This tour was meant to be a group tour and I was charged an extra supplement for having my own room. Turns out I was the only one on the tour and that this had been outsourced to yet another company called Embassey alliance.I only found this out a day before the tour, had no idea of who my point of contact was and also the itinerary did not match the initial tour. Expensive for what it is and I have complained. Plus note is that drivers and guides are good at their job shame about management.

The May trip to Japan “The Best Of Central Honshu”, was a very good experience especially the Alpine Route. This “Premium Tour” small group was very good, from total strangers became good friends. Very Good Food and Hotel arrangements. I would like to compliment Ms Diana Chua, our Singapore Tour Leader, she is pleasant, very caring and helpful. The Japan Tour Guide Philip Tan was good too.

As a first-time client of Travel Curators, I did not know what to expect. But by the end of my trip, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of their service, their systematic planning and especially their responsiveness throughout the trip to last minute requests. Had a 12 day private tour to Japan via Dynasty Travel. Overall, a refreshing, memorable and meaningful trip given our focused and free and easy tour. Meticulous and customised arrangements to fulfil our requirements. We thus have a good grasp of both Kyoto and Nagoya, and Japan in general after this trip.

Good food and hotel and itinerary. Their tours are good. Went with them to Turkey in Oct 22.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience to Central Honshu with Dynasty travel in May. Itinerary is good (esp. the Alpine Route!) and not so rushing throughout the trip. Tour leader, Diana, is friendly, well organized and helpful. She attend to our needs from simple things like buying fruits to buying Sake. 🍶😁 Also, Diana always make effort to look out on my elderly sister! Our travelling group were all lovely companions and everybody got along very well – A very comforting feeling! Overall the whole trip was very enjoyable. Good job Dynasty! 👍

Did a Mie/Aichi Japan private trip in early April. Thanks to Stephanie and her team, our needs and interests were met. Fine details like our food and accommodation preference from our previous Shizuoka trip in 2022 were noted. The clam digging experience in Aichi perfecture was definitely a unique birthday gift for my wife. Looking forward to our next trip.

Amendments to the Travel Agents Act and Travel Agents Regulations

The Travel Agents Act and Travel Agents Regulations have been amended to enhance consumer protection measures and better position the travel agent industry to grow and thrive in a rapidly evolving tourism landscape. The changes will take effect in phases from January 2018.

Transition to Electronic Issuance of Travel Agent Licences

As part of STB’s efforts to go digital and streamline workflows, all TA Licences will be issued electronically via the Travel Agents and Tourist Guides Licensing System (TRUST) with effect from 15 September 2022. 

Travel agents will be able to access their licence via the TRUST portal after their licence applications or renewals are approved. Travel agents will be able to download the licence and self-print for display thereafter. Travel agents can look forward to reduced waiting times for licence issuance and receipt upon approval of licence applications or renewals.

The new licence design includes enhanced features like a QR code which will allow members of the public to check and verify the authenticity and validity of the licence in real time. This will provide greater assurance to members of the public when interacting with the travel agent.

All licences issued before 15 September 2022 remain valid and do not need to be converted.

The Travel Agents Regulations will currently remain unchanged. The transition to licence only involves changes to licence design and its mode of delivery. For the avoidance of doubt, travel agents are still required to display the licence.

Platform operators who intend to list services relating to tours, travel or guiding services should first conduct due diligence checks to ensure that the necessary Travel Agent and Tourist Guide licence requirements are met before deciding to publish the listing.

Managing Tourists from China

Travel agents who wish to handle inbound tourists coming from China are required to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS). All China outbound travel agents are required to work only with Singapore inbound travel agents who have signed the MOU, and only these Singapore travel agents will be allowed to apply for China Group Visas from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA).

North Vietnam

I would like to compliment Amanda Chen for her good services rendered to our tour group during the North Vietnam trip 7-12/12/22. She is very meticulous and responsible from pre- to post-trip, examples: 1) created Whatsapp group to communicate with the group 2) printed our vaccination certs, luggage tag with our names 3) special arrangements for 16 of us which booked together as friends, eg seating 4) ensure all passengers have no issues with their baggage post-trip before leaving the airport. During the trip, she took very good care of us, serving us with great patience and her heart. These include: 1) 3 of us from the tour group (including me) left our personal belongings at the hotels on different days. She was very nice to immediately call the hotel's housekeeping & always arranged to pick them up for us. I was extremely grateful to her for going the extra mile to arrange for her colleague from the next tour group to help me collect from the hotel's housekeeping as it was out of the way for our group to return to the hotel. Although the mittens were considered small value items, they were precious to me because they were Little Men/Miss limited edition by Bossini, which are no longer available for purchase. She followed through with me for more than 1 week after our trip to keep me updated & also ensure that I have collected the mittens from CTC office in Singapore yesterday. Her service level is really delightful & exemplary! 2) I was sick during the trip and she would visit me to check-in if I was alright or need anything else. 3) When we feedback about anything missing from the room, she would immediately help us contact/request from the hotel, cruise or restaurant. 4) She tried her best to meet the special needs of elderly in the group and the group's adhoc requests. For example, the Hanoi Chalcedony Hotel's double beds were very tiny and uncomfortable, so many of them requested to change to single beds. During one of the nights, she had to give up her own room for an unhappy customer. Thank you for assigning Amanda to our group and I wish her continued success in hospitality/customer service.

My name is Marcus Leo.  Me and my family (consisting of my Dad, mum & my uncle) very recently went on a 5 day 4 night CTC tour of Vietnam. Our flight back to Singapore was yesterday 03/04/2023.  Our CTC travel tour guide was Mr Wen Jun.  I would like to give a very special mention to Mr Wen Jun and say that he has been extremely friendly, helpful and professional from the very start up to the very end of the arrival process back to Changi airport.  Throughout the entire tour, he has maintained a very high standard of professionalism throughout while still being friendly, funny, respectful and courteous to everyone.  Additionally, I must say this. My family understood that this tour was a purely Mandarin speaking tour. Having lived in Australia for more 20 years, me and my family are primarily English speaking with little comprehension of Mandarin. Throughout the whole tour, Mr Wen Jun went above and beyond his scope of duty to explain and translate things to us in English as we went along with the tour. He had no obligations to do this, but he went out of his way to do this for me and my family, and for that, we are very grateful to him and it made the difference between a good tour and a GREAT tour for us.  Me and my family have travelled around the world with many tour guides in the past, but very little to none of them were as professional and flexible as Mr Wen Jun.  The purpose of this e-mail is to give positive feedback for Mr Wen Jun. In conclusion, I am a very firm believer of giving credit when credit is due. I would like to say that Mr Wen Jun is indeed an asset to the CTC Travel Group. Hanoi Sapa Tour

I am writing here to compliments our Tour guide Mr Eric Yong. He have showered great care through out the whole of seven days. A great tour guide, he ensure all seniors are well taken care of and also most importantly all their well being. A wonderful guide who's strongly recommended and acknowledged for his professional and love with care during the tour.  I was down with food poisoning in the middle of the night. Vomited badly,  I called him, without any delay and hesitation, he came to our room with a boiling kettle from his room. To boiled water and given me the medication I needed. And the next morning, he sent me to the clinic and stays with me throughout the review by doctors. And also accompanying me back to hotel, reminded the front desk to deliver porridge to my room for my lunch and dinner.  My sincere heartfelt thanks to his kindness to ensure all our well being is well taken care of during the tour. I will sure looking forwards to join more tours to be guided by him. 

My name is Wendy. I travelled with my husband and my son to Finland, Norway and Estonia with CTC from 11 Dec to 19 Dec. I would like to write this Compliment Letter for your Product & Sales Manager Mr Jimmy Pua for his proactive and responsible attitude during the pre-sales consultation, his timely replies to help me conduct pre-trip preparation and his warm assistance to bring my son's lost winter jacket from Finland to Singapore. I met Jimmy at your Travel Revolution Fair booth in July 2022 at MBS. I was planning to let my son travel to a place to experience snow and cold weather. I visited some other travel agencies first and checked with them for Finland and Hokkaido packages. After I shared my concern that my son is a child with Autism so it may cause some inconvenience for other group members, the other sales persons did not give me enough useful feedback and ended up only encouraging me to pay the deposit as early as possible. I did not feel very confident so I just told myself that maybe I need to visit one more agency to get a second opinion. So I walked to CTC booth to talk to a lady about the Hokkaido package first. After understanding that Japan was not fully opened yet, I decided to only consider the Finland package. After I told Jimmy the same concern, he shared with me some past experiences he and his colleagues used to handle special needs kids in their groups. He told me it’s quite challenging but things still could work out finally. He also suggested there can be some special arrangements such as we can sit at the last row on the bus, have dinner at a corner table, and stay in a corner quiet room with a reasonable distance to the rest. He even went to talk to his manager to double confirm which gave me more confidence and reassurance. So at that moment I decided to take this winter adventure with CTC. Later on I paid the deposit and then Jimmy added me on WhatsApp. He told me I could message him for any other questions before the trip. My husband is holding a China passport so he needs to get his Schengen Visa done. Jimmy answered all my tedious questions and prepared all the required documents regarding the visa application and even sent me the direction guide to the Visa Centre. For something he is not sure about, he also helped me to call the Visa Centre or the embassy to find out the answers. When there was one month ahead of the departure date Jimmy linked me up with our tour guide Edward and told me he shared our background with Edward so I can follow up with him to settle the arrangement details. Our trip went quite smoothly generally. I can see my son really enjoyed snow activities and learned several new skills. Really appreciate that other group members were being very friendly and supportive. The only regret is that due to the continuous snow and cloudy weather we were not able to see Aurora through our eyes. After reaching Singapore we realized my son lost his Uniqlo winter jacket at Holiday Club Hotel at Lapland. I remembered it should have been lost at either the playground above the canteen or our room. I contacted the hotel by email and they replied they found the jacket but did not know how to return to us. Then I messaged Jimmy who happened to travel nearby that area to let him know the situation. He replied to me later that he should be able to drop by the hotel so he can help me collect and bring it to Singapore. The winter jacket is not so valuable but it carries the unforgettable memory for my son to see and play with snow for the first time. I really appreciate Jimmy’s assistance to help me bring it back from thousands of miles away. It was a Christmas Miracle for me. Overall I also need to thank CTC for arranging a wonderful trip for our family. This trip also marked an important milestone for my son to be able to manage himself and solve problems in a new environment. During the trip I also feel grateful that more and more people become aware about Autism and the more inclusive international society can support our special needs community to experience the same travelling joys during holiday seasons.

Sending this email to appreciate our tour guide Don who did a wonder job during our Spain trip. He was tentative to our needs and always looking out to ensure that we are safe and well taken care of, especially in Europe which is theft prone. With his past experience he knew where to bring us for best photo shoots, food, best view of sceneries, catching sunset during winter which could be challenging as days are shorter. He recommended food at the different cities knowing our cravings for Asians food after a while. Bringing sauces for almost every meal that he anticipated we would need! And importantly always ahead/on-time to ensure that we experience minimum queues/crowds. Amazing guide and hope to travel with him/CTC again soon. There are three main types of travel insurance policy for Singapore. These are:

• Single trip: for a one-off trip in the space of 12 months to Singapore
• Annual multi-trip : for more than one trip in the space of 12 months to Singapore or various destinations. This type of cover can work out more cost-effective than buying multiple single trip policies but not always so it’s best to compare both types of cover.
• Long-stay/backpacker : for an extended stay in Singapore, of typically 60 or 90 days, or 12 or 18 months. Cover for 24 months may be available, from certain providers.

When applying for travel insurance online, you’ll first be asked to enter your holiday destination. Depending on the insurer, you’ll need to click on Singapore, Asia or Worldwide travel excluding the US and nearby destinations such as Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada and Greenland. The latter option excludes a part of the world where medical costs are the highest, which in turn, bumps up the cost of cover. If you’re also planning to travel to the US, for example, there are separate worldwide policies that include it as a destination.

Insurers usually offer at least two or more types of travel insurance policy from basic or comprehensive cover and anything in between. Comprehensive policies offer the highest cover levels and widest range of benefits.

A key component of all travel insurance policies is emergency medical cover. You’ll find a comprehensive policy for Singapore will often offer an unlimited amount.

The standard of medical facilities and care in Singapore is similar to, or higher than in Australia, and the cost often much higher, so medical cover can prove a vital resource should you fall ill, or get injured, while away.

Note that in the case of an emergency, you’ll likely need to pay up-front first, and then reclaim the costs from your insurer, or confirm payment from your insurer with a hospital before it will provide treatment.

This includes cover for lost or stolen money, passports and documentation, missed departures, online fraud, and travel delay. The types of cover on offer, and cover limits, will vary between providers. There are a number of ways you can ensure your policy fits your needs. Many insurers offer optional add-ons that you can purchase if you need specialised cover. These include insurance for gadgets (such as a smartphone or laptop), a cruise and playing golf.

If you’re thinking of participating in more high-octane activities, check your policy’s PDS. Many cover around 100 or so sports automatically. Cover for what an insurer classes as high-risk activities, such as skydiving, bungee jumping, outdoor rock climbing, and activities requiring a set of wheels, such as quad biking, may require purchasing an additional ‘sports pack’ for your policy.

While reading through a policy’s PDS, it’s crucial to also take note of any limitations of cover. These can differ between policies, but generally you can expect most insures to refuse claims relating to a pre-existing condition. This is a medical condition you had before taking out the policy. The insurer may not cover such conditions, or may refuse your claim if you did not declare your condition on applying for the policy.

An insurer is also unlikely to accept claims for an injury caused by taking part in a sport or activity where you did not wear the appropriate safety gear, such as a helmet, knee pads or a harness. Claims resulting from disorderly behaviour or being under the influence of drink or drugs will also likely be rejected.

It’s best to regularly check government advice for your destination, which it publishes on its Smartraveller website. This includes warnings about natural disasters, terrorism threats and pandemics. Visiting Singapore, or a part of the country, if the government puts it on its “do not travel” list, could invalidate your policy.

The amount you’ll need to pay for your travel insurance policy will depend on a range of factors. An insurer will consider your holiday destination, associated costs when travelling there and the length of time you’ll be travelling.

The price of a policy can rise for mature travellers and those with pre-existing conditions, as insurers view these travellers as more likely to claim on their policy.

To provide an idea of how much travel insurance for Singapore can cost, we ran quotes on the sites of the insurers we’ve rated the top five for travel insurance.

We used the profile of a family of four, aged 42, 40, 14 and 12, spending 13 to 26 May in the country, and assumed they have no pre-existing conditions, (although these providers do offer cover for pre-existing conditions should you need it).

We found basic cover ranged from around $106 to $202, while comprehensive cover started at around $241, with the most expensive policy costing just under $304.

Before choosing a policy, it’s important to shop around. An easy way to do this is to run quotes on the websites of various insurers and compare factors such as the type of cover a policy includes and cover levels against price.

While travel insurance for Singapore isn’t mandatory, it can be considered a travel essential if you have no other means of covering emergency costs while away.

Emergency medical fees can easily stack up to thousands of dollars alone, and without travel insurance in place, you would have to cover them out of pocket. Travel insurance also can cover a number of eventualities that we often fail to consider, such as an airline, transport company, or accommodation provider going bust.

What is ‘excess’ in insurance?

An excess is a set amount you’ll be expected to pay on each approved claim. It’s usually levied per person on the policy, per event, per claim, but you can check the PDS for the specifics concerning your insurer. You usually can pick from a range of excess amounts, from $50 to $250 on average, when taking out a policy.

The more you choose to pay in excess, the lower your policy premium—the cost of your policy—typically will be, while paying less in excess will raise the cost. An excess is usually deducted from a claim amount, so you won’t need to pay for it out of pocket. However, it’s still crucial that you make sure it’s affordable.

Can I buy a policy while I’m in Singapore?

India’s Zypp Electric tops this year’s list having achieved a 396 per cent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2019 to 2022. Another Indian company takes second place: BigHaat, an agritech business, with a 304 per cent CAGR. It is followed in third spot by the Singapore-based logistics and transportation company ISO Tank Management, which has a 286 per cent CAGR.

The minimum CAGR needed to qualify for this year’s ranking was 15.1 per cent, down from 16.3 per cent last year. Growth percentages have been rounded to one decimal place for the table, above, but are ranked according to three decimal places.

Singapore is the city with the most fast-growing companies in this year’s ranking, with 93, just ahead of Seoul with 90 and Tokyo with 71.

But, in country terms, South Korea is home to the most growth companies in the list: 123 in total. Japan and Singapore are close behind with 101 and 93 companies, respectively. India is in fourth place with 71 companies making the cut.

The IT and software sector accounts for 30 per cent of companies in the ranking this year. The next most represented industry is fintech, financial services and insurance, which accounts for 8 per cent.

However, the ranking is not comprehensive as many fast-growing companies are privately held and do not make public any detailed financial information, while others do not wish to disclose their revenue figures, or choose not to take part for various reasons.

Of those that did share — and certify — their revenues, the 500 fastest-growing are listed in the table.

Methodology

High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific 2024 is a list of 500 companies in the region that achieved the highest percentage growth in revenues between 2019 and 2022.

Application phase

The project was advertised online and in print, allowing all eligible companies to register via websites created by Statista and the Financial Times.

In addition, through research in company databases and other public sources, Statista identified tens of thousands of companies in Asia-Pacific as potential candidates for the ranking. These companies were invited to participate in the ranking by post and email.

The application phase ran from June to October 2023. The submitted revenue figures had to be certified by the company’s chief financial officer, chief executive, or a member of its executive committee.

Criteria for inclusion

To be included in the list of fast-growing companies in the Asia-Pacific region, a company had to meet the following criteria:

Revenue of at least $100,000 generated in 2019 (or currency value equivalent as of 2019);

Revenue of at least $1mn generated in 2022 (or currency value equivalent as of 2022);

Revenue growth between 2019 and 2022 that was primarily organic (ie, “internally” generated);

An independent company (not a subsidiary or branch office of any kind);

Headquartered in one of these 13 territories in the Asia-Pacific region: Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Calculation of growth rates

The calculation of growth rates is based on the revenue figures submitted by the companies in their respective national currencies. For better comparability in the ranking, the revenues were converted into US dollars.

The annual average exchange rates in 2019 and 2022, respectively, were used for this purpose. The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) was calculated as follows: (revenue2022 / revenue2019 )^(1/3)) — 1 = CAGR.

Evaluation and quality assurance

All data reported by the companies was processed and checked by Statista. Missing data entries (employee numbers, address data, etc) were researched in detail. Companies that did not fulfil the criteria for inclusion in the ranking were deleted. The minimum average annual growth rate required to be included in the ranking this year was 15.12 per cent.

The ranking was created through a complex procedure. Although the search was extensive, the ranking does not claim to be complete, as some companies did not want to make their revenue figures public or did not participate for other reasons.

Baltimore bridge collapse wasn't first major accident for giant container ship Dali

Propulsion failed on the cargo ship that struck the Francis Key Bridge in Baltimore early Tuesday as it was leaving port, causing it to collapse into the frigid Patapsco River. Its crew warned Maryland officials of a possible collision because they had lost control.

“The vessel notified MD Department of Transportation (MDOT) that they had lost control of the vessel” and a collision with the bridge “was possible,” according to an unclassified Department of Homeland Security report. “The vessel struck the bridge causing a complete collapse.”

An official speaking on condition of anonymity confirmed to USA TODAY that the DHS’ Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is working with federal, state, and local officials “to understand the potential impacts of this morning’s collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge.”

Clay Diamond, executive director, American Pilots’ Association, told USA TODAY power issues are not unusual on cargo ships, which are so large they cannot easily course correct.

“It’s likely that virtually every pilot in the country has experienced a power loss of some kind (but) it generally is momentary,” Diamond said. “This was a complete blackout of all the power on the ship, so that’s unusual. Of course this happened at the worst possible location.” 

The ship in Tuesday's crash, Dali, was involved in at least one prior accident when it collided with a shipping pier in Belgium.

That 2016 incident occurred as the Dali was leaving port in Antwerp and struck a loading pier made of stone, causing damage to the ship’s stern, according to VesselFinder.com, a site that tracks ships across the world. An investigation determined a mistake made by the ship’s master and pilot was to blame.

No one was injured in that crash, although the ship required repair and a full inspection before being returned to service. The pier – or berth – was also seriously damaged and had to be closed.

VesselFinder reports that the Dali was chartered by Maersk, the same company chartering it during the Baltimore harbor incident.

The 9-year-old container ship had passed previous inspections during its time at sea, but during one such inspection in June at the Port of San Antonio in Chile, officials discovered a deficiency with its "propulsion and auxiliary machinery (gauges, thermometers, etc)," according to the Tokyo MOU, an intergovernmental maritime authority in the Asia-Pacific region.

The report provided no other information about the deficiency except to note that it was not serious enough to remove the ship from service.

Why did Dali crash into the Baltimore bridge?

Officials said Tuesday they’re investigating the collision, including whether systems on board lost electricity early Tuesday morning, which could be related to mechanical failure, according to a U.S. official who was not authorized to speak publicly.

Accidents at sea, known as marine casualties, are not uncommon, the source told USA TODAY. However, “allisions,” in which a moving object strikes a stationary one with catastrophic results, are far less common. The investigation of the power loss aboard the Dali, a Singapore-flagged vessel, will be a high priority.

In a video posted to social media, lights on the Dali shut off, then turned back on, then shut off again before the ship struck a support pier on the bridge.

Numerous cargo and cruise ships have lost power over the years.

The International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea requires all international vessels to have two independent sources of electricity, both of which should be able to maintain the ship's seaworthiness on their own, according to a safety study about power failures on ships , citing the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea.

The Dali's emergency generator was likely responsible for the lights coming back on after the initial blackout, Diamond said.

“There was still some steerage left when they initially lost power,” he said. “We’ve been told the ship never recovered propulsion. The emergency generator is a diesel itself – so if you light off the generator, that’s also going to put off a puff of exhaust.”

Under maritime law, all foreign flagged vessels must be piloted into state ports by a state licensed pilot so the Dali's pilot is licensed by Association of Maryland Pilots .

Diamond described the incident based on information from the Maryland agency that licensed the pilot aboard the ship. His organization represents that group and all other state piloting agencies in the US.

“The pilot was directing navigation of the ship as it happened,” he said. “He asked the captain to get the engines back online. They weren’t able to do that, so the pilot took all the action he could. He tried to steer, to keep the ship in the channel. He also dropped the ship’s anchor to slow the ship and guide the direction.

“Neither one was enough. The ship never did regain its engine power.”

How big is the Dali ship?

The Dali is a 984-foot container vessel built in 2015 by Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea. With a cruising speed of about 22 knots – roughly 25 mph. It has traveled the world carrying goods from port to port.

The ship, constructed of high-strength steel, has one engine and one propeller, according to MarineTraffic.com.

The Dali arrived in Baltimore on Sunday from the Port of Norfolk in Virginia. Before that, it had been in New York and came through the Panama Canal.

It remains at the scene of the collapse as authorities investigate.

Who owns and operates the Dali?

It is owned by the Singapore-based Grace Ocean Pte Ltd but managed by Synergy Marine Group, also based in Singapore. It was carrying Maersk customers’ cargo, according to a statement from the shipping company.

“We are deeply concerned by this incident and are closely monitoring the situation,” Maersk said in the statement. 

Synergy, which describes itself as a leading ship manager with more than 600 vessels under its guidance, issued a statement on its website acknowledging the incident and reporting no injuries among its crew and no pollution in the water. There were two pilots on board and 22 crew members in all, according to Synergy, all of them from India.

USA TODAY reached out to Synergy on Tuesday, but the company did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

At the time, Air France said that La Premiere would be the longest on the market, offering up to three modular configurations that can be fully privatized, including transforming the seat into a sofa or a bed. Furthermore, the carrier promised that it would appear on more aircraft than previously.

Benjamin Smith, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Air France, said that La Premiere represents the best of French excellence and is a vital part of the airline’s DNA. The executive noted that even at the peak of the pandemic, the airline saw the importance of a first class cabin, especially on routes across the Atlantic Ocean.

While Lufthansa teased the new designs of its first class cabins in October 2022, the German airline officially introduced the new Allegris cabins, including new first class seats, in February 2023. At the time, Lufthansa said the new Allegris seats would be introduced with its latest Airbus A350-900 aircraft in 2024. However, two of its most recent Airbus A350-900 aircraft were straight sent to the desert, reportedly because supply chain issues derailed the airline’s plans to introduce the new cabins on the two aircraft, which is why they are now parked at Teruel Airport (TEV), Spain.
