Katy Perry announces UK and European tour dates

Katy Perry has announced the details of the UK and European legs of her ‘Witness’ tour.

The 32-year-old pop star is poised to release her much-anticipated fifth studio album on June 9 and Katy has revealed, via her Instagram and Twitter pages, that she is to extend ‘Witness: The Tour’ to include gigs in a host of European countries, starting in Cologne, Germany, on May 23.

Subsequently, the ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ hitmaker will perform in Belgium, Holland, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Denmark, Sweden and Scotland, before she closes her tour on June 25 with a show at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena.

Alongside a promotional video for her tour, Katy wrote on Twitter: “HELLO, HALLO, CIAO, BONJOUR! I can’t wait to [see] you, UK/Europe! Tickets on sale Friday 9 June (sic)”

In total, Katy will play six gigs in England across six different cities, between June 14, when she will perform at London’s O2 Arena, and the end of her tour.

Before then, Katy is to perform at Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester concert on Sunday (06.04.17), which is being staged in aid of the victims of the recent terrorist attack at Manchester Arena.

The star-studded event at Emirates Old Trafford will also feature performances from the likes of Take That, Niall Horan, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, with Ariana poised to take a central role on her return to the city.

I saw Katy in concert for the Witness world tour for my birthday. It would be a lie to say I wasn’t completely blow away. I’ve been a fan since 2014 but fell out of interest for a little while. After seeing Witness in concert though I was immediately hooked on again.

Katy keeps your attention and makes your experience about more than music. She makes even people who aren’t fans have a great time and enjoy themselves. My cousin went with me and doesn’t even like Katy yet she was dancing and singing along.

It was a rewarding experience and definitely worth your money! From the lights, to the music, to the stage, to the effects, to dancers, to just Katy herself everything was on point.

Over all I can’t wait to seeing her again!

Two words: SO AWESOME. The lights, the outfits, the love. She came on stage with a sparkly red outfit and came out of an eyeball. She sang some songs in the outfit like Chained to the rhythm and Dark Horse. Then she sang a lot of throwback songs all at once, she sang hot n cold (with a bra that changed from hot to cold) , California Gurls, Last Friday night, E.T, teenage dream, and I kissed a girl. Then she got a huge almost desert setup, I even think there was a stripper pole for Bom appetit. Then she was flying on a planet while in a sparkly white outfit. She sang wide awake, power, thinking of you, and she invited a fan onstage. It was cute. Then she got in a blue outfit and sang Swish Swish, hey hey hey, and roar. Then she went off stage. Then came back for the encore, which was a slower version of Firework. Definitely recommend seeing her live.

The concert was a disappointment.

Having purposely flown over to singapore to see her, leaving my toddler and baby behind with my parents in the hotel, we were expecting an entertaining performance based on reviews on her tour. However, It has proven otherwise.

Felt that her effort wasn't there and that there's not much stage presence. Keeps disappearing behind stage for her attire etc.. We don't get to see her enough on stage. She didn't really captivate the crowd and seems like she's only doing the concert for the sake of doing it only. The singing was pre-recorded at some parts - dancing was not energetic.

The part where a fan was invited to stage was pretty interesting. That made everyone smiled. Wish she could have done more like that - connect with the crowd with her singing. Thought the prismatic effect was very cool. Aside from that, this is by far the most boring concert we've been to :(

International sensation Katy Perry is giving music fans 14 more chances to see her in Las Vegas with the announcement of new 2023 show dates to her highly acclaimed Las Vegas residency “Katy Perry: PLAY,” at Resorts World Theatre. Tickets for the new shows scheduled Feb. 15 – 25 and March 3 – April 15 will go on sale to the public beginning Friday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. PT.

The new 2023 show dates kick-off the second year of the larger-than-life residency which premiered on Dec. 29, 2021, in the newest theatre on the Las Vegas Strip. Katy Perry’s Playful Remix Helps Just Eat Take Its Food Delivery Global

It’s not easy to fill Snoop Dogg ’s shoes. But after European food delivery service Just Eat enlisted the rapper to remix its jingle in 2020, the brand has turned next to the musical prowess of Katy Perry .

The pop star is the face of the first unified global campaign from Just Eat Takeaway.com, the entity that resulted from the 2020 merger of takeout services Just Eat in the U.K. and the Netherlands’ Takeaway.com.

With this new campaign following the merger the brand has extended its “Did Somebody Say” platform into 19 markets and 20 languages worldwide, entering Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Israel, Belgium, Luxembourg, Bulgaria and Austria for the first time.

In the ad, created by agency McCann London, Katy Perry delivers her version of the “Did Somebody Say Just Eat?” jingle.

After a Just Eat delivery courier arrives at Perry’s home—a fantastical, supersized doll’s house—she takes viewers on a tour through her magical world, full of elaborate and colorful costumes, quirky characters such as piano-playing puppets and a vast array of food for every occasion.

In Perry’s signature playful style, the song’s lyrics—including lines such as “Papaya salad while I sing a ballad”—showcase the range of cuisines available to order from Just Eat.

Perry co-created the music and lyrics along with Kris Pooley, McCann London and the team behind the original “Did Somebody Say Feat. Snoop Dogg” track. Music video director Dave Meyers, who has previously created videos for Perry’s hits “Swish Swish” and “Firework,” shot the ad through production company Radical Media.

Taking a bigger stage

After two years running the Snoop Dogg ad, “we couldn’t have predicted the success of [that campaign],” Susan O’Brien, vice-president of global brand at Just Eat Takeaway.com, said in a statement. “It put the brand firmly on the cultural map, anchored the message that Just Eat is the answer to all food cravings and connected us with audiences.”
