The Ultimate Guide to visiting the Wembley Stadium Tours

Wembley stadium tour ultimate guide.

Given that it was a venue for the 2012 London Olympic Games, and even the historic 1985 Live Aid concert, you don’t necessarily have to be a hardcore sports fan to appreciate all that the Wembley Stadium Tour has to offer.

Wembley Stadium as it is known as today officially opened in 2007, and was built on the same site as the original Wembley Stadium which hosted the 1948 Olympic Games as well as the 1966 World Cup Final. After the original stadium was demolished in 2003, the new Wembley Stadium took over four years and £790 million to complete, and is now known to be the largest stadium in the UK.

The Wembley Stadium Tour, on the other hand, has been around since 1978, and has attracted millions of sports enthusiasts (and even non-sports enthusiasts) from all over the world.

  • England Manager’s “hot-seat” in the Press Room
  • The 1966 World Cup crossbar
  • The original flag from London’s 1948 Olympic Games
  • Steven Gerrard’s 2005 captain armband
  • Graeme Souness’ three winning medals from 1978, 1981 and 1984

Visitors will also get the chance to lift up the FA Cup for a commercial photo, and buy some unique sports memorabilia at the Wembley Stadium Store, which offers everything from English and Wembley merchandise, to footballs, scarves, caps, replica kits and much more.

That said, since they don’t have matches every day, availability for this tour is much more limited.

NOTE: Since the ticket price often varies for matches, the price of this tour also depends on when you make reservations. Given that tickets can be pretty expensive, you can expect this VIP experience to cost even more!

The views of the playing surface are fantastic from anywhere. Generally speaking it is in a fairly sterile area and is served by Wembley Park Station. This place is nothing like a football ground, it's like an airport terminal surrounding a football pitch, in fact the atmosphere at the average airport terminal is far better. Wembley Stadium is the largest football stadium in England and second largest in Europe , with a capacity of 90,000! This colossal, multi-purpose structure opened in 2007, and stands on the site of the previous Wembley Stadium, which dominated the London skyline from 1923 to 2003, with its iconic twin towers at the entrance. The Old Wembley (previously called the Empire Stadium) was actually built by Sir Robert McAlpine, for housing the British Empire Exhibition of 1924-25. The plan was to demolish the structure after the exhibition, but this did not come to fruition thanks to one James Stevenson (thank god). The construction of the new and current Wembley Stadium began in 2003 and was completed in 2007. This state-of-the-art and standard-setting arena was inaugurated and made open to the public on 19th May, 2007, with the staging of the FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester United.

How to get the best Taylor Swift UK Eras Tour resale tickets and avoid the worst seats

These are the resale seats to grab at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour and which ones to avoid

  • 08:00, 12 APR 2024

wembley stadium tours tickets

Taylor Swift has been on the road with her mega popular Eras Tour for well over a year now, playing to tens of thousands of fans each night across the continents in North and south America, Australia and Japan, so far. Luckily for British Swifities, the queen of pop will be making the UK and Ireland her home for the next leg of the Eras tour in a matter of weeks.

While The Shake it Off singer will unfortunately not be playing in Manchester this time around, she will be within just an hour's drive of the city centre. Taylor is set to play three consecutive shows at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium in June, before heading down south to Cardiff and London.

Tickets for the Eras Tour sold out immediately when they went on sale last year. But fear not, as there are still ways to get your hands on some tickets. In fact, here is some information about which seats you should try and grab, which s eats to ignore and how to get the tickets on resale without spending an absolute fortune.

If videos on social media are anything to judge by, you’re in for a pretty special time if you end up nabbing floor seats. Even if you’re several rows back, floor seats are ideal if you really want to be in on the action, as everyone stands and joins in with each song. Just be aware that if you’re on the shorter side or are planning on taking kids with you, you may struggle to see everything over the sea of phones.

Tiered seating

Despite being further back, if you’re in the lower half of the tiered seating, you’ll get the best of both worlds, with clearer vision and less chaos around you. You’ll also be able to oversee all of the crowds below, meaning it’s a great place to take in the atmosphere.

Nosebleed seats, AKA seats right at the very back of the stadium, might be the furthest away from the stage, but they also give you a good overall view of the entire stadium. They also tend to be on the cheaper end, meaning they’re definitely worth considering if you’re looking to secure some Eras tour tickets this month.

Obstructed view

Obstructed view can mean a lot of things, from a big pole in the way, to a side seat with partial view of the stage. These kinds of seats are therefore the most budget-friendly, but it’s worth noting that in many cases, a partially obstructed view of the stage still gives you full view of the diamond, which is where a lot of the action is anyway.

So if you’re going to go for a seat with obstructed view, it’s best to find out what kind of obstruction you’re up against before buying. Let’s be real, if you’re lucky enough to get through the queue and secure your tickets, it’ll likely be more of a grab and go situation and you probably won’t have the time to be picky. hat being said, there are no bad seats at a Taylor Swift show, and wherever you end up you’ll still be able to soak in the atmosphere and sing your heart out.

How to get the tickets?

You can keep checking AXS and Ticketmaster for official tickets, as fans are able to resell theirs if they can no longer go. But those are likely to get snapped up insanely fast.

Instead, consider resale ticket websites. Viagogo and VividSeats are selling Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets. Those websites give you the opportunity to shop at your leisure, as tickets put up for sale by fans remain there until bought.

At the time of writing, the cheapest ticket on Viagogo for her gig at Anfield on June 14 cost £338. There were around 400 when we checked, but new ones keep getting added. On VividSeats , the cheapest ticket at the time of writing was $630, which amounts to roughly £498.

With people often concerned about using resale tickets, a Viagogo spokesperson told the Express: "Th e European leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour has been long anticipated. We’ve not seen anything like this since The Beatles and with tickets having only just gone on sale, demand is at its peak right now.

"Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee. Sellers on our marketplace may list tickets at high values when demand is high, but prices can change and tend to reduce over time.

"We recommend Swifties wait for demand to settle and check regularly for a listing that meets their budget. Tickets for Taylor Swift’s UK dates have already sold for as low as 172 GBP on our platform. Also, tickets listed at eye-catchingly high prices rely, if ever, sell."

AXS also released a statement: "The only way to obtain a valid ticket for Taylor Swift’s shows is via the approved ticket agents. In the UK, the approved ticket agents are: Ticketmaster, AXS or directly through the venue’s website. In Ireland, the approved ticket agent is Ticketmaster. Any tickets found to be purchased via re-sale on the non-official secondary market will not be valid for entry into the concerts and will be cancelled in accordance with the terms and conditions of sale."

"Through official resale facilities, ticket resale prices are capped to help combat the inflation of ticket prices and put a stop to ticket touting. For more information on official resale facilities, fans should visit the website of their approved ticket agent," they added.

Taylor Swift fans can still snap up Eras Tour resale tickets from Ticketmaster, Viagogo, VividSeats and more

T he countdown is well and truly underway for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which arrives in the UK in June. The tour will call in London, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Cardiff .

When tickets went on sale last year, demand was through the roof with pre-sale and general tickets selling out within 15 minutes. Despite going on to add more stadium dates to her list of shows, those thousands of tickets were snapped up extremely quickly as well.

However, this doesn't mean all hope is lost - in fact, there are a couple of ways Swifties can still get their hands on Eras Tour tickets. There are multiple sites where you can snap up resale tickets - and there's even a way to book tickets with a 'clear view' of the stage. Here's what you need to know.

Where to buy Taylor Swift resale tickets

A number of online retailers are offering fans to chance to snap up resale tickets, but it is important to remember that prices are set by the sellers - which means some fans could be paying much more than expected.

Some sites, including Viagogo and Vivid Seats, are not "official" retailers. However, these sits do have strict terms and conditions in place to protect buyers and sellers. These websites specialise in selling tickets that fans no longer want.

Here are the sites you'll need to know:

  • Viagogo - buy Taylor Swift resale tickets here
  • VividSeats - buy Taylor Swift resale tickets here
  • SeatGeek - buy Taylor Swift resale tickets here

There are also resale tickets available directly from Ticketmaster . You can find tickets here.

With people often concerned about using resale tickets, a Viagogo spokesperson told the Express: "The European leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour has been long anticipated.

How to get Taylor Swift tickets for low prices with 'clear view' of stage

According to the Mirror, there's a simple way to get your hands on Taylor Swift tickets without breaking the bank - and with a good view too. If you're willing to travel a bit further, you can snag tickets to see Taylor perform in Nanterre, just outside Paris, from around £430(at the time of writing) through Viagogo .

The Karma singer is playing at Paris La Defense Arena in Nanterre from May 9-12, which means you'd get to see the show before fans attending the UK gigs. There are still tickets up for grabs in the general admission standing section, as well as seating with an unobstructed view of the stage.

Of course, there are travel costs and hotel stays to consider by opting to see the singer outside of the UK, so it's worth giving it some thought as the whether its the right idea for you.

Warning to fans over 'fraudulent' ticket sellers

Swifties have been urged to remain vigilant after a number of fans were conned by 'fraudulent' ticket sellers. Fans should carefully check the ticket details to ensure their authenticity - including checking for accurate event information, including the date, time, and venue.

The police also recommend paying close attention to the seating section or assigned seats. Although not official retailers, Vivid Seats and Viagogo have a range of terms and conditions as well as safety protocols in place to protect fans from being scammed.

Blur's Damon Albarn didn't want to do second Wembley Stadium show

Share with :.

Damon Albarn wanted to cancel Blur's second Wembley Stadium comeback show - because he was “not into going onstage”.

The 'Parklife' hitmakers - comprising Damon Albarn, Dave Rowntree, Graham Coxon and Alex James - got back together for their first album in eight years, 'The Ballad of Darren', and a number of live shows, including two triumphant sold-out concerts at London's Wembley Stadium, last year, however, frontman Damon has confessed he was all set to pull out of the second night, until he saw the masses of fans walking up to the venue.

Speaking to KROQ during Coachella weekend one, he spilled: “I never thought I’d love Wembley. The first night was great, and then the next night, I didn’t want to do another gig. I was trying to find reasons to cancel it. I was sitting in a hotel at Wembley Park, like a Travelodge or something, and I was watching these people coming in and I was like, ‘Well I can’t cancel that.'"

He continued: “And it was actually, maybe the best gig in that time that you could ever, ever dream of having. But it was weird, I was really not into going onstage, and then I was onstage, and it was very nice to do that.”

Elsewhere, bassist Alex James teased their upcoming documentary about their return with their Wembley shows and releasing 'The Ballad Of Darren', their first studio album in eight years.

He said: “It’s eight years since we last did anything – even when we actually split up, it didn’t take that long to get it together. So there was a certain amount of jeopardy potentially at the beginning, trying to make a new record at this stage of your career. Most bands don’t even like each other 30 years in, let alone make decent records. I suppose there’s a lot to blame for. I guess if you like the band, it’s a good band. We filmed the shows at Wembley, and I never thought we’d top Glastonbury 2009.”

There's also a concert film in the works.

The raucous response the Britpop legends received on home turf was nothing like the lacklustre crowd at their Coachella set at the weekend, with Damon informing them the band won't be returning to the California festival, after the audience stayed silent during their performance of 'Girls and Boys', despite his calls for them to sing along.

How to get tickets to the Women’s FA Cup Final 2024 at Wembley Stadium

Be a part of history as the Women’s FA Cup Final comes to Wembley for the 10th time with Tottenham and Man United looking for their first-ever win. Here’s how you can get tickets.

The Women’s FA Cup Final is fast approaching and it looks like they’re on track for another record-breaking end to the tournament.

Last year, over 75,000 people gathered under the arch to watch Chelsea Women claim their fifth FA Cup trophy, and now we’re down to this year’s final two.

After a tense weekend of semi-finals, the Blues were finally unseated, losing out on the chance to go for a fourth consecutive win. Taking their place is Manchester United who beat the team 2-1 on the 14th of April.

On the other side, Tottenham took the final away from Leicester City, also beating them with a score of 2-1 at home.

In a nice bit of history-making, neither Tottenham or Man United has ever won the title, or even made it past the knockouts, which means this year's final will see a brand-new victor etched on that iconic trophy.

More like this

The Women’s FA Cup has been around since 1970 and was first known as the Mitre Challenge Trophy. Organised by the Women's Football Association, the tournament had 71 entrants, including teams from Scotland and Wales.

In the years since, the competition and its final has grown into a sell-out event and a stand-out moment in the football calendar. So, do you want a spot at this year’s match? Here’s how you can score yourself some tickets.

When and where is the women’s fa cup final 2024, how to get tickets to the women’s fa cup final 2024, how much do women’s fa cup final tickets cost, who won the women’s fa cup final 2023.

Last year’s trophy went to Chelsea , making it their third consecutive and fifth FA Cup win overall.

This still puts them a fair way behind Arsenal, who have claimed the title 14 times. Yet, with the Blues knocked out in the semi-final, it looks like it's time to start a new chapter in the competition.

Following a tense semi-final round, this year’s FA Cup is down to its final two: Tottenham vs Manchester United. Neither team has ever made it to the final before which means, no matter what, history will be made.

This final will mark a historic 10 years of the match being played at Wembley Stadium. In that time, the attendance has grown from 30,710 to last year’s record-breaking 77,390 – and with general admission tickets already sold out for this year, it looks like they’re on for another smash hit.

Here’s the official details:

  • 12th May 2024 – Wembley Stadium

Never been to Wembley Stadium before? That’s OK. The venue has three train stations all within a 20-minute walk. Wembley Park is available on the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines, Wembley Stadium Station is accessible via Chiltern Railways (just one stop from London Marylebone), and Wembley Central is available on the Bakerloo and Overground lines, as well as Southern and West Midlands rail.

As we’ve said, general admission tickets for the final have already sold out, but a proportion of tickets have been held back and will be given out to the two finalist clubs after the semi-final. These will likely be distributed to season ticket holders and loyal fans first before being made available to the rest of the fans.

If you miss out on this, however, we’d suggest looking at sites like Ticombo . No, we wouldn’t normally recommend re-sale sites like this one – as they’re often unreliable and carry a huge price tag – however thanks to a 4.7-rating on TrustPilot , we’ve generally found the site to be useful and trustworthy. But there’s no getting away from the fact that prices will still be a lot higher than the original cost.

Or, if you want to see the match in style, you can also pick up a hospitality ticket from P1 Travel . This site offers packages that include a premium view of the action, luxury seating, special access to food and drink areas, and much more.

If you’re opting for a re-sale ticket, the current price starts at £50 which, considering the original tickets cost £30, isn’t too much of an ask.

Meanwhile, hospitality packages cost a minimum of £424 per person. We know this is a hefty price, but again, considering the men’s FA Cup hospitality starts at £2,017, this seems like a far more palatable price.

Each person can only bring one small bag into the stadium, and it must not be bigger than A4 size: Height – 297mm (11.7 inches) - Width – 210mm (8.27 inches) - Depth – 210mm (8.27 inches) Please note, this means the overall bag size – bags that are half-full and folded over to reduce their size will not be accepted. Anyone carrying bags that do not meet the criteria above will not be allowed into the stadium. A full list of prohibited items can be found  here . Persistent standing Persistent standing during a match at Wembley Stadium is strictly forbidden (unless with a ticket for the safe standing area) and may result in ejection from the ground. Persistent standing not only compromises crowd safety, but also affects the matchday experience of fellow spectators, especially children and elderly people. Anti-social and discriminatory behaviour Wembley Stadium operates a zero-tolerance policy on any form of anti-social and discriminatory behaviour. If you witness any anti-social or discriminatory behaviour on the day, text HELP to 66566 or contact your nearest steward. Food and Drink Wembley Stadium offers an extensive range of food and drink options inside the stadium – more information is  available here . New for 2024 On level one the stadium has introduced a new frictionless  Tap Bar , allowing guests to access refreshments quicker and more conveniently. The bar deploys the latest technology to enable customers to simply tap their card on entry, pick up what they need and then walk out – without the need to queue or pay at a dedicated paypoint. Stay up to date with all of the latest matchday information by following @wembleystadium on X, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
