How to get tickets as the SECOND presale kicks off
Presale tickets for the hotly-anticipated comeback tour went on sale on Wednesday at 9am, with lucky fans who signed up to Busted's mailing list snapping them up.
But Busted announced on Thursday that a second batch of presale tickets were still available for eager fans who still wanted to get ahead of the game.
Taking to Twitter, they confirmed more tickets went on sale at 9am, writing: 'Psst.. For anyone who didn't get tickets yesterday and still wants to get ahead of the game, there are some tickets available now via venue pre sales here. Don't say we told you.'
This batch of tickets are for venue presale, meaning they are only available from venues that are participating in the presale event, including The O2 Arena, Cardiff International Arena and Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena.
However, it is not the last chance to grab tickets as fans who missed out will have their chance when the general sale kicks off at 9am on Friday, March 31.
What are the dates?
Busted will kick off their reunion tour in September at Pavilions in Plymouth, and will play shows in cities including Swansea, Bournemouth, Brighton, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester.
The band will also play a show at London's O2 Arena on September 10.
The final show will take place at Manchester's AO Arena on September 24.
When was the last Busted tour?
Busted last toured the UK in 2019 with their Half Way There tour, to promote their album of the same name.
Before that the band toured together in 2016 and 2017, their first shows together since they announced their split in 2005.
In 2013, Matt and James joined forces with McFly to perform the megaband McBusted, and performed four shows at London's Royal Albert Hall.
The group then went onto tour together in 2014, and released the single Air Guitar.
Busted have announced their recently announced 20th anniversary tour will be much better than the 'awkwardness' of their 2015 reunion.
Eight years ago, a decade after band member Charlie Simpson, now 37, announced he was leaving the pop-rock group, Busted reunited for a tour and a third album.
Last week, the trio - comprising Charlie, James Bourne, 39, and Matt Willis, also 39 - announced a they were to announce on 15-date run of celebratory gigs.
But they insist this time around things will be different after they weren't in the best place for their reunion in 2015.
Matt explained to the Mirror : 'I don't think Busted fans have had this from us yet. They haven't had a real celebration of Busted, if you're a Busted fan you're gonna wanna see this.'
Ready to hit the road: Busted have announced their recently announced 20th anniversary tour will be much better than the 'awkwardness' of their 2015 reunion (L-R: James Bourne, Charlie Simpson and Matt Willis)
Well oiled machine: They insist this time around things will be different after they weren't in the best place for their reunion in 2015 (pictured in 2004)
James continued: 'The whole Pigs Can Fly [tour] the whole moment was overshadowed by, "Oh they're doing it, they're getting back together."'
'The weirdness has gone, we've broken the ice," Charlie added before James chimed in: 'The awkwardness has gone and we get to come back for our 20th anniversary in the way we would like to do it.'
James continued: 'We were talking about doing it a certain way and I think we all agreed in the end that it was better to plan it properly, not rush it.
'That's why arguably we're a year late but I think it's better to be do it in the correct way, just a bit later.'
Busted had previously hinted at a possible comeback date to mark their 20th anniversary.
Posting a cryptic video to the band's Instagram page, the trio captioned the post: '23/03/23 #Busted20'.
The short clip sees a Busted cassette being put into an old TV. The screen then goes fuzzy and flashes to the band's logo.
The Busted account also changed their Twitter banner to a static noise background, overlayed by an outline of the band and the cryptic date.
There had plenty of rumours about the band's reunion, particularly after band member Charlie hinted it could be on the cards this year.
The rocker admitted while he is 'sworn to secrecy' about the project, there 'may be some plans' underway.
The pop punk trio first split in 2005, before reforming for an arena tour in the UK and Ireland in 2016 .
Charlie also appeared on both Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp, and ITV daytime show Lorraine to chat about his The Masked Singer win .
First, while on the radio, Charlie was asked if there were plans for a Busted anniversary tour or album, to which he admitted: 'Oh! It might be coming,' but swiftly added: 'If it was coming I would be sworn to secrecy again.'

The band also appeared to announce a new single, which will be releasing in April: “The Loser Kid 2.0 featuring our friends @simpleplan will be out on the 14 April.”

NEWS... BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
Busted announce return with massive UK arena tour and reworks of hit songs to celebrate more than 20 years since debut
Share this with
It’s official – Busted are back, and they’re bringing new songs and a massive UK tour with them.
The iconic three-piece ruled the airwaves in the early noughties with earworms including Year 3000, Air Hostess and What I Go To School For.
It’s somehow been more than 20 years since Busted – comprising vocalists Charlie Simpson, James Bourne and Matt Willis, all 39 – burst onto the scene, and they have something very special ahead to celebrate.
Fans had already become convinced the Who’s David stars had something major planned , with the official Busted social media pages updating their banners to include the date March 23.
Well, it is now March 23, and it has been revealed Busted are coming back for a massive 15-date UK arena tour, kicking off in September and with tickets going on sale next week.
The tour will see James, Charlie and Matt perform their biggest hits along with fan favourites (hello, Nerdy and 3am) with support from Mmmbop stars Hanson and New Hope Club.
That’s not all: the group are preparing to release no fewer than 15 songs.
Rather than brand new tracks, Busted have created reworks of some of their most iconic songs and will perform them alongside some other major names from the scene.
The first release is a new version of Loser Kid, from Busted’s debut album; the track will hit airwaves on April 14 and will feature pop rock stars Simple Plan.
Other upcoming singles will have special guests McFly, All Time Low and more, with names to be released at a later date.
Busted 20th anniversary tour dates
September 2 – Plymouth, Pavilions September 3 – Cardiff, International Arena September 5 – Swansea, Arena September 6 – Bournemouth, BIC September 7 – Brighton, Centre September 9 – Birmingham, Utilita Arena September 10 – London, The O2 September 12 – Bridlington, Spa September 15 – Nottingham, Motorpoint Arena September 16 – Newcastle, Utilita Arena September 17- Leeds, First Direct Arena September 19 – Aberdeen, P&J Live September 20 – Glasgow, OVO Hydro September 22 – Liverpool, M&S Bank Arena September 24 – Manchester, AO Arena
Tickets for the tour will go on general sale at 9am on March 31, however fans who sign up to Busted’s mailing list will receive access to a pre-sale from 9am on March 29.
Rumours of a comeback for the group have circulated since Fightstar musician Charlie hinted to Lorraine Kelly ‘ there may be some plans ’ for a reunion.
‘It is the 20 year anniversary for Busted this year,’ he added.
‘Sworn to secrecy again… but there may be some stuff in the pipeline.’
Busted were first formed in 2000 and released their first, self-titled album in 2002, before their 2003 album A Present For Everyone threw them into even wider fame.
Their split in 2005 devastated fans, with many remembering genuine tears in the playground the day the news was announced; all three went on to form solo careers or front new bands.
Busted returned – in a way – in 2013, when Matt and James teamed up with McFly for supergroup McBusted, and Charlie finally returned in 2015, completing the original lineup.

- Updated 11:34, 29 MAR 2023
Busted fans had a chance to get early access to tickets today for their huge 20th anniversary tour. The trio will be coming to Manchester's AO Arena later this year as part of a 15-date UK tour.
It’s been 20 years since Busted bounced into the charts with their debut single ‘What I Go To School For’. The tour will see the original much-loved trio - James Bourne, Charlie Simpson and Matt Willis - play their hits and fan-favourites this September.
The band have a loyal following and tickets are in high demand for the Manchester AO Arena date on Sunday, September 24. Busted will also be performing live in Cardiff, Birmingham, London, Nottingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle and more.
Today pre-sale tickets went live at 9am on Ticketek and many fans experienced large, online queues. There are number of other early-access options to choose from, all of which carry their own rules that fans will need to follow.
Fans who signed up to the email pre-sale here were able to get access to tickets today. However, those who hadn't were able to use the O2 Priority app or the Three+.
Customers with O2 mobile can get early access to gigs and events via the O2 Priority rewards app and similarly, Three Mobile customers can also get pre-sale access via the Three+ app . The both have Busted pre-sale launches going live at 9am today (March 29).
Ticketmaster and AXS will be available for general sale.
Follow our Busted live blog below for the latest pre-sale ticket updates and information about the tour. Please let us know how you get on in the comments below or email [email protected].

End of live blog - general sale info
I'm finishing up now all, happy Busted day!
General sale tickets will go live at 9am on Friday, March 31 via Ticketmaster and AXS
How are you getting on?
Have you managed to get the tickets you want yet?
Comment below or drop me an email via [email protected]
Stick with the ticket queues and there's still tickets left!
Fans are still managing to get tickets now at 10.30am, so it's worth sticking it out in the ticket queues this morning, try and be patient and do not refresh!
Prices confirmed for Busted
Tickets first went on sale just over an hour ago at 9am for fans looking to get early access, mainly customers with access to the Ticketek email sign up and O2 Priority and the Three+ app from Three Mobile. Despite thousands of fans joining Ticketek queues the prices have stayed relatively low considering the demand.
The cheapest tickets, 'Reserved Seating B' start at just £42.50, with the next 'Reserved Seating A' ticket options costing £53.75 upwards. The most expensive seating option is the 'Premium Seating' tickets which start at £65.
Ticketek drop down
A few fans have emailed me to ask how they buy more than one ticket.
I will admit Ticketek isn't very clear once you get through the queue. There should be a little drop down number tab so you can select the amount of tickets you want, next to the ticket you're choosing.
I missed it at first but you just need to scroll up.
Ticket update for Manchester AO Arena
It looks like there's still tickets left for the Manchester date.
The area's shaded in colour are what's left on the pre-sale tickets for September 24th. Ticket price info coming shortly.
Remember, there will be more tickets coming in the general sale on Friday, March 31st.
Well in Sophie!
O2 Priority back on
It looks like O2 Priority is back working so worth giving that a try now!
Some fans are now getting tickets
Just had a look and some of you are managing to get through the ticketing queues.
It looks like standing has nearly sold out at Manchester though.
Ticketek queues back open - TRY THIS LINK
I've just double checked the Ticketek queues and it looks like they are experiencing demand again through the email signup link .
TRY THIS LINK HERE.
Don't use Ticketmaster for pre-sale today, use Ticketek
Ticketmaster will host some pre-sale tickets today but you have to go through either the O2 Priority rewards app or the Three+ app .
If you go straight onto the Ticketmaster site you won't get tickets.
You either need to do it through the email sign up if you registered for early access with Ticketek or direct on the above apps.
There's no special code either.
My advice for tickets, don't try O2 Priority if you can help it
If you can help it, your best chance of getting early tickets here is through the email sign ups with Ticketek it looks like the queues has now recovered and they're sending people straight through.
Let me know if you experience anything different.
O2 Priority down
It looks like O2 Priority has given up all together now.
I've just logged onto my app and I'm getting an error message, a few others are too.
I've got tickets!
I've just gone back to my emails and thanks to a fan's suggestion, followed the link on the latest pre-sale email and it put me through straight away on Ticketek !
O2 Priority update
I've logged into my O2 Priority rewards app and it's saying the queue has paused and there's a wait time of 6 minutes!
Busted fans reporting tickets have sold out already
I'm seeing on Twitter from some fans that tickets are sold out already.
Surely not?!
The stress is real right now.
At the moment I am in the Ticketek queue. Has anyone else managed to get through yet?
Ticketek queues
Looks like Ticketek is getting overwhelming response right now
I've just put all my details in and it has crashed me out
Tickets are NOW LIVE
Go, go, go!
If you've got access to pre-sale tickets you can now get them via Ticketmaster , Ticketek and AXS .
10 minutes to go
There's just 10 minutes to go before pre-sale tickets go on sale. Here's the official announcement video in case you've not seen it or want to get excited all over again!
Ticket tips - how to make sure you get the tickets you want
Whether you're getting tickets today through the email sign up from Ticketek , Ticketmaster , AXS , the O2 Priority rewards app or the Three+ app , these tips below will give you better odds of getting the tickets you want.
- Make an account - creating an account, or digging out your username and password can stop potential delays when trying to join the sale queue. Create an account, add all your personal details including your home address before tickets go live.
- Payment at the ready - update your billing information on your account to ensure you have the correct card to buy the tickets. This is always good to check, especially if you don't buy tickets often, your account could have an expired card logged.
- The 20 minute rule - log on with plenty of time before the tickets go on sale, a chance to select the right dates and open other venue dates just in case your ideal arena sells-out.
- More devices are better - you can log onto whichever ticket service you are using above and try joining the queue on more than one device. So once the queue opens you can keep your options open as to whatever device is further ahead.
- Know when to refresh - When it comes to refreshing the webpage, the exact timing can make the difference between getting to the front or back of the queue. It's a useful thing to do before the queue opens as you wait to click into the line, but whatever you do do not refresh once you have joined the online queue as this will boot you to the very back.

Busted’s many successes spread far beyond the singles charts. Three of their four studio albums also peaked at #2, with 4.5 million sales leading to eight Platinum certifications as well as a total of 25 weeks in the Top 10 and two 5x Platinum selling albums. They have won two BRIT Awards - Best Pop Act and Best British Breakthrough - while multiple sold-out arena tours have seen them sell more than 2 million tickets.
Busted’s 20th anniversary tour follows Charlie Simpson’s recent triumph as the winner of 2023’s ’The Masked Singer’, adding to his other projects which have included four solo albums and four albums with the rock band Fightstar. James Bourne is a renowned songwriter, with credits including McFly, The Jonas Brothers, 5 Seconds of Summer and The Vamps, as well as his band Son of Dork and two recent solo albums ‘Safe Journey Home’ (2020) and ‘Sugar Beach’ (2022). After releasing his debut solo album, Matt Willis famously won ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ leading to a successful television career as well as acting roles which have included the recent West End hit ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’.
