The Bachelor of Science with a major in hospitality management gives you a solid academic education combined with extensive training in hospitality business skills, using the best modern technology. You can also gain insight into the industry through field trips, attending special lectures and meeting executives in our executive-in-residence program.

Degree requirements

The following requirements must be satisfied for a Bachelor of Science.

Hours required and general/school requirements

A minimum of 120 semester hours, of which 42 must be advanced, and fulfillment of degree requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree as specified in the University Core Curriculum    in the Academics    section of this catalog and the  College of Merchandising, Hospitality and Tourism    requirements.

  • It is required that students entering the College of Merchandising, Hospitality and Tourism have a minimum grade point average of at least 2.0 on all courses completed at UNT.
  • A grade of C or above must be earned in each merchandising and hospitality management course completed in residence or transferred to UNT. This includes all courses with prefixes CMHT, DRTL, EDEM, HFMD, HMGT, MDSE, and RETL.
  • A minimum of 2.0 grade point average in the professional field, with minimum grades of C required in all CMHT, DRTL, EDEM, HFMD, HMGT, MDSE, and RETL courses.
  • A minimum of 2.0 grade point average in all courses completed at UNT.
  • A minimum of 2.0 grade point average in all work attempted, including transfer, correspondence, extension and residence work.

URBN is seeking a 6-month marketing focused, data savvy Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Co-Op. The SEO Analyst will work with the SEO team to improve unpaid website visibility in search engines across URBN’s portfolio of brands. The SEO team acts as the gateway from Technology to Brands, always striving to enhance organic search performance and staying on top of best practices, industry updates, and new search trends.

  • Work across SEO Team, brands (Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, Nuuly, Terrain) & Technology Team to drive SEO recommendations that tie back to URBN digital strategies
  • Utilize SEO tools to audit & optimize brand sites. Perform keyword research, content strategies, & competitor analyses.
  • Work across Brand and Technology teams to understand the status of SEO requests and brand SEO needs.
  • Utilizing performance data, content gaps, and industry trends, bring new & creative recommendations to teams on how to improve organic channel
  • Report on business KPIs and monitor performance of site changes
  • Ability to use data to solve problems & recommend solutions
  • Ability and desire to learn, understand & communicate technical topics
  • Excellent verbal, written & analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively and handle multiple competing demands
