This company provides live commentary in English for all of their tours. Headsets are available for tours in English, French, German, Spanish, and Mandarin.
It takes about 90 minutes to complete the circuit, but there are so many significant locations to see that you might want to consider a multi-day pass.

PHILLY PHLASH
If you’re looking for a more affordable alternative to hop-on-hop-off tours, the city of Philadelphia actually offers their own special bus service for tourists.
With a total of 22 stops, the Philly Phlash will take you to almost all of the same locations as a major tour bus at a fraction of the cost.
Unfortunately, this transportation doesn’t offer any audio or a live guide and it doesn't run year-round.
That being said, if you’re considering one of our free guided or self-guided tours, the Phlash is an excellent method for getting around town.
The services operate from 8:30 am until 6 pm (20:00) daily (May-August) and more limited service throughout the year (no service in January, February and half of March.
Buses typically run every 15 minutes.
Surprisingly, this service has an excellent overall rating of 4 ½ out of 5 stars on TripAdvisor.
Many reviewers feel that this bus is a convenient way to save money while discovering as much of the city as possible.
- $2 per ride | $5 for all-day pass | $7 for a Two-Day Pass | Children under 4 ride free
- SEPTA Pass/Key Card holders ride for free

NIGHT BUS TOURS IN PHILADELPHIA

Although you won’t have the opportunity to hop off at various locations around the city, you will see a different side of Philly once the sun goes down.
Each excursion includes live commentary.
Unfortunately, these tour options are only available during the warmer months, so they won’t be accessible for anyone visiting during the winter.
PHILLY BY NIGHT- BIG BUS TOURS
Whether you’re looking for a bit more than their typical bus trip or you just want to experience Philadelphia after dark, the Philly By Night tour should do the trick.
Clocking in at 120 minutes in length, the night tour will last about as long as a full circuit with their hop-on-hop-off service.
Starting in the spring, this bus tour will depart at 8 pm ( almost every night.
Although prices are comparable to their all-day tickets, you can actually save money by purchasing a combo pass .
If possible, reviews for Philly By Night are even better than the ratings for their standard service.
- $30 for Adults | $20 for Children (Ages 4-12)
- Note: Courtesy shuttle available from Center City Hotels
- More info and to book
TWILIGHT PHILLY- CITY SIGHTSEEING TOURS
Not to be outdone, this company also offers a very similar night tour entitled Twilight Philly . Note that this bus tour is SEASONAL and only operates between the months of May and October, departing every night at 8 PM.

- $30 for Adults | $20 for Children
COMBO DEALS & DISCOUNTS
If you plan on visiting a wide variety of locations in Philadelphia, you may want to consider one of the following options.
With a tourist attraction discount pass, you pay one lump sum for access to a lot of different locations and the transportation necessary to visit each landmark.
Plan out your itinerary ahead of time and save money on all of your activities!
PHILADELPHIA PASS
Although this tourist pass will cost more per day than one of the bus tours listed above, it also includes admission to several attractions.
If you want to do more than just see the sights, the Philadelphia Pass is a great way to experience the city on a tight budget.
Each pass comes with a 2-day hop-on-hop-off ticket from Big Bus Tours.
Instead of just visiting each location and looking around, now you can actually gain entrance into landmarks and important sites such as the Betsy Ross House, the National Constitution Center, and One Liberty Observation Deck.
If you want to learn more about this opportunity, check out our comparison of each Philadelphia tourist pass .
- 1-Day Pass: $59 for Adults | $49 for Children
- 2-Day Pass: $89 for Adults | $79 for Children
- 3-Day Pass: $109 for Adults | $99 for Children
- 5-Day Pass: $129 for Adults | $119 for Children
Tip: Check their website for regular discounts!
Find out more information here .
Much like their competitors, this company also works with Big Bus Tours to provide a free hop-on, hop-off bus ticket. However, you won’t have access to nearly as many attractions with the CityPASS.
Rather than offering admission to dozens of different locations, this tourist pass focuses on just four activities.
In addition to a bus tour, you’ll also gain entrance into the Franklin Institute, One Liberty Observation Deck, and your choice of either the Adventure Aquarium or Philadelphia Zoo.
The main advantage of this option is that you will have a total of 9 days to take advantage of each individual activity.
General admission for all of these tours and attractions can cost over $90 without this pass.
If you’d rather take your time exploring the city, this might be one of the best ways to save some cash.

Cody rhodes says tour bus caught on fire, 'it was up in a big fireball', cody rhodes my tour bus caught on fire ... 'it was up in a big fireball'.
Scary moment for Cody Rhodes in the leadup to this weekend's WrestleMania in Philadelphia -- he says his tour bus caught on fire ... but, thankfully, he made it out unscathed.
The American Nightmare told Pat McAfee on Friday morning the blaze started just hours earlier -- at around 1 AM -- just as he had settled into his bed to get a little bit of shuteye.
Rhodes says his driver noticed the flames -- and urged him to get out quickly. The 38-year-old WWE Superstar says he then grabbed a few pictures and his 'Mania boots -- before jetting off the ride.
Rhodes said the vehicle didn't burn down completely -- but, "it was up in a big fireball for a moment."
Fortunately, he said there were no injuries ... and he gave a big shoutout to the Philadelphia Fire Department for assisting in putting out the blaze.
Rhodes is slated to wrestle twice in the WWE's Super Bowl ... taking on The Rock and Roman Reigns with Seth Rollins on Saturday night -- and then wrestling against Reigns on Sunday night.
Here is the best ending segment in #WWERaw history with Cody Rhodes and The Rock In case you missed it. pic.twitter.com/q247dYHEfR — FADE (@FadeAwayMedia) March 26, 2024 @FadeAwayMedia
Rhodes says he didn't take the blaze as a bad omen -- especially considering The Rock beat him down in front of that bus just a few days ago -- in fact, he told McAfee he was viewing it as just the opposite.
"I think the universe was saying, 'Hey, we're going to set your bus on fire and you're still going to go in and wipe the floor with The Bloodline on Saturday,'" he said.
"'You're still going to do it.'"
Guess we'll all know in a little over 24 hours!

This morning (April 4), Cody Rhodes tweeted:
Before you hear it elsewhere - my tour bus caught fire last night Everybody is safe and okay The 2 items I grabbed before I got off will probably pop wrestling fans Again, thank you @PhillyFireDept — Cody Rhodes (@CodyRhodes) April 5, 2024
Since — thank goodness — Rhodes told us right up front that no one was hurt when his bus caught fire on Thursday night, his message prompted a lot of jokes about the lengths Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson would go to mess with his WrestleMania rival.
It also led to a more detailed explanation from Cody on The Pat McAfee Show this afternoon. The man who will main event both nights of WrestleMania XL said his bus didn’t “burn to a crisp, but it was up in a big fireball for a moment”. The things he rescued from the bus are pictures of his wife & daughter, and his wrestling boots. He thanked the Philadelphia Fire Department for putting out the blaze, and that they were able to save a lot of stuff... although his signature suits have a smokey odor to them today.
"I'm coming in a little bit hot and here's why.. Last night at 1AM my bus driver yelled we gotta get off this bus it's on fire.. There ain't NOBODY here who is more ready for WrestleMania than me" ~ @CodyRhodes #PMSLive #WrestleMania pic.twitter.com/yO7EWO7OGJ — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 5, 2024
And where did Rhodes crash with his own sleeping quarters uninhabitable? He told McAfee that his Night One tag partner Seth Rollins offered him shelter on his bus. With a friendship like that, how can they lose tomorrow night?
Probably they way everyone who wrestles The Bloodline loses, but that was still a nice gesture from Rollins (and his wife, we presume). Anyway...
Quite a story. Glad everyone is okay, and we’ll see where it ends up fitting in the legend of WrestleMania XL when all is said and done.

Cody Rhodes: Everyone is safe after tour bus caught on fire
Before WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes had a scare when his tour bus caught on fire.
Rhodes posted a tweet on Friday revealing that his tour bus caught fire on Thursday night. No one was hurt in the fire, and Rhodes thanked the Philadelphia Fire Department for handling the situation.
"Before you hear it elsewhere - my tour bus caught fire last night," he wrote. "Everybody is safe and okay. The 2 items I grabbed before I got off will probably pop wrestling fans. Again, thank you @PhillyFireDept."
Rhodes was a guest on The Pat McAfee Show shortly after sending out the tweet. He revealed that the two things he grabbed were pictures of his daughter and wife and his boots for WrestleMania.
"There ain't nobody here who is more ready for WrestleMania than me," Rhodes declared.
Rhodes said the bus "didn't burn to a big crisp," but it was up in a fireball for a moment. Everything worked out except for Rhodes' suits now smelling like fire.
WWE is in Philadelphia for WrestleMania weekend and its surrounding events.
Lincoln Financial Field is hosting WrestleMania 40 this Saturday and Sunday. Both nights, Rhodes will be competing in the main event. The headlining match of night one is Rhodes & Seth Rollins vs. The Rock & Roman Reigns. Rhodes will then challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at night two.

Cody Rhodes Says His Tour Bus ‘Was Up In A Big Fireball’, Everyone Is Okay

Cody Rhodes says he’s more ready for WrestleMania than anyone after his tour bus caught on fire.
The day before WWE WrestleMania 40 Night One, Cody Rhodes revealed that his tour bus caught on fire. He wrote that everyone was safe and okay.
Before you hear it elsewhere – my tour bus caught fire last night ? Everybody is safe and okay The 2 items I grabbed before I got off will probably pop wrestling fans Again, thank you @PhillyFireDept — Cody Rhodes (@CodyRhodes) April 5, 2024
Rhodes then described what happened during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show . He noted that he grabbed pictures of his wife and daughter, as well as his boots for WrestleMania, as he fled the bus.
“This is where my mindset is. Last night, one a.m., laying in bed, it’s the first time I’m gonna get a little sleep before we get into this big, big, big event that is WrestleMania. All of a sudden, loud bang at the side of my bus. Thought it was a gun shot. Terrified. Clammed up. Next thing I know, my bus driver tells, ‘We gotta get off this bus, it’s on fire.’ So my bus, it didn’t burn to a crisp, but it was up in a big fireball for a moment.
“The reason I share this story is I’m here this morning, non-flinching, and I grabbed two things off my bus when I thought, ‘This is it. This is the end.’ I grabbed a picture of my daughter and a picture of my wife, and then I grabbed my WrestleMania boots. There ain’t nobody here who is more ready for WrestleMania than me.”

WWE superstar Cody Rhodes has had to overcome multiple obstacles leading into his headlining acts at WrestleMania 40 this weekend in Philadelphia, Pa., including a fire that broke out on his tour bus early Friday morning.
For those not familiar with Rhodes or WWE’s current storylines, the son of legendary wrestler, Dusty Rhodes, is gearing up for a massive title fight on Sunday against superstar Roman Reigns. Before that, Rhodes will fight alongside Seth Rollins in a tag-team match opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Reigns on Saturday night to determine the ruleset for Sunday’s championship match.

The feud between Rhodes and The Rock has hit new heights in the build up to WrestleMania 40. In fact, The Rock has turned heel over the past few months, creating one of the most hated personas in pro wrestling today. The Rock has even turned to social media to try to belittle Rhodes and create more buzz around this weekend’s massive event.
On Friday, Rhodes revealed that he had to evacuate his tour bus during the night after it caught on fire. This was not a storyline scripted by WWE or a public stunt perpetrated by The Rock. This was the real deal. Luckily, Rhodes and everyone in his bus escaped without injury.
Rhodes posted the following to social media earlier today:
Before you hear it elsewhere - my tour bus caught fire last night Everybody is safe and okay The 2 items I grabbed before I got off will probably pop wrestling fans Again, thank you @PhillyFireDept — Cody Rhodes (@CodyRhodes) April 5, 2024
“Before you hear it elsewhere - my tour bus caught fire last night. Everybody is safe and okay. The 2 items I grabbed before I got off will probably pop wrestling fans. Again, thank you @PhillyFireDept”
Later on Friday, Rhodes joined The Pat McAfee Show and went into detail about the ordeal. According to the WWE superstar, his bus driver stepped in to save the day. Check it out below:
"I'm coming in a little bit hot and here's why.. Last night at 1AM my bus driver yelled we gotta get off this bus it's on fire.. There ain't NOBODY here who is more ready for WrestleMania than me" ~ @CodyRhodes #PMSLive #WrestleMania pic.twitter.com/yO7EWO7OGJ — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 5, 2024
“Last night, 1 a.m., laying in bed, it’s the first time I’m going to get a little sleep before we get into this big, big, big event that is WrestleMania,” Rhodes explained. “All of a sudden there’s a loud bang at the side of my bus. Thought it was a gunshot. Terrified. Clammed up.
“Next thing I know my bus driver yells, ‘We got to get off this bus it’s on fire!’ My bus didn’t burn to a crisp, but it was up in a big fireball for a moment.”
Wild stuff, but nothing that is going to stop Rhodes from competing during both days of WrestleMania 40 and trying to get his hands around the WWE championship belt on Sunday.

Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations
By Claudia Looi 2 Comments
Komsomolskaya metro station looks like a museum. It has vaulted ceilings and baroque decor.
Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.
Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.
The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

Moscow subways are very clean
To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow. Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.
The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:
1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.
2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

3. Arbatskaya Metro Station served as a shelter during the Soviet-era. It is one of the largest and the deepest metro stations in Moscow.

4. Biblioteka Imeni Lenina Metro Station was built in 1935 and named after the Russian State Library. It is located near the library and has a big mosaic portrait of Lenin and yellow ceramic tiles on the track walls.

5. Kievskaya Metro Station was one of the first to be completed in Moscow. Named after the capital city of Ukraine by Kiev-born, Nikita Khruschev, Stalin's successor.

6. Novoslobodskaya Metro Station was built in 1952. It has 32 stained glass murals with brass borders.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

8. Mayakovskaya Metro Station built in 1938. It was named after Russian poet Vladmir Mayakovsky. This is one of the most beautiful metro stations in the world with 34 mosaics painted by Alexander Deyneka.

9. Belorusskaya Metro Station is named after the people of Belarus. In the picture below, there are statues of 3 members of the Partisan Resistance in Belarus during World War II. The statues were sculpted by Sergei Orlov, S. Rabinovich and I. Slonim.
10. Teatralnaya Metro Station (Theatre Metro Station) is located near the Bolshoi Theatre.

Go beneath the streets on this tour of the spectacular, mind-bending Moscow Metro! Be awed by architecture and spot the Propaganda , then hear soviet stories from a local in the know. Finish it all up above ground, looking up to Stalins skyscrapers, and get the inside scoop on whats gone on behind those walls.
Know More about this tour
We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Throughout your Moscow tour, you’ll learn curious facts from soviet history while seeing how Russia exists now, 25 years after the USSR.
