I have to say from the beginning, the trips (2 to Scotland, 1 to Ireland, 1 to Sand Valley, WI) planned for us by HIdden Links Golf have been great. Excellent accommodations, tee times that considered our distance from the courses, great courses, lots of info about the areas into which we were traveling. However, it took a looooooong time to get the quote after I requested information, and if I attempted to contact customer service, they never seemed to be in to help. That is very frustrating. Perhaps they run on a minimal staffing model, which helps them, but is irritating to customers. In regard to trip cancellation, they are very up front about your costs and the ability to get a refund. For an overseas trip, I most definitely recommend trip insurance that covers illness, transportation due to illness, cancellations, and death while over the pond. It's an extra cost, but what cost is peace of mind? Plus, you would like to protect the value of your investment, right? Overall, I would recommend the company for an epic trip to Scotland or Ireland.
Do not use this company my friend said their trip was canceled because of covid and they did only got 50% of their money.
We could not be happier with our trip and the work the Hidden Links staff did to ensure everything went as planned. Our trip was delayed for 2 year due to Covid but everything worked as as planned. I can't say enough about this company.

Has anyone had experience working with Hidden Links a tour operator specializing in gof jtrips to Ireland and Scotland? Do they deliver what they promise?
A friend of mine used Moss Golf, and was very happy. I've planned two trips on my own to Scotland, and its really a lot easier than you might think. Let me know if you're interested in picking my brain.
agree with above, self-planned golf trip for ireland and scotland is pretty easy tho you might want a europe-enabled navi device for driving. you can always follow proposed itinerary from an operator website and post on forum for suggestions.
We have covered Fairmont St Andrews, Turnberry and South Ayrshire in recent issues of Great Golf Magazine. We only write editorial so if its good or bad, we say so. You are spoilt for choice with tour operators to Scotland and Ireland. The biggest ones are Links Golf St Andrews, Perry Golf, Adventures in Golf.
You can also use Visit Scotland's booking planner and visitor information services to manage your booking.
It is simple and easy to organise your own break to Scotland/ Ireland. There are a wealth of great, free and independent articles/ tips at online magazine http://www.globalgolfermag.com - and even a guide to how to master Links Golf.
My wife and I are planning a golf vacation to Ireland for 2013. We have been in contact with Hidden Links and their last itinery good. Did you also use Hidden Links or did you use another company? We have visited Ireland before and had planned out every thing we did but have not golfed there. It seems a daunting task to plan not only the courses to play but to acquire decent tee times. Any advice or thoughts regarding our trip will be greatly appreciated.
We went to Scotland 2 years ago and used Bonnie Wee Golf http://www.bonnieweegolf.co.uk/ owned by David Harris. It was fantastic, and David was perfect for us...he helped set up the itinerary, then hand held us throughout the trip, he wa driver, tour guide, luggage shlepper, you name it he did it! AND he's located in Scotland as is a member of Royal Aberdeen, so he played golf with us one day there, which was great fun. Highly recommended!!
