Guy Sebastian to celebrate his mega-hit two-decade career with a special Sydney concert

Presented by kiis 1065 xx double decade celebration - 2023's only live show sunday 10th december sydney opera house forecourt.

GUY XX 1080x1080

Guy Sebastian returns to the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on Sunday 10 th December 2023 for his only live show of the year celebrating with his loyal fans 20 years since he was crowned Australia’s very first Australian Idol. It was in this very same venue, on 19 th November, 200 3 where Australia crowned him the winner.

General public tickets go on sale on Monday, September 25 at 10am.

A Live Nation pre-sale commences on Friday, September 22 at 10am, running until Monday, September 25 at 9am.  ( All times are local).

This bespoke concert under the stars will see Guy delve into his vast array of hits and fan favourites from across his stunning 20-year career. Fans from all generations will enjoy some nostalgic one-off reprises of songs that Guy performed during his Idol journey right up to his smash debut single ‘Angels Brought Me Here.’ Songs like, ‘Who’s that Girl’, the iconic global smash ‘Battlescars’, ‘Before I Go’, ARIA Song of the Year – ‘Choir ‘…  to his stellar new single, ‘I Chose Good’ and a preview of new upcoming tracks, this will be a once in a lifetime experience Guy’s fans won’t want to miss.

The singer, songwriter, music producer & Voice coach is acutely aware of the multi-generations of fans who have supported him across the years – from young fans experiencing their very first concert last year at his T. R. U. T. H. sell out national tour, to fans who have literally grown up with him across the years now with families & kids of their own.

“I wasn’t going to tour until more new music was out,” Guy expresses. “I have really had so much to be thankful for though, so it would be a shame to not celebrate this moment with a lot of the fans who gave me this opportunity all those years ago. Twenty years ago when I was standing on the very same steps at the Opera House, I couldn’t of imagined that I would be back here still doing what I love, so come celebrate with me!”

Guy Sebastian is one of Australia’s most successful singer/songwriter/producers and multi-season coach on The Voice . First appearing on television screens in 2003, Australia fell in love with the young man from Adelaide that wowed the judges on the very first season of Australian Idol . Since then Australia has taken Guy into their hearts as they have witnessed his music career go from strength to strength. From his very first single Angels Brought Me Here - the highest-selling single in 2003 and still holds the record for fastest-selling single in ARIA chart history – through to chart toppers, including Like It Like That, Who’s That Girl, Battle Scars, Choir and many more, Guy Sebastian has dominated music platforms with his infectious pop songs and earnest ballads, and established himself as one of the most successful and enduring Australian artists of the last 20 years.

Guy Sebastian is the only Australian male to boast six #1 singles in ARIA chart history and sold well over 7 million combined units worldwide, has over 1 billion streams world-wide while attaining 82 Platinum certifications across his career. He has been nominated and won numerous awards including ARIAs, APRAs, Australian MTV Awards and many more. Sebastian is also a member of an elite group of Australian artists who have achieved Platinum sales in the U.S. courtesy of 'Battle Scars' (2012), his global hit with Lupe Fiasco.

Guys career trajectory continues to climb as each year passes. His new single I CHOOSE GOOD is out now  - with more exciting music announces to come!

Guy Sebastian will open for Taylor Swift on her stadium tour of Australia

GUY Sebastian has told of how "stoked" he is to be opening for Taylor Swift on her stadium tour of Australia.

GUY Sebastian will open for Taylor Swift on her stadium tour of Australia.

"I'm stoked to play with someone who is so popular and is going to fill massive stadiums because she has such a loyal fanbase," Sebastian said. "It's going to be a whole new demographic for me. Taylor's fans really love her and it'll be nice to perform for them. She's a huge force to be reckoned with, people have to remember she's an amazing songwriter as well as a performer." Sebastian will join Swift at Sydney's Allianz Stadium on December 4, Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium December 7, Perth's NIB Stadium December 11 and Melbourne's Etihad Stadium on December 14. An opening act to play before Sebastian is also set to be announced. Swift's pre-sales have been incredibly strong this week, with the general tickets going on sale next Tuesday. Sebastian is about to head to the US to continue to promote his Australian No.1 Battle Scars, a duet with US rapper Lupe Fiasco. The song has been getting major radio play in LA and is hovering around the bottom of the Billboard Top 100, peaking at No.71 so far. "Last month it had its biggest week of sales yet and it's still getting smashed on radio over there," Sebastian said. "Songs last forever in America. Here you promote a song and move onto the next one. We've been working Battle Scars for months and months in the US. The record label said June will be its marketing and radio peak and that seems to be the case. Hopefully the song will open some doors for me over there and I can release my album in America."

Taylor Swift's biggest hits below.

Fans of a popular Byron Bay festival have been targeted by scammers promising replays and live streams, with official organisers now intervening.

A major, long-running festival has been scrapped, with the founder revealing “the spell has worn off”.

An Aussie singer has shared a video of the “brutal” response she received when she was given a few seconds to showcase her talent to a record label executive.

Australia: Guy Sebastian announces his Conscious Tour

by Stratos Agadellis September 4, 2017 8:29 pm 699 views

As the summer season is about to begin down under, the first Australian Eurovision representative Guy Sebastian will be giving a series of concerts around his homeland in November. This is what we found out today, after a post on his official Facebook account, displaying the schedule of his upcoming Conscious Tour.

Guy Sebastian at Eurovision

After the invitation of the EBU to the Australian national broadcaster SBS to participate for the very first time in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, the broadcaster internally selected the Malaysian-born pop singer Guy Sebastian to represent them in the contest with the song Tonight again .

As a special guest, Australia would automatically participate in the Grand Final. The country made a very successful debut, achieving a 5th place with 196 points. Afterwards and although Australia’s participation had been considered to be a on-off event, the country’s participation triggered further participations and remains to this day a member of the Eurovision family.

Here’s Guy Sebastian’s performance at the Wiener Stadthalle in 2015:

Australia: Guy Sebastian announces Madness European tour

guy sebastian tour australia

Back in May, as well as finishing in fifth place with “Tonight Again” , Guy Sebastian found himself with a European fanbase. And he hasn’t forgotten his new fans, announcing a seven-city European tour in late August/early September.

The Madness European Tour 2015 will visit Norway, Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands, including four cities in Germany. These are all countries who gave high points to Australia (including Sweden’s douze points ), and “Tonight Again” charted in Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden. In fact, the Swedish love for Guy is so strong that “Tonight Again” has not left the Swedish iTunes chart and is currently sitting very comfortably at No.36.

This won’t be the first time since Eurovision that Guy has returned to Europe. In June, he  made a visit to Norway where he performed at VG Lista’s annual summer concert, followed by an intimate acoustic set in Oslo. But his upcoming tour will be the first time that Guy will give Europe the full Madness Tour experience.

And guess what? wiwibloggs wants you to hear Guy live, so we are giving away two free tickets in each city. In addition to the tickets, you’ll also get to meet him briefly before the concert. ENTER NOW .

Mario

You can dislike or hate me but to call me just a troll is just too much.. I say that you are mean nasty haters & both of you can go and f**k off..

Slightly Biased ESC Fan

LOL I see that the troll’s verbal diarrhea ridden comment has been deleted, and rightfully so. Ain’t nobody got time for you boy

Atte,Fin

so shame that he dont come to eurovision cruise from HELSINKI to TALLINN 5.9 🙁

mawnck

Don’t feed the troll, guys.

#MarioVision

Well i have the right to express my opinion about him… And no i won’t ignore the article of course.. Not only positive feedback are written 4 anyone but also negative ones.. Im seeing all the time others writing negative things about my own favorite acts…But i do not go to jumb the gun on them though..

Well even if he is really big star there in Australia personally i find him YEAH just a wannabe non real star..

MA

Actually Mario, Guy got 2 sets of 12 points! 1 from Sweden and 1 from Austria! Thanks guys!

Also Guy is a pretty big star not a “wannabe star” And if he repulses you so much, which is fine that’s your opinion, why don’t you just keep scrolling and ignore the article? Maybe you do actually care about him. Care about him enough to write an unnecessarily long comment

I knew that my comment would might cause negative replies from users that favor Guy Sebastian instead.. Well i can’t help it that i actually keep a rather negative opinion about him.. And NO its not a racist thing at all.. I did not swear him…I just expressed my opinion that i find him obnoxious & non sympathetic.. I certainly do not feel any bad about my first comment though..

And by the way, if someone goes & writes insults about gays no its NOT the same thing as this makes him homophobic truly racist person..

Bronson

Mario please, when you complain nobody bats an eye, but as soon as someone says something negative about gays you go batshit crazy. You may have not liked Guy Sebastian, but at least give him some respect.

Carter

Thanks Wikiblogs- I think Guy Sebastian is a phenomenal artist!

Europe will love him!

I can tell someone’s clearly mad in these comments…… so much so that they feel the need to go off on a pathetic, incoherent rant about someone who they claim to hate, LMAO!

Anyway, that being said, I’m extremely happy for Guy’s success (been a fan since his Australian Idol days!) and that Europe, as well as other parts of the world, got to see real talent for once on the Eurovision stage. 🙂

Callum Nowacki

We gave him 10 points! Where’s our tour date?

But nonetheless, glad Europe isn’t behind Guy. Great song, great singer, great performance.
