Bridlington, on the Yorkshire coast, is a resort in the bay outh of and sheltered by Flamborough Head. A superb holiday base, one of the best for families in Yorkshire, and is packed with fun seaside activities for the kids. Bridlington's blue flag north beach and South Beach have been accredited with Keep Britain Tidy Awards.

Brilliant Bridlington is blessed with award-winning sandy beaches and superb attractions but that’s not all! This thriving seaside town is home to a year-round programme of spectacular events to help keep you entertained during your visit.

Festivals and events

Each year, thousands of people gather in Bridlington to enjoy some of the biggest and most popular events in the whole of East Yorkshire!

Car enthusiasts will love Race the Waves , a classic car and bike show which takes place each spring, culminating in two days of vintage vehicles roaring across Bridlington’s south beach. Always a real crowd pleaser.

The Bridlington Kite Festival offers a more relaxed pace, with some of the world’s largest inflatable kites soaring above the dramatic cliffs of the East Yorkshire coast.

If vintage music, dress and dance is right up your street, put on your glad rags and head to Bridlington’s 40s and 50s Summer Festival. Get ready to experience the spirit of 1940s Britain with performances and military vehicle displays.

Each September land artists from across the UK and beyond gather in Bridlington for the Land Sand Stone Art Festival . Using natural materials, they create incredible art installations on the beaches and in the gardens at Sewerby Hall . You can even pick up some tips from the professionals and try your hand at land art yourself.

From concerts in the orangery to art exhibitions and outdoor cinema to medieval jousting, there really is something for everybody at Sewerby Hall and Gardens . At Christmas the house and gardens are transformed into a magical winter woodland with a spectacular display of lights, sounds and special effects.
