Mongolia tours from Singapore
Mongolia tour package from singapore.
Traveling to Mongolia from Singapore offers a fascinating journey filled with cultural richness, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable experiences.
Here’s a detailed guide to help you plan your trip:
Flight options from singapore to ulaanbaatar (capital city of mongolia).
There are multiple flight options to reach Mongolia from Singapore. The most convenient route usually involves a connecting flight from Singapore Changi Airport to Chinggis Khan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s capital city through Seoul (South Korea), or through Beijing (China). Several airlines offer connecting flights, including Air China, Korean Air and MIAT Mongolian Airline.
Visa Requirements:
Singaporean passport holders are generally required to obtain a visa before entering Mongolia. You can apply for a tourist visa through the Embassy of Mongolia in Singapore or via reputable travel agencies. It is advisable to check the visa requirements and processing time well in advance before your trip.
Best Time to Visit Mongolia for Singaporeans:
Mongolia’s weather is characterized by extreme seasons. The best time to visit is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is pleasant and ideal for outdoor activities, including trekking and exploring the vast landscapes. However, if you’re interested in experiencing winter activities like Eagle hunting tours or attending the famous Eagle festival, Ice Festival, visiting between The end of September and March would be ideal.
Duration and Itinerary in Mongolia:
The recommended duration for a trip to Mongolia is at least 10 days to fully immerse yourself in the country’s natural wonders and cultural treasures. Here’s a suggested itinerary:
Start your journey in Ulaanbaatar, where you can explore the city’s historical sites, such as Gandan Monastery, the National Museum, and the bustling Narantuul Market.
Next, venture into the beautiful wilderness of Terelj National Park, located just outside the city. Enjoy horseback riding, visit unique rock formations like Turtle Rock, and experience the traditional nomadic lifestyle by staying in a ger camp.
Journey towards the vast Gobi Desert, where you can witness towering sand dunes, encounter the famous Mongolian Bactrian camels, visit the Flaming Cliffs (Bayanzag), and explore the stunning Yol Valley in Gurvansaikhan National Park.
Head west to Kharkhorin, once the capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit the legendary Erdene Zuu Monastery and explore the ruins of ancient Karakorum.
If you would like to do outdoor activities such as trekking or hiking the best place for visiting would be Altai Tavan Bogd national park in western Mongolian Bayan-Olgii province.
Accommodation:
In major cities like Ulaanbaatar, you’ll find a range of accommodation options, from luxury hotels to budget-friendly guesthouses. When venturing into more remote areas, staying in traditional nomadic ger camps provides an authentic experience. These camps offer comfortable ger (yurt) accommodations, often with shared facilities, allowing you to appreciate the nomadic lifestyle and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Transportation:
Domestic flights are available between Ulaanbaatar and various cities within Mongolia, making it easier to explore different regions. For shorter distances, road travel by private car or organized tours is a popular option. It’s advisable to hire experienced drivers or join guided tours to navigate the vast landscapes, especially in remote areas where road conditions can be challenging.
Cultural Etiquette:
Mongolian culture is deeply rooted in nomadic traditions and hospitality. It is customary to greet locals with a slight bow or handshake. When visiting monasteries or religious sites, it’s important to dress modestly and remove your shoes before entering. It’s also polite to ask for permission before taking photos of people, particularly the nomadic communities and their livestock.
With its rugged beauty, rich history, and warm hospitality, Mongolia offers a truly unique and unforgettable travel experience. Remember to plan ahead, pack accordingly for the weather conditions, and embrace the spirit of adventure while immersing yourself in the fascinating Mongolian culture.
7D6N Ultimate Mongolia Gobi Desert Tour

It is definitely a destination on every explorer's bucket list - with natural wonders like the Gobi Desert and annual festivals such as Naadam. - Visit the Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs) : More commonly known as the ‘Flaming Cliffs’ thanks to the reddish tint in the soil that glows as the sun falls. the eerie beauty of the surrounding landscape is a good reason to visit.

The arrangements made were fantastic, the city and expedition guides were friendly and always listened to us and understood our needs throughout the whole journey. Mongolia had always been at the back of my mind. I was curious about their nomadic lifestyle, culture and heritage. Beyond Expeditions opened up the opportunity for me to experience all this.
The 13 days (we had a 33-hour flight delay due to adverse weather) flew by and there weren’t any dull periods. I’m not sure if it’s the same for the other groups but the 3 of us (an unlikely trio of solo travellers) shared countless laughs and inside jokes that we hold dear. Have an open mind and heart, and give yourselves the chance of a life-changing experience. And perhaps like me, you may realise we are capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for.
NICHOLAS JOEL
The Gobi Desert was simply breathtaking. For every new location that we went to, I had to take a moment to absorb the sights and sounds of the immense scenery. There were wild livestock as far as the eye can see, much more so than people, and the nomadic families that we stayed with were affable. My favourite part of the expedition were the nights where we stood outside our yurts and just took in the view of the billions of visible stars around us. My only regret was that I did not decide to go for a longer expedition. 10/10 would go again.
It’s amazing how BE arranged the logistics, the traveling van to our convenience, and the drivers, chef and the Mongolians were really super friendly. The beautiful scenery, camels, goats, horses, and starry nights made me fall in love with Mongolia. Not forgetting the Mongolian yurt, which was so comfortable to stay and sleep in! I will definitely visit again next time.
Huiping Tan
Here’s what I got from this trip.
I got to experience life. I got to stretch my comfort level. I got to discover my own limits, to re-calibrate my boundaries. I got to reaffirm that having basic needs met is all that matters, and appreciating and making do with whatever I have. I got to marvel at the resiliency, tenacity, creativity, simplicity and humanity of humankind and all these... are priceless.
Scott and the team have made my virgin trip to Mongolia’s Gobi desert absolutely amazing. I thoroughly soaked in the vast picturesque desert landscapes, wild livestock, breathtaking night skies and loved interacting with the nomadic families and sleeping in their traditional yurts. I highly recommend you to book a trip with them, whether it’s a private tour or group expedition! You will not regret it a single bit. Was bittersweet to leave Mongolia and I’m already looking forward to join their North Mongolia trip.
I have never been to the real wilderness before - the closest was probably random road trips but it was nothing like Mongolia. The ambience and the experience are so raw! I’ve never understood what freedom is, until I watched how the nomads live. I felt like I’ve went on a self-discovery trip. I managed to experience new things that I may not get the chance to. I learned that the world is so beautiful and amazing in all ways, Mongolia I’ll definitely come back for you!!!
JESSIE JEANNINE
My sincere advice to anyone planning to take a trip to Mongolia is that you need to keep an open mind and forget about the plan and details. Live in the moment. Take in the rolling green steppes, vast blue skies, endless grasslands dotted with livestocks and ger. Play with the animals, play with the kids. Make the best of each situation. Observe and live like a Mongolian. Get over yourself and do things that you’ve never done before.
CHUNG YONGXI
Personally, Mongolia encompasses many things: from hospitable locals who take pride in their traditions to experienced drivers with a witty sense of humour, from star-filled skies to the beautiful lakes and plains basking beneath them. It is a place that reminds you of what raw beauty truly looks and feels like - that sometimes, you don’t really need all the excess ‘baggage’ to truly experience happiness. It also reminds you that the world is so much bigger than you think and how important it is to stay curious and inquisitive. I am definitely returning home with more than I had arrived with… it has reinvigorated my interest and curiosity about the world.

General Travel Advice
Overseas Travel – Be Informed & Be Safe [Updated on 5 February 2024]
Singaporeans planning overseas travel are reminded to take the necessary precautions, including being prepared to deal with accidents, natural disasters or terrorist attacks. Singaporeans are also reminded to be familiar with your destination’s local laws, customs, and COVID-19 regulations.
Demonstrations do occur in major cities across the world. Such demonstrations can sometimes escalate into violence. It is important for Singaporeans to keep abreast of local news, avoid any protests or demonstrations and heed the advice of the local authorities.
When participating in outdoor leisure activities overseas, Singaporeans should be mindful that certain sporting activities, especially in open seas, may carry risks. Besides ensuring that one has the physical competencies and appropriate condition to undertake the activity, every effort should be made to ascertain if the trip organiser or guide is reliable and competent, and that appropriate safety and contingency plans are in place. When in doubt, Singaporeans should consult the relevant professional bodies or sporting associations for specific advice.
For those planning to travel, here are some tips:
Before travelling
- Familiarise yourself with our network of overseas missions.
- Purchase comprehensive travel insurance and be familiar with the terms and coverage.
- Equip yourself with research about your destination’s entry requirements, current situation, local laws and customs.
- eRegister with us on our website ( www.mfa.gov.sg ) so that we may reach out to you during an emergency.
While travelling
- Always take care of your personal safety, remain vigilant and monitor local weather news, advisories, and security developments.
- Exercise caution around large gatherings and avoid locations known for demonstrations or disturbances.
- Be prepared for possible delays and last-minute changes in travel plans especially during unforeseen events such as natural disasters, social unrest or terror attacks.
- Stay connected with your friends and family. Inform them of your whereabouts and provide them with your overseas contact details.
- In the event that you require consular assistance, please contact the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission or call the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Duty Office at +65 6379 8800/+65 6379 8855.
Advisory: Email Scams
There have been reports of individuals receiving scam emails/messages purportedly sent from friends in distress overseas. These emails/messages typically originate from an email address/social media known to the receiver bearing claims of the sender getting into trouble overseas and urgently requesting financial assistance. The sender would also claim to have approached a Singapore Embassy/Consulate and the local Police for help to no avail.
MFA takes the safety of all Singaporeans very seriously. Singaporeans in distress approaching our Overseas Missions for assistance will be rendered with all necessary consular assistance. If you receive such emails/messages from purported friends seeking funds transfers, we strongly advise you to call them first to verify the authenticity of the emails/messages before responding to their request. It is also not advisable to give out any personal information such as NRIC/passport numbers, address, telephone number, etc. Any form of reply, even one of non-interest, could result in more unsolicited emails. Members of the public who suspect that they have fallen prey to such scams should report the matter to the Police immediately. Should Singaporeans abroad require consular assistance, they can contact the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission or call the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 24-hr Duty Office at +65 6379 8800/+65 6379 8855.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a ministry of the Government of Singapore responsible for conducting and managing diplomatic relations between Singapore and other countries and regions.
