Photo Packages on Disney Cruise Line – Frequently Asked Questions

You’re going on a Disney Cruise. Yayyy!

Most folks are going to want to document some of that fun with photos. You can, of course, use your own phone or camera to take pictures, but like the Disney theme parks, there are professional photo packages available. Here’s what you need to know.

disney cruise photopass login

Do I have to have my photo taken while on a Disney Cruise?

Currently, no onboard DCL photo is mandatory. If you hate being photographed, or are 100% certain that you will never buy a photo, then feel free to wave off the photographers and go about your business.

That being said, there may be some situations where it’s simply easier to smile and say cheese rather than go into a lengthy explanation about why you think your hair looks frightening when exposed to salt water. If you don’t opt to buy the pictures, they’ll simply be deleted at the end of your sailing and no one will see them

Why would I want someone else to take my photos?

A few reasons why you might want someone else to take some of your vacation photos include:

  • You want everyone in your party to be included in the photos.
  • You know that you’re not a good photographer.
  • You want to have your photos printed with special Disney borders.

How much do DCL photo packages cost?

Just like in the Disney theme parks, you’re welcome to pose for photos for free. But if you want to download any pictures or keep any of the images taken by the onboard professional photographers, you’ll have to pay.

There are a variety of price points, but the most common is the all-inclusive photo package. These packages include the digital files of all the photos you have taken onboard. Depending on the length of your sailing, the size of your party, and how aggressive you are about putting yourself in front of the photographers, this could be anywhere from a dozen to several hundred pictures.

Prices vary based on the itinerary and number of nights of the cruise. In recent months, I’ve encountered prices of $349.95 for a six-night sailing and $229.95 for a three-night sailing.

Note: package prices are per stateroom, or possibly per two staterooms if you’re traveling with minor children (more on this below).

disney cruise photopass login

That seems like a lot, are there ways to make the photo package less expensive?

The prices above are the rates for photo packages purchased onboard the ships.

There is a small price break (often 10-15%) for buying your photo package online in advance of your trip. You can do this in the Cruise Activities activities section of the DCL website after you’ve paid in full for your sailing and your activity booking window has opened. (Activity booking windows are based on your Castaway Club status .) Advance photo booking must be completed at least three days prior to sailing in order to get the price break.

Pearl Castaway Club members (guests who have completed 25 or more sailings) are given a free photo package as part of their benefits, but other than that there are no discounts other than the early purchase rate.

You can, however, make the package more valuable by taking advantage of the photographers as much as possible. My family tends to buy the photo package on every second or third sailing. On sailings where we know we’re buying the package, we make a game of seeing how many photos we can have the onboard photographers take of us.

Will taking lots of photos take too much of my time?

Depending on the itinerary and your interests, it might.

Let’s say you’re on a three night sailing with no sea days and you have lots of things to do in port. In this case, you’ll have limited hours on the ship itself. Do you want these hours to be consumed primarily with finding enough photo opportunities to make your package “worth it”?

At the other end of the spectrum, you might be on a 12-night repositioning cruise with half a dozen sea days and not much of import on your agenda. In that case, you might end up acquiring dozens or even hundreds of photos with barely a blip in your day. Most cruisers are somewhere in the middle.

Is this a once-in-lifetime family reunion during the holidays? Probably buy the package.

Are you couple of frequent DCL cruisers on a quick 3-night jaunt. Maybe don’t buy the package.

The choice is up to you.

I’m traveling with a larger party, can everyone be included in my photo package?

Not exactly.

In most cases, photo packages are allotted one per stateroom. However, cruise staterooms are tiny. It’s common for even small parties to book multiple staterooms to give everyone more personal space. And of course larger parties may be booked across a similarly large number of cabins.

Let’s start with the easiest example, two parents and two or more minor children staying in two staterooms. If you have two staterooms as part of the same booking, and guests under age 21 are in the second stateroom, the photos for both staterooms will show up in one package. This should happen automatically, but in my experience it often takes a trip to the onboard Shutters photo desk to make it happen.

In another example, I recently traveled on the Disney Wish with friends. They were in one stateroom and I (an adult) was in my own stateroom, but our reservations were linked and we ate dinner together and participated in some Port Adventures together. My friends opted to purchase the photo package and I did not. During our sailing, I posed in many photos with them. The pictures of us together (with me in them) were included in their photo package. Photos of just me were not included in their package. Once my friend downloaded her photos, she was welcome to share them with me, but none of these would be my own individual shots because I did not opt to buy them.

The upshot is – a purchased package is exclusive to the stateroom, but other people can be in the image. As long as at least one person from the stateroom with a purchased package is in the photo, then that photo will be included in their purchase.

My own children are now all over age 21. If my husband and I were traveling on DCL with them and we were in one stateroom and they were in another and I bought the photo package, their pictures would not be included in my package unless my husband or I were in the photo. If I wanted to get their pictures as well, I could do this at 50% discount (off the onboard purchase price) by stopping at the Shutters photo desk during my sailing.

disney cruise photopass login

Are there options if I just want a few photos?

DCL offers different sizes of photo packages. Depending on the sailing, you may be able to buy a package of just 10, 15, or 20 pictures, rather than an unlimited package.

You can also buy individual pictures, though the fewer shots you buy, the higher the per-photo cost will be. If you’re waffling between a total photo package and a smaller package, take a minute to look at the pricing for your sailing and figure out the break point number of photos you’d have to take to make the full package “pay out”.

Typically single photo downloads cost about $21, packages of 10 cost about $150, and packages of 20 cost about $250.

How does Disney get the onboard photos into your account?

Two ways. For many photos, you’ll tap your DCL Key to the World Card (room key) or DisneyBand+ on a reader held by the photographer. In other cases, DCL will automatically link pictures to your account via facial recognition. There can be glitches with this leading to either missing or extraneous photos. If you have an issue that needs to be resolved, stop by the Shutters photo desk during your sailing.

disney cruise photopass login

Can I get prints of my photos onboard?

Pre-pandemic, onboard photos were routinely printed for all guests.

Currently you can buy prints of your photos, in a limited number of sizes and quantities. You’ll likely save money by buying the digital files and printing them at home yourself or having them printed via any of the dozens of places that do photo printing: CVS, Walgreens, Costco, Shutterfly, Snapfish, etc.

How are the photos formatted?

Standard aspect ratios of photos in the US are 4″x6″, 5″x7″, or 8″x10″. If you you print photos via any of the services above, those will likely be your options. DCL takes many of its photos in a 6″x8″ ratio, this means that there may be some unintentionally wonky cropping when you have your pictures printed.

Additionally, Disney slaps some sort of border or identifying information on every photo it takes. In some cases this will be a teeny trademark symbol, but most of the time the border is a larger, showing the name of the ship, the location your sailing to, a holiday or special event that’s being celebrated onboard, or the name of a ship’s restaurant.

Can I get my photos without the DCL borders?

Nope. Disney reeeeeeealy wants their logo on your pictures. That said, once you have the digital download in your possession, you’re welcome to crop out their border/logo. Depending on the picture, this may be easier said than done.

disney cruise photopass login

Am I better off ordering a photo book?

DCL does offer a photo book product, typically priced at $149.95 regardless of the length of your cruise. Photo books can include up to 34 pictures. This seems like it would be a good deal, you get to have 30+ images for the typical price of a ten image photo download package. However, I have heard near universal complaints about the photo books – everything from missing pictures to extremely poor image and paper quality. You may just be better off buying the downloads and making your own photo book via one of the photo printing services mentioned above.

If you choose the photo book option, the book will be delivered to your home several weeks after your sailing, adding a level of challenge to any remediation you might need.

disney cruise photopass login

Are there other photo products available for purchase?

Yes, DCL offers mugs, mousepads, plaques, and other items imprinted with your photos. You can order these on the ships or via the DCL photo website. In either case your items will be delivered to your home several weeks after you disembark.

If you’ve purchased a digital download of your photos, you’re also welcome to order similar products from any of the many independent photo printing services, typically at a lower cost.

disney cruise photopass login

Where are the onboard photos taken?

You’ll begin encountering photographers even before you board. Expect to find photographers in the embarkation port terminal. They’ll be stationed in front of DCL logoed backdrops.

On many cruise nights, you’ll find stations for general family photography. These are either staged photos opportunities in a dramatic setting (the lobby atrium stairs) or staged photo opportunities with a Sears-Portrait-Studio-style fabric backdrop. Backdrops range from inoffensive and nondescript solid colors, to in-your-face (literally) photos of the ships.

Photographers will visit also every restaurant on the ship on select nights. This usually includes formal night and pirate night (if there is one), plus additional nights on longer sailings or specially themed sailings. They’ll stop by each table and will take as many shots as you want. Feel free to ask for group and individual pictures.

Photos are taken during meals? Won’t we get lots of gross half eaten food in the shots?

The photographers are quite good at capturing faces without getting a lot of visual noise in the shot. They’ll often tell you to move some glasses to reduce clutter in the frame. If you see a photographer coming, you can help by moving some of your meal detritus out of the way.

Are there character photo opportunities on the ships?

Of course there are! (It’s Disney, what did you expect.) Character meet & greet photo opportunities are listed on daily Navigator app and on video screens around the ship’s lobby.

With some exceptions, the character photo process is essentially the same on the ships as it is in the Disney theme parks. Guests form a queue to meet the character. When it’s your turn, you approach the character, pose, and the photographer takes your picture. The photographer will scan your Key To The World card (your stateroom key) or DisneyBand+ to link your photo to your stateroom account.

If you’re interested in the complete scoop on onboard characters, check out our full FAQ post on this topic.

Are there any places off the ship where I’ll find ship photographers?

Weather permitting, there will be at least a few photographers available when the DCL ships dock at Castaway Cay (and presumably at Lighthouse Point when it opens). On rare occasion, you may find a DCL photographer stationed outside the ship in another port. For example, during a Mediterranean voyage, I encountered DCL photographers on the disembarkation pier when leaving the ship at Villefranche and Civitavecchia.

Are photos taken on my excursions included in my photo package?

Many guests choose to take Port Adventures (excursions) while they’re docked in port. Some of these excursions may include a photography element. For example, if you’re swimming with dolphins, the tour provider will almost certainly have a photography component of the event. Be aware that these photos will NOT be included in your DCL onboard photo package. Unless your Adventure description specifically states that photos are included in the excursion price, the photos will be an extra charge (sometimes a substantial extra charge) over the price you’ve already paid for the excursion.

disney cruise photopass login

How can I look at the photos taken on board?

Every DCL ship has an area of electronic kiosks where you can view your pictures. In addition to the kiosks, there is a Shutters photo desk on every ship. You can tap your Key to the World Card or DisneyBand+ on the kiosk reader and you’ll be able to view the shots taken during your sailing.

During Shutters open hours (which will be posted on the Navigator app and on the Shutters desk), you can ask questions or buy products in person.

disney cruise photopass login

How can I access my photos once I buy a package?

DCL now uses an electronic download system.

If you’ve purchased pictures, go to https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/photos and you’ll be able to access your photos and download them to your phone, tablet, or computer. Log into this site with your Disney web credentials. Click the Link option at the top right of the screen. Enter your Castaway Club ID and click the Link Photos button. Everyone is automatically assigned a unique Castaway Club ID number during their first DCL cruise.

If you don’t have a Disney web account prior to cruising, you’ll need to create an account and link your Castaway Club ID to see your photos. To find your Castaway Club ID, log into http://disneycruise.disney.go.com . Under the Already Booked tab, click My Profile in the My Account section. Then click Membership & Passes.

Photos expire and are no longer available for download or purchase 45 days after they are taken. Note: This is not 45 days after you disembark. Photos taken on the first day of your sailing will expire before photos taken on the last day of your sailing.

I want to have a private photo session. Is this available?

In addition to the standard photo packages, DCL also has an onboard portrait studio. Private portrait sessions photos are not included in the regular packages. Prices are steep – starting at about $600 for a just a handful of images (though there is no fee to sit for the photo session). You can book portrait sessions in the Onboard Activities section of the DCL app after you’ve paid in full for your sailing and your booking window opens. There may also be opportunities to book this experience while you’re on the ship.

Additional information on the DCL website includes:

  • Private sessions last approximately 30 minutes.
  • We recommend that groups larger than 6 Guests book 2 consecutive sessions.
  • Portraits are professionally shot in an artistic black-and-white format (color is not available).
  • There is no sitting fee and no obligation to purchase the images created.
  • While many Guests prefer to schedule their shoots for formal evenings, more casual attire is perfect

I’m sailing DCL with a special event like a wedding. What do I do about photos?

There may be special rates available or required for events. Speak to your DCL event planner for details.

Do DCL photo packages ever “sell out”?

No. The photo package is available to everyone on board. The advantage of booking online in advance is simply the modest price break.

What happens if I bought the photo package in advance, but I don’t like the photos that were taken onboard?

As long as you have not yet downloaded any photos, you can go to the Shutters photo desk on your ship and you can have your purchase cancelled and refunded. Cancellations must happen on the ship.

Use the onboard photo kiosks to see whether you like the photos that have been taken.

disney cruise photopass login

Will the ship photographers take pictures with my camera?

The photographers themselves usually won’t do this. However, during some character greeting photo ops, there will be an assistant available who will be happy to use your camera to take a few shots. In my experience, they often don’t take much care to compose the shot well. They’ll get the job done, but it may not be pretty.

Other DCL guests are often happy to help with photography. If you want a photo of your entire group and there is no ship photographer available or you’ve chosen not to buy ship photos, then it couldn’t hurt to ask a passing guest if they’ll use your phone/camera to take a shot or two. It’s then polite to offer to reciprocate.

This topic gives me an opportunity to annoy you all with one of my favorite DCL stories. The photo below was taken on New Years Eve 2019 onboard the Disney Fantasy. The ship’s photographers (on the lower left) were still setting up and we wanted a photo with the tree in the background. I flagged down a teenage girl walking out of the Royal Court restaurant (teen girls always take the best photos) and asked her if she had a moment to take a photo of our family. As it turned out the girl was a daughter of Bobby Lopez and Kirsten Anderson-Lopez, the composing team behind Frozen and countless other musical theater masterpieces. She was happy to help, but Bobby arrived a moment later and ended up taking my phone and snapping a dozen shots for us. You never know who you’ll meet on a Disney cruise.

disney cruise photopass login

How good are the onboard photos? What’s the quality like?

Quality is in the eye of the beholder. I’ve found that most of the DCL onboard photos are adequate to good, but rarely excellent.

As a compare/contrast, see the two photos below. The one with the Disney Dream logo was taken by a DCL photographer and included with the photo package we purchased. I took the non-logoed photo with my iPhone 13 about two seconds later. Neither of them are particularly good or bad.

disney cruise photopass login

I’m trying to book a photo package online in advance of my sailing, but it’s not available for the first day of my cruise. Does this mean those pictures won’t be part of my package?

This sometimes happens. Don’t worry about it. Just book the photo package online once, on whatever day you happen to see it. The package will include photos taken of everyone in your stateroom for the entire duration of your sailing.

Are there limits to what I can do with the photos I have taken onboard?

There is some legalese that you agree to when you buy a photo package. You should read it yourself, but the upshot is that you’re fine to use your downloaded photos for nearly any personal purpose: post them on your social media, print a photo to hang over your mantle, use the photo on your holiday card, etc.

You are not allowed to use the DCL photographer photos for commercial purposes. If you’re thinking about selling something with a DCL photographer image on it, make sure you’re complying with the legal agreement and consult counsel if necessary.

I’m doing a land/sea vacation, Walt Disney World and a Disney cruise, can I get one photo package that covers both parts of my vacation?

Unfortunately not. If you want photo plans for both halves of your travels, you’ll need to buy them separately.

disney cruise photopass login

I’m back at home an  have had a change of heart. Can I buy a DCL photo package after I’ve disembarked?

Unfortunately not. Once you’re off the ship, your opportunity to buy photos from your sailing is over.

One thought on “ Photo Packages on Disney Cruise Line – Frequently Asked Questions ”

Photographers seemed a bit AWOL on my recent 6 night Disney Wonder cruise over New Years . I had prepaid a digital pack, and only had about 12 photos taken. The photographers missed my small family at dining and deck parties, and only took two or three photos each time we lined up to meet character (they were also not present at any Marvel character we met). When I asked about dining photos at Pirate night the photographer begrudgingly snapped one. Luckily I remembered I could cancel the package onboard. But it was a little distressing during my vacation that I had almost no photos taken.

What services does Disney’s Photopass offer?

There are two main services that Disney’s PhotoPass offers to guests. They include Disney’s PhotoPass and Disney’s Memory Maker  .

  • Disney’s PhotoPass: Guests can choose to get their photos taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers in the parks and buy those that they want when they arrive home. This can be done either as individual photo downloads or all together for a single price. Purchasing photos after the trip can be more expensive than pre-paying.

How Disney’s PhotoPass Service Works

Photopass Figment

The first time a photograph is taken, you’ll either be given a PhotoPass card with a unique 16-digit barcode or your MagicBand will be scanned. Disney Photopass photographers will scan the bar code or band each time they take a photo. Keep your Disney PhotoPass card safe and accessible at all times in the parks. Present your PhotoPass card to the Disney Photographer each time a photo is taken.

  • First, you’ll need to locate a PhotoPass Photographer. They are pretty easy to spot, as they will be carrying professional camera equipment and usually can be found wearing a green shirt and blue pants or shorts. Guests will be able to find them throughout Walt Disney World Resort’s four theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, as well as a few other locations.
  • Guests will have a couple of options available to them when they get their photos taken. One option will be that guests can use their MagicBand. The Disney PhotoPass photographer will simply scan the Mickey logo on your band and your photos will be linked to your MyDisneyExperience account. The other option is that guests will be given a PhotoPass card. This plastic card is free and will have a 16 digit barcode. The PhotoPass photographer will scan that and then hand it to you. Any time you get your photo taken by a Disney’s PhotoPass photographer, you will need to get either the MagicBand or the PhotoPass card scanned.
  • With Disney’s PhotoPass, you are under no financial obligation to purchase the photos the photographers take. Even if you don’t purchase any photos after your vacation, you can still share them online with friends and family for up to 30 days.

MouseForLess PhotoPass Park Tips:

Write down your 16-digit number and keep it safe in case your PhotoPass card is lost. Using your cell phone to text or email your 16-digit number to yourself is another great way to keep track of it, or take a photo of it with your camera. If your PhotoPass card is misplaced, just ask any Disney Photographer for a new card. Multiple cards can be combined later online. As long as you have the number, you can still access the photos on the missing card on Disney’s PhotoPass site.

For convenience and easy access, store your PhotoPass card in a clear plastic sleeve attached to a lanyard around your neck. No need to remove the card from the sleeve each time you would like to use it; it can be scanned right through the plastic.

If you are traveling in a group, you can get the same photo added to more than one card and after your trip each member of the group can set up his or her own account.

Get as many photos taken as you want! There’s no limit to the number of photos you can have.

If your party is likely to split-up, ask for a card for each family member; multiple cards can be combined online later into one account.

Ask for multiple poses. It’s free and Disney photographers are glad to oblige. You can also ask the Disney PhotoPass photographer to take similar poses with your own camera.

Disney will often superimpose characters into one of your PhotoPass photos. These characters can vary by location. Ask what characters might be available at each location.

Did you know you can ask Disney’s PhotoPass Photographers to take specific shots for you? If you want a “silly” photo, for example, just let them know – they may even have some suggestions for you!

Don’t leave your own camera behind. While PhotoPass photographers are usually available on main walkways (especially where main park icons like Cinderella Castle, Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth , etc are in view) and at character meet & greet areas, sometimes they are unavailable, especially on rainy days. Don’t take chances and miss that “special moment.”

Feel free to ask the photographers to take a photo using your camera. Most often they will be happy to oblige, and you will have a copy of a great picture with your whole party!

PhotoPass Magic Shots

Disney PhotoPass Service is famous for taking a few “magical” photos. Magic Shots are a special service of Disney PhotoPass Service that adds a special touch of magic to Guests’ photos by using props and include other special elements such as Disney characters or other surprises. These unique photos can be taken at several different locations. If a Photopass Photographer asks you to stand in a strange pose or look at an area where there is nothing to look at, you will likely have a Magic Shot to check out on MyDisneyExperience later.

Guests can also receive animated magic shots .  These pictures come alive with animation when viewed on the MyDisneyExperience app and can be shared online. There are a few locations for these animated pictures. Be on the lookout for other animated magic shots for special events or seasons.

  • A shot featuring Mickey as a magician is available at outside Crystal Arts on Main Street or at the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park.
  • A shot adding a picture of your family to  Ariel’s undersea collection can be found on the bridge outside of Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid.
  • Your group can join the resistance with a special shot near the X-Wing and A-Wing fighters in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
  • Also in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, your pictures are added to a slideshow that showcases Hollywood, and can be added in multiple locations, including Outside of Tailors to the Stars and Keystone Clothiers on Hollywood Boulevard, in front of Mickey’s Runaway Railway, near the pathway to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster on Sunset Boulevard, and from the photographer closest to the Hollywood Tower Hotel on Sunset Boulevard
  • When you meet Cinderella before dining at  Cinderella’s Royal Table or visit her at Princess Fairy Tale Hall in Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll be welcomed with an Animated Magic Shot featuring  Jaq and Gus .
  • Guests with Memory Maker will be able to enjoy animated shots of their attraction photos on several attractions including: Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin ,  Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Tower of Terror .

Magic Shots change frequently and you never know what you’re going to get! Always ask the Disney PhotoPass Photographer if they have a special Magic Shot for that location.

How To Access Photos

Disney PhotoPass Service has opened the doors to an online experience for Walt Disney World Resort guests at MyDisneyPhotoPass.com. This web site will work in conjunction with MyMagic+ and Magicbands.

Via the website, guests will be able to organize photos in a timeline that allows them to relive vacation memories as they happened. The website also offers guests the chance to edit their photos, changing them from color to black and white or sepia, as well as adding unique options to include on the photographs such as Disney borders, stickers featuring Character signatures and Disney icons.

If it is your first time visiting MyDisneyPhotoPass.com, you will need to register for an account in order to be able to access your photos. If you already have a My Disney Experience account, you will simply need to enter your username and password.

Keep in mind that if you are attempting to access photos from Disneyland Resort, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (Gameday Photos) and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, you will need to do so via a separate website links at MyDisneyPhotoPass.com.

All Disney’s PhotoPass photos, dining photos and attraction photos in MyDisneyPhotoPass.com accounts will now expire 45 days from the date the photos were taken. This means that the expiration date of all of your photos may vary, depending on the date each photo was taken. (For example, if you went on a vacation Monday through Friday, your Monday photo will expire first, and then four days later, your Friday photos would expire.)

Guests who would like to extend their photos expiration date to 60 days from the date the photos were taken may purchase an expiration extension if they wish. If purchased, all photos in guest accounts as of the day the expiration extension is purchased will then expire 60 days from the date the photos were taken. Please keep in mind that expiration dates of photos may only be extended once. (So you will need to make sure that all of your photos are edited and ordered by the expiration time, because once they are gone, they are gone.)

You will also be able to share photos with family and friends online. You can also purchase specialty prints; photo greeting cards; Photo Books, and other photo products for an additional cost.

To view the expiration date of a photo in your album, click to enlarge the photo. Beneath the enlarged photo, the expiration date will appear. You will receive a notification email prior to the removal of the images. Please ensure your email address is valid and that if you use a Spam filter, you check your Spam folder for this message. You can also add [email protected] to your accepted email senders list to help ensure these important emails reaches you. Disney reserves the right to not upload photos which are deemed to be of poor quality and/or contain content that might be deemed to be offensive. No complimentary extension will be granted on the 30 days you have to view, share, and purchase photos.

MouseForLess Photo Accessing Tips:

Disney offers an extension on your PhotoPass time for a price. A photo storage extension can be purchased for $19.95 for 15 days. If you need more time to decided which photos to purchase, watch the PhotoPass “Special Offer” area as sometimes discounts on storage extension are offered.

Once you access your photos you can view and share them, as well as order prints of your photos and create Disney keepsake products before they are deleted. Be aware that photos are deleted at midnight on the day of expiration. This means the day before your expiration date is the last full day to access your photos.

The PhotoPass site has e-cards you can make and send, personalized from photos in your account and music. Plus, you can share your PhotoPass photos three ways: via email, post to a blog or even publish directly to your Facebook news feed. Friends and family are only able to view your vacation photo albums and order prints. They are not able to make edits to your photos. Click here to learn more about sharing photos from your account.

If you have Internet access (all Walt Disney World resorts and parks provide free WiFi access to guests) and would like to share your photos with family and friends while on vacation, you can do so by registering your PhotoPass card(s) right away. This can be an easy and simple way to involve everyone in your vacation via PhotoPass’ free photo sharing options, email, ecards or Facebook. Just remember, once you log-in after the first photo has been taken, you will only have 30 days from that point to make enhancements and purchases.

If you have more than one Disney’s PhotoPass ID when you register, simply click the “Add another ID” under your account information to combine cards onto a single account.

Disney’s PhotoPass website keeps track of all of the PhotoPass numbers (cards) that you enter indefinitely. You can re-use a PhotoPass card from a previous vacation, but be sure you can still access the card before leaving home. You can find your card numbers under your account information. And, remember that you have 30 days to log-in once you start adding new photos to claim them.

If you lose your PhotoPass card and don’t have the number for the card, Disney may still be able to help you find your photos. Just fill out a Lost PhotoPass Form online with as much info as you can remember. Disney can only find photos taken within the last 30 days. If you discover you’ve lost your card in the park, you can also stop by one of the photo centers for assistance.

When you have your Disney’s PhotoPass photo taken at select Character Meet and Greet locations in the Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney will magically add a selection of incredible stock photos of your favorite Characters from your encounter. These stock photos are all available for you to view, share, or use in any of PhotoPass online photo products. You can use them to spice up your Disney’s Photo Book, Calendars, Greeting Cards and best of all, when you purchase Disney’s PhotoCD they are also included as high-resolution files on the disc for your personal use at home, for printing or social media.

During holiday parties in the Magic Kingdom, such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, make sure to get a PhotoPass card if you don’t have a MagicBand with you. You can add your party PhotoPass card to your other PhotoPass cards online when you get home.

Don’t overlook using Disney PhotoPass photographers at Disney water parks. Photographers are position in some unique locations to get shots you would not normally get, like at the bottom of select water slides or in the wave pools.

The small-sized PhotoPass card you get at Disney’s water parks come attached to a stretch bracelet you can slip round your wrist. These cards are so cool and handy, you may want to consider using it as your main once you get one. They work in the theme parks as well!

The time of day can make for completely different photos. Trying capturing some gorgeous nighttime versions of the photos you took earlier in the day.

For some fun or unique photo opportunities that don’t involve a PhotoPass photographer, try these ideas: 1) . Families with children can locate the Cigar Shop Indian on Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom. Have the kids take an annual photo next to him. The Indian makes a unique pictorial measuring stick to see your children’s growth! 2) Would you love to have some photos of Main Street USA and Cinderella’s Castle without all of the people? The Magic Kingdom opens Main Street around an hour before the park officially opens. Get there and beat the crowd. If you have an early reservation you might be able to get in even earlier.

When taking your own photos at the theme parks, look for the Picture Spot signs that mark great backdrops for your photos. Look for the camera icon on your guide map to locate them.

Comments From MouseForLess Members

The Disney Photographers wear a green shirt that says something about photoPass on it. Just look for the bright green and make your way over to them. ~ Diane

Send your Photo digital prints to Walmart, etc, to be printed. It’s a heck of a lot cheaper than paying the $12.95 for a single print at Disney! My local store runs specials the week after any holiday and it’s usually 3 cents for a 4 x 6 print. ~ Jan

You can’t fill up a card! The photos aren’t stored on the card itself, so there is no space issue to worry about. The number on your card works more or less as a file number – when you enter it online, all of the pictures associated with that number will show up. It doesn’t matter if you have 5 cards with 25 photos each or 1 card with 400 photos. If you leave your card in the room or one person wanders off with it, you can just get another. You can have as many cards as you need or want. If you’re going to one of the seasonal Magic Kingdom parties, they often have special PhotoPass cards that make great keepsakes. I get those whether I need them or not.

The fun part on line is adding the embellishments. You can add Mickey’s signature that says something like “Your Pal Mickey” or Minnie’s that says “Hugs and Kisses”. All of the characters have special signatures. With the flower power at Epcot there are characters you can add to the lower right of the picture. The dated ones have the characters coming out of the numbers. It is a lot of fun!

Complete Guide to Disney PhotoPass (Is It Worth It?)

Complete Guide to Disney PhotoPass (Is It Worth It?)

Photographs have long been one of our most favorite souvenirs from our Walt Disney World trips – and thanks to Disney’s PhotoPass service, you can make sure that everyone is actually in the photo and nobody is stuck holding the camera.

While PhotoPass is easy to use, there are some common questions that we get about how it works, how long the photos last, and how much it costs, etc. And of course, people always want to know whether it is worth it or not, and we have thoughts on that below , too.

To make it easy, we’ve put all of those FAQs into a Complete Guide to Disney PhotoPass .

Let’s get started…

In this article

What is PhotoPass?

If you already understand what PhotoPass is, feel free to skip down to the next section. But, if you are new to Disney planning, you’ll want to stick around to learn the basics.

PhotoPass is the name of the photo service found at Walt Disney World .

If you’ve ever been to other theme parks, you may have seen a few photographers taking pictures in a couple of spots, but Disney’s photo service is on a totally different level of efficiency and ease.

First of all, Disney has far more photographers than any other theme park we’ve ever been to. That means, you’ll have lots (and lots) of opportunities to get some great pics.

Secondly, PhotoPass photographers will take pictures with their camera AND with yours.

That’s right:

Even if you never purchase a single photo from Disney, you can still have PhotoPass photographers snap pictures with your phone or camera.

This is a great tip and something we recommend; it basically doubles your chance of snagging the perfect shot.

And finally, if you do decide to buy a photo, you have several different ways you can do that, including:

  • Buying a single photo
  • Buying Memory Maker , which allows you to download all your photos (including ride photos )
  • Buying Memory Maker One Day , which works like the full Memory Maker except it is only for a single day’s photos
  • Buying products like mugs or calendars with your PhotoPass photos on them

With a combination of PhotoPass photographers strategically stationed at fan-favorite photo spots throughout the parks and ride photos on select attractions, you’ll have lots of opportunities for photos during your visit.

With PhotoPass, you can:

  • Have pics taken in the parks, including  Magic Shots  where Disney will place special effects in your pictures after they are taken
  • Capture photos from runDisney events (by linking your bib number )
  • Snag ride photos on several of the most popular rides
  • Get pics taken with the characters.

And since somebody else is taking the picture, you’ll actually be able to have everyone in your photo with you, too.

How does Disney’s PhotoPass work?

Using PhotoPass is easy; and unless you want to purchase Memory Maker ahead of time for the discount, you don’t have to do anything before you get your first photo to use PhotoPass.

Here’s how it works:

  • Look for PhotoPass photographers in the parks. Most are dressed in a bright-green shirt. There are a few PhotoPass photographers on Main Street U.S.A. who are dressed in themed costumes, but the rest (including the other parks) are in bright-green shirts.

  • Link your photos. Ever wonder how Disney knows who you are? All of your account information is linked together. PhotoPass photographers will scan either your MagicBand, Disney PhotoPass card, theme park ticket, or Annual Pass. You can also access a QR code they can scan in the My Disney Experience App.

photopass code

  • Strike a pose. Your PhotoPass photographer will then take your picture. Even if you don’t plan to purchase any of the photos – they are still going to take a picture with their camera first. Make sure you ask them to grab a few pics with your camera or phone, too. Many of the spots also offer Magic Shots . Photographers are pretty good at getting multiple poses at each location, but we always like to ask if they can do any Magic Shots, too.

  • Review photos. After you’ve taken photos, you’ll be able to review them all in the My Disney Experience App. If you have purchased Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day, or if you are an Annual Passholder who has added on the PhotoPass option, you’ll be able to download your pics. If you haven’t purchased Memory Maker, your photos will have a watermark, and you won’t be able to download them unless you select a photo product to purchase.

photopass in my disney experience

  • Note: If you have purchased Memory Maker and would like to download all your photos, it is easier to download a large batch of photos on a computer. Go to the Photopass website , and after you’ve selected at least one photo , in the upper right corner of the screen, you’ll have the option to select ALL visible media .

Do I have to have a MagicBand to use PhotoPass?

MagicBands and/or MagicBand+ are not required to use PhotoPass. But, if you don’t have a MagicBand or MagicBand+, your ride photos will not be automatically linked.

Instead, you would have to locate the screens at the exit of the attractions with ride photos and scan your ticket under the correct photo. But, it is important to note that not every attraction has this option. We’ve indicated which ones require a MagicBand for ride photos below .

How much does PhotoPass cost?

PhotoPass is free to use, and you can take as many photos as you want. But, if you want to keep any of your photos, you must purchase the digital downloads or prints :

  • Memory Maker ($199 + tax, or $169+ tax if purchased at least 3 days before your trip) Gives you unlimited downloads of all your photos and ride photos
  • Memory Maker One Day ($69 + tax) Like the regular Memory Maker, but the One Day version gives you unlimited downloads of all your photos and ride from a single day. This is a good option if you are attending one of the parties at Magic Kingdom (like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party) or if you have scheduled Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and want to get lots of pics of your little one all dressed up.
  • Individual photo (starting at $18.95 each) If you just want to purchase 1 photo, you can do that, but the cost is kind of high.
  • Photo products (price varies) You can also purchase things like mugs, calendars, coasters, phone cases, etc. with your selected PhotoPass photo on it. Price for each item varies.

Memory maker price list

Can I purchase PhotoPass in advance?

You don’t have to purchase PhotoPass (because PhotoPass is the name of the service, and the service is free) BUT , if you want to purchase Memory Maker, we highly recommend you purchase that in advance because it gives you a $30 discount – $199 vs. $169 if purchased at least 3 days before your trip.

Annual Passholders

In the past, Annual Passholders received free downloads of all in-park photos, but that is no longer the case. Now, if you want pictures from your trips, you’ll need to add that feature to your Annual Pass at a cost of $99.00 per year.

Everywhere you can get PhotoPass pictures

Ready to grab some pictures? Here’s what you need to know about where you’ll find PhotoPass photographers.

Where are PhotoPass photographers located, and how do I find them?

PhotoPass photographers are stationed throughout all the parks (including the water parks). In general, you’ll find them at all the most popular photo op locations, like in front of Cinderella Castle, along Main Street U.S.A., in front of Spaceship Earth and the Tree of Life, etc.

But, if you aren’t sure where they are, PhotoPass photographer spots are also listed on the map in the My Disney Experience app. Just change the filter at the top of the map to “ PhotoPass “.

Characters with PhotoPass photographers

While lots of characters DO have PhotoPass photographers, not all of them do. And some characters have automated camera boxes to take pictures instead of a human.

Here’s where you can typically find characters with PhotoPass photographers:

  • Aladdin (Adventureland)
  • Belle (Enchanted Tales with Belle; not everyone will get a pic with Belle)

automated camera box

After you are done with the character meet, you’ll need to scan your MagicBand or ticket before you leave to link the photos to your account.

  • Story Book Dining at Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge)
  • Chef Mickey’s (Contemporary Resort)
  • Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom)

Several other restaurants (like Tusker House) used to also have a photo op; however, there are no PhotoPass photographers there currently.

You don’t get a physical copy of the photo, but it will be added to your PhotoPass account and will be available to download – and the photos taken are included with Memory Maker , too.

Also – there are no PhotoPass photographers at the tables themselves, so you’ll need to be ready with your own camera or phone if you want your picture taken.

PhotoPass Ride Photos

Several attractions offer ride photos. Just like traditional PhotoPass pictures, you can purchase ride photos individually or if you have purchased Memory Maker, your ride photos will be included with that.

Additionally, guests who have purchased Genie+ also have their ride photos included with their purchase.

PhotoPass FAQs

Have a question about PhotoPass? We have answers!

What is the difference between Memory Maker and PhotoPass?

It is really easy to confuse PhotoPass and Memory Maker, but here is how we like to explain it:

  • PhotoPass is a free photo service
  • Memory Maker is a PhotoPass product you buy

Do I have to buy Memory Maker to use PhotoPass?

Nope! You do NOT have to purchase Memory Maker to use PhotoPass.

But, if you think you will want to purchase more than a few photos or ride photos, Memory Maker is a much more economical way to do that since individual photos start at around $19 each.

Can I share my PhotoPass account with my family and friends?

You don’t have to share your account because as long as you are on each other’s Family and Friends list AND you have opted to share photos, you’ll be able to see and download each other’s photos, too.

Traveling with a group? You can share photos and videos with up to 25 people, which means you can also share 1 Memory Maker, too!

Can I get PhotoPass pictures if it is raining?

Rain is really common in Central Florida , and while some bad weather will force the PhotoPass photographers indoors, if it isn’t too bad, you can find them out and about.

Truth be told, some of our most cherished photos are ones we took in the rain! Some PhotoPass photographers even have special Magic Shots just for rainy days.

Step 1: Go to the PhotoPass website and log in. Step 2: Select at least 1 photo. After you do that, a box should appear in the upper right-hand corner. Step 3: Check the “Select all visible media” button Step 4: Download your photos

The photos will be downloaded in zip files so you’ll need to extract them to open them up.

If you’d rather, you can also order your photos on a USB drive or on a CD for around $35 each.

How long do PhotoPass photos stay in my account?

Your photos will stay in your account for 45 days from the date the photo was taken. During that 45-day window, you’ll be able to:

  • Download them as many times as you’d like (as long as you have purchased Memory Maker).
  • If you didn’t pre-purchase Memory Maker and decide after seeing your photos that you’d like to do that now, you can that during this 45-day window, too
  • Purchase individual photos
  • Purchase any of the other photo items like mugs, calendars, etc.

What happens if I run out of time? PhotoPass Extension

If time gets away from you after you are home, you can pay for a one-time extension to access to your photos. The cost is $19.95, and you can get 15 additional days to edit and download your vacation pics.

How long does it take for PhotoPass photos to appear in my account?

Photos that aren’t Magic Shots will appear quickly – sometimes within a minute or 2.

Magic Shots, however, can take several hours or even a day or so to show up.

What if photos are missing from my PhotoPass account?

If a photo is missing from your account, don’t panic.

Disney has a system for tracking down missing PhotoPass photos, and they do a really, really good job of finding them.

You can report missing PhotoPass photos online . The form is short and asks you basic questions about the day and time and location.

We’ve always had great success in them being able to locate our missing photos.

Is PhotoPass worth it?

Since it costs you nothing to take photos, we really think that it makes sense to grab at least a few PhotoPass pics, even if you don’t plan to buy any.

If you haven’t purchased Memory Maker, ideally we’d recommend that you try to get a pic or 2 in each park, with both the PhotoPass camera and your phone or camera. That way, you’d have a bunch to choose from – including free ones with everyone in the pic.

If you are on the fence about buying Memory Maker, here are a few reasons we think it is worth it:

First-timers or important trips

Special trip where you want to make sure you snap as many pics as possible? You’ll probably get a lot of use out of the PhotoPass system and find it handy to be able to download all of your pics using Memory Maker.

Large travel groups

Traveling in a group? Everyone in the group can add pics to their account, and whoever buys Memory Maker can download for everyone. Lots of people for the cost of 1 Memory Maker purchase makes it easier to justify.

Solo travelers

People traveling alone often like the convenience of having somebody else take their pic, so they don’t have to ask anybody to use their phone to snap a photo.

Special events/occasions

Planning to participate in a runDisney event, booked a Capture Your Moment session, or have some other special occasion planned? These all give lots of reasons for pics to be taken, making it more worth it to buy Memory Maker.

Disney PhotoPass Tips

Here are some of our favorite tips for making the most of Disney’s PhotoPass Service:

  • Purchase Memory Maker in Advance: If you plan to take advantage of PhotoPass extensively, consider purchasing Memory Maker before your trip. This can save you money compared to buying individual photos later.
  • Ask Photographers for Magic Shots: Disney photographers often offer “Magic Shots,” which include fun and creative additions like Disney characters or effects added to your photos. Don’t hesitate to ask photographers if they have any Magic Shots available.
  • Capture Iconic Locations: Seek out photographers stationed at iconic spots like in front of Cinderella’s Castle or Spaceship Earth. These shots can become cherished keepsakes of your visit.
  • Use MagicBands: You can use your MagicBand or MagicBand+ to link photos directly to your account. This makes the process seamless and eliminates the need for physical PhotoPass cards or hunting for the QR code in the app.
  • Capture Character Interactions: PhotoPass photographers are often stationed near character meet-and-greet locations. Take advantage of these opportunities to get professional photos with your favorite Disney characters.
  • Be Aware of Photo Opportunities: Look for the PhotoPass logo on signage or ask Cast Members about photo opportunities. Sometimes, there are special themed photo spots that are only available for a limited time. The Disney PhotoPass Facebook and Instagram pages are also good places to find the latest photo options.
  • Plan for Nighttime Shots: PhotoPass photographers are often available during evening shows and fireworks displays. Capture the magical nighttime atmosphere with their assistance.
  • Check for Discounts: Keep an eye out for any discounts or special offers on PhotoPass packages. Disney occasionally offers promotions that can help you save on photo purchases.
  • Manage Your Expiration Dates: Remember that your photos will have an expiration date, usually around 45 days after they’re taken. Make sure to download or purchase your desired photos before they expire.
  • Capture Candid Moments: While posed photos are wonderful, don’t forget to let the photographers capture candid moments too. These can often result in some of the most authentic and cherished memories.

Your Complete Guide to the Walt Disney World PhotoPass and Memory Maker

Last Updated on March 25, 2020

Your complete guide to PhotoPass and Memory Maker at Disney World. Everything you need to know about Memory Maker and PhotoPass for your vacation to Disney World; What it is, how it works, and is it worth it? #Disney #Disneyworld #animalkingdom #photopass #disneycharacters #travel #familytravel

What is the best way to get high-resolution images, from professionals, in a picturesque location, and the whole family can be included? Don’t worry, this isn’t a trick question. And you won’t have to ask a stranger to take your photo either. Answer; Disney’s Memory Maker and Photopass service.

Professional Photos with the Whole Family

How does photopass work.

Linking your Memory Maker purchase to the My Disney Experience App is straight forward.

Now You Can:

Share your Memory Maker with other family members that are linked to your My Disney Experience account. There is a single account administrator and they control how much access each person has over ‘All My Plans’ or ‘Only Plans We Share’.

To use the service, simply have your photo taken by a PhotoPass photographer, the Cast Member will scan your MagicBand or Photopass card and those photos will now be linked to your My Disney Experience account.

  • Find a photo pass location and have your photo taken
  • Have amazing images linked to your My Disney Experience account via your MagicBand or PhotoPass card.
  • PhotoPass cards do not require any payment upfront. The images are stored on your account for approximately 30 days giving you time to pick your top shots.

Photo Tip:  Take a photo of the 16 code on the back of your PhotoPass card with your phone, just in case it gets lost. Place it in a lanyard or waterproof pouch

How Many Photos Can I Have Taken?

There is no limit to the number of photos that can be added to either service. Guests can even collect multiple cards and apply them all to the account if your card is forgotten at the hotel or the group splits up. There is a 30-day clock on all purchases and viewing your first photo starts your clock in terms of adding new images.

In other words, you have 30 days from first viewing to add more images to your account. There is a second clock to consider when making purchases; guests have 45 days to download and review all images from the Memory Maker. This is when you can edit, filter and add your own images to the program for sharing with the group.

Top Spots for Great Shots?

While this service is amazing, we would never suggest leaving your camera at the hotel. Bring your best travel camera in case the photographers aren’t in the spot you wanted, or it is a rainy day. Characters and photographers run a little scarce when it starts to rain.

disney cruise photopass login

Furthermore, the ‘Professional PhotoPass Photographers’ are not necessarily photographers, by trade. We have had our fair share of iffy photos that they have taken with our camera. They are proficient on their own camera, rightly so. But hand them something and all bets are off. Be sure to have the settings perfected beforehand.

That said, as a service, PhotoPass is wonderful. The images that do come out are incredible and there is a chance that your Disney photos are the only family photos you will ever get with both Mum and Dad.

Differences between the Disney PhotoPass and Disney Memory Maker

There are a few distinctions between Disney’s Photopass and Memory Maker. What confuses most people is that  PhotoPass is both a service, being photographed, and a product, buying the photos individually.

The service  PhotoPass is free to everyone. The PhotoPass product is for those that aren’t sure if they want to purchase a photo package, and want to collect the cards until they have made a choice. Guests are able to view the images online and purchase photos one at a time, as needed.

Memory Maker

Memory Maker, on the other hand, is a prepurchased photo package. Guests using Memory Maker have already decided that they want to purchase many Disney photos and have taken advantage of the discounts available for purchasing before arriving at Walt Disney World. Attraction, dining, magic shots as well as character, meet and greet photos are included in the Memory Maker package, and the number of photos included in the package is unlimited.

PhotoPass is a service that you don’t have to commit too.

Memory Maker is a pre-purchased set of photo opportunities.

Memory Maker has the Biggest Draw

‘The big draw, to Memory Maker is that it also includes select on-ride photos and character dining .

Ride Photos included in packages at Disney World

  • Space Mountain, Splash Mountain,
  • Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin,
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror,
  • Rock ‘n Roller Coaster,
  • Expedition Everest, and Dinosaur.
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train offers both on-ride photos and on-ride video.

Character dining locations included in Memory Maker at Walt Disney World

  • 1900 Park Fare,
  • Ohana (breakfast),
  • Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show,
  • Chef Mickey’s,
  • Cinderella’s Royal Table,
  • Tusker House Restaurant (breakfast),
  • Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue, and
  • Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

Magic Shots are Included in the Memory Maker Photo Package

Is that Tinker Bell in the palm of your hand?

Magic Shots add Disney Characters and other fun surprises to your photos after they’re taken. Seeing is believing!

Disney PhotoPass Service Studio

Lastly, Disney has the Disney PhotoPass Service Studio . You simply stop by the studio and a photographer will be on hand to help you select the perfect portrait backdrop. These photos can easily link to your My Disney Experience account and there are no reservations required.

This should not be confused with the Family Portrait Sessions offered by Disney Fine Art Photography; those are not included in the Memory Maker packages.

disney cruise photopass login

What About Water Parks!

If you’re heading to Disney’s Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon water parks at Walt Disney World, Memory Maker is available.

Photographers in the water parks are positioned in a lot of fun locations where you probably couldn’t easily get your own photos.

Photographers will give you a PhotoPass card on an elastic band to scan and then you can link it to your Memory Maker.

Is Memory Maker Worth it?

Whether Memory Maker is worth the cost depends on a number of factors, namely, how many photos you’ll take with it.

Given the fact that PhotoPass Photographers will take photos of you with your own camera, it is hard recommending Memory Maker to anyone on a tight budget, but Memory Maker does have a few options that can not be replicated with your own camera. These are the options that will truly make or break your choice to purchase Memory Maker or PhotoPass single photos.

Quality Day and Night Photos

Many have said that guests would be better off with a great point and shoot, and have the photographer take the pictures with that camera. Since we have already discussed the “professional” aspect of these professional photographers, I personally prefer to let them take pictures with my camera and the camera they are most accustomed to. Just in case.

Having PhotoPass Cast Members around at night is also nice.

Digital Scrapbooking Features

On the Memory Maker website, you are able to add borders, stickers, autographs and other media to the images through the Photopass and Memory Maker packages.

Large Group Photo Opportunities

The Memory Maker product becomes a better value if you have a larger party or are taking a longer trip, as there are more chances to have your picture taken and are able to split the cost amongst more Disney-goers. Perhaps the single biggest benefit is the on-ride photos. This alone cannot be achieved any other way.

Upgrading to Memory Maker

You can take your PhotoPass cards and upgrade to the Memory Maker after you have arrived at Walt Disney World. This does cost a few extra dollars than if you had bought them in advance but it is miles better than buying the photos one at a time.

disney cruise photopass login

How much does all of this cost?

PhotoPass photos are sold on an individual basis, and they start at $14.99 each. The same goes for on-ride photos and dining photos.

  • One Day Memory Maker. This is for those only visiting Disney for the day and wants to make the most of their time. It sells for $59 and valid for one day only, as the same implies.
  • Pre-purchased Memory Maker. If you buy your Memory Maker package before your vacation, it will cost $169.99
  • Onsite purchases will set you back $199.

Photo Tip:  When taking your own photos at the theme parks, look for the Picture Spot signs that mark great backdrops for your photos. Look for the camera icon on your guide map to locate them.

Memory Maker Thoughts

The longer your trip and the more people in your travelling party, the better the value you will draw from Memory Maker. According to math, your 14th picture is when Memory Maker becomes the best option.

If you plan on purchasing more than 14 pictures within your party or think there is a chance that you will purchase at least 14 pictures, purchasing the Memory Maker package is the best deal.

Annual Passholder Perk Disney PhotoPass Downloads

All your Disney PhotoPass photo downloads are included for:

  • Disney Platinum Plus Pass, and
  • Disney Platinum Pass Annual Passholders.

If you are really on the ball and have your list of photos you plan on purchasing, the magic number for you is 11! You will break even after the 11th image with a prepurchased Memory Maker package. Don’t you just love math!

We recently returned from a 7 day Disney World trip with 6 adults and 4 children. As a group, we took over 600 PhotoPass photos. We purchased the Memory Maker before the trip, so we took advantage of every photo stop, and even retook photos if they didn’t turn out well. It was money well spent.

That's amazing! We try to take as many as possible as well but I don't think we have ever passed the 500 mark. Money well spent for sure.

The Talk’s Sheryl Underwood Roasts Peter Krause for Making Angela Bassett Get in the Water on ‘9-1-1’

The Talks Sheryl Underwood Roasts Peter Krause for Making Angela Bassett Get in the Water on 911

The Talk’s Sheryl Underwood had a bone to pick with Peter Krause after he made his onscreen wife, Angela Bassett , go on a cruise against her will for their honeymoon during the new season of 9-1-1 .

“I’m mad at you because first you love each other, [but] you know she didn’t want to get in the water like that,” Underwood, 60, told Krause, 58, on the Thursday, March 28, episode of the CBS talk show . “Because you know Black people in water; our hair, our skin, ashiness, we don’t want to do it. And then you got her in the water, and [the boat] blew up because of the terrorists and now you got to save the whole boat. OK, go on then.”

Underwood was referring to the three-part season premiere of 9-1-1, in which Krause’s character, Bobby Nash, takes Bassett’s Athena Grant away for their honeymoon, which comes four years into their marriage. While at sea, Athena quickly makes it clear that she was not in support of setting sail and would have preferred to stay on dry land. Just as she’s adjusting to the open seas, terrorists capture the ship — leaving Athena and Bobby to save the day.

“You know, it makes for good TV,” Krause quipped in response to Underwood’s gripes. “So there’s that.”

Underwood then admitted that the epic adventure has been exciting and gushed over Bobby and Athena’s love story. “You two love each other,” she confessed. “I cried.”

Season 7 premiered on ABC on March 14 — its debut on the network after being canceled by Fox last year — with the second episode airing one week later. The final part is set to air on Thursday, with Bobby and Athena in need of rescue after a giant wave brought on by a hurricane capsized their boat.

“Yesterday I was climbing around an upside-down world. We have an injured individual who needs to be strapped to a roulette table, and then the ship turns over so he’s hanging upside down,” Krause teased while speaking to Entertainment Weekly earlier this week. “I have to figure out a way, as Bobby, to get him back down to safety.”

Krause told the outlet it’s “been fun” to take on a disaster of such a large scope, a project the show worked on for months. The short schedule, however, proved an obstacle at times, as 9-1-1 was also filming other episodes simultaneously.

The Talks Sheryl Underwood Roasts Peter Krause for Making Angela Bassett Get in the Water on 911

“I wish we had a little bit more time,” he added. “There is a time-crunch aspect to it all, which we try to deal with and keep things safe. But yeah, we move pretty fast on the show.”

Beyond its explosive — pun intended — premiere, 9-1-1 is also gearing up for its 100th episode, which will air next month. The major milestone will feature a crossover with ABC’s The Bachelor series and season 28’s leading man, Joey Graziadei .

“Joey may have handed out his final rose, but on Thursday, April 4, he’s guest-starring on a special episode,” a voiceover could be heard saying in a preview released during the After the Final Rose special on Monday, March 25.

In the clip, it appears that an emergency takes place at the Bachelor Mansion while Joey “meets his contestants.” Krause, along with costars Oliver Stark (Evan Buckley) and Ryan Guzman (Eddie Díaz), can be seen walking alongside Bachelor host Jesse Palmer on the way to save the day. (Joey’s real-life Bachelor journey ended with him getting engaged to Kelsey Anderson , as revealed earlier this week.)

“It’s not a direct crossover, but there’s a feel of it,” Stark told People earlier this month of what’s to come. “There’s a really fun emergency, and it’s not necessarily the biggest in terms of spectacle, but in the fifth episode of the season, there’s one that kind of touches base with another ABC show. I’m really excited for that just because I think it will be a good watch.”

9-1-1  airs on ABC Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET. Episodes are available to stream the next day on Hulu.
