Experiencia inolvidable

I left my heart in Oaxaca!!!

Being from Hawaii, we are the embodiment of the Aloha spirit. Aloha is all encompassing and a “Feeling” you get that is inexplainable. In Oaxaca, I felt that! I truly felt it. Thanks to Alex, we really were able to experience just why the people of Oaxaca love their home so much. Alex was very knowledgeable about his homelands history, culinary traditions as well as the awe inspiring landmarks and artisans. We will most definitely be back to visit. I had an amazing time. Thank you Alex, you are a Gem 💎!

Wonderful experience with Alex

Alex gave us a wonderful experience of just a few of the villages outside Oaxaca! His knowledge of the culture of its people was enlightening. We visited a marvelous alebrije studio, an inspirational red clay potter and of course a studio of barro negro. We will definitely book with Alex again!!

Best chofer/taxi service

We used their services for the whole trip and they’re great. They even took us to puerto escondido. 100% recommend.

Great time in Oaxaca

Luis and his team drove us to great places in Oaxaca City and the surrounding área.

We visited artisan workshops and great out of the way restaurants.

We chose not to visit arqueológical sites because We did not have enough time…

Luis and his team know alot about the place and culture and they shared with u s openly…

They are very safe drivers…

Luis.and his team made a memorable triple even better!!!

Muy profesionales, super buen guia!! Carlos y Cesar son super serviciales!!!! Nos lo han contado todo fenomenal y nos han aclarado todas las dudas. GRACIAS!!!! Repetiremos!!!!!

Unforgettable experiences

Alex was so knowledgeable and clearly enjoys his job. He speaks perfect English, which my parents appreciated as they aren’t fluent Spanish speakers. He had an answer for every question and was eager to share all of the magic of Oaxaca with our group. He was flexible with our plans as we had several small children with us, and was able to deliver on the experiences we didn’t want to miss, while still appeasing all of the age groups we had on board! We got his contact for the next time we’re in Oaxaca- can’t wait to get back! Highly recommend 🙂

Great trip to Oaxaca

Perfect day, Adolfo did a great job in helping me find new treasures for the home!

Had a great time with Ismael

Ismael was professional, polite and made our stay in oaxaca something that we will never forget.

Thank you Ismael and hope to see you soon

Alex was amazing - WOW!!!

We booked Alex Alex for a tour of Hierve El Agua, Mitla, El Tule, and Monte Alban and we learned all about the culture and ancient history of the Zapotecs. The tour included stops to learn how fabric is made, dyed, and woven, and the art of making mezcal. Alex was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. I highly recommend Alex and would definitely book him again. Gracias Alex!!

Excelente servicio

Excelente servicio Ismael y Adolfo, muy puntuales y serviciales!

Recomendado 100%

Amazing day

Ismael picked us on time !!! The van was supreme , super clean , super comfortable . We went to hierve el agua and the day was perfect !!! Ismael is also a super good driver !!!!

Exploring Pottery with Edgar

We had a delightful time visiting many pottery shops and villages with our guide Edgar. He was knowledgeable about where to find my particular items I was looking for. Edgar was really fun to spend time with and both my daughter and I will book him in the future.

Absolutely wonderful experience!

Alex was our guide and driver for 4 days in the Oaxaca City area, and he could not have been any better. He was always punctual, is an excellent driver, and was super responsive to messages, but he was so much more – he is exceptionally well-informed and knowledgable about the area, history, and culture ; he is generous in sharing; he pays close attention to what you’re interested in; he’s flexible and responsive; and he’s kind and considerate. He took us a few spots that were off the beaten path, which were really special. Also, his English is outstanding. We’ve traveled all over the world and had many guides, and Alex stands out as exceptional. Our trip was so much more meaningful because of the role that Alex played. We had friends who had been in Oaxaca who recommended Alex, (who had also had a great experience with him) and we’re so glad we took their advice. We can’t wait to return to Oaxaca and we’ll definitely be asking Alex to guide us.

Amazing Day!

Ismael was a wonderful guide. We saw a ton of sites (Hierve el Agua, Mitla, and more) got to try his favorite Barbacoa at a local market, and learned a lot from him as we traveled around. Thanks for everything – would defiiitely recommend this to everyone visiting Oaxaca!

Perfect! All the best!

Kind, professional, punctual. Very positive experience

Fantastic City tour with Apolo

This morning I did a fantastic City tour with Apolo. He was able to give me incredible historic insights into the city. We saw the cathedrals and we visited two museums. He was super friendly, and his English is fantastic.

Ismael is the best!

Ismael provided my wife and me with an excellent experience during our stay in Oaxaca.

He was friendly, knowledgeable and went out of his way to look after us while touring us around the beautiful sites.

If you want a tailored and truly local insight into the history and culture of the city and surrounding area , Ismael is your man! He felt more like a friend than a guide by the end of our day together.

This was a true highlight of our honeymoon. Muchos gracias Ismael!!

Experiencia Inolvidable

Fantastic Experience to Mitlan and Hierve El Agua with Alex!

A fantastic day seeing the sights Oaxaca has to offer with Alex. Very knowledgeable, punctual, fun and keen to help you in anyway he can. I highly recommend using Wow Oaxaca!

The best experience!

We had such a lovely time seeing Hierve el Agua and Mitla with Alex! He is extremely knowledgeable and fun to be around. The tour was both educational and fun— I learned a lot and tasted multiple types of mezcal before 10 am!! I’d recommend this tour company to anyone visiting Oaxaca.

Ismael is now our good friend! We trust him to show us a wonderful time and keep us safe.

Ismael is very intuitive! He asked us where we wanted to go and derived our aesthetics and quality level through conversation during the drive. His knowledge of the cultural, the art and artists practicing authentic and cultural significant works was exceptional. He didn’t always take us to the most famous workshops but rather the studio doing the most exciting, ethically responsible, and skillful artists… and reasonably priced. We did a lot of damage. He was amenable to our whim and make alternative plans… always enthusiastically.

Oh and his knowledge of insanely delicious restaurants always ended our joyous trip.

Excellent Service to and around Oaxaca and Beyond

We have used Luis’s services for nearly four years. He, Ismael, and the rest of the team are prompt, courteous, and most importantly, excellent drivers. They recommend terrific off-the-beaten-path tallers and restaurants, and are accommodating with requests. When we want our guests to have a good experience here, we call Luis!

A lot of fun!

Ismael was very friendly and accommodating, and helped us decide whatever we needed to based on our choices. Conversation with him was fun as we drove to the different places in the tour. He even translated for us at the textile workshop as we were waiting for the translator to come!

Unique culture

Wonderful experience, first time in Oaxaca.

Not only was Ismael knowledgable in touring us, but also lovely and prompt in response, making communication and planning an ease. Ismael is an superb guide for every adventure you might be looking for in Oaxaca

Every time my wife and I visit Oaxaca we always reach out to Ismael to see if he is available. He is more than just a tour guide, he has an abundance of knowledge, connections, and will go the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience. He has shown my wife and I around the amazing artwork, restaurants, pre-hispanic architecture, and many mezcalerias. On our most recent visit, he helped coordinate a full day tour for group of 40 people who came to Oaxaca for a wedding. He has a great attitude and sense of humor, I cannot recommend him enough!

ELO frontman Jeff Lynne rocks out on guitar.

For just a little while longer, Electric Light Orchestra remains a “Livin’ Thing.”

Jeff Lynne’s classical music-inspired classic rock group announced they’re embarking on a North American farewell tour from August through October.

The 27-concert trek, dubbed ‘The Over and Out Tour,’ swings into New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Monday, Sept. 16.

… it’s going to be out of this world!” the band shared on Instagram .

Prior to this upcoming jaunt, the Rock Hall of Fame inductees headlined a 2018 arena tour where they delivered hits their deep catalog which includes FM radio staples like “Don’t Let Me Down,” “Mr. Blue Sky,” “Telephone Line,” “Turn To Stone,” “Showdown” and many, many more.

For those who can’t wait to see Lynne and co. live one last time, you can grab tickets for all ‘Over and Tour’ shows as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, March 22, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

ELO tickets 2024

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found below.

ELO set list

On their 2018 tour, ELO dropped into NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Aug. 21.

According to Set List FM , here’s what the group took to the stage that night (including nods to Lynne’s stints in The Move and The Traveling Wilburys):

01.) “Standin’ in the Rain” 02.) “Evil Woman” 03.) “All Over the World” 04.) “Showdown” 05.) “Do Ya” (The Move cover) 06.) “When I Was a Boy”

07.) “Livin’ Thing” 08.) “Handle With Care” (The Traveling Wilburys cover) 09.) “Rockaria!” 10.) “Can’t Get It Out of My Head” 11.) “10538 Overture” 12.) “Shine a Little Love” 13.) “Wild West Hero” 14.) “Sweet Talkin’ Woman” 15.) “Telephone Line” 16.) “Don’t Bring Me Down” 17.) “Turn to Stone” 18.) “Mr. Blue Sky”

19.) “Roll Over Beethoven” (Chuck Berry cover)

ELO new music

Although the group has regularly put out reissues and remasters of classic tracks in the 2020s — see “Vocoder,” “Ballads,” “ELO 50th Anniversary Vol. 1” and “ELO 50th Anniversary Vol. 1” — their last album comprised of wholly original music was 2019’s “Out Of Nowhere.”

The ten-track record sounds sharper than it has any right to; by our estimation, Lynne’s voice still hits the Beach Boys-level high notes with ease and the tight instrumentation is just as hook-y and danceable as the group’s catchy hits from their ’70s heyday.

If you’re trepidatious of revisiting one of your favorite groups, we recommend starting with the Beatles-esque “From Out Of Nowhere,” tropical “All My Love” and hard-rockin’ “One More Time.”

Make sure to save the upbeat, call and response bop “Time Of Our Life” for last. We promise, you’ll be dancing in no time.

Haven’t heard the record yet?

Check out Jeff Lynne’s ELO’s “Out Of Nowhere” here .

ELO band members

Although Lynne and pianist-keyboardist Richard Tandy have been going strong with ELO since the early 1970s, many of the other members from way back when have since left the band.

For a closer look, here’s who you’ll see when ELO plays at a venue near you this year:

Jeff Lynne (1970–86, 2000–01, 2014–) lead/backing vocals, guitar, piano, bass, drums, keyboards Richard Tandy (1972–86, 2000–01, 2014–16, 2024-) pianos, keyboards, backing vocals, guitar, bass Milton McDonald (2014-) guitar, backing vocals Mike Stevens (2014-) guitar, backing vocals Iain Hornal (2014-) backing and lead vocals, guitar, percussion Lee Pomeroy (2014-) bass, backing vocals Marcus Byrne (2014-) keyboards, piano Donovan Hepburn (2014-) drums Melanie Lewis-McDonald (2014) backing vocals, percussion Rosie Langley (2016-) violin Amy Langley (2016-) cello Jess Cox (2016-) cello Jo Webb (2017-) keyboards, acoustic guitar, backing vocals Steve Turner (2017-) keyboards

When I speak of Uzbekistan trip to my friends – All feel I am entranced and bowled over. Believe me, when I say Uzbekistan takes hold of your imagination and does not let go. My head is still full of it: the astounding mosques, Uzbeky Flat bread and the smiling faces exhibiting gold-capped teeth. Yet when people ask what Uzbekistan is like, the truthful answer is: I don't know where to start.

I spent more than a week in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva in the company of 18 Beautiful Woman, Wanderlust Buddies and an obliging, hard-working guide Anwar and his brother.

The old silk road leads beyond Bukhara. It took eight hours to drive, to Khiva, a 14th-century heritage site. It is like a stunning movie set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali !! It is ravishing (in every sense) 1830s harem, with seductive blue columns and intricate tiles. Limitless Cheers to the Golden Smiles of 18 girls and WOW Buddy on the Silk Route! When I look at my Suzani I know for sure I have left a piece of my heart in Uzbekistan.

My Uzbekistan trip was one of the best holidays of my life.

This holiday was full of hugs, kisses, and lots of dancing with random strangers who embraced my music, my culture and very sportingly danced away the nights with me. I haven't seen a more curious and kinder people.

The WOW Buddy - Anisha, was like a breath of fresh air. Seamlessly transitioning from a bubbly, young vivacious girl to a serious, sincere worker while arranging things for the upcoming events. Given the right support and direction, she will scale great heights. She has all my love and best wishes! :)

I'm eternally grateful to the WOW Club for this amazing opportunity with an almost impeccable itinerary that spanned across the snow-clad mountains to the deserts. There wasn't a day when I didn't thank God for this amazing opportunity. Khiva, in particular, was the most beautiful city that we stayed in. Please make it a permanent fixture in your itinerary. Right from the hotel selection to our transportation modes, everything was taken care of beautifully. My only suggestion would be to add the famous Ferghana Valley to the itinerary and increasing the duration by a day or two. Rest, everything was great! You're doing an amazing job!

Renata was a wonderful guide and the tour was very well organized.

Renata was a wonderful guide and the tour was very well organized. We saw places that we would never have heard about, let alone see and we're very glad we booked this tour. We saw three of the five towns: they're all amazing picturesque. Let me also thank the driver who drove carefully and patiently. Next time we're in Italy, we will look for other tours by City Wonders.

Irene was amazing... she was a magnificent tour guide, she is extremely knowledgeable, full of information, history and amusing anecdotes. She was very considerate of all the tour members and their needs and there was not 1 question she could not answer. She obviously loves Italy, its history and the Vatican... I have been inspired to learn more about its rich culture. Mille Grazie Irene!

Usher adds 10th and final London show to 2025 world tour

It comes after his performance at this year’s Super Bowl Halftime show

Usher performs onstage during the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show at Allegiant Stadium on February 11, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Usher has added one final London gig to his 2025 UK and European tour , meaning he will now play 10 shows in the city. Find ticket details below.

  • READ MORE: Ranking the 10 best Super Bowl halftime shows in history

It was last month when the R&B singer announced that he was set to embark on a world tour in support of his ninth album  ‘Coming Home’ , and he initially was scheduled to play three gigs at The O2 on April 1, 2 and 5.

Due to high demand, he later confirmed three extra London dates for April 6, 8 and 9 before adding a seventh concert for April 11 due to “incredible fan demand”. This was extended again earlier this month with further shows planned for May 6 and 7 .

Now, following a huge response from fans – and all nine dates selling out – the ‘Yeah!’ singer has confirmed that he will be rounding off the UK leg of the tour with yet another slot at the arena.

Marking his 10th and final show in the city for 2025, the new concert will precede the other nine dates, and will take place on March 29.

“Y’all not playing games,” Usher said of the announcement. “I’ve added a 10th and final show in London due to incredible demand – can’t wait to bring Usher: Past Present Future to The O2 on 29th March.” Tickets go on sale Friday (March 22) and will be available here . Additionally, you can access a fan pre-sale here from Wednesday (March 20).

Ahead of his UK and European dates, Usher is set to kick off the ‘Past Present Future’ tour with an extensive run of shows across North America – starting in Atlanta, Georgia on August 14, 2024.

The European shows will follow his first seven dates at The O2 and will see him headline arenas across Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin. Visit here for tickets to US and European shows.

Ahead of the tour, the R&B icon is set to perform his 2004 album ‘Confessions’ in its entirety at the Lovers And Friends Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada this May. All upcoming shows come on the heels of his huge 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show in Vegas last month, where he was joined on stage by Alicia Keys , H.E.R. , Will.i.am and more.

Following the set, Usher spoke out on why his friend and longtime collaborator Justin Bieber didn’t make a guest appearance at the event, saying: “I think that it’s a lot of pressure,” and it was reported that he made just $671 (£529)  from the show.

Welcome to Screen Gab, the newsletter for everyone who somehow held out this long before checking out the Eras tour. (Or is gearing up for yet another go-round.)

As pop music critic Mikael Wood writes in this week’s Catch Up, that’s because the concert movie about Taylor Swift’s career-spanning live show now is streaming on Disney+, nearly a year to the day after the tour kicked off in March 2023. Read more about its journey to the small screen below, plus find other viewing recommendations and a visit from one of the subjects of new docuseries “Photographer.”

“The Many Lives of Martha Stewart” (CNN, Max)

Produced by CNN and streaming on Max, the four-part docuseries “The Many Lives of Martha Stewart” accompanies the one-woman brand on her journey from model to stockbroker to caterer to lifestyle guru to Queen of All Media to jailbird to Snoop Dogg double act to octogenarian Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. Made without the participation of Stewart — whose voice is nevertheless heard throughout from a deep well of archival clips and interviews — or her ex-husband Andy Stewart — though with comment from plenty of business executives — it’s not a puff piece. Martha’s detour through the justice system takes up an entire episode and change, with her prison stint especially fascinating for being relatively unreported; Martha being Martha, she introduced herself to one sister inmate with a baked apple and somehow produced a flan for her goodbye party. (As Jon Stewart points out in a “Daily Show” clip, she went to jail not for insider trading but for lying about a crime she was never charged with.) Though it recognizes her as a polarizing figure — feminist? anti-feminist? plastic? for real? — this is all in all an admiring account of a widely beloved pioneer, the first female self-made billionaire. — Robert Lloyd

“Mean Girls” (Paramount+)

Though the original “Mean Girls” was a formative title of my millennial childhood, I am aware that a lot of it has aged like milk. Thankfully, the new version , now streaming, not only features the best musical numbers from the stage adaptation but also replaces the first film’s racist stereotypes and sizeism slander with updated punchlines and the overdue overhaul of Janis Ian . Tina Fey and Tim Meadows reprise their roles from the 2004 movie, alongside Jon Hamm, Busy Philipps, Jenna Fischer, Ashley Park and a crop of young Hollywood names. And by the end, I guarantee you’ll find yourself a fan of Reneé Rapp , who plays the enticingly evil Regina George. — Ashley Lee

Everything you need to know about the film or TV series everyone’s talking about

Taylor Swift, in a bedazzled leotard and matching boots, strides across the stage holding a microphone to her mouth

Taylor Swift’s Eras tour is starting to feel like it contains eras of its own. First it was the lavish, career-spanning road show she launched in early 2023; then it became the blockbuster concert film that bulldozed through movie theaters last fall. Just before Christmas, Swift made the movie available to rent on demand, and now “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” has finally arrived on streaming — specifically Disney+, where it landed late Thursday (for a reported $75-million payday), almost a year to the day after she played her first Eras gig in Arizona.

I was at there on the tour’s opening night and can clearly remember the anticipation rippling through a crowd that had no idea what Swift had put together; I was also at the movie’s premiere at the Grove , where Swift herself took in all 169 minutes as excitedly as one of her fans. The streaming version of the film, which of course Swift is calling “The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version),” boasts a handful of songs not in the theatrical cut and comes as the real-life Eras tour is on a brief hiatus between a series of just-completed Asian dates and a European leg that will extend through August. A weekly chat with actors, writers, directors and more about what they’re working on — and what they’re watching

A man films another man taking a photograph in a field

With photographs — well, one particular photograph — dominating the news cycle this week, and fears about artificial intelligence and deepfakes on the rise, National Geographic’s “Photographer” could hardly be better timed. Premiering Monday, and streaming the next day on Disney+, the six-part docuseries from “Nyad” filmmakers Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin profiles some of the defining image-makers of our time — including Dan Winters, whose work includes everything from presidential portraits to a six-year stint documenting NASA’s Artemis missions to land the first woman and first person of color on the moon. Winters stopped by Screen Gab recently to discuss the film frame he can’t shake, what he’s watching and more. — Matt Brennan

1. What have you watched recently that you are recommending to everyone you know? I’m a bit late to the party, however I really enjoy “How to With John Wilson” [Max]. I love the fluidity of each episode as they drift from topic to topic, person to person, and reveal strange truths.

2. What is your go-to “comfort watch,” movie or TV show you go back to again and again?

The original “Star Trek” [Paramount+]. I’ve seen each episode many times. I love being transported into that world. I used to watch the original series with my dad on Sundays as a kid. It’s my happy place.

3. Of the other photographers featured in the docuseries, whose work have you become a new fan of (or come to see in a different light) because of it?

The level of wonder in the work of Anand Varma is a profound example of what’s possible through photography. His scientist’s mind and obsessive focus has brought us into worlds heretofore unseen.

4. There’s now a subculture of appreciating single frames from movies and TV shows, from One Perfect Shot to “Succession.” So let me pick your photographer’s brain: What’s a single image from film or TV that you love, or is seared in your mind?

There are multitudes. This may be low-hanging fruit, but one that quickly comes to mind is the first shot of the twins at the end of the hall in “The Shining . ” It is a Diane Arbus reference and absolutely haunts me to this day.

The Top 12 Things to Do in Omsk

Feel the love in the very heart of Russia

In Russia, all roads lead to Moscow , on account of the city's status as the national capital and its importance throughout history. If geography were the deciding factor, however, the Siberian city of Omsk would be the point where all Russia's roads converge—it's located literally in the heart of the country, approximately as far from Vladivostok as it is from the Belarusian border. Omsk boasts a spate of exciting attractions, even if you simply make a stop here as you ride the Trans-Siberian Railway eastward or westward.

Marvel at Assumption Cathedral

Chelsea Hicks/Flickr/CC BY 2.0

Orthodox architecture never gets old, even if you've been traveling in Russia for a long time. This is particularly the case when it comes to the Assumption Cathedral of Omsk, whose gold-and-turquoise domes look resplendent under the blue skies that bless Omsk during the warmer months of the year. The cathedral was built in 1891 under the orders Nicholas, the last Tsar of Russia.

Time Travel at Omsk Fortress

Ogg-omsk/Wikimedia Commons/CC BY-SA 3.0

The bad news? Much of what was once Omsk Fortress is now a residential area, with the only notable landmark that still stands being Tobolsk Gate (think Paris' Arc de Triomphe , but yellow and smaller). The good news? There's essentially no reason for a military fortification to exist in today's peaceful Omsk, which means you can stroll amid parks and cafés and imagine the area being war-torn—a small sacrifice to make in exchange for not being blown to bits.

Go Green at Ptich'ya Gavan'

Forinrap/Wikimedia Commons/CC BY-SA 4.0

Or white, as it were: Omsk is covered with snow several months of the year, which means that its prized Ptich'ya Gavan' central park is often more of a winter wonderland than the green reprieve you experience in summer. The park is popular with local families, to whom you can say "Privet" (Hello) as you walk past.

Walk on Omsk's Artsy Side

G0rn/Wikimedia Commons/CC BY 3.0

Although the building that houses Omsk District Museum of Visual Arts is unmistakably Russian, the collection you find inside is surprisingly eclectic for a city deep in Russia's interior. Recent collections have included a revival of Van Gogh's great works, among others. This is a particularly enjoyable Omsk attraction on cold winter days, when temperatures can drop far below freezing and sunshine can be rare.

Shoot for the Moon

Worldwide Planetarium Database

Though Omsk is a relatively large city, the skies over it become dark enough in the evening for stargazing. While visitors are not permitted to use the expensive telescopes housed inside, exhibits inside the museum provide a fascinating look into the cosmos, narrated by expert astronomical guides.

Shop on Lenin Street

yykkaa/Getty Images

Lenin Street's name is appropriate: Although it's the high street of a city thousands of miles from Moscow, the European-style architecture and cosmopolitan vibe you feel as you stroll past its boutique and cafés evokes the capital of Russia more than its forlorn interior. Local specialties you can purchase here include rustic jams made from local berries (and even, in some shops, cedar cones), as well as handmade rugs from Kazakhstan, which sits just south of Omsk.

Sample Siberian Cuisine

Quynh Anh Nguyen/Getty Images

Speaking of unique Siberian food, it's not just preserves made from the fruits of evergreen trees. Omsk is a great place to discover the flavors of Russia's wild interior, whether you eat zagutai and stroganini (Siberia's take on sushi) or classic Russian plmeni dumplings filled with decidedly Siberian ingredients, such as bear and rabbit meat. Vkusno ! (That's Russian for "delicious"!)

Enjoy Historical Houses—While You Still Can

Simon Richmond/Getty Images

The wooden houses that line Nikolskiy Prospekt aren't protected, but they should be. Historical structures that are unfortunately in a state of disrepair, these houses are slated for demolition at some unspecific point in the future. Be sure to catch a glimpse of these historical house before they're gone. There will, however, be at least one left standing for a long time. The Omsk State Art Museum is in a traditional wooden house.

Go to the Circus

Vladislav Domnich/Getty Images

Omsk State Circus is a popular spot for local families, whose children love the opportunity to see acrobatic performances and animals that wouldn't otherwise make appearance in Siberia. If you do attend a show here, keep in mind that ethics with regard to animal treatment might not match up with those in North America or Western Europe, to say nothing of the smell that can pervade the auditorium during and even after a show.

Be a Drama Queen

While there's no guarantee that any shows will be playing at Omsk Drama Theater at the time of your trip, a visit to this 19th century building is a spectacle in and of itself. While not as huge, say, as Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre, it's nonetheless an ornate architectural wonder that hearkens back to a glorious time in history. The interior of the theater is even open during the daytime; ask the person who's inside if any tours are available when you turn up.

Explore Cities Deeper in Siberia

Tuul & Bruno Morandi/Getty Images

Siberia starts in Omsk, even if you can't continue far into it. If you don't plan to travel on the Trans-Siberian Railway, take one of two day trips from Omsk. Travel to Tobolsk, whose hilltop Kremlin is one of the most picturesque in all of Russia, and whose beauty inspired a photo by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev that ended up winning several awards. Or visit Tomsk, where you'll find a botanical garden dedicated to Siberian flora, and a museum that celebrates wooden architecture.

Ride the Trans-Siberian Railway

 lvinst/Getty Images

The idea of leaving Omsk behind can seem difficult, especially now that you've gotten to know this city in the heart of Siberia as well as you have. The mint-colored facade of Omsk Railway Station will make you smile, however, even if you're crying inside as you depart. Though it's not quite on the mid-line of the Trans-Siberian route between Moscow and Beijing , Omsk is a worthy starting place to begin a journey to either. If you head east make sure to stop in Irkutsk , the home of Lake Baikal and another underrated Siberian city.

From there, she'll return to North America to tour Canada and a few remaining US cities in the fall. If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tour tickets.

Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her recent Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Each show also features surprise songs and occasional guests, so fans never quite know what they're in for. Swift will release her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," in April, but it's unknown if any of those songs will make their way to the tour setlist.
