As West Midland Safari Park opens up late for the whole of August, discover the perfect way to enjoy the lazy, hazy days of summer.
Come face-to-face with over 1,700 animal encounters and take advantage of extended admission times and even later night rides. This is a marvellous opportunity to visit West Midland Safari Park during the long school holidays, when visitors will have the chance to go on an amazing four-mile safari up to 7pm and see some brilliant animals, from cheetahs to tigers and baby elephants to giraffes! There are plenty of other baby animals around too – how many will you spot? There’s also the chance to visit the African Village, Meerkat Mayhem and Walking with Lemurs, not forgetting Penguin Cove in Discovery Trail and the all-weather facilities that include Lorikeet Landing, Creepy Crawlies, Seaquarium, Twilight Cave and Mark O’Shea’s Reptile World. Don’t forget the Sea Lion Shows, performed throughout the daytime and each evening from the Sea Lion Theatre arena.

…includes access to West Midlands Safari Park’s four-mile Drive-through, the walk-through exhibits and Adventure Theme Park*.

Example Arrival Day Itinerary
10.00am – Arrive at the Safari Park and head to the Lodges Reception to collect your Safari Drive-through entry ticket and Ride Wristbands* and be advised of your check-in time.
You can either visit our walk-through areas first, or head straight out on the four-mile Safari Drive-through. Please ensure you check the last entry to the Safari Drive-through here , as on some off-peak days it closes at 12.30pm.
Afternoon – If you have finished using your vehicle for the day, park your car in our designated Lodges parking area . Your exact check-in time to your Lodge will be allocated when you are at the Park and is usually around 2.00pm. You can check into your Lod ge as soon as it’s ready or enjoy the rest of the walk-through areas and Theme Park Rides* at your leisure.

Evening – Your evening meal will already be ready for you in separate jars in your Lodge fridge, for you to heat and enjoy at a time that suits you.
Example Departure Day
Watch our wildlife wake up right outside your window as you enjoy an in-lodge dining breakfast.
10.00am – Check out of your Lodge and we invite you to join us at our special training preview show with our sea lions at 10:15am. You are then free to enjoy the Park at your leisure for a second day! Use your multi-ride wristbands in our Adventure Theme Park* and check out our walk-through animal exhibits such as Tiger Tropics, Hippo Lakes, Lion Ridge or Lemur Woods!
If you didn’t get a chance to do the Safari Drive-through on your arrival day, you are welcome to do this, or do it again if you enjoyed it the first time!
* Theme Park rides are open during the summer season only . Generally from mid-February to end of October. Please see wmsp.co.uk for exact dates.

West midland safari park is a great day out for the family, there are a variety of activities and something to suit everyone. The animals were easily accessible and we saw everything. My son was especially happy when the Zebra stuck it's head through the car window. We also took in the sea lion show and paid the extra for the funfair rides.
