2023 UK and European shows ANNOUNCED

UPDATE: Due to incredible interest in the 2023 UK/European shows, extra dates have been added for Barcelona, Naples, Milan and Amsterdam ahead of the general sale, which begins at 10am local time tomorrow (Thursday). See below for details.

The morning after completing their run of six sold out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, the band have announced further European and UK stadium shows for their Music Of The Spheres World Tour in summer 2023.

The dates include the tour’s first visits to Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands, alongside UK shows in Manchester and Cardiff.

Tickets for the new European and UK shows will go on sale at 10am local time on Thursday, 25 August. Full details can be found on our Tour page .

Coldplay have announced 2023 dates on their world tour in support of Music of the Spheres . Next year, the band will perform in Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Find Coldplay’s schedule and a trailer for the tour below.

Coldplay famously declined to tour in support of Everyday Life for environmental reasons. The band has set out to make the Music of the Spheres World Tour more sustainable, with a press releasing touting concerts powered entirely by renewable energy. For example, there have been solar panels and wind turbines at every venue to help power the shows.

On the eve of the release of their new album, 'Music of the Spheres', Coldplay announced they're taking their 2021 album on the road with their 'Music of the Spheres' world tour – and they've already sold out a string of dates across the UK so far in 2022.

After dropping singles including ' My Universe ' and 'Higher Power' earlier this year, Coldplay have announced they're heading on tour so fans can finally hear their favourite band live on stage once again, and they've announced further European and UK stadium shows for their Music Of The Spheres World Tour in summer 2023.

Chris Martin and co have added fresh tour dates to next year. Find out where they're going, when tickets go on sale and how to buy them.

Coldplay have announced fresh dates for 2023, which will see them at the likes of Manchester's Etihad Stadium a nd Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

After a run of spectacular shows in 2022, including several dates at London's Wembley Stadium, the band have also announced new European gigs which will see them play the likes of Barcelona, Milan and Zurich.

After completing their triumphant run of six sold out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, Coldplay have added new dates to their incredible Music Of The Spheres World Tour!

The band, Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion, will perform three more shows in Manchester and Cardiff next summer.

As well as signing songs from their latest album, The Music Of The Spheres, they'll also be treating fans to some classics like Fix You and Yellow.

Since the band’s record-breaking tour began in Costa Rica in March 2022, more than four million tickets have been sold for the dates in Latin America, North America and Europe.

The tour has also been praised for its sustainability initiatives which include a show powered by 100% renewable energy in almost all locations and the world’s first tourable battery system.

Power bikes and kinetic dancefloors also allow fans to help power the shows, while there are solar panels and wind turbines at every venue.

The band has made a pledge to cut tour emissions by 50% and there are incentives in place to encourage fans to travel by green transport, with one tree planted for every ticket sold.

The new tour dates were teased via Easter eggs in the band’s new video for Humankind which premiered last week.

Music Of The Spheres World Tour - Delivered by DHL

Their worldwide stadium tour 2023 was, of course, an overwhelming success. In Europe alone, Coldplay thrilled audiences at 37 sold-out and acclaimed open-air concerts, plus dozens more performances in Asia and America. In 2024, the band around frontman Chris Martin will continue their "Music Of The Spheres World Tour" - Delivered by DHL - and will then also come to the Olympic Stadium three times on 15., 17. and 18. August.

The quartet, founded in London at the end of the nineties, is one of the most successful bands of the 21st century worldwide. In Germany alone, five of their albums have reached the top of the charts, and their best-known hits include "Speed of Sound", "Viva la Vida" and "Paradise". Coldplay have performed at the Olympic Park four times so far. In addition to a concert in the Olympic Hall in September 2008, the British pop rockers also played twice in the Olympic Stadium (September 2012 and June 2017), plus an unforgettable open air in front of 10,000 enthusiastic fans at Coubertin Square at their park premiere in July 2005.

For their "Music of the Spheres World Tour", which began in Costa Rica in March 2022, Coldplay have so far received overwhelming reviews. The Times of London wrote of the "Greatest Live Music Show Ever". And "The Sun" recognised "a truly mesmerising spectacle". Not surprisingly, the band secured the award for Favourite Touring Artist at the American Music Awards 2022.

In Munich, Coldplay is now setting a record with three concerts on 15, 17 and 18 August 2024. No international act has ever played more consecutive open-air concerts under a tent roof.

The Grammy-Award winning band just added more dates on their South American tour and a few West Coast dates for their upcoming North American concerts in the latter part of September 2023.

Coldplay 'Music of the Spheres' 2023 Concert Tickets

NME  reports that tickets for the Coldplay 'Music of the Spheres' 202 concerts will be on sale on Jan. 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Meanwhile, a first come, first served presale for the rescheduled Coldplay Los Angeles concerts will take place on Jan. 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The said rescheduled concert will be held on Sep. 30, 2023, at the Rose Bowl with H.E.R. and 070 Shake.

Meanwhile, the album "Music Of The Spheres," has been nominated at the 2023 Grammy Awards. The project is poised in the running for the Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album categories. Coldplay have been making the rounds on their ongoing “Music of the Spheres World Tour” since spring 2022 with over four million tickets sold, but they’re just getting started with a new slate of tour dates coming in 2023.

What Is Coldplay’s Next Tour?

The band’s ongoing world tour has taken them nearly around the entire globe already, but they still have legs in South America and Europe ahead while also hinting at future dates in North America and southeast Asia as well.

Coldplay’s next run kicks off at Brazil’s Rock in Rio on September 10th, followed by two double-headers in Lima, Peru and Bogota, Colombia. They then stop for a four nights in Santiago, Chile and two headlining shows back in Rio. On October 15th, the band begins a six-night stint in Sao Paulo, Brazil followed by a whopping ten shows in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The final performance also wraps their South American circuit on November 8th.

The tour resumes in 2023 in Coimbra, Portugal on May 17th. They’ll play two nights in Barcelona, two nights in Manchester, and their final scheduled UK date in Cardiff on June 6th. They will also stop for back-to-back performances in Milan, Italy; Copenhagen, Denmark; Gothenburg, Sweden; and the two-show closer in Amsterdam between July 15th-16th.

Who Is Opening for Coldplay on Tour?

There’s been no shortage of star power on the “Music of the Spheres World Tour.” Surprise guest appearances so far have included Bruce Springsteen , Kylie Minogue, Kelly Rowland, Lupe Fiasco, Craig David, Natalie Imbruglia, Stormzy, and in one night at Wembley , Steve Coogan as Alan Partridge, Jacob Collier, Nicole Lawrence, and Simon Pegg.

Beyond the stream of shock stage entrances, fans are guaranteed to see either Camila Cabello and H.E.R. in the supporting slot on select dates this fall. There’s been no confirmation on openers for the 2023 legs, but it seems the band has a whole “Sky Full of Stars” to pick from.

COLDPLAY ANNOUNCE 2023 EUROPEAN & UK DATES FOR MUSIC OF THE SPHERES WORLD TOUR

The morning after completing their triumphant run of six sold out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, Coldplay have announced further European and UK stadium shows for their Music Of The Spheres World Tour in summer 2023. The dates include the tour’s first visits to Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands, alongside UK shows in Manchester and Cardiff.

Since the band’s record-breaking tour began in Costa Rica in March 2022, more than four million tickets have been sold for the dates in Latin America, North America and Europe, which have attracted rave reviews from fans and critics alike (as per the recent praise for the Wembley shows above).

The tour has also been heralded for its  groundbreaking set of sustainability initiatives  which include a show powered by 100% renewable energy in almost all locations; the world’s first tourable battery system (made from 40 BMW electric car batteries); power bikes and kinetic dancefloors allowing fans to help power the show; solar panels and wind turbines at every venue; a pledge to cut tour emissions by 50%; incentives to encourage fans to travel by green transport; and one tree planted for every ticket sold. The new tour dates were teased via Easter eggs  in the band’s new  video for Humankind  (taken from their number one album, Music Of The Spheres) which premiered last week. To the excitement of the band’s eagle-eyed global following, the video also hinted at further shows being announced for  south-east Asia  and  North America .

I had always heard Coldplay were a fantastic band to see live. They did not disappoint last night at Fedex Field, right in the midst of their joyous and decidedly over-the-top Head Full of Dreams tour.

The show began with an explosion of color and light (including the LED wristbands supplied to every concertgoer) in the titular track on the band's touring album. Then came fan-favorite "Yellow," followed by "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall," the ever-popular "The Scientist," and "Birds" (the latter was a bit of a personal disappointment as it replaced the brilliant "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face" from recent setlists). This part of the show finished with the anthem "Paradise," featuring an incredible remix outro.

Next the show slowed down for an intimate trio of songs (most of us actually took a seat). This included one of the better tracks from the sub-par "Ghost Stories", "Magic."

Soon, however, things picked up with the timeless piano strokes of "Clocks," themed to a magical red light show. Next came the lighthearted "Charlie Brown." Before it began, lead singer Chris Martin asked everyone to put away their phones and simply enjoy the show. This was followed by the radio hit "Hymn for the Weekend," a candlelit (okay...Iphone flashlight lit) "Fix You," and "Viva la Vida." This last one was remarkable, as nearly the entire stadium knew the lyrics and sang along to the triumphant "Oh-oh-ohhhh" chant. The groovy "Adventure of a Lifetime" finished off this section, featuring Chris gettin' down with the audience, asking everyone to "Get low!"

Then came the highlight of the night for me: an acoustic quad of older (*cough* better *cough*) Coldplay songs which were as intimate as they were nostalgic. The lovely riffs of "In my Place" started off the set. "Don't Panic" was sung by drummer Will Champion; it's one of my favorites. But it couldn't top what was (for me) the best song of the night: "Trouble." Somber but beautiful in its own way, "Trouble" is a rare find in the setlists of today's Coldplay and was absolutely fantastic. Finally came another rare gem: "Green Eyes," which was somewhat marred by Chris's well-intentioned attempt at giving the local Redskins some luck (HA! what folly) by changing the lyrics.

The finale of the show was the hopeful and popular trio of "Something Just like This," "A Sky Full of Stars," and "Up and Up." This last track was played against the backdrop of the magical and visually stunning music video for the song.

And if there were two adjectives to sum up the show as a whole, they would be just that: magical and visually stunning. Thanks for an awesome show, Coldplay!

First of all I need to just say wow! Wow! Yesterday I experienced one of the greatest nights of my life. Yesterday I really did feel like I was part of something special, something so big and beautiful. The love, the happiness and the excaitment people were feeling last night were something you can't put words on. We stood in the rain for so many hours, we sat in a que and then we stood in the rain again.. but let me just say that when Coldplay came on stage they put on the best god damn show ever. You could really feel their thankfulness during the show. They promised us (in Chris Martins own words) "The best fucking show ever" and let me tell you it was! During the night I got to experience people from different countries dancing and singing along together, I got to experience that moment when Chris decided to write a new song about Sweden and Gothenburg! The night was amazing in so many ways. And just as he said during the night, that he believes when people are working together and last night everybody in that arena stood together. We celebrated the music, the evening and most of all we celebrated the love. Because in the end of the day Love is what matters and it will always win.

Yesterday was beautiful, just pure beautiful!

A Coldplay concert is a real face to face experience for a someone who love their songs. It may not be an intimate experience but considering the legions of fans that they have only a concert can accommodate everyone who are waiting all their lives for a chance to hear them live. and they never disappoint. A total performance complete with lasers and light and firework BUT without much fanfare, just them singing & playing their hearts OUT song after song alone or in harmony with the fans some crying, most gleefully dancing to their upbeat song or swaying OR slow dancing to slow Fix You or Yellow and probably thinking of someone they "cannot replace". Chris Martin is an awesome guy and so are the rest of the band. May their personal lives be as awesome as their professional lives, they deserve that too. as to Singapore, it may not be as engaging as it would be in the Philippines but hey, no one can complain; i had the best time celebrating my birthday in one of the best stadium this side of town with around 50K Coldpay fans celebrating with me :) :). Long live Coldplay, may you continue to bring joy to you fans worldwide. Looking forward to another Coldplay concert experience in the future.

Coldplay announce new UK and European shows for 2023

The lengthy ‘music of the spheres’ world tour continues next may.

Coldplay have announced three new UK shows for 2023 as part of their extensive ‘Music Of The Spheres’ world tour. Last night (August 21) saw the band wrap up a six-night run of London concerts at Wembley Stadium ahead of two scheduled dates in Glasgow this week (August 23, 24). A series of South American gigs will take place between September 10 and November 8. Today (August 22), it’s been confirmed that Coldplay will head back out on the road for further UK and European shows between May and July, 2023. This additional leg is due to begin in Coimbra, Portugal on May 17. Following a two-night billing in Barcelona, Spain (May 24, 25), Chris Martin and co. will return to these shores to play a pair of concerts at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester (May 31, June 1). They’ll then take to the stage at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on June 6. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time this Thursday (August 25) –  you’ll be able to purchase yours from here .

This past weekend, Coldplay teamed up with Alan Partridge at their penultimate London concert to cover ABBA ‘s ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ and Kate Bush ‘s ‘Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)’ . Steve Coogan’s much-loved character donned a jacket emblazoned with  Snow Patrol ‘s band logo. “If you’re running up a hill, make sure you wear the correct footwear. Goodnight!” Partridge said to the Wembley crowd. Other guests to have joined Coldplay on-stage in the capital recently include Craig David ,  Natalie Imbruglia  and All Saints’  Shaznay Lewis . In a four-star review of Coldplay’s latest album, last year’s  Music of the Spheres ,  Rolling Stone UK described the project as “spellbinding” . “It’s the sound of a supremely confident band, so aware their music now matches the euphoria of, say, a stadium triumph that ‘Infinity Sign’ slyly reworks rudimentary football chant “Olé Olé Olé” into something quite beautiful. It shouldn’t work but it does: epitomising Coldplay’s breathless ascent ever higher. It’s just a thrill to be along for the ride.”

Coldplay’s Glastonbury 2024 headline slot will come ahead of their final album next year

Chris Martin has previously stated that the band will stop writing new music in 2025

With Coldplay announced to headline Glastonbury 2024 , fans are uncertain as to the band’s future after Chris Martin previously revealed that the band would stop making music in 2025.

The pop icons were announced as headliners for this year’s instalment of Glastonbury earlier this morning (March 14), alongside SZA, Dua Lipa and Shania Twain . However, following previous comments by the frontman, fans are questioning what the slot may mean for the band’s future.

It comes as, back in 2021, Martin revealed that Coldplay were coming to the end of their time writing new material, and had plans to stop writing music as a band by 2025 .

“Well I know I can tell you: our last proper record will come out in 2025 and after that I think we will only tour,” Martin said during an interview with Jo Wiley. “Maybe we’ll do some collaborative things but the Coldplay catalogue, as it were, finishes then.”

The singer-songwriter shared a similar sentiment with NME too, when he said that he discussed how “intense” it can be to keep releasing new material.

“We’re going to make 12 albums. Because it’s a lot to pour everything into making them. I love it and it’s amazing, but it’s very intense too,” he said. “I feel like because I know that challenge is finite, making this music doesn’t feel difficult, it feels like, ‘This is what we’re supposed to be doing’.”

He added: “I don’t think that’s what we’ll do. I know that’s what we’ll do in terms of studio albums.”

Coldplay’s set at Worthy Farm this June will see the band become the first act to top the Glastonbury bill five times, following headline performances in 2002, 2005, 2011 and 2016.

At their last headline slot, the band made headlines by bringing out The Bee Gees’ Barry Gibb to collaborate on ‘To Love Somebody’ and ‘Staying Alive’ , as well as the festival’s founder Michael Eavis, who joined them to perform the Frank Sinatra classic ‘My Way’ .

Since then, Chris Martin made two surprise appearances at the 2019 festival, joining Stormzy as a guest for ‘Blinded By Your Grace Pt. 1’ , and Kylie Minogue for ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ during her legend’s slot. In 2021 the group did a set as part of Glastonbury’s ‘Live At Worthy Farm’ livestream after the festival was cancelled due to COVID.

As well as fan favourites including ‘Clocks’, ‘Yellow’, ‘The Scientist’ and ‘Paradise’, the band are also expected to play tracks from their latest album, ‘Music Of The Spheres’ , which arrived in 2021 and was described by NME as “a celestial beauty that’s capable of inspiring great awe and emotion.”

As for new material, in January last year, the band revealed that their new album ‘Moon Music’ was almost finished . At time of writing, it is not clear whether or not the LP will mark their last, and it is unlikely that it will be shared ahead of their slot at the iconic festival.

Little has been said about the album since it was first teased back at the start of 2023, although in November, the band did call on their fans to add their voice to one of their new songs called ‘One World’ .

SZA, Tyler, the Creator, Blink-182 Headline Lollapalooza 2024

Variety ‘s Hitmaker of 2023 SZA , Tyler, the Creator, Blink-182, the Killers, Future and Metro Boomin, Hozier, Stray Kids, Melanie Martinez and Skrillex are set to headline a Lollapalooza 2024, which will also feature performances from Deftones, Tate McRae, Conan Gray, Reneé Rapp, Victoria Monét, and many more, the festival announced on Tuesday. The annual festival takes place August 1-4 with over 170 bands, eight stages and four days of music and programming at its traditional location in Chicago's Grant Park.

Along with the top-billed acts, the festival awill also present such rising artists as Benson Boone, Raye, the Last Dinner Party, D4vd, Tyla, Sexyy Red, Faye Webster, Qveen Herby, Flo, Olivia Dean, Laufey with the Chicago Philharmonic and more.
