Big Ten women's basketball tournament 2024: Bracket, full TV schedule, scores, results

bretagne ladies tour results

The 2024 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament is here, and this year's tournament will all but surely stir up some madness in Minneapolis.

Will Caitlin Clark lead Iowa to its third consecutive Big Ten Tournament title in her swan song? If the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer does, the Hawkeyes will become the fourth different Big Ten program since 1995 to win the conference tournament in back-to-back-to-back years.

Or will top-seeded Ohio State be the last one standing on Sunday behind the power-scoring duo of Jacy Sheldon and Cotie McMahon?

The Hawkeyes and the Buckeyes may be the favorites to get the conference's automatic bid, but the league has perhaps its best depth in terms of talent in recent years, making it possible for some of the conference's other 12 teams to create some madness.

No. 3 seed Indiana remains in the top 15 in the country behind the duo of All-American forward Mackenzie Holmes and Sara Scalia. Holmes went down with a left knee injury in Sunday's game against Maryland , creating a storyline to watch heading into the Hoosiers' first game on Friday. Meanwhile, Michigan State first-year coach Robyn Fralich has the No. 4 Spartans playing some of their best basketball of the season heading into the tournament, as winners of their last five.

As for the tournament itself, all seven sessions of the five-day tournament are already sold out for the first time in Big Ten history thanks to the "Caitlin Clark Effect." According to  The Athletic , the Big Ten is expecting 109,000 fans to attend next month's tournament in Minneapolis, which will surpass last year's record of 47,923 spectators.

Here's what you need to know about the 2024 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament:

2024 SEC Women's Tournament bracket: Schedule, scores, TV channel, live stream, dates, location

South carolina and lsu are among the top teams vying for the conference tournament crown.

gettyimages-2063244319-1-1.jpg

The SEC Women's Basketball Tournament gets underway Wednesday, and a lot of attention will be directed toward a potential Final Four matchup in the NCAA Tournament.

The defending national champion LSU Tigers enter the conference tournament as the No. 2 seed, and they look poised for another deep run in March. However, standing in their way is an undefeated South Carolina team that holds the top seed in Greenville, S.C.

That would feature a marquee match between LSU's Angel Reese and South Carolina's Kamilla Cardoso. The former is leading the SEC in scoring with 19.1 points per game, and the latter is dominating with 14.1 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.

Beyond those two juggernauts, teams like Ole Miss, Alabama and Tennessee will be looking to spring an upset in the hopes of cutting down the nets. Meanwhile, Auburn, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M need to pick up some wins in order to secure spots in March Madness.

Below is the full schedule and tip times for the tournament.

SEC Women's Tournament bracket: Full TV schedule, scores, results for 2024 championship

It's March, so why not start some potential madness early in the 2024 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament?

And if this year's college basketball season has shown anything, the SEC is deep and any team can win on any given night. But first, one of the other 13 SEC teams will have to take down powerhouse South Carolina .

The Gamecocks are once again the No. 1 seed in the tournament seedings, despite entering the season with basically an entirely new starting lineup. Dawn Staley's team enters the SEC tournament at a perfect 29-0 overall and 16-0 in the SEC and 7is looking to become the 10th team — and the first team since UConn in 2016 — in NCAA Division I women's basketball history to go undefeated for an entire season.

The reigning national champion LSU Tigers are the No. 2 seed and the likely fit to give South Carolina a run for its money if both meet up in Sunday's championship game.

Kim Mulkey's squad has been scorching hot the last few weeks as it brings an eight-game winning streak into the SEC tournament. Aside from superstar forward Angel Reese and All-American transfer Aneesah Morrow , Hailey Van Lith has added herself to LSU's puzzle to make a run in March over the last few weeks, adding to the challenge for team's to defend and defeat the Tigers in March. The Louisville transfer has found her strive offensively in the last three games, averaging 19.7 points in that stretch.

Others that can make a case to win the tournament include Ole Miss, Alabama and Tennessee.

Henderson Hurries Up Leaderboard With Second-Round 66 in Singapore

Brooke Henderson

It was a tough start for Canadian Brooke Henderson, who shot a 3-over 75 in the first round of the HSBC Women’s World Championship at Sentosa Golf Club on Thursday, but the 13-time LPGA Tour winner recovered nicely on Friday, carding a bogey-free, 6-under 66 to move inside the top 10 with 36 holes to play in Singapore.

Henderson began the day with pars on 10 and 11 and then recorded a pair of back-to-back birdies on the par-4 12th and par-5 13th holes to get back to 1-over overall. She parred 14 and 15 before picking up her third birdie of the round on the par-5 16th hole, parring her next two holes to turn in 33, now at even par for the tournament.

She made another birdie on the par-4 3rd hole to move to 1-under and then birdied again on No. 5, parring holes six and seven before grabbing her final birdie of the round on the par-5 8th hole to post a 66 – her lowest round on the LPGA Tour since the day three of the CME Group Tour Championship – and sit at 3-under overall.

“Today was a lot of fun. It was really solid. No bogeys, six birdies, which was good,” said Henderson of her third bogey-free round of the 2024 season. “I was disappointed after yesterday. So, I just tried to go out today and tried to get some shots back, which I feel like I did, and I was able to climb up the leaderboard a bit, too, which is really exciting. Hopefully, just do more things like today the rest of the week.”

This is Henderson’s seventh time teeing it up in Singapore for the HSBC Women’s World Championship, and in her six previous starts, she has never finished worse than T48, earning five top-15 finishes, including a tie for second that came in 2018. This is her fourth start of the 2024 LPGA Tour season, and after a difficult 2023 that saw her struggle to find any consistency after winning the season-opening Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, it appears that Henderson has returned to form as she has finished T16 or better in her first three starts of the year, most notably coming solo third in her title defense at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club.

And after an impressive turnaround in Singapore, Henderson will continue to ride that momentum over the weekend at the HSBC Women’s World Championship as she works to make up a four-shot deficit and fight her way to the top of the leaderboard at an event that she really enjoys, one that the winningest Canadian golfer of all time would love to add to her already impressive resume.

“I love coming here to Singapore,” said Henderson, who currently sits in a tie for ninth and four back of the lead. “It's one of my favorite stops on Tour. It's beautiful, it's so clean, and the people are so nice. The golf course, I feel like if I'm hitting it well, that it really suits my game. There's a lot of birdie opportunities out there, and hopefully, just play smart and give myself a lot of good looks.”
