After years teaming up with Mötley Crüe for their stadium tour across the world, Def Leppard now join forces with Journey in 2024. The two bands have scheduled tour dates so far next July, August and September across North America and they will have as special guests on selected dates another groups which were also already inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They are Heart, Steve Miller Band and Cheap Trick.

All the dates Def Leppard have scheduled so far for 2024 are with Journey, except for the September 10 show at West Valley City, UT. The band’s line-up continues the same with Joe Elliott (Vocals), Rick Savage (Bass), Phil Collen (Guitar), Vivian Campbell (Guitar) and Rick Allen (Drums).

Possible Def Leppard 2024 setlist

During the last few years Def Leppard’s setlist haven’t changed that much, since they are mixing many of their hits with songs from their most recent album “Diamond Star Halos” released in 2022. But from leg to leg of their last tours one or two songs from the setlist were changed. So we might expect for 2024 a setlist really similar to the one used in 2023.

Def Leppard, Journey team for stadium tour: 'We may have a surprise or two up our sleeves'

The anthems will be loud and frequent when Journey and Def Leppard take a spin through stadiums this summer.

The rock powerhouses are teaming for a 23-city tour that will kick off July 6, 2024, at Busch Stadium in St. Louis and wrap Sept. 8 at Coors Field in Denver.

While the bands have a stockpile of smashes including “Any Way You Want It,” “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Photograph” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” respectively, they’ll also be joined by fellow hitmakers Steve Miller Band , Heart and Cheap Trick in varying markets (see list below).

When do tickets for Def Leppard, Journey go on sale?

Registration for presale tickets begins at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT on Dec. 7 at www.defleppardjourney2024.com .

A presale for Citi cardholders kicks off at 10 a.m. local time on Dec. 13 via www.citientertainment.com . The general public sale begins at 10 a.m. local time on Dec. 15.

Both Journey and Def Leppard have been road warriors lately. Def Leppard played a sold-out stadium run in summer 2022 with Motley Crue, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and continued a worldwide tour with Motley Crue in 2023.

Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott shared that the band's set will celebrate specific parts of the rockers' history. "We may even have a surprise or two up our sleeves," he said in a statement.

Journey recently announced a spate of 2024 dates for their 50 th anniversary Freedom tour, which will play arenas across the U.S. between Feb. 9 and April 29.

Rock royalty reunite: def leppard and journey announce 2024’s biggest summer stadium tour.

THE BANDS WILL BE JOINED IN VARIOUS CITIES BY ROCK LEGENDS:  STEVE MILLER BAND, HEART & CHEAP TRICK  

(December 7, 2023) – Two of rock's most iconic and influential bands, JOURNEY and DEF LEPPARD, have announced next summer’s hottest co-headlining stadium tour.  The bands will join forces to conquer stadium stages across North America in 2024. This legendary collaboration promises a musical journey like no other, igniting the hearts and souls of fans and delivering a night of unforgettable rock anthems. The 23-city tour kicks off on July 6 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO, while making stops at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN; SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA; Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL; JOURNEY’s hometown of San Francisco, CA at Oracle Park and more before wrapping up in Denver, CO at Coors Field on September 8. An all-star lineup of bands will vary by city to round out an evening of rock music with performances by: Steve Miller Band, Heart and Cheap Trick. Fans can check local markets for their lineup. The tour is presented by AEG Presents.

DEF LEPPARD released their critically and commercially acclaimed 12th studio album Diamond Star Halos in 2022, which charted all over the world including a top 5 and top 10 in both North America and the U.K. They followed that release with Drastic Symphonies in May 2023, featuring Def Leppard’s greatest produced tracks dramatically reimagined, via the band teaming with London’s iconic The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road. The album spent 15 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Current Classical Chart.  In early 2023, the band scored a U.K. No 1 Netflix film with their cameo in acclaimed movie Bank Of Dave . Steve Miller has been a monumental presence on the American music scene for more than half a century. Miller’s Greatest Hits 1974-78 received the RIAA Diamond Award with sales of more than 15 million copies. It is among the 25 best-selling albums of all time. Cheap Trick, the iconic rock band hailing from Illinois, has been rocking stages and winning over fans with their timeless sound for over five decades. Known for their electrifying live performances, catchy melodies, and innovative songwriting, Cheap Trick has become a staple in rock music history. Steve Miller Band will play multiple shows, and Heart will join for three shows.

“We shall hit the boards running with a brand-new stage show and set of songs that will celebrate specific parts of our history,” Def Leppard lead vocalist Joe Elliott said in a statement on the Journey website. “We may even have a surprise or two up our sleeves … so, wanna join us!??! … See you in the summer!”

Both Journey and Def Leppard have been touring for the past year. Def Leppard played a sold-out stadium run in the summer of 2022 with Motley Crue , Poison , and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and continued a worldwide tour with Motley Crue in 2023. Next year will come in the sign of Journey , as it will be the 50th anniversary of the band. They will play arenas throughout North America from February 9th to 29th of April .

I fell in love with heavy metal at 13 when I first heard Metallica. I've loved listening to and writing about heavy metal ever since.

Def Leppard and Journey have announced The Stadium Tour 2024! Supporting acts will rotate between Heart, Cheap Trick, and Steve Miller Band.

Def Leppard will also have select standalone concert dates during the tour, such as the recently announced shows at the Hard Rock Live (August 9 in Davie, FL), the Spokane Arena (September 6 in Spokane, WA), and the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre (September 10 in West Valley City, UT).

While Def Leppard’s setlist during their previous Stadium/World Tour with Motley Crue mostly remained the same, Joe Elliott has stated that the 2024 Stadium Tour with Journey will feature “a brand-new stage show and set of songs that will celebrate specific parts of our history.”

Def Leppard and Journey announce 2024 tour, including Petco Park and SoFi Stadium concerts

The Steve Miller Band will open most of the dates on the tour, with Heart and Cheap Trick alternating opening slots on seven other dates

Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Def Leppard and Journey are teaming up for a joint 2024 stadium concert tour of North America. The 23-city tour opens July 6 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis and concludes Sept. 8 at Coors Field in Denver.

The tour will include three California dates: Aug. 25 at SoFi Staidum in Los Angeles; Aug. 28 at Oracle Park in San Francisco; and Aug. 30 at Petco Park in San Diego. The opening act for all three California dates — and for all but seven of the tour dates — will be fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Steve Miller and his band.

Two other Rock Hall inductees will alternate as opening acts for the seven shows Miller is not playing — Cheap Trick and Heart, which is co-led by former San Diegans Ann and Nancy Wilson. The tour will mark the second joint Petco Park show by Def Leppard and Journey, whose 2018 concert at the home of the San Diego Padres baseball team drew an audience of 34,300 and grossed $2,526,226 in ticket revenues.

The tour was announced Thursday morning.

“We shall hit the boards running with a brand-new stage show and set of songs that will celebrate specific parts of our history,” Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott said in a statement released Thursday. “We may even have a surprise or two up our sleeves ....”

The show is the seventh concert of 2024 to be announced thus far at Petco Park, tying the ballpark’s 2022 record for the most full-stadium concerts at the downtown San Diego venue in a single year.

The tour is being promoted by AEG Entertainment. Ticket prices were not announced.

Tickets for all of the Def Leppard/Journey tour dates will go on sale to the general public Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. local time at ticketmaster.com. Registration for access to pre-sale tickets opens today at 7 a.m. PST at defleppardjourney2024.com.

A pre-sale for Citi card members will begin next Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time at citientertainment.com .

An online venue pre-sale will begin next Thursday at 10 a.m. local time.

Def Leppard and Journey will each offer VIP packages through their respective websites. No prices have been announced for these packages.

Def Leppard are a hard rock and heavy metal band, formed in Sheffield in the UK in 1977. They are considered to be part of the New Wave of the British Heavy Metal movement.

Def Leppard have had a mix up of members, since 1992 they have consisted of Rick Savage on bass guitar and backing vocals, Joe Elliott who is the lead vocalist, Rick Allen playing the drums, Phil Collen on the guitar, and Vivian Campbell also on the guitar. This is the band's longest-standing line-up.

The band's success came in the 80s when they released their debut album, "On Through the Night", which successfully reached the 'Top 15' in the UK. Despite this success, the band performed at Reading Festival where they were greeted with unhappy fans who pelted beer cans and bottles filled with urine at them on stage. This came after fans were angry that the band were conforming to please an American market, being disloyal to their local roots.

However, after their release of their second album in 1981, named "High 'n' Dry", they began to find their feet and get to grips with their own original sound. Impressively, Def Leppard's video for "Bringin' On the Heartbreak" became one of the first metal videos played on MTV in 1982. This success brought the band back to likeness in America where they then went on to tour, opening for Ozzy Osbourne and Blackfoot.

Their most successful album came in the form of "Hysteria", released in 1987 considered on of the most successful bands of the ‘New Wave of British Heavy Metal’ in the 80s in the UK.

Live reviews

In case you aren’t convinced about Def Leppard’s present-day pulling power, consider this; in both 2009 and 2011, they headlined Download Festival. In the world of hard rock, they remain titans more than thirty-five years after their formation in Sheffield; on their own tours, too, they frequent arenas, with a fervent cult fanbase. Things, admittedly, have slowed down on the studio front; their last record, Songs from the Sparkle Lounge was released back in 2008 and met with a tepid reception, although a new full-length is being promised for 2015. Onstage, though, it’s very much business as usual; an impressive light show incorporates giant screens with visuals behind the band, but otherwise it’s largely left to the musicianship to take centre stage. Joe Elliott’s vocals are holding up nicely, despite decades of relentless touring - he’s one of only two original members - whilst Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell are by no means shy of a solo. Perhaps the biggest attraction, though, remains Rick Allen behind the kit - surely the world’s finest one-armed drummer, having overcome the loss of his left arm in a car accident back in the eighties to earn the nickname - from Leppard fans - of The Thunder God, and not without reason.

Prepared for a month to go see Def Leppard, Styx, and Tesla at the new Amway Center in Orlando Florida on January 30th at 7:00pm. Heading to the Concert, Me and my girlfriend got into a car accident on I-4 heading to Orlando. We however were not hurt. Thank the gods. We finally make to Orlando. Thinking that we were still going to get to see three of our favorite bands and enjoy the rest of our night. But we find out that the Concert has been canceled due to "illness". Man were we bummed out. It's truly sad that the Concert was canceled the night of the event. Common courtesy would have been for the Concert promoter to have issued a cancelation notice at least 24hrs prior to the Concert. For I believe that they knew that one of the band members was I'll way prior to the Concert. Now I find out that the Concert has been Postponed till January of 2017. Are these bands even going to be alive then? Hell, will I be? Only the gods know. I'm truly saddened that I didn't get to see the Concert of Concerts. And I hope to be alive next year so that I can try again to see three of my favorite bands. Whoever was sick I do hope that they recover from their illness soon and grow stronger over the next year. Great gig altogether, I hadn't seen Def Leppard or Whitesnake for the better part of a decade and had high hopes walking into the venue.

These hopes were definitely met, as Whitesnake delivered a slimmed-down set compared to their usual festival slots, which worked miracles as there were no fillers heard throughout the whole slot. Having seen them a dozen times by now, and even considering we did not get the outdoors treatment in which they usually shine, I would rank this as one of the best times I've seen them.

Def Leppard being the main reason for my concert visit, they did exactly the same as Whitesnake and took it a step further. Next to a brilliant setlist, the crowd interaction was taken to another level by the whole band, fully capitalizing on the Irish love of singalongs. Not too many new songs, who in fairness stand as solid Leppard tunes, but just an all-round great set.

I was expecting a bit more from opening act Black Star Riders, not sure why the Lizzy classics didn't go down as well as I expected them to go, but saw a better reaction to the songs in foreign countries than I did in Dublin. Shame really, as this band deserves the recognition they have elsewhere.

Def Leppard, the Sheffield icons and pioneers of British new wave metal still command the same level of adoration and respect as they did during their heyday. Frequent festival headliners, they take their plethora of hits and pure rock personalities and obliterate any stage they are placed upon. From the deafening tones of 'Undefeated', the pyrotechnics explode and the guitar riffs rip through the air as the audience erupt in excitement.

Having drawn huge amounts of revellers to the main stage, the band gets to proving why they are so iconic and so adored on the rock circuit. All the favourites are there including 'Let's Get Rocked' and 'Animal' which receive massive cheers as the veteran rockers recreate these popular metal/rock anthems with a high level of proficiency.

You cannot argue about the sheer effort and intensity that the band performs with, a huge extended version of 'Rocket' keeps the crowd applauding at their sheer musicianship. The best is saved for last though as they perform an all blazing version of 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' to end a momentous show.

Best live performance i have ever seen from start to finish, a proper English rock band still going as strong as ever.

I would have happily paid double the price i did for the tickets! even the wife loved it despite being more into Norah Jones :-)

would highly recommend as these guys won't be around forever so for me to see a band that were/ have been playing before i was even born is an absolute honour and privilege.

20 thousand plus people, the atmosphere was electric with all walks of life present just shows how much impact their music has on all people.

Def Leppard has been one of my most Favorite bands since I was a young adult, . . . many years ago. They never cease to putting on such an amazing show! I have followed them for years and I never miss them when they are here in San Diego. This particular show was great, as always. Yet, the sound at Petco Park just isn't set up for the music that Def Leppard, Journey, & Cheap Trick perform. It was very Echo-ing and just didn't sound as good as I know they sound elsewhere. I love Petco Park & I love Def Leppard, I just didn't like the sound last night! I will continue to see Def Leppard when they come no matter where they perform, . . . I LOVE Them and last night was no different! They were amazing! I will also continue to come to Petco, . . . if only to see the Padres perform. Petco Park is also amazing! I just hated the echo.

Missed these guys in concert in 1980's when they played at Orange County fairgrounds in Middletown, ny- been ABSOLUTELY DYING to see them since and finally got my chance at bethel woods! WHAT A KICKASS SHOW! Tesla and Styx were awesome , but Def Leppard ROCKED the stadium !!! Well worth the almost thirty years I had to wait.... Can't wait till they're back! Still my favorite band and hearing and seeing them live was a dream come true even from lawn seats! Couldn't get enough- new release coming this year! Come back soon , guys... NY LOVES DEF LEPPARD- you guys Seriously rocked through the ages!

Last night, a lifelong dream of mine was realized; I FIIIIINALLY got to see my all-time favorite '80s anthem rock band, Def Leppard! The venue was Taco Bell Arena on the Boise State University campus. Tesla and REO Speedwagon opened and equally rocked the crowd. As these bands are planning to continue touring, I urge everyone to try and see them before they eventually do retire. These great bands of the '70s and '80s are a treat and a privilege to still see, so don't let the opportunity pass you by. Vocally, they are all still on-point, I kid you not. Awesome showmanship!

Two of the most famous rock bands in history, Journey and Def Leppard, have announced a co-headlining tour for 2024 with some of the best opening and supporting acts a fan could ask for. They’re playing shows across America, starting in St. Louis in July before wrapping up their historic run of dates in Denver in September.

While Journey and Def Leppard are more than enough to get fans to come out, they’re bringing some impressive talent with them to further incentivize fans to buy a ticket. The two Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will be joined by Steve Miller Band, Heart, and Cheap Trick for their 2024 tour.

DEF LEPPARD/MOTLEY CRUE 2024 North American STADIUM TOUR Update

Def Leppard and Motley Crue will tour North America in 2024 on The Stadium Tour and Vince Neil has given a new update.

The World Tour 2023 started in Mexico City in February 2023.

The current UK/European leg ends on 6th July in Glasgow.

Six joint stadium/arena shows were announced in December 2022 for August 2023.

A 7th USA show for Def Leppard was then announced in Sturgis, SD for the same month.

The Stadium Tour 2024

Vince Neil was interviewed this week in London and once again mentioned the current tour will return to the USA in 2024.

He first mentioned this back in September 2022 when also confirming the 2023 touring would start in South America in the Spring (which it did of course).

Nikki Sixx then also said in the same month that the tour still had up to 120 more shows to play in 2023 and 2024.

Three Year Tour

As mentioned many times before both Phil and Joe stated the stadium shows would last three years.

Joe mentioned the three years of touring again in July 2022 when talking about the now announced (and almost completed) UK shows.

A full return to the USA and Canada was always likely having played everywhere else in 2023 with the dates (probably) to be announced before the end of this year.

Def Leppard has outlived so many of the hard rock and heavy metal bands from the early days of those genres. The group is still together, still touring, and still putting out new music fairly regularly. As they prepare for a busy 2024, they’re also giving fans one more project to snap up—but they’ll have to act fast.

The rock band has announced a new live album, One Night Only Live at The Leadmill Sheffield May 19, 2023 . The latest set from Def Leppard is expected to arrive on April 20.

One Night Only Live at The Leadmill Sheffield May 19, 2023 , is Def Leppard’s contribution to this year’s Record Store Day. The event takes place twice a year, in April and November. It’s a music industry-wide show of support for independent record stores around the world. Many top-tier acts release special collector’s items that will only be available in stores for a short time, as a way to get people to go out and head to their local brick-and-mortar location instead of purchasing online or streaming.

Longtime fans of Def Leppard will want to rush to pick up a copy of the new live recording, as it’s only being offered in limited quantities. One Night Only Live at The Leadmill Sheffield May 19, 2023 , will reportedly only receive a pressing of 6,000 silver vinyl copies. While that might be more than enough for some rock bands, this title might not last long and may sell out quickly, given the group’s popularity.

As its name suggests, One Night Only Live at The Leadmill Sheffield May 19, 2023 , was recorded at a gig in May 2023. Def Leppard was preparing for a European tour at the time, and this one-off show was something of a warm-up for the group.

Less than a week after releasing One Night Only Live at The Leadmill Sheffield May 19, 2023 , Def Leppard will drop another special project that superfans are sure to buy. The group recently announced a new expanded edition of their blockbuster recording Pyromania . Originally released in 1983, that album helped certify the band as among the biggest and best in hard rock history. The updated edition of that album comes with voice notes, demos, and even a brand new song.

DEF LEPPARD and Journey to perform in Portland; tickets available Friday

Tickets go on sale Friday to see international, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame icons coming to Portland later this year. 

DEF LEPPARD x JOURNEY will bring their timeless classics and chart-topping hits to the Moda Center on September 2, 2024, but tickets go on sale Friday, according to Rose Quarter officials. 

"From anthems that have stood the test of time to the latest and greatest hits, fans can expect a setlist that transcends generations, showcasing the unparalleled talent and mastery of both of these Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted bands," Rose Quarter officials say. 

This tour comes after DEF LEPPARD'S 12th studio album Diamond Star Halos which was released in 2022 and hit the charts globally. Officials say that Diamond Star Halos was in the top ten in North America and the U.K. 

Journey will feature founder Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Arnel Pineda, Deen Castronovo), Jason Derlatka, and Todd Jensen.

DEF LEPPARD To Release New Live Album For 'Record Store Day'

Celebrating Record Store Day at participating stores starting April 20, 2024, Mercury Studios will exclusively release the double silver vinyl LP DEF LEPPARD "One Night Only Live At The Leadmill Sheffield May 19, 2023" .

On the eve of the band's largest European run ever — including a sold-out night at Wembley Stadium — and on the heels of launching their critically acclaimed and chart-topping new album "Drastic Symphonies" (recorded at the renowned Abbey Road), DEF LEPPARD streamed a one-off live performance from the historic Sheffield venue, The Leadmill. This unique set was from one of the most intimate shows the band has played in Europe in over 35 years, giving their fans the chance to hear and see the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame -inducted band up close performing an extraordinary stadium style set in a club setting.

DEF LEPPARD wanted to shine a light on The Leadmill, a vital part of the Sheffield and national U.K. music scene which is among many of the small U.K. music venues threatened with closure. Net proceeds from ticket sales from The Leadmill show are being donated to Music Venue Trust who diligently work to help struggling U.K. music venues.

When the show was first announced, DEF LEPPARD singer Joe Elliott said: "Sheffield is in the very DNA of this band!

"We are ecstatic to be starting the European leg of our world tour at home at Bramall Lane!

"When thinking of a warm-up, it made sense to do a special set at The Leadmill, in the city where it all started.

"We know there are a lot of small music venues struggling across the U.K., so we wanted to give back to what gave to us.

"The net proceeds from the evening will go directly to Music Venue Trust in an effort to keep U.K. clubs alive…and to coincide with the release of our symphonic record, 'Drastic Symphonies' . It's all very special!"

DEF LEPPARD and JOURNEY will join forces for a summer 2024 North American tour. The 23-date trek will begin on July 6 in St. Louis, Missouri and hit cities including Orlando, Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles and more before wrapping in Denver on September 8. Openers include STEVE MILLER BAND , HEART and CHEAP TRICK , which will vary by city.

DEF LEPPARD and MÖTLEY CRÜE have completed several legs of "The World Tour" , which included U.S. dates with Alice Cooper .

DEF LEPPARD 's latest album of all-new material, "Diamond Star Halos" , sold 34,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week of release in May 2022 to land at position No. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. It marked the band's eighth top 10 LP.

Maren Morris Announces 2024 RSVP Redux Tour with Fan-Curated Setlists to Mark 5 Years of Her Girl Album

The Grammy winner teased "more dates to come" for the upcoming tour, which features special guest Betty Who on select dates

Pick yourself up off the kitchen floor —  Maren Morris is hitting the road!

On Thursday, the Grammy winner announced the 2024 RSVP Redux Tour, a string of North American concerts to celebrate the 5th anniversary of her second album Girl — and each show will feature a unique setlist curated by fans.

The upcoming run also serves to make up for Morris' canceled 2020 RSVP Tour , which was called off around the COVID-19 pandemic's onset. "the tour that never was, gets a 2024 redux," she wrote on social media alongside the announcement. "more dates to come."

Girl was released in 2019 and spawned hits with its title track and "The Bones." The album peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and two of its songs earned Grammy Award nominations: "The Bones" for best country song and "Common" with Brandi Carlile for best country duo/group performance.

Kicking off May 29 at The Masonic in San Francisco, the RSVP Redux Tour will make stops in cities across the U.S. including Seattle, Vancouver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix and more before wrapping July 31 with a performance as part of Festival at Sandpoint in Sandpoint, Indiana. Select shows throughout the run will additionally feature opening act Betty Who.

Tickets will first become available through an artist presale on March 26 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by additional presales throughout the week before the general onsale begins March 29 at 10 a.m. local time. More information is available at Morris' website .
