about cheese than I for one knew there was to learn. We had a group of 6, which was perfect, and the entire experience was simply lovely. If you have the chance, and the means, I strongly recommend this tour. —– Best Paris Food Experience !! Had to be our favorite Paris experience and we had a lot of amazing Paris experiences. We were met by Neil who was one of the best guides we had met in Paris and tasted some of the best foods and he later sent an email summary with everything he recommended and everything we tried. Tour went way over and Neil didn’t stress. We were in St Germain. Don’t think about it, do it !! Hope to be back again for more ! —- Excellent experience Marion was an excellent guide on this food tour. She had a very good mix of facts, history, culture and entertainment. The food, especially the cheeses and wine, were superb. Highly recommended! —- A truly awesome experience. Our guide was Stephen, an Irish Ex Pat living in France for the last 29 years. As a trained chef, Stephen was truly into food and shared a serious amount of knowledge. He clearly loves food, wine, pastry and Paris. We did the Left Bank tour on July 26, 2022. Stephen is the kind of guy you would love to hang out with and have a beer, which is kind of what we did.

Basically we walked and talked from shop to shop as Stephen purchased items for lunch. We ended up in a wine shop and shared pastries, cheese and wine. The morning went by fast and we truly enjoyed ourselves.

We ultimately ended up returning to some of the shops to buy more supplies for our journey home. Thank you Stephen for sharing your passion with us. —- Great Food Tour Absolutely wonderful food tour!! Everything we ate was delicious! I never have to eat another croissant in my life because I had the best there is on this tour. The cheeses, the wine, the chocolate…. incredible! Our guide, Neil, was a great host! Book it! —- Outstanding food tour in the Marais We had an outstanding tour with Neil, who was knowledgeable, funny, and candid about his experiences not only living as a british expat in France, but about working in the French food world. We did the south Marais (small) tour; there were 7 of us in total. Our tour was more on the sweet side (no charcuterie) but it ended in a real wine cellar underneath some of the oldest residential structures in Paris sipping wine and eating cheese and bread. It’s a marvelous way to see this part of the city, learn a bit about french gastronomy–I’m a bit of a foodie and I learned a lot I didn’t know. Terrific in every way. There is a lot of walking, and not a lot of sitting, for this tour, so wear your best touring shoes and try not to cry because it is hot in the summer. —– Fun, informative, and positively delicious! I took a Paris by Mouth tour about ten years ago and loved it. So I was really looking forward to trying this one in the Marais, my favorite neighborhood. It was just as great as that first one, in no small part because of Andres, who was so easygoing and knowledgeable about cheese, wine, bread—-well, everything important! His selections of what we tasted were swoon worthy and he’s about as charming as a person can be. A great day with great food and wine and a great guide.

Reviews left on TRIP ADVISOR in July 2022: _____ North Marais tour is excellent! We loved the tour with Marion! She is talkative smart and fun! She made us feel very comfortable. Within 5 minutes we learned so much. The small group Was lovely and we met a fantastic family from Toronto who really made the tour lovely. Marion took us to places we never would have ventured in to. Also, it made me realize how much we don’t know! Wish we had done it sooner! Merci! _____ Amazing Food Tour in the Marais Sharing the experience with others and conversing with Diane who was so informative and personable! The Marais was beautiful too. Lots of history in addition to great cheese, chocolate, pastry and wine. I loved how small our group was. The communication in advance of the tour was also excellent. Very clear on where to meat. This was an outstanding experience. I will absolutely do this again! Thank you ParisbyMouth and Diane _____ Fun wine, cheese & chocolate experience! Our wine, cheese, chocolate and bread tour with Diane was one of our favorite things we did in Paris. We learned so much, including about the MOFs (best of France), different wines, how to pair wines and cheeses, and even fun geographic facts. The third generation chocolate shop was amazing. But our favorite part was sitting around in the wine cellar, trying different wines and cheeses and chatting with Diane and the members of our group. It was so good I would do it again when i return to Paris. _____ Take the North Marais food tour with Marion – you will be glad you did! Marion was super fun, energetic, and so knowledgeable! It was truly a wonderful experience. We took the tour at the end of our time in Paris, and I wish we would have taken it closer to the beginning, since she gave us so many great tips! I’ll lever guy pasteurized brie again. 🙂 Highly recommend the North Marais food tour with Marion!! _____ Fantastic tour with Neil What a fantastic way to learn about the French, Parisians, and their food! We had a super tour from Neil, who took us to five merchants selling extremely high quality foods, ranging from cheese to bread to pastries to macarons and chocolate in the Latin Quarter. Neil proved to be exceptionally knowledgable, was clearly passionate about food, and promoted a great tour atmosphere with wide-ranging insights from food to history. The other tour guests were also fun to get to know, with everyone clearly enjoying themselves. This is the third time we’ve taken a food tour from Paris by Mouth, and we’ve loved every one of them. It has become one of our go-to highlights for every visit to Paris. Oh, and at the end, we got a curated list of recommended restaurants from our guide. We subsequently had several super dinners! Sign up for the tour—you will not regret it! _____ The Left Bank Tour was a great experience!! Marion was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all things food! I felt confident shopping for cheese and bread (yes, there is a special baguette!) the very next day. Though my sons and I did not try any wines, we did not feel left out as the cheese and wine tasting were combined. After the tour, Marion emailed us a detailed list of where we went and everything we tasted, which was extremely helpful. She even replied to me several times with other recommendations during our stay. Add this tour to your must-do’s list for your next trip to Paris! _____ Highlight of our trip My husband and I went on the North Marais food tour and it was one of our favorite things we did in Paris. Our tour guide Marion was incredible. She was friendly, inclusive, and so knowledgeable about food and wine. I wish we had done the tour earlier in our trip so that we could have taken more advantage of what we learned, but Marion did recommend a great restaurant for dinner for our last night in Paris. Marion took us to a bakery, cheese chop, meat shop, chocolatier, and then we ended in a wine cave where we got to sample everything while Marion explained the different things we tried. Go on this tour, and go hungry! _____ Just do it! The best part of this experience (and it was all good) was the end where we got to sit in a wine cellar, eating our cheese, bread, and drinking wine and learning so much about the different kinds of cheeses, where they came from, and also about the wines we were drinking. What our guide Marion didn’t tell us in the beginning is that her knowledge of food and wine is about a mile long and at least two miles deep. She does an excellent job of teaching you new things and interacting with everyone on the tour. This was my first food tour experience and it will certainly not be my last. I couldn’t recommend Paris by Mouth enough. To boot, we even took a couple of restaurant recommendations from their substack which were the most memorable meals we had in Paris. Thank you Paris by Mouth & Marion. It was great. Our only feedback is that the shops we stopped in along the way (for bread, cheese, chocolate, and pastries) were relatively high-end chains vs smaller local establishments. It would have been nice to support and learn about some smaller businesses. _____ Amazing way to experience Paris!! What an amazing way to experience Paris food and culture!! We had the BEST time with Diane on the Left Bank food tour. She was SO knowledgeable about food, wine and life in Paris! It was very cool to have her American perspective as well as her foodie expertise. I’m still dreaming about the croissants and cheese she turned us on to. Highly recommend the Paris by Mouth tours – you won’t be disappointed. _____ Wonderful experience! This tour was a highlight of our trip! The food was exceptional and there was a good variety of things to try. The pace of the walk and information shared was perfect (not too much, not too little). Highly recommend! _____ Best experience with Paris by Mouth walking tour and guide, Marion Marion, our PbM tour guide and host, was knowledgeable, fun and enthusiastic – her passion for French food and wine is contagious! We learned so much during our short walking/eating/drinking tour and I have managed to retain most of it. My four young adult children and I enjoyed every moment! We want to go back to Paris and take another tour with Marion and Paris by Mouth. _____ Money Well Spent Stephen was our guide and we could not have hoped for a more knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly guide. Given his background working, cooking and managing in various restaurants around the world he knew his stuff. We have been fortunate enough to have been able to sample many food tours around the world and Stephen proved to be the best guide so far. Try and get a booking with him. It will be money well spent. _____ A wonderful food tour! We had a wonderful time and experience with Marie (from Paris by Mouth) on our North Marais tour. Marie was delightful and informative. We sampled food from an award winning boulangerie (listening to the “music of the bread” while we ate), sampled delicious cheeses, pate and amazing chocolate. We also tried a variety of wines while we ate and listened to Marie explaining all about the food. The experience was definitely worth the money and my family of four (husband and two grown sons) had a wonderful time. We highly recommend this tour! _____ The best food tours! We enjoyed a wonderful, fun, informative tour of the northern Marais with Marie. She was generous with her knowledge, warm and friendly, and happy to entertain any and all questions about food and France. This was a delightful way to deepen our experience of Paris and French food traditions. Whether you are a first time visitor or a veteran, these tours are a great choice to enhance your Paris vacation! _____ One of My Favorite Paris Experiences The Paris by Mouth Left Bank food tour with Diane R was so worth the money. She was so fun and full of interesting information. She asked the group what we wanted to get out of the experience and then tailored it to us. The croissant, cheeses, chocolates, desserts and wines were yummy and the experience was amazing. There is minimal walking and maximum tasting! We visited all the shops. She had chosen some items and then asked for the group’s input on some additional items for us to take back to the wine shop to have our own cheese and wine tasting. She paired the wines and cheeses and explained the regions. Then we tasted our dessert afterward. She is incredibly knowledgeable and so personable. Definitely recommend! _____ A highlight of my trip to Paris! This tour was absolutely fantastic! Diane was incredibly knowledgeable, the food was delicious and I learned so much. Definitely a highlight of my trip to Paris. If you are a foodie, I highly recommend this tour. _____ Great food tour, hosted by Neil Although my husband and I have been to Paris many times, this was the first time we took a food tour. This company came highly recommended, and the tour did not disappoint. First, the organizers provided clear instructions beforehand. Our actual tour was both fun and educational – well worth the time even if on a tight vacation schedule. Our tour guide, Neil, shared a lot of information about the food he had selected for us from the excellent shops we went to, and answered our many questions about the various locations we visited – bakery, cheese store, chocolatier, wine store and pastry shop. I particularly enjoyed sitting with Neil and the rest of our small tour, eating the baguette, cheeses and wine that Neil had chosen. The end of the tour was a relaxed and casual mini-meal. We highly recommend Paris by Mouth and a tour with Neil as the guide. _____ Excellent Great service! The facilitator, Diane, was very knowledgable and had positive energy 🙂 Thanks so much _____ Fantastic food tour in Paris – fun, educational and tasty! I took a great tour with Paris by Mouth in May 2022 and our tour guide, Diane, was awesome. I was so impressed with her background and credentials as a professional food writer. I was traveling by myself, but felt very comfortable with the group and had a lot of fun. Diane is an American who has lived in Paris for many years, and it was great to visit many of her favorite food destinations and learn about the history and importance of each item we were tasting. We stopped at several places in the neighborhood to collect cheeses, bread, chocolates and more and then gathered in the wine cave of a local wine shop to sample our goodies. Everything was delicious and we Diane educated us further during the tasting. I had a great time and would definitely recommend Paris by Mouth – I hope to take another tour with them my next time in Paris. _____ Don’t miss the Marais Food tour with Monsiuer Andres I have followed Paris by Mouth for years and found their restaurant recommendations spot on. They now have a nominal subscription fee that is well worth it to find the appropriate restaurant in your Paris neighborhood. We have tried to do their tours but they sell out very quickly so don’t dally. We did a Marais tour with Monsiuer Andres that was absolutely first class. His tour brought us great food, great wine but, more importantly, he provided an excellent grounding in the history of French boulangeries, fromageries, and various wine regions. It is just as informative for a first time Francophile or someone who has visited for decades. We have had tons of guides and Monsieur Andres is at the top of the list. _____ Fun food tour Excellent tour highlighting the food scene in Saint Germaine. Our guide Diane was welcoming, informative & entertaining. The tour was well paced and helped us learn more about the fabulous Saint Germaine arrondissement. Thanks Diane – highly recommend this tour. _____ Fabulous tour in St Germain We had a fabulous tour in the Left Bank with Diane, and it remains a highlight of my trip to France. Diane was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about food, and a great teacher. The itinerary was perfect and well paced, relaxed and so much fun. The tour ended with a fabulous tasting of wine, cheese and charcuterie which we enjoyed immensely – so many delicious things! We learned so much and by the end, guided by Diane’s deft hand, this lovely and interesting group of strangers made me feel like I was at a wonderful dinner party. Highly recommend Paris by Mouth and I can’t wait to do another tour on my next trip to Paris. _____ The Perfect Tour to Experience the Best of Paris Food and Wine This was my first trip to Paris, and I’m so glad we did the Paris by Mouth tour (the Left Bank Tour) at the beginning of the trip. Our guide, Diane, was so helpful and knowledgeable, she did a fantastic job of keeping the group together and on track while answering questions and sharing information about the city. Our group was small and it was fun to get to know our fellow foodies during the tour. All of the food and wine we sampled was incredible, and after the tour we were able to go back and revisit some of our favorites during the rest of our trip, in addition to bringing home some amazing treats for the rest of our family. Diane shared some really helpful information with us about food and culture in France, I learned so much! I can’t say enough good things about Diane, she was a pro, very kind and excellent at her job. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a taste of Paris, it really was my favorite part of our trip! _____ Great food and wine tour experience Left Bank Incredibly informative food and wine tour. Also lots of history of Paris, France and the left bank. Definitely recommend doing it at the start of your trip – they recommend so many great food spots throughout Paris- you’ll want to hit them all up before you leave. More talking/listening then walking – so don’t be intimidated by the walking tour. Our group ranged from knowledgeable foodies to people who just like to eat and drink! Everyone got a lot out of it! Highly recommend. _____ Excellent Relaxed Food Tour I really recommend the Left Bank Tour with Diane. It was excellent and a lot of fun. Diane was very knowledgeable about the Parisian food scene knew the answers to most questions. I have done a couple of other tours in Paris and they are much more regimented and less fun. This was one was free flowingI think its great that the tour ends in the wine cellar with wine and cheese. Diane would explain the cheese and the wine and then let us discuss among ourselves and ask questions in a very relaxed setting. Overall this was one of my favorite tours, especially because our guide helped create a setting in which questions were encouraged and everyone felt comfortable to mingle. This tour was the perfect mix of education, food, and wine. _____ Well worth our time! Our morning North Marais tour was terrific and turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire stay in Paris. Our guide, Stephanie, was gifted at sharing her knowledge and passionate about Parisian food culture with us. Are expectations were exceeded in every way and we would be very happy to book another tour with Paris by Mouth on a return trip. Highly recommend! _____ Amazing tour with Diane Diane our tour guide was fabulous! Her in-depth knowledge of food and Paris was so informative – learned so many things I was not aware even though have been to paris many times before. Her selection of places to try in the Marais were beyond delicious. The entire group really had a lovely time together – Diane made us feel like we had all known each other berore. My 14 year old niece was with me and everyone made her feel so comfortable and welcome. Beyond a great tour – would recommend the tour and Diane as the tour guide every time. _____ Great tour Marion was fantastic. Her knowledge of wine, cheese, charcuterie and bread was detailed and extremely thorough. She was fun and energetic which added to the overall experience. A must on your paris visit. We visited a speciality chocolate shop. Thank you Marion and PBM. Highly recommend! _____ Tour led by a Joyful well informed guide Marion, our guide was the very best part of the tour. She’s a bundle of JOY and loaded with information about everything we did on the tour and pretty much anything else we asked about in Paris. Perfect English and a fabulouis selection of places for us to visit. An amazing boulangerie, one of the best in Paris, A fabulous fromagerie, charcuterie, chocolate and finally a wonderful little wine bar inside a fabulous market to taste wines and indulge in the other goodies. _____ Perfect first day in Paris with Marion! Paris by Mouth was the perfect way to begin our family’s tour of Paris. Marion our guide is a cheese and wine expert and she took us to the most divine shops! We started w an award winning baguette and the most delicious croissant my family has ever had. Then we went to a cheese shoppe with the most unbelievable assortment (and aroma!). After that a specialty chocolate shop, and next a wine shop to taste it all. We were stuffed and delighted upon leaving for our final stop at a specialty pastry shop. It was a small, friendly group and we had a wonderful time and learned a lot. If only we had room for more!! Thank you Marion and PBM! _____ A MUST ON YOUR VISIT TO PARIS!! This was the best food tour ever – it came highly recommended to me. Deniz is amazing, make sure you get her as your host. She has a great background of being a chef herself and is very knowledgeable. She was also extra accommodating to my parents who were walking a bit slower than the rest of the crowd. The places we stopped were perfect and a great range of food from breads to chocolate to cheese and pate! We enjoyed it all in this adorable wine cellar too with great wines. Sara, one of the owners, was so easy and great to work with. I had a few changes along the way and she got back to me so quickly and was also very accommodating. Definitely do this when you are in Paris — it is a MUST!!! _____ Must take Diane was especially lovely! I had such a fun time on this tour, even as a solo. I learned a lot about French culture and food – how to order a baguette and which cheese is my favorite. Plus she added in history of places and food. It’s a must! Amazing Food Experience The Left Bank tour with Aurélien was wonderful. He is extremely knowledgeable about French food and culture. The bread, cheese, chocolates, patisserie and wine we sampled were very tasteful. _____ Marion took us on a delightful journey through Paris’s finest bakeries, cheese, and chocolate shoppes. She was amazing! Marion was a fabulous guide and extremely well-informed about Parisian cuisine. The tour was one of our top highlights of our trip. Highly recommend! _____ Best food tour in Paris! We did the south marais food tour with Neil and it was incredible. We learned so much about the neighborhood and finished it off drinking wine and eating cheese in one of the oldest buildings in Paris which had an underground cave. Can’t recommend this enough! _____ Savory Le Marais food tour a highlight of trip Well worth the 3 hours. We took the savory North Le Marais tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. We learned much regarding the foods we ate, wines we drank, as well as the culture surrounding the creation of those foods. We also saw a bit of the le Marais neighborhood which was lovely. Our guide Andres was very knowledgeable and friendly, patiently answering our group’s many questions. He had good recommendations for wines and restaurants, bars and shops in le Marais aside from those we visited. Ee had dinnerbatva redtaurant he recommended and it was excellent and reasonably priced! I would highly recommend his tour to anyone interested in eating great food while in Paris. _____ Great Tour! Your was great and learned a ton. Had lots of great food from various local places that had won numerous awards. Marion, was phenomenal and was very knowledgeable! _____ Book the Left Bank tour early in your trip! We were on the fence about taking up a whole morning for a tour but it turned out to be one of the best things we did on our trip. Deniz led us through the Latin Quarter, sharing with us where to go for the best croissants and cheese. Then she provided lots of samples along with a wine tasting. We likely never would have found these shops on our own and we happily returned to get picnic provisions and snacks throughout our trip. Deniz also gave us restaurant and shopping recommendations and took us to a pastry shop and chocolate shop for delicious samples. It was a memorable morning/afternoon. Highly recommend! _____ Required experience if visiting Paris. As someone who typically avoids guided tours of any kind, this one is truly an exception. It provided us with a unique perspective of Paris and its culinary culture that we would not have been able to see otherwise. Stephanie was lovely, knowledgeable (while still being approachable), and gave us perfect restaurant/bar recommendations for the rest of our trip. _____ Best intro to French food and food culture! We had the pleasure of enjoying the Left Bank tour with the very knowledgeable and fun Marion Cazes. We were an intimate group of 7 with Marion all to ourselves! We sampled croissant, baguette, patisserie, chocolate, wine and cheese from some of the Meuilleur Ouvrir de France—the best quality! Included was THE croissant supplier to the French president—wow! Though not an extensive cheese and wine tasting, Marion’s wine credentials and knowledge were very helpful. We know California wine well and got a great introduction to French wines and wine regions. She shared many recommendations to cool bars and restaurants. If you are here for only a short time, trust Marion to lead you to Paris’ hidden foodie gems! _____ If you are interested in a food tour, paris is the right place and this is the right tour. This tour, while expensive, was worth every penny. We did the Latin Quarter tour with Deniz, and had some of the most amazing food. Deniz was highly knowledgeable and both interested and interesting. If you’re in the market for a food tour, Paris is the place to do it and this tour is the one to do. Started with the best croissant I have ever had, followed by pastries, bread, cheese, chocolates, a lengthy wine store stop where we ate a generous amount of fabulous cheese with generous amounts of three different wines, and then more pastry to finish. The tour took about three hours, 10am – 1pm. No need for lunch after. Highly recommended. _____ Delicious and informative Stephanie gave us a food tour in the Marais. She was very friendly and the food we tasted was amazing. The temperature was almost 100 degrees and she aptly pivoted to help us avoid the heat. The croissant was so extraordinary that we ventured back from the 7th just to buy another for our breakfast another day. I highly recommend Stephanie and Paris by Mouth!! _____ A must do for food lovers! This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris! Stephen was a perfect guide. He taught us all about how to judge a baguette, all about different types of cheeses, fascinating info about the world class chocolatier we visited, and so much more. The food was spectacular (who doesn’t love cheeses, breads, and patisserie???) and the information was just so interesting. I loved it so much that I tried to book another tour during my trip only to find they were fully booked the rest of the week (no surprise there at all). The small group setting was perfect because we were all able to talk with one another and chat with Stephen. I will absolutely be doing another tour during my next visit!

Paris By Mouth is a “must do” city walking tour; you will want to come back for more. My husband and I loved our 2015 tour so much we had to do another when we were in Paris in May 2022; we were not disappointed. The Left Bank Food and Wine tour was great fun. The meet-up instructions were excellent, Deniz was a great guide and the selections for the tour were all very good (the artisty of the chocolatiers was amazing). There is a good bit of walking on this tour (as with any city tour) but the food selections are so generous you will welcome the opportunity to burn some calories. We recommend this tour to any of our friends that plan to visit Paris and we would certainly do another on our next trip back. — If you’re going to Paris put “Paris by Mouth” early in your plans. We made better food choices and restaurants because of information Andres provided us! This was our second tour, the first was the Cheese lovers and both were superb!

We had a delightful tour of the North Marais with Andres, He shared his knowledge and wealth of information about all the shops we visited. We were thrilled to learn about the best baguettes and all of the intricacies involved in baking, shelf life and more!

Also on our tour, we had “to die for” croissants, chocolates, pates, delicious cheeses and wine! It was fun to walk around this bustling neighborhood and check out the market as well. Andres was super engaging and answered all of our questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. He provided us with some tidbits about French culture that were on point and helpful during our stay. He also helped us with some of his favorite restaurants in Nice where we also traveled. — My daughter (age 18) and I enjoyed a fabulous afternoon in the north Marais with charming, knowledgeable Marie! Marie shared her deep knowledge of history, Paris, French food and wine along with her art, restaurant and baking background. We enjoyed the most delicious chocolate, cheese, croissant, baguette, charcuterie and wine at special neighborhood spots. Our Paris By Mouth food tour was the highlight of our trip to Paris! — Do this! Do this on your first day in Paris – then you will have so much information for the rest of your time to ensure you have every chance to enjoy the glory of French cuisine and wine in between the museums, galleries etc. Stephen was endlessly knowledgeable and patient. It will be a highlight of your time in Paris. ___ St Germain Tour Lynne was an amazing tour guide! We got to try so many things and left feeling full! She was able to recommend restaurants and things to do for the remainder of our stay in Paris. Highly recommend the st germain tour! ___ A Delicious Tour in Paris Slow-paced tour to savor some of the best tastes in the town. From elegant croissants to an amazing array of cheeses and chocolates, finishing with France’s wines, this is an experience which fully complements the beauty of Paris. ___ Utterly enjoyable! We loved our afternoon tour with Jennifer in the St. Germain area. It was a small group, very relaxed, and very informative. It didn’t feel like a “tour,” more like an experienced friend sharing her love of wine, cheese, meats, and sweets. Utterly enjoyable; highly recommend. ___ Our guide, Aurelien, was engaging and knowledgeable about the foods of France. Learned so much about French culture and the food tastes and wine pairings were superb! ___ Andres was awesome! Our guide, Andres Medrano, was friendly, insightful, prepared, and very well suited to lead our North Marais food tour! It was an excellent morning that we would have enjoyed for hours more! ___ Emily in Paris (by Mouth)! The small group and length of tour In North Marais with Emily, was perfect! We heard wonderful things about Paris by Mouth and the tour exceeded our expectations. ___ Thank you Andres Great tour with Andres. Interesting, thoughtful, very knowledgeable and he was able to adapt without fuss to all in a group with varied backgrounds and tastes. The places we visited and the tastings were all well thought out and would definitely recommend whether you are a novice or an experienced foodie. ___ The Best Food Shops in Saint Germain Our small group had a truly wonderful tour of food shops in Saint Germain area of Paris with Stephen. It was an exhilarating experience for our taste buds while our knowledge horizons were expanded. We sat in a lovely market to break bread, cheese and meats together with wine. I really recommend doing a food tour with Paris by Mouth to immerse yourself in this taste of Paris. ___ This is a Must Do When in Paris This was our second tour with Paris by Mouth. This time we experienced the Left Bank and all that it has to offer. Our guide was Deniz and she was excellent. She was easy to understand since we have had problems understanding some of the French when they are speaking English. She taught us a great deal about all the different foods we tried. It was a wonderful afternoon and we highly recommend this tour. ___ Cheese Explosion blew away expectations The Cheese Explosion tour was a highlight of our stay in Paris. We tasted a great variety of cheeses with nice wine pairings. Jennifer was an engaging host and very knowledgeable and passionate about cheese. It was great to get an explanation in the shop of the main types of cheeses and how to purchase them. I highly recommend booking this tour early in your stay, as you will come away with a ton of great Paris recommendations. You’ll also know how to buy the best cheese (and bread) while in France! Not only were the visited establishments excellent, but he also had a wealth of knowledge about other local venues that we made part of our trip – in Paris and other parts of France! — A must do tour if you love food! If you want to learn more about French food and wine than this tour is for you. We did the North Marais tour led by Deniz. She was fantastic, so knowledgeable and wanted to learn more about our interests in order to shape the tour. The food and wine was generous with an excellent variety of things to try so much so I will never look at bread, croissants or cheese the same way. Highly recommend! — Excellent small group tour We had an excellent experience with Diane on our North Marais tour. Great communication before and a thorough email after with all the details from our tour. The portions were generous such that there were takeaway portions of cheese afterwards. The food and wine was of course amazing. Our group was delightfully international and included Puerto Ricans, a Kazakh, and a CA winemaker. And the groups size is capped at 8. Diane was very knowledgeable on the subject matter and has quite a gourmet expert resume. I would highly recommend. — Lovely insider tour! My favorite part of our Left Bank food tour with Neil was the detailed knowledge and insider info he shared about each stop and the area’s history related to food. This was a great way to dig deeper and appreciate a selection of truly great spots in the vast ocean of Paris’s food scene. My two teenage daughters even enjoyed the info, selection and tastings! — North Marais with Diane We had an excellent tour with Diane! She was deeply knowledgeable and made the tour both educational and fun! We loved the intimate format and enjoyed getting to know our small group of fellow travelers. Would highly recommend Paris by Mouth and Diane’s leadership! — Must do in Paris / Marais Trip highlight was Paris by Mouth Food Tour. Responsive organizers and clear directions. Wish we could have had Aurelien narrate and navigate our entire stay in Paris. A perfect mix of savory and sweet treats and an engaging and informative presentation exploring a fun area in North Marais. Not to be missed. Will book another area when we return! Thank you! — Magnificent (north) Marias with Marion This tour is simply excellent. Intimate, personalized, and fun. Marion was the perfect tour guide – friendly, entertaining, funny, knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and her passion for food and wine was evident throughout the experience. I learned so much and had a really great time – all while “tasting” our way through the North Marais. Highly, highly recommend it to all audiences. — South Marais with Aurelien This tour and the food were so amazing. Aurelien was a great guide… accommodating the different interests of the group and even keeping my teenagers engaged. Highly recommend! — Marais with Diane We had a fantastic food tour of the Marais with Diane! The food was delicious, the company delightful, and Diane was extremely knowledgable and made everyone feel at ease. Diane also followed up with a detailed email of our itinerary and information about everything we ate and drank which I will absolutely keep for future reference. She even gave us some recommendations for other areas of the city. A highlight of our trip! — Incredibly delightful! We absolutely loved our tour with Aurelien! We toured the Left Bank area and were so impressed with Aurielien’s lovely and kind vibe, extensive knowledge, and good humor! The day was brutally hot but we barely noticed – we were so engaged. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to get an inside scoop on some of Paris’s best foods. — Great Experience! We had a wonderful food tour of Saint-Germaine with some nice touches of history added in. The original Poilane bakery was a highlight. The tour ended with tastings of delicious cheeses, charcuterie, bread and wine that easily counts as lunch. Stephen was delightful and very impressive professionally. — Fantastic start to our trip Our tour of the Left Bank was absolutely phenomenal! Neil, our guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and made the entire experience such a fantastic start to our Paris trip. We ended up going back to a lot of the stops to pick up more treats while we were in Paris for the week, and grabbed chocolate to bring home with us. The food we tasted on the tour was probably the best we had while in the city – award winning cheeses, croissants, baguettes, pastries, chocolates & wines. We decided to book a tour for our first afternoon in the city (after taking a red-eye flight and landing that morning). Would not recommend that part – we were feeling pretty jet lagged by the time the tour rolled around. But Neil’s passion for the topics, knowledge about the various specialties & general recommendations made it a joy despite how tired we are. We also left the tour with recommendations for restaurants, activities, and Neil’s local knowledge helped us figure out how to get tickets to the Coup de France that was happening that weekend – which was absolutely amazing. This tour was a top highlight of our entire trip. We can’t wait to book another tour on our next visit! — Engaging tour We had a wonderful tour in Marias today with our guide Marion. She was so engaging and knew so much about food. We were lucky to be able to sample a little bit of everything – bread, sweets, wine, cheese and charcuteries. We really enjoyed the day and it was a wonderful way to see a little part of Paris. — Outstanding Aurélien was an extraordinary guide as he navigated us through the most delicious food tour! He was knowledgeable, engaging & kind. Highly recommend him & the tour!!!! — Delicious and Delightful Our guide Neil was as knowledgeable as he was engaging—the best of combinations for a wonderful tour! A particular highlight were the cheeses and his detailed explanations. — A wonderful way to sample a city and it’s food and wine. Lynne met us in front of Poilane bakery for our first stop. She told us the history of the bakery and the Poilane family before entering . Here , as at all the shops we sampled and then she purchased food for our ultimate stop, sitting to sample cheese and wine pairings. I had been on one Paris By Mouth tour previously and both have been wonderful. — 50th birthday treat Neil met us with bottles of water and we tasted our way through the Left Bank and collected treats to eat in a lovely subterranean wine cave. Perfect on a warm day. The group surprised me by singing happy birthday and Neil put a candle in my Paris-Brest eclair. C’est magnifique. — A picky eaters review Let’s start with saying I am a picky eater and my wife will try anything. Doing this was her idea. The whole process was handled very well with communication. Our guide ,Steven was great. Very informative and knowledgeable. he explained the history of the wines, cheeses, bread and meats we tried. Being picky, I was hesitant but did sample some. The rest of the group definitely enjoyed it all. —

Reviews left on TRIP ADVISOR in MAY 2022: —– Lynne, with Paris by Mouth, gave us a wonderful tour of St Germain. She was a delight and so knowledgeable! A perfect and delicious morning in Paris! Written May 30, 2022 —– We went on the South Marais tour with Stephen, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend others do the same. Stephen was a fantastic guide with a wealth of knowledge about the area and its history, not to mention the fantastic spots he took us to. Great way to explore part of a Paris. Written May 30, 2022 —– Every small shop our guide Isabel took us in was fantastic. We would never have been able to find these places on our on. The cheese shop was over the moon! Written May 30, 2022 —– This was our second Paris by Mouth tour and we would happily do another one. On each tour we learned totally different things about bead, cheese, wine, chocolate and charcuterie, even though we had the same guide both times (DIane). She is great at explaining complex concepts about wine and food while making it relatable and fun. Everything we tried was top notch and we loved the cute wine bar at the end. Written May 29, 2022 —– THE BEST TOUR!!! If going to Paris, if you book anything, book this! Isabelle was AWESOME! The food and wine was amazing! We did the St Germain one! Learned so much about the food! Can’t say enough about it! Go and experience it!!! Written May 28, 2022 —– Amazing time with Diane! Super knowledgeable about life in France!!! Visited some great food stores (Poilane bakery, chocolate store (will not share the name so you can discover it too, wine store, cheese and charcuterie etc… Needless to say, we ate and drank like kings and Queens!!! Thank you Diane! Written May 28, 2022 —– Diane was extremely knowledgeable and a great guide! We had a blast learning about Saint Germaine and enjoying some great food and wine and came away more knowledgeable about food, Paris, and even some of its history! Written May 25, 2022 —– This was our first Paris by Mouth tour, in fact, one of the few food tours we’ve ever done. Diane was so knowledgeable and so open to questions. I wondered how it might go, given different levels of knowledge and interest in the group, but I learned all sorts of things and Diane was gracious and able to answer all kinds of different questions. The weather was miserable but you would not have known it given Diane’s enthusiasm – I loved how protective of the bread she was! What was even more helpful was the information she sent later about the foods we’d eaten and places we’d been, and she followed up with it so quickly that we could refer to it immediately during the rest of our stay in Paris. Written May 25, 2022 —– Wonderful Left bank tour with Diane. This was our first ever food tour and we loved it. Diane was very knowledgeable and walked us thru the maze of French cheese and wines! She was super friendly and hospitable and ever willing to answer all kinds of questions. Strongly recommended. Written May 24, 2022 —– Left bank tour was wonderful, despite the rain! Small group of 7, our guide was fabulous, very knowledgeable and a great teacher, learned a lot. Best croissant in all of Paris, wonderful cheeses, chocolate, macaroons and then a lovely wine tasting. Loved learning about French wines. A must do tour! Written May 23, 2022 —– This was a wonderful tour – highly recommend! The best part of the tour was our guide Stephen, who was so knowledgeable and also just a really nice guy who was fun to be with. The food we tasted was truly extraordinary- the best baguette, croissant, chocolate, cheese, and charcuterie I have ever tasted – and so much of it that we didn’t end up needing dinner after the tour. Book this tour – you will not be disappointed. Written May 22, 2022 —– This tour was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad we included this fun, informative and tasty activity into our trip’s itinerary. Diane was personable and knowledgeable – overall a fantastic guide. I’d recommend this tour through the historic st Germaine neighborhood to anyone who enjoys delicious bread, cheese, chocolate, pastries and wine. 🙂 Written May 21, 2022 —– Had such a great time during the Left Bank tour! I actually was supposed to attend the Marais tour, but due to flight issues and COVID uncertainty, missed that tour. Paris by Mouth was thankfully very understanding, and rescheduled me for the Left Bank tour happening later in the day. I’m so glad they did because I really loved the Left Bank tour and especially our guide Diane!

Diane is so knowledgeable about food and history, as well as a gifted storyteller! The tour was incredibly interesting and engaging, not to mention, of course, delicious! Diane picked the most exquisite cheeses, chocolates, pastries, and wine for us to try, and I appreciated that she asked us for our dietary preferences beforehand and was so accommodating of them. The places Diane took us were places I wouldn’t have known about on my own, so I felt like I was getting a real local’s tour. I also really enjoyed the small group setting and getting to learn about the other folks in my tour. I can’t wait to come back and try some of the other tours offered, and encourage others give this tour a try! Written May 21, 2022 —– I had such a wonderful time on the Left Bank Tour with Diane! She’s a wonderful tour guide and all of the food we ate – gotta love anyone who shows up with a croissant and a bread knife! I recommend this tour to everyone! Written May 21, 2022 —– This is the second time I’ve done a tour with Paris by Mouth. Deniz was spectacular. She has an encyclopedic knowledge and was just great fun to spend time with. And of course the food was amazing. Couldn’t recommend highly enough! Thank you Deniz! Written May 21, 2022 —– Paris by Mouth is one of our favorite food tours. We have travelled to France many times but still learned a lot about French food and wine. Our guide, Diane, was so wonderful! She was very welcoming and is very knowledgeable about French food, customs, and history. We were so glad to be on her tour, it felt like spending an afternoon with a good friend who was showing us around Paris. The tour started with a croissant, then went to a boulangerie for bread, a fromagerie for cheese, a chocolate shop, and pastry shop before heading to a cute wine store to enjoy all of our food with perfectly paired wine. Along the way, Diane gave a really nice overview of the history and culture of each spot and picked up lots of useful tips. There was a lot of food and wine for each person, definitely enough for a meal. Would highly recommend! Written May 21, 2022 —– Diane’s tour was a perfect mix of food, history, and fun. Every aspect was so thoughtful and the food was incredible. I appreciated that rather than visiting multiple sit down restaurants, we walked around the neighborhood to procure various items from specialty vendors. Bread from classic bakery, chocolate from an unbelievable chocolatier, meats from a renowned butcher, cheese from an incredible cheese monger, and finally wine from a lovely shop. The overall experience was charming, authentic, and delightful. Written May 21, 2022 —– We can’t recommend the Paris by Mouth food tours highly enough. The Left Bank your led by our fantastic and charming guide, Neil, was a highlight of our trip. Each of the stops we made was a thoughtfully chosen, top-notch example of a patisserie, fromagerie, or chocolaterie. Neil’s extensive knowledge of Paris, food, and wine (among other things) made for the most interesting and engaging tour. Our small group enjoyed magnificent tastings at each of the shops we visited before making our way to a wine cave to pair several excellent wines with the treats Neil had collected and carried for us on our journey in St-Germain-des-Pres. We look forward to booking with Paris by Mouth again on our return to Paris! Written May 19, 2022 —– We took the South Marais tour the afternoon we landed in Paris, something we always do when we travel abroad, haven’t slept in 2 days and need a way to stay awake, see a cool neighborhood in a new city, and begin to experience local food. This was one of the best we’ve ever done. 6 stops and an epic feast of wine, cheese, bread and patisserie in a wine cellar at the end. It doesn’t get any better. Both our guide and the food were amazing. Highly recommend! Written May 19, 2022 —– My mom and I had the Paris by Mouth tour in St. Germain with Lynne and it was an unforgettable and amazing experience! We had great food, terrific wine and most of all, we had such a cozy atmosphere with Lynne and our super fun foodie group. She picked out great sweets, cheeses and charcuterie for us to eat – all while giving us interesting tidbits of history. What really stood out for me is how sympathetic and accommodating Lynne was to the entire group. It was a walking tour but Lynne still took the time to accommodate my mom who has mobility issues and ensure that we had enough pauses and places to relax, see some amazing sights and learn about food. All while doing this seamlessly within the tour itself and not making my mom or myself feel like we were a burden for waking a bit slower. We came away from the tour with a new appreciation for Parisian food, wine and our amazing group and guide Lynne. Strongly recommend booking this tour! 🙂 Written May 19, 2022 —– I’ve taken all of the Paris By Mouth tours – this was a repeat tour for me because I wanted to take my sister. PBM tours always exceed expectations and standout as a favorite activity on every visit. Our guide, Marion is from France, spoke very nice English, was excited and enthusiastic to share her in depth knowledge of the best Paris has to offer – pastries, breads, chocolate, sweets, charcuterie, cheese, wine. I highly recommend any and all of the PBM tours. After visiting all of the shops and tasting and collecting food along the way we arrived at a wine cave – le 18 Oberkampf where we spent a lovely couple of hours tasting cheeses and meats paired with wines as Marion did a wonderful job teaching our group about the regions and characteristics of each Written May 19, 2022 —– Lynne was our tour guide and her first-hand experience as a pastry chef gives her some great insights. All the places she took us to were great, and the food was top quality. She was very good at explaining the history behind each of the shops we visited, and she obviously has a good personal relationship with all the people who work there. This tour is highly recommended. Written May 18, 2022 —– Last week I was lucky enough to do a walking foodie tour with Lynne from Paris by Mouth in St. Germain. It was an enjoyable 3 hours filled with interesting foodie info but also tidbit facts about Paris. Lynne was lovely and upbeat and the other people on the tour were terrific. We had a great time. Along the way we nibbled and near the end of this tour we were able to sit at proper tables in the shade and enjoy some charcuterie and wine. Recommended. Written May 18, 2022 —– What an amazing experience! We learned so much during our tour with Stephen! We booked a private tour for six and enjoyed so many wonderful treats it is impossible to pick a favorite. His food knowledge was interesting and engaging. The stops on the tour were unique. The only downside was discovering a delicious cheese we are not likely to find at home. Great reason to return to Paris! Thank you Stephen! Written May 17, 2022 —– Paris by Mouth – North Marais Food Tour with Andres Medrano was excellent! We sampled wines, cheese, charcuterie, chocolates, and of course, the breads. The award winning Boulangerie with the most incredible croissants was amazing. Andres was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and went above and beyond to provide follow-up information and also provided recommendations for area restaurants and shops. Definitely one of the best food tours we’ve been on. Highly recommended. Written May 16, 2022 —– North Marais Tour with Deniz was simply the best tour I have ever taken. Deniz was so knowledgeable and warm. Her food choices were impeccable and she explained everything very clearly. I learned so much and it was a great time with a friendly group. Highly recommend! Written May 16, 2022 —– Really good food tour. I’ve done food tours in loads of different cities and this one is really great. Our guide was really knowledgeable, accommodating and enthusiastic. Written May 15, 2022 —– My husband & I were in Paris in April and had a wonderful Left Bank walking tour with Stephen from ‘Paris by Mouth’. It was one of the best (if not THE BEST) tour we have ever taken. We went to learn about & Stephen purchased award winning products – baguettes & croissants, cheeses, chocolate, desserts, and wine. Stephens breadth of knowledge and experience was incredible. We ended up in a quaint wine shop to partake of our delicious food & drink. It was a small group (6 in our tour) and we had a wonderful time. This is truly a tour not to miss. We plan to do another one of their tours the next time we are in Paris. Written May 14, 2022 —– Diane was our guide and she did a tremendous job. She was informative, funny and knowledgeable. It was my favorite tour in Paris. Highly recommended! Written May 14, 2022 —– This guided food tour of the Marais was one of our favorite tours of our whole trip….our guide, Diane…originally from the US with a resume that would impress every foodie….Diane is the real deal and taught us SO much about what makes for the best Boulangerie—award winning croissants & baguettes…fromageries that age the cheese on site…charcuteries w the best meats & pates…the best chocolates…and lastly—awesome wines from the great regions of France where we sat at a table and tasted all of our delicacies together…it is NOT to be missed….We were in touch w Diane later in our stay for other recommendations in the 7th where we tried to replicate our experience and had a picnic in the park…my suggestion is to do the tour early in your stay so you can use your knowledge for the time you are in France Written May 14, 2022 —– Our South Marais food tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris. After a warm welcome from Aurelien, our extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide, we spent the next 3.5 hours in food paradise—visiting exquisite shops, learning about the history and uniqueness of each place we visited, and sampling the most incredible wines, cheeses, breads and pastries. This is a not-to-be-missed experience when in Paris! Written May 14, 2022 —– I now understand why the Paris By Mouth tours are so popular: We had a delightful time discovering and eating our way through St. Germaine. The variety of purveyors and food/wine was perfect. We would not have found these places or delectable eats on our own, and the accompanying narrative throughout was great. Lynne was personable and super knowledgeable- She is clearly respected and known by the locals like the charismatic retired butcher and smiling cheese monger in the covered market and the debonaire guys that run the wine shop. This was a highlight of the trip. The size of group (8) was a nice format/pace & I’d highly recommend. Written May 13, 2022 —– It was rainy and freezing but the Left Bank tour with Isabelle was still super enjoyable and delicious. We came home with new knowledge and a taste for ashy French goat cheese! The croissants in California are now disappointing and can never compare. The best part was the wine and cheese pairings at the end. Our two teenagers enjoyed this tour as well. Isabelle followed up the tour with an email summary of the places we went and the cheeses and chocolates we enjoyed. I hope to be able to do this again someday. Highly recommend! Written May 11, 2022 —– The Marais tour with Andres was delightful and educational. The Marais Market, the Boulangerie, Chocolate maker, cheese shop, charcuterie shop were all top quality. Andres generously adjusted his selections to the tastes of some of the tour members. He was extremely knowledgeable about wines and cheeses. These tours are my favorite Paris experience. Written May 11, 2022 —– Our tour of St. Germain was the perfect kick-off for our trip to France. Jen, our guide, made a great tour into a fabulous life experience. She’s a great storyteller and super informed about all things food, but especially, cheese, bread, chocolate, and wine! Additionally, she’s a connector- so I credit her alchemist’s touch with turning what could have been an awkward experience- three couples traveling together and two complete strangers- into a rich and festive experience. We were all hoping to stay in touch by the end of the tour. Can’t say enough good things about the experience. The Olympia-Los Angeles crew. Written May 9, 2022 —– We had a lovely afternoon in Saint Germain with Diane enjoying treats we would never have discovered without this great tour! Diane was personable, knowledgable, and fun. Cannot recommend enough! Written May 8, 2022 —– We had a lovely food tour with Marie this week. We opted for the morning “North Marais” tour. Marie was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. There were only 6 people in our tour, which was nice. We visit a boulangerie and tried croissants and baguettes, a chocolatier and sampled exquisite chocolates. We then visited a few other stores, picking up items and learning about the food along the way. The final stop was at a wine store and Marie layed out bread, cheese and charcuterie to sample with a variety of wines. A different format than other food tours that we’ve been on, but it was delightful. Loved learning about the area as well as the food! Highly recommend!!! Written May 7, 2022 —– We went on the St Germaine tour with Lynne and it was one of the main highlights of our trip so far! Lynne is an amazing guide; very personable as well as extremely knowledgeable about food. Would HIGHLY recommend any tour with her – so fun and enjoyable. We began at Poilane Bakery and its rich Parisien history, next Champon Chocolaterie (oh wow! Leonidas Belgian chocolate is my all time favorite, but this has changed my opinion about French chocolate), then finished at the Marche Couvert St Germain (covered market). I got to try many different things with a great group and a guide truly passionate about food, making it so much more fun! Do it!!! Great experience and sooo fun! What other tours are you doing Lynne? We’re here another week ….. Written May 4, 2022 —– This was my second tour with Paris by Mouth, and it was once again fabulous and informative. I not only learned a lot about food and culture in Paris, but got to meet some fantastic people as well. Jennifer, our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly, and helped all of us enjoy the experience. Would happily attend another tour and would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting an authentic and tasty experience to remember in Paris! Written May 2, 2022 —– We took our first Paris by Mouth tour last week with Stephen exploring Marais. What a fantastic experience! He clearly knows the shopkeepers well and picked out wonderful cheese, chocolate, and wine for us. Stephen is charming and knowledgable and flexed when he needed to – a film was being made at the boulangerie that he had picked out – but he quickly found another for our baguettes! The people in our small group were also charming and interesting. Loved the cave-like setting for our tasting. Written May 2, 2022 —– My husband and I did a food tour of St. Germain with Diane and it was just fantastic. It was our second tour with Paris by Mouth (the last one was pre-pandemic in the Marais.) Diane is an expert and really knows her way around the best that Paris has to offer. I was really excited to start our tour at Poilane, the famous bakery and from there we moved on to chocolate, cheese, charcuterie, and wine. What more could you ask for? The tour ended on a cute little terrace outside a wine cave where we tasted and talked about everything we had seen and more. Highly recommend a tour with Paris by Mouth and Diane on your next trip to Paris! (And I don’t even eat meat.) Written May 2, 2022 —– Diane, was an excellent host as we meandered around Saint Germain, popping into bakeries, chocolate shops, markets & finally settling in for a wine & cheese tasting.

This was my 1st Paris food tour & to be honest, I wasn’t expecting much. I’m not a fan of group activities with strangers & I live in NYC, a food mecca. However, my expectations were blown away. First, by the bakery (Poilane), 2nd a chocolate shop we stopped in (Patrick Roger) (both of these were on my list to check out, outside of this food tour) & 3rd, Diane’s knowledge, plus her ability to keep a diverse group of people engaged & very happy (2 NYers were in our group, not an easy feat).

At Poilane, Diane has pre-purchased treats for us to try immediately & some for later. She shared lots of history & helpful tid-bits including how to tell a GREAT croissant from an eh, you don’t want that kind of croissant (I’ve passed on many croissants since gaining this invaluable information). Patrick Roger was not part of the scheduled tour, but when we walked by I asked to stop & Diane was more than accommodating (A+++ customer service). At the market, Diane purchases several kinds of cheese & pate & I took several pictures of cheese & pate. This market is just what you want a French market to be.

Post the market we settled in for the wine & cheese tasting. Our group was lively & the more wine we drank the livelier we got – chatting about who we were & what we’d done since arriving in Paris – in between chatter Diane shared details of the wine & cheese pairings (history, region, seasonality, etc.) We even tried the ‘fancy French way” to aerate our wine (I’m still practicing so I can show off at dinners & parties). Be sure to ask her about this on her tour, it’s impressive! What’s also impressive is that we ALL tried the varieties of pate!

I was quite surprised to receive an email from Diane a few days later with all the details about our tour. This made me so very happy (since I didn’t take any notes). Now I can find all the bread, chocolate, cheeses & pates we had in Paris here in NYC (my new favorite: ash goats milk cheese). Written May 1, 2022 —– We took our Paris by Mouth tour the first full day we were in Paris so that we could get a good understanding of our week-long home – St. Germain. Lynn met us at the local bakery, Polane, where we began our education of the most beautiful French food and wine. Lynn taught us the term MOF which is the most esteemed, hard-earned designation in France. My group then spent the rest of our time while in Paris looking for MOFs and although they are not easy to find, it did make our trip even more fun. Lynn is very knowledgable and made our tour relaxing, entertaining and delicious. Lynn also gave us recommendations for dinner which we followed for lovely, truly delectable French food. I highly recommend this tour! Bon Appetite everyone! Written May 1, 2022 —– Learning about place and culture through the beauties of food creation is especially meaningful in France. The tour we did of North Marais opened up a much deeper appreciation of all aspects of French cuisine. Our guide Isabelle shared both joy and knowledge about the creators and the sellers of stunning delights. We also had a really fun group. Written May 1, 2022 —– Diane was an amazing tour guide and this tour was the highlight of our trip. The cheese, baguettes, croissants, wine and chocolate were the best we’ve ever had. A must see when in Paris! Written May 1, 2022 —–

My husband and my step-grandma took the taste tour in 2008 and we still have a blast nowadays. Everyday when I wake up I still think about this Crémeux de Bourgogne we ate. I wish I could go back to Paris

My wife and I took the wine and cheese tour in August of 2020. We had a blast. Despite having visited Paris multiple times, the tour really provided us with new information, new tastes, and a lot of fun and laughs. Would recommend it 10/10.

Thanks Shawn, we’re thrilled that you loved your tour! – Meg

Hi Katie! We’re hoping to announce that and open bookings next week! We’ll email you 🙂

My friend and I took your French wine seated tour in July of 2017 and absolutely loved it! We learned so much and had a wonderful time! We are returning this July with our husbands and would love to take another of your tours. When do you expect to reopen your tours?

Our Paris By Mouth Tour with Diane on 12/19 was incredible. My husband and I have been coming to Paris for over 20 years so to go to places we haven’t been was a treat. Diane was very informative and made you feel welcome and as though you were an old friend. We will definitely book another tour when we come to Paris again.

Tours in Paris

Few places can elevate humble cuisine to such delicious heights quite like Paris. You haven’t really eaten bread until you’ve tried a freshly baked  baguette tradition , and just a handful of kitchen staples come together to make bistro classics like onion soup.

And don’t even get us started on the pastries. Flaky, buttery croissants and perfectly handcrafted macarons are reason enough to start counting down the days until your trip.

10 Amazing Paris Tours for Kids Worth Booking

Our family has been to Paris twice. We most recently went on a Paris family vacation in June 2022 with our 8-year-old and 5-year-old. We love doing tours, so we added a bunch to our Paris itinerary .

These are the ones that we recommend to anyone visiting Paris with kids .

Scavenger Hunt at the Musee d’Orsay

This was the BEST tour of Paris we’ve done as a family! Our guide Caroline was a former elementary school teacher and she basically became a private art history tour for our kids for 2 hours at the Musee d’Orsay.

One of the best Paris tours for families is this scavenger hunt at the Musee d'Orsay. Image of a woman helping two kids paint in front of a painting

We initially booked this tour for our family trip to Paris because it said it was a scavenger hunt for kids . I figured it would be a worksheet where the kids checked off the artwork we saw during the tour. I was totally wrong!

She provided each kid with professional-looking booklets with scavenger hunt activities (like finding the bird in the painting). However, she also had them sit and use pastels to draw their own version of the paintings.

Image of a woman helping a boy learn about art at the Musee d'Orsay in Paris

She also had them mimic some of the poses in the painting and she took and printed photos right on the spot for them to paste into their booklets.

I’ve never seen my kids so engaged in an art museum before!

Oh, and at the end of the tour, each kid earned a goodie bag filled with all kinds of Paris souvenirs and a medal. They wore the medals around their necks for the following 3 days! Check the latest rates and availability .

Scavenger Hunt at the Louvre

I know that I said that I was just sharing tours we have personally done, but I feel compelled to also mention that Caroline does similar kid-friendly scavenger hunts at the Louvre Museum.

We didn’t have time to do it on our last trip, but both of my kids told me they want to do it next time we do a family vacation in Paris.

The Louvre is super overwhelming, so this is a great intro for kids. Check the latest rates and availability .

Paris food tour.

When we travel, we always want to know where to eat. So, we booked The Top Croissants of Paris — French Food Walk for our first full day in Paris.

It was incredible! And it’s one of the top Paris food tours for families.

Image of a woman giving macarons to a little boy in a garden in Paris

We actually tasted much more than croissants! There were gourmet macarons, French bread, pastries, cheeses, wine, and so much more!

The samples were huge and our kids were actually full 2/3 through the tour. It ended with wine, cheese, and bread, in the basement of a wine shop and our group chatted for an extra couple of hours and it was fabulous!

Image of a shelf of French cheese

My husband was smart and bought a few of the croissants and pastries during the tour so we had an easy breakfast for the next day! Check the latest rates and availability .

Paris Greeters

This is actually a tour of Paris that we did 5 years ago but it was so amazing that I wanted to include it in this list. Read our full Paris Greeters review .

It’s technically a volunteer-led “walk” through a neighborhood in Paris as opposed to an official tour. And it’s completely free.

Image of a mom holding a baby talking to a gentleman in Paris

It’s a private walk, so it’s just your family and the local Parisian. It’s perfect for exploring outside of the main tourist areas of Paris. Plus, you can get local tips and advice.

We wanted to do it on our last Paris trip, but the program hadn’t re-opened yet. Check availability here .

Book a Family Photo Shoot

Whenever we travel, we almost always book a family photo shoot with Flytographer. They are super easy, affordable, AND guarantee that I’ll be in some photos. You can get $25 off if you book through this link or use the code HAWAIITRAVEL.

Unexpected Gossip Tour of Paris

Are you ever curious about the people who shaped history but don’t really get credit for it?

We had the best time on this Paris history tour . Our guide was dressed up in the latest 1700s fashion and told our kids she was a time traveler!

Image of a woman dressed in a 1700s costume talking to two boys at the Louvre Museum

We learned all about what really happened on Bastille Day and who invented the first souvenir. It’s a pretty crazy story!

Our guide also walked us to the Louvre courtyard where we learned how the Mona Lisa was stolen as well as how the French protected the artwork of the Louvre during WWII.

There was one section where the story got a little too gross for our 8-year-old and 5-year-old, but I think tweens and teens would find it fascinating. Check the latest rates and more information .

We ended up booking this Tootbus sort of last-minute when we realized that we needed to be out and about to combat severe jet lag.

Image of two boys on a double decker bus in front of the Eiffel Tower

It’s a double-decker Paris hop on hop off bus tour . They have audio guides available in a bunch of different languages and they even have a kids’ version. My husband did it and thought it was really interesting.

Image of a man on a double decker bus in front of the Arc de Triomphe

My kids mostly liked sitting on the upper deck and just looking around. We saw Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, and a lot of other places. Plus, it was fun to people watch. Check the latest rates and availability .

Paris by Tuk Tuk

This is another tour that we did 5 years ago, but it was super fun! You can ride around Paris in an electric TukTuk with your own guide. Read our full Paris Tuk Tuk review .

Photo of TukTuk in Paris, a tuk tuk Paris tour for kids and families #tuktuktour #pariswithkids #paristour #tourofparis #familytravel

My kids loved waving at the other drivers and people walking on the sidewalk. We got to zip around town and see a mix of popular attractions as well as hidden spots with amazing views.

We stopped at a lot of places that we never would have found on our own.

While you’ll see some knock-off versions around Paris attractions, it’s good to book this tour if you want to actually be toured around versus transportation between attractions. Check the latest rates and availability .

Eiffel Tower Summit Access Group Tour

We didn’t visit the Eiffel Tower 5 years ago because we didn’t have reserved tickets and the lines were insanely long.

I wasn’t about to make that mistake again.

Image of a mom and boy taking a selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower

So, we pre-booked skip-the-line Eiffel Tower tickets that included a group tour as well as summit access. This is a must-do when traveling to Paris with kids.

While a guided tour isn’t really necessary, our guide played a game with the kids that helped pass the time we were waiting for elevators. And they won an Eiffel Tower keychain.

Image of a dad and two boys taking photos at the Eiffel Tower

The tour actually ended on the 2nd floor and then we went up to the summit on our own.

They do have a Laduree (for macarons) up at the summit as well as champagne you can purchase if you want to have a little celebration on top of the Eiffel Tower.

You’ll definitely want to add this to your itinerary since it’s one of the most iconic attractions in Paris for kids. Check the latest rates and availability .

Julia Child Food Tour

If you are a fan of the famous chef Julia Child, you’ll know that she lived in Paris for a few years and that’s where she really learned French cooking. And you’ll definitely want to take this Paris food tour !

Image of a woman pointing at a blue door where Julia Child lived in Paris

You’ll meet at the Shakespeare & Co bookstore where you can purchase a copy of one of Julia’s cookbooks.

This tour takes you to several places with her favorite French food items (like pastries, crepes, and quiches). And you’ll end up in her own neighborhood where you can see where she lived and eat at a restaurant she frequented.

Image of a quiche on top of a salad in Paris

The portions are large and extremely tasty! Check the latest rates and more information .

My kids loved almost all of the food stops (who doesn’t love sweet crepes, chocolate eclairs, and macarons), but it’s a lot of walking to get to the last stop. I definitely recommend a stroller if you have little ones.

Giverny and Versailles Day Tour

So, I’m listing this tour last only because it’s a super long day and might not work for all families. Personally, we thought it provided a lot of value for our family.

It’s a 10-hour bus tour that leaves Paris and takes you to Giverny (Monet’s home and garden), lunch in the countryside, and the Palace of Versailles before returning back to Paris.

Image of two boys standing in front of a green door at Giverny in Paris

Versailles is a popular day trip from Paris . And typically Giverny would be a separate day trip that’s less common. Combining these works if you don’t have many days in Paris but want to see things outside of the city.

We did this tour knowing that we’ll be visiting Paris again within the next few years and could go back and spend longer at one or both of the sites.

This tour spent 2 hours at Giverny and we could probably have stayed another hour to just enjoy the atmosphere.

Image of a boy posing in front of a statue at Versailles in Paris.

We did feel rushed at Versailles (we only had 20 minutes in the gardens before heading to our timed tour inside the palace). But, our kids couldn’t have lasted much longer there anyway. Read our full Versailles with kids review .

We did the guided tour, but I personally would recommend the self-guided option for families with younger kids. That way you can go at your own pace and have a little more flexibility. Check the latest rates and availability .

Fun Things to do in Paris FAQs

You’ll definitely want to ride a few of the carousels in Paris. They are often by top Paris attractions like the Eiffel Tower. There are some awesome scavenger hunts at Paris art museums. And the Paris Tootbus has a special kid-friendly tour.

There are way too many cool things to do in Paris to pick just one. The Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe are pretty cool to see in person. There are also tons of art museums in Paris like the Louvre and the Musee d’Orsay. My personal favorite thing to do in Paris is grabbing some tasty food items and eat them at Jardin du Luxembourg.

Paris has a reputation for being a fashion capital, which is only helped by the hit Netflix show Emily in Paris . You’ll find tons of fancy stores along the Champs-Elysees or cool boutiques on side streets. Paris is also known for its incredible cuisine. Head to a French restaurant to taste immaculate sauces and fresh seafood. Paris is also an Arts destination. You can find world-renowned art museums as well as the opera and ballet.
