Your adventure will begin at Pride’s Landing in Newburgh, NY and your captain will narrate the sights along the way, including:

• Washington’s Headquarters  – established as a historic site in 1850 because George Washington spent so much time here during the Revolutionary War!
• Mount Beacon  – the highest point between the Catskills and the Atlantic Ocean. Beacon fires were built here during the Revolutionary War.
• Bannerman Island  – this historic Island is known for its warehouse, built to resemble a Scottish Castle.
• Breakneck Mountain  – legend has it that the mountain was named for a farmer’s bull that fell down the cliff and broke its neck. A granite quarry at its base supplied material for the towers of the Brooklyn Bridge, the base of the Statue of Liberty, and sidewalks in New York City.
• Cold Spring – a quaint town known for its restaurants and antiques.
• World’s End – the deepest point of the Hudson River. Explorers believed that the river stopped there, but eventually realized that after the sharp “S” bend it continued
• Constitution Island  – during the Revolutionary War, chains were run from here to West Point.
• West Point – the United States Military Academy at West Point boasts beautiful & historic buildings including Eisenhower Hall, their chapel, field house, & more.

The health and well being of our guests and crew members is our number one priority. Our policies are designed to keep everyone safe, while also allowing for an enjoyable experience.

• All unvaccinated guests over the age of 2 are requested to wear a facial mask while indoors on the vessel.

We are running at up to full capacities which does not allow for much distancing on a passenger vessel. Please bring your mask if you are uncomfortable in what could be a crowded environment or if you are unvaccinated.

 Narrated Group Sightseeing Tours on the Hudson River

Enjoy a memorable, educational narrated sightseeing excursion on the Hudson River. For over 35 years, we have been sharing our love and knowledge of the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson Valley in Kingston, NY with residents, visitors, and groups of all types.

Description of Services

90 minute narrated sightseeing cruises aboard the 300 passenger M/V Rip Van Winkle II II on the historic Hudson River. Group discounts only apply to sightseeing cruises.

Tour Requirement

Minimum 15 adult passengers.

Group Rates

$30 Adults / $22 Child (ages 3-11) for groups of 15-39, $29 adults and $21 Child for groups of 40 or more. Please call 845-340-4700 for the best rates, or contact us . Additional discounted rates available for parties of 40 or more. Special sightseeing cruises can be arranged for 100 or more guests. Please inquire for pricing and availability.

Group Payments

$100 deposit required to hold your space. Balance is due 2 weeks prior to your cruise. If booking less than 2 weeks in advance, full payment is due immediately.

Everyone in the group must have a ticket and board together. We request that you arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to departure to allow ample boarding time.

Full beverage and bar service. Full snack bar service on scheduled cruises. Credit cards are accepted aboard the vessel for purchases.   Box lunches may be ordered in advance by contacting the business office.

Main Deck is fully enclosed with climate control air condition and heat. Restroom facilities on Main Deck only. 2nd Level Deck is covered  with seats for 100. 3rd deck is for best viewing with partial covering. Handicap accessibility is limited to river tides. Please call for details.
