Who doesn’t love food and snacks? Thankfully the Ringling Museum features the Ringling Grillroom in Sarasota! This is a modern take on an American restaurant, and people love to go here for casual lunches. This cafe is located on the ground floor of the McKay Visitor’s Pavilion. The grill is open to visitors of the museum as well as general public! You can make a reservation, or you can walk in! There is both indoor and outdoor seating.

Aside from the Ringling Grill there is also the Ringling Concessions which is great for snacks, especially if you have kiddos. Here you can get salads, popcorn, and more! Visit Private Art Collection(s)

Have you ever looked at an art collection and wondered how much it is worth? Consider the Ringling’s private art collections. This display is appraised at around 30-40 million dollars. The collections at the Museum itself include over 28,000 works! The works represent a variety of time periods and styles, like the non-Western art from ancient periods, and more.

John Ringling started this collection and it continues to grow to this day! The Museum archives and Art Library also have research collections that focus on John Ringling. You can see things like institutional records of the historic circus here! And even if you can’t see these collections in person, many of the Ringling Museums archives can also be viewed online now! It is accessible and fun!

Victoria sits with her back to the camera as she gazes at a piece of an art collection at the Ringling Museum.

Stroll the Bayfront Gardens

The Bayfront Gardens. Everyone knows them, everyone loves them! When you visit the Ringling Museum are you more than welcome to explore the Bayfront Gardens at your leisure. But not all art is alive in the gardens! Make sure to stop by the Dwarf Garden, or even see the awe-inspiring statues of couples situated in the greenery. Guests also tend to love to take strolls in the breeze that sweeps through the Bayfront promenade and Millennium Tree Trail! There is also the Rose Garden here too! No matter what garden you visit, honestly, you won’t be disappointed!

The pathways of the rose garden all lead to a gazebo in the middle, while trees and flowers bloom around it, at the Ringling Museum.

Explore the Banyan Trees

Since we were recently talking about gardens and plants, it only seems appropriate to also talk about Banyan trees! Mable, when creating the estate of the Ringling Museum, imagined the estate with exotic trees and plants! So they collected them along with their art. Today, you can see touches of this exotic life growing on the estate itself.

On the 66 acre garden of trees, there are 14 Banyan trees. This is the largest collection in Florida. They are all located on the Millennium Tree Trail. Together, they provide a nice relief from the intense Florida sun and pair well with the other trees of oak, holly, citrus, and magnolia that also sit in the wonderful area.

Victoria stands at the base of Banyan trees at the Ringling Museum: the bamboo tower around her.

Visit The Circus Museum

Want to be a part of the greatest show on Earth? You can take a break from the art and gardens in the Circus Museum! After all, the Ringling Museum wouldn’t be the Ringling Museum without a tribute to the circus. Walk the wire, or squeeze into a clown car here! You get to truly see it all: you’ll find yourself wondering at the glittering costumes and cannons.

Or stop by the Circus model and Greatest Show on Earth Mural to celebrate this historical moment in entertainment. Visitors here will find wardrobes, props, equipment, wagons, and more. It is a must-see! And don’t forget to check out the films that are playing in between the props to learn more about this circus!

About John Ringling and the Ringling Circus

John Ringling , a self-made entrepreneur, found success as one of seven Ringling Brothers. As one of the brothers, he agreed to collaborate with the Barnum & Bailey Circus to bring something incredible to people across the country through the art of travel circuses. He played a significant role in helping turn the circus into what it has become today, something families look forward to visiting when they want to see fun and adventure live and in front of their faces.

Choosing to combine two circuses into one for a truly remarkable, one-of-a-kind experience for viewers, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey debuted their new circus at Madison Square Garden for spectators to watch and enjoy. The move would change everything within the circus world as they knew it and quickly led to the Ringling Brothers becoming known as the Circus Kings, John included.

So, what makes John so special? He was the last surviving brother and operated as President of the company, handling everything from logistics to scheduling, management, and more with help from his wife, Mable.

Because of his remarkable success as President, John decided to buy the American Circus Corporation in 1929 for a staggering  $1.7 million, becoming the proud owner of every single travel circus in the United States. His commitment to the circus world doesn’t go unnoticed and will continue to live on as people visit the Ringling Museum and learn more about him and his wild journey.

Sarasota – Winter Home of the Ringling Circus

Nearly 100 years ago, John Ringling decided it was the perfect time to transport the circus, known as The Greatest Show on Earth, from its original winter home in Bridgeport, Connect, shifting it to the beautiful, warm area of Sarasota, Florida. It was during a time when John and his wife, Mable, were investing in real estate in the area, ultimately falling in love with everything about the beautiful city of Sarasota.

While it was a huge decision to make, it benefited John Ringling and the winter circus as it became the biggest attraction in the city , capturing the attention of many and turning Sarasota into the place to be during the winter.

What to See at the Ringling Museum

When visiting the Ringling Museum, you can expect to see and learn a lot. From the impressive gallery full of fantastic artwork to the tour of the Ca’d’Zan Mansion and so much more, you’ll spend hours gaining valuable new knowledge and discovering all the hidden secrets and exciting tidbits about the circus world.

Here are some of the exhibits you can enjoy, and our thoughts about them from our own visit!

Circus Museum at the Ringling

The Circus Museum at the Ringling is one of the best spots to visit during a trip! Honestly, I was a super interested in this at first. But after popping into the exhibit, I can say that this was one of the COOLEST exhibits! We loved it and found the whole collection absolutely fascinating!

The interactive museum has something for everyone, whether traveling alone, with other adults, or with the children. Have a fantastic time learning more about the history of the circus while trying your luck at walking on a wire or squeezing yourself into the bright-colored clown car. Get an inside look at some of the most stunning costumes worn by performers throughout the decades and even review the archives to learn more about past performances and how they’ve changed over the years.

There were so many fun things to explore and interact with at the circus museum. PLUS — they have seriously the coolest gigantic dioramas that show the massive scale of the production when the circus came to town. I knew it was a big deal back in the day, but this really put it into perspective. It was like building an entire town…and then picking it up to move it, and build it again somewhere else!

Do NOT miss the diorama room. You can walk all the way around and it actually takes quite a while. But it is really cool to see.

Ca’d’Zan (House of John) – AKA “The Ringling Mansion”

Ca d'Zan Ringling mansion in sarasota front

Would you like to see what it was like living in luxury as a circus leader? If so, you’ll want to stop by the Ca’d’Zan, a place that John and Mable Ringling once called home. Despite their relatively humble beginnings in life, the two would eventually live a life of luxury. The mansion was first built in the 1920s and quickly became the coveted winter home for the couple, who spent most of their winters beating the cold weather by living in this beautiful mansion.

The Mediterranean-style mansion takes up roughly 36,000 square feet, with more than 50 rooms sprawled throughout the property, and is quite the sight to see. Get a feel for how the Ringling couple lived their lives with a tour of this spacious, stunning mansion with its incredible architecture and interior design.

John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art

Another fantastic sight to see during your trip to Sarasota is the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. Long before his death, John Ringling became a collector of artwork who found inspiration and joy in such astonishing pieces crafted by artists across the country. Meeting Mable, someone as enthusiastic about art as him, was like a dream come true.

The couple would eventually spend time attending auctions and bidding on different pieces, including tapestry and paintings, amassing an impressively large collection of artwork to use around their home. Now, much of that artwork is displayed for the rest of the world to see at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. If you’re an art enthusiast looking forward to seeing thought-provoking pieces that can leave you inspired, this is the museum to visit.

How Long Does It Take to Visit the Ringling Museum?

A trip to the Ringling Museum can take several hours, at minimum. It really depends on how much you want to explore.  You could just make a quick trip of it, but if you really want to soak in the circus museum, mansion and also the art museum, then I think you do need the better part of a day.

If anything, plan to spend 3-4 hours minimum, just to ensure you aren’t super rushed. Still, I think you could spend even more time if you prefer.

Will Kids Enjoy the Ringling Museum?

Many kids will enjoy certain aspects of visiting the Ringling Museum. In particular, the Circus Museum is a really fun area. There are lots of colorful costumes and also many interactive exhibits, including some videos too. While the Ringling Mansion and Art Museum may be of less interest to children.

When the kids get restless there are open grassy park-like areas in between the various exhibit buildings where the kiddos can work out some of their energy. The David F. Bolger Playspace is a playground area on the property with slides, swings, and fountains too.

Is There Food Available at the Ringling? Or Can I Bring a Picnic?

Coolers are allowed if you’d prefer to save money and pack a lunch (just not during special events). Because you can expect to be there for quite a while, consider packing some snacks for the kids.  The Dwarf Garden is a great place to set up a picnic and enjoy a break from exhibits.

But there are also multiple food options onsite around the property. You can visit Mable’s Coffee and Tea to grab a quick sip and a bite to eat or you can stop by The Ringling Grillroom, The Ringling Concessions, and The Wandering Chef Food Truck.

How Much Do Tickets Cost to Visit the Ringling & How Can You Buy Tickets?

Museum admission tickets cost $25 for adults, $23 for seniors at least 65 years old and up, $5 for children between the ages of 6 and 17, and are completely FREE for anyone five and under. Special discounts are available for military members, college students, and Florida state teachers. If you fall under one of these categories, you can enjoy access to the museum at a reduced price!

3) The Ringling Museum of Art

The Museum of Art houses a variety of collections and pieces. Some are temporary while others are permanent. For example, the Chao Center for Asian Art is a permanent fixture. Additionally, in the courtyard there is a replica of David by Michelangelo. On the other hand, the special exhibitions wing changes constantly. You can visit again and again over time and still be newly amazed at the art contained within the museum.

John and Mable Ringling had a vast collection of art from all of their travels around the world. They desired to share their collection with the people of Florida for cultural and educational purposes. Additionally over the years, others have made additions to the Museum of Art. Some funded the opening of new galleries while others funded restoration projects. The Museum of Art thus stands today as an attraction built by the Ringling family as well as many others who sacrificed both time and money to ensure its success.

From 5pm to 8pm on Thursdays, adult visitors can access the Museum of Art for only $15. Children cost $5 while members are free.

4) Circus Museum

Get a glimpse into the world of the circus and what made it so spectacular at the Ringling Circus Museum. There is a 44,000+ piece miniature replica of the Howard Bros. Circus that demonstrates the layout of the circus. This of course includes the main show tent, but it also includes all of the other circus aspects as well. Many do not think about all of the tents and supplies needed for food, the animals, the guests, the train, etc. Additionally, if you happen to be a train collector, you can create your own Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey circus train replica. Bachmann Trains  has an extensive collection, including a couple varieties of circus train sets.

Throughout the Circus Museum, visitors learn the history behind the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus. The museum depicts all of the success of the circus as well as all of the hard work put in to make it successful. Furthermore, there is a tightrope walk if you dare test your abilities. But do not fear, it is a narrow beam just off the ground. Additionally, there are other interactive and realistic displays throughout the museum.

Ca’ d’Zan, translated to the House of John, is the beautiful mansion in which the Ringling couple lived. It was styled after the Venetian Gothic style they adored in Italy. Everything in the 36,000 square foot house is exquisite, ranging from the paintings to the furnishings to the china. The total cost of the house construction cost $1.5 million, and it was completed in 1926. Unfortunately Mable Ringling only lived in the house for three years before she passed. However, John Ringling continued to reside in the house until his passing in 1936.

After his passing, legalities muddled the continued care of Ca’ d’Zan. It took over 10 years for everything to be settled. Finally, the house belonged to the state of Florida, as the Ringling family intended after their passing. However, Ca’ d’Zan was then in deplorable shape. It was even featured in the movie “Great Expectations” in 1996 as a run-down mansion. Thankfully the state of Florida then decided to invest $15 million in its restoration. They restored Ca’ d’Zan to its original glory based on previous layouts and photographs.

The Bayfront Gardens includes the Ringling Arboretum, Rose Garden, Secret Garden, Dwarf Garden, Bayfront Promenade and Millennium Tree Trail, and the Courtyard. The Ringling family created such an extensive garden on their estate for more than just appearances. They desired to educate all who visited the gardens on their vast array of plants, flowers, and trees. People armed with the knowledge of the earth can do better to protect and care for it.

For reference, there are over 2,300 trees in the Ringling Arboretum and over 400 rose plants in the Rose Garden.

Furthermore, if you are interested in learning more information about the Gardens, walking tours are available from the beginning of November through the end of March. The guide will provide information on the gardens as well as the history of the entire Ringling estate. Tickets cost $15 for non-members and $10 for members.

For other beautiful nearby gardens, check out this guide to Tampa Bay Area Gardens . On the other hand, maybe you want to head to the beach? Then definitely check out Siesta Key , as it is one of the most beautiful beaches in the area.

Visiting the Ringling Museum and Ca’ d’Zan Mansion

ringling house tour

Spend a day exploring the extensive Ringling Museum , a 66-acre museum complex in Sarasota, FL. You’ll find incredible examples of art, historic memorabillia and architecture at the Museum of Art, Circus Museum, Ca’ d’Zan mansion, Bayfront Gardens and more.

ringling house tour

John Ringling was one of five brothers who founded and operated the famed Ringling Bros. Circus beginning in the late 1800s. His work on “The Greatest Show on Earth” earned him a small fortune and he became one of the richest men in America at the time. John and his beloved wife Mable purchased 20 acres of waterfront property in Sarasota, and in 1924 began construction on a Venetian Gothic style mansion.

Ca’ d’Zan

Known as the Ca’ d’Zan or “House of John”, the 36,000 square foot mansion was completed in 1926. The staggering $1.5 million estate served as the winter home of John and Mable Ringling. The 41-room bayside home is filled with impressive architectural details and luxurious furnishings. Mable Ringling oversaw every detail of the design and construction of the home, and it was truly her own work of art.

Self-guided and guided tours of the mansion are available for an additional fee. Check the website for additional pricing and information . Due to the delicate nature of the home and artifacts inside, all visitors must purchase a tour ticket prior to entering the home and photography is not allowed inside.

We definitely recommend going inside on a tour of Ca’ d’Zan. You’ll get to experience amazing architecture and furnishings.

Museum of Art

The Ringling is the State Art Museum of Florida and home to one of the preeminent art and cultural collections in the United States. After the completion of Ca’ d’Zan, John Ringling built a 21-gallery Renaissance-style museum to house his extensive personal collection of paintings and art.

Ringling filled the Museum with European paintings, paneled rooms from the Gilded Age Astor mansion in New York, and ancient and medieval objects purchased from distinguished collections. Upon his death in 1936, Ringling bequeathed the Museum to the people of Florida.

The Art Museum is gigantic. An art lover could happily spend a day in this portion of the grounds alone. The galleries feature everything from antiquities to old masters, modern artists, bronze casts of iconic sculptures (includine Michaelangelo’s David), and the more recent addition of the Asian Art wing.

Guided tours of the art museum are included with standard admission.

Circus Museum

While the Ringlings did not create this portion of the grounds, it pays homage to the legacy they created with the circus. The museum features memorabilia from the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus like colorful costumes, props and posters.

The Tibbals Learning Center houses additional posters and memorabilia, plus interactive exhibits like a tightrope walk and clown car. But its most impressive feature is the 3,800 square foot Howard Bros. Circus Model, a 44,000-piece re-creation of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. This amazing exhibit is a must-see.

Bayfront Gardens

The extensive Ringling grounds showcase amazing banyan trees, tropical plants and palms, and Mable’s Rose Garden. You can also view the Ringlings’ final resting place in the Secret Garden near the mansion.

How to Spend a Day at the Ringling Museum

By Bethany Ritz September 12, 2022

While I’ve seen some folks approach museums with a carpe diem vigor, determined to learn and take in everything in front of them, this sounds exhausting to me, particularly when it comes to a massive institution like the 66-acre Ringling museum complex.

I didn’t grow up going to museums and only started visiting them after high school. Early on, someone told me to treat a museum like a park: Don’t try to read too much or learn too intensely. Simply wander and go where your eye happens to land. It’s a worthy approach for an expansive space like The Ringling, which is a whole experience, not just the sum of single pieces of art.

You can spend a day, even two, exploring the galleries and gardens as an initial tour. When I first moved here, I got a membership so I could walk around at lunchtime on weekdays, when it was mostly empty, to clear my head. With four main components—the art museum, the circus museum, the Ca’ d’Zan mansion and the Bayfront Gardens—there is so much to explore. Not to mention the Glass Pavilion just inside the gate.

If you’re going to pick a single day to visit Ringling Museum, here are some things to consider: Mondays are free days for the art museum and gardens, so if you have a large group, it’s an affordable way to visit. This also means it’s the busiest day of the week. The campus is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours on Thursdays. The museum stays open late that day so visitors can visit James Turrell’s Skyspace exhibit, Joseph’s Coat , as the sun sets. It is absolutely something to experience.

So make a full day of it. Head to Mable's Coffee and Tea café (named for John Ringling's wife) when the museum opens for coffee and snacks, then explore the grounds. Either bring a picnic lunch and camp out at one of the tables or eat lunch in the museum’s restaurant, The Ringling Grillroom. You can also try it for dinner before heading over to the Skyspace. It's open and serving food from 11 a.m. to as late as 8 p.m.

On our recent visit, we sat down for lunch, which is something I always do at museums to reset and renourish before exploring more. We enjoyed the ahi tuna poke and the burrata and heirloom tomato appetizers. Both were delicious and reflect what chef Lydell Page has brought to the kitchen. Trained at Houston’s Cordon Bleu, he makes his sauces and gravies from scratch daily. The combination of flavors were surprising; in fact, the dishes were so good, I forgot I was in a museum.

I recommend visiting this museum complex often if you live here. Every time I go, I see something new. (This time, I discovered "Banyan Boy," which is the small statue of a boy that has been consumed by one of the massive banyan trees on the property. Only his face and part of his body peak through the root columns.) If you plan on a single visit, however, here are some things you don’t want to miss:

What to See in the Art Museum

Michelangelo’s david.

Location : Art Museum Courtyard

David is not only seen throughout Sarasota silhouetted on city signage. It’s also the most recognizable statue in the world. The one at The Ringling is a more recent bronze cast of the original white marble sculpture by Michelangelo. You think you’ve seen it and you think you know it, but beholding this statue in person is striking. It’s large. And yes, this is David, of David and Goliath. An unexpected size and stature to represent young David.

After Florence rid itself of two successive tyrants, David’s story—the story of the underdog, of good prevailing over evil—became a symbol of the freed republic. Originally commissioned to sit high up on the Cathedral of Florence, Michelangelo’s marble sculpture was too beautiful to be so far from viewers, and it was eventually moved to stand in front of the central government building in Florence, and later moved to the Gallery of the Academy of Florence. While the white marble sculpture served as a political symbol for the republic and a key work of art history for Florentines, in Sarasota, the bronze cast has come to represent our status as a city of arts.

(The annual  Ringling Underground  concert series sees local bands playing beneath the David to a raucous crowd in the garden.)

Mater Dolorosa , or Blue Madonna

Location : Art Museum, Gallery Nine

I had no idea what this was, but as soon as we entered gallery nine, I immediately walked over to see it more closely. As it turns out, this painting is one of the most visited in the permanent collection. You can even buy a small print of it in the gift shop.

Mater Dolorosa , or Blue Madonna , was painted in the 1670s by Onorio Marinari. It’s painted in a “Renaissance style,” in which the figure appears to be luminated from within. The blue of her shroud is as vibrant as “Carl Abbott blue,” the signature color of the celebrated local architect and artist.

What to See in the Circus Museum

Howard bros. circus model.

Location : Tibbals Learning Center

This is fun for everyone. Even your most snobbish visitors to Sarasota will not be able help but enjoy seeing this massive miniature replica of a traveling circus. I see something new every time I walk through the display, and the lights even change, so you can see how nighttime looks within the tiny circus. I never knew the circus was this much of a spectacle.

The Tibbals Learning Center is named for the creator of the model, Howard Tibbals .

The Wisconsin

Location : Historic Galleries, Room 105, Wagon Room

Trains were the transport of choice for the circus when rail lines took prominence over wagon-led troupes. The Wisconsin was the private railroad car for John Ringling and his wife Mable. John and Mable rode the Wisconsin to Sarasota to visit their new bayfront property where their house, the Ca' d’Zan, now stands. This rail car takes visitors back in time and is as delightful as it is uncanny to see the luxury the Ringlings' enjoyed. The only other train car like it holds Bob’s Train restaurant. (Head there for lunch one day and ask Bob for more circus history.)

The Ringling is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday. The museum offers special rates for veterans, students and teachers. For more, visit ringling.org

A brilliant orange sunset over a calm ocean. In the foreground, people stand on the shore looking at the spectacle.

Often overlooked in favor of Tampa to the north and Miami to the south, Sarasota, on Florida’s Gulf Coast, is a laid-back city that seems content to keep its white-sand beaches out of the spotlight. The city of 55,000 has long been home to the Ringling museum complex , set on a picturesque bay, where visitors can find artworks by Peter Paul Rubens, Titian and El Greco, and a circus museum. There’s plenty for nature lovers, too: Spot alligators, manatees and dolphins; meander beneath stately banyan trees; and take a kayak for a spin through the wild mangroves. These days, the city is abuzz with developments, including an expansion of the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and the opening of a 1920s house-museum in Newtown, the city’s historic Black district.

Recommendations

  • Siesta Beach , the pride and joy of locals, offers miles of soft sand that’s great to lounge or stroll on, as well as expansive views of the Gulf.
  • The Ringling is a complex of museums and gardens where visitors can discover such delights as a 3,800-square-foot model of an early 20th-century circus.
  • Meliora captures the high-low spirit of Sarasota with unfussy decor and sophisticated seafood dishes.
  • Kayak tours from Kayaking SRQ and Liquid Blue Outfitters take visitors through mangroves and Sarasota Bay, providing the chance to spot dolphins, manatees, starfish, crabs and more.
  • At Myakka River State Park , a kayak rental will get you up close and personal with alligators.
  • Newtown Alive offers trolley tours that trace the struggles and successes of residents of Sarasota’s historic Black neighborhood.
  • Leonard Reid House is a new museum in Newtown that was once the home of one of the city’s first Black settlers.
  • Marie Selby Botanical Gardens has a new gallery with living specimens from the Gardens’ collection of 35,000 preserved plants, a conservatory with displays of flowering orchids and walkways shaded by banyans, ficus and mangroves.
  • Lakewood Ranch Farmers’ Market offers live music, food stands and various events for kids, like arts and crafts or storytelling.
  • Shack , a popular fitness studio, runs jam-packed yoga and pilates classes.
  • Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar is a seafood lover’s paradise, with peel-and-eat shrimp, lobster tails, calamari, oysters and, for those inclined, fried gator.
  • Project Coffee , a vegan cafe with several locations in Sarasota, has a menu that adds a little fun to brunch classics, like a frozen açaĂ bowl with cornflakes and black-sesame crumble.
  • Sage , a restaurant inside a historic 1926 building that once housed the Sarasota Times newspaper, has a swanky rooftop bar with live music on Fridays.
  • Siesta Key Oyster Bar has festive cocktails and live music nightly.
  • Gilligan’s Island Bar has a loungey backyard with swings; pop, disco and reggaeton tunes set a dancey vibe.
  • The Resort at Longboat Key , renovated in 2020, sits on 410 acres of land on a barrier island off Sarasota. Besides a private beach, the hotel has its own golf course, tennis gardens and a spa. Rooms start at $999 a night.
  • Kompose Hotel , near the airport, allows guests to book a room at a base price and pay for customizations, like use of the pool and jacuzzi ($5 per day), or the Peloton bike ($10 per hour); a sauna session ($35 per person); or accommodating a dog ($75 per stay). Rooms start at $250.
  • Timberline Glamping Co. offers luxury tents in Oscar Scherer State Park equipped with linens, rugs, lamps, electric outlets, heating or air-conditioning, mini fridges and Keurig coffee makers. The site provides hammocks, a charcoal grill, a wood fire pit and a picnic table. There’s a shared bathhouse with toilets and showers. Tents from $169.
  • For short-term rentals , look in the Alta Vista or Laurel Park neighborhoods for proximity to Sarasota’s downtown at reasonable prices. Rentals on Siesta Key, a barrier island connected to Sarasota by two bridges, are more expensive, but offer easy beach access, free trolley service and small town charm.
  • The best way to get around Sarasota is by car , whether it's a rental or via ride-hailing apps like Uber and Lyft. An on-demand ridesharing service called Breeze OnDemand runs in downtown Sarasota, on Siesta Key, on Longboat Key and on Lido Key, and costs $2 per person; book through the app . Free trolleys run along Siesta Key and Lido Key, and between Lido Key and downtown Sarasota. Track the Lido Key trolleys with the Bay Runner app . The Siesta Key Breeze trolley runs approximately every half hour.

Moscow: City Sightseeing by Car/Bus

Visiting a new city is akin to going on a first date, it is something you will never forget. Many people imagine Moscow as just a bunch of sporadic landmarks: Red Square, the Kremlin, Lenin’s Mausoleum and GUM. There is so much more to this wonderful city than that and even though we only have a few hours, we will do all we can to show you everything we know and love about our capital in one fell swoop. We will take you on a journey through the ages, from centuries ago, right up to the modern day, soaking in the sights of this vast and bustling metropolis. Bright, luxurious and both ancient and modern at the same time, Moscow invites you on a date you’ll never forget!

On our sightseeing bus tour of the city, you will see:

  • The wonderfully historic city centre and its unique museums, magnificent cathedrals, the exquisite Chambers of the Romanov Boyars and of course, the famous towering red brick walls of the Kremlin, The charming beauty of the Alexander Garden awaits the capital's guests - a lush green oasis in the midst of the glass and concrete clad metropolis, basking in the etherial aura emanating from the whitewashed stone walls of the restored Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the world- renowned fairytale onion domes of St. Basil's Cathedral and other impressive monumental buildings such as the library built in Lenin's honour - the Russian State Library - and the State Duma.
  • The Lubyanka KGB headquarters is notorious to members of older generations and although nowadays, the face of the secret police has changed dramatically, the looming enigmatic building on the waterfront maintains its aura of mystery, shrouded in a variety of murky rumours and dark myths. Then, there’s another of Moscow's main attractions - the marvellous Bolshoi Theatre, yew simply cant leave Moscow without taking in its breathtaking architecture. Engrained in the fabric of Russia's cultural heritage, virtuoso performers such as prima ballerina Galina Ulanova, opera singer Feodor Chaliapin and pianist, composer and conductor Sergei Rachmaninoff once stood centre stage of this vaunted institution.
  • The memorial complex on Poklonnaya Hill was constructed in the glory and honour of our heroes who defended our nation in the many crucial battles of the Great Patriotic War (WWII). This is a place that embodies a particularly acute and inextricable link between older ancf younger generations. Moving on to the Moscow International Business Centre, not dubbed ‘Moscow City' for nothing, a true glimpse of the future in the present. This incredible, rather jaw-dropping project in the capital has shown that Moscow has come to accept the age of the skyscraper. Finally, the stunning views from the observation deck at Sparrow Hills will leave professional and amateur photographers alike itching to capture them. How could one resist?

The most beautiful of all the world's cities - lady Moscow invites you out on a date!
