About Gracie Abrams

Since making her debut with “Mean It” in October 2019, Gracie Abrams has emerged as one of the most compelling songwriters of her generation.  She is a consummate songwriter who names iconic figures like Joni Mitchell and Taylor Swift as her most formative influences.

With the arrival of her debut project  minor  in summer 2020, she received glowing reviews from the likes of Pigeons & Planes, i-D, Vogue and NME. Executive-produced by Blake Slatkin — and also made with leading producers like Joel Little and benny blanco-  minor  features her beloved singles, “21,” and “I miss you, I’m sorry”.

In November 2021, Abrams returned with  This Is What It Feels Like , a 12-track project exploring such complex emotional experiences as self-betrayal, insecurity, and failed attempts at connection.  Abrams took on a greater role in the production process here, working with The National’s Aaron Dessner, Joel Little and Blake Slatkin to dream up each track.

Abrams kicked off 2022 with a headline tour of North America followed by a support slot on Olivia Rodrigo’s tour.  She reconnected with Dessner to release two songs this year – “Block me out” and “Difficult” – and continues to work on her debut album.

About GAYLE

GAYLE’s debut EP,  a study of the human experience volume one , captures the 18 year old’s most specific and vividly real emotions: the tension between longing for connection and fearing vulnerability, the risk and thrill of refusing to compromise your own needs. Released in early 2022, the project features her electrifying chart topping smash single “ abcdefu ”: a double-Platinum anthem that propelled the Nashville-based artist to over 2 billion streams globally and such milestones as being named as a Billboard Music Awards finalist, and earn such honors as American Music Award and People’s Choice Award nominations for Best New Artist, and 2 MTV VMA nominations. In the midst of navigating that whirlwind success, GAYLE headed back into the studio to create  a study of the human experience volume two —a powerful new EP that doubles down on its predecessor’s unapologetic truth-telling, with  American Songwriter  writing “GAYLE’s uncensored honesty as a lyrical storyteller is what makes her music so captivating.” Highlighted by the playfully chaotic “ fmk (with blackbear) ” and the blissful “ snow angels ,”  a study of the human experience volume two  is out now. Heralded as a magnetic live performer, GAYLE has spent the past year on a headline tour, playing alongside Tate McRae, AJR, My Chemical Romance, and at festival dates around the world.

HAIM are sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, hailing from Los Angeles, CA. The band made history as the first all-female rock group to be nominated for GRAMMY® Album of The Year with their third album, ‘Women In Music Pt. III.’ The album received two GRAMMY® nominations, the band’s single “The Steps” was nominated for ‘Best Rock Performance.’  The band again made history winning a Brit Award for Best International Group, the first time an all-female act has won this award since Destiny’s Child in 2002.  ‘Women In Music Pt. III’ was released in June and was met with an overwhelming amount of critical acclaim, rave reviews and included on a variety of year-end Top 10 lists. Named a “Critic’s Pick” by  The New York Times  and “Best New Music” by  Pitchfork , they heralded, “the third album from the trio is far and away their best. Intimate, multidimensional, and wide-ranging, the songwriting shines with personality and a great curiosity for melody and style.” ‘Women In Music Pt. III’ debuted at #1 on the Album Sales Chart, Alternative Chart and Rock Chart following release week in the US. The band also earned the #1 album in the UK, marking their second time at the top of the UK albums chart. Haim released their debut album “Days Are Gone” in 2013 which earned them a GRAMMY® nomination for Best New Artist. Renowned for their engaging high-energy live performances, HAIM have toured the world playing headline shows and festival stages including Glastonbury, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and more.  On their most recent headlining tour in support of Women In Music Part III, HAIM sold out shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden as well as Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and 02 Arena in London

About OWENN

This Summer, OWENN, the talented multi-hyphenate, brought his enigmatic spirit and smokey sense of soul to the forefront as he formally introduced himself on his debut tour, highlighted by a Main Stage East show at Lollapalooza Paris; OWENN carried the momentum from Europe having just recently opened for Lil Nas X on the two sold out New York, Radio City Music Hall shows – Long Live Montero Tour.

OWENN has attracted attention contributing dance moves on stages worldwide with A-list artists such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Normani and others. Including, most recently working with Lil Nas X to choreograph his tv performances for MTV VMAs and live show appearances on the iHeart Jingle Ball Tour.  OWENN became a staple of Taylor Swift’s show on her  1989 Tour  and  Reputation Tour .  In 2019, he starred alongside Taylor in her video for “ Lover ,” as well as Normani in her video for “ Motivation ”.

Inspired by Prince, Marvin Gaye, Usher, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, and the Smiths, among others, OWENN’s emotional and spiritual approach to dance translated to writing and recording. OWENN’s debut EP will be released in fall of 2023.

The ultimate Eras Tour guide for Los Angeles

From concert traditions to where to get swift-photographed cocktails, here is what you need to know about the swiftie socal shows..

The Eras Tour will end the U.S. leg with six shows in Los Angeles. (Photo by Myriam Alcala)

The summer tour to remember is coming to a close in sunny Southern California. Taylor Swift began the Eras tour back in March in Glendale, Arizona (or better known as Swift City). Now almost five months later, filled with memories of new surprise songs, music videos and a new Taylor’s Version, it’s hard to imagine a weekend without Swifties dancing the night away.

Swift will be performing at SoFi stadium for the first time since her Reputation stadium tour in 2017 on August 3-5 and August 7-9. The show begins at 6:30 p.m. and doors will open at 4:30 p.m . She has two opening acts.

Before the big night, there are so many things to prepare for the concert and anticipate including where to park, what to bring and what surprises to expect on the final leg of the U.S. tour.

Due to the high levels of existing traffic in Los Angeles and the added influx of drivers going to SoFi, it is highly recommended to plan out a few hours to drive or commute to the concert. Parking passes are also available on the SoFi website but are expensive and in high demand, due to the number of tailgaters also buying passes to watch the concert from the parking lot.

One way to get to the concert is Uber or to get dropped off. SoFi Stadium released specific instructions for drop off and pick up to occur on Kareem Court westbond of Pincay Drive.

Another option for travel is the Metro with the C and K lines passing through the stadium. More trains have been added and hours were extended to run until 2 a.m. For more information about the Metro visit their website .

The clear bag policy that is common for SoFi football games and is the same for the concert. Additionally the merchandise truck is open — and usually already has a line — the day before the concert. It’s at the truck where fans can secure exclusive Eras tour merchandise, specifically the blue crewneck everyone has been snagging at the first chance.

There are also many events that are happening before Swift touches ground in Hollywood Hills. Just this week the mural on Melrose released about the Spotify top five Eras feature. On the corner of Melrose and Stanley Avenues, you can find a painting for each Swift Era and take pictures.

There is also an Eras Tour Pop Up shop with custom L.A. merch and Eras Tour goodies on August 6 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 1054 South Olive St. The Bloc in L.A. will also be making customized cocktails with Taylor Swift photos and will be hosting a party August 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. where you can participate in friendship bracelet making.

Finally, there will be a Swift-themed beach bash in Santa Monica Beach on August 8, which will have bracelets, food and entertainment. You can get tickets here .

Each night of the L.A. show also has different openers. Thursday’s show welcomes Haim and Gracie Abrams; Friday, Haim and Owenn; Saturday, Haim and Gayle. Swift isn’t performing on Sunday, but comes back Monday and Tuesday with Haim and Abrams. Finally, she ends the U.S. leg of the tour with Haim and Gayle as the openers.

The openers have occasionally joined Swift during the set either as additions to the setlist or songs from the opener. Abrams joined Swift to sing “I Miss You, I’m Sorry” on Cincinnati night two and Phoebe Bridgers sang “Nothing New” with Swift during the dates when she was the opener.

Most recently, L.A. band Haim has joined Swift on these dates of the tour and, during the Seattle shows, debuted the performance of “No Body, No Crime” during the “evermore” setlist. Some fans anticipating the L.A. show took to TikTok to talk about how sad it would be if Swift repeated what she did in those shows at SoFi and replace the song “‘tis the damn season” with “No Body, No Crime,” since the former song has the infamous line “I’ll go back to L.A. to my so-called friends who’ll write books about me.”

If this is your first Taylor Swift concert, there are also a lot of traditions to participate in, with the most famous being friendship bracelet trading. Swifties have been making bracelets with Swift-inspired quotes or lyrics and handing them out at the concert. From experience, most fans are friendly and super approachable to trade bracelets with, so if this is something that piques your interest, now is the time to start bracelet making.

Another coming tradition is for fans to scream out certain chants during certain songs. If you’d like to keep clear of the set list, scroll past the following list of chants:

  • Fearless - Heart with hands at the end of chorus
  • Delicate - Scream “1, 2, 3 Let’s Go B”
  • Long Live - Point to Taylor and pump fists in air after the end of the bridge
  • All Too Well - Scream “how did that make you feel” before she sings “that made me want to die”
  • Anti-Hero - Scream “Taylor you’ll be fine” during second chorus

There are definitely more chants and ways to interact with Taylor during the 3 ½ hour set. A final, very notable tradition of this tour are also the surprise songs. During the setlist of the tour, Swift’s background singers and dancers and all the lights dim down to just her and her guitar for the acoustic set of the night. She starts out with the guitar, singing a song from any era of her discography, then moving onto piano to sing another.

The songs are completely random and occasionally are recommendations from famous friends who go and see the tour. Taylor Swift does have rules though: she doesn’t repeat a song unless she messes it up or it’s from “Midnights,” since it’s her newer album.

Many fans have been tracking and predicting what songs she’ll sing each week, and with the last week having the opportunity for 12 new surprise songs, many fans are making final guesses. If you’d like to be surprised by the possible song combinations you’ll get in L.A., scroll past the following list. Here are all the songs left on Swift’s albums (not counting other songs from her discography, although those are also fair game):

  • Debut - The Outside, Stay Beautiful, Mary’s Song, A Perfectly Good Heart
  • Fearless - Tell Me Why, The Way I Loved You, Change, Untouchable, Come In With the Rain, Superstar, We Were Happy, That’s When, Don’t You, Bye Bye Baby
  • Speak Now - Better Than Revenge, Innocent, Superman, Electric Touch, I Can See You, Foolish One
  • Red - Girl At Home, Ronan, Babe, Forever Winter, Run, The Very First Night
  • 1989 - I Know Places, You Are In Love, New Romantics
  • Reputation - End Game, I Did Something Bad, So It Goes…, King of My Heart, Dancing With Our Hands Tied, Dress
  • Lover - I Forgot That You Existed, Cornelia Street, London Boy, Soon You’ll Get Better, Afterglow, ME!, It’s Nice to Have a Friend
  • Folklore - epiphany, peace, hoax
  • Evermore - happiness, long story short, closure, it’s time to go
  • Midnights - Labyrinth, Sweet Nothing, Bigger Than the Whole Sky, Paris, Glitch, Dear Reader, You’re Losing Me

The end of the ultimate Era is almost here, as L.A. prepares to welcome the mayhem and magic of Taylor Swift to the city.

Taylor Swift

At long last, Taylor Swift has arrived in Los Angeles for the final stop of her U.S. tour — or so fans thought.

Earlier on Thursday, Aug. 3 — hours before the superstar would take the stage at SoFi Stadium — she announced a second leg of North American dates for 2024. The new dates include stops in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis and Toronto. “Turns out it’s NOT the end of an era,” Swift wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

How to Buy Last-Minute Tickets to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour in Los Angeles

And as she made perfectly clear on the first of her six-night run in L.A., slowing down is simply not in the cards. Neither is performing the same show night after night, as evidenced by the addition of two surprise songs to each set list, which Swift says is a fun way to challenge herself to dig deep into her extensive catalog — while also keeping fans on their toes, creating a sort of “gotta catch ’em all” energy.

But on Thursday, there was an even greater buzz radiating throughout the packed stadium as 70,000 fans poured in, many of whom were eagerly discussing rumors that Selena Gomez may make an appearance or that the next Taylor’s Version could be announced on this very night.

That’s the thing about the Eras Tour: it’s safe to expect the unexpected.

As it turns out, neither rumor was true. And yet, Swift’s opening night was nothing short of magical and filled with firsts, like having never performed at SoFi before or selecting a surprise song that she has never played live. And thankfully, it was all captured by a cameraman following her every move on stage, filming for something , as Swift managed to kick her power and poise into an even higher gear.

8 Ways Taylor Swift Has Changed the Music Business

The night also included stellar opening sets from Gracie Abrams, who will join Swift on her 2024 dates, and HAIM. Of the sister trio, Swift said: “Not only are these three individuals my besties, but they’re my favorite band,” also noting it was a hometown show for the rockers.

“We have a lot to catch up on, musically speaking,” Swift said later on. “I haven’t toured in five years before the Eras Tour; This is the last city on the U.S. leg and we knew we wanted to end someplace special.”

And that is was.

Below are the best moments from Swift’s opening night in L.A.

HAIM’s Not-So-Surprise Guest Appearance

Considering HAIM opened the show, fans were hoping they might return to the stage for their evermore collaboration with Swift – which thankfully, they did. (They performed it together live for the first time recently in Seattle). Relatively early in the three-and-a-half hour set, Danielle, Este and Alana joined their non-blood sister Swift for the dramatic “no body, no crime.” And though the sisters stood on their own platforms, Swift made the rounds, spending time with each before the foursome ended the song in a loving group hug.

The Potentially Record-Breaking Round of Applause

The evermore era was the gift that kept on giving. After Swift performed the affecting “Champagne Problems” at the piano, she was greeted with an applause so thunderous and so long it could have rivaled her own “10 Minute Version” of “All Too Well.” Swift explained how the song was one she felt most excited to perform live, having written it in the pandemic while deeply missing her fans.

By the time she was done, it was overwhelmingly obvious they missed her just as much. The applause lasted so long a teary-eyed Swift could hardly get a word in, opting to eventually place her head atop her keys and take it all in. She eventually took her in-ear monitors out, only to be more shocked by what was happening, telling the crowd: “That is a nice thing to do for someone when they’re starting out a six-night run at SoFi stadium…That’s very generous.”

Swift’s Oh-So-Subtle Glance Back

While wearing a stunning, sparkling and incredibly poofy princess gown, Swift delivered one of the Eras tour highlights: “Enchanted.” For much of the trek, that song alone represented Speak Now — but in July, following the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), the rallying “Long Live” was added to the mix. Following Swift’s rousing performance of the track, she sauntered to the back of the stage – pausing to quickly glance back over her right shoulder, with a smirk spread across her face and a visible twinkle in her eyes, just as she does on TV ’s album art.

A Very Special Recipient of the “22” Hat

During the Red era, Swift has made a point of gifting her black hat to one lucky recipient each night. Tonight, it was none other than Kobe Bryant’s daughter Bianka. As her mom, Vanessa, stood nearby, Bianka knelt in front of the stage wearing a layered tutu and sparkly jacket. After the two embraced, Swift gave her a kiss on the cheek before returning to the show.

Vanessa was wearing a particularly special outfit of her own, having made a custom Swiftie jean jacket that on the back featured a photo of Swift and her late husband Kobe from 2015, when the star athlete presented the singer with a banner for the most sold-out shows at the then-Staples Center. On the front of the jacket, Vanessa had a fitting lyric from Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” embroidered: “Say you’ll remember me.”

The All Too Fast "All Too Well"

Despite this being the last city on this first U.S. leg of the Eras Tour – and despite its unprecedented length for a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 – hearing “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) will simply never get old. “Do you have about 10 minutes to spare?” asked Swift, knowing all too well that her fans would – and do – give her their undivided attention for over three full hours night after night. And even though the song’s length is in its title, it never quite seems that long, solidifying just how impressive a storyteller Swift is to pack such a full narrative into such a small window.

A Friendly Reminder Of the Month

“L.A., what month is it?” teased Swift with a smile, setting the scene for “August” during her folklore era. The moment did feel particularly magical, as it was the first time on this tour (and perhaps ever) that Swift performed the song during the month it was named after. And as she sang of summer slipping away, while running across the stage as if trying to chase it, the song took on extra meaning as this first leg of her history-making trek is seemingly doing the same.

A Monumental First

Swift’s surprise songs were so stellar that they deserve their own best moment breakout. She started the acoustic portion by explaining the idea behind the nightly surprise songs, saying it’s really a celebration of how supportive her fans are of her and her music. “Every night is different,” she says, “and that forces me to really go back through all of my songs and play ones that it would never occur to me to play live or I’ve never played live before, and so tonight, we got one of the ones that I’ve never played live before.” She then played the ominous “I Can See You (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)” off Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) to roaring applause. As any Swiftie knows, there are few things better than being able to say, “I was there.”

The Blush-Inducing Second Surprise Song

As Swift swapped her guitar for her piano, it was soon clear the second surprise song of the night was “Maroon” off Midnights . And though she has indeed played it before on the Eras Tour, the fan favorite was warmly received. In fact, a hush seemed to fall over the stadium during the song, allowing lines like “That’s a real f—ing legacy to leave” to hit even harder, considering Swift is leaving hers in real time before our very eyes.

A Perfect TV-Made Moment

During the final era of Swift’s impressively-long set, she hammed it up for Midnights track “Midnight Rain.” As she got to the end of the song she couldn’t help but have some fun with one particular lyric, singing directly into the camera lens: “And he never thinks of me / Except for when I’m on TV,” at which point she stuck out her tongue in a confidently playful manner. And while it remains to be seen what surprises Swift has in store for her five nights left at SoFi, this moment proved one thing to be certain: whatever may result from tonight’s footage will be a knockout… Are you ready for it?

How Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Conquered the World

The pop star’s record-breaking, career-spanning show has dominated the summer, commanding attention and whipping up demand at a level thought unachievable in a fragmented age.

Reporting from Kansas City, Mo., and New York

As Taylor Swift rolled into Los Angeles this week, the frenzy surrounding her record-breaking Eras Tour was already in high gear.

Headlines gushed that she had given $100,000 bonuses to her crew. Politicians asked her to postpone her concerts in solidarity with striking hotel workers. Scalped tickets were going for $3,000 and up. And there were way, way too many friendship bracelets to count.

These days, the center of an otherwise splintered music world can only be Taylor Swift.

The pop superstar’s tour, which is now finishing its initial North American leg with six nights at SoFi Stadium outside Los Angeles, has been both a business and a cultural juggernaut. Swift’s catalog of generation-defining hits and canny marketing sense have helped her achieve a level of white-hot demand and media saturation not seen since the 1980s heyday of Michael Jackson and Madonna — a dominance that the entertainment business had largely accepted as impossible to replicate in the fragmented 21st century.

“The only thing I can compare it to is the phenomenon of Beatlemania,” said Billy Joel, who attended Swift’s show in Tampa, Fla., with his wife and young daughters.

In a summer of tours by stars like Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen, Morgan Wallen and Drake, Swift’s stands apart, in numbers and in media noise. Although Swift, 33, and her promoters do not publicly report box-office figures, the trade publication Pollstar estimated that she has been selling about $14 million in tickets each night. By the end of the full world tour, which is booked with 146 stadium dates well into 2024, Swift’s sales could reach $1.4 billion or more — exceeding Elton John’s $939 million for his multiyear farewell tour, the current record-holder.

Swift has now had more No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 over the course of her career than any other woman, surpassing Barbra Streisand. With the tour lifting Swift’s entire body of work, she has placed 10 albums on that chart this year and is the first living artist since the trumpeter and bandleader Herb Alpert in 1966 to have four titles in the Top 10 at the same time.

“It’s a pretty amazing feat,” Alpert, 88, said in a phone interview. “With the way radio is these days, and the way music is distributed, with streaming, I didn’t think anyone in this era could do it.”

But how did a concert tour become so much more: fodder for gossip columns, the subject of weather reports , a boon for friendship-bracelet beads — the unofficial currency of Swiftie fandom — and the reason nobody could get a hotel room in Cincinnati at the end of June?

“She is the best C.E.O., and best chief marketing officer, in the history of music,” said Nathan Hubbard, a longtime music and ticketing executive who co-hosts a Swift podcast . “She is following people like Bono, Jay-Z and Madonna, who were acutely aware of their brands. But of all of them, Taylor is the first one to be natively online.”

Swifties have chronicled the stream of celebrity fans who have turned up each night: Julia Roberts, the New York Jets’ new quarterback Aaron Rodgers, even Flavor Flav of Public Enemy. But Swift has also made each show a news event by adding two “surprise songs,” often with headline-grabbing guests. On the July day that she put out a music video featuring Taylor Lautner, an ex-boyfriend, the actor backflipped across the stage in Kansas City, Mo., and paid Swift effusive tribute — “not just for the singer you are,” Lautner said, “but for the human you are.” The crowd registered its approval with an earsplitting roar.

The Taylorpalooza extends to every level of the news media, which began the coverage cycle by chronicling Swift’s ticketing fiasco last November, when fans — and scalpers’ bots — crushed Ticketmaster’s systems, leading to a heated Senate Judiciary hearing . Since then, seemingly no nugget of Swift news has escaped coverage, from the stars in the stands to oddities like a Seattle concert that, according to one researcher, shook the ground with an intensity equivalent to a 2.3-magnitude earthquake .

Music critics have portrayed the Eras Tour as showing Swift at the top of her game as a media-savvy, big-tent talent, a pop star with a knack for grand spectacle as well as the polished artistry of a classic songwriter.

Shania Twain, the country-pop star whose career in some ways prefigured Swift’s, caught the Las Vegas stop of the Eras Tour, a 44-plus song production that goes as long as three and a half hours. She praised Swift’s “beautiful balance” of high-tech stagecraft and intimate performance segments. “I have to applaud her,” Twain said in a telephone interview. “As a performer, I know that work that goes into it.”

The power of Swift’s fan army — and fear of crossing the star, or even appearing to — has kept nearly all of the press about the tour sunny. Though some fans (and parents) balked at the ticket prices and challenges of securing seats, most frustration was directed squarely at Ticketmaster, not Swift. After a few weeks of headlines romantically linking Swift with a frontman some fans considered to be problematic, reports spread in the celebrity pages that they had split. (Swift’s representatives declined to comment for this article.)

For fans, the shows are a pilgrimage, and a rediscovery of the joys of mass gatherings. Flights are packed with Swifties, and travelers trade stories and compare outfits — drawn from looks associated with Swift “eras” — in stadium corridors and parking lots. In Kansas City, the comedian Nikki Glaser was attending her eighth show, a commitment that she estimated has cost her $25,000.

“This year I decided not to freeze my eggs,” Glaser said. “I’m going to put that money toward the thing I love most in the world, which is Taylor Swift.”

Before Eras, Swift hadn’t been on tour since 2018. And her catalog has grown by seven No. 1 albums since then, fueled in part by three rerecorded “Taylor’s Versions” of her first LPs — a project hailed by Swift’s fans as a crusade to regain control of her music, though it is also an act of revenge after the sale of Swift’s former record label, a move that, she said , “stripped me of my life’s work.”

“Folklore” and “Evermore” expanded her palate into fantastical indie-folk and brought new collaborators into the fold: Aaron Dessner from the band the National and Justin Vernon, a.k.a. Bon Iver, rock-world figures who helped attract new listeners.

The other major tour this year that is enticing fans to book transcontinental flights, and to show up costumed and in rapture, is also by a woman: Beyoncé, 41, whose Renaissance tour is a fantasia of disco and retrofuturism. Like Swift, she is also a trailblazing artist-entrepreneur, maintaining tight control over her career and fostering a rich connection with fans online. Together with Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie,” a critique of the patriarchy told in hot pink, they are signs of powerful women ruling the discourse of pop culture.

But in music, at least, the scale and success of Swift’s tour is without equal. Later this month, after completing 53 shows in the United States, she will kick off an international itinerary of at least 78 more before returning to North America next fall. Beyoncé’s full tour has 56 dates; Springsteen’s, 90. (Recently, Harry Styles wrapped a 173-date tour in arenas and stadiums, grossing about $590 million.)

Outside Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, fans posed for selfies and shared their ticketing ordeals. Esmeralda Tinoco and Sami Cytron, 24-year-old former sorority sisters, said they had paid $645 for two seats. A stone’s throw away, Karlee Patrick and Emily DeGruson, both 18 and dressed as a pair in angel/devil costumes after a line in Swift’s “Cruel Summer,” sat “Taylorgating” at the edge of the parking lot; they said they had paid $100 for parking but couldn’t afford tickets.

As Swift’s opening acts finished, the crowd rushed in. Glaser, the comedian, later said that of the eight shows she had been to, her favorites were the ones where she had brought her mother — and converted her to Swiftie fandom.

“Everyone is in love with her,” Glaser said her mom told her after one show in Texas. “Now I get it.”

los angeles eras tour map

Taylor Swift fans in Southern California will get a second chance to see her SoFi Stadium show when “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” concert film comes to theaters on Oct. 13. The movie was filmed during the Los Angeles concerts in August.

Those who attended the first three night of her shows in Los Angeles were the first to get wind that an Eras Tour film would be coming out. Some fans assumed it would go straight to streaming like her previous projects “Taylor Swift: The 1989 World Tour” that premiered on Apple Music, “Taylor Swift Reputation Stadium Tour” available on Netflix and “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions” which can be watched on Disney+.

However, on Aug. 31, Swift took to social media to drop the trailer for The Eras Tour Concert Film and announce it would be released in theaters in North America. A month later she shared that it would instead be coming to theaters worldwide.

Bringing the Eras Tours to cinemas is allowing many fans to not only relive the experience, but for some, it’s an opportunity to see the concert for the first time.

Things to know before you go:

In less than 24 hours the concert film had broken AMC’s U.S. record for the highest ticket sales revenue during a single day in their 103-year history. The movie theatre chain later announced that the film had already surpassed $100 million in global advance ticket sales.

While there are still plenty of shows available for the Oct. 13 opening night, some in demand times and locations have already sold out.

Tickets start a $19.89, a nod to her next re-record album “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” which will be released Oct. 27, 2023

For those looking for exclusive merchandise options, Cinemark , AMC , Regal and Galaxy Theaters are all offering Eras Tour themed popcorn buckets and cups. Mini Eras Tour Posters will be given out starting on opening night, but they are first come, first served.

@cinemark Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour merch? SAY. LESS. 😍🤩 Available in theaters starting 10/13. FYI: the cup is ✨EXCLUSIVE✨ to Cinemark and features a metallic design! 🫶 #cinemark #taylorswift #erastour ♬ original sound – Taylor Nation

As far as rules about etiquette, many Swifties have taken it upon themselves to contact their local theaters to confirm singing, dancing and dressing up is allowed. AMC has put out a guide saying that singing and dancing is permitted, as long as it’s not on the chairs. Other AMC guidelines say there is no filming of the concert film.

@thefolkloretheorist Replying to @TalPal 👹 Is this a concert or not? How loud CAN you be at the Eras tour movie? Let’s ask 3 local theaters what it would take to get thrown out. #swifttok #tstheerastour #erastourmovie #theerastourconcertfilm #taylorswift #greenscreen ♬ original sound – The Folklore Theorist

Taylor Nation, Swift’s official fan club account, took to Twitter to encourage fans to dress up in their favorite Eras Tour looks.

Dress code is #TSTheErasTour . 🤓💃 #TSTheErasTourFilm https://t.co/ChaUS8l4mw pic.twitter.com/zWooSjguNI — Taylor Nation (@taylornation13) September 13, 2023

The friendship bracelet trading made popular at the concerts will likely continue at the cinema, and it looks like some theaters are joining in on the fun. Alamo Theaters provided a FAQ just for the film and is hinting that they might have some friendship bracelets. There’s speculation that other theater chains such as AMC will also be gifting friendship bracelets.

Now that you know the rules, here are some tips for watching the movie with a little extra Swiftie shimmer.

Where to Watch the “Eras Tour” in Southern California

Los Angeles:

AMC Century City 15

This was the spot to be for Barbenheimer , the internet dubbed title for the double feature during “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” opening weekend. Part of the hype for this theater was that it brought out Barbie decor with outfits from the film on display and a pink makeover for the staircase. It will be interesting to see if something similar happens for the “Eras Tour” film, if not current tour outfits, maybe some from her catalog of costumes.

The theater is located within the Century City Mall, which also includes Cafe Landwer . Their menu features Eras Tour themed meals and drinks such as “Taylor Tots” and a “Holy Grounds” Iced Coffee.

Paramount Drive-In

Attending a drive-in turns watching a movie into an experience instantly. Guests can either bring a chair to sit in or stay in the car. For those who don’t want to rely on car audio, other listening options include bringing a portable speaker or downloading a radio app. One of the best ways to see a drive-in is by making the most of your vehicle, preferably a truck, and filling it with pillows. For those with smaller cars who want to get the full Pinterest experience, U-Haul rents trucks starting at $20.

The Paramount Drive-In offers a snack bar on site if you want classic movie snacks like popcorn and candy but guests can also bring their own food in.

AMC The Grove 14

The Grove has made a name for itself with many who visit Los Angeles making it a point just to stop at this mall to take a picture in front of the fountain. Not only are there plenty of options for cute photo opportunities with fellow Swifties at the Grove, there are a variety of restaurants to choose from for a pre-movie meal. Visitors can also make their way over to the Farmers Market, which houses an assortment of local vendors in a picturesque outdoor dining area.

Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk Hollywood

The Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk Hollywood has arguably some of the best recliner seats in Southern California. This is a small but important detail when selecting a movie theater: The seats recline just a tad further than the others, which provides a satisfying viewing experience.

In addition to the seats, Citywalk has a few other benefits to offer such as Universal Studios Hollywood being right next door, convenient for those who have an annual pass and want to go on some rides beforehand. Parking is in the same area as the theme park and $5 after showing your ticket.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema – Downtown Los Angeles

Here’s something cool about this theater, in addition to playing movies on the big screen, it also has a lounge where guests can rent movies out for free. The cinema also has recliner chairs, delivers food to your seat and as an added bonus, has an outdoor patio. The menu is loaded with different entree options and has a variety of flavored popcorn to enhance the experience.

AMC DINE-IN Topanga 12

The Eras Tour has a run time of 2 hours and 40 minutes. If you don’t want to miss a second of it but want a dinner break, Topanga Mall is the way to go. The Theater offers concession deliveries straight to your seat so guests can decide what time they want it to arrive. For those who don’t want movie theater food, just two floors down is the newly opened “ Topanga Social .” This modern take on a mall food court is home to 24 different dining options including Buratta House and Dumpling Monster.

Topanga Social will be hosting a Taylor Swift: Eras Tour Celebration on Oct. 13 where Swift’s music will be playing all night. The event will Swiftie themed desserts and drinks such as “Midnight Rain” and “Cornelia Street Cosmo” for $13.13, a nod to Swift’s favorite number. The drinks also include a friendship bracelet.

Starlight Terra Vista 6 Movies

This is a small but mighty theater. Tickets are typically cheaper here than most chains, but since the Eras Tour film counts as a special event, tickets are going to start at $19.89 wherever you go. The biggest plus is that there are still plenty of tickets available at this theater so if you’re trying to organize a big group this might be your best bet.

For those who made a “Mean Girls” reference and answered “the limit does not exist,” Regal at Riverside Plaza has its guests covered as they have 26 showings of the film within a 12-hour period on both Saturday and Sunday.

Regal has taken it upon themselves to break down Taylor Swift’s Cinematic History which highlights the singer’s concert movies, documentaries and acting roles which can help get any new fans up to speed or serve as source material for Taylor Swift Trivia while waiting for the film to start.

The location is only 8 minutes away from Downtown Riverside which has plenty of dining options such as Chat Noir, the Food Lab and Casey’s Cupcakes if you’re looking for a sweet treat.

Rubidoux Drive-In Theatre

When the Eras Tour was making its way across the U.S. this summer, many fans decided not to let the fact that they didn’t have tickets prevent them from listening to Swift live and instead tailgated the concert and listen from the parking lot. Why not bring back the best parts about that experience by decorating your car with your favorite lyrics painted on the windows and getting to the venue early to go from car to car trading friendship bracelets.

Drive-Ins are fun for all ages, especially when it doubles as a pajama party. Attendees can remain on theme as well. Fans can DIY a Junior Jewels shirt from the You Belong With Me music video and pair it with some plaid pajamas. Many have already given it an Eras Tour touch by swapping friend names on the shirt for Swift’s different albums.

Other comfy options include the Squirrel pajama set from the We Are Never Getting Back Together music video or bring back the phase of tie dying to replicate the Lover album artwork on a pair of sweats.

The Rubidoux Drive-In Theatre also doubles as a Swap Meet from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tues. through Sun. which gives Swifties the opportunity to find some last minute outfit inspiration and other hidden treasures.

Van Buren Drive-In Theatre and Swap Meet

Good news for those looking for last minute tickets for the Eras Tour film, there is no advance purchase option at the Van Buren Drive-In. That means tickets are first come, first serve. It makes for a great last minute option that is just as fun. Chairs are allowed as long as they don’t block anyone’s view.

You can get your typical movie theater snacks as well as burritos and tacos from the concession area.

The box office opens one hour before show time on Fridays and Saturdays and 30 minutes before Sundays-Thursdays. The film is playing only on weekends until Nov. 5.

Have tickets to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Los Angeles? Here's what you need to know

Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour will hit Los Angeles in August. Here's everything you need to know before you go.

Swift is performing six sold-out shows on Aug. 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9. SoFi Stadium is located at 1001 Stadium Drive in Inglewood.

The show starts at 6:30 p.m. The stadium said guests aren't to remain in the parking lots or outside of the stadium once the show starts.

On this tour, Swift is performing two (or more) surprise songs at each tour date, and with only a few songs left, fans are tracking which songs could be performed at their show.

Fans have also been speculating Swift could announce the 1989 (Taylor's Version) release date at her final Los Angeles show in 8/9. On July 27, right before her shows in Santa Clara, Swift's social media account was changed back to a Midnights-themed header and profile picture, leaving fans with just 19 days in the Speak Now TV era. Combining the 19 days of the Speak Now era with the date of the final U.S. show makes, you guessed it, 1989. This coupled with SoFi Stadium's tweet that included a photo of a lifeguard tower with 1989 on the side.

Is this theory only true in our wildest dreams? Well, we'll just have to wait and see.

Some parking is available near the stadium HERE .

Find a map of the parking lots at SoFi Stadium below .

Find directions on Waze, Google Maps or Apple Maps to various parking lots under the navigation tap HERE .

SoFi Stadium said delays are expected on Interstate 105, 405, and 110 as well as streets surrounding the venue, so attendees should plan to get there early.

When do the parking lot and gates open?

  • Parking zones open: Noon
  • Stadium gates open: 4:30 p.m.
  • Scheduled show time: 6:30 p.m.
  • Parking lots close: 90 minutes after the show ends (or whenever you can get out)
  • Early merchandise will be open to the public at Lake Park across from SoFi Stadium on Wednesday, Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 6 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Swift will take fans on a journey through her musical periods with costume changes to match. Here are the eras represented in the show:

Opening Acts

  • Thursday, Aug. 3 with HAIM, and Gracie Abrams
  • Friday, Aug. 4 with HAIM, and OWENN
  • Saturday, Aug. 5 with HAIM, and GAYLE
  • Monday, Aug. 7 with HAIM & Gracie Abrams
  • Tuesday, Aug. 8 with HAIM & Gracie Abrams
  • Wednesday, Aug. 9 with HAIM & GAYLE

What's allowed at the show?

SoFi Stadium said only mobile tickets are accepted. No screenshots or PDFs will be accepted to enter the stadium.

Clear bag policy

Only clear bags  not larger than 12” x 6” x 12” and small clutches 4” x 6” are allowed in the stadium. One-gallon clear plastic zip-lock bags are permitted. People with bags not allowed in can return their items to their car. There is no bag check available.

Permitted Items

  • Friendship bracelets ARE allowed
  • Factory-sealed water bottles that are 20 oz. or less (1 per person)
  • Handheld banners and signs
  • Only medical/COVID masks or religious face coverings are permitted

Prohibited Items

  • Air horns, amplified music and loudspeakers
  • Balloons
  • Banners or signs larger than 3 feet x 5 feet
  • Balls of any type, frisbees or similar throwable items
  • No clothing, costume, or personal effects that may impede the view of those around or behind you

Taylor Swift brings her blockbuster, career-spanning Eras Tour to Los Angeles for a six-performance engagement at SoFi Stadium beginning Aug. 3.

To help Swifties get to and from the venue for the sold-out shows, Metro has added late-night service and a free shuttle to stations around the stadium.

Service has been extended to around 2 a.m., Metro said in a news release, and free shuttle service to the stadium will be available from the downtown Inglewood K Line stop and the Hawthorne/Lennox C Line stop.

Shuttles will run between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. and for 90 minutes after the end of each of Swift’s performances, scheduled for Aug. 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9.

Metro did not immediately respond to questions about how many riders it was expecting for the performances.

On social media, when a Beyoncé fan asked if the added service would be used for Queen Bey’s three shows scheduled for Sept. 1, 2 and 4, Metro said there were “no details at this time.”

But in response to a Twitter user who hoped to see the added service for all events at SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater and the Kia Forum, Metro said it would take the suggestion under consideration.
