Easy simple and great price

Booking with Travel Republic you know that you will usually get the best price when booking hotels worldwide and they make it simple to book. Have booked with TR before and will definitely book with them again . Keep up the good work and competitive prices and I will continue to book with TR.

Perfectly organised and great value

Perfectly organised and all info supplied in timely manner. Can't think of anything to point out - maybe just to remind customers going to Egypt to have US Dollars ready for the Visa and some cash if they want fast track on arrival/departure at airport. (£17 or $20 pp each way, card is accepted on departure)

Fab website very easy to use

Fab website very easy to use booked a holiday with then in the Thursday to travel Saturday didn’t receive email confirmation so phoned up and a lovely conversation with a lady called Gemini I think who told me I had put wrong email. She rectified it and sent my confirmation through while I was on the phone

I don't normally leave reviews

I don't normally leave reviews, let alone 5 star reviews, but I had to for Travel Republic. We had a bit of a last minute panic with one of the kid's passports. Apparently you need an extra 5 or 6 months on the passport before travelling to Turkey and we'd only found this out a week before the flights. Clearly not enough time to get a new passport. After a few calls and emails to Travel Republic, they kindly sorted out getting the hotel reservation cancelled. They were super helpful and definitely won our trust. Good service like this needs to be recognised and appreciated. We certainly did both. Thank you!

Booked a 20th anniversary visit to the RIU Atoll in the Maldives. Everything went so smoothly. We were slightly nervous having travelled many times with the big name agents. Our concerns were unfounded. Couldn't fault the booking process, communication and, of course, the holiday itself. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend Travel Republic. We saved £1000 compared to an identical booking with a big name!

Booking Process Simple

Great website

Booked hotel accommodation and transfer. They keep you up to date. It was straight forward and a great price. Definitely would use again.

Great service

Great service. May have benefitted from direct reminder from BA re online check-in as we missed the chance to do this and the plane was overbooked which resulted in delay in boarding. Also advice to pre-book staff a treatments in hotel. Waited a while for transfer from airport to hotel but beautiful hotel and good trip.

Awful hotel experience in Tulum - no help from Travel Republic

Stayed in an awful hotel in Tulum, Mexico. Didn't have room for us the first night, so had to go stay in a different hotel. Then once we got there we experienced multiple problems/issues - smelly rooms which meant we had to move room again, key cards not working, leaking rooms. Contacted Travel Republic at the times of the issue, they said that they'd assist us and to contact their after care team when we got back, but when we did they did absolutely nothing and were absolutely no help. They said they got in contact with the supplier who denied everything that was happening. Really would not recommend booking through them in future.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Absolutely the worst company I have ever booked with! Took full payment from myself through PayPal then I received an email saying payment had been cancelled due to failed security! I immediately called them and I was put through to someone who gave me excuse after excuse why the booking was cancelled. He said in the end it was because their systems had matched my details to some kind of fraud and then continued to tell me I did not live at my address! He then began asking very strange questions like how long have I lived at address, which is none of your business! You're a holiday booking service not Mi5!! I feel like I have been treated this way due to your discriminatory security systems as you cannot give me any explanation which makes any sense. I raised a complaint but am still waiting for someone to get in touch

Really one of the most navigable websites ever. So easy to compare prices for a variety of dates and length of stay to come up with a bargain. Totally gave up on easyjet website a it was such a clunky slow nasty piece of IT. Jet 2 has a good one. Tui and the rest hard work!! Travel Republic I salute you

Very easy booking, and contacted to make sure I didn’t need any assistance, but weren’t pushy, just friendly and professional. If it seems to good to be true it probably is!

If only you had checked on Travel Republic before booking with them you could have avoided all those issues. There are thousands of complaints about Travel Republic all across Tripadvisor forums. It's too late now as you have experienced what they are like and now started yet another topic on them, but using the search box above the question on any forum and typing in Travel Republic and choosing "All Forums" to search would have brought up all the existing topics on them, full of complaints.

Even a quick Google search of a phrase like "Travel Republic Reviews" or "Travel Republic Complaints" would have resulted in many topics to read. Then they could have been avoided.

I do hope you will think about using TripAdvisor for its intended purpose, to research places, holiday destinations, and travel companies so you can organise the best holidays. Here's a link to the forums homepage for future use -

If you'd have read the terms and conditions instead of just agreeing to them you would have known and understood what you were offering to buy. Travel Republic are not unusual in the fact that most of what they sell are individual elements. It's the same for most OTAs. The clue that they're priced individually is the giveaway, even if you don't bother to read the T&Cs.

I'm afraid the earlier replies are correct. It's a common complaint, and it's not restricted to Travel Republic.

It really is vital to read all of the details, including the T&C's, and to look into any company before parting with any money. I really hope you will learn form this experience, and not get caught out again.

Just had a nightmare with our booking made through travel republic, only way to solve the issues were over the phone.

Over an hour on the phone at 42 pence per minute and still not resolved. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

Do they not have a cheaper method of contact? Did you check out 'Say to no to 0870' or whatever the site is called?

If its costing 42p a minute that's down to your service provider, not Travel Republic. They don't have Premium rate numbers.

I must admit ,I have booked several times with travel republic , and have never had a problem. Every thing has gone very smoothly. I do book transfers separately as it can sometimes be cheaper

Hospital carries out abortion on wrong woman in horror mix up

A woman was mistakenly sedated and given an abortion when she should have been having a routine check-up, it has been reported.

The healthy woman, who was four months pregnant, was anaesthetised and given a kind of uterus surgery called a curettage which led to her miscarrying.

It was intended for another woman, who was also scheduled on March 25 at the Bulovka Hospital in Prague , a major teaching hospital in the capital of Czech Republic.

Hospital spokeswoman Eva Stolejda Libigerová told CNN Prima : ‘An adverse event occurred at our Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic.

‘According to the findings so far, as a result of serious violations and non-compliance with internal regulations by the employees concerned, an operation was started on an incorrectly identified patient.’

The spokeswoman added to Prahain.cz , which broke the story: ‘We expressed our deep regret and apology to the patient and her entire family for this unfortunate event and assured her that we will do everything to mitigate the damage as much as possible and also compensate her.

‘As an accredited teaching hospital, we have clearly defined rules and procedures that our medical staff is obliged to follow without exception. The affected staff of the clinic is placed off duty pending a full evaluation of the adverse event, with the understanding that, in the event of a violation of binding work procedures as part of the current internal investigation, specific individuals will be held personally liable.’

Both women were reportedly foreign nationals of Asian heritage and did not speak Cezch well.

The procedure given, cutterage, can be used to induce a miscarriage or may also be unrelated to pregnancy such as due to health problems with the uterus.

Shadow Health Minister Kamal Farhan said that if misconduct is proven, the mother given the abortion should be compensated.

‘However, no one can replace the loss that the mother experienced with financial means,’ he added.

Jan Přáda, gynecologist and vice-chairman of the Czech Medical Chamber, told Czech newspaper  Seznam Zpravy that it was not only the doctor to blame but all staff involved.

‘The main problem is that she even got to the operating table,’ he said.

Theorising why the mistake happened, he said: ‘If she could not speak Czech or a known international language well, it could play a role. Translators are sometimes on the phone, which can also complicate communication.

‘This is not to say that doctors should not deal with it, just that the risk of misunderstanding increases.

‘A Czech-speaking patient would probably actively resist the fact that she is going to undergo a procedure that she does not understand’.

He said there should have been a process of checking ID and the procedure being undergone throughout the woman’s hospital stay.

Abortion in the Czech Republic is legal until 12 weeks for any reason, for medical reasons up to 24 weeks and at any point due to grave abnormalities with the fetus.

Perfectly organised and great value

Perfectly organised and all info supplied in timely manner. Can't think of anything to point out - maybe just to remind customers going to Egypt to have US Dollars ready for the Visa and some cash if they want fast track on arrival/departure at airport. (£17 or $20 pp each way, card is accepted on departure)

I don't normally leave reviews, let alone 5 star reviews, but I had to for Travel Republic. We had a bit of a last minute panic with one of the kid's passports. Apparently you need an extra 5 or 6 months on the passport before travelling to Turkey and we'd only found this out a week before the flights. Clearly not enough time to get a new passport. After a few calls and emails to Travel Republic, they kindly sorted out getting the hotel reservation cancelled. They were super helpful and definitely won our trust. Good service like this needs to be recognised and appreciated. We certainly did both. Thank you!

Booked a 20th anniversary visit to the RIU Atoll in the Maldives. Everything went so smoothly. We were slightly nervous having travelled many times with the big name agents. Our concerns were unfounded. Couldn't fault the booking process, communication and, of course, the holiday itself. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend Travel Republic. Great website

Booked hotel accommodation and transfer. They keep you up to date. It was straight forward and a great price. Definitely would use again.

Great service. May have benefitted from direct reminder from BA re online check-in as we missed the chance to do this and the plane was overbooked which resulted in delay in boarding. Also advice to pre-book staff a treatments in hotel. Waited a while for transfer from airport to hotel but beautiful hotel and good trip.

Awful hotel experience in Tulum - no help from Travel Republic

Stayed in an awful hotel in Tulum, Mexico. Didn't have room for us the first night, so had to go stay in a different hotel. Then once we got there we experienced multiple problems/issues - smelly rooms which meant we had to move room again, key cards not working, leaking rooms. Contacted Travel Republic at the times of the issue, they said that they'd assist us and to contact their after care team when we got back, but when we did they did absolutely nothing and were absolutely no help. They said they got in contact with the supplier who denied everything that was happening. Really would not recommend booking through them in future.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Absolutely the worst company I have ever booked with! Took full payment from myself through PayPal then I received an email saying payment had been cancelled due to failed security! I immediately called them and I was put through to someone who gave me excuse after excuse why the booking was cancelled. He said in the end it was because their systems had matched my details to some kind of fraud and then continued to tell me I did not live at my address! He then began asking very strange questions like how long have I lived at address, which is none of your business! You're a holiday booking service not Mi5!! I feel like I have been treated this way due to your discriminatory security systems as you cannot give me any explanation which makes any sense. I raised a complaint but am still waiting for someone to get in touch
