There are several Beaches® Resorts in the Caribbean, two in Jamaica and one in Turks and Caicos, with another soon-to-be-open resort in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Beaches® Resorts cater to families of all ages, with all-inclusive options that you might expect, such as gourmet dining and drinks, kids’ club, and other entertainment. Plus, there are many things you may not anticipate as part of your package – like tips, airport transfers, waterpark, golf, scuba diving, and non-motorized water sports. Not to mention, they’re just minutes from stunning attractions and thrilling activities off-property, which you can arrange through Island Routes Adventures .

Beaches® Negril sits about 90 minutes from Montego Bay Airport (MBJ) (or a bit more or a bit less depending on traffic, we found). It’s nestled on Seven-Mile Beach , one of the best beaches in the world. There are three villages to stay in, including newly built villas right on the beach. Additionally, there are 10+ dining options, a kids’ club, a teen club, and a video game lounge. Families can also enjoy the on-site waterpark with a lazy river, spa, sports facilities, a water sports shop, and two main pools. What Makes Beaches® Negril Unique for Families?

Plus, the position on Seven-Mile Beach is another perk! Note it’s a public beach, so vendors walk up and down offering crafts and other goods or activities like parasailing and jet boating. Then, compared with the other Beaches® Resorts, its size is medium, which families love. It is in-between, not as big as Turks and Caicos, and has a bit more to offer than Ocho Rios. There are so many on-site activities that kids of all ages will enjoy when you stay at Beaches® Negril! As one of the best Jamaica all inclusive family resorts, of course, the water is a HUGE draw. One option is the waterpark with slides, splash pad, and lazy river . Then, the ocean offers a lot of fun for families too! Through Beaches® Negril, families have access to banana boat rides, water bikes, stand-up paddleboards, and more. Undoubtedly, kids will be in swimsuits all vacation long!

But the water is one of many reasons that your family will love Beaches® Negril. The playground and games across the resort draw kids in immediately. Plus, the kids’ club, available for several age groups, is a great option. From babies and toddlers to elementary-aged kids together, the kids’ clubs offer age-appropriate crafts, visits with Sesame Street friends, water sports, and games. It’s open from morning until night, except for an hour in the early evening. You don’t need reservations (though you’ll have to complete some paperwork upon first drop-off). My kids loved playing with kids their own age and making new friends. Additionally, there are also teen-friendly activities available for your older crew (think: name-that-tune contest or beach volleyball). This includes encouraging families to participate in activities like tie-dyeing, dance parties, relay races, and beach soccer. Then, the nightly Sesame Street shows engage the whole family in song, dance, and daring feats like fire juggling!

Families can also book several area trips through the Island Routes Adventures desk if they’re interested in getting off the resort grounds. There are family-friendly and adult-only catamaran cruises, fishing trips, horseback riding, and visits to attractions like Rick’s Cafe and Dunns River Falls .

Plus, the grab-and-go pizza, bakery options, barbecue food, and frozen yogurt make meals or snack time much easier when the family needs a little downtime or a low-key meal! Jim Harbaugh Lives in an Recreational Vehicle Down by the Ocean

In this story:

JIm Harbaugh really likes The Rockford Files . So much so that he is currently living in an RV on a California beach just like Jim Rockford did in the 1970's television series. If only Jim Rockford had considered a career change before he was falsely imprisoned at San Quentin.

Harbaugh recently took a Los Angeles Chargers camera crew on a tour of his Quantum. which has been parked in Huntington Beach for the last two months. Between the location and the lack of distractions, Harbaugh appears to be loving life, watching The Rockford Files (and Joe Dirt ?) every night before his early bedtime.

New Chargers offensive coordinator Greg Roman also lives in the same RV park, but in a much bigger 2019 Newmar VENTANA. Here's Roman's very diplomatic description of Harbaugh's rig: “I’ve been in here. Very cozy. I mean, you can drive this down the road and park it pretty much anywhere. So there’s a lot of advantages to having one this size."

It must have taken some serious willpower not to call it "cute." Of course, camper life isn't all glamour, even in a VENTANA, no matter how many American flags are flying proudly. Because wherever you're parked, someone has to take care of business. Here's Harbuagh on what sounds like a surprisingly proud moment in his life:

"Nothing will make you feel more like a dad than when you dispose of the waste. That was a moment. Seminal moment for me. Felt like a real dad."

Unfortunately for everyone, Harbaugh's family has now arrived in California, so he has to move back into a house that doesn't have wheels. We'll see how long that lasts before Jim Rockford and the cool ocean breeze comes calling for Harbaugh.
