Important information for buying tickets during the TaylorSwiftTix Presale powered by Verified Fan:

Our goal is to maximize the number of fans who have an opportunity to shop.

The link in your text will direct you to the show you were selected for — either a show that was available during registration or a show that was announced after registration closed.

If you were selected for a show available during registration, your code will enable you to shop  that  show  or any show in the same city  that was announced after registration closed. (You will not be able to shop a different show that was available during registration).

If you were selected for a show announced after registration closed — i.e., the link in your text directs you to one of those shows — your code is good for that show. We recommend you use the code for that show as it will have the greatest availability for you. If you choose, you can use your code instead for the show you prioritized first during registration; however, we expect demand for that show to be higher and your wait to be longer.

Remember, each code only allows you to purchase 6 tickets.

What are the health check requirements?

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour: All the U.S. and international dates and opening acts

era tour program

Taylor Swift opened the Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — which rebranded itself as "Swift Cit y" for the March 17 and 18 concerts — with a triumphant return to live performance as the first act in the history of that venue to sell out two nights on the same tour.

By that point, she'd already broken the all-time record for most concert tickets sold by an artist in a single day and passed Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour as the highest-grossing tour in history by a female artist.

And Swift rose to the occasion , leading her band through a marathon 44-song set that lasted more than three hours while delivering on her promise of "a journey through all of my musical eras."

So what does she do for an encore? Here's where the Eras Tour is headed next, adding two surprise songs to the set at each show. Here's a look at what she's played so far .

About Gracie Abrams

Since making her debut with “Mean It” in October 2019, Gracie Abrams has emerged as one of the most compelling songwriters of her generation.  She is a consummate songwriter who names iconic figures like Joni Mitchell and Taylor Swift as her most formative influences.

With the arrival of her debut project  minor  in summer 2020, she received glowing reviews from the likes of Pigeons & Planes, i-D, Vogue and NME. Executive-produced by Blake Slatkin — and also made with leading producers like Joel Little and benny blanco-  minor  features her beloved singles, “21,” and “I miss you, I’m sorry”.

In November 2021, Abrams returned with  This Is What It Feels Like , a 12-track project exploring such complex emotional experiences as self-betrayal, insecurity, and failed attempts at connection.  Abrams took on a greater role in the production process here, working with The National’s Aaron Dessner, Joel Little and Blake Slatkin to dream up each track.

Abrams kicked off 2022 with a headline tour of North America followed by a support slot on Olivia Rodrigo’s tour.  She reconnected with Dessner to release two songs this year – “Block me out” and “Difficult” – and continues to work on her debut album.

About GAYLE

GAYLE’s debut EP,  a study of the human experience volume one , captures the 18 year old’s most specific and vividly real emotions: the tension between longing for connection and fearing vulnerability, the risk and thrill of refusing to compromise your own needs. Released in early 2022, the project features her electrifying chart topping smash single “ abcdefu ”: a double-Platinum anthem that propelled the Nashville-based artist to over 2 billion streams globally and such milestones as being named as a Billboard Music Awards finalist, and earn such honors as American Music Award and People’s Choice Award nominations for Best New Artist, and 2 MTV VMA nominations. In the midst of navigating that whirlwind success, GAYLE headed back into the studio to create  a study of the human experience volume two —a powerful new EP that doubles down on its predecessor’s unapologetic truth-telling, with  American Songwriter  writing “GAYLE’s uncensored honesty as a lyrical storyteller is what makes her music so captivating.” Highlighted by the playfully chaotic “ fmk (with blackbear) ” and the blissful “ snow angels ,”  a study of the human experience volume two  is out now. Heralded as a magnetic live performer, GAYLE has spent the past year on a headline tour, playing alongside Tate McRae, AJR, My Chemical Romance, and at festival dates around the world.

HAIM are sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, hailing from Los Angeles, CA. The band made history as the first all-female rock group to be nominated for GRAMMY® Album of The Year with their third album, ‘Women In Music Pt. III.’ The album received two GRAMMY® nominations, the band’s single “The Steps” was nominated for ‘Best Rock Performance.’  The band again made history winning a Brit Award for Best International Group, the first time an all-female act has won this award since Destiny’s Child in 2002.  ‘Women In Music Pt. III’ was released in June and was met with an overwhelming amount of critical acclaim, rave reviews and included on a variety of year-end Top 10 lists. Taylor Swift is, at long last, headed back on the road. Following this week’s monumental chart debut of Midnights , her tenth studio album, Swift announced the U.S. leg of her 2023 Eras tour on Tuesday morning (Nov. 1), confirming her first official tour in nearly five years following months of rumors.

“I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time. I’ve been planning for ages and I finally get to tell you: I’m going back on tour,” Swift said on GMA . “The tour is called the Eras tour and it’s a journey through all of the musical eras of my career.”

Taylor Swift Is ‘IN SHAMBLES’ Over ‘Midnights’ Dominating the Hot 100 Top 10

Swift said that after kicking off in the U.S., the tour will go on an international swing, with those dates to be announced soon.

Support on the tour will come via a rotating cast of opening acts including Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, Muna, Haim, Gayle, Gracie Abrams and Owenn. The public on-sale date for the tour will be 10 a.m. local venue time on Nov. 18. Swift has partnered with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program, with fans able to register here for the TaylorSwiftTix presale now through Nov. 9 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Registered fans will get a code with exclusive access to purchase tickets on Nov. 15 starting at 10 a.m. local venue time.

Previous Lover Fest Verified Fan purchasers will get preferred access to participate in the TaylorSwiftTix presale; make sure to register with the same Ticketmaster Account as your Lover Fest purchase. Capital One cardholders will have priority access to purchase tickets on Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. local venue time through Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. local venue time or until supplies last.

Swift’s planned follow-up to the Reputation tour, Lover Fest, was scheduled to take place in 2020 following the 2019 release of her Lover album, but was canceled due to the pandemic. Since the Reputation tour, Swift has released four original studio albums — Lover , 2020’s Folklore and Evermore , and Midnights — as well as two re-recorded albums, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) , both in 2021.

This week, Midnights blasted in atop the Billboard 200 albums chart with 1.578 million equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 27, according to Luminate — the biggest week for any album in nearly seven years. Meanwhile, Swift made history on the Hot 100 by becoming the first artist to claim the chart’s entire top 10 in a single frame, with “Anti-Hero” debuting at No. 1 to become her ninth career chart-topper.

TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR

*International dates to be announced

About beabadoobee

Racking up more than 4.6 billion global streams and major critical acclaim, beabadoobee has been on a skyrocketing trajectory over the past few years since the release of her first acoustic songs, crafted in her childhood bedroom. Bea’s critically acclaimed debut album Fake It Flowers established her as a one of music’s most buzzed about talents, earned her a late-night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and drew mainstream and tastemaker praise on both sides of the pond.

Born in the Philippines and raised in London, beabadoobee signed with Dirty Hit Records following the success of her viral single “Coffee” which was sampled later in 2020’s sixth most streamed song in the world that year on “death bed (coffee for your head)”

With her flawless output of confessional bedroom pop songs and a dedicated Gen-Z fanbase, beabadoobee’s sophomore album Beatopia opened up a deeply personal world. The album received global praise and hit #4 on the UK Official Album Chart. Marking her biggest year yet with performances at Coachella, Glastonbury, Gov Ball, Reading & Leeds.

At just 22 years old, Bea has been championed by and has received major critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, NPR, Vogue, Wall Street Journal, Teen Vogue, LA Times, The FADER, i-D, The Face, Dazed, Stereogum, The Guardian, New York Times and more.

About Phoebe Bridgers

Phoebe Bridgers released her debut album in 2017 as a relatively unknown singer-songwriter. In the five years since, she’s become an internationally lauded musician with four acclaimed bodies of work to her name: her solo debut,  Stranger In The Alps , the  boygenius  EP with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus in 2018,   Better Oblivion Community Center , a surprise collaboration with Conor Oberst in 2019, and her multi-Grammy nominated sophomore album  Punisher  in 2020.

Punisher ’s release cemented her position as one of the most irresistibly clever and tenderly prolific songwriters of our era. The album gave Bridgers her first  Billboard #1  on the Emerging Artist Chart as well as Top Twenty Album Chart placings in the UK, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland and Belgium.  Amidst late night TV performances –  including a smashing debut on  Saturday Night Live   –  sold out tours, festival appearances and work for charity, Bridgers has become a highly sought-after collaborator featured on recent releases from The 1975, Marcus Mumford, Kid Cudi, The Killers, Paul McCartney, Bright Eyes and Taylor Swift.  She was named Billboard’s Trailblazer Of The Year at the 2022 Women In Music Awards.

About girl in red

The alternative pop artist from Oslo, born Marie Ulven – is continuing her path to world domination, kicking off 2022 with a  Best New Alternative Artist nomination for the iHeart Radio Music Awards.

It’s a well-deserved nod, considering she was the most played female artist on Alt Radio with “Serotonin”. The song reached #2 and spent 30 weeks on the Alt chart, 21 of those weeks in the Top 10. “Serotonin” streams currently surpass 84M for the track, with over 1.85 billion career streams to date.

girl in red spent much of 2022 on her first headline tour since the release of her debut album; she had a robust run across North America with major festival highlights including Coachella and Lollapalooza. She also had monster sets at Oya, Glastonbury and a sold out headline show at NYC’s famed Pier 17. A passionate live performer she will continue to tour, up next is a UK & EU headline run in 2023, including a sold out show at O2 Academy Brixton.

Ulven released her critically acclaimed debut album  if i could make it go quiet  in 2021, to world-wide critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. Celebrity supporters included Taylor Swift and Camilla Cabello and more. Press response was astoundingly positive, with many outlets proclaiming it  “Best of 2021”  including but not limited to Rolling Stone, Billboard, Variety, NPR, Stereogum, NYLON  and more.

In 2021, she also performed on  The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon  and  Late Night With Seth Meyers , as well as TV performances worldwide including but not limited to  Skavlan ,  Late Night Berlin  and  MTV’s EMA s.

Named a “Critic’s Pick” by  The New York Times  and “Best New Music” by  Pitchfork , they heralded, “the third album from the trio is far and away their best. Intimate, multidimensional, and wide-ranging, the songwriting shines with personality and a great curiosity for melody and style.” ‘Women In Music Pt. III’ debuted at #1 on the Album Sales Chart, Alternative Chart and Rock Chart following release week in the US. The band also earned the #1 album in the UK, marking their second time at the top of the UK albums chart. Haim released their debut album “Days Are Gone” in 2013 which earned them a GRAMMY® nomination for Best New Artist. Renowned for their engaging high-energy live performances, HAIM have toured the world playing headline shows and festival stages including Glastonbury, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and more.  On their most recent headlining tour in support of Women In Music Part III, HAIM sold out shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden as well as Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and 02 Arena in London

MUNA is magic. After releasing their now viral, life affirming, queer anthem “Silk Chiffon,” featuring the band’s new label head Phoebe Bridgers, the band have taken 2022 by storm. MUNA, the band’s self-titled third album, is a feat of an album — the forceful, deliberate, dimensional output of a band who has nothing to prove to anyone except themselves.

Katie Gavin, Naomi McPherson, and Josette Maskin, began making music together in college and now have become something more like family.

“What ultimately keeps us together,” Maskin said, “is knowing that someone’s going to hear each one of these songs and use it to make a change they need in their life.” And that’s what MUNA does: it carves out a space in the middle of whatever existential muck you’re doing the everyday dog-paddle through and transports you, suddenly — you who’ve come to music looking for an answer you can’t find anywhere else — into a room where everything is possible, where the disco ball’s never stopped throwing sparkles on the walls, where you can sweat and cry and lie down on the floor and make out with whoever, where vulnerability in the presence of those who love you can make you feel momentarily bulletproof and self-consciousness only sharpens the swell of joy.

About OWENN

This Summer, OWENN, the talented multi-hyphenate, brought his enigmatic spirit and smokey sense of soul to the forefront as he formally introduced himself on his debut tour, highlighted by a Main Stage East show at Lollapalooza Paris; OWENN carried the momentum from Europe having just recently opened for Lil Nas X on the two sold out New York, Radio City Music Hall shows – Long Live Montero Tour.

OWENN has attracted attention contributing dance moves on stages worldwide with A-list artists such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Normani and others. Including, most recently working with Lil Nas X to choreograph his tv performances for MTV VMAs and live show appearances on the iHeart Jingle Ball Tour.  OWENN became a staple of Taylor Swift’s show on her  1989 Tour  and  Reputation Tour .  In 2019, he starred alongside Taylor in her video for “ Lover ,” as well as Normani in her video for “ Motivation ”.

Inspired by Prince, Marvin Gaye, Usher, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, and the Smiths, among others, OWENN’s emotional and spiritual approach to dance translated to writing and recording. OWENN’s debut EP will be released in fall of 2023.

About Paramore

When Paramore revealed they were recording together in January 2022 the response from music fans around the world was immediate and celebratory. In the time since the Grammy-winning, RIAA-certified multi-Platinum band released their last album,  After Laughter  – and Hayley Williams unveiled two lauded solo albums – Paramore have become more popular than ever.  Over the last few years Paramore’s influence and popularity has snowballed, as the age of streaming organically propelled them into a position as one of the world’s biggest, most culturally compelling rock bands. For the band, who formed as teenagers in Tennessee, their 20-year trajectory has seen them grow from youthful outsiders to bone-fide pop culture icons, permeating the musical landscape by inspiring a new generation of musical talent. Their forthcoming sixth album  This Is Why , set for release on Atlantic Records in February 2023, is preceded by the dynamic title track, most immediate worldwide radio hit of the band’s career to date.

Globally renowned for their arena-filling and festival-headlining performance prowess, the opportunity to see Paramore play their first theater shows in years created headline news. Their Fall 2022 and UK arena shows for Spring 2023 sold out in minutes. The band are donating a portion of their ticket sales to organizations working in areas of essential community support, including ARC Southeast, Kansas Abortion Funds, Shelter Safe Canada, Support & Feed and REVERB.

Taylor Swift’s Record-Breaking Eras Tour: See the Setlist

by Lorie Liebig August 10, 2023, 5:18 pm

On Wednesday (August 9), the extensive first leg of Taylor Swift ‘s career-spanning Eras Tour came to a triumphant close. During the final performance of six straight nights at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the 33-year-old hitmaker announced that a re-recorded version of her 2014 album  1989  will be released on October 27.

Videos by American Songwriter

The news is just the latest in a sea of special announcements and surprises that have coincided with Swift’s first headlining tour in five years. Since kicking off on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona, The Eras Tour has been Swift’s platform to share news directly with her dedicated fans. Along with the release dates for Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and the extended edition of her 2022 album Midnights , she debuted her music videos for “Karma” and “I Can See You” from the stage.

The special connection that Swift has fostered with her massive fanbase has helped land The Eras Tour in the history books. The U.S. Justice Department launched a formal investigation into Ticketmaster after unpredicted demand for the tour caused the site to crash during its initial pre-sale.

On a more positive note, sales of beads and craft supplies rose due to thousands of fans creating Swift-themed friendship bracelets to exchange at show dates. The Eras Tour is also on track to become the highest-grossing concert tour in history , breaking a sales record previously held by Elton John.

If you didn’t get to see Swift’s visual spectacle, which includes vignette performances of songs from each of her past albums, you’re in luck. Additional U.S. dates were recently announced for 2024 , with more dates expected to be unveiled in the coming months.

If you don’t have your tickets to the Eras Tour yet, you can get them on StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Will Taylor Swift add 'Tortured Poets' to international Eras Tour? Our picks.

era tour program

A double album. Thirty one songs. Two hours and two minutes. In the spaces between the international, record- breaking Eras Tour, Taylor Swift released her 11th era: "The Tortured Poets Department." But will the behemoth tour make room for the newest addition to Swift's vast catalog and how?

"The Tortured Poets Department" showcases the singer's mastery to connect words like puzzle pieces seamlessly depicting the human experience and complex themes of false wedding promises, relationship imprisonment, break-ups and drug escapism, religion versus rebellion, childhood retrospection and the duality of internally suffering while externally performing. It would be a surprise for her not to push this body of art into the spotlight.

But how it fits into the 44-song three hour and 15-minute Eras tour is anyone's guess. And we won't find out until she resumes the tour on May 9 in Paris. I'll be there.

Read Melissa Ruggieri's review Taylor Swift's 'Tortured Poets' is hauntingly brilliant, even the 15 surprise songs

Whether or not she's incorporating the era has already been decided. Swift is 13 steps ahead . She plans her moves years in advance. There is a two-month break from the tour and she has been spending time in Los Angeles. Her team of dancers have not been as active on social media possibly because they're rehearsing a new set. Or maybe it's a coincidence?

The simplest path would be to absorb some of the the 31 songs into the acoustic set that comes after "Bad Blood" during the "1989" era. Swift has used the 2024 surprise songs to play mash-ups on the guitar and the piano. It's when she makes announcements and it's a custom gift to concertgoers and fans watch in envy on livestreams from around the world.

'Tortured Poets' release live updates What to know as Taylor Swift's new album debuts

More likely, she will add a "Tortured Poets" set. The show is segmented, allowing a new era to squeeze in. She could open the show with the new era, although "Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince's" opening line is a perfect opening for an artist who has released seven albums and hasn't seen fans: "It's been a long time coming." She could end the show with the set, but "Karma" is a good show closer.

Cue the confetti. If she ends the tour with "Tortured Poets," I'm guessing "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" is the closer.

The writing shines bright like Swift's glittering sequin stars which is reminiscent of and relative to "Folklore" and "Evermore." For the flow of the concert, it makes more sense to not place "Tortured Poets" next to these albums. The show flows with a narrative that spans almost two decades with highs and lows of energy. Two areas that could be good: after "Reputation" and before "Speak Now" or after the secret songs and before "Midnights." Maybe she dives into the stage to swim to the an asylum of typewriters and tormented thoughts.

The four eras with the most amount of songs are the latest records she owned that aren't re-records: "Lover" (six songs), "Folklore" (seven songs), "Evermore" (five songs) and "Midnights" (seven songs). Will she follow that flow? Will she cut songs from these eras?

I could see her performing the lead single "Fortnight," title track "The Tortured Poets Department," Eras Tour song "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart," "Down Bad," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me," "thanK you aIMee" and "So High School."

Swift holds the answer key. Sixty-nine shows are left on the recording shattering magnum opus for 2024.

A Swiftie’s Guide to Seeing the Eras Tour Movie

Portrait of Alejandra Gularte

“One, two, three, let’s go bitch!” Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is coming to theaters for a limited run on Friday, October 13, and there’s a lot to catch up on — Travis Kelce rumors not included . This is Taylor Swift’s first worldwide theatrical release — Miss Americana was only shown in select theaters for a limited time before hitting Netflix — and fans have already embraced the concert film almost as much as the sold-out tour itself. It broke presale records held by Star Wars and Spider-Man, and movie theaters are anticipating a level of excitement similar to a Marvel movie. But Swifties are stuck in a lavender haze of questions, trying to figure out if they can take the souvenir cups home or sing at the top of their lungs in a packed theater. Put on your sparkly boots and remember heartbreak is supposed to feel good in a place like this, as we break down everything you need to know about seeing the Eras Tour movie.

How do I get a ticket if I haven’t already?

While most opening night screenings are probably sold out, there are a few screenings with available tickets if you don’t mind sitting in the front row. Every AMC theater has at least four screenings per day during opening weekend, and most other theater chains are following suit.

If you can’t make it opening weekend, AMC, Alamo Drafthouse, and Cinemark have tickets on sale through November 5 — Regal has showings until November 9 in some areas. This gives you a chance to rewatch the concert over and over again. However, screenings are only shown Thursday to Sunday to mimic the feeling of the in-person concert.

Okay, I have my tickets. Can I dance and sing?

Yes! As long as it is not disrupting other Swifties’ enjoyment of the show. Alamo Drafthouse is encouraging fans to have fun while watching the movie. We’d recommend some arm dancing whilst sitting comfortably in your seat, as most theaters have rules about blocking emergency walkways or the view from other patrons. AMC specifically states , “We encourage dancing and singing throughout this concert film event, but please do not dance on our seats or block other guests from viewing, safely walking or exiting the auditorium.” And while some metalheads might disagree, singing does not equal screaming. The show is two hours and 45 minutes, not including trailers, and you’ll need to preserve it for the full 10 minutes of “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version).”

What about taking photos?

You can take photos with your friends and their friendship bracelets before the show starts, but once Tay is on the screen, the phone goes away. The same rules apply during regular theater screenings. You wouldn’t steal a getaway car , would you?

What’s the deal with merch?

Most theater chains all have some sort of Eras -themed soda cup and popcorn bucket. The material and/or color of the items may change depending on the theater, but the design is essentially the same. Regal has a pretty good deal for $19.89 (cute!). Fans who were scarred by the blue-crewneck saga and the hours-long merch queue at concerts may try to line up early to make sure they get their items, which isn’t a bad idea. There are free mini movie posters at select theaters like AMC , Regal, and Cinemark for ticket holders, a.k.a. another reason to get there early.

There is one theater that seems to have pulled out all the stops for merch, and it’s surprisingly not AMC, especially since it’s the one directly partnering with Swift for the movie. Alamo Drafthouse reportedly has Eras-inspired T-shirts, bracelets, sunglasses, and mirrorball cups for sale at every theater showing while supplies last.

How early should I get there?

Most theaters have you book a seat ahead of time, so there isn’t any need to camp out — an hour feels sufficient enough. There might be a line to get your free mini poster and buy collectible cups and popcorn buckets, so it’d be a good idea to arrive in advance. After you’ve gathered everything you need for the show, you can make new friends — you’ll need as many as possible to try to decipher whatever Easter egg Swift will probably sneak into the movie.

It’s nearly three hours long — when can I safely go to the bathroom?

It depends on what your favorite era is, but a good halfway mark is sometime during the Red era. The beginning of the era (right after “Enchanted”) includes a small dance number that’s a few minutes long, and if you time it right after Swift ends the Speak Now portion, you should make it back during the middle of “22.” You could also leave during “All Too Well (Ten Minute Version),” technically only missing one song.

If you need a break earlier (or just want to avoid crying in front of people), step out during “marjorie” or “champagne problems.”

Were songs cut from the film?

Sorry, we’re about to break a perfectly good heart. While it was previously confirmed that no songs would be cut from the Eras Tour film, a few ended up on the chopping block. Lover ’s “The Archer,” folklore ’s “cardigan,” 1989 ’s “Wildest Dreams,” evermore ’s “no body no crime” featuring HAIM, and Speak Now ’s “Long Live” (though the latter’s studio version was included in the end credits). The “seven” interlude in the folklore section was also removed from the theatrical version. But who’s to say Miss Swift won’t release an extended version on streaming in the future? Swifties know that “Maroon” was filmed and they want the high-definition version!

Will there be friendship bracelets?

Duh. You won’t be on your own kid. For almost a year, Swifties have been making frequent trips to the craft store; Michaels saw a 300 percent increase in sales from jewelry-making supplies in cities where the Eras Tour stops were held. There are a few easy ways to get your bracelets ready for trading. The first is to have one arm as your “trading” arm, filled with bracelets you’ve made to trade with others or ones you’re retrading, and have the other arm to display the ones you’re keeping. Makes it easy to separate your own collection from the ones you plan to switch out. The second is to hold your trading bracelets on an old shower or carabiner ring, separating them by theme or album.

If you’re stuck trying to figure out movie-related phrases for your bracelets, here are a few to get you started: “ If This Was a Movie ,” “ I can AMC you ,” “ flashback in a film reel, ” “ I Alamo-st Do ,” or — if you’re feeling a little unhinged — “ The Lorax .” Simpler ones like “In my movies era,” or “Eras Tour,” or your favorite Swift songs would totally work too. However, if you don’t want to risk burning yourself with a hot-glue gun , AMC and Alamo Drafthouse have both been rumored to have some bracelets of their own.

Anything else I should expect?

A lot of singing, some crying, and definitely some hand hearts.

Is Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Coming to Hulu? Here’s What We Know so Far

  • Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift Reacts To Ryan Gosling And Emily Blunt’s Barbenheimer Spoof Of “All Too Well” On ‘SNL’: “Watch Me Accidentally Catch Myself Singing This Version On Tour”

‘loot’s taylor swift episode shows a day in the life of a secret swiftie, joey king tells drew barrymore about “mind-blowing” experience starring in taylor swift’s “mean” music video when she was 10, jessica capshaw tells drew barrymore that she used to text with taylor swift — until swift changed her number.

If there’s one thing fans love, it’s a tour movie. Concert films give fans a behind-the-scenes look into how their favorite music gets made and shows pop stars in their element. Some have even made an art form out of it: just look at Beyoncé’s Homecoming .

It’s understandable, then, Taylor Swift fans rejoiced after screenshots appeared online showing a series called Taylor Swift: Eras Tour coming to Hulu. According to the screenshots (which have not been verified), the series would drop on Hulu Live + TV on March 14.

“Get excited for Taylor Swift’s stadium tour with hits from all her eras,” the image reads.

But March 14 came and went without a peep. So, what happened to the Eras Tour series fans were expecting?

Hulu might not have the Eras Tour documentary the Swifties were expecting, but it does have a series called Best of Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version).

“Get ready for the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour with some of her biggest videos,” the series description reads. It’s a compilation available on Hulu + Live TV of Swift’s performances and music videos for some of the songs she’s performing in her international stadium tour.

I need someone to actually answer…. Was the Hulu thing eras tour thing a prank or does it actually exist — opening night & 4/15 🖤 (@JesssFknVersion) March 15, 2023
YOU GUYS GUYS GUYS!!!! THERE'S THIS ON HULU???? HUHU OMG I DON'T HAVE HULU IF SHE EVER RELEASE THE FILM THERE DAMN pic.twitter.com/2Witib8s7b — j★mes🌛🪩 The Eras Tour (@cowboyIikejames) March 18, 2023

The special was curated by Vevo for Vevo Pop on Hulu, a Hulu spokesperson told Decider.

Fans online were disappointed by the update. But Swifites shouldn’t give up hope just yet!

Signage at the March 17 tour stop in Glendale, Ariz., notified fans that the concert was being recorded, though it did not specify what the footage will be used for.

If a tour documentary does get released, there’s no telling where it could end up streaming. Swift’s Reputation stadium tour film from 2018 is streaming on Netflix , while her most recent film Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions is streaming on Disney+.

Don’t give up hope, Swifties.

Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department is here, but it could be a logistical nightmare for the Eras Tour

A black and white photo of Swift holding up The Tortured Poets Department, and peering through the transparent vinyl

Get ready for another Taylor Swift era.

The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD) is the superstar's 11th studio album and is being released around the world today.

It'll be dropping the second the clock hits midnight on the east coast of America, which will be this afternoon in Australia.

  • 2pm AEST : ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria
  • 1:30pm ACST : Northern Territory and South Australia
  • 12pm AWST : Western Australia

So far, we know the album is a whopping 16 songs (not including bonus vinyl tracks) and features multiple collaborations, including with Florence + The Machine.

We also know the first single will be Fortnight featuring Post Malone, with a music video dropping tomorrow morning as well.

Despite no singles being released in its lead up, clues point to TTPD seemingly being inspired by the five stages of grief : denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

Plus, many fans have speculated that the album title is a reference to the name of a group chat Swift's ex was part of – The Tortured Man Club.

And while The Tortured Poets Department could very well set new streaming records, it also poses a logistical nightmare for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour: how do you include yet another album into a show that is over three hours long?

Below, two ABC reporters and Swifties weigh up the likelihood of how the megastar might adapt her sell-out tour when it recommences in Europe next month.

We could lose some songs from every era to make room

Jessica : This seems like the most likely course of action. To put things into perspective, the Eras Tour includes songs from nine albums, but their airtime varies wildly. Lover, Folklore and Midnights have at least six songs, while Speak Now gets just two. So this might be a chance to balance things out?

Georgie : It would make the most sense to me. I can't imagine a tour that doesn't spend at least some time on the freshest music. But, this is a unique scenario. You have an artist who is essentially doing a greatest hits tour at the age of 34 while she is still churning out new music.

If she does cut music to make room for Tortured Poets, it will be very divisive. Every fan has their favourite era. But, I think if she was to I would hope she cuts songs she has already toured. You have to remember she put out four (now five) albums since her last tour and I imagine it would make the most sense for her to give more air time to Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Midnights and TTPD.

Jessica : If you were in charge of Taylor Swift's setlist, which songs would you cull? I'd ditch The Archer from the Lover era so it ends with, well, Lover. I'd be ruthless and cut most of the songs from the Red era as nothing compares to All Too Well (10 Minute Version). But keep the Reputation portion as is! It's perfect.

What if smaller eras, like Fearless and Speak Now, got cut altogether?

Taylor Swift performs in a glittering lavender ballgown.

Jessica : I love chaos so I would not bat an eye if Taylor Swift dropped the entire Speak Now era from her tour. (But Enchanted is such a core memory for a lot of fans.) I know this might be a wild concept but there's not one song from her self-titled debut album in the Eras Tour (justice for Our Song!), so make of that what you will.

Georgie : I think this will cause a major generational divide. The beautiful part about the Eras Tour is you have fans new and old coming together. Taylor has been making music since 2009 and the Eras Tour has been a chance for people in their twenties and thirties to dress up in glitter and be teenagers again while sharing the new music with teenagers today. I'm a folklore girl through and through so I am hoping if any eras get sacrificed it's the older ones. But I can't lie, it's pretty special to belt out Love Story with thousands of other people.

Could we lose the two surprise songs for a few Tortured Poets hits?

Georgie : Controversial opinion but I would be ok with this. Although, take this as you want because I have experienced the Eras Tour. But the section is a gamble anyway. You never know what she's going to play and someone is always disappointed or their top pick is played another night. If you cut this section, no-one gets hurt. Maybe she subs it out for three best songs from TTPD?

Jessica : I missed out on tickets for the Eras Tour altogether so I was taken aback seeing fans who did score tickets complaining about which night got "better" surprise songs. You can't please everyone! I agree, this would level the playing field and take the comparison factor out of the tour… but I wonder if that uniqueness is a marketing factor as some super fans attend multiple concerts in the same city.

Sabrina and Taylor smile at each other on stage at a piano that’s decorated with painted flowers

Imagine if she just… didn't play her new album

Georgie : Don't say it or it might come true!

Jessica : I think this would be the riskiest option. Imagine the disappointment on the first night when the tour recommences in Paris on May 9. But some fans, especially in America, who witnessed the Eras Tour last year before this album was announced feel it's unfair if other countries get a different experience. But that's what happens with the passage of time!

Georgie : I see your point but you have to remember we're in an age where many people have watched the Eras Tour happen through TikTok and the cinema release. So is it really missing out when it's been inescapable for over a year? This could be a chance for the people who have waited so long for the Europe leg – who have basically watched the tour on streaming and all over TikTok – to have something unique and worth the cash.

Or she could just include the new album and make the show nearly *four hours* long?

Jessica : I think this option would please the most fans, but I genuinely don't know how she performs for hours on end each night and then travels through different time zones. Oh,  to be a billionaire with a whole team taking care of everything all the time.

Georgie : I don't see this happening. Costs would skyrocket and many stadiums have a noise curfew. That's new costumes, sets and dance routines.

Jessica : But I would eat up new costumes, sets and dance routines! A four-hour concert is outrageous, which makes me think she might very well pick this option. Time will tell.

Georgie : I'm obviously a Swiftie but when I found out about the new album and what that might mean for the tour I just felt… overwhelmed. I'm still processing the release of four albums and two Taylor's Versions in four years. And now she's putting out new music? It's simply too much! The concert is a marathon but if I did have to go to a four-hour show, I'd do it for Ms Swift.

The worst option: Swapping All Too Well (10 Minute Version) for the radio edit to save time

Jessica : Sacrilegious.

Georgie : The people would riot. Jake Gyllenhaal would be thrilled though.

Final thoughts

Jessica : With everything going on in the world, I think this is a fun problem to ponder, and an interesting one for Taylor to tackle. I wish her well in whatever form the Eras Tour takes, because fans are going to have strong opinions either way.

Georgie: I worry that Taylor needs a holiday but, as you said, she's a billionaire now so I think she'll be fine. I hope she tours future albums but I also support her having a rest. Go chill with the cats and Travis. You've danced in high heeled boots for two years.

Taylor Swift's 'Tortured Poets' Era is Here: What to Know About Her Latest Double Album

I f there's one thing Taylor Swift will do, it's surprise her fans with something new. That was certainly the case when the superstar this week dropped not one, but two new albums: The Tortured Poets Department and its surprise expanded version, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology. Now the video for the album's first single Fortnight, featuring Post Malone, is out, with Swift dropping it Friday night.

In total, Swifties got 31 new songs to stream in the wee hours of Friday morning, including the four bonus tracks that were previously exclusive to the CD variant editions of Tortured Poets.  Swift described  Tortured Poets on her Instagram as a reflection of "a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time -- one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure." Tortured Poets is already breaking records: It's the most streamed album in a single day in 2024,  Billboard reports .

Read more : Apple Music vs. Spotify: How to Decide

Swift announced The Tortured Poets Department in February, after winning her 14th Grammy award. Since then, she's unveiled four variants of The Tortured Poets Department, during the most recent leg of The Eras Tour . Additionally, a mysterious  YouTube Short  was posted to Taylor's account, encouraging fans to join the "For a Fortnight Challenge."

Here's everything you need to know about listening to The Tortured Poets Department. We'll keep updating this story with any of the last-minute announcements and surprises Swift undoubtedly has in store. For more, here's how to stream The Eras Tour concert film and here's our list of the  best music streaming services of 2024 .

How to stream Taylor Swift's new album, The Tortured Poets Department

You can stream The Tortured Poets Department on your streaming service of choice. Both Spotify and Apple Music subscribers are currently able to stream The Tortured Poets Department, as well as users of YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Pandora and Tidal.

That includes The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, which contains all 31 new songs. You can see all the options at Swift's link tree here .

Tracks and collaborators on The Tortured Poets Department

The Tortured Poets Department has 16 brand-new songs and four variant-specific bonus tracks. Post Malone and Florence & The Machine both appear on the album, and Swift teamed up with long-time friend Jack Antonoff and recent collaborator Aaron Dessner on her latest record.

This record has several solo writing credits for Swift. My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys and Who's Afraid of Little Old Me were both penned solely by the superstar. With the release of TTPD: The Anthology, Swift adds The Black Dog, imgonnagetyouback, Peter and The Manuscript to her solo songwriting credits.

The standard tracklist for the album is as follows:

  • Fortnight (featuring Post Malone)
  • The Tortured Poets Department
  • My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys
  • So Long, London
  • But Daddy I Love Him
  • Fresh Out the Slammer
  • Florida!!! (featuring Florence & The Machine)
  • Guilty as Sin?
  • Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?
  • I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)
  • I Can Do It with a Broken Heart
  • The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  • The Alchemy
  • The Black Dog
  • imgonnagetyouback
  • The Albatross
  • Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus
  • How Did It End?
  • So High School
  • I Hate It Here
  • thanK you aIMee
  • I Look in People's Windows
  • The Prophecy
  • The Manuscript

The first 16 songs were expected as part of the release of The Tortured Poets, but at 2 a.m. on April 19, Swift surprised fans with a double album release. Songs 17 through 31 make up the second half of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.

How to find The Tortured Poets Department on CD and vinyl

There are four confirmed variant editions of TTPD, named after the bonus track each will include: The Bolter , The Albatross , The Black Dog and The Manuscript . While the variants are available for sale on Swift's website, fans can also find them at Target. These do not include the extra 15 songs included in TTPD: The Anthology.

The majority of the variant editions are available as CDs, including The Bolter, The Albatross and The Black Dog. The fourth variant edition, named after the bonus song The Manuscript , is available as a CD and on vinyl in phantom clear or ghost white colors only at Target. Swift also held preorders for vinyl bundles of the other variant editions (The Bolter, The Albatross and The Black Dog) that included a deluxe CD and cassette, but those were only available until April 12.

In every social media post that Taylor Swift has made, she includes the same preorder link , which includes other retailers besides her website and Target, like Barnes & Noble. At Target, you can buy each CD individually for $14, and The Manuscript vinyl is $46. There is not currently a place where you can find all four of the bonus songs on the same CD, which is why completists and collectors ought to be prepared to drop some cash .

How do I stream bonus songs and The Tortured Poets Anthology?

Good news: As part of the 2 a.m. double album release, the four confirmed bonus songs are included in TTPD: The Anthology. So now you don't need to buy each of the four variant editions on CD and vinyl to listen to The Bolter, The Albatross, The Black Dog and The Manuscript. TTPD: The Anthology is available wherever you stream music.

The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology has yet to see a physical release, though there is a digital download available for $15 on Swift's website. So fans and collectors will still need to buy the variant physical copies of the album if you want to hear the four bonus tracks. We'll update this story if Swift releases a physical version of TTPD: The Anthology. You may hear clips of the album on TikTok as Swift recently agreed to allow some of her songs back on the app.

This isn't how Swift has previously handled bonus song releases. With her last original album Midnights in 2022, she dropped songs in stages: the original album, a 3 a.m. release with seven more songs, then haphazardly released singles on CD and vinyl. There are three versions of the album on streaming, but there still isn't one central album -- on streaming, CD or vinyl -- where you can listen to all of the songs from the Midnights era. So it's safe to say that Swift took the shorter route this tiime.

What to know about the alleged leak of The Tortured Poets Department

On April 18, just a day before the album was due to drop, the BBC reported that there had allegedly been a leak of Swift's latest album. The leak has not been confirmed or denied by Swift's camp, but fans online have encouraged one another not to listen to the new album until the official release by Swift. In addition, X (formerly Twitter) has banned  searches for "Taylor Swift leak" much like the platform did when AI-generated explicit images of Swift circulated earlier this year.

While some fans online claimed to have listened to the leak, we recommend that you stream the album on Spotify or Apple. Not Clicking on links advertising a leaked copy of the album might not be  safe . Bad actors are likely to capitalize on fans' excitement for the album, and those links could potentially be dangerous viruses or explicit content.

Moscow metro tour: architectural styles of the subway.

era tour program

Duration: 2 hours

Categories: Culture & History, Sightseeing

This metro tour of Russia’s capital and most populous city, Moscow, is your chance to get a unique insight into the beautiful and impressive architecture of the city's underground stations. Admire their marble walls and high ceilings representing Stalin's desire for glory after World War 2, and see first-hand how the interiors change with the rise of new political eras. Your guide will lead you through the complex network, which is one of the most heavily used rapid transit systems worldwide, with over two billion travelers in 2011.

Opened in 1935, Moscow’s underground system, now 190 miles (305 km) long with 185 stations, is today one the largest and most heavily used rapid transit systems in the world. On this Moscow metro tour, discover the impressive architecture of Moscow’s underground stations and learn how they reflect the Soviet era.

Getting around by metro, your local guide will take you through parts of Moscow’s infamous history. Stop at stations built during the time of the USSR (Soviet Union) that are praised as one of the most extravagant architectural projects from Stalin’s time. After World War 2, he was keen on establishing Stalinist architecture to represent his rising regime and a recognized empire. Learn how when his successor started the de-Stalinization of the former Soviet Union in 1953, the extravagancy of the architecture was toned down.

Discover how the unique character of each station reflected several different eras. While stations like Kievskaya and Slavyansky Bulvar have pompous halls and high stucco ceilings brimming with extravagant decorations, those built later, like Volzhskaya, are lightly adorned with sparse furnishings. Architect Alexey Dushkin and painter Alexander Deyneka were just two of the many artists who made these magnificent landmarks possible.

Revel in Moscow's glory days, as well as the years of scarcity, on this fascinating Moscow metro experience. Conclude your tour at one of the central stations in Moscow. If you're lucky, you may even find the secret entrance to the unconfirmed Metro-2, a parallel underground system used by the government -- a mystery which has neither been denied nor confirmed today.

This is the least confronting of our tour range. Transport used on the trip is either private or a very comfortable public option, the activities included are usually iconic sites and locations that are not all too confronting.

The tour can include a mix of private and public transport providing a level of comfort that is slightly below what you would experience at home. Sites visited are usually iconic sites, tours can also include market visits, visits to communities etc that provide the traveller with a fantastic insight into destination.

Expect to rough it for parts of this tour, whether it's a packed public bus where you are forced to stand, a visit to a local market, a local community, you are sure to have an experience that is very different from what you're used to at home.

The comforts of your home town and the environment you are used to are more of a rarity. Expect some challenging transport options, visits to local sites and areas that don't resemble anything at home.

Physical Rating

Our physical rating gives you an idea of how much huffing and puffing you can expect on the tour. While generalisations are always tricky, a summary of our gradings is as follows…

These tours have very limited physical activity. Usually climbing in and out of the transport provided, walking through sites, markets etc included in the itinerary.

These tours have a bit of physical activity but nothing that should challenge you too much. This could be climbing on and off public transport through to a walk through the destination you're travelling in, they can include walking only tours or a combination of walking and transport.

These tours involve a bit of physical activity from walking up and down hills in the destination you're travelling in or the surrounding areas. Climbing on and off local transport or riding a bike up to 30 kms along predominantly flat terrain or jumping in a kayak for a gentle paddle on flat water.

These Tours will provide you with some solid physical activity. Whether its bike riding, walking, trekking, kayaking or riding on public transport you will need to have a good level of fitness to enjoy this tour.

Be prepared for some serious physical activity. These tours are our most challenging and involve some serious walking, hiking or bike riding. Can involve step climbs by foot or pedal and some challenging public transport options in the destination you are travelling.

Luxury Rating

Some trips are like a stroll on the beach, while others have you trekking alpine passes. Some of you thrive on camping out on the savannah, while others may prefer a hot shower and a comfortable bed in a lodge. Follow the grading systems below to find the right trip for you.

To help you choose the trip that's right for you, we've broken all of our trips down into four service levels. Measuring the comfort level of the accommodation and transport. Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

University of Michigan football program penalized for Covid-era recruiting violations, NCAA says

The Michigan Wolverines celebrate a touchdown against Rutgers in

The NCAA penalized the defending national champions Michigan Wolverines football team on Tuesday, accusing the program and non-coaches of impermissible contacts with student-athletes during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The NCAA has reached an agreement on the recruiting violations and coaching activities with the university and five people who work or worked for the football program, it said in a s tatement. The penalties include three years of probation, a fine, recruiting restrictions and one-year "show-cause orders" for the five participants, the NCAA said.

“The negotiated resolution also involved the school’s agreement that the underlying violations demonstrated a head coach responsibility violation and the former football head coach failed to meet his responsibility to cooperate with the investigation,” the NCAA said, presumably about former head coach Jim Harbaugh, who is now the coach of the NF L 's L os Angeles Chargers .

"The committee will not discuss further details in the case to protect the integrity of the ongoing process, as the committee’s final decision — including potential violations and penalties for the former coach — is pending," the NCAA said.

Representatives for Harbaugh could not immediately be reached for comment Tuesday afternoon. University representatives also could not immediately be reached.

The NCAA statement did not name any of the five people who work or worked for the football program.

The violations occurred during the Covid-19 "dead period," the NCAA said, when contact with recruits and athletes was not permitted. The violations included “impermissible tryouts, and the program exceeding the number of allowed countable coaches when noncoaching staff members engaged in on- and off-field coaching activities” that included technical and tactical skills instruction.

Harbaugh, who coached the Wolverines for nine years, led his team to its first national championship since 1997 in January, when they defeated the Washington Huskies 34-13.

Weeks later, he accepted a job with the Chargers. Harbaugh, a former quarterback who played at Michigan and suited up in the NFL for the Chicago Bears, the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens, also coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014, reaching the 2013 Super Bowl, which the 49ers lost to the Baltimore Ravens, coached by Harbaugh's brother, John.

Although this past season in Ann Arbor was his best on the gridiron, with the Wolverines going 15-0, it was not without drama for Harbaugh.

Harbaugh was suspended for half of the regular season in two separate investigations.

The Big 10 conference suspended him for the last three games of the regular season after he was caught in the middle of a  sign stealing scandal . He had already sat out the first three games after he accepted the university’s decision to  suspend him  over accusations that he made false statements to NCAA investigators who were looking into allegations of recruiting violations during the coronavirus pandemic.

CORRECTION (April 16, 2024, 11:20 p.m. ET): A headline on a previous version of this article misstated who was Michigan’s coach at the time of the violations. It was Jim Harbaugh, not John Harbaugh.

5 Takeaways From a Year of Medicaid Upheaval

In the year after a pandemic-era policy preserving Medicaid coverage lapsed, more than 20 million people were dropped from the program at some point.

A portrait of Lindsey McNeil, Benjamin Galbraith and their daughter, Noelle, standing in a suburban neighborhood.

By Noah Weiland

Reporting from Washington

Lindsey McNeil and her 7-year-old daughter, Noelle, who has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, were jolted by an alert they received from Florida’s Department of Children and Families late last month that Noelle would be losing her Medicaid coverage 10 days later.

Their lives have since begun to unravel, Ms. McNeil said. Noelle has stopped seeing the four therapists she visits each week and is running low on medications she needs to prevent her seizures from flaring up. Monday brought a measure of relief: Ms. McNeil learned that Noelle’s coverage had been temporarily reinstated as they wait for a resolution to an appeal filed with the state.

“We’ve worked really hard to grow our family and our life and a home for this child,” Ms. McNeil said. “It’s a little daunting to think about what she may lose, and what we may not be able to provide for her.”

Noelle was one of the most recent casualties of the unwinding of a pandemic-era federal policy that required states to keep people on Medicaid, the health insurance program that covers low-income Americans, in exchange for more federal funding. While the policy was in place, enrollees were spared regular eligibility checks. Enrollment in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program swelled to a record of more than 90 million, and the nation’s uninsured rate dropped to record lows.

But the policy lapsed at the start of April last year , allowing states to resume trimming their rolls, and the so-called unwinding process that ensued has had far-reaching effects. More than 20 million Americans lost Medicaid at some point in the past year, according to KFF , a nonprofit health policy research group — an unprecedented event in the joint federal-state program’s nearly 60-year history.

The disruption is not over yet. Only about 70 percent of renewal checks have been completed, according to Daniel Tsai, a senior official at the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, suggesting that millions more people could lose coverage by the time the process concludes.

Here are some takeaways from the shrinking of Medicaid over the past year.

Many of those who lost coverage have not found an alternative.

In a survey released on Friday by KFF, almost a quarter of adults who lost Medicaid during the unwinding said they were currently uninsured, while 70 percent of those who were dropped from the program said they had wound up uninsured at least temporarily.

The Affordable Care Act’s marketplaces, which recorded a record number of sign-ups for 2024, provided a refuge for some people. Edwin Park, a Georgetown University researcher, pointed to recent federal data that showed that roughly 25 percent of those losing Medicaid had signed up for marketplace plans.

Children have been hit especially hard.

More than half the nation’s children were covered by Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program before the unwinding began, and the toll on that population has been pronounced.

Nearly five million children have lost Medicaid so far , according to state data analyzed by Georgetown researchers. About two million of them have been in Texas, Georgia and Florida, all of which have not expanded the program under the Affordable Care Act.

Coverage losses have been severely damaging even when temporary. In Richmond, Va., Trina King’s 12-year-old son, Jerome, who has Down syndrome, went about two months without Medicaid late last summer and early fall. Ms. King said the gap was the result of a series of delays in confirming Jerome’s eligibility after she had moved and missed a renewal packet. The mailing had been sent to her old address even though she had notified the state that she had moved, Ms. King said.

Jerome, whose coverage was eventually reinstated, skipped appointments with a roster of specialists who accept Medicaid, including a spine doctor; an ear, nose and throat specialist; a cardiologist; and a urologist, Ms. King said. During the gap in his coverage, his sessions with a home health aide had to be canceled. Ms. King put off a post-surgical follow-up appointment that Jerome needed and also skipped some of his routine medical appointments.

Most people are being dropped because of bureaucratic mistakes.

Like Jerome, roughly 70 percent of people who have lost Medicaid were dropped for what were considered procedural causes, according to a KFF analysis of state data. Many people lost coverage after they did not return required paperwork to a state Medicaid office, while others were accidentally booted because of technical glitches.

Hunter Jolley, a 33-year-old bartender in Little Rock, Ark., who makes around $19,000 a year, lost Medicaid last fall after renewal paperwork was mailed to an old address. Mx. Jolley, who uses the pronouns they and them, said they had failed to secure coverage again despite applying three times to get back into the program.

“It’s all pretty terrifying,” Mx. Jolley said, adding that they had skipped medical and therapy appointments and reduced psychiatry appointments to once every three months, paying $270 out of pocket for them.

Those technical errors stem in part from how Medicaid is organized.

The different ways that state Medicaid programs are set up help explain the varying rates of procedural disenrollments, health policy experts said.

“People often think of one big Medicaid program when we talk about aggregate numbers, but the experience of people across the country, depending on the state they live in, has been very different,” said Mr. Tsai, the federal Medicaid official.

Jennifer Tolbert, a health policy expert at KFF, said the unwinding had laid bare the nation’s highly decentralized system of Medicaid administration, with states using different technology, some of it outdated and glitchy.

Kelly Cantrelle, a senior Medicaid official in Nevada, said the software used by the state to verify eligibility had not been programmed to vet each member of a household correctly, a problem that at one point led to children being booted from Medicaid even if they were still eligible for it. The state’s contractor responsible for the software had to scramble to update it, she added.

Carrying out the enrollment checks has been a complex undertaking even for large state Medicaid bureaucracies. Pennsylvania had roughly 6,000 full-time employees working on the unwinding, said Hoa Pham, an official with the state’s Department of Human Services.

Some argue that trimming enrollment will return Medicaid to its intended scope.

Some health policy experts and state leaders have made the case that paring down the Medicaid rolls over the past year was needed to preserve the program for those eligible for it.

Researchers at the Paragon Health Institute, a conservative policy research organization, estimated last summer that there were about 18 million people on Medicaid who were ineligible for coverage, costing the program more than $80 billion annually.

“Medicaid has eligibility requirements that are on the books,” said Drew Gonshorowski, a researcher at Paragon who has written about the potential savings from trimming the Medicaid rolls. “We shouldn’t be haphazardly expanding coverage by just not doing eligibility determinations. The program should work as intended.”

Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations

By Claudia Looi 2 Comments

Komsomolskaya metro station

Komsomolskaya metro station looks like a museum. It has vaulted ceilings and baroque decor.

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

Four-Star Lineman Alai Kalaniuvalu Schedules Visit with Utah

  • Author: Elijah Grayson-Murray

Utah continues their push to build an impenetrable offensive line as they have scheduled a June 8th official visit with sought after Bishop Gorman prospect Alai Kalaniuvalu according to 247Sports.

Kalaniuvalu is a 2025 four-star interior offensive lineman out of Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, Nevada, and coming in at 6'4" 300-pounds, it's clear to see why he has received offers from the most prestigious programs in the nation.

He currently ranks as the 4th best IOL in Nevada, the 9th best IOL in the nation, and the 180th overall prospect in the nation.

Kalaniuvalu has an extensive offer list consisting of Washington State, Washington, UNLV, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Syracuse, Stanford, San Diego State, Penn State, Oregon State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Michigan State, Miami, Idaho, Georgia, Florida, Colorado, BYU, Auburn, Arizona State, Arizona, and Alabama.

However, the teams listed above are just the teams he has yet to schedule a visit with. His summer travel schedule consists of Nebraska on April 26th, Cal on May 17th, USC on May 31st, Utah on June 7th, Michigan on June 14th, and Oregon on June 21st.

Utah are facing an uphill battle for the highly touted lineman, however, all hope isn't lost as Kalaniuvalu does have a visit in place sandwiched within his already elite visit schedule that is sure to grow as the days go by.

If Coach Whittingham can work his magic and manage to secure Kalaniuvalu's hard commitment, it would be a monumental get for the Utes 2025 class that, QB protection aside, would surely turn eyes and lead to more high level recruits following suit.
