DELIVERING THE MOST BRUTAL THRASH METAL FOR OVER 40 YEARS!

Vicious thrash metal legends Destruction have embarked on their grand 40 Years Of Destruction anniversary tour throughout South America and Europe – catapulting their fans straight into the seventh heaven of metallic bliss! The band – known as one of the Big Teutonic 4 – will celebrate their biggest hits and most legendary uncompromising killer riffs alongside new tracks taken from their recently released album,  Diabolical , that entered German Charts at #12. 

This incredibly wild ride begins today and caters pure thrash metal sound to their fans in Mexico, Chile, Argentina and Ecuador, before sharpening the axe for Europe. Kicking off in Berlin on October 17, Destruction   will raid along  Whiplash ,  Enforcer  and  Crisix , and prove that they’re stronger than they’ve ever been in their four decades of thrash metal reign!

Die deutschen Thrash Metal Meister DESTRUCTION bestätigen Tourtermine für Europa im Oktober und November. Unter dem Titel „40 YEARS OF DESTRUCTION“ European Tour 2023 werden außerdem die kanadischen Thrash Metaller RAZOR, die schwedischen Oldschool Metal Könige ENFORCER und die spanischen Thrash Maniacs von CRISIX mit dabei sein.

Frontmann Schmier kommentiert:

“We got an amazing line up together – this 40 years anniversary tour is for sure a huge milestone of my career! It is still very special to me to be able to perform and tour after all these years. When I started the band we could not imagine that we could get that far, create such a legacy and go on for so long. It is a big gift and I wanna share it with our fans on this European tour! • As I Lay Dying

San Diego quintet AS I LAY DYING announces "Two Decades Of Destruction" European 2022 Tour. The 29-date tour kicks off in Germany with stops in France, Sweden, and Italy before returning to Germany for the Impericon Festivals. Joining the band on the trek are DYING FETUS and EMMURE with select dates including FIT FOR A KING.

Tim Lambesis states, "I’m incredibly grateful to have a chance to go back out on tour and for the tremendous support we‘ve had on the 'Shaped By Fire' touring cycle so far. When I started AS I LAY DYING I never imagined we’d have a chance to travel the world as we have, and now we’ll be going back to places that feel like a second home at times. The band has been such an important part of my life personally, so it is very meaningful to see our music connect with so many other people as well."

"It's a huge milestone for the band to reach the 20-year mark, something which couldn't have been done without the support and encouragement from our fans" comments Phil Sgrosso. "We feel that it is our responsibility to them to keep pushing ourselves in providing better music and a better live show. The band's latest album, Shaped By Fire, was produced by AS I LAY DYING and was mixed by Joseph McQueen at Sparrow Sound in Los Angeles, CA while mastering was completed by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in Nashville, TN. The only exception was for the track “My Own Grave” which was produced by AS I LAY DYING , co-produced by Drew Fulk and mixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood. The artwork was created by Corey Meyers.

WITHIN DESTRUCTION  have announced a European tour!

The tour, set for November this year, will see the Slovenian slam band touring across mainland Europe and the UK in support of their new album, Yōkai , which is scheduled to be released in August.

The procession ended at Schlossplatz, where Lahm – who spent two seasons at Stuttgart – and Šašić handed the trophy over to Cacau and Stuttgart mayor Frank Nopper in front of the historic Neues Schloss. Also in attendance were three-time Olympic gymnast and Host City ambassador Elisabeth Seitz, and Deputy Minister President of Baden-Württemberg, Thomas Strobl.

On Saturday, the event is moving to the Königsbau Passagen, where supporters can view and take photos with the cup throughout the day.

Stuttgart is set to host four group-stage matches at UEFA EURO 2024, including Germany v Hungary in Group A, and will make ‘the whole city a stadium’ during UEFA EURO 2024, with four fan zones featuring a range of entertainment and activities.

And while the report doesn’t include factors like hotels and airfare, it helps give a good sense of where your dollars will stretch the furthest.

This is the 18th year that the Post Office has done this report. And the good news: Prices have fallen since last year in 25 spots on the list. (A note that the original report included prices in pounds sterling, which have been converted into dollars here.)

Leading the list as the cheapest place to travel right now is Hoi An, Vietnam. According to the Post Office report, a total estimated cost of just $64.54 a day for the travel essentials makes this charming gem the ultimate bang-for-your-buck destination that won’t break the bank. Located on the central coast of Vietnam, Hoi An entices visitors with its UNESCO -recognized Ancient Town, a picturesque spot where lantern-lit streets lead to quaint shops and street food stalls. Nakajima in command

Nakajima will take a four-shot lead into the final round as he goes in search of a maiden DP World Tour title. The Japanese has been on top of the leaderboard since day one and followed up back-to-back 65s with a 68 to get to 18 under and match the biggest 54-hole lead of the season so far. Malaysia's Green carded a brilliant, bogey-free 64 to sit at 14 under alongside Frenchman Romain Langasque, who signed for a 70. Italian Matteo Manassero and France's Jeong weon Ko were then five back but all eyes will be on Nakajima as he looks to claim the second wire-to-wire win of the 2024 campaign.

Green means go

Green 's 64 was the lowest round of the day by two shots and second lowest of the week after Espen Kofstad's course-record 62 on Friday. A chip-in on the eighth was the highlight and he added six further birdies - including two to finish - to put himself in contention for a first win. "It was a solid round," he said. "Lots of fairways, gave myself lots of looks and made some putts. That’s the difference, you’ve got to hit fairways out here. It’s intimidating off the tee. I felt like today was a nice step in the right direction. We’re just going to go out and play our game, keep it on the fairway, keep it on the green, add it all up at the end and see what happens."

Romania and Bulgaria partially join Europe’s Schengen travel zone, but checks at land borders remain

SOFIA, Bulgaria — Romania and Bulgaria partially joined Europe’s ID-check-free travel zone on Sunday, marking a new step in the two countries’ integration with the European Union.

After years of negotiations to join the so-called Schengen area, there is now free access for travelers arriving by air or sea. Land border checks will remain in place, however, due to opposition primarily from Austria, which has long blocked their bid over illegal migration concerns.

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen hailed the change as a “huge success for both countries” and a “historic moment” for what is the world’s largest free travel zone.

The Schengen Area was established in 1985. Before Bulgaria and Romania’s admission, it was comprised of 23 of the 27 EU member countries, along with Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Around 3.5 million people cross an internal border each day.

Austria vetoed Romania and Bulgaria’s admission into the Schengen zone at the end of 2022 but allowed Croatia full accession. Bulgaria and Romania joined the EU in 2007 and Croatia in 2013.

Siegfried Muresan, a Romanian Member of the European Parliament, told The Associated Press that it is “an important first step” that will benefit millions of travelers annually.

“Bulgaria and Romania have been fulfilling all criteria for joining the Schengen area for years — we are entitled to join with the terrestrial border as well,” he said, adding that it “will offer additional arguments to the last EU member state that has been vetoing the full accession.”

Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu called it a “well-deserved achievement” for Romania that he said will benefit citizens who can travel more easily and will bolster the economy.

“We have a clear and firmly assumed government plan for full accession to the Schengen Area by the end of the year,” he said.

The EU’s executive branch, the European Commission, has said for more than a decade that Romania and Bulgaria both meet the technical criteria for full accession, which requires unanimous support from their partners. Both countries have agreed to implement random security screening at airports and maritime borders to combat illegal migration and cross-border crime.

While lifting border controls on air and sea ports is expected to positively impact the tourism sector, members of the European Parliament have voiced concerns about long queues at the EU’s land borders and the impact it can have on trade in the bloc’s single market, as well as the health and safety of drivers.

Truck drivers are frequently stuck in kilometers-long queues at the borders of both Romania and Bulgaria. The Union of International Carriers in Bulgaria estimates delays cost the sector tens of millions of euros each year.
